Commanders' record sale agreed to by Snyder family, Harris group that includes Magic Johnson
"A group led by Josh Harris has agreed to buy the NFL's Washington commanders from longtime owner Dan Snyder and his family. The sides announced the deal in a joint statement Friday, roughly a month after they reached an agreement in principle on the sale for a record $6.05 billion. The deal is the highest price paid for a North American professional sports franchise. It is still pending approval of three quarters of owners and other customary closing conditions. Harris's group includes Washington area billionaire Mitchell rails and basketball Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, Snyder has owned the team since 1999. I'm geffen cool bar.

Mark Mitchell: 62% Believe Cheating Altered Outcome of 2020 Election
"Asked how likely is that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 election? What did you learn? That's also a record setter for us. Again, a perennial favorite we've been literally, I think the only pollster routinely asking questions about election fraud. And the trend seems to be that as time accrues between us in the 2020 election. And as mainstream corporate news media ignores potential evidence of election fraud, people's concerns have not gone away. In fact, they've actually increased. So in this question, I'm now 62% of all likely voters think that it's at least somewhat likely that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Wow. The implication there is that maybe the outcome would have been different if said cheating hadn't happened. So very important question. That's 62% number is the highest we've ever seen. The previous record was 58%. So the media conduct all of these, if they conduct these concerns, as long as they want, people are not going to stop thinking that there's fraud in elections. And even in the 2022 election, we got a very similar signal recently about that same 62% of people think that she didn't affected 2022 as well. And of course, how could they not with some of the things that we saw coming out of Maricopa County and whatnot?

Trump and DeSantis Dominate in Latest 2024 Election Poll
"Who's the chief pollster for Rasmussen, joins us now, Mark welcome to the program. Hi, good to be here again. It is definitely a lot of numbers. Yeah. That is so I have all these charts and graphs in front of me and why don't you just start with the most significant and we'll work our way through it. We did this poll and it was a sponsored poll so everybody can go to our website and download the stuff and look at for themselves. There's like 20, 25 questions here. Really dense, but the poll was done for one very specific reason. Our sponsor for this poll, Larry word from political media. Was really sick of the infighting that he sees on the conservative side, and he thinks that desantis is perceived to be very favorable among Republicans just as Donald Trump is. And that potentially together the both of them on the same ticket might be better in whole than in part. And so that was what we set out to prove. And I think we proved it pretty resoundingly. So we started by setting a benchmark of how would Trump do alone in a 2024 rematch against president Joe Biden. And Donald Trump beats him 48% to 41% in this poll, which is in line with what we saw about a month ago when we ran that same question. Then the next thing we did was we said if Florida governor Ron DeSantis was Donald Trump's running mate against Joe Biden, would you vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris or to Santa's Trump? And now, Trump does better. So we have Trump and desantis beating Biden and Harris, 51% to 43%, which is a slightly larger lead 8% instead of 7%, but it gets the Trump ticket over the 50% hurdle, which is very important.

Breitbart's Matt Boyle Gives Speaker McCarthy an A+
"I want to get some other stories here. That we have a story here for breitbart dot com. I want to read the headline. Speaker McCarthy and video special how the world has changed in new Republican majority in-house. I'll never give up. Matt, you've had the opportunity to interview him a couple times. How would you grade speaker McCarthy as how he's doing right now as head of the House of Representatives? I mean, I would say he's a pretty much an a plus, right? I mean, I think that he's doing everything that he said he was going to do over the course of the beginning of the year. And if anything, that really rainbow chase first week is speaker or the week leading up to him being the speaker the first week of the Republican majority where they had 15 separate speakership elections. We talked about this in the interview. So we did it in our on camera interview. We talked about a whole number of different topics, immigration, China, the border. The debt ceiling was a big part of it. The one of the things we open with was the new Republican majorities like. And that was very much focused on what that first week was like. And he talked about how it was. You know, pretty tough week, you know, 15 rounds like rocky Balboa, but he made it through it. And he said that while it was tough going through and he wouldn't wish that on anyone, it's still he thinks that that made it made the House Republicans come a little bit closer together. And I think you're seeing that happen right now where they just pulled off the remarkable passage of the debt ceiling deal that is forced President Biden to the table to negotiate. And now the Senate Republicans are united behind the house Republicans heading into these negotiations next week at The White House. So. There are a lot of things to like about what McCarthy has done as speaker so far. And I

You're the Washington bureau chief for the wonderful website breitbart dot com. So Matt, let's talk your top line thoughts, your analysis on the Tucker story. What do you think we're missing that is the most important part of the story? Well, look, it appears as though the Murdoch family is trying to silence Tucker Carlson, the Fox News board, which includes Lachlan James and Rupert Murdoch as well as Paul Ryan, the former Speaker of the House, various establishment Republican. They want to silence Tucker through the 2024 election. Tucker Carlson has a is currently under he's not been fired from Fox News. Everybody's saying these fire, they're just wrong. He's been his show has been canceled, but he's still under contract. He's not allowed to go out there and negotiate something new or go to somebody new until such time as the Murdoch's and Paul Ryan, the Fox board, allow him out of his contract. His contract runs through December 2024 right now. So they are trying to silence him and what's really going on here is that, you know, we see these weaponized leaks by Fox staff arena burgundy, who is the head of corporate communications for Fox News, has been weaponizing text messages, videos, all sorts of different stuff to different places to try to tarnish Tucker's reputation. That's backfiring on them. I think people are turning away from Fox. They're turning two places like breitbart and other conservative validation places like your show. Other conservative media outlets that are seeing a huge spike in attention because people are turning off Fox News, which is an honorable thing. But ultimately, what's happening here is that the Murdochs are trying to retake control of their network. And

"Is right near where I grew up. And he also loves music and had a great record collection and it lived kind of in the library with the books and he loves lyrics. He would sing along to stuff and he would know every word. And this is kind of a special thing for me to witness as a kid. So certainly I grew up in a house with a love of words and I wanted to be a writer of some kind and then it turned out like my way was to write songs. What was his record collection? Folk revival stuff, so it was Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell and then some kind of psychedelic rack like the Grateful Dead records and where do they come? Velvet Underground. Yeah, you don't want to forget that. Yeah, no, no. In New York. Especially in New York. They're not going to let you back anymore. That's right. Sorry, you're going to have to leave. Yeah. I mean, if you think about it, it's all very lyrically interesting stuff that he was into. My parents were hippies. They grew up in the suburbs and they bought this farm as part of the kind of back to the land movement and that that's where they went to a silvermont and I was raised with my older brother there on this farm and no television, my mom was anti television. So there was a lot of just wild running running half naked in the Woods and making up games and stuff like that. They were pro sheep, and to tell them. Yeah, you got it. When did the guitar start? Yeah, my first instrument was a violin that I studied from age 7. I loved it and also I hated it and I didn't want to practice it and things like that. When I finally let go of that, I picked up the guitar and I took a few lessons very casually from a guy who would essentially just teach me to play the songs I wanted to learn, which was a great motivator for actually learning how to play the guitar. And I guess I was maybe 15 or 16. What were those songs? I need a Franco was a big one. Yeah, Mary shaping Carpenter. I mean, I was into a lot of female songwriters that were kind of blossoming in that era. Dar Williams was one, Tori Amos, although that's sort of piano based, so I didn't really learn those, but yeah. You have a very particular guitar playing style. You Travis pick, but it's not the kind of usual Travis pick. Where did you get that? I don't use a pick. I really only play with my fingers and yeah, it's bizarre. The guy that I learned from Justin Purdue is his name was like a jazzer. And he played with his fingers and he was double jointed in his hands. And he could play these beautiful finger style stuff. And I later, yeah, I learned kind of certain finger picking patterns when I was kind of my early 20s, like just getting going. And then I feel like you just kind of, you learn a few and then you just are off to the races with them. And that's kind of been where I came from. We were saying, before the interview that I recently started playing an open tuning, which I never did before. And that's it's so amazing because you honestly could play with just one hand. You smoke a cigarette with the other hand. Which is sometimes do. You take your person I know, it takes her hand off the fretboard sometimes. Yeah, yeah, it's liberating. Yeah. You see that with pianist, they'll lift one hand off. I've never seen somebody just let the guitar go for. Going to open tuning, did that change the way you wrote? So I started to play open tuning in the context of this folk rock band I made called Bonnie light horseman, which was really like when I was in the most intense part of rewriting Haiti sound because I worked on that show for on and off for 13 years. And then as we were sort of, it became clear that we were heading for Broadway. It became, you know, it was my soul focus. And no regrets, coyote, like I loved working on it, but I also was like completely overwhelmed by the stress of it. And I found that Bonnie laid horseman was kind of like the one other creative thing I could do at the same time as working on this show. And it ended up being the kind of antidote or like medicine for me that I needed. Which was early on, our first record is all kind of reworkings of traditional text. And so there is something really nice about being able to draw from that well and rest in that music rather than the act of writing Hades town is very text focused and having to come up with a lot of stuff. And so there was that and then also just from the get go we played open D tuning and it's just so wide open. It feels so epic and expansive and spacious. Like you just want to let the chord ring out, put your hand in the air. So that became the kind of the antidote to hadestown for me and then I remember like at times I'd finished playing with Bonnie light and I'd have to tune back up to standard tuning and I'd feel like I was putting on a corset to go back to standard. Standard is also great at this point. I'm ready to go back, but it's yeah, it's been a revelation to play open. You know, use a lot of color tones in your melodies. Use a lot of ninths, you're not just sticking to chord tones. And I was kind of wondering whether the open tuning sort of facilitated that. Yeah, I think you're right. I mean, it's that kind of, I associate it with British Isles, folk music. And the kind of ornamentation that you hear with Irish singers, the way that their grace notes and the way they bend things and I just find it really infinitely fascinating how you can just have one drone cord almost and then just infinite number of notes you could sing over it and they'd be compelling in different ways. It's sort of like very simple and also sophisticated. I feel that about Irish music. We'll be right back with more from Bruce huddle and anais Mitchell after a quick break. "Than they ever expected to go. Rudy Rudolph Gobert became a regular all NBA all star level player, which I think given his draft position was a surprise when it was a great story. Quinn Snyder, I voted him coach of the year. I don't know if he ever won. I can't remember off the top of my head. Great story, great offense, beautiful offense, Joe ingles, all that ran its course, and it's over now. And they have so many picks that they're in the thunder bucket of like, I can't get. The thunder and the jazz now should have to make a trade where they just exchange like 11 first round picks and no players or I guess a player has to be involved, but like just random players just for the sake. Well, I think Utah is in the pole position with draft just because of the unprotected nature, where certainly there's clipper ones that are still unprotected from the Paul George trade, but there are some other ones that are, you know, there's Philly in there that's got some protection. So which are still good, but I mean, what Utah has been able to do. And I know if you're a jazz fan, it's like it's a slap in the face of reality where like two years ago, you had the best record in the NBA and you had a you lose to the clippers in that second round series without Kauai. And then we saw what happened last year in Dallas and how life can change quickly in this league, right? Yeah, you had just signed Mitchell and Gobert of those extensions in a 2020 off season. You had them for four or 5 years and all that. And it just changes so quickly. The clipper series was the one. And I remember, I mean, I've talked about it as nausea, AD nauseam. You could feel it then. And that's why last season was so interesting going into it for Utah because you just thought, did it break them? Is that it? It was such a devastating loss yet. The Conley and Mitchell were banged up in all of this and it's just a series that at the very least you gotta get it to game 7 in your place, having had the season that you had as the number one seed. They couldn't even do that. And it just felt like such a devastating blow. Was it game four against Dallas where Mitchell Gobert alip ends up winning the game for them? And Gobert says, you know, what it's something to we hear all the noise, what's the noise and outlook? That was a fun moment. Now you're on the Timberwolves and Donovan Mitchell's on the Cavaliers and one shoe has dropped Donovan Mitchell. The other shoe Kevin Durant just hung in midair for a while and didn't drop and we are less than a month from training camp mister marks any parting thoughts on any of this? Well, no. Did we miss anything on the Lakers or any of this? No, I mean, they renewed their vows. All is good in the world, right? I'm just exciting for Cleveland. And I think we talked about teams that are sort of going to age together. There's a chance that we just have like a Scotty Barnes Evan mobley thing for a really, really long time. And by the way, Detroit, I said this before I went on vacation. I like what, in fact, I met a pistons fan somewhere on vacation and I said, you got to get back into the pistons. They're going to be exciting. With Kate Cunningham is the third member of that sort of trifecta. Yeah, I think they gave you a little bit of a blueprint after the all star break, right? I mean, I think that I think there'll be they compete, right? That's all you get ivy and Jalen Durham and I think I'm interested in this Sadiq bay this year. Without Jeremy grant not there. So they'll be intrigued. Well, Bobby, September 1st, we'll always remember September 1st, 2022, the Knicks did not get down to the image of the Cavaliers did. Thank you, as always, for your insight. And except for the designated rookie player thing. I'm not thanking you for that, even though it was important. It's always good to see you. I'm sure I will be talking to you soon. Who knows what could happen

"By the same token, I talked about Donovan Mitchell with Tim McMahon and I said, what is he like? I don't think he's made it all NBA team, right? No, he hasn't. He's made, you know, let's just double check here. I don't care. I'll go. I know he has. I mean, I think for me, Mitchell, I think he's a borderline top 20 player. That's fair. He's something like the 18th to 24th, the best player in the NBA. And I said, I remember saying, that's a really good player. That's a great player. And I think he's still getting better. Two seasons ago, I thought he belonged in the most improved player conversation because I thought his playmaking had made a little bit of a leap. That kind of stagnated last year. Obviously his defense, particularly in the Mavericks series, you just have to hope that was a wake up call for him because that was frankly embarrassing for a player of his caliber with a 6 9 wingspan to get lit up like a Christmas tree over and over like that. And I remember saying, diamond Mitch was a great player, blah, blah, blah, he also is like the 9th or tenth best version of number one option on ball creator. And if you have the 9th best Luka Dončić or the 9th best LeBron James, like, what are you really, where are you really going as a team? Well, now you mitigate that issue by combining Garland and Mitchell into like a super one man on ball creator. They can split duties. Mitchell historically has taken like not quite twice as many, but many more pull up threes than catch and shoot threes. That should change. That should even out. He shot 43% on catch and shoot threes two seasons ago. He's capable of playing off the ball. They can stagger minutes. I think this fit is really good. I'm really excited for this team. I don't mind the, I mean, the pick outlay, it's gonna sound hypocritical because I thought that the hawks gave up too much for dejante Murray and so why am I praising the calves for giving up three unprotected pics and two unprotected swaps for Donovan Mitchell and I think it's because a Mitchell's better and I love Dijon Murray but I think Mitchell's better and B I just think that the Cavs have three legit building blocks, three guys you look at as I know they're gonna be if all things go well health wise, really good players on my team for the next 5 years improving throughout the duration of those 5 years because of their age and I look at the hawks and I'm like damn in terms of guys who fit that description, they have Trae Young. And a Congo who I really like, but is a little bit unproven. I think he's gonna be a really good player. He's proven a lot to me, but we'll see how he fares in bigger minutes. John Collins is like perpetually on the trade block. This feels like a more stable situation and to get to the Knicks. I think that's exactly why the mix in the end didn't pay the piper to the degree that the Cavs did because they just don't have as ready made of a roster to win with Donovan Mitchell making their risk on those draft picks higher than it is for Cleveland. Well, circling back to Atlanta a little bit here and when you talk about the picks and everything, I think while I like this deal a little bit better for Cleveland for Atlanta with Atlanta with Deontay Murray, you've basically boxed yourself in a corner because of his contract is so good. It's so team friendly that you're basically you're not going to be able to extend him because of the value and you're basically going to have to pay him, right? If he plays it out and he plays at a good level, like you were paying him premium money in two years from now when he's an unrestricted free agent. Like that's the reality. For Mitchell, you have at least for three years, right? So you have for three deal. Three years. We see these guys get traded and they're like immediately flight risks. That's not the case here. He turns 26 at the next week. September 7th, right? So, I mean, that's, I mean, because you already owed Indiana at first in 23, like I'm sure it would have been 23, 25 and 27, maybe, right? But because of how the picks are going out here, like there was always going to be a risk that that player you acquired was not maybe not be on your roster when they come to fruition here, right? So now it's your job as an organization to make it appealing for Donovan Mitchell for when he becomes a free agent. Like it's not like he's going to a team where he has to do all the heavy lifting, right? Like you have Garland. You have mobile. You have Alan. You've got levert still. We'll see what happens with him. You still have a quarrel. Don't forget dean wade for all your accounting needs. For all your accounting needs. And remember, you're getting you'll get Rubio back eventually, right? From that, you get Neto. You got low Kevin Love still there. So you still have like, you know, there's not like it was a total gut job just because, you know, as I said, like Sexton was restricted free agent. He wasn't under contract. Who knows how he was going to kind of play into things? Well, it does open up a hole at the three. I mean, we know four of their starters, the three, which was marketing last year, nominally becomes a little bit of a mystery. I think levert, not enough shooting, not enough defense, not enough size to play that position ideally. A lot of pressure on a Coro who has played a lot of three. I think is better as a two size wise and I remember talking to Chris fedor right before I left on vacation, had the most wide open threes in the NBA last year. The most consistently in terms of distance from distance to defender is from him wide open threes and just doesn't make enough of him. So we'll see. It does make enough of a specifically to play with two bigs, like mobility now. So that's a little bit of a worry spot, but I think Osman may end up being the least of all evils there as a starter, but we'll see. I think this is a really good team. And I don't know where they fit in the east this year. I think Milwaukee Boston Philly in terms of regular season wins because with Philly, I have some questions about what happens after that. I think that's a clear top three. And Brooklyn, I just, I'm so tasted changed their name to the Brooklyn on papers because just every single time you're asked a question about them or they're talked about on a podcast or whatever is on paper, they're a great team on paper. Like on paper, a lot of things could be true. I could draw myself on paper looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger and be like, on paper, this is what I look like. I am so tired. The next are out of that tier until they show me they can be, I know this is a novel concept, Bobby. A basketball team of basketball players who play basketball on a basketball court on paper, they fit really well. On paper, they're championship contenders. Yo, cool. Kyrie didn't play last year. That should not be the case Fisher. I expect him to play 60 plus games of his healthy. Kevin Durant just asked to coach the owner of fire, the coach in the GM. And then was like, I agree to stay. By the way, I have a four year contract. Ben Simmons had back surgery hasn't played in a thousand years in the last time we saw him play was passing up dunks. They're out. They're out of the first tier until proven otherwise. After that, I think Cleveland's right there. I think Miami is at some risk of a fall back this year, but they always proved me wrong, so who the hell knows? Toronto is right there. I think Cleveland is given itself a puncher's chance to, if things go really right for them and really wrong for somebody, they could have a shot at the four seat. I don't think that's crazy. No, that's not at all. I mean, going back to your on paper thing, I've used on paper for Brooklyn so much this year that I was talking about the Patrick Beverly tray with someone like a week ago, and I said, yeah, on paper. And I'm thinking to myself, like, you didn't need to say that, but it's so programmed in your brain. Thunder mifflin should be the sponsor of the nets this year. Because on paper, they're amazing. Yeah, so they are probably, they're the wild card and but yeah, as you mentioned, the three teams Boston Philly Milwaukee.

"But I mean, she's playing it, she'd be playing like it all season. And I'm just really proud of her and her growth. And I feel like, you know, this is just the beginning for her, honestly. And I'm just, you know, happy to witness it. You said, I know you're busy. You haven't been able to make it to Columbia in a while. I understand what that is like, 'cause we're always on the road or somewhere else when whatever season is happening. But you're far enough away, but Don can't make you run any sprints or anything. If you say something, what's the craziest thing that Don ever did in practice, like a speech, or a drill, or because I know she's one of the funniest people that I've ever spoken to when it comes to college coaches. I know their stories. Yeah, I mean a lot more goofy than people probably think. Probably see this the series straight face. Dawn's daily, but I mean, she probably jokes around more than we do. So the stories are honestly are endless with her. I just can't think of one that stands out because I just feel like they all come together and we just always are laughing about something. Someone told me and I'm not gonna give up my source. Somebody told me that when things maybe aren't going so well in the first half, that coach doesn't really say anything at halftime. She'll just walk in and she'll be like, yep, you know what you're doing and she'll leave. I mean, that's kind of what it is. Honestly, we can just look at her. There's plenty of times that I've heard her yo, my name on the court and I acted like I did not hear her. Is that better or worse? In the long run. Honestly, at the time it was better. Because I could just like, look, then I was just probably give her a look and see what I'm saying, but that's all I need to be said to me. Nothing basically. As long as I saw she was looking, I was like, all right, let me get it together. Postgame. She's like, I know you heard me. I know you're just trying to lock in. Yeah, sure, sure, sure. I feel like one of the fun conversations speaking of dawn staley and personality wise. One of the fun conversations that we've had about not only coach staley, but about this program is that you might be the most fashion forward team that has ever existed. I mean, we talk about henny. I don't know we're going to miss henny's fits, but I'm sure she's still bringing him home. No, she's bringing the heels of course to Indy. And then dawn who I think told us she isn't really wear anything twice. She just be nice. That's what I said. She was like, oh yeah, just jeans. And I think they were Gucci or something like that. These little things. What does coaches style evolution looked like, if you will? Honestly, she's one of the freshest coaches in basketball, maybe in professional sports. I mean, she puts it on. And definitely, when I was in college, I always be looking forward to what she was wearing. I probably was a little more concerned about how she looked. Other than the game plan, but I think we all just take it after costing that since and when she always carries herself really well. I mean, she makes a lot more money than all of us, so it's just like, she can afford certain things, but at the same time, I think that she just honestly just always looks nice and wants to be presentable and we follow her honestly. She likes you a little bit better than me. I feel like this is I'm not saying she dislikes me. I hope she doesn't. If you do coach, just let me know. We'll figure this out. Do you think you can ask her what she does with her extra clothes? No, honestly, I don't know. Coach, are you an 8? 'cause we might have to rate the closet. I'm gonna meet you at her house. If she doesn't wear anything twice. Where does it go? Where did the leftovers go? I'm happy to donate them for you, coach. Truly happy. I'll squeeze into something. I covered you early in my TV career early in your collegiate career. And I remember just being in a city that previously wasn't really a women's college basketball town. And you were part of a team that turned it into a rabid women's college basketball town. Little girls, little boys showing up with signs, showing up with sharpies. I remember you guys signing everything until your hands fell off. What is it like for you to see how much that program has grown and what advice would you give to the young ones who maybe didn't necessarily go through those growing pains that you guys did when you started? Yeah, I mean, I remember when she recruited me and I would come to games and there were not a lot of people in the stands at all. You can count, maybe the people that were there. Now you can't see an empty seat in the arena. So just to see that and when is it to be a part of it? It's something that I don't take for granted. And I'm really thankful for her to give me the opportunity to play for her for four years. And the advice I would give is just kind of just stay true to who you are. That's what she did. And it worked. You know, she found out we had those growing pains. But it never changed her and how she recruited and what she believed instead for. So I think that's what's most memorable and with advice that I would give to anybody. I can vouch for what you just said because I remember sitting on the baseline with my little camera on my shoulder and you could hear everything coach staley was saying because there weren't a ton of people in the crowd. And now it's sold out. I know. Basically, every single home game, if not every single home date. Home game. You've been a huge part of that. Thank you as just a women's sports fan for everything that you did, not only for my Alma mater, but for the game of women's college basketball, watching you is incredible watching you at the NBA level has been incredible and best of luck with the rest of your career. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Tiffany Mitchell, gamecock, great about to go overseas, but hanging out here in Charlotte, maybe we can get a meal together before you leave.

"Seasons. It's not talking about Celtics, but just in the NBA, that's like a team looks as freaking bad as they did for two months. And then just completely turns it around. Without getting their superstar player back that was missing. You know what I mean? Like, they could spend the same players more or less, you know, obviously you brought Derek white and you lost a couple of role players, but the core of these guys are the same. And for them to just do this 180° turnaround. It's just crazy. I mean, again, nobody can honestly say that they saw this coming. No, no, not even the players. But other than us, I can't imagine anybody else. And even when you hear the players talk about how we always believe we always believe that you may have thought you would be better. I do believe they always felt they'd be better, but I can't imagine that at some point. We're going to have, we're going to have the best defense in the NBA, and we're going to be top 5 offense. And we're going to win like 70, 80% of our games rested away. No, I don't think that they had that type of foresight. But they're better in their consistent. And that's the one thing that really stands out to me. Is there consistency? They're not just beating the crap out of teams every now and then it's squeaking out other ones. They're crushing teams home and on the road. And again, they're crushing teams who have certain players who are dominant. And those players are not being down. And we saw what they did with jokic. He's so much better to play than what we saw against the south as but they made him very small. We saw in Philadelphia. We saw it tonight with Donovan Mitchell who had a great game. I mean, 37 points shot 13 for 24 from the field, 6 rebounds. Usually that's going to get a Utah win. But instead, they got their asses with by damn near 30 points..

"Foreplay, presented by barstool sports, we have two guests on this show two great interviews with golfers, PGA Tour winners. We have Keith Mitchell first, and then we have Daniel Berger who's the defending champion at pebble beach this week. So boom, we're just cranking interviews lately to be honest with you. I think coming up very soon next week, we're gonna have a expert, a doctor in the art of basically the yips and neurological issues that translate to sports, which I don't know why we would have that on. I don't know if that's relevant. To anyone or anything here, but point as we get too big interviews here, colt was awesome on Tuesday's show. If you haven't seen that, go check it out. And then we got Keith Mitchell and Daniel Berger on this show, interview interview interview. Reminder to go subscribe to our YouTube channel. We're putting all of our hard work, our sweat, our tears, we got ebook, Jake bass, working really hard. Everybody's working really hard, putting these videos together, putting them out, putting them on YouTube, so if you subscribe, please subscribe to our YouTube channel for play golf, and then you're gonna get hit all the time with really cool videos that you're going to enjoy. Yeah, and something happened with the last one where it didn't get into the algorithm. It was like a copyright claim because of some sort of language that I use or something. I don't know. I think I said something about squirting and it stopped basically the final episode. The algorithm stream got stopped for a second. There was like a claim on the video and now it's been cleared. So now it's back into wherever it goes on YouTube. YouTube algorithm is a fucking crazy place. I don't know how it works. I don't know how it operates, but if you fuck it up for one second, you lose your stream. We're at like a 100,000 views. That video at band and dunes should have 400,000 views. That's how good of a match it is. That's how good of a golf course it is. Go watch it. If you haven't seen it pop up on your next suggested videos that's because something happened to the video. It happens every now and again. And then again, I'm going to plug the Disney episode is a fantastic fantastic episode. Wholesome. It's just wholesome. It's funny. It's great. It's us off the golf, of course, it's stuff that we want to start doing more. When we do the travel series, we want to start doing more stuff off the golf course and incorporate all the things you can do in the towns and the cities and we're starting to do that a lot. Disney was like everything encapsulated with that. So yeah, the YouTube page is in a good place and then keep an eye open Trent and I have not forgotten about it. We've been traveling a lot. We are going to do the hole in one challenge on PGA Tour two K. We're going to need all the money that goes into the super chat on YouTube..

Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver

"Fictionalized defines love for you? I'm kind of a romantic. Like I always have kind of been a romantic and loved the idea of love at first sight and a kind of twin souls, you know, and yeah, that idea that you meet someone, I'm thinking of Orpheus and you're going to see right now because that's what it was. Yeah, I remember like a bunch of times in the sort of dramaturgical trenches of working on the show. People with the dramaturg or someone else would be like, but why does he love her? You know? Why does Orpheus love you to see? And I would be like, because he's obvious. And she's really. Like, it's not enough for, you know, a lot of people they need to see the kind of causality, but the idea of what is written in the stars. And another kind of fictional version of that that went deep for me is that Hemingway book for whom the bell tolls. Oh yeah. You know, just these young revolutionaries fighting fascism and then they're in love and it's like the earth moves and all that stuff. And I feel like I've had an experience of that with my life partner. I've been with the same guy since I was 19. We were like, not fully formed in our identities. You know, we were like wet clay when we met and it wasn't full on from the age of 19 there was kind of a courtship and there was some breakups and stuff. But there were a bunch of moments that felt like these StarCraft moments like, oh my God, this is my person. You know? And almost like a scary, terrifying feeling because you see your mortality connected to it. It contains everything. This idea of the love at first sight, it's like youthful, infatuation and beauty, and then also, you know, you're gonna die with this person. You see the whole thing and it contains all of it. And so there's a way in which it's almost like it's tragic even if it's not or if you are to see or Romeo and Juliet. It's like even if you're married for 75 years and then you die in each other's arms, it's still like a tragedy at some level, right? Wow, the span. I think that's pretty amazing. You hold the paradigm that is pretty massive. The idea at 19 to be able to be with someone, that kind of love. And the love now, are you in your late late 30s, like around? I just turned 40. Look at that like that. 20 Hispanic, that's incredible. To be able to see the end and to not let it derail the now. To see it as tragic to see it as beautiful to see it as never ending. I mean, no wonder you love the Greeks, really. I woke up this morning thinking about Orpheus and eurydice because the last thing this person that he was my best friend and I loved him very, very, very much we were together for a long time and then it ended horribly. The most helpful thing he ever said to me was don't look back. And I've always linked it to Orpheus and eurydice. I've always linked it to that moment of just don't look back. Just don't. I know what happens if you do. You know what happens if you do just don't do it. I think about those gifts that you get from people that have hurt you. And I wondered if he got it from Orpheus. Yeah, he loved the Greeks, too, so. And I don't look back for you. Was it to not doubt yourself? Was it the idea of don't look down almost? It was literally coming back to that eckhart early idea of. It is a complete illusion to look back to look back and feel that that is going to have really any relevance. And I know that sort of a bold statement. But the now this moment to trust this now to trust that all of the ideas that you think if I look back I will get this. If I look back and I pick over the bones of this thing, if I look back because I'm frightened, it will somehow make my now better and that that is a fallacy. It's such an extraordinary gift that he gave me because I think it often, particularly when I start being frightened about historical stuff that I'm worried is going to play out again in this now. I shriek it at myself sometimes. This morning, I was shrieking it. Orpheus like, just don't just don't look. I just keep walking. Just keep walking and it's going to be fine. Like trust. You can't hear anything you can't see anything you don't know anything. Trust this very moment. And you will be all right. Oh man. Yeah. A cosmic thing that kind of happened with our Orpheus and you were to see. I think I'm allowed to it's quite public at this point, but our actors that play Orpheus in here to see totally fell in love, you know? Did they really? That's amazing. Yeah, and I thought, uh oh, you know, when I saw that that was happening, I was like, I hope they can keep it together. It's not going to be easy, you know. 6 months down the line, if there's a breakup and they're trying to play these lovers and they're still together, they made it through the pandemic. They're like, got a dog. It's beautiful. And they're so beautiful together. It's crazy because it's a story that the people know how it ends, but they still aghast, like when he turns around, it's like, how did this happen? That's exactly it. We want to change the ending of the story. Maybe seeing the repetition of that over and over again, it's like you can't change that story, but you can take the piece that you're shrieking about, and you can bring it into your life and go. I know how that works out. Yeah, yeah. And there's also something about like you're saying that this ex of yours gave you this piece of wisdom that you have carried on in your life and that there's a way in which he lights someone's candle with your candle and then or there's cigarette with your cigarette and you keep a flame going and that's kind of I think in the Orpheus story, at least the way it plays out with hadestown is like, well okay, we still celebrate Orpheus because he kept the flame and now it's someone else's turn. Got that such a beautiful image. Like the relay of love. Yes. And we judge the tragic part of it, the part of it not working out, but actually, as you just said like in your own life, it's part of the whole. The tragedy is always their present in the joy and the wonder. It doesn't diminish or take away. Orpheus seeing you were to see in the forest or wherever it was that he saw her and falling madly in love and the very short time that they had to love each other or the short time that I had to love this man. It's not diminished by how it ended up in a way. But it's hard to hold that in your heart that all these things can be true. Poor humans. But even so many tools that we just don't use. "Did I create a person? And she gets a lot of good ideas when she's napping. And she'll take these little naps where she's very good at falling asleep in the middle of the day. You know, anywhere just kind of like go in and back room and lay on the floor and can make herself fall asleep. And the way that she does it is she kind of she lays down and then she says, she phrased the mind by thinking about like three or four things at once. Like three or four things that she's interested in she put her mind on him at once. And that kind of is like enough to knock her out. I love that she fries her own circuit board. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. And somehow the frying of the circuit board then leads to these great ideas that happened in the nap state. In the nap space. Well, that's also her book now. It's called knapsack. What quality do you like least about yourself? I am definitely someone who over thinks and second guesses a lot. And I think just insecurity that I feel like I've lived with my whole life and I keep expecting it to go away. You know, as I get older, I'm like, when am I gonna give can I swear on this show or no swearing? Yeah, you can swear, absolutely. I give you full permission. Like not give no fucks anymore. If there are fewer thoughts. I haven't arrived there yet. I care too much sometimes. Did I say something awkward? Is this song, you know, as good as it could be? Do I look bad? You know, things like that. It's exhausting. Do you find that the achievements? So as you're standing there with the hardware of a Tony. What multiple tonys in your hands? Did you ever consciously allow that to mitigate that other voice? Like, do you ever think back to your achievements and help them soothe those moments of insecurity? I think no. The one thing I will say, I feel a little bit more confident about now is that I've written enough songs that I know that at the moment when I'm like, I don't know how to write a song. There's no way I'm gonna finish the song. I kind of can look back and be like, well, you did finish all this other songs. So probably it's gonna happen, you know? That feels a little more sure for me. But in terms of like, I'm meeting somebody at a party, and I'm like, I want to tell me it doesn't cost my mind, you know? I want to tell you, I want to turn it on, Tony. Taking like a power stance in the women's room. We certainly allow ourselves to be haunted by the shitty things that happen to us. Oh, yeah. Why don't we allow ourselves to be beautifully haunted by those things that we've achieved? I wonder why we don't do that more. They're there. They're available energy and actually fundamentally tangible. You did these things. I do that sometimes with my son. I look at Henry when things are not working out and go. I made a person. I made a person who is so funny and talented and kind and good and give myself some sort of credit for that. Yeah, kids do kind of change the equation a little bit. Because it's like, your relationship with them has nothing to do with what your creative accomplishments or you know. It's kind of like there's a foundation of family love that is going to be there. However, awkward, you are at a party. It's going to be there. Yeah, exactly. How old is your son? He just turned 13. Oh, amazing. Wow. It is completely bananas because it's the same. It's the same feeling as when they were one and a half or when they were 6 months old. I'm 7000 miles away from my son right now and it's brutal. Yeah. Even though I know he's totally fine and happy and doing his thing, it's just I don't think that ever goes away. That feeling of I need to be in close proximity. Yeah, I wonder what it's like for my parents now, you know? Like, an adult life, if you still have those feelings or not. It's funny. I think they do. I just think that there's more space in between because the letting go, which is what nobody ever tells you about about parenting, the very first thing, literally, physically that you do with your child is let go. Right. Everything is more letting go. And I think as you get older, I was very close with my mother, but I watched how she would foster those spaces in between because she knew that we had to go and do our thing. But I know now that it was active and conscious and probably quite painful. Right. I know it's brutal actually. I mean, it's beautiful. It's beautiful and brutal. Parenting. Because I would literally, I would have Henry carry me around in his book bag. Like, if possible, I'd just like get inside. I'll sit here through double chemistry with you. Yeah, yeah. I just wanna try it..

"Yeah, and by the way, I want to make people not to get into a whole other SEC story here. But you basically just basically just stood down at a dorm and the women participated. It wasn't anything other than just showing up and being a bystander. There was no mischief that's involved. And in my case, I'm sure there was any drinking, although there probably could have been. Fritz, this is nothing ever happened at those panties. You went there. And it was night. Nighttime and it was usually dark. So you went there and the fun of it was just the invasion itself. Once you got there, it was nothing. But it was the same, you know, it's like kids who go out and back in the 50s and went up on a train trestle and watched trains go underneath. First, I'm going to be very upset if the next SEC story and you have pictures of me at the university of Tennessee. I'm going to be extremely upset. My career will be over. I didn't even remember until you brought that up. I apologize for getting off the subject, but this film will be on immediately following us. It's always great to talk to you again. You did such an extraordinary job a couple of years ago during salaries in the south. And I trust this is equal to that. Be well and come back soon. Thanks so much for having me. Really appreciate it. You got it. Richard Mitchell. In my life, I never thought we would get off a man tried for murder in 1987, and then go back even further in the history book to delve into panty raids on SEC campuses. That does not happen anymore, thank goodness..

A small town with a past crime that haunts the present and one police officer in anti writer played by anna pack win. Here is my complete interview with adrienne. Mitchell i i said it's a great series and i love puzzles and i love mysteries. And this one is a doozy. Oh yeah so. Hey can back you and jane day mags your you know your your co-creator Yet wouldn't you. Do i if you kind of math out everything beforehand and then kind of layered all the different. Twist and turn yeah. We had a writer's room we Did that we had an order of eight episodes when you were. We wanted to end with that Arch with the riddles. Were really difficult to do. They were like the most. I think challenging do anything the they were being created from the perspective of particular character who also had a very somewhat unusual story two tower and through drew realizing the answers to the riddles is sort of live something that character experience. And and so that was really challenging to do to come to work to work on that but it was really exciting and it does all track talking about camping was already attached or did you approach no so what happened was the we got it order in. May it was kind of amazing timing thing i think and is hot time at that point and was telling her agents that she was looking for a really unusual realized crime theories you know she loved the crime fiction and always wanted to play cough a detective so where was his timing thing and i did have a relationship with me i do that of your e and an agent demayo read read the script i love them And the off to anna's ages and she's apples or more like i think we sent her first pilot then she wanted to or and then she wanted anything else..
