"There's a pretty interesting story in the Journal in this. TIKTOK. To pick in the journal piece what they do they actually call president trump the ultimate decider. Remember when Bush called Amalgam the decided the decide they make fun of them well, turns out that Dr. Here again and he should not be misunder estimated. Under any circumstances, the US Department said, it would review an agreement for Oracle and others to revamp tectonics US operations in order to avoid a ban of the popular video sharing APP Oracle would serve as a trusted a technology provider Chinese. Parent dance said, it believes its proposal submitted to the Treasury Department resolve the trump administration security concerns. I don't know why far cry from an outright sale. But you know if you read that piece, you've probably done some of your reporting on inter there's two solid camps. In the White House I guess some people are arguing if you outright ban it. Young Conservatives are not going to think that. A good thing. So there's No. There's pressure to work out something than ban with falls short of actually a technology transfer which doesn't seem to be possible given those algorithms are valuable and ran. I guess they it's the same old crap right? It's like when I look at my my phone and I googled something like last week like a place and then suddenly hair some like Airbnb, is available in that place it's like Whoa this phone. Anything no about about your personal taste. But how does it? How does it do that like a thermos stays? Cold know what's happening. This is the issue it's taking. It's taking all of your data and the question is, how does the algorithm work if the algorithm effectively is being developed and living in? China, can you move that Algorithms United States and if you move it to the United States, but it's still controlled by a company. In China, does that change the dynamic I? Think these are the questions I imagine somehow they're gonNA come to some truce not an intrusive just gonNA claim a win win all around even though I think it's going to be imagined very different than what? "Administration and congressional Democrats working this week to try to prevent a second government shutdown which could come in less than three weeks if no compromises, Matt. On February fifteenth committee will come back, and if they don't have a wall. I don't even want to waste my time. Reading what President Trump says the plan must include funding for a border wall. The Democrats argue it would divert money away from other areas of government that need it for more on President Trump's weaken and everything else happening in Washington. Let's turn to our White House. Correspondent ABC's? Karen travers. Karen, we're ending one week. And we're starting another week next week. We will finally get the delayed state of the union address. And what are we going to hear the president said that this is speech will focus on unification, which you know, implying bipartisanship and bringing the country together. Of course, this has been a pretty nasty bitter partisan time in Washington with that thirty five day government shutdown. I think we can also expect that the president is going to focus very heavily on border security, and Sherry that's where you know. He kind of joke about it. But you've heard the president give large portions of the state of the union over the past couple of weeks. We know what he wants. He wants billions of dollars for a border wall. And he is going to make a hard case to lawmakers to. Give it to him. You can imagine that the reaction in the room from that new House Democratic majority is going to be stone-faced. Yeah, we're quiet. Are we going to see any sort of unification from those Democrats who are there now and colors that they're wearing any actions that they plan to do we don't know about that just yet. But I think if you look at the trend of the past week, so the government shutdown ended with a three week agreement for government funding and a promised to negotiate on border security week one is over and we haven't moved an inch closer to anything that would be considered a compromise or a deal or anything the president can accept in fact, the president undermined or dismissed any of the efforts by bipartisan lawmaker saying it's a total waste of time. He says he's not going to get what he wants Nancy Pelosi has made it very clear this week. She's not giving any money for a border wall. So where is the wiggle room? Right now, we're not seeing it but cherry the deadline is not until February fifteenth. And if we know one thing about congress, they don't do anything if they still have time. Left on the clock. Right. Exactly. What are the drawbacks in just simply declaring one of these national emergencies the precedent? That's what Republicans are saying. So I starting there you have a lot of Republicans saying he should do this Lindsey Graham an ally saying just do it. You know, go ahead. You're not going to get the money from congress. Do you have to do Marco Rubio is been a very vocal opponent to this plan saying this just sets a very bad precedent for future administrations? If they don't get what they want on a policy priority. They'll declare national emergency and try and reshuffle the money. So there's just the politics of it. And what this means going forward. There's also just the push on. It's not really going to work. You know, he can say it's a national emergency. Mick mulvaney. His chief of staff says they've already identified more than five point seven billion dollars from other departments that they could put together in a pot and put it toward a border wall. But if you declares a national emergency, he can't just write himself. A check a couple of hours later, you know, they have to figure out how they're going. To do this. And here's the thing. Sherry it's going to get challenged in court and legal experts. We've spoken to say this could drag on longer than the president's remaining time in office in a first term this could be two plus years of going through the court system, which means the world doesn't get built with that national emergency money. What do you think of the performance of Nancy Pelosi so far? I mean, she came in there. There was a lot of doubters. And and there's actually been a, you know, what is your thoughts on their from the White House perspective of of how this new democratic congresses is playing out led by speaker Pelosi. It was striking to see is White House officials current and former reaching out to us last week after the president declared the end of the shutdown and accepted deal. It had no money at all not a dollar for the border wall. The reaction from people close around the president was he lost. He was this one big time. And that Nancy Pelosi played this at every turn perfectly. I think there was a comment that when we look back on this. The period. Whether that's in a couple of weeks a couple of months, and there is something that Nancy Pelosi said in December in the Oval Office. The president was trying to say that she was playing hard ball because she was facing a revolt among harangues, she wasn't speaker yet at that point during the lame duck session, and there were some rumblings that a couple dozen Democrats were not going to support her. And he noted that to her, you know, you're just doing this because you haven't locked this down. And she said, you know, don't mischaracterize the strength. I bring to this. And I think one thing we saw from White House officials over the past few weeks is they did misunder estimate to use a George W Bush word the power that she was bringing in the ability that she had to keep her caucus together. President was very frustrated. And I think he's seen Republicans over his first two years in office. Get fractured manpower. Ryan is speaker was losing conservatives. And then if you help the conservatives back into the room, you lost the moderates, and they were always kind of leaking holes in the boat. We haven't seen that yet. Nancy Pelosi, and the Democrats it doesn't mean it's not coming. It's inevitable. But for now on this big fight. She's kept everybody together. Okay. ABC's? Karen Travers, joining us from the White House, and thank you so much. Enjoy the Super Bowl this weekend. I have a great weekend..

If Colton like can I just steal them for like one second. And then you have a southern comfort. Okay. Okay. And we'll be pick like so sue, okay? Okay. Coton Clark had come on cotton spirit of New Orleans. All right, guys. That's it. We're it's it's bachelor time today. We're playing. It's time. I'm calling it anything we are going to pick the three women each that. We think will make it the furthest. So essentially, we're picking fantasy suites. Here's how we're going to do it. I'm going to go. I was going to go. Second jobs gonna go third then I'm going to go. I it's not a snake because there aren't clear favorites. I think we should just go in an order. My podcast is your name is on the book. Okay. I actually don't want to go first. I trade the first thing to third-round we'll say the beginning of this season's the first episode was an hour of I didn't watch. It was like getting to know some of the girls, and maybe there were Hinson there. I did not have three hours to devote to watching. I started when the girls started getting out of the cars because back in my day. That's when the episode started. Okay. So that's where I started at. So if anybody's started earlier, they may have more information than I do also before we start we should say, we are not necessarily picking ones that we like, we're picking ones we think are going to win right or make it right? Yep. So with that being said, I'm going to pick. I the woman that I picked to be the first impression rose when Ashley number watching it together. She didn't win the first impression rose, but I'm going to pick Kaelin C E L Y N. She's missed North Carolina. She was the one who got out of the car and switched her sash. So that it said she was trying to be miss Underwood. Ashley thought it said underwear I did because. Didn't know that Colin's last names Underwood. And so it was awkward. She's like, I don't get it. He kissed her. They had great chemistry. It really did. Look like they were. She was going to get that rose. But then didn't happen. So I am picking Kaelin grammatical note. It said misunder would not MRs Underwood. So that's confusing. That's really true who f- bouncer. Sure. She will be the first bachelor contestant to have her grammar incorrect on national television. Well, actually, actually, number two. Okay. Just just statistically the receiver of the first impression rose has gone. Very far. It would be remiss of me not to thus hin Aji who got the first impression rose. I'm sorry. Jay, I got I know he's a content creator. What does that even mean us? Well, it means that she makes content. So am I then? Yes. So can we catch you on the Knicks Hanje Kaelin off the board? Jay who who's your first pick? And. I was gonna take Hannity. Sorry..

She she probably won't laugh laws then. I don't know you. But I do know that you have a big heart and care about kids. Like well. You know, I've got a website for you. It's called Megan's list. K. It's like your own. Tinder can't go have fun. Oh my God. So then Heather never been kissed. She is so like long and skinny I was like she looks like a pool noodle. She looks like a pool need. Okay. You know, how Red Lobster? They have those aquariums. Where you pick your your fish? Yeah. And you can see through to the other side of the restaurant. It's like you're looking at someone through that. That makes sense. Yes. Like, she's kind of distorted looking. Yeah. She's a pool noodle side of Red Lobster tank. Oh my God. Okay. Next Nicole for Miami been Kaelin who is the beauty Queen. But she has a sash. So she's either miss North Carolina or she's the Mozelle by can't remember which line the one with. Then she turns her Sasser on. She's like, look what else I am miss Underwood and your sessions badly safety pinned come on get out of here. Carolina beauty queens do need. Like, we get it. We get with the bachelor is, but this is like making fun of itself at this point when they're just like a beauty Queen Beatty Queen all right? So. Point out that she's like, I'm here for a bigger title. Misunder would another one you won't win on the same sash this North Carolina. So Sydney's in NBA dancer, who quit her job. And so she says, hi Colton. And she's like, I quit my job. And I'm glad I did. I'm glad I know I made the right decision. And then she does this weird cut pathetic to the camera thing where she's like, you know, what I know made the right decision. I can tell Colton Arctic feels the same way about me. No, he doesn't what these people are. So delusional. You didn't quit your job. Kate your job stopped calling you because you're thirty five. And this is how it is. I'm sorry. But you're an NBA dancer want from me can make the rules. So then we have the crazy ginger who's. Oh, yeah. I'm nervous. I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous. We're gonna have a great night. And it all starts tonight. And wow, I don't even remember what I said. Mike nothing dope here. So next is Tajon and she's like this in. I know my name is hard. But I hope I'm the ties won- for year. And he's like, I don't understand. I didn't understand it either. In fact, I under I only get it. Now that you I'm the one for you, basically one. I'm she goes, I'm the last one. That you will. I don't know. Yeah. It was a stretch. So then Cassie the wifey. This is how I she's a WI fi because she comes in with her flowered, Laura. Ashley dress in the music is doing the wife, you music, and that term wifey is from that show. Unreal. Which if you people have watched it to its meaning. Yeah. Yeah. And she's like, I'm a speech pathologist. And he's like, oh my God. Maybe you can help me because my dad keeps calling me donkey Mike funding ahead of the kitchen table. "I couldn't stop with that. Also, her name's Tanya, all the kids. Are they have names like a Janiaux? What are their names is like and then my kids Jimmy ill to Janika Jamaica. Abba, look, whatever they wear and tasha, but he calls her. Hey brat. And they're giving him sit. You know? They're like, oh my God are poor loser dead. And then we don't find out until almost the end of our two when these like, well, I'm worried that she's rich. But also, I haven't told her about my apartment yet, isn't that? The guy is like living with one of his daughters. Yeah, she's got he's keep telling her. She's got to get out. And that's not the most worrisome thing. Tasha who he lovingly refers to his hey brat has one of those sides shaved hair hair styles. So she needs to get a new apartment and she needs to find a job a sap. But we're what kind of job wouldn't would employ. It wouldn't be a little bit concerned that she's got half of her hair shaped. So it's like all business on one side and all party on the other. Yes, she looks kind of like she's always dressed to work at blockbuster, which is like closed, you know, everything she wore was blockbuster uniform for a long time ago, and it's one of those girls, it's like she'll open your video. And look at it and not charge you. But then later charge a credit card for not rewinding. Do you know like there's so many issues that girl that it went bikes are stolen in the neighborhood. Everyone blames that girl whether or not she did it just because she's walking around in a blockbuster uniform, and like crazy hair also feel like she's the kinda girl that mouth breathes all the time. Yeah. There was a lot of mouth breathing going, and who can blame her I wouldn't breath out of my nose in that apartment. Either. Also laid she he was very he was very it was very important for him to explain to us that she's very -ccomplish woman. So he was just as surprised as we are that they're together she is multiple degrees. But most importantly, he noted that she's a model and actress and she was the fifth runner up in the miss Indonesia contest. Like, I always say it's like the person that tells me that they were the captain of the volleyball team only to find out. They were home schooled. How many people were in the miss Indonesia contest? And where is she modeling? And where she an actress, I dunno whatever Dillard's is in misunder Nisha. Okay. I was. Like a junkie child model at Dillard's for one season. So I can see it happening. I say you grow the most disturbing thing is that she's mad that he's paying child support. And she's not even there yet. She's trying to get him to dump all of his children before. So you've against it down. And this is something he's actually kind of considering because he tells us wife, he's like, you know, that's a huge expense child Giles support. I also was captivated by scenes from more episodes where it is revealed. She's not the slender model actress that she has pretended to be. She is actually like a middle aged dumpy person. So I feel like there needs to be some sort of service where you can hire a private detective to trail, the international lover and to take real time photos of them because I feel like it would save a lot of these people a lot of time. Oh my God. The locals could use it to. I mean, just look at Lincoln j everyone's so foolish it. That's like this girl. She's like, I'm an actress, I'm a model. I'm a an award-winning banker. Like dog Walker diamond finders he had like thirty jobs, but she still lives with her parents. Yeah. And then she's like I have made look it's my video and then she's hanging all over the maze posing and taking noxious selfish. And you know, those are just are aunts. Stuck in the kitchen? We've all been I'm okay, it's my made. And my mom's like fuck you rounded. The the drivers actually a bus driver. Okay. Sure. Okay. So then we moved to Jonathan thirty two Lumberton North Carolina. I would like to know where that town is and Fernanda nineteen Mexico..

So we got a couple of good ones are first ones from eight inch, Chicago. This is from the Scotto suburbs for the game high school. But basically we had a really good day went to the movies and everything. And I went to go jumper offered house and we're talking about five minutes, and I was wondering why she's still sitting in the car. And yeah, you know, she ended up leaving if they're a little bit, and then I was driving. And I'll see, you know, she just wanted to, you know something on. Thanks. Bye. One of those mess ups. Yeah, been there been there like, sorry, MS misunder. Misunderstood. What situation with my story is a bad dates, all my car involved. The fact that my car used to always be messy like indefensibly messy. And so what I would try to do is just though all the stuff into the backseat, right? Just to get myself where I needed to be get everything. Sometimes they look back and see some that don't need to be seen boy or you wouldn't. You wouldn't just put it in the trunk. Now, always forget like honest Friday, forgot head to clean up the car, and the Trump might have been full of stuff too. Yeah. I mean, this guy thinking after the fact. Why would she hanging around for so long? Why does he keeps lapping my knee when she laughed at that joke? That wasn't funny. All right. This next one's from Wayne in Atlanta. Money. This is Brian out of Atlanta Georgia calling to. So you got a bad data ahead. So I was going to movies with my girlfriend and we're going to see pirates of the Caribbean islands fall asleep within the first twenty minutes of the movie, but no worries. Those allow to sleep and we feel considers day show. Rock news day story. I read that time. I fell asleep on a date at the movies did. Well, I did talk to her again and the only conclusion outreach we're talking to her again was I wasn't going to get now 'cause I had beef because I didn't have the game to overcome, however bad date. I proven to be that night when you get double one and you just like that. Don't think I got that job. Don't think that interview win will do you. Do you nap often when you're out in public places? No, I do not really, really tired because very long day and the gift that's like taking the world by storms, yawning on television. Policies would be more exciting. That's all that comes down to that was at night. Man. I, you know, on class and done all my stuff that may like our drive and all that, but it was not. It was not my fun. So. This last one it in the way that he explained. It didn't necessarily seem like it was his fault, but there were parts of it that were hit were his fault. And so I thought I'd play just because I thought at a funny result. Mike from difficult to get a had a lot of bad dates a whole lot. But I'd say verse that have to be my senior prom where I had a really hot girl asked me and I turned her down to an honorable because I was gonna favor for a friend and the girl said, I said some stuff, and you know, maybe get the about it. I went to you this random girl who spent the whole time trying to have sex with another guy who's in our prom party. I, the whole time there and a party afterwards to sitting by myself getting drunk while she's trying to get over who wants to do there. And the end of the night I locked my keys in my own trunk had to call my parents to come in unlock my car that I could go. It was true. True. The awful. Oh man. Vault was like, wow. How, but I can't imagine he felt like these the audible thing, but still goal with this girl this she spent the whole night, try to get a crack it with somebody else..
