There's so many surprising facts about Hospice Care off. So many of us really don't know about and neither and you to bottom there's a lot that you didn't realize until you got into this, right. Oh for sure. Yeah, the my world has been off and completely changed by my experiences with hospice and caregiving. Yeah. Well, let's talk about it. So the first thing I think that we should probably talk about is what's the difference between hospice care giving yeah. So that's something I always kind of like to inform people because I talk about both hospice is typically when a patient is closer to death usually within a year or so, although it can be much more rapid or it can be a little bit longer than that. I usually people that are in hospice need a lot of end-of-life care, but maybe they're not mobile. They're not coherent. They're just kind of eating a hand to hold and somebody to be there for them as well as take care of their day-to-day job. Necessities to make them comfortable. It's a little bit more of a bonding time to let somebody know they're not alone as they're passing away and you know for nurses and healthcare workers. It's also, you know a kind of a lot of medications and you know, testing and stuff like that but for for either a volunteer or somebody that's doing caregiving hot when a patient in hospice your um, usually some form of emotional support whether they're really aware that you're emotionally supporting them or not. It's a really fascinating process with the way that people let go of their physical bodies and most of the time the most of the time people do tend to want some form of companionship some follow me human companionship as they passed away again. It's strange because it really doesn't matter whether they're coherent or not. It's something it's an energetic I think give and take that off. I learned about when I did my first hospice training years ago. And one thing that they say is very interesting, you know to kind of prove that theory is that way many times when when a hospice somebody who's caregiving for a hospice patient if they go away for some reason such as you know vacation, or I don't know maybe I'm schedules change or shift change or whatever this person that's been sitting with them. That's usually when the person will come to pass away. Yeah. So there's a big connection with the absence of the caregiver and the person choosing to pass away. So usually that means that the person's done their job correctly because it means that they had given them some peace and shown them that you know, it's okay to let go which is a really beautiful gift. I think to give somebody in my experience you can kind of yell People appreciate the presence of another and then caregiving caregiving a hospice kind of you know, they're in a similar vein, but they're giving you really just taking care of an elderly the elderly population or sometimes sometimes some form of handicapped population or disabled population, um wage, but I was somebody with you know, a very life-threatening illness or something, but what you're doing largely is you're doing things for them, but they're not able to do for themselves anymore wage is the pricing in my opinion because it's there's a lot of people that the only word that I can use is abandoned and I'm talking about people's parents people's uncle's people's long-lost relatives, you know and doing he's got these people who are in these later stages of life and their left. They're left by themselves. You know, it's it's it I think a little bit more heart-wrenching than we know because so many of em, don't get involved in this world. But when you're an aging person it's a little bit like my comparison is always my eighteen-month-old. It's a little bit like leaving a toddler by themselves and they don't understand why they're by themselves. They don't understand even sometimes that a, you know, turn on the T. They've had for the last ten years twenty years. I don't understand that. It's a meal time, you know, they don't understand it's time to get up or time to go to bed or anything like that. And so as a caregiver you kind of just go into their home. Do you kind of just Mom them, you know? Yeah. Yeah or dad them, you know, a lot of men in the profession that I do too. And it's it's it's you know, It's like their lives need a little bit of direction. Yeah, it's incredibly rewarding, you know, I'm thinking about and it can be fun too. So, you know, I've done both I've done the hospice and the caregiving hospice only a couple of times but you know, when I was a young woman told the story on the air, this will make you laugh. I don't know if you've ever heard it Autumn, but this is what I mean when you know, I mean, it's it's kind of it's funny. It's fun. I this story I've carried with me my whole life. So the guy so I got I got asked to basically baby said, you know how set with with two elderly people and his name was Mister Gianni. Okay and Mister Johnny Cash wife was really sick. She was in hospice, but I was the overnight, you know caretaker. And anyway, I'm sitting there. You know. I'm I'm like twenty years old. I'm you know going to Community College. I'm sitting at the kitchen table, you know, you're studying anthropology or something. I don't remember what it was. But but you know Mister Gianni comes out and God bless his soul. He was so funny. So he comes out and and I said hi. Hi, how you doing? What are you doing? And it's like it's like 1 in the morning. Okay, he's cuz I'm going to shave I'm going to shave I said, okay. All right, so he got out a little bowl from under the sink. You know, this is just real old-fashioned like Upstate New York home. It's out the bowl from under the sink. There's a mirror over the kitchen sink and you know, he puts on the shaving cream and then start shaving and he gets himself all cleaned up and everything he turns around he grabs his to Cannes that were hanging down. She put it on each side of the sink. Okay, are you picturing this little tiny kitchen and Upstate New York, he turns around and he says Aya pay you attached and I was like what home and I had to jump over the table to get away from him Junior. Are you is your mouth hanging up and.

"No young young you seven three. So he groomed them from seven and I always found that there were the little guys. Because, always, only Tony Guy when I started any seven. And it was the little Tony guys that you know he knew obviously he could control and nurture, nurture and control. Absolutely. You know that was visiting. but. As I said on you there was there was a few others. And he was an older guy to Montjeu. I think back then he was probably in his fifties. But the other two guys were younger like literally out of university that were at the school and. But you can tell. You could actually tell tell that those particular go is were that way inclined the young ones at a university is some people will actually undertake education and Korea pods that have predominantly existed children. So they'll go into a university intentionally becoming a schoolteacher or buy Straw, or a scout later or whatever. It is knowing that they're going to increase the opportunity to have access to their preference of of of of young person they want X. horrible thing is the system itself? No, we were talking about the Catholic Church. The system knows it yeah and Let's say there was a couple of complaints from teachers not from the students or the parents from the teachers saying. This is going on. What being new teacher at the school? I know this is going on. So all the all of the school would do would move them to another school is called passing the trash. What a good terminology for days actually a decent studies in regards to American sway would way of very, very similar situations to what was exposed in the Royal Commission in America. They called it passing the trash and what happened is that there was multiple cases with pedal falls would be known within a a school or Church, and what would happen he's rather than deal with. It and the embarrassment that came with it from the organizational, the institution that go, how do we move them on late smooth. You know don't Mister Johnny onto another school will give him a good reference. So he's off our hands and meanwhile they doing is passing it on to another school where they're going to be an other interconnected connected the marist brothers looked that. We've put another school here we can. We can just move your. And Connections unfortunately in institutions as you know where that can happen and sometimes it will be simply that. The person that whether it be the principal or whoever is making decision simply wants to just sort of sweep it under the carpet and hence the term pass the trash will just send it this way. So the they problem not Al's anymore hopefully everything just and a lot of the tournaments at Naievty as well as maybe they'll change we'll just pass them on hopefully they'll. Be dragged into if something happens track. Wash your hands of it sort of thing. So you know we talk about who they are and and we've mentioned teachers and church leaders you know is there is there like a definite type of person in terms of I know it's really hard to say but like it's usually someone who is in always in close contact. Close contact with the child or is that someone who who is usually nine to the family? Eight two pains on the situation it really depends on the situation..

"We are back in let me get Mr Tommy Taylor back on board okay Tom you're back here in yeah that's a perfect song flirt with disaster that's why down there Talladega you pretty much got a run in the front of the pack because you don't want to be stuck in the middle and even the the back and is it any place safe so I'd say get out front and stay out front at least you know I'll try to make the first pit stop where you got the leaders here or there and now it is usually done the big one happen like early in the race windows into the middle of factors my make a quick move around moving again you got twenty guys in the room the rate ever and our partners to three one half by about six or seven part time drivers will be in the field later today so you come out there tomorrow yeah there's nobody mistaken rags and so yeah you don't mean the little pocket about your green or that all of their doing so and so in a lot of these guys the race there either in the truck series and Xfinity series totally different animal than the Cup series so even though you've been on the track in a different series that still not prime is right about the World Cup series so yep hours later this afternoon Hey let me get Matthew Matthew has a quick a question for you Matthew wrong with Mr Tommy Taylor all well good morning Mister Johnny how are you I'm doing fine may be worth thank you for calling me or let me talk to you on the call with your questions are but I was wondering journey now I know you and Dave were talking about but nobody I W. one need to go down to the all star race your add up stole and yeah what and I was wondering would you have a a John jobs here and you are Burke Wednesday con jobs will get to sit with you the way they want to write your code to post but the great question might be what I been told the the viability of tickets for anybody and everybody is going to be pretty tight and NASCAR's it'll be really title again the social distancing and everything with the with the back and then neck so I don't I'm not probably can't posted such a short notice we got this that's what the month that'll be what three weeks in itself yeah probably given away tickets for the September on September right yeah yes I would say all all right I'm fairly certain I can get a give away tickets for those reasons number one demanded by quarters from number two yeah it's just so close no giveaway yeah yeah yeah yeah we can't we will worry about that but thanks for the question Matthew but Hey Tommy Willis switch gears because yeah what do you think's going on with the MLB I mean it seems like it's less and less of a chance mostly with the latest thing with some guys with the the Phillies or something they they tested positive but I I don't even know if there's going to be any real season at all now because the money thing is definitely the big denominator and plus now you know the union wants you know a year of service granted period and then that would cost the owners I don't know I've heard three hundred to six hundred billion right there in so I don't know what what's your insight on what's going on well related major league baseball will not counter the union there goes to sixty game offer but not the day to big breaking news which is not good enough regular baseball players association and the life of I wanted to go back to work in Waco outbreaks of the training facility down in Florida some of the places been temporarily closed the mobile to the port of positive tests on products so they're not able to vote on our what kind of happened by acting in the spring training camps of temporarily closed the call they'll break apparently down the border sure no it's not perfect for breeding and the number of cases of the positive mothers I'm reading are a symptomatic symptomatic so right a lot of a lot of we know they've got a few other testing more often so I think that constitutes one is more numbers going up the coast and I get written up I'm not a doctor but I know the testing Walton so for that reason you know they have kind of shelter thing but all of a sudden the novel about double play so it's kind of a holding pattern do you like college football well a few players of an isolated campus take the time to spend four ball workout for fourteen days twenty three Clemson players tested positive so you know everybody kind of looking around going all right what women do not we will handle this so I hope we don't shut things down I don't know about that great but the right kind of the look and see what I can original question the the players are not going to vote on the where they're going to go back to playing so let's see what happens with that breakdown of portable training camp so thank you what black and holding pattern whether one player not allowing willow to look cool okay the boat and the and I don't know I don't know who to turn to get well I'll tell you I mean how I don't know how anybody could prevent anything gray don't matter what type of precautions you have because I mean just that step back and think about it take take away the China flew tag off of there just talk about the regular flu what the hell do you do you know in normal times you know worried about the regular flu you know people get it they get sick for four five days in your your back up and running infirmary thing I've been hearing most people they don't even realize that they have this crazy chinaman's flew and so they could be tested positive like you say and and then you know don't even have any symptoms of nothing wrong with them and maybe they're good to go on for five days but I don't know why you know that Dr oz in hand he's had a lot of the experts out there they said that there's a medicine they can get rid of it and for five days I mean the medicine that I've gotten newspaper stories a cost like thirty seven cents a pill because it's generic it's been around for a long time but I don't see why these teams will have plenty of medicines like anything you catch the flu okay here's what we're going to give you a you know take this for five days you should be good to go then get tested and go from there I mean not that big about I think the only approach for all the sports college football the NFL NBA or whatever otherwise it's going to be every time you turn around you know some some Joe blow test positive then what you shut everything down how to how you play any sports.

Still playing animal crossing but did have a chance to play a couple of other games. What other Games that you play? I'll let me tell you you tell you well after hearing Alex talk about in our last episode and then also seeing dink and most of my other active friends and thinks discord. I decided to finally pick a grand blue versus Pretty interesting I mean. It's it's a really beautiful game. That's the art is breath. I'm just trying to get used to them mechanics trying to pick character any game so far you could say kind of similar to you had to compare to a pretty much on its own. So it's not I would say it's not as fast as their usual stuff. Flight guilty gear ablaze. I think it's a little bit slightly closer to persona little bit. I would say probably the closest I could probably find a comparison to real interjecting. You probably know you're fighting game and is it true that Blah's blue or you know how we kind of like say either way or whatever. Isn't it true that it's actually supposed to be blazed blue? But it's like one of those hilarious Japanese lull misspellings that Kinda like because William power going through a few different ones. Where there's just hilariously misspell English. Japanese words where they kind of just shrug and say fuck it and move on with it. So isn't it. Is this supposed. You pronounce blazed right. Technically they in Japan is brave new. So yeah so. It does seem like it's supposed to be and it's just they just emitted. I'M GONNA try to Zillion tirelessly you talk about a lot of hilarious. Japanese lull spellings of stuff. This is an easy or has an extra are for some reason or yeah no English word that spelled wrong and there's Z in it totally exist in their vocabulary right and they say it just lays reason. Yeah they've yeah they just don't pronounce it going back to the blue. Yeah I'd say the one thing that's really annoying. Is that to play online. Even even if it's just a join of friends around you have to do these initial rank matches. Oh so it's real dumb because you just play in ai for like three or four matches and then you have to play against some random guy. Oh God has like a fucking prerequisite has really fucking annoying. Sounds bad yeah like I just wanted to jump in there so that a friend could just kind of show me you know have game works and but your got. How long did I'd probably take? Even I mean yeah. It was like a few minutes but it'll still really still annoying. Yeah it's almost like Tex Rosen. But we'll get to that in a second so I kinda of wish that wasn't in there but otherwise okay Mentioned I'm still trying to find a main in the other game. I got the play was one step from Eden. There you go. I'M GONNA go with because I'm a big sixty four coffey so keep going but I will be one step from thought about that so what I guess. It's an Indie game. It is presented by humble bundle. It's coming up that graphic that pixel graphic going on aesthetic and graphically it looks nice. It The one thing that caught my eye to it is that it pretty much has a system very similar. An inspired by mega man battle network Which I played the foreclosed but pretty fun series and the controls are smooth and it plays fine however some of the negatives that I have about it is I kind of have this thing. Where sometimes with a game I I sometimes feel. I need to know what the story or the purpose of playing is and this game doesn't do that. Y- just starts and you pick your character and you have your really small deck of cards to play and you earn new cards to use. But it's all random orangey essentially so that's another thing that I kinda don't like because in battle network. You could buy a few cards or battleships. They were enemies. Drop them but in this game. It seemed like it's all random and it looks like you. Just try to successfully reach. I Guess Eden Through One playthrough. I guess it really doesn't run at a kiss. It was it. I always ask screen shots of it. What I was initially like. Check it out. Does it move it like sixty frames? Thirty frames game. Does it have like a really silky. Smooth look or is it kind of jagged. My eyes cannot judge things it plays fine. I haven't noticed any You know frame drops or anything like that. There is a mechanic. I think it's called flow but there are things that happened in the game. Were time will kinda slow down. Yeah but otherwise. Yeah it doesn't feel like there's any frame drops. Yeah so it plays really nice. It's just I don't know what the purpose of the game is released in the early confusing. Yeah and then there's multiple characters and then you fight them and it's like why are you fighting each other? Yeah some yeah. It seems really confusing. Yeah so that's my main gripe about it and the fact that the the cards get your Dak seems random not really a rhyme or reason. Yeah random is yeah yeah so I mean twenty dollars. No wait wasn't nobody was the right. Was it okay? You're fine I would probably get cheaper. Okay Fair enough area now I mean twenty is still fine but right right right I wanna cut in but I did you say about that right. That's fine otherwise I think that's the majority of yeah so Being the very smart fiscally responsible person I am. Obviously I just picked up animal crossing last week. I also bought once from Eden Chintzy. I ended the deaths loss. Fear on Inaki and I answered soon so I have six games in two weeks that I bought that I let me put it that way. Everything I just named after animal crossing is like well. I don't know about once every meeting in the guy getting the Tokyo the Tokyo Rpg collection. That I can pick up last year. And that's like a hundred sixty eight six and twenty two hundred forty hours right there worth a game that I picked up so I got a lot of work cut out for me so I'll eventually get to that probably not Obviously obviously to play a lot of animal crossing put up my video because as several of my friends who come to me for advice on. Should I get this game? What do you think about this game so on and so forth? This is the game where I really have had a hard time. Basically the verdict of my video should still check out remember. Try to remember below basically. I can't recommend it. It's a game that I really like to that. I just can't tell people to go out and buy usually I very much. Everyone knows fanatical about the games. I do like Crossings definitely one. That I've been playing a lot but for all the people who've DMZ me and said should I get it all told them grain of salt like I like it can't say you will Because that did happen with a friend of mine someone did buy it because I hype it up before it came out and I like it and I can't blame them because there isn't a game for everybody. Very is a very niche game. That as we remember the last podcast as I suffered to stumble through in my video and as I asked to friends in person to do still to this day. No one can explain. Exactly what animal crossing is. That's what makes it so hard to sell is what is it. It's again going into that loop but there's that so basically it can recommend it but it is a lot of fun over We do have animal crossing news in the cast later on so stick around for that Imagining faith like holding animal crossing. Yeah what is it exactly so it already use that for my Bloomberg Anti Propaganda Video? I probably would have. I guess it's not too late to try it again. Maybe not looked at the Bloomberg radio. Yeah right so the Ninja Nintendo Indo. The nintendo direct mini. Was this past week. So I checked it out and the other one of the only one who watched it probably thing so yeah okay well as the news curator red highlights. Yeah as curator of course if anyone should have I should have. And that's why we get this gathering so I can get you guys all caught up. So here's what happened with a little bit of my opinion in each one in order of what was announced We had Zena Blade chronicles definitive edition coming to join the articles to which is already on the system. So you're GONNA have that a lot of awkward British voice acting. It's really bad but the game itself is good for those who didn't play on the we believe it was originally on the we think anyway so for League play it. It's a good story great. Rpg said really really really really bad Berge was acting. I think it's really British. People I think Americans doing British voices. It was really like Schuch shook. I'll know about the blade. It's the battle of the blade is like shut the fuck up pretty pretty stove feeling at the FBI. Exactly Bioshock election coming to switch. There's good Games in the bioshock collection. Anyone should know what I mean by that fucking borderlands legendary collection is also coming to these switch which everybody excited for. It's the good ones it's borderlands one into with all the D. L. C. Plus the telltale one which. I don't know who has the right to them anymore. It's in there so yeah good collection. I actually pretty stoked for it because I do like borderlines especially too. I might just give out of play one again because one really doesn't didn't age well but like if you guys picked up borderlands and we had like a team going I would be down to play borderlands two on switch with. Y'All like that is something. I would do so we'll see if other people I know. Pick it up. I'm going to pick it up for sure. That's a pretty exciting I usually play the MIC. The Macro Lancer. So it's all good. X Com to the full collection is coming to switches. Well for those who haven't played it. You Know Strategy Whatever Mario vs rapids is like that and you gears of are a strategy game which we're GonNa talk about late as usual tactics like that is a lot of fun. So ex-con coming to switch as well marvel ultimate alliance three blog orders getting an expansion pass because why that game sucks which is a real shame. Ultimate Alliance. Three was probably one of my most anticipated games or switch. It's so bad it's so bad as a bunch of fucking NBC ISSUES. Like your teammates if you are playing with. Friends are the biggest bumbling idiots probably the worst case of it since the Platinum Games Ninja Turtle game which the season that are really dumb. So keep blocking you. They'll keep getting killed us. Running an enemy fire and dying. The enemy themselves are really inconsistent. Where you'll go against like doom and kill him problem but like generic thud man takes.

"So you're O'Connor welcome to forecasting KRILL Anti Jason. So happy to be. I'm excited. Davir Peterson actor. Yes he is. I've seen you in two plays people I've seen in more than one play in my life. One of them over it does it. Does it speak your feelings about theater at all although if you ask my wife? That's what I was elected. Both of the place I saw you end. She would probably say that. It does speak my attitude towards theater but luckily the two things I saw you in were excellent and you were excellent in them. You're a very good actor you've been on TV shows. You've been in movies. You were recently in Hustler's that's true. But when I asked you what your defining movie was you said the outsiders Francis Ford Coppola and Seo. Hinton's the outsiders which I. I just laughed because knowing you I was like of course like get the leather jacket. And some hair grease and you were all in. Yeah so how did you encounter this film? Tell me a little bit first of all about your your upbringing. How you grew up twenty miles directly west of us a multi everything. Suburb of New Jersey Probably middle class to upper middle class. ascended my dad was in construction and they didn't know what getting HBO was going to mean for the children for the children. And how many siblings did you have? One of each very lucky. I have a younger sister and Irish twin Eighteen months younger and I have an older brother Three years older. So who with whom I with my Confronted the outsiders. I was trying to figure out last night. Maybe nine ten freaking young okay pretty young. So it's sort of an older sibling introduction to this movie I feel S- right and it did you see it on cable. Yes and in privacy. My point was that my parents didn't know we were watching. Well I don't think it's a what is it rated? Pg Yeah so that's fair. I guess but we watch other stuff too like my eight year. Old and was puttering around last night. When I was watching this to get ready for the podcast and I was like I couldn't remember. Is there anything in this it actually ironically? Greece is more troublesome to watch with children than this sexually. Greece has a lot of like repy jokey trying to get over stuff on women. That doesn't really stand quite well this day and age TESCO time. I guess for me last night watching watching it was more that how sad how sad it is at the end is that that's really the thing and that's what we gotta do. So you were nine ten. I saw this in theaters in nineteen eighty three. When I was I think thirteen fourteen years old right in the sweet spot demo while I should say the original streets by Demo is probably if you're a thirteen or fourteen year old girl. This movie is engineered for you right As my wife Amanda said I said what is it that you like about this movie and she said all those cute cute boys. I had a crush on every one of them. Not My personal experience of the movie. May maybe it was yours. I don't know right now. I want you cute redhead but did lane gorgeous. Yeah but for us for me. I mean when I plugged into. Is that that sense of. Just how heavy you think life is thirteen or fourteen or nine or a ten year old boy. Do you think this film was melodrama. It's a question I have for you to your point. Yes definitely I mean it's over the top it's emotional pitch tone operatic. Couple had a good quote. Actually he said that. It was originally conceived as gone with the wind for teenagers. Perfect and that really is sort of emotional. Tenor of the movie right. It's overwrought. It's everything show heartfelt. I mean it's that you know. So what did you respond to? When you saw the coolness I mean okay did I mean dally. You know so early for you on legal man Matt Dally and Johnny I think were the WHO. I- interesting was most focused on. I was thinking we'll wind up. Pony Pony boy. The leading men ness of it. That almost like he's your your him more than you realize as you take yourself through the store when I step out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house had only two things on my mind on the and a ride home. Prices aimed Mister Johnny Valley. Yeah I think for for boys for men watching it. There's obviously like there's so many male characters that there's somebody that you can see yourself in if you're a sort of rambunctious wise ass you're going to be the Emilio Estevez character right. I don't know who would be the Tom Cruise character. He's the one person I feel is a little bit miscast in this movie. I don't know if you felt that no. I felt that that was an early example of him getting to do what he may have been capable of doing more of later. Editing not been so movie start and then streamline down the line yeah I think he does a great job in it really. Yeah Okay Yeah. I think once you get the idea that it's Tom Cruise NewsWatch this guy. The accent is he nails. He's kind of weird. I like it why should I be? Hero shoddy fear. He doesn't quite nail the accent. But I mean one of the things you have to give the movie. Everybody's fifteen sixteen fourteen except for Patrick swayze. Who's great forty thousand? Five hundred twenty nine was he thinks. Oh Oh Twenty. Five or twenty nine but everyone else in their teens. And so it's it's. It's asking a lot to have what I think we would expect in terms of nuanced performances in film from people who are so young craft. Except in a couple of instances where you have someone who's so fully himself in like a Matt Dillon for example as doing such a thing. Yeah but even that like it's amazing. Coppola asks them to do and let them do. And let's be in the film that you buy it because there's a washing unless there's several examples of doing quote marks. The boys like crying shares no moisture anywhere to be found right and they're and they're allowed to kind of go through that thing and you know what you're with it you're you're so into earliest. I'm with you so into the circumstances that you Kinda roll it sheriff. Well let's watch a little of the famous scene from the drive. In where see Thomas Sowell? Matt Dillon Ralph Macho. Diane Lane are in the bleacher section of the drive in not in a vehicle. She has fled the vehicle of her show she boyfriend get your feet off my chair. Shut your trap. Who's GonNa make your boyfriend liberal on? Doubt Jail. Orson sure whatever you say and I'll call the cops. Oh my got me scared to death. What am I what am I gonNA do now? Pony s-curves making we shake Salinas alone. You'll nice and leave us alone. Interest June Coca Cola seven. She's with her friend who we never. Unfortunately do we ever hear from her again? She's wonderful we did. She's great actually some Info on her. So Michelle May. Rank is the actor. Who Is Diane? Lane's best friend in the movie every brief career. She's doing the podcast. You look at a lot of MTV pages and you get to recognize. There are certain certain types of acting careers. She has a very specific one. She was active only for five years and then got out of the business. Sure but in five years I three movies outsiders valley girl revenge of the nerds and then real genius. A movie fans here on the podcast here. Remember I had this live with me. I'm here just let last night. Yes something to do with my hands. I hope about this is where. I'm pretty sure I have a brother and I use them for size and in person and have pretty good. I for that sort of thing so I just went ahead and made you one because I was up or you ping. Yeah I never sleep. I don't know what had adrover nuts. I mean really nuts to take away in an ambulance and everything. But she's okay now but she had to transfer Tunisia school. But our of that do be Michael but listen. If you ever need to talk any help saying just let me know. Because I'm just a cold down from you guys and I never sleep okay. So she got out of the business. C. B. podcast by all means and so as we're posting of course I wanted to you know Gee what better opportunity it's not a really a popsicle it's a smoothie on a stick but he was reading Johnny pop there is no there was no sane anyway now that you've taken some time away from me but anyway they there are several that look fun there's a smiley face with a tear I'm not quite sure I guess he's just having fun but laughing he's laughing so hard that he's doesn't are you know that's a sad here no it isn't there's the smiling then there's the left the LOL emoji is that's tears this is one tear this is wonder it's blue there's also a feast with glasses and mustache like the old Groucho Marx luck there's a ninja now here's what I'm sure you'd like to use a cockroach yeah that sounds lovely now and exactly when these will all be released is actually up to the individual vendor but they usually come out in the fall there's some very interesting ones that they've come up with issues is a trans gender flag emoji and Google has really led the way with more gender inclusive MO Jeez and there is an all gender option for the person in the veil there's a person in a tux see dole so all of these rather than it being a man or a woman so but Google and Microsoft are not the only ones that are allowed to do this I mean anyone can submit a proposal by K. so you get right on that popsicle one okay okay now is there one that you find that you will probably be using a lot in your word daily course I city cockroach yes you know is an elephant I can see that being you see all the teapot that's good yeah sneak I won't be using this ice skate I thought there was one there's a flip flop that's kind of fun if you're on a trip I suppose the stacking dolls no I don't see anything necessarily be using all the you could spend your emoji mine probably a heart all that you know what because you spend half your life just you let you finish writing that takes two seconds and then you can spend an hour trying to find the right emoji this is true of pain because let's get on to other things okay so this one I really like if you have been wanting to catch up on your you to play Lester the news while you're getting yourself ready in the morning and looking in the mirror capstone it has brought out a connected smart mere it's this it's caps smart mere it functions like an android tablet the analysis device last year at the consumer electronic show but it is now available for purchase it reminded me Halle berry used to be on a television show called extent and it was just that way in the future really yes and you'd be should be putting her make up on in the morning and she touched the mir and it would give her the weather and you know give her a grocery list and all of that so it works this isn't quite like a hole near you know across your vanity this is a mere that you attach it's a touch screen device hands free system and it works with Google assistant integration so you can have different services on it you can check your email your calendar what your commute to work is going to be like you can download your playlists and see them on there and it's all powered by the capstone connected hub so it's across a control center that is actually on the back of the mir and so it's easy to set up and and manage it can also recognize up to six different voices so your whole family can use it unless you've got ten people in your family then you have to look for.

"The first time I visited that my my reflex when I was young and you know this because we're buddies now I want to be a prosecutor that was Michael I'm gonna grow I'm gonna grow up in a manipulator bad guys that's where I came from and I have prosecutorial instincts of and when dad was arrested my first thought is what did you do what did you do that to get yourself into this mess I was so angry at him and and lasted for a while I mean it took me awhile before I started to pay attention to this case and see it in a different way but I went to go visit him at Ryker's island with my mom and my brother and my thoughts like what are you doing here we don't belong here this is also a big mistake and the one little spot though that popped up in my head that I am a decade of my life I'm packing in an unexpected way the one little spot was looking around in that room huge visitor center hundreds of people visiting their incarcerated loved ones looking around and I was like where are all of the white criminals does New York City not have any white criminals I didn't know what to do it then but it was there now what happened in my father's case remember the first day we went to court for his hearing I'm I didn't tell people at school why was missing school we go to court and it's the people versus the Shanghainese and you know just for the spelling thing to hear the people versus the Shanghainese it's like oh my god I thought we were the people I mean you know like my my mother you know who I I keep smile whenever I refer to her like she started the tenants association in our building because the slum lord was so bad and she like organized tenants to like petition for clean up so like get rid of the drug dealers who were selling the kids in the front of our building you know like we were the people like I learned nonviolent conflict resolution from a Quaker center for one of the oldest buildings and all the Americas when I was a teenager was just it was so weird to no longer be the people but that against us and the prosecutor basically made it sound like my family's business was a full out front for a drug cartel we're just laundering money for these people who sell to kids and shoot journalists that and restaurants in Jackson heights that's what we're doing that's how it sound the official charges money laundering and that an interesting thing happened fast forward a few months of hearings delays like to scheduling whatever whatever the prosecutors are offered a deal Mr Shah Hadi and his little brother my uncle who is also running the store Mr Shanina Fisher honey just take an eight month sentence in politics because Paul matter behind us well if we're just a front for cartel why are you offering an eight month sentence and here's the thing if they wanted to go to trial this is a very poorly understood part of the criminal justice system for anyone who's not been in it there's something called a trial penalty meaning if you exercise your right to trial because you want to be all the charges you will get penalized if convicted so instead of taking the eight months that they're offering you if convicted you'll get a decade maybe fifteen years of the penalty to very strong healthy which is why in most regions it's like ninety nine percent of people please okay that's just what people do statistically speaking because you know it most most people don't have the appetite or the resources for that kind of risk in their life you know that's a point that I think is really important the justice system it is not about innocence and guilt is about risk and reward just that is fundamentally what it is about so my father and my uncle did what everybody pretty much everybody in this room would do they took a plea they were suppose the survey but this is a very interesting detail even though we were front for the cartel the prosecutor agreed to let one man go in first do is eight months and come out and then let the other guy go and so that someone could always run our family business in a wooden falls crazy so day one your front for the cartel bleeding day we understand these are family mad and it's a family business and whatever so my uncle went in first he was supposed to do eight and a half months sorry excuse me eight months this was eight months he ended up serving two and a half years because of the New York state administrative error they just made a mistake what if that's how the system works so I got involved then I'm sorry yeah I would hold to you at that time in your yeah so I mean his prolonged at I ended up getting involved when I was nineteen well so basically we thought this was a short thing it be over but getting him long thing so I ended up actually writing to the judge in the case and I wrote directly to the judge I was by then a college student at the university of Chicago and I wrote directly to the judge because I was like the lawyer is hard fixing the problem the lawyers just keep showing up to court and not doing anything and no one files any paperwork and there is a man I'm related to the person who needs to get out so I rate the so the judge I explain the sort of that probably these terms like be idiocy of the week all health it ever and the judge responds he actually response it was amazing he ordered all of the lawyers to come into court he ordered all of them to clean up their mass and Mr sure honey my uncle Mister Johnny was must be returned home and dad reduce time be over well here's what happened everything south problem solved we're planning my uncle's homecoming party celebration thank god one chapter in the sun and then he goes missing for one two three and four days no idea where he is he is missing homecoming party is now a search party where's uncle written my father gives me a call and this to me is like that this moments in caps slates for me the turning points in my relationship with my father like on to give me a call and I by the way I am his baby girl with the really big mouth who he's like really worried on my god how she get a fair in this world like she's just like no one will accept her she's not marriageable like everything about her is off like my father would never have imagines that in America a woman could be paid for a mouth like this that was not Dallas he just thought the world he came from but this is America any way you know my father who sauce sort of may my kind of fiery spirit as as a liability and I didn't much care for him I mean he was the guy who just told me my skirts to shorter maturities to tighter you know whatever like I didn't I didn't bond with exactly he I was the first person he call to tell me that he was weeping I'd never heard my father cry before never before had he cried that at that I'd heard and he's like they took they took tycoon immigration to craft an immigration to growth on look what are you talking about is like for deportation they're taking him for deportation now to me this was really baffling because both my father and uncle had green cards they were lawful permanent right like the cards as lawful permanent resident and most of us were naturalized US citizens and I it by the way my name I. I now say it our C. R. station honey up until I was twenty I was already like I had that was my America you know we have Starbucks in house my American name RT but dad tells me for deportation and I'm like like a lecture currents through my entire being if you've ever had a moments where you felt your existence existentially threatened come in many ways it could be a sporting events it could be that you have a child and you see something happen to the child and you feel it they're in any number of ways read literally just feel that bolts go through your body and you're not sure what's going on but you feel your entire being needs to rally that's what happened and I told my father dad you were wrong this is a mistake uncle rested already to this time he did more than this time the judge said they shouldn't even go to jail you should even go to jail I mean like we had what we're good people I was done judging him I was like whatever we're good people this is a mistake and there's no double jeopardy in this country it's in the constitution there's no double jeopardy and I was wrong so my uncle was summarily deported to India where he had not lived since the fifties and that my father was you know going to be next that's that's what was that was what was that that's what the law fact.

"It because well if it would help fix the Giuliani problem was that the the thinking yes that's right that's correct very threads the needle between what is reasonable for Ukraine to do and if it resets the the negative perceptions held by Mister Johnny and then the president and then why not this is part of what you describe in your opening statement as your effort to when you see a problem to fix it is a thirty now investor Volker based on the September twenty fifth call the you were not able to fix it based on the transcripts that was released on the twenty fifth I can see now that they're a lot else going on that was about vice president Biden then I knew at the time and I mob the efforts that I was making were were clearly not in the context of what had already been discussed by the president July twenty fifth just for to say you were not able to fix the guiliani problem that's correct the stuff on it thank you ambassador Volker and Mister Morrison for your years of service and your professional expertise and leadership on national security issues and I want to particularly thank Mister Morrison for his great work on the house Armed Services Committee on which I serve I wanted to start with the July twenty fifth call between president trump and president salen ski Mister Morrison your on that call and there was no mention of withholding aid on the call correct that's correct and there was no quid pro quo correct correct no bribery correct no extortion ambassador Walter Voelker I presume you got a read out of the call is that correct very terse retail but yes in this tertiary read out of the call ambassador from the U. S. participants was there any reference to withholding aid no there was not any reference to bribery no there was not any reference to quid pro quo no there was not any reference to extortion no there was not and I presume you also got feedback from your Ukrainian counterparts as to how the call went did they mention the withholding of aid no they did not do they mention any quid pro quo no they did not and did they mention any bribery no they did not and in fact the day after the call you met with president salen ski this would be on July twenty six and in that meeting he made no mention of quid pro quo no he made no mention of withholding the aid he made no mention of bribery so the fact is the Ukrainians were not even aware of this hold on eight is that correct and in the coming weeks you were in touch with you Craney ins as part of your official duties and this included talking to Ukrainians over the phone in person on text and Ukrainians never brought up an investigation into the bite into is that correct that's correct they never brought up the withholding of the eight that's correct they never brought up quid pro quo or bribery let me bring up the eight they did bring that up after the political article appeared on that I'm going to get to that but until the political article and they did not bring it up and you said in your closed door deposition quote it never came up in conversation with them and I believe they had trusted me that they would have asked if that was really what they were worried about is that correct the district and as you pointed out the Ukrainians never even knew their foreign aid was on pause until the article was published in political in August that's correct so they didn't know during the call that's correct and in fact you had to correct chairmanship on this time line in the closed door deposition the chairman of this committee ask you quote when they became aware that military assistance was being withheld for a reason you couldn't explain no one could explain one day under even greater pressure to give the president what he asked for on the call and you answered ambassador Volker quote to my knowledge the news about a hold on security assistance did not get into Ukrainian government circles as indicated to me by the current foreign minister than diplomatic adviser until the end of August set your testimony this is an chairmanship also got the facts wrong again when he asked you this quote at the point they learned their aid was paused wouldn't they give then wouldn't that give them added urgency to meet the president's request on the bite ins and you answered ambassador Volker quote I think the U. cranium felt like they are going in the right direction and they had not done anything they had not done anything on an investigation and quote isn't it the case a **** Voelker at one point chairmanships said to you when you were truthfully testify in court ambassador you're making this much more complicated than it has to be and quote page one twenty seven from the depositions that correct I remember that but the truth is the facts are indeed not complicated and I'm going to close out with two questions for the both of you did you crane open investigation into the bite and miss Morrison not to my knowledge and a master lock or a not to my knowledge either did either of you ever have any evidence of quid pro quo is Marcin master vulgar I did not any evidence of bribery no ma'am no ma'am any evidence of treason no ma'am no evidence of trees value back Seoul thank you Mister Morrison then faster Bolton the security eight hold listed as carcinogens you testified that ambassador bold had a one on one meeting with president trump in late August related to Ukraine security assistance is that right Sir can you point to where I testified to that on page two sixty six you said ambassador Bolton had a one on one meeting with president trump in late August twenty nineteen but the president was not yet ready to approve the release of the assistance do you remember that to resist this is two twenty six yes to two sixty six and two sixty eight but I I'm asking you did that happen or did it not Sir I just want to be I want to be clear your dressing up okay Sir Isaac you testified to that what was the outcome of that meeting between ambassador Bolton president trump ambassador Bolton did not yet believe the president was ready to further assistance did ambassador bold inform you of any reason for the on going hold that stem from this meeting those are Mister Morrison do you consider yourself loyal to the president yes Sir and the president executes.
