"Multiple guy spikes in spin rate. So it's sort of put in the antenna. I thought he waited too long, by the way, I thought he was going to do that. It felt a little desperate to do it in the 6. As opposed to doing it in the fourth. Yeah. That was one of the things. No, I don't disagree. One of the things you look at this year, that's really interesting is the month by month offense, offense never took off in the middle of the summer, the way you'd expect it to, like slug went back down in August and I think there's a decent chance that the reason for that at least in part was some of the sticky stuff. I think the problem, what's hard about it is. Catching guys how you handle it, worrying that if you go hardcore after it, yeah, that you're going to bust some high profile guys, that type of thing. And I don't think that they have, I wonder how much interest they have in what that ends up looking like. Because I also don't know, this is one of the issues here. I don't know how much the fans care. No, but I think that people in baseball do care. Like I do think, I think that they want it. And I think they got to stop being posers about it. I think if they want to actually have a rule, then they need to frigging enforce it. Because that's what I would also got away from. I also would say this, it does, you can't run from this idea. Look at what we're doing next year, like the fundamental problems in the sport, it takes too long, the pace is slow and the ball is not in play now. And as far as the last thing is concerned, the ball not being in play enough. This ties directly to that. So in terms of the level of how entertaining the game is, you want the ball and play more. And the sticky stuff is not enhancing that. No, and I was like, because I've got two kids, I always draw the comparisons with that. That's like telling your kids if you don't do your homework or you don't take out the trash, then, you know, we're going to take away the video games for two days, right? I haven't had that conversation with Jake a hundred times. If you don't follow through on that, what's the point? Yeah. You can't do that. And that's where I feel like Major League Baseball has landed with the whole sticky stuff issue and they've essentially created this vacuum where now we're right back to where we were 18 months ago. Yeah, pretty close. Pretty close. Yeah. Well, it'll be interesting to see if there are any conversations that within Major League Baseball. I think if they actually are serious about enforcing it, they got to go the umpire that look guys, we're going to crack down on this and we need you guys to lead it and they need to tell the teams going into the series. We got to do it before. You got to do it before. Exactly. And have some of her Major League Baseball walk into the Clubhouse and say, guys, you know what? We don't like what we're seeing in the spin rates and we're coming for you. And so be ready and you're all unnoticed. Just like me as a dad telling him my son I was going to take away the MLB the show. I take away MLB the show. That's the only thing. That's the one he can't take away. That's why I feel like I've never really been away from you all summer because I hear your voice. All summer when Jake is playing that game. What's scary is the amount of people the dads that text me that or call and tell me that I hear your voice in my house and I'm like, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. All right, bob, thanks for doing this. You bet. Bleacher tweets, already buster bleacher tweets for a Tuesday, bleacher tweets are brought to you by Dr Pepper. It ain't college football season without the delicious taste of an ice cold Dr Pepper the one fans deserve mister jakey RS rights in. You've said you don't root for teams in the postseason, but how about managers who would you be happy to see when a championship out of the 8 managers left? I'm going to give you two. One would be Terry Frank Kona, the manager of the guardians, he went back to that franchise because of course his family through his dad, so many roots in how big would that be for the guardians if they were to win the World Series with the youngest demon baseball and have their first championship in many decades. And then Aaron Boone, just having worked with Boone on Sunday Night baseball. Having traveled around with them, it would be really cool for him to it would be cool to see him win a championship at some point during his time as a manager. Don't sleep on dusty baker, would probably put him at the top of my power rankings personally. Right. I think those are your boys. I get it, I get it. Well, and I worked with both on Sunday Night baseball. And I love dusty, too. You're a 100% right. I mean, any of those guys, that would be cool. You know, for dusty would be like the cherry on top of his Hall of Fame case. Exactly. And it would be like, put them in next summer if he were to win the World Series. Put them in tomorrow, dang it, he deserves to be there. Last one for today, Zach bees on at Zack B's on 22 rates and buster with ha seon Kim doing well for the Padres is he a valuable trade asset in 2023 when Tati's junior comes back. Nope, he's the padre shortstop on tatis junior comes back. I think they're going to move him to the outfield Fernando Tatís Jr.. You know, maybe it's right field, maybe it's left field. You know, there was we heard about that conversation that started before we, before the drug bust happened, and now I feel like the Padres are in a good position to basically say, dude, we're not going to have a conversation about where you're going to play. Just come back and play, you know? Just come back and play wherever we put you in the lineup. Does that make sense, Taylor? I don't think the whole thing. I don't think Fernando Tati's junior if you're getting a drug suspension is going to be in a position to push back if they ask them to move from shortstop to the outfield. And some shady motorcycle adventures as well. Right. It's a really interesting case where your best player and team basically has no input on what he's doing anymore because he's lost that trust in responsibility. It's very interesting to watch. All right. Well, that's it for bleacher tweets send him in while you're watching games everyone enjoy it. Exactly. And the reminder we're going to have podcasts every day. During the course of the playoffs, we're going to have Sarah Lang's and be joining us every day. And we got some surprises coming up for her. All right, that's it for today. My thanks to boo to Alex, to Sarah, to Jaime to Sarah and Taylor, have a great day, everybody.

"I've been asking that for ages now. Yeah, so what do you think? I mean, you know, I'm a man of many beverages, you know, a beer company would be great. You know, whisky or bourbon, I would it's gotta be moonshine. Moonshine up with it. Yeah, it needs to be named. I actually looked this up. There is a beverage that has the name bubba, so the bubba moonshine swank studios. Okay. Does that sound good? That works for me. I'll become a moonshine guy, no problem. Thanks for doing your research. Get all kinds of some truck would pick up truck would pull up. He'd have all kinds of preserved jars like pulled out clear stuff inside. You'd be sent for life. Oh yeah, we'll stack them up behind me in the studio here so they could get some promotion when we're on camera. Yeah, this is a great idea buster. Look at you. Next podcast, you'll have to have a nice crisp jar sitting next to you to sip on to promote. And I don't go over really well. With all people in my life, or moonshine in the morning. Right, and on top of that, that would mean that Sarah would have to jump in and take over the second half of every podcast. Yeah, we've got Taylor Sarah's taken over. I don't know, it might be more fun if Taylor does it. All right, we'll have to give that a whirl one of these days. Let's go to Atlanta, Ryan. He writes in if the off season results in musical shortstops and bogarts goes to the Dodgers and Trey Turner goes to the braves like buster believes where would be the most likely landing spots for dansby Swanson and Carlos Correa. While the other musical chairs that are involved there would be those for the Phillies, potentially, although Scott has done an 8 job at shortstop for them. And the other team being the Red Sox. So there are major teams that would be involved here. I think that if I had to change now based on what I've heard since I last said that, I got dansby going back to the braves, I got Trey Turner potentially going to the cubs, okay? I think they're ready to write a big check there, but at this point it's all a guessing game. And I do believe that Bogart to wind up with the Dodgers. Next up, Jack McGee at JM CG 7 5 one 7 rights in too early for dead or alive. The Orioles and the AO wild card in general, it's all. Look, I'm not Taylor. If anyone does dead or alive for the Orioles, it's gonna be you. I'm not declaring that it needs to come from an oil fan this year. Let's wait another week. I mean, they're on life support for sure. So we'll wait until we officially declare them dead. And Taylor, I've said this two or three times it's worth saying again, I don't understand why they just like, hey, we're in the race. I'm talking about the front office, not the player. But the front office basically said, yeah, we're in the race. This is awesome. And we're not going to add any. In fact, we're going to trade away two of our ten best players. I don't get it. It's frustrating. It's like they realized that they had a shot at the playoffs like a day after the trade deadline happened. And I mean, now the roster has been exposed for its weaknesses. And also that feeling of, wow, okay, that's really cool that the players have put us in position to make the playoffs, but that's not according to our timetable. Like, come on. The spreadsheets wouldn't allow a buster. Go for it. You're in position. You know, I don't know. I don't understand, you know? I'll say this. They got me to football season. I had something. There was interested in hopefully next year we make the right steps and make some good signings. You know, I got lots of thoughts on that, but it's a long off season. So we'll wait on all that. Let's go to my guy, max, levo wits, he writes in any chance that pool holes challenges Babe Ruth as himbo predicted. No. No, he'd have to hit 17 home runs down the stretch. No, he's not, and we can't have him be right. You know, he's already had a good year as it is, becoming a dad, two baby girls, right? We can't also have on top of that that incredible prediction he made before the season started that we greatly mocked him for. Dang it. Let's go to mister jakey RS, he writes in, just came back from Dave Stewart's Jersey retirement in Oakland thinking about his four 20 game winning seasons. Who is the best pitcher to never win the Cy Young award and don't say. Don't say it. He said don't say it buster. Well, Cy Young. Okay, that's the obvious answer. Second. Best pitcher never to win the Cy Young award. Okay, how about Walter Johnson? Dang it, buster. All right, well that's before the cyan award was bestowed. Let's make that clear to everybody. But Walter Johnson probably was the best pitcher. He's to me, you know, the greatest picture of all time. Shout out Walter Johnson high school, Tim Kirchner's Alma mater. And that's it for bleacher tweets. Send them in as we're watching games, everyone. That's it for today. My thanks to daddy, Tim, to share it, to Sarah, to Taylor, have a great day, everybody. Thanks for listening. Stay safe and remember, hating inequality based on skin color is something we need to fight against every single day. We'll have another podcast on Wednesday.

"He writes in with 25 games still to play. Do you find it disappointing that 30% of Major League Baseball teams are officially eliminated from playoff contention? Is there too big a gap between the really good and really bad teams? Yeah, there is. And that's why I hate tanking. You know, Taylor among your brethren oriole fans, you know, when I said that what the earls are doing was bad for baseball. They totally misconstrued. What I was saying, I'm not saying that the Orioles players are bad for baseball and saying the practice of tanking stinks. And so you have all these teams this year who are basically like, you know what? We're gonna cut our payroll to nothing. We're not even gonna try to contend. And here we are with three weeks ago in the season, and you have teams that are at most of the teams are out. At stinks, it's not good for baseball when you have teams designing failure. That's what we get with the standings right now. Say it with your chest buster, I love it. Mister jakey RS at mister J KRS writes in, okay, yes, the a's should be derided for their small payroll, but they are steadily calling up their prospects and playing youngsters. What's the difference between tanking and being at the start of a rebuilding process, which is a new? Yeah, so for years, Oakland would turn over its roster, you know, trade guys like Tim Hudson and Mark Mulder, flip their players, Josh Donaldson and they would bounce back quickly. So they, let's say, win a playoff spot, then make some trades, and then like a year later, two years later, they're back in the playoffs. That's different than tanking. We know that because Taylor, do you know the last time that the Oakland franchise lost a hundred games, it's been a while, the 90s? How about 1979? Oakland consistently underbelly bean really worked to try to stay in contention to try to get guys to play. I would say what they're doing this year is tanking. For the first time in years and years and years and that was an ownership decision. I don't put that on the front office. All right, let's go to Mitchell at tigers of Detroit. He writes in with the top two AL Cy Young contenders, sidelined, is it possible that Garrett Cole could contend for the award, he leads the ale and innings pitched and strikeouts. Yeah, but I think it would be down ballot. I would take Alec mano over Garrett Cole right now. My boss, Pete, Gianna seni. He said yesterday, I'm just happy when Garrett Cole gets through an outing without urinating himself on the mound. So that's really hard. That was harsh. No sign at all. You're cold and excellent pitcher. He's in all star. Come on. That's a little deep. All right, last one for the week, Reggie, baseball, Yoda weather writes in buster with the shift rule I'm concerned about the reference of four players on the infield, no four man outfield and worse. No 5 man infield a common defensive move late in games with a winning run on third and less than two outs, love the pitch clock and limit on pick offs. Yeah, red, do you and I are in the same page in that. Carl and I disagree, Carl disagrees with you and I on that. I absolutely hope that they allow teams to use a format or four man outfield in a 5 man infield in specific situations. I don't think 5 man infield should be allowed before the 9th inning, but yeah, at some point, I love that strategy when there's like bases loaded and nobody out and you have a guy put the ball in the ground. Already, that does it for bleacher tweets for the week. Hashtag bleacher tweets on Twitter while you're watching games, check out Sunday Night baseball instead of that football stuff. I know I didn't hype any of that stuff up earlier, so watch that and we'll talk to you next week. All right, that's it for today. That's it for this week. My thanks to Carl Michael Sarah and Taylor, have a great day everybody. Thanks for listening. And remember, Hayden inequality based on skin color or something, we need to fight against every single day. Yeah, wrap it in a podcast. Yeah, to laugh, you missed it, didn't you? August 18th. Constant elevation causes expansion. I got gold by the name of Drake. Yes, sir. You got Cardi B and finally. Light skinned germaine. And we write in the pit man with nip hustle. What's up? And you seem to be getting better. I'm like, that's what's supposed to happen. Perfect off podcast. Lucid and follow us on Apple podcasts, Spotify, Amazon music. Or wherever you get your podcasts.

"Already buster bleacher tweets for a Thursday, first up Elizabeth Hart at E Hart tweets writes in why are you so convinced that Aaron judge is the AL MVP even if he hits 60 plus home runs ohtani is pitching better this year than last and continuing to do unspeakable things to baseballs with his bat. Elizabeth, I'm not early in the week. It's Tim kirchen who's saying is the MVP. Dave Shaw and field saying he's the MVP. I haven't been on record saying that yet. Taylor, back me up. That is true. You are just facilitating the dialog. I can understand, you know, because Aaron judge he's kind of the first person that we talk about on the pod when we're talking about the ALM VP. But yes, buster. Buster has been non committal. I can vouch for that. Yep. I've been totally gutless so far in this call. I mentioned Dave. I'm glad I don't have that MVP boat, 'cause that would be really hard for the reasons Elizabeth that you just laid out. Direct quote from buster only what buster only said there. David at dog father, David dog father, writes, and how about some love for the team with the second best record in the game as a 50 plus year mets fan. This team is a pleasure to watch solid and professional on and off the field. Yeah, they've been fun to watch. That's for sure. Edwin Diaz, we had a long conversation about him the other day and whether or not he should be the Cy Young award winner. Just one element of a great team. Sprayed cheese and spreadsheets are friend kayaking Smith writes in so buster with Grissom here and shoemaker. Sorry if I botched that right behind him, how do you see this affecting contract talks with your vandy man dansby? Who's infield is Swanson patrolling next year, Atlanta, or another? Boy. You know, and I know dansby and as you mentioned, you know, both want the same school. And he hasn't asked me this directly, you know, my thoughts on it, but what I would tell him tell him is that, look, your friend Freddie Freeman was in a very similar situation that you are. If you want to stay, then you need to be proactive in these conversations because we talked about how there are a lot of other shortstops who are going to be out on the market and they've got other guys to mine at least. And I don't think the braves because this is a great window for them to compete for championships on a yearly basis. I don't think they'll go with a rookie. It shortstop, but you know what? If they pivoted to trade Turner in the off season, that wouldn't shock me if they pivoted to and Xander bogarts is not the same caliber defensive shortstop. The dansby is. But they're carless Correa, somebody. The guy I really wonder about if the braves will target in the off seasons trade Turner. That would be interesting. Mister jakey RS is going to shut it down for the week. He writes in, I get that reporters have the right and the duty to ask important questions. I also get that many people want to celebrate on field greatness without being bogged down by controversy or scandal. How do you think rose should have handled that moment? Differently. I think answering a question from Alex Coffey and referring to his babe probably not a good way to go. If you don't want to address the whole question about the Phillies decision to bring you back to the ballpark, then you should just refer to the Phillies because ultimately it is their decision on whether or not to bring them back the park despite that history. Just say, you know what? It's not my choice. You should contact the Phillies and ask them that question. Something. Something different, but to be demeaning that way, to be sexist in that way. It was ridiculous. Literally anything but what he did. That was terrible. And we didn't even play the moments when he's live on air and he's dropping all kinds of stuff that had to be bleeped out. He's a mess. Older gentlemen, too, which, you know, the filter is gone. Yes, totally gone. Maybe rethink putting a microphone in front of him in Philadelphia Phillies that could be something. You want to remember the grandma in the movie wedding crashers? Yes. You got the table just saying offensive things. That's kind of where we are with P rose at this point. All right, what a way to shut the podcast out. Great week, everyone. We're going to be back at it next week. Buster going on vacation. So we'll have some guest hosts, which is, you know, I'll miss you buster for sure, but you definitely need and deserve the time off. You're the hardest working guy I know. So enjoy it. Okay. And of course some insecure enough when you say you need time off, I'm like, what? What are you talking about anyway? All right, that's it for today. That's it for this week, my thanks to Carl himbo Jess Sarah and Taylor, have a great day, everybody.

"Buster, bleacher tweets for a Tuesday PK Steinberg is up first, he writes into a value readers, believe that tatis junior's long recovery from the wrist fracture will have the added benefit of healing up his wonky shoulder, same thing with Bryce Harper and his elbow. Yeah, I'm buying it with Bryce Harper I'm not buying it with Fernando Tati's junior. I'm not going to pretend I'm a doctor, but I've talked to enough people giving asking the opinion about Tati's junior shoulder and basically what they say is is that it's one of those situations where it's workable until it's not until he dives and strains it or he takes a weird swing or something, but the fact is is that his shoulders not fixed. And if you're the Padres, you just crossing your fingers, hope that he can, you know, when he gets back to the lineup that he's going to be okay. AJ preller definitely crossing his fingers, Andrew desalvo, desalvo, excuse me at desalvo. Wants to know if the Padres don't make the playoffs. This year is AJ preller. Is he going to be back not having tatis junior for the most of the season? Is that going to give him another year? It's not far fetched that they collapse two years in a row. Yeah, I don't think he's close to being fired at any point. I don't think he's on edge. I know the Padres have been trying for the playoffs. They've been able to do it. But he just signed an extension, I believe, last year. So at the Peter decide, there doesn't strike me as being, you know, the George Steinbrenner type is just going to fire somebody after a disappointing season. Let's face it. Everybody in baseball thought that the Padres getting Juan Soto was going to be difference making. They made a bunch of deals and I think everyone was applauding around the industry that they were aggressive and trying to make a playoffs. Pretty invested in this plan. Would be a little bit dicey to get rid of the captain of it. Mister jakey RS writes in, is it safe to say that the Yankees have gone from being a historically great team to being the fourth best team in Major League Baseball this year and the second best team in their own city. He adds, this is one of the most satisfying bleacher tweets he has written to us. No, I don't know. I think they're clearly, they weren't as good as what their pace was early, which is why I was trying to push a shot aside all the comparisons to some of the all time great teams. And on the other hand, they're not as bad as what they've been lately. They're better than that. Archie tatis junior at win for grin, win writes an endear baseball tonight crew. What do you say we skip the Sunday Night baseball recap? Heck, we don't even need to talk about any of that series. There are a lot more intriguing stories from the weekend. Thanks, a sad Padres fans. Sorry. Oh, boy. And sorry, I had to bring up what happened on Monday that the sad weekend bled over into this week. That's for sure. Tough break. Taylor Welch, Taylor gang writes in, did the Phillies prove anything this weekend against Washington or is there best test of being a playoff team, going to come against the mets and braves the rest of the season? Yeah, I think generally speaking, because the mets and braves are better than Washington, but the Phillies have been playing well. I think that what, since June 1st, they're like 20 and 11, they're offense is taken off. They're going to embrace Harper back. There's no doubt. It's been a different team since they change managers at the time they made that change. And I talked about how I thought it was wrong. You can't blame Joe Girardi for the bad defense, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Bottom line is they play better since rob Thompson stepped into that job and the Blue Jays have played better since John Snyder took over his manager. Those wins over the Nats all count the same. Mitchell black at MC black 24 sometimes buster, the best deadline moves aren't the players you acquire, but the ones that return, but who could have predicted this resurgence from Paul Deon. The Saint Louis Cardinals did. You know, they bet on them, center of the minor leagues, hope that he would work some stuff out. And you know, people ask me all the time about, you know, who do you root for? What team do you root for? And I always say I wrote for a good story and good stuff to have and a good people and to see Paul the young pick himself up the way that he has after that terrible start and go down to the minor leagues and put the work in, that's pretty impressive. Last one for today, Colin Davis at official C Davis 6 rights and Saturday. Games across Major League Baseball drew almost 600,000 fans, the cardinal said record attendance at Busch stadium is our game growing or simply returning to pre-pandemic levels would love to hear your thoughts. I think it's returning to pre-pandemic levels. It's funny I was looking at attendance figures the other day and a lot of teams have seen an increase of course because of the fact that a lot of fans weren't going back to the ballpark in 2021. It still feels like that there's room for growth. You know, that you don't really see this concerted effort within the sport to promote Otani to promote the best young guys is Soto or somebody like that. Soda was so much fun on Sunday Night. Like he did such a great job and it's amazing to me that more people don't know about him and how great he is. You can't blame Joe Girardi for the bad defense, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Bottom line is they play better since rob Thompson stepped into that job. And the Blue Jays have played better since judge Snyder took over his manager. Those wins over the Nats all count the same. Mitchell black at MC black 24 sometimes buster, the best deadline moves aren't the players you acquire, but the ones that return, but who could have predicted this resurgence from Paul de Jong. The Saint Louis Cardinals did. You know, they bet on them, center of the minor leagues. I hope that he would work some stuff out. And, you know, people ask me all the time about, you know, who do you root for? What team do you root for? And I always say I wrote for good stories and good stuff to have and the good people and to see Paul the young pick himself up the way that he has after that terrible start and go down to the minor leagues and put the work in, that's pretty impressive. Last one for today, Colin Davis, at official C Davis 6 rates and Saturday games across Major League Baseball drew almost 600,000 fans, the cardinals that are record attendance at Busch stadium is our game growing or simply returning to pre-pandemic levels would love to hear your thoughts. I think it's returning to pre-pandemic levels. It's funny. I was looking at attendance figures the other day. And a lot of teams have seen an increase of course because of the fact that a lot of fans weren't going back to the ballpark in 2021. "One comes from Katie Casey. Do you have a favorite behind the scenes story about Vin Scully? I mentioned to Carl that I was afraid of him and I avoided him and it wasn't the first time I actually spoke with him was actually in his last year broadcasting. We had him on the podcast and that was a great conversation, but I was so nervous going into that. I might, I think Sarah next week we got to play some of that or play that interview that we did with Ben. That was a lot of fun. Oh, absolutely. I mean, it was so touching to see everybody's tributes on Twitter. I mean, I only can imagine how great of a man he was not knowing him personally, but it seems like he touched the lives of so many people. The next one comes from mister jakey RS, which players today do you think will end up on their team's Mount Rushmore? Trout, Altuve, Vlad junior, tatis junior, anyone else, potentially Soto? Wow. That is a broad question. So it's hard to project soda to be on the Padres Mount Rushmore because we don't have to know how long he's going to be there, right? It might be just two and a half years. Try out, of course. There's no doubt about that because he's going to finish his career consider to be one of the best players of all time. Altuve, trying to think is you got Craig biggio, and he got Jeff Bagwell who were Hall of Famers, you know, Roger Clemens had some good years there, but he wasn't there that long. Trying to think of Larry jerker, you know, was a good pitcher for them, and he was a broadcaster for them. He might be on that thing. Yeah, I think he's got a real shot. Who would be on your Mount Rushmore? Oh my God, Sierra, you can't drop that one. Throw it in one. From at Sarah Kate's sports. Okay, the last one from at Nicholas Ross, y'all forgot the twins on the trade deadline pod, despite them having the busiest deadline ever, thoughts on them adding Lopez from Taylor's O's. Yeah, I saw a fan graft said that they actually acquired the most production leading up the deadline. They got a lot of credit for that. We talked on the show the other day about how they did a lot and the guardians and the White Sox basically did nothing. Right? It felt like the teams in central in the both the national league and the American League didn't do a lot because there's not a lot of pressure. Like there are not a lot of big buyers on there. So yeah, the twins were favorites leading the division going into the trade deadline and I think now clearly the favorites to win going forward. All right, that's it for bleacher tweets. Be sure to send your questions using hashtag bleacher tweets and if you like listening to our podcast as always, be sure to check out our YouTube segment with buster and Tim. It's great. Next week, we will be recording Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Yep. Thursday next week. Because I'm taking a red eye back from Los Angeles and the sound quality is not going to be as good as it could be if we just do it Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday. And I thought, Sarah, I thought about your question, process it now for about 45 seconds. I'd say this. Any Mount Rushmore for me as a reporter, got to start with Tony Gwynn. Tony Gwynn was amazing to cover because he loved to talk about baseball. He was so good at it. And he was anecdotal in all of his descriptions. Like I could ask Tony a specific question about a situation and he would just paint picture. He was like the Vin Scully. Of baseball players, which shouldn't be a surprise because now that I think about it, Tony grew up as a Dodger fan, listening to Vince Scully on the radio. So that probably was it, and as Derek has acknowledged in this documentary, he sort of the anti Derek Jeter, because Derek, Derek just answered questions to get past the question. Like, you know, I could ask Tony a question about, hey, what happened in that key at bat in the 9th inning? And he would just go on and on and he would describe what he was thinking, what the pitcher he thought was thinking, what the pitcher was wearing, the history between the two of them and with Derek, he kind of gave me shrug. Yeah, I got the game when he hit and we won. It was so different. And I told Derek this. I thought his strategy in dealing with that, if I were a player in New York, that was the right way to go. Because he just didn't want to create a headline for the next day, and that was his goal. And he wanted to be available to reporters and he was always available in those moments. All right, that's it for today. That's it for this week. My thanks today to Sarah and Taylor and Todd and the hambo and adjustment dozen to Karl rabbit and our thanks to Vin Scully, who enriched our lives for sure in all the years that we got to listen to them. Thanks for listening. Stay safe. And remember, hate inequality based on skin color is something we need to fight against every single day.

"I grew up with a balanced schedule and so the teams that I would follow, I would listen to they would play the same number of games against teams that they weren't rivals with. And I just, I wasn't wild about it. Reggie at baseball Yoda weather writes and buster, you talked about how the reds would not want to move a Luis Castillo in division to the cardinals with the bound schedule coming in 2023, the number of divisional series drops from 6 to four, which in my view creates more reasons to do a divisional deal as bob nightingale also pointed out earlier in the podcast. Yeah, and look, personally, if I were a general manager, my feeling would be like, I would love to do division. I would have no problem doing a division deal. In fact, if you follow the logic, you're feeling would be like, you know what? I'm going to have enough confidence myself to make a trade where I'm pulling prospects out of your organization moving forward for that player. I think I can win that. It's like, you know, one on one duel. But you know where that really comes into play is that the ownership level, like bob castellini, who owns the reds, he's got past connections with the cardinals and that could be a place where he injects himself into the process. And that's pure speculation where if the reds are sitting there, they have an offer on the table from, say, the Dodgers from the Yankees from the Cardinals wouldn't be surprised to see bob castellini say, you know what? I like the offer from one of those other teams. I don't want to put them on the Cardinals. Up next, we've got tango at N den 42 rights. And Jordan walker is rated higher in the prospect rankings than mason win, but with the impending cap on number of roster spots for pitchers would clubs value a guy like win more because he could give his team some relief innings without claiming a pitcher's spot on the roster. Some, yeah, I think some, but I don't think it would be a big number. It wouldn't move it necessarily. I think teams value flexibility, especially the end of spring training. A couple of regulars here to close out the bleacher tweets, PK Steinberg writes in, is there typically more pressure on the first base coach or the third base coach. Third base coach, because the third base coach, you know, has that decision whether or not to wave a runner home or to stop the runner and there's much more focus on that where some of the times when a first base coach might make it make a mistake. I don't think people really even notice it or even talk about it, not like they do with a third base coat. I mean, shoot, you remember last year in the wild card game in the American legal conversation around Phil Nevin, should he have sent Aaron judge who got thrown at an own play by Xander Bogart that that is not something that's going to be said about the first base coach. Literally lost his job over it. Yep, Mitchell at tigers of Detroit writes in. Do you think the podges will, I'm sorry, do you think the pirates will offer O'Neal Cruz, a similar deal to the one they cut with cabra and Hayes, which potential free agent signings do you see them making to compliment the young core, or do they still have a little more tanking to do? So I know internally some of the feeling among the pirates folks are that there's enough progress there that they feel like they have a chance to contend next year. I don't think they're going to tank. That doesn't mean they're going to spend a lot of money. But I don't think they're going to design failure for next year. And one thing that's a little bit different. Yes, I'm sure they'll try to sign O'Neill Cruz, but one difference between the two is that Hayes has had these series of injuries which I'm sure has made him feel a little bit more insecure and maybe grab for that offer in a way that I don't think as O'Neill Cruz necessarily would. Mister jakey RS writes in the athletics have won 5 of 7 and back to back series this muddiest thing some more do you think what this turnaround do you think the a should be buyers or sellers? I think he's kind of messing with us, you know, the question. Come on, mister Jake. Feels like a little sarcasm. Yes? Yes, it gotta be. Come on, they're sellers. And if you think otherwise been screw your head on straight, last one for today, Gary Carr, my guy, he writes in the Orioles have a better record than the Giants. I am fairly certain. No one had that on their July 27th bingo card. No. Chewed. How many wins do they have now? The warriors. They have like 50 wins now. 50 years of yesterday. Yeah, I think the over under that I was saying, I would definitely take the under, was like 62 and a half. So that's not looking too good. I would agree with you, Gary. All righty, that does it for bleacher tweets hashtag bleacher tweets on Twitter while you're watching games this week and don't forget Tim and buster on ESPN's YouTube page on Monday's episodes. "Clemente has made more pitches to Alex Korra right now. Then he has made in any inning but the third. 18 pitch. High fly ball into right field back to that way back to the gate. It's gone. Alex Clara on the 18th pitch and the dog is lead for the nothing. Yeah, pretty tough to beat an 18 pitch at bat that ends with a home run Taylor. Yeah, a walk is nice, but home run a little bit better. Brian role at base at Brian baseball 5, oh boy, tough time reading this morning. The schedule has been terrible this year, too many four game and two game series, teams having off days on Memorial Day and 4th of July, series against the same team, bunched together these issues are not lockout related to what gives. Well, I would say this, Brian, since I started covering baseball a million years ago, the complaints about the schedule come every year. Somebody's always got an issue with the schedule, which I get. Of the issues that you mentioned, the one that absolutely jumps out to me is why all the teams aren't playing a Memorial Day and 4th of July. Taylor, I don't get it. We've talked about it before. I mean, everyone's off in America sitting around. Probably on the couch, not doing much. I mean, it'd be a great time for Major League Baseball to showcase their product, but that seems a little too tricky for them. Reggie, a baseball and weather nerd at baseball Yoda weather. He writes in, I think he's mentioning boog. He's advocating for a mercy rule up ten or more in at least the 8th here. He had a whole explanation for this, but that's what he wants. Ten or more, and at least the 8th inning. What do you think of that? Yeah, you know, whatever the specifics are, I agree with boob that when you get into a situation where you have a bunch of position players pitching, that's not good. Mister jakey writes in are the a's tanking or do they just suck because their owners cheap and lost money during the pandemic? Yes. Corey Rupert is gonna shut us down for the week at Corey R underscore 12, which upcoming free agent gets more money this off season and how much judge or trade Turner. It's getting closer 'cause judge is having this sort of season that makes an owner lose his mind, you know? Like when Artie Moreno jumped in on the Albert pools bidding and I think something is going to happen like that and I don't know who that's going to be, but some owner is going to be able to tell his friends at the country club. You know what? I landed Aaron judge and I think that contract is going to be for $300 million, but here's the thing. Trey Turner is two years younger than Aaron judge. So I think that the contracts are going to be really close. A team to watch for me with Trey Turner, the Atlanta Braves. I'm wondering, you know, you got dansby Swanson headed to free agency this fall. You got trade Turner. At the early stage of their careers, trade Turner has been a more dynamic offensive player than dansby has been. Dansby is probably been much steadier, defensively. I'm going to be really curious about where the braves land. Oh, I love it. All right, that is it for bleacher tweets for the week. "By playboys were those of Tom McCarthy and Scott franske, the Phillies win the game, beating Josh hayter, which is pretty tough to do. You Darvish in the Padres shut out the match 7, nothing, but this was the moment in this game that might have the most lasting impact. It's tied up and that ball hit him, and he's I think he swung as he all right. I believe he swung lady's mother going to say he did not swing first base up by malachi Moore. And now the question is, is Pete okay? I mean, bob Melvin says there's a full swing and tart to argue with him. He definitely looked like he went around, but that ball got him on the right hand or wrist. He's been hit way too often already this year. How many hit by pitches now for this team? Well, that'll be 38 for the team and 7 for Pete and he's coming out of the game. Yeah, I was Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez. So I was hit on the right hand by 96 mph you Darvish sinker, the initial x-rays came back negative for a fracture, but he's going to need more imaging later today. Starling Marte also came out of the mets loss with left quad tightness, buck, showalter, told reporters after the game, hopefully we get lucky with both of them, we'll see. Taylor, what else you got? Don't know what was more shocking, Madden getting fired or Marcus semien going 7 for 8 with four runs scored three home runs, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Definitely madam but wow, what a night for send me and my fantasy team thanks him big time. No, I think it was definitely Simeon given how he had been performing so far this year. A breakout for him. I mentioned when we were talking with Dave, I don't think this was a surprise about Joe. Frank at F bond fig 7 rates in light of what Madden said the way the game is trending. What do managers provide that front offices and Clubhouse leaders can't already provide? Do you see a future that involves more player managers like am I softball leagues? Yeah, and this is a reference to what Joe Maddon told Ken Rosenthal in an interview right after he got fired. No, I don't think they're going to be player managers because they think the job is too hard. It's too involved. The comparison I've made is major league managers these days are like White House spokespeople. Like you just don't have enough time in the day. You know, with all the media obligations that they have to deal with, I do think that generally speaking, the pendulum swinging back toward experience managers because the success of guys like buck showalter and bob Melvin, but it just felt like an oil and water situation out in Anaheim. Next up we have Josh Schmidt at chivalry undead rates in the angels are an organization of patients keeping guys in the Clubhouse for careers, EG salmon, weaver, writing search for years, cutting with pool host last year, and now firing Madden is this a sign of new organizational style or moves of desperation. Well, we'll see. You know, the common denominator with all this is already Moreno their owner who can be very impetuous and he really needs to hire people that he trusts and as far as I've heard Perry menacing fits that description at this point, but he just needs to let him do his job because whenever I already jumps in or a lot of times when already jumps in, problems arise like when he went out and the span of about 48 hours made a deal with our pools. Up next, Corey childs at M Corey child's rights in Mike Trout make a mistake being locked up by the angels or will things turn around one day. I don't think you make a mistake signing a $430 million contract. I do wonder if trout gets into his mid 30s and the angels continue to struggle to get to the postseason if at some point he might go to the angels say, hey, it's not working out and I really want to be on the big stage. Mister jakey writes in, listening to Howard Brian talk about Ricky, he mentioned that Ricky would never retired. I'm pretty sure Barry Bonds didn't either. Any other Hall of Famers who never officially retired from baseball? Yeah, and just to follow up. Barry Bonds didn't retire because if you look at his statistics, how good of a hitter he was the end of his career, he had an absolute right to believe that he was blackballed, right? And the sport basically didn't want him in the game. And so teams weren't willing to extend themselves, I think for Barry, it was to make a point, I don't know off the top of my head, any other player didn't retire, though. Nicholas rust at Nick rust 17 rates and how about some love for Luis a rise leading the world and batting average on base percentage, he's a bonafide Tony Gwynn two. Wow, they're Nicholas. Yeah, I was gonna say, you know, Louis arises terrific, but I covered Tony Gwynn. He not close to being compared to him. "I think a lot of position players seeing zero agree with you. Grab that jacket. Amy Chapman is next. She writes buster Taylor and Omaha Sarah or Connecticut Sarah. Oh. Who at Major League Baseball should be dealing with the baseball situation as identified by pitchers. Is it Manfred? Or is it something that Theo Epstein or maybe new employee slash former pitcher, future Hall of Famer CC Sabathia should address? The buck stops with rob Manfred, right? That's why you get he gets paid the big bucks and he's got the private jet. He should be telling his people get a new damn surface to the baseball that everybody can work with and get into conversation with people at the union, meet with pitchers, get this thing resolved. If you've got a private jet, you should be a problem solver, so I don't know if rob Manfred fills that box, but mister jakey RS is next small sample size, but would you consider changing any of your precincts or predictions based on the first few weeks of the off season? Overreaction time buster. Yeah, I overreacted in spring training. I changed one pick before we actually turned in our pick. I initially was going to pick the brewers to win the aisling central, then I switch it back to the Cardinals and I kind of wonder if they let me switch it back. After watching the brewers pitching, oh my God, they are loaded with starting pitching. Last one for the week, max Moreno at max Moreno three rates and buster. I'm seeing a lot of balls that look like they are going out. Get caught at the warning track. What are some players take on the new baseballs? We've talked a lot about the pictures, but what about the hitters? Yeah, the balls are dead this year, you know, maybe it's the universal use of the humid or maybe it's the composition of the baseball, but there's no doubt there's a lot of information out there that the ball is not traveling as far as it has in the past. I agree with what Jeff said yesterday, like come on, do we have to have this conversation every year about the baseball and how it changes. It's kind of crazy. Can you imagine like it if that was in the NFL or if it wasn't the NBA where every year wondering about jeez, you know, the basketball, so much different this year and three point shooters aren't hitting as many. Yeah, it actually two main topics we addressed this week, both the ball and officiating and having no repercussions for having a bad game from an official like no other league don't messes around with these things. There are issues, but I mean, these are things that are for the most part solved in other leagues. So Major League Baseball. Get it together. Yep, a 100%. That's it for today. "Already buster bleacher tweets for a Monday. First up we have Alistair hay at dice con writing in with the braves appearing to break camp with Contreras and stridor. Are they going with their best guys, no service manipulation to it seems. He adds on the side what other teams are opening with their best, can't wait for opening day. Most teams are. I think a lot of teams don't try to manipulate service time. We talked last week about the Kansas City Royals, Bobby with junior is going to start the season with their team. I think Detroit, you know, if not for the injury the other day to Riley green, I think they absolutely would have started this season with him, but he's got a broken foot after failing a ball of his foot. He's going to be out a while. You know, I think that the number of teams and in fact Oakland, you know, I've had this conversation with Billy Beane in past years where he doesn't worry about holding a guy in the minor leagues in extra two weeks in order to delay his free agency. He believes in getting players to the big leagues, but there are teams that do that, no doubt. Next up we've got mister jakey RS at mister Jay KRS writes in ellipses John Fisher's pockets. I don't agree that this is just retooling time where do you think the extra revenue sharing money is going to end up? In his pockets. And I think there's no doubt if you're clear. Yeah, if you're a front office, we talked about this in the past. You're Oakland this year. You're the pirates. You're the Orioles. You can sell it to your ownership that, you know what? We're going to cut our payroll the bone. You're going to make a lot of money and hopefully we hit on our draft picks, but no matter what happens with the draft picks, no matter how we develop, you're going to make a lot of money. So it's not a bad option. And as we've talked about repeatedly under the current rules, it's absolutely a viable strategy and it's up to Major League Baseball and the Players Association to have enough collaboration and cooperation to retool the entire system and quite frankly, you know, while that's on the ownership and I've talked for years about how I think the owners shouldn't want this, it also requires engagement and that's where the player association has to, moving forward, the in constant conversation generating ideas, thoughts, how do we change this system, and I would not be surprised if that happens before the next labor agreement. Buster, what about this? What if John Fisher goes out there and is like, listen guys, I'm feeling a little bit broke at the moment. I need to, I can't go out to dinner is often and we're gonna have to tank for a couple of years to afford a new stadium. Like what if he just says like, hey, I don't have any money like we got a tank, we'll retool the team and we'll build a new stadium, but we're gonna suck for a while. Is that too much, honestly? Yeah. You can't say it out loud. It's why, in fact, you know, and I've noticed this prominent couple of prominent writers who worked under Major League Baseball umbrella would not use the word tanking because they know that if you go out and admit publicly and use that word tanking, boy, if you opened your open up yourself some class action suits from like season ticket holders. Wait a second. We thought we were trying to buy tickets to watch games of a team that's competing, and now we have the owner coming out and saying, we're not even trying to compete. That is not a slope. You'll see any owner of step on too. All right. That makes sense. Yeah. Oh yeah, totally. Of course they're not gonna say anything like that. So John Fisher, no more DoorDash from.

"All right, buster here is this week's bleacher tweets first up from mister jakey RS, the Giants are trying to sell many ticket plans. I find this infuriating considering the lockout. Am I being unfair? No, I've got friends who have season tickets and they're getting requests for money and they're basically saying that they're going to take their money out of it until they there's a resolution. They're annoyed. You're not alone, mister jakey. Up next, we have Kyle benning. So baseball owners in 2020. We have biblical losses due to no ticket sales. We can't pay minor leaguers and need staff layoffs. Baseball owners in 2022. Let's have a lockout in short season to squeeze the players. We can endure a loss of ticket sales revenue. Kyle getting some things off his chest. Yeah, when I'm really going to be curious about that this continues to drag on. If at some point, the owners essentially go to the nuclear option, where they decide through the mounting frustration over the negotiations in recent years, you know what? We're just going to sit in our bunker and we're going to wait until the other side potentially fragments. That would be absolutely disaster, but I think it's one of the options at play for the owners. And I'm curious to see how long they take it. And next up, we have Andrew Campbell. Let's forget this toxic mess for a sec. What's your favorite baseball moment in a non baseball movie? I personally love Robin Williams, Carlton fisk story from goodwill hunting and the World Series moment and one flew over the cuckoo's nest. A classic as well. So I've got a couple I agree that Robin Williams Carl and fist story from goodwill hunting was amazing, but I must say like since that was produced by Harvey Weinstein. There's now a cold spot in my heart for that movie that wasn't there before. I actually have never seen one flow of the cuckoos nest two that I was thinking about. One was awful. My best friend's wedding, Julia Roberts goes to the press box where sports writers are working and based on, you know, that I guess screenwriters version of how sports writers are, they just sit and get drunk during the course of all games that don't actually work, and it was like, that person didn't have anything. The other one was Tom Cruise in a few good men when he was walking around his apartment at an Atlanta Braves game against the San Diego Padres in the background. And I think it's Jerry Coleman, who is a friend of mine whose voice was on that. I thought that was pretty cool. So a few good men one was good, but Sarah, as I was preparing mine, I was thinking, you may not have seen a few good men, right? And you may have my best friend's wedding. No, I have seen both of those. My family are big movie buffs and my dad. My dad raised me right. He sent me out to watch a few good men with me. And my best friend's wedding is a great classic movie. Love it. The one that comes to mind for me is Twilight. Listen, it's a cinematic masterpiece that specific scene. The cinematography, the music, the form, the technique. I almost can't even use that as my answer because it almost makes Twilight a baseball movie. It is that good. I've never seen Twilight. I have no idea what you're talking about. Well, hopefully this will hit home for some people who were forced to watch Twilight against their will or who like it as a guilty pleasure. Taylor also sent me one as well. It's not from a movie, but it's from the show Sex and the City. So the ladies go to a Yankees game and carry scoops up a newly called up minor leaguer. And Samantha Jones hits us with this just all time great line. And it's the only place I can smoke without Giuliani putting me away for ten years. These seats suck this hot dog sucks, my entire life sucks, which I think with all this labor stuff might sum up, you know, some baseball fans feelings right now. I think the next blade should tweet also. I think we'll also led me to that. Yes, a perfect transition to our last tweet from PK Steinberg. Dreamed last night that my wife and I were walking around London with Joey Votto. He was wearing a red wrestling singlet naturally. Over the course of the day, he grew sad. Asked why he responded, I just want to dance. Do you do dream analysis? Should we take a crack at this one? So I almost texted this morning almost texted Joey bottle this morning and say, here's what here's what someone fan was dreaming about. How would you translate this? But this seems absolutely clear. I just want to dance. He just wants to play baseball. That's what's going on here, Sarah, isn't it easy? Yes, and I actually looked up a dream analysis website to get this in to see if this has any significance or deeper meaning. So according to Miller's guild dot com, dreaming about dancing can also be symbolic for a cry for freedom. Trust issues in your inner circle and a battle with anxiety. So I don't know. I think it is all the labor stuff. It's all the baseball. It all comes back to baseball labor. Trust anxiety for freedom to be out on a ball field. Your inner circle gave life. Right. So I don't know. I don't know who that might be targeted to. PK Steinberg or Joey Votto. Either one. Well, I might text Joey later today and just let him know that he came up in a very unusual way on our podcast. All right, that's it for today. My thanks to Sara, nice job feeling in today, Sarah. Thank you. It was super fun. And my thanks to Rhett weisman, to Harry Marino, to Taylor swink and the great Tim kirchen, have.

"Thing that stood out to me as far as those awards are concerned. But they go gloves. Again, generally speaking, I think they get most of these right because we have we're so good now and being rooted in the data. But I'm hopelessly biased. JT Realmuto is the best catcher in the national league buster. Jacob stallings had a really nice year. I know his blocking numbers. I think specifically were extraordinary with his past all allowance. And that kind of stuff. But generally speaking for wars like these, I use a player's body of work to be able to sort of break ties because defense can be a little bit noisy year to year and obviously you're not watching them play defense the same way that you're watching them hit and evaluating them as such. And DT real much was the best arm in baseball. He prevents base runners from stealing better than anybody. His framing numbers are always fantastic. Baseball perspective had him third in blocking run. So across the board for my money, he's the best catcher in the national league and I'm sure I was happy for Jacob stallings. The pirates didn't have the chance to win too much this year. So that would say amongst all the words that I went through this morning. Those are the two that stood out. Surprised that Bryant snicker wasn't a finalist for that award. And surprised at JT real Muto did not win the gold glove on the national league. All right, hambo. Always great to talk with you. Later, boys. Get out. Bleacher tweets already buster, bleacher tweets, for a Tuesday, we got Andrew Campbell at real camp drew writing in, hey buster, is it possible that Nolan Arenado has a chance to either tie or surpass Brooks Robinson's gold glove total of 16, Nolan is 30 years old and only needs 7 more gold gloves to tie if he reached 16, would he retire as baseball's greatest defense of third baseman? Andrew, the, you know, I love you. But the word only needs 7 more. Only 7, 9. He is a long way away, and I would say this as we move forward. Brian Hayes is going to be a major factor because his defense is special. Also you wonder Matt Chapman with the Oakland seemingly ready to dumps salaries if they're going to move match Chapman. And if he goes the national league, that's going to change the context for sure. He would be a really nice fit for the mets, for example. Adam Smith is up next at Schmidt FIA writes in with posey's retirement. There's been a lot of chatter in TC markets about mauer's case for the hall. He had an incredible few years, but I don't know if he has longevity or numbers. What are your thoughts? Yep, Hall of Famer, lifetime three or 6 batting average, three batting titles, MVP in 2009, four top ten finishes MVP 6 time all star 2123 career hits, which is 623 more than buster. In his career, 921 games at catchers, 6 O three at first base, posey had more games at catcher in his career, 1093, 229 games at first, but Joe mauer and his time as they catch her was a difference maker. You know, the other day I was texting back and forth with Bruce bochy, and he talked about what an advantage it always was for the Giants that they had an elite offensive player at catcher and the same is true for the twins. Let's go to Brian at a player to be named later, Brian writes in love the show. Can we talk about unicorn Joey Gallo back to back gold glove winner elite feet per second rate and bottom 1% in strikeouts ever seen this combo before? No, not with somebody that big. Well, actually, you know, when Aaron judge is a little bit like that, you know, in terms of his athleticism, but I remember when Joey first came to the big leagues and you see this hulking guys huge. And I was talking with John Daniels, the general manager of the rangers, and he was talking about how like Joey's a much better athlete than anybody realized his boy was he right. Let's go to Don Irvine. What's up, Don? Don writes in, now that Kyle schwarber is a free agent, do you see him signing with an AL team to serve as a DH rather than the NL considering his defensive deficiencies and will he get a multiyear deal considering his 2021 season? Yep, he'll get a multiyear deal, I think there's going to be universal BH for 2022. So he'll consider offers from teams in both leagues. Mister jakey RS at mister JK RS writes in, now that the season is over, what's the feeling on the crackdown over foreign substances after all the grumbling? Do you think it had an impact on the game? Was there a big enough sample size? Yeah, I think there was. It was clear that there were pictures affected by it. You know, spin rates, you could tell that some pictures were affected by it. You know, we had Alex Avila on the podcast and he acknowledged and agreed with what I saw down the stretch that there were a lot of pictures who actually using foreign substances, good old fashioned bullfrog, that sort of thing. I think they found a middle ground. I really hope that they settle this issue because it really is unfair to all of them. As I said during the year when people would talk about someone like a Scherzer or Garrett Cole as a cheater, I'd be like, I mean, 90% of the pictures were using something. And I really would love to get past the conversation. Last one for today, Matt, but covered in confetti at kayaking Smith rates and there's been talk on the pod that Seattle, Texas and Miami may make some splashes this off season. But what teams would be should be worried about setting up to tank next year. I feel like the cubs, guardians nationals and reds are candidates. Congrats on the braves, World Series there mat hope you enjoyed your celebrations. Yeah, absolutely. Look, the guardians don't tank. When we talk about tanking and Taylor sorry to pick a scab for you, I mean, we look at what the Orioles have done a recent years. We looked at what the Astros did in the early 2010s. The last time the Indians lost a hundred games was 1991. The Indians excuse me, the guardians retooled. The athletics retooled. They don't tank. The Orioles, there's absolutely no sign that they're going to veer from their strategy, which means, I'd say right now, whatever the over under is in Vegas, if you want to retire, I think you bet the under on whatever Vegas comes up with your team, what do you think? Oh, yeah, empty account. Bet it all buster bet it all on that under. I'm gonna check that out after we're done. I'm sure it's not up yet, but the second it is, you know where you define me. So thanks for writing everyone. Hashtag bleacher tweets on Twitter. Again, we're gonna do another show. Next Friday, we had a great batch of tweets this week, so keep them coming throughout the week and please follow rate and review this podcast wherever you listen to your podcasts. And just to touch on a couple of other teams real quick, Luis Castillo and Sonny gray, two guys to watch for the reds, I'm curious to see if they trade them. If they do, then you wonder if they're going to be retooling. They have too many good position players to actually go into full on tank. And I think the what to watch for for the cubs, do they make a major expenditure? You know, it was a good sign that they're not tanking that they picked up wade Miley. Before we go, I just want to mention we got sad news yesterday, Pedro Feliciano, longtime left handed pitcher passed away at age 45 and his sleep at word of Perez colleague tweeted out that news, I didn't really know him that well, but everybody that did know him better than I just they were heartbroken yesterday. So our thoughts go out to the family of Pedro Feliciano. My thanks to date to Carl to hambo to Taylor have a great day to everybody. Thanks for listening. Stay safe and remember, Hayden inequality based on skin color is something we need to fight against every single day. Thanks for listening to the baseball tonight podcast. If you're.
