"Rapidly down the left field line. Adam hammering down the right field line. 11 hit on the ground right side charging into his right. Simeon collects throws the first and Muncie is out. Marcus Semien, one of three Blue Jays in the starting lineup more the American made through it over Lewis, Buddy Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The Oscar Hernandez in left field. Yeah, and now batting is Nolan. Are Granado, who got such a hand in pregame introductions and now a good chunk of the fans here at core. His rise to their feet are. Renato takes off his helmet, tips his cap and look at Otani. He understands the moment he steps off the mound. He goes for a little walk goes for a stretch just so that our Reinado can get all the love. From the Denver fans. Coronado Digs in six time being an All Star Course, a star here with the Rockies for eight years. Here's the pitch that one skips in for Ball one. The Rockies traded in February 1st of this year to the Cardinals. And he's played very well for ST Louis to 65 17 homers, slugging and even 500 a little bit of an open stance on the right side. He stands deep in the batter's box waves the bat the one old pop foul back over the screen, and that is out of play count even up. No score. Bottom of the first American League of the National League. 91st. MLB All Star Game here in Denver. John Shopping, Chris Singleton, our producer, Justin, where and our engineer Al Rosen burner as well, Buster, Only Tim Kurkjian, Bob White Engineering as well. But 11 swang and, um, it's well, How about the American League? They have One this match up last seven times. Yeah, and overall, almost even Ailes 45 43 2 in the history, not absolute domination, But seven straight is 12 is fouled back of late. It has certainly been slanted the American League. The one thing that's pretty amazing is the fact that the American League has that to win advantage all Time. So this is the 91st game. The L has outscored the NL 3 73 to 3 70 plus three runs Catanese Last fastball hit 100 on the gun, the +12 off the outside edge. That was 99 point seventh. So two balls and two strikes on our Renato Molinar and Adam with 30 years old. Eight times he's won the Gold Glove and facing Shohei Otani and the pitch swaying in a bouncer out too short, big hop taken in by both guards who flips on the move and throws out Nolan are dato and they go 123 end of one here in Denver. And there is no score the L and the N L. This is the 2021 MLB All Star game.

"A great boy. Self, A great Lakes 7 60 wjr sitting in today. Gotta do jr's Chris Read, Wake. All right, Bob. Mark, Steve. Everybody else on the line. Hold tight. We'll get back to you here in just a second. I wanted to throw this into the mix, too, because Look, Michigan's gonna lose a congressional seat. We're gonna go from 14 to 13 and these districts, they're going to be redrawn. By the Citizen Commission. Which was appointed by The secretary of state, and it Z. Who is going to benefit from this right? Or at least here in the state? I think nationally, the Republicans benefit from this because you've got states like Texas gaining two seats floor is getting another one. I think on a wider view, this benefits Republicans more than Democrats, but specifically here in the state water. Some of these New district's gonna look like and who could be on the outs while the help us figure that all out eyes a somebody who's got their nose in the mix of all of this. John Selig, founder and CEO of Harbor Strategic Is with us this morning, John, How are you doing? Hey, I'm great, Chris. Thanks for having us. Good. Yeah, you got it s O with going down from 14 to 13. What are you expecting to see from some of these districts? Like who? Who are you watching the most? What cold part of the state. You know, it's pretty fascinating stuff. And maybe, unfortunately for the general public because we won't know what these maps look like, maybe his late until next year. We're gonna have a lot of time to be talking about it. You know the bottom line like you said it. Michigan did grow some balls. Headlines sounded good that we're over 10 million again. But those air hollow victories Michigan have not grown enough. We're basically and last place for states actually did. Growing. All the seats are moving to those southern and Southwestern states like you talked about that means, you know, because of the new system that we have in place for redistricting. We're facing total uncertainty. That's a completely new process with you people. We don't know what it's gonna look like. And then you add the failure of the sentence to be completed on time. It's really kind of Ah. Um, perfect storm of delay and confusion. And But that means that if you're in a comment, right now, you have to plan for the worst. You have to assume you may have a total battle on your hands. Because the map that we will get today it's going to be obliterated both from the same point of having one fewer seats. In Michigan, but also because the folks setting it up don't have any allegiance to any being comments. They're going to just shake that thing loose and start all over again. So Southeast Michigan certainly does seem to see a lot of change. Open counting has grown, but you know, Southeast Michigan as a whole is not grown fast enough. West Michigan in Grand Rapids can county a problem? Much more. So all these seats and open county like that 80 Elevens, and it was a flak in and Healy Steven. These other seats serving to see the most change take place. It's interesting, because I mean, you look at like, elicits lock ins district. I mean, it goes from Oakland County all the way up to Windham County in parts of Lansing, and you look at some of the folks that have been in those districts before. Certainly a guy like Mike Bishop. It sounds like John James could be considering a run in that in that in that going into The house. Um so certainly Oakland County is gonna be interesting. Because you've got, uh, you mentioned Let's lock in, and Haley Stevens, but and 11 and Brenda Lawrence are gonna be up for it to, um to me. I think the most interesting Possible shakeup could be in mid Michigan. We got John Molinar out of Midland. And then you've got Dan Kilby in Flint. Now, Kilby. It sounds like he's being, uh, kind of put the target on his back because they're gonna come after him. You go around Kilby's district, and it's a lot of pro Trump supporters. A lot of Republican supporters. It looks like his district could be expanding. So whether or not John Molinar Indian killed the if that's kind of the district where they get chopped up enough to where you're only gonna get one of them didn't kill that could be in trouble there..

"Washington Just 9.8% wins the division. Okay? And Miami. Ah playoff team. Mind you last year has a 0.0 John Blue tar ski like chance of winning the division. Now we go to the NL Central, The Marlin. Things fair. I mean, with the whole pandemic. They've missed the whole bunch of games. They got hot at the right time. So that's that. That's who they are. Let's go to the NL Central, who do they have winning the division? I kind of did the Cubs should, but I'm thinking they may say ST Louis The Milwaukee Brewers when the division three games clear the field, almost four with 88.8 wins and a 55% chance of winning the division. The second place team in the NL Central actually has a better record than the White Sox. They are the Chicago Cubs. 85 wins. ST Louis finishes under 500 with Molinar, Renato. All right, Well, that's just nonsense right there. That's just nonsense. We'll see how it plays out all. Come on, stop it! Come on that I told you, I said, because the divisions bad and because the Cubs office and found money for Jack Peterson team that was poor, a team that was ghetto. They had nothing. Almost. Suddenly they found money under the cushions here to pay. Jack Peterson. I said this division, the Cubs could actually still make the playoffs. I still believe I will actually put that bat down to the Cubs will make the playoffs this upcoming season. But Milwaukee's one What do they do in the off season? Not a lot. They got Colten long, okay? I don't get that. So I'm curious how fans feel about this stuff because people pay attention again. The games are played on the field, not nitpick OTA world, but everyone always in the baseball world looks forward to Pecota standings. They're usually pretty good. Not always. I think in all five they underestimated the White Sox in O Six. I think they overestimated the White Sox. Well, they shouldn't know they were they were. I think the number was fair No. Five. Nobody knew the Sox would win the World Series and No. Five even Sox fans would tell you that right? All all the all these guys, these guys out of different Teams and they're just peace Million team together and no ideas. Kappas suddenly would be that good or or Jermaine died. They had no idea the pitching would come together The way didn't know five. No way, so but according to what you're telling us here, the Cubs will have more wins and the White Sox this season. Is that what you just told me? 85 83. Not sex. All right. Do you have a thought and baseball is trying to ruin baseball even further. "We're hoping to be able to complete the work. We started and do it in a with some decorum, but obviously this is really changed. Trajectory of the day considerably. To those that were going to go through what they knew to be a feudal objection process. Should they drop it? That would be my recommendation. I but ultimately, you know, each person is elected independently and people make up their own decisions. But Um, you know, I think You know, making, um You know, I think our country on bringing people together is so important right now that that would be my recommendation. Um, and we'll see where that goes. Just while I have you here. It's certainly And while it's a much lesser story, now the idea that Republicans have lost the majority in the Senate What does that do for the agenda that you were hoping to carry forward? Well, it's gonna be a challenging time and, you know, obviously we want to conduct the debates with the corps. Um, we want to stand on the principles that we believe in and And but do it in a way that respects the great country that we have, and so you know, we'll be working on those on the coming days. And you know, In some cases, Republicans are going to be playing defense. But we want to do it in an honorable way and And also just celebrate that we have a great country and its zwart preserving that and so that's gonna be my main focus. For you, Congressman Molinar. We appreciate your time. One last thing before we go here at the Capitol Police have acted bravely today but was there from a security standpoint, we know the national Guard was put on alert. But they were not deployed in advance of this. Do you think this could have been prevented with with a greater show of security? Or was this crowd just simply too large? And with this have happened anyway? You know, That'll be something that message of zero tolerance. Yeah, you know, in hindsight will have to look at that and see because I do think the police have been very brave and courageous and, um, it is a huge crowd and people with very strong emotions. But you do you know strategically could have been done better. I'm sure we'll have a chance to review that in the future. But right now it's it's still Work in progress, so I wouldn't want to draw any conclusions at this point. All right, sir, we are. We're so very happy that you're in a secure place and that we hope that this has a very calm resolution, but it still appears thousands of people have ringed the capital. "Was down towards the corner skips it to SAR Sar Open for three. No good and Molinar has the rebound. He fell down the Kentucky bench wanted to travel but state got it away. SARS, handsome good looks. He has just needs a shot to fall in Libya. Sari's five of 14 from the floor and now whistle and a foul off the ball is state walked into a half court. This will go on, Alan. Yeah, that is his third as the night foul. So Mississippi State will get two free throw Or at least one free throw out of it right now. I think Olivier Sar, struggling with his confidence. He's continuing his chute having some good shots, good opportunities. I don't know if he believes they're going to go down the front end of the one and one Mrs Long State struggles with their free throw shooting, And that time it was Matthews. You missed it. Long. Kentucky with the rebound, a chance to Tired claim the lead here down 63 61 state trying to trap along those wings. Sorry, takes it on the right baseline will bring it back out to Mintz Mintz drives into the low post against the dew off Alan Left side. Now, here's Alan into the paint puts up the five footer. It's swatted away one by mints on the loose ball. His shot won't fall where nearly had the rebound, but it's taken away by state. And Stewart is often running Stuart down the lane. His shots blocked from behind by Mets, but they're going to get Maybe on on the foul. Poor Kentucky at the other, end the offensive and just wasn't strong enough to find that ball just had to squeeze it. Where was there? He couldn't get a hold of it didn't squeeze it. Golden opportunity right there like you always hear that cliche in any sport about it being a game of inches, and it feels like Kentucky's right there. They just can't get across that finish line. Free throw is no good. I mean, you go back to the end of regulation. All three of those shots look good. All three of them. They just wouldn't fall. Oh, they did. Yes, they did. And where's put back? You mentioned he wasn't in great position. His hand was right there in the ball just comes off the rim on him. Just that's how close 3 22 go in overtime. State takes a three point lead on the second free throw that goes in for Stewart 64 61 ask you Left side. Hi. Molinar is really turned up the temperature on ask you here in the second half down the stretch minutes takes it minutes into the lane. Right hand hook Shot is good. A little floater in the lane over those outstretched hands of Mississippi State. It's needed this score. Their bits does exactly What you have to do if you're not hitting your outside shot, drive it to the hoop. Both teams with one time out remaining to 47 to go in this first overtime. Here's Mullen are off the curl free throw line jumper comes off, though the rebound taken underneath by two loose Smith and he's fouled before the put back to Lou Smith. There's a nice job. Get it around the paint because he knows how to use that lower body. Did you see people start moving just a little bit inside, and there he is. He moves them with the lower body leans on him. Keeps the hands up where the referee's. They're looking for the hands. He gets away with that push of the lower body. And the free throw by Smith in front of a hushed hub goes in first. There's only about 1000 people there tonight. So when they fall silent, you could hear a pin drop in the gymnasium and our friend Neil prices there. Courtside during the game forward Mississippi State had a chance to catch up with him earlier this week. Free throw is up and no good. It's a four point actually. Two point Mississippi stately 65 63 states, leaving the door opens and leaving it open. Kentucky's got occasion made a shot to follow yours. Ask you off the hands off down the lane might have got found. No whistle off the contact the ball. Those picked up my top man who sticks it up in in 65, right place right time. He moved to the basket on the offside anticipating a missed shot found a ball bowling are moving. Run off that high screen skips it to Stuart. Right side. Hi. Stewart. Now do a do between the circles and now to lose Smith all alone at the top of the key. He's looking for one of his guards. They've run the shot clock down to eight years. Molinar Outfront Allen on him. Kolinahr comes in the high post to lose Smith. He doesn't move to get away from topping. Kisses it off the glass. No good rebound taken by to lose Smith. This ball swatted out in it goes right to one of states guards in the backcourt, and that was Johnson. And they'll reset as we get down the 1 40 to go in this overtime physicality of to lose Smith. He just stayed after it. After it until he could finally kick it out. Shot clock down to five and now Stewart lost the ball, but it's picked up by Johnson Johnson heaves a desperate three. That's no good, long rebound comes off Alan Kentucky, looks for the lead tied at 65 1 20 to go in the overtime. Ask you settles down his team as they run their setting the half cord. Rescue comes to start now back to ask you off the screen left side Alan Alan Open for three off the fake bottom. Kentucky front. Is he having a ball game tonight or what? Young fella? Fill it up. Alan 63 pointers 18 points in the Cats lead by 3 58 seconds to go in the overtime. Here's Molinar trying to drive right into a double team. The ball's knocked free and it's going to go out on the baseline off of SAR. But you have to think now is you're going to try to deny the trade. But you don't want to Fallon guy inside the three point line and give him a three point play the old fashioned way. Just a beautiful move on Allen's three is we gotta look on the replay from the TV broadcast that little head fake. Got the defender away wide open state having trouble getting it in, They finally find Stuart left side high off the baseline, a long, dangerous pass. 12.

Mississippi State picks it up there in the Maroons here tonight at the hump in the front court comes Molinar with the dribble. He'll hand it off on the right side. Hi to Johnson. Swing it left. Here's Mullen are trying to get in the paint dumps it off on the right now to Stuart Stuart launches an early three and that one rims off of the rebound taken away by Kentucky's Olivia. Sorry the cats are running. Wishing Tipo in the front court that work it down on the right block to Jackson and now back out two minutes. That's right Wing little Skip Pass comes to Jackson left side here, sorr sorry. Gets into the paint Will spin move on the left block of fade away. Shot comes off the rim. No good on the rebound, controlled by a do in Mississippi State comes back the other way, Not a good shot selection and do too big try to shoot over. Facing the basket on the baseline Johnson with the basketball for state in the high post, the working underneath to a Duke. A doing a turnaround. Lay up is good from the right block one minute into nothing state. Muscled that shot up using the glass very quickly. And with the basketball in the half court is ask you, they'll work it left side. The Boston Boston brings it between the circles. Now they find Jackson Jackson with a hand off their limits. Vince comes out on the left side of the elbow and backs out high of the art shot clock is down to eight. As they work into sorry back two minutes on the handoff. Let's try to turn the corner. Free throw line jumper from the right side is no good. And Mississippi State had the rebound of foul is gonna be called on. I think this is going to go on Kentucky SAR. There's the silly fouls that you've got to manage better. I mean, Mississippi State has three quarters of the floor to go. You make a basket from where the foul Took place and stars just gotta be Mork. Conscious of that not waste of foul that far from your.

"Get out of the hospital will be made at some time. Today, they set a late morning kneading with doctors. It's obviously well into the afternoon there in Washington D. C. So Haven't heard anything today, at least about the president's condition. He was busy today was the Tweetstorm. By the way, I think they had 19 different tweets. It's just small caps. Words soup. It was, it was like it was like space Force Vote. Guns Vote. Religious liberty vote serial Vote lot cereal. No law and order vote. So something was going on. White House press secretary Kayleigh Mcenany is the latest to test positive for covert 19 She tweeted this morning that she has no symptoms is not considered to have been close enough, according to her with any members of the White House Press corps to require any sort of contact tracing, but that's one of the criticisms of what the White House has been doing with this current outbreak is That they haven't been doing very aggressive contact racing to make sure people know what's going on. So Chris and Carlo is doing all of the research on the propositions that will appear on the ballot. I got my mail in ballot over the weekend. You did? Yeah, I gotta I gotta my booklet, but I don't have the ballot. I got my ballot. Vote yet. No, my wife. I think I'm pretty sure my wife has she as soon as it came in. She was like balance here. Ripped it open and everything out like it was a Jason Penny catalogue from it was it was like I could see just fire burning in all this out s O. Chris has been putting together the proposition to podcast where he goes through all of the different propositions 12 of them on the November ballot. Andi were up to prop 18. This was put on the ballot by the Legislature would amend the state constitution allowing 17 year olds to vote in a primary. If they would turn 18 by the time the general election with seems fair, I am not Teo. Whether or not that's fair, that's for you guys to call, But here's the deal, right? You've got a lot of you've got a lot of 17 year olds who As they get ready to turn. 18 are looking at the primary slate and saying Wait a second. I don't like anything here and then maybe they just decide not to vote one once it gets to the general election. Yeah, I mean, there's not really a lot of data on this. I mean, we haven't really extensively pulled 17 year olds to find out how many of them are politically engaged. But here's the interesting thing is that for those that do decide to vote when they turn 18 they are Probably politically engaged enough to know the issues and arguably are politically engaged enough. Teo exceed the knowledge on the issues of a lot of people that who are older than them. That's one of the arguments coming from the from the Yes campaign. So this was put together basically by one guy, and this would be some women, Kevin Molinar, the South San Francisco and I just want to get to a cut from him real quick. Wait..

"And then tiger number one hit that put it number nine himself which in normal masters conditions. The putt he had on the ninth host would have run off the front of the green, no ifs. No. As though, but but the greens have been slow all week and everybody that I talked to was talking on the players in kegs. We're talking about that. And then the shot that he hit on sixteen when that started coming down towards the whole bra. I never heard the media center act like that before in my mic cacao. It's Michael how much of what he did. Yesterday was playing a great round of golf hitting great shots making putts when he needed to make putts and how much of it was just having been through there. A million times knowing where to hit it not aiming at the flag on twelve hitting it in the middle of the green understanding where you can miss and just the experience of having been through it a million times before how much was. Is that the factor in him winning yesterday? Fifty fifty. It was fifty fifty. I think you know, if the the funny thing is on that twelve when you talk about tiger played it smart and play to the middle of that green. If tiger have went. I there. There's a good chance. He would hit it in the water too. Because if when you go back and watch those highlights again, both when Francesco molinar stepped up and then when Tony females stepped up the flag on that. Green was not moving. It was hanging limp. And there are a lot of times guys. Look back to look at the flag on eleven to see what that's doing. And that's like wasn't moving either. The only win that that was up. There was on top of the trees. But at that twelve hold it rolls over the top of those trees and then. It's hard to describe it. But it's it acts like a wave that breaks over it self. So it just stays up there spinning and if you saw Molinari's got ball it got right? When it got hit a green, you saw it gave me if you're not into golf, you wouldn't you might not notice it. But those of us in Gaul when that ball got right over the water. It looked like something hit it, and it just drop straight down like it didn't continue going forward. And that's that winded twelve which tiger understood. So when he hit nine he hooded tonight and a hit a little bit lower with a little more phone it. So it got through that role of that air the wave of air that was tumbling of above the green, and that's straight experience right there straight expense. But like I said if tiger wouldn't have seen having the Mola Nari he might if he was going. I he might be hitting the water to break you got. On eleven that the fact that he wasn't stymied and down there. So it was just.

"Right. And then after the puck goes in and he finally lets that emotion go, and it was just incredible. You know, a soccer match broke out a WWE event took place on the eighteenth green. They were literally screaming at the top of their lungs tiger tiger. Here's a little bit of that sound. And I. Like never before. It's just an amazing thing. And you need to understand where he was to get to where we are. Now since his last great year on tour twenty thirteen Tiger Woods has had not one not two not three but four back surgeries. I know your dad is had a back surgery. My brothers had a back injury. I've had plenty of backstop. My my sister had back surgery it when you hear you think you don't know if your sister Baxter's, listen, you get a lot of a lot of surgeries surgeries in the house. Sorry says so. You hear tiger talk about it. And a lot of the things that tiger was saying about I just wanna be able to walk normal. Again. I want to be able to sleep those were conversations I was having with my brother when he contemplated the end of his football career is I can't sleep at night because I'm getting these burning pains from my lower back down to my legs. Like it is debilitating. It's concerning. Does it shifts your focus just back to forget golf in the rest of that? Like, I just wanna be able to live normally go from there to now. Like, you cannot overstate how incredible that the last surgery fused his spine together. And it was really seen as a last gasp of him having a normal life. Yeah. I mean that was two years ago. He was telling people I'm done. I can't put up with the pain anymore. I just want to be able to pick up my kids. I wanna be able to walk them around and kick a soccer ball around with them a little bit. He was at that place where he understood I can't do this anymore. So to go from that to what we saw Sunday, you could write a movie if you went into this great idea for movie, okay? We're gonna take the greatest golfer. Arguably of all time at this. Peak has incredible crash because of hubris an injury and all this kind of stuff and then follows into the depths, and then he's gonna come all the way back and reclaim the top spot in his profession by reclaiming arguably the most prestigious Gulf in the world, and he's going to do it in a way that he's never done before coming back from behind on Sunday which had been the one one bugaboo the one knock you could make on his career. Oh, he's all great. But he's a front runner. He's a front or he can't come from behind. To have that unfold after an eleven year drought with the back surgeries. Hollywood get that week bleep out of here yet. That's what we saw on Sunday. It was absolutely incredible. And someone who saw right up there up close. We're delighted to be joined now on the shell Pennzoil performance line. Is Michael Collins are yes, PIN gatty coves to the Mattie and caddy podcast, Mike. We're trying to put in some sort of perspective. What it is. Because you look at what we saw from tiger from golfing perspective. It's this from a personal perspective. It's this you put it all together. You couldn't sell this to somebody and expect them to understand it. You know, what I thinking on the back nine especially after number twelve when molinar hit it in the water. I didn't see the water and tiger dated on the green. I kept thinking all here in my head was when George Foreman won the heavyweight title back. And I remember the announcers Shelley. And it happened, and that's all Erie. Because that's kind of what it reminded me of the guy was the dominant force that no one could ever touch who why gang and of slaying that dragon with everything else that happens personal, life and injuries and back surgeries. And. Okay. Well, he doesn't have the lead. So you know, there's that. And those those other two monsters that are out there. Justin Johnson and Brooks KEPCO like are are in position and everybody was making a move. And it was just like every I also never experienced what I experienced that. Maybe a center as well. Because. I mean as a member of your job is to kind of stay neutral and not necessarily Ruch had all, but I'm gonna tell you, man. Everytime. I shot. It was like oh. And it was almost like to you. Remember he was in position at the open championship last year. He had to leave. For just for many with tied Molinari. Right. So this little canes. What he's a boathouse can't tell whether you made eagle or double like, his expression never changed. And he was just even said on one of my post on Twitter and shorts. I was like this the cyborg like there's nothing you can do about this guy. He's like the Terminator he's been. You're right, Michael. He's been the best player in the world for the last year. And that's a whole different side of this thing that that he was the one that faltered, which is amazing. But at what point did you start to believe and convince yourself that it was actually going to happen that this was the time was when he took the lead on fifteen was what was it? When he always hold it on sixteen. Yeah. Yeah. Team when that shot started rolling back towards the whole it was well, here's the thing on the ninth hole. When he hit it law from the middle of the fairway at that top shelf. It'd be go down to tears when he hit there. And it was towards the whole I was like this could be another one of those moments like at the par-three. And then at the par-three started having any game hits the shot, and it starts trickling towards the whole. And it's like, well, wait a bit. This might be this might be going down to. And then when he made the putt on sixteen. It was like okay cool now it's all about bandaging and dodging bullets. And of course, when DJ hit his shot on eighteen there wasn't a person media center who would have told you. He wasn't gonna make fun. They're also wasn't a person. There wasn't a person when Brooks kept his shop was like well KEPCO like we noticed dude and being moment just gonna make cuts and don't you know, they make it and when both of them. Then it was like this. Is it gonna happen? Right. And that's when people were crying and was just it was a moment that I'll never forget. Talking to Michael Collins host the Matty in the caddy podcast here on the shell Pennzoil performance. I'm mike. What do you think this meant for a new generation of golf fans to see what we were all talking about? I think it. I think he does what tiger before. I think it puts golf now is spot that once again. They're going to go. Yeah. I love with golfing. I'll try that out. I watch it. Yeah. Why not? Let's let's let's do it. Let's try and see what happens. And I think the same thing happens again is that he's now going to two more places where he's one major championships before. So the fact that he's going to do that. People are gonna watch. And that's going to be a baby it will be an incredible some are going forward when you look at where the PGA is next month at at Bethpage where he won the US open in two thousand two. And of course, then the US Open at Pebble Beach in June where he's won multiple times including the most dominating performance. I've ever seen in a major championship again for people that don't remember in the two thousand US open. Tiger Woods finished first at twelve under second place was three over par. It just ridiculous. And then Royal port Russia's a course no one's played before. And usually that tends to favor the best players when you're track for the first time, Mike, we know you gotta catch flight. We appreciate your dropping by with little knowledge, man. Safe travels. Okay. They're usually is already left. So thanks about. Tiger woods. What the masters what everybody's talking about..

"One of the best rounds of the day going so far Jordan speed three hundred today through four that's a pretty hot start seven under for the tournament. But seven hundred right now is six shots back Francesco molinar. You can do his part to weed out some of the contenders Charlie with anything good at one and the certainly a birdie at two and if he birdies two and three than the chase back. Just got a lot thinner. Yep. Gets a little bit smaller. Brian going back to watching tiger. And Molinari three would off of that. I t and some folks will ask the question, why do you do that? But if you look at the setup of the whole the bunkers on the right hand side, if you don't feel like you can carry that driver that bunker with a driver, and you go little bit left. And if you pull the driver just a little bit you call through the dog leg, and you get up into these trees a little bit. So that's why players would select that three would they're going left to the bunker. They take trying to carry it out a play with a three would. But if they pull it a little bit the boss still stays in the fairway, and it doesn't run through. But you pay a price for that decision. The the longer hitters do go with the driver can get up there and then get one hundred and thirty five forty yards. So this if you go with the three that you're gonna be back a little bit farther, and that's exactly what happened to Tony fee. Now is you said he ran out of room today with the whole little down wind three would be more sensible play because Molinari did it. He just hit a three hundred twelve yard three. Would you don't think there was a little adrenaline that? He's only got one forty left..

"Into the Frank Beckmann show man, who it's simply been too long since we had him on its state congressman from out on the west side of the state and Grand Rapids. Bill Heisenberg who is kind enough to join us again this morning, and he comes off an evening of a of a meeting that involved President Trump last night. So maybe he's got some new insights. Whereas good morning to you congressman. Good morning. Frank could be with you. Yeah. It was the president and about twenty five hundred of his closest friends the. The it was the annual campaign spring dinner fundraiser for the for the House Republicans, so. And he he was in rare form, and actually, you know, I I've said this before I've said he's been in rare form, but when he does it all the time, I'm not sure it's rare anymore. He was in his he was in his usual form of off script and having some fun up there and making some news. And so it was it was a good evening. What was the biggest newsy made for you? Well, you know, I think the the idea of kind of the healthcare he pushed that again, certainly, you know, you you might have seen playing on some of the news cable news this morning. He was testing out his maga- versus keg. Keep america. Great. And he was he was literally I had the feeling like he was literally doing focus grouping. He was asking for applause. Should we keep this? You know, make America great again. Or should we switch over to keep America? Great. And so he was having some good for him. In the meantime, you talk about healthcare the the repeal and replace of ObamaCare has been discussed for so long. Mitch McConnell is the latest to tell the president ate ain't gonna happen. Is it pretty much? The fact that Republicans have given up on on repealing trying to repeal ObamaCare, especially with Democrats in control of the house now. Well, certainly in the house, we we aren't able to dictate what is getting to the floor. I highly doubt that that Nancy Pelosi, and and and others are going to allow Bill like that to come to the house floor. And this was something that the president talked about last night is he said, look, you know, we're we're going to tell people what we're going to do. And and and and try to get more of a plan out there publicly. So that when they're going to the polls next year, nineteen months, I guess, it is we we know people won't know what direction we're heading. And it's in the house. Certainly I'm very comfortable with the notion of repealing and replacing it going back to what we had pre ObamaCare is not success. But neither is neither is keeping the status quo as it is. And so we've we've gotta do better. There's been a number of plans in the house. We've got a group of doctors that have put together a working group at over the years, and and have some very good solid suggestions. And we hope that we're going to be able to to have an audience on that. However, as I said Nancy Pelosi is not going to be real open to the action. So I think the the idea of having something passed through the house and the Senate that's gonna hit the president's desk to radically change Obamacare's we see it right now. I I don't see that happening unless there is a really a educational overturning up the whole thing. And then at that point. Yeah. Everybody's hand. AB? Forced meantime, we got some good news from the president on on Great Lakes water funding, and the the efforts to protect the Great Lakes from invasive species and blooming algae, and all of that. And the president is kind of reverse course on that. And I I understand you had a role in in convincing him that we need that funding. He was going to cut it. And now he he's going to reverse the funding cut tell me about your role in that. And and the ride to the airport or from the airport to van Andel arena that you had with congress Bill heisinger, John molinar, Jack Bergman and and yourself with the president. Yeah. Yep. That was that was where the discussion happened, and the you can't really call it a car that that thing is that the beast. They see the reason why they call it the beast. It's pretty amazing machine. But we had a good twenty minutes, plus concentrated time talking to the president. About sort of Michigan priorities. He was asking. How things are going in the state, and you know, we talked I talked a little bit about manufacturing and the steel tariffs and aluminum tariffs needing to be cleared up. And then we very quickly switched to to the Great Lakes and the Great Lakes restoration initiative, the Soo locks invasive species, those kinds of things water quality, and as he was he asked two questions about invasive species about the clean up. And and we have laid out for him how previously there have been proposed cuts. We had reestablished them and one of the things that I I tried to make make a little bit of an analogy is if you look at what was happening like oh Koby and the Everglades. They had massive pollution issues and things that were going on that put in a concentrated federal effort. And and they were able to go in and clean that up. And I said Mr President, that's what we are trying to do here with the Great Lakes restoration initiative. You could see he, you know, he got it. And like I said he s few good question about invasive species, and those kinds of things, and then he made what we thought was a commitment sounded like the commitment in the in the car, and, but you never know until till he says something public and Jack Berkman set to you know, Mr President, you really could make news today here in Michigan. If you if you said that you're gonna restore that. So he he wrote it wrote it down it into a speech. And but so we were all very pleased. When he when he said that publicly, and I think he got a great response from it. Boy, he sure did congressman Bill really appreciate the time and congratulations on betting the president's here on Great Lakes water funding to to you and Jack Berg winning company for John molinar for which you were able to do. And and you got. A ride in the beast next. You get a ride in my beast will will arrange that down the road won't be quite the same. I don't think but any rate good to have you with us on the Frank Beckmann show. We've got to take a break right here. Your calls coming up in the final hour, eight hundred eight five nine zero nine it started. When he lost his job. Then he couldn't find another job and the bills kept piling up. And he said he was a failure. And you began to worry as his mood started swinging, and he got quiet and sunk into a place, you tried to reach you told him you'd get through it together. But he said it didn't matter. He casually mentioned ending it all one morning, and he didn't say anything when you asked what it meant. But you knew and he had a gun, and you didn't know how to help him. But there is one thing you can do for the gun for now. Eighty five percent of suicide attempts with a gun are fatal. But without a gun less than five percent of suicide attempts are deadly. You can't always stop someone from hurting themselves. But a red flag order can temporarily prevent loved ones from accessing the most lethal form of suicide until.
