Of course, there's no argument, World War two and the experience of our soldiers in both theaters, European and Pacific. Extremely important part of who we are in our American history and world history, for that matter, and Michael's a little concerned about losing that part of our history. Once the World War, two soldiers are gone. That's why we're doing we're doing. I don't want to have them. I don't want to lose that part of our history. And what we do is any profits It's left over from the brick gets paid forward to the scholarship program for the men and women serving the USS Ronald Reagan, so it really pays forward. Uh, but we never should forget We should be thanking. That's not three days year. We need the thinking that's every day of the year because of what they did. We're able to do the things that we, in fact do. And so I love when I go over there, and I'll be able to go back its Frances Open again on their stand there. Just look over the walkway to victory. But even more important to see one of those 90 year old whose has a brick in the ground with their name on it, Have him stand over brick and look at that look at the brick with his name on it, and it brings him to tears. Because somebody said I love you. Yeah. You kind of answered this question. Why is it important to continue sharing the history and legacy of D Day and World War? Two with? Well if we don't who will If we don't who will? That's why I'm doing. That's why I'm doing what I do. You know about my father and his legacy. "For good reason, and I saw a lot of folks paying attention to this story yesterday as they were trying to fill up their cars because of the situation with the ransomware attack on the Alfredo based colonial pipeline. Reportedly carried out by a Russian criminal enterprise. Of course that did force a shutdown of the pipeline. And that pipeline is rather extensive, provides half of all the oil and natural gas from Texas into the northeastern United States. Now yesterday on newsroom, Mitch Clark had a chance to speak with Andy Milton. He's a senior vice president for supply at Mansfield Oil and talked about the importance of that pipeline. Honestly us. It's the largest pipeline. Applaud fuel to on a key states, including Mississippi, Alabama, Certainly us here in Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Virginia and Maryland. I saw on your website that you guys were in a code red for Georgia and several other states. What does that mean? A way for us to communicate with our customers on the field situation. What we're doing immediately kicks in some plan being an implant. C type situations for them for our company were supplying mostly commercial and government customers across your cost us but also some from the retail situations as well. So has he seen any shortages so far? You know, I think we would have seen a little bit of that. Unfortunately, these these pipelines supply feel of every major city about every five days. So there's a little bit of inventory in the system. But those five days need to kind of stay on schedule for us to have zero issues. I would expect some outages. But one of the pipeline gets up this week, which I beautiful, expect. I don't think we're going to see any kind of massive went out across the state that would be is provided. We don't lose our minds as consumers and start filling up. Maybe when we don't need to know. He says. There's no need to panic pump. I don't think this is Harry. You know what I would do their normal driving situations. For some reason, you're in an area they're gonna see that on. Do you have to go to work from home that's suddenly find I don't I don't expect us to have any mass out just like that situation. It's not gonna be down for the amount of time. Um that's the hurricane situation with them and reminded there are two pipelines that supply this part of the Southeast, so colonial pipeline built in the 19 seventies and then plantation pipeline built 1940 so plantations a little bit order. Therefore we'll have a smaller pipeline system that it will be up and going. It hasn't had any issues. It just doesn't have the capacity to, um, to make up for the entire shortfall from the colonial system. Unfortunately, there were people yesterday who aren't heating that particular piece of advice. Anecdotally and observation made not made up by the way. My wife yesterday trying to fill up. She has to go to Atlanta today for work and try to fill up yesterday and went to one gas station. They were out. She went to the next gas station. All they had was premium. Which is okay, because that's her. Rick are runs better on that, anyway. But in the price, of course, had gone up noticed. It went up another 20 cents yesterday. From what it was just the other day. Now the thing is, they are gonna be able to get gasoline out regardless just not quite as quickly but they'll have to rely on trucks more than pipeline is you heard him Mention, and the problem there, though, is Getting drivers. This is just a bit of a challenge right now, but it's certainly issue that was even prior to this event, and that's something that we're gonna be done what I did at an industry even when this gets six. That's in that. We're still gonna have to deal with truck drivers are such a key aspect the business do a fantastic job probably quite often go unnoticed. On. It's really a key aspect that at the ministry, we need to figure out more efficiencies orbit, recruit more drivers or potentially pay more to get more folks interested in that particular occupation. Again. That is Andy Milton, who's a senior vice president for supply at Mansfield Oil yesterday on newsroom with Mitch Clark talking about the situation with the colonial pipeline, which you can read more about And access wdun dot com. "We start the morning where it's 62 degrees in Gainesville that North Korea's news talk wdun and 14 minutes after seven o'clock brings us to something. Positive for you this morning. A stroke of positivity. I love seeing folks who are innovative. And are able to take their innovation and their creativity and share it with other people so that they can help other folks achieve what they have, such as a case if you were able Tohno with newsroom yesterday with Mitch Clark, he checked in with former U G, a standout and NFL player. Ready. Current former NFL player any current who is busy in the Atlanta area, doing a lot of great things, but not just there. He's reaching out with his foundation to help athletes from high school. The retired pros reach their potential, both on And off the field. And when I found refreshing was he was saying, you know, you arm or In just your sport, which I think is fantastic. But he's put together a foundation is called game changers and kind of curious as to what led him to come up with this idea. Yeah, well, it was really a combination of my passing chances. You know, you mentioned it's my career as an athlete, and then you know, just the things I was able to accomplish. A lot of that was the result. So many people report into my life and coaches, teachers, trainers, and even when I transition, which a lot of people out there know when it comes to the athlete. Transition is extremely tough, but I was able to have a lot of mentors that poured into me as well like business leaders. And folks like John Gordon, who's a best selling author and speaker, who is one of my mentors now that it allowed me to make a smooth transition into entrepreneurship. And Kino speaking Offering coaching and everything. And so I thought about all those things, man I realized like I have so many people, t really that I hold a lot, too, You know, And so Really want to create this foundation to recreate my experiences with when it comes to high school athletes becomes the former athletes be noble toe really create opportunities for them in exposure and empowerment. I had the unfortunate experience of getting cut after my second year in the NFL and allow me the time to really start to build my brand to work on my identity. The village doctor create a plan for what I wanted to go and so do that process. And through that experience, I learned the importance of be prepared, You know, being proactive instead of reactive. When it comes to transitioning, and when it comes to, you know your career, and that's not this grassy just for anybody. That's right. We should all take the time to really work on our platforms, work on our identity outside of just our jobs and our titles. And one of our aspirations are and so I'm so passionate about helping especially athletes, the younger ones because I believe you have to start really have to start, at least in that middle school high school phase starts really teaching about life skills and nothing to understand. What they're doing on the field translates into the real world there into what I say there. There were like this because I don't care how great your careers is. Everybody's platform, Everybody. Tradition has been expiration date on it. So exactly what does Game changers do everything and what the game is going back to my past experiences. That was going to the recruiting process and trying to get the University of Georgia before anybody knew who any current Woz. I restocked the guy when I was just trying to figure out my path by name, and Jessie Tuggle. And just whatever was, you know, Atlanta Falcons writing you just so happen to be the same side with me. And just by the fact that I knew he existed just by the fact that I could go to his house and watch this film and see his jersey hanging up like I at that point just believe that my dream could become a reality. And he was just one of many. I mean, I had him guys like him have Thomas Davis when I got the University of Georgia had Hines Ward. I mean so many guys that disappointing to me and made me believe in not just We can still on the field performing but off the field, how to conduct myself. You know, it's a man in that position and handling the weight of success in the pressure because there's so many things that come with being nothing that people don't realize. Especially when you're at the University of Georgia, or you're trying to go to the DFL. You basically become a CEO overnight. There's a lot more to it, and I really like the idea that he from the standpoint of there a lot of people that gave to him when he was in need as far as mentorship and helping him along the way, But it seems that with what he's doing now, it's a question of okay. When you get to a certain point you're able to give back By giving back to those people that mentored you. You give back by also mentoring other people by doing what they did for you for other folks to continue to help build people up, and I think that is fantastic. But I also think it's fantastic is his relationship with his mom. Because current signed a contract with his mother that he would finish his degree, even though he'd been drafted into the NFL. And of course, the big question is. Did you get the diploma? I got it in, you know, but on my watch this one outside of negative to the NFL is one of my product accomplishments. And I earned it that that 30,000 business degree, and it's definitely paid dividends. And it was not easy by any means. Tear ecology. Not easy. No, I feel like you just got a great God, man that I passed the accounting and finance and all that stuff. I just Make me hurt. You think about it kind of makes me her thinking about it, too. But you don't have to be a former or current athlete to be part of game changers. There's ways for everybody to fit into this and easiest way to find out. How you can help is by going to the game Changes Foundation as game changers plural..

"Minutes after 88 12 Wdun survey question, access wdun dot com. Here's what we're asking you today, boy, constant investments, people on both sides calling for boycotts of Georgia based businesses. Do you have Georgia companies in your investment portfolio, and I still asked. Do you know what's in your investment portfolio? If you have a four? Oh one K knows some people do And I think a lot of folks just don't know what's in there. But 66% actually 67% of your responding this morning to our survey questions say No, You don't have any of those companies in your portfolio on that means the remainder do because it's a simple Yes. No question. Again. That's it. Access wdun dot com. Strange days, indeed, most peculiar Mama that's still a line from a song just I don't know. I've been keeping up the situation in what's going on in California. It's always a rather interesting situation. A lot of times the things that go on there. And, of course, the recall with Governor Gavin Newsom in the crosshairs. Of course, he's claiming it's just a bunch of trump supporters who just don't like him when in reality what, like two million signatures and I think some of those they're gonna be whittled down but still be well over the number that they need. Once they go back to the verification process on the petition for the night over the next 30 days and called some of that yesterday on Brian Kilmeade choke out some of that with with Todd Starnes yesterday as well in his program. It's just interesting. Because, as you may have heard with Todd's program, it's a cross section. There are Democrats. People within Newsome's party who just are not happy with the job is done, and I'm happy with states going. I'll be honest with you. Just anecdotally checking in with my son about all the fees they had hopes. They have to jump through to run a small business out there. I keep questioning. I haven't asked him out loud. At some point, the question has to come up. Is it worth still worth the struggle? Is it worth it to try to make it there just because of all the things that are going on. So that said, As you probably know, from headlines about keeping up, there's a good chance that they'll have another recall out there. They'd be the first time that a governor has been recalled in California since 2003. When Governor Davis was the subject of a recall, and Arnold Schwarzenegger the governor to got into the into the office at that point, But the question is who will step up to fill the void? And we've had a couple of interesting candidates announced for that, Like I said, these are interesting days, Reality star and former decathlete Caitlyn Jenner. You spin on his Bruce throwing the ring hat into the ring for that, But here's the one that's really rather interesting. In a tweet yesterday. Randy Quaid. Yes, Cousin Eddie from the vacation movies seriously consider running for governor. The prosecutorial corruption in California, especially Santa Barbara. And the Bell scandal is rampant, and I promised that if elected, I will clean up the district Attorney office throughout the state. So that's what Randy is saying. Of course, Randy's had his own rather interesting. Situation with the laws of the things that, he said and been part of previously living in Canada, where he his wife sought asylum as they felt at the time that their lives were in danger. Earlier this month. The actor Uh, who is? 70 said that he, uh he's seriously considering it, so we'll see. We'll see that's uh Huh? Well, Who knows? Just gets weirder and weirder. And weirder. 16 minutes after 88 16 it W dy wanted to follow up on a story that we've we had yesterday and that story involving Hall County Board of Education and, Of course, the emails that were red folks. T o Um parents petitioning for the school system to get rid of the mandatory mask the mandate that's going on there and yesterday on newsroom with Mitch Clark, superintendent of Hall County schools. Will Scofield was on and answered that question. Will you consider that? Is that a possibility either going into the rest of this year or the beginning of next year place since this started last year ago, February I get emails, almost none of the allegations from people either saying we're not doing enough or we're doing too much, and it really has lent itself trying to continue to stay connected with local health professionals with our local health department. Taking a look at what's going on in terms of community spread. We've got some very active data and partnerships with the hospital that involved the kind of infection nights that they're dealing with either with our employees or students or their families. On. That's the data that we let get. Quite honestly, if we were where we are today way, probably would whatever little mitigation going on where we're in pretty good shape. But you know, every decision has an upside potential downside. Doing anything with Mass right now for the last three weeks of the school year, certainly has a little bit of it upside. I mean, some people would feel better. Although I would tell you that you have 25 emails tomorrow from people saying, What's the matter with you? Have you lost your mind? And the potential downside If all of a sudden, you know, we got a variant cooking at a school and all of a sudden we had some sick youngsters. Um, is cami much greater than the upside of May. We've come this far with that graduations coming up. We've got a number of Teams competing for state championships and to just say, Let's just we're tired. Let's just quit the quit pretending we're in a pandemic and move on. I get it. I know the emotion. Nobody's sicker wearing masks, and I am But you know what? We're gonna We're gonna stay the course we're gonna keep opening up outside to the best of our abilities were up to 75% absolute outside. "For recovery, Thanks for joining the neighborhood. This is Wdun this morning's on main streets with Bill made 6 44 60 minutes away from seven o'clock stepping into a brand new morning. Glad to have you along with us today. Lots of sunshine expected 82 later on this afternoon. We're four minutes away, actually five minutes away from official sunrise. We're starting today. 55 degrees and you know, after 42 years, think of it just a little over four decades in business, Ivy furniture store is closing and all furniture mattresses. There must go and they're open 10 till six Monday through Saturday, Sundays one till five. And you're gonna check out some really great bargains there. Ivy furnish your final on Brown's bridge road there in Gainesville. Good folks over there and some some good quality stuff for you as well. Well, let's take a look back at little bit. It's something that happened yesterday. Former Nice District Congressman Doug Collins announcing Monday that he will not be part of the next election cycle. It's took a little time to check in with our Mitch Clark yesterday on newsroom in the five o'clock hour and speaking with Mitch Collins explain the reason behind his decision not to be part of the next cycle. Very good looking at the election. Whether was frankly for governor of her standing. We were very encouraged by polling and everything else. But they're also just has to be a time in which you you look at where you're at in your life, and you look at what you want to accomplish a little bit. And you also have to be ready to do it again. And then, just in fairness, uh, I never, uh, got to that point where I feel like if this was what I needed to do at this point, um, and you know, I think sometimes it's just personal. Your knowledge and of yourself and no one had believe me going into statewide campaign. I fully understood that you know what that meant and understand what I needed to do, and I was just after praying about it and really thinking about it just never came to a piece about it. So that's why we decided that this this cycle we would be bowing out and we'll be doing other things to support the cost and causes asked. What would it take for the GOP to be successful and to win coming up? Not only 2022 but going forward the party as a whole. And he says what the GOP needs to Do is improve into specific areas. We've got to get better at action, a conservative message being able to communicate a conservative message. It actually is not number one boring. I'm sick of conservative being boring. We got too much of that going on number two. I'm tired of it. Just being about well, here's our policy and you know, we got the best ideas. Well, that's great if they don't affect people's lives. And those ideas were simply just rattling of around that nobody pays attention to the like of playing. Gonna assemble it just it just doesn't matter what I'm gonna try and do it. It's help our candidates who are running so look articulate what you believe in particular. How defects people. How did you take a policy such as lower tax or less regulation that affect their everyday lives? They don't want to hear about the GDP they don't wanna hear about. You know the market. They don't care about any business. They want to know how You know, more money in their pocket means that they could send their kids to ball cap taken by this new tissues. Like looking down payment on my house. They can do those move the message to about the people you're wanting to serve and then number two. I think once conservative, you know, have power and I do believe that we're gonna win in 2022 in the house, and I think the Senate as well. I think it's time that we actually govern, and I think that's the decision that, you know, take those principles. Take the customer in concert decision, but tell people why you want to do what you did. And speaking of 2022 just around the corner, Or what about the possibility of Governor Brian Kemp facing opposition in the primary? Look, I don't have nothing personal against, you know, Brian Camp, I think, you know, I think some of the decisions that would have been made, of course I would question I thought he should have picked me for this. And he did. That's fine. Um, and I think maybe we could have ended differently last year, but I think the biggest thing is is where we are in the Georgia, you know, working with move forward, and if people want to challenge him, then I think he'll be the one that I have to answer that. But I do believe that because of his relationship or non relations, probably a better way to put it with the former president. It isn't me. He's gonna have a tough run. Even though he's not running just heard earlier. He is planning on working with candidates to help them get the message out there again. "40 degrees now and looking for 57 later on today, with lots of sunshine got very good one. That's for sure. It's 14 minutes after eight o'clock, Mitch Clark is with us from access Wdun calm and our news department and we're talking about What you've been reading about. And that is access Wdun in review for the past year and Mitch, you've been compiling numbers here for a while. Just trying to find out what we read the most. It's kind of fun exercise we do every year to try and see what the most read stories on the website were in the past year. And you can probably guess I'm gonna have something and something tells me where the pandemic is probably number one, but I don't know. I don't know, but but one of the things that I found interesting is that, um, Usually when we do this every year, it's usually Horrible car accidents or horrendous crimes. I think that we've got some of those in the top 20 stories this year, but there's a new, interesting mix of stories and the pandemic. Was not The only thing that people were reading about this year. Six Corona virus related stories here in the top 20. So that shows you there's a lot of other stories ever. We were making other news, right, right. Okay, so let's let's just count down. The top five will strike number five. If you want to do in that direction, all right. That's fine, While number five was one of those horrible stories, it's from January. On employee was killed on the job accident in January Filled all farms on Thompson Bridge Road. Admirable, Okay, Number five. Number four on the list of our four of is one of those interesting stories that isn't one of the typical things you see this one from October, The whole County Commission approved the request from the sheriff's office to make a larger than usual purchase of ammunition. Was a shortage of ammunition. They had the opportunity to stock up on it to avoid the shortage, so they did that. And that was the fourth most restoring order Fourth most read stories of the entire and that was the entire year was in October. Okay, lot of folks curious right Number three number three. Also gun related her Haversham County vote in January to make the county Georgia's 1st 2nd amendment Sanctuary County. Remember that cause quite a stir a little bit of talk on the air and a lot of talk on social Media s O. That was an interesting story number third for the year. And then this is the story that I thought was going to be number one. I think I told everybody around the office that this was gonna be number one, So we just had miss convene algae, and we've got the runner up. That's right. The second most red story of the year and mother with these next two are by far the most read stories of the year. Number two was when the first two patients at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center facility were diagnosed with covert 19 that was in the middle of March, was on a weekend. And turns out the two people were not from Hall County, but they were being treated at all county facility. That was the first to people in our area that were confirmed with virus. We'll fast number two Then our crown wearing winter must be quite a big story. It was a big story. That's the day Governor camp issued the statewide shelter in place. Order. Ah, yes, I could see where that would be. Because there were so many questions about what does that mean to me? What can I do? What kind of knot do exactly what businesses are open? Can I go to work? Those sorts of things that mean you won't talk about a story that affected every single We have stories that affect a lot of live stories that don't affect lives. Except you're curious about that is all story touched every single Georgian correct, and it also was the day at the same time, he announced the shelter in place, he announced he was closing all public schools. Through the end of the current school year, although schools will be going virtually, But he was closing the physical building so That was by far if eight year olds could vote. He was elected insulation. Yeah, no more school. What do you mean? We have to go online? What exactly did you see that the fine print? There you go. All right, well, that Z interesting and I can see where that would be. And I had not even in all the stories about this past year I planned pandemic and politics. Certainly I would think we had some of those that bubbled up. Uh, is there we don't have any political stories. The top 20 in the top 20 really? And I think that's because, um Nobody's interested. Well, well. It was a big national story low the presidential election. We just didn't have as much. Local races. You didn't have people coming to here to find out about Um, you know the county Commissioner Ray wouldn't have county commissioner places and in school board racism? Yeah, okay. And in most of our county's, we didn't. All right. All right. So before we wrap this up here, I just kind of curious about Any time that people do these sorts of things you always find something that sort of surprises. You alright? And you kind of go. That's interesting. Did you? Did you have any of those e got a couple of things first of all, uh, 2020 was an odd year in a lot of ways. But the most odd thing that I found in looking at this is that, um all but three of the top 20 stories of the year happened in the first six months of the year. Wow. We only had three stories. It happened in the second half of the year. I told you one of them. That was the one from October with the ammunition. The Haversham County Second Amendment to know that was in January wasn't generation January. The, um Store That just happened recently where the mother has been charged with killing her two Children. What I wanna gut turnings. Yeah, that was that was in the top 10, and then we had a story from July. On it was there had been a A suspect who fled from police cost a traffic accident that killed a man That was in July. And that was the number 10 story so The biggest news of the year happened. And of course, that's when the pandemic right and everything else is just sort of kind of related but night once you got past that first one Life was defined. What else was there? Right? And then I also I thought in the in the aftermath of the George Floyd death in, uh Minnesota. And we had our share of protests here and gains fully undressed. Atlanta in Gainesville is everywhere. Only two stories from that cracked the top 20 and one was 16 and one was number 19. How about that interesting, are we what are we are we are We gonna make this you you can go to access wdun dot com right now and see the entire list, including links. Well, tell that story. Yeah, e told me I could have cheated. Okay. All right, dog gone it. I need to be more up today. I'm looking at the survey for that. That's what I was looking at. So I didn't see that. Okay. Survey looking like, certainly Right now. It has not changed a.

I respect what you're saying texture and you are correct if all the votes that have yet be counted are counted, and it's certified Then that will be the case. But we do have the white things are leaning now the way the certain states are leaning as they start to finish that tab. If they go the way they're leaning, then you are correct. But it has not been officially declared. So we cannot officially reported as such. So we're just going to wait on those results, But I hear what you're saying. And I respected for sure. One thing that did get settled is the ninth District Last night, Of course, Ninth District congressional race was made available because Doug Collins decided to choose to run for the Senate. And unsuccessful run for him as he came in third in the voting yesterday. And so there will be a runoff between Kelly La Flor and Rafael War. Not We can't chronicle that in our last half hour, but taking a look at what's going on with with our Our district nine. Ah US house raced on Andrew Clyde was the winner in that Andrew was on the air last night with us with our coverage that access Wdun spoke with Mitch, Martha and Lydia and I had a few words to share with folks is to what lies ahead for him. Quite an honor. Tio have that support from the ninth District in Ah, very humbled by that, and I'm very proud of the ninth District. They really come out in force in their voting. As WeII asked him to, and and so I'm just very thankful for that, Andrew. What do you think made the difference in this race? Well, you get the numbers. You're winning in every county except Stevens, and none of the votes have been reported there, so you've won all of the county's except Stevens. Well, you know, we are the most conservative district in all of Georgia were the most Republican district and And I think that my message of limited government and protection of the innocent unborn and defense of the Second Amendment really resonated well. With With those in the ninth District, and so they wanted to come out and vote and I and very humbled and honored by that. So how do you think your life is going to change? Now? This is a big change from being a business owner to now you're going to be a congressman. Yes, it is a big change. And I've been working on that change for about the last two months on and off, trying to balance campaigning and and running flash, you know? Working toward the potential transition of a business and now it's going to be a confirmed transition of a business so So I've been working on that in life is going to change quite drastically. Do you foresee yourself is one of those guys is going to sleep in your office? Um, no, I'm not a thank you. I will tell you that in my business. When we were doing some renovation. There was the time that I had to sleep in my office and my business, and I did not enjoy that was like, so I am not going to do that. Now. I'm going to find a place there. Now. The goal is to fly up on Monday and to fly back on Friday and to spend a week working in D C and being home on the weekends and, Ah In connecting with, um, with my church family, staying connected with my church, family and and and with my district and with my family, first of all, Absolutely. Andrew. Clyde. Thank you so much, And good luck. I know we're going to be talking a lot. Yes, Yes, we will. Martha and I look forward to that. I look forward to you communicating to the district and me being able to do that through you. Andrew Klein last night on our coverage of election 2020 with Mitch Clark and Martha's All of their Lydia Sartain also helping out appreciate all those folks being part of it. One thing I mentioned Ah, the Senate race involving war Noch and Leffler, but did not mention the fact that David Perdue right now, still a not quite decided he still has a slim lead with 50.85% of the vote. Over Jonah's off with 46.85%. Looks like it is going to end up going his way with 99.44% of the vote counted s Oh, well, we'll see what happens there, and it looks like he'll hang on, though, but here again cannot call it officially until it is officially called by others. And then we simply report that for you, but one thing that did happen yesterday. That is rather interesting. And that is more business opportunities. In certain states. I'm probably not the kind of business opportunity you're thinking about. According to a piece of hotel E. It looks like South Dakota, Montana, Arizona and New Jersey are about to become the latest states to approve marijuana for recreational use. Ah mixed bag of responses from these voters in Hoboken that could easily be abused. I don't really know if I believe in it, Recreational e. Why make it illegal? When people can get employed taxes can be bestowed on it. All. Four states are saying you have to be over 21 to use it and pot sales will be taxed. It's not clear yet One sails will begin in those states. Still, NATO fucks news. Oh, come on now. Sales in those states been going on already is not legally. Yeah. Trust me, people they have They have 7 49 in North George's News, dawg. You D'oh!.

"Below. 65 just feels cold. Didn't matter. Right? So today is the day we go to the polls. Now I know you're going. We haven't been doing that for three weeks. So today is the day this is when we used to always just vote today. But today is Election Day today say we go for the general election, and Mitch Clark, who is with us, and of course he is the guy that keeps access North Georgia looking so good. And of course, our news director and director of content there Is with us and Mitch, You have outdone yourself. This's amazing the way folks going to be able to get results tonight. This is going to be Bigger and better than we've ever been able to do. It is I don't know that I get all the credit for it. We've got a pretty good team of we're going to be Ah, having a page tonight. You can already preview it. There's a banner on the access Wdun home page. It'll take you to our results Page. You can see what we're gonna do. We're gonna have Very interactive maps. They're going to be very cool. When you first go to the page. You'll see the electoral map for the president. But you can toggle on follow any of the 35 Senate races that are going on around the country, including the two big ones here in Georgia. You'll be able to follow all 435 congressional races across the country and 11 governorships in the country and you do it by state if you want to know what's happening in Texas. Click on Texas, and it'll open up a map of Texas and then you can boil down even to the county level. You're interested some of us Ah political geeks Tonight will be looking at Pennsylvania on We'll be able to boil down and look at what's happening in the county, where Philadelphia is to see what the numbers were there. What that's going to mean for the Biden campaign, so It's going to be very cool. We're also going to have a map. Of Georgia on the page that will allow you to toggle between the two Senate races. And then all of the U. S House races, including the two We've got up here in the seventh District and in the ninth District. You'll be able to again ball that down to the county level. If you want to know how Hall County is voting in the ninth Congressional District, you can click on Hall County and see those numbers in realty time. It's very exciting and then the rest of the pages sort of the traditional scoreboard. That we've always done with how many votes you've got, What percentage that is for the Senate. The two Senate races the two House races here in North Georgia, therefore legislative seats in the whole county legislative delegation that are up this year. They're 16 other legislative seats up for challenge across northeast Georgia. We'll have results from all of those. And then there are a handful of counties that have some county racism County Commission seats, the board of Education Hammer. Sam has a splotch, and they also will have the to PSC races and of the three ballot questions that air on your ballot in Georgia. Yeah, And I would, you know, encourage people to especially on the ballot questions. You probably have an idea and some of the candidates that you want to support but just to be conscious of the people behind you in line. Ah, take a take a moment to study those ballot initiatives and before you go to the polls because it's not written in the most easy to understand language, it's written very much and legally. So you really need to read. Ah, Primary on what those mean. I really wish they would do that in regular speak. I do too. I know that we've done that before. And Ah, you can look at the voter's guide and what have you but we've We've done it before, And we don't articles where people put it in plain right. It's like It's like somebody I don't know. Just Somebody in another world wrote that and it's not a language that I speak. Yeah, it's very precise. I understand. It has to be that way in the law because you want to be able to make sure that it's clear it's concise and not necessarily up for any appeals are going through the court she wanted already done the first time. But for those of us who don't speak legalese, exactly our understanding exactly could be nice to know that this is this is great, because what I like about this is that gives you a way to to see what's going on in a couple of different graphic forms. You can look at the numbers right? But look at the percentages or the bars that go cross or to be able to look at whether the states are turning red or blue. Correct. So do we have any And you'll end your days here. There's one thing I notice is that as results start coming in, let's say when polls close at seven and results start coming in Georgia and President Trump is leading, for instance. The state will turn light red that will indicate 10. It's a trend that's that's that he is leading. As of right now, the state has not been called right, but he's leading when it turns dark, red or dark blue. That means that the state has been called for that candidate. Okay, real fast. This is something else. I think we need to point out when we did When we had primary coverage. There was some frustration not just within the building, but within listenership att. The fact that not a lot of results were coming in is the way that the secretary of State's office was giving us the information. But we we've We've found a way around that in a way. Yes, it sounds subversive. But it's not. It's a way that we used to do things. Ah, long time ago here, and that's what we call the ring down to kind of explain people how we're getting this number so quickly. Associated Press does a phenomenal job of calculating and a tabulating results. They have a massive call center that people call into and what they do is they hire A stringer. Sometimes it's a reporter for the local paper. Sometimes it's a retired journalist. Sometimes it's a college student. And their job is to go to a new election office. Get the numbers call this call center, and then they'll start showing up on our Web page, and so they'll have one of these stringers in every election office. In every county in every state in the country I used to. I used to do that. And I did to both of us have time in trenches. You for the newspaper radio station, and.
