"Case you'll recall while serving a three year federal sentence for among other crimes his role in making those payments to the porn star stormy Daniels which constituted a campaign finance violation case in which just the President was an unindicted Co conspirator the house ways and Means Committee has already subpoenaed trump's tax returns that was back in May. He is fighting fighting that request in court presently tomorrow trump's former campaign manager. Corey Lewandowski is expected to testify publicly as part of the House Judiciary Judiciary Committee's obstruction investigation to other witnesses and this is notable former trump administration aides rick dearborn and Rob Porter there were also scheduled to testify at the White House has told them not to appear and there's also an explosive story as we mentioned having to do do with Supreme Court Justice Brett Cavanaugh who was sworn in almost a year ago now after that contentious confirmation process which included the emotional testimony from Dr Christine Blasi Ford who accused Justice Cavanaugh of sexual misconduct this weekend the New York Times published a piece about Debra Ramirez who had accused Justice Cavanaugh of exposing himself to her during a party at the Yale University campus in the early eighties the piece as part of a book out tomorrow by two times reporters they write quote at least seven people including Ms Ramirez is mother heard about the incident long before Mister Cavanaugh Kavanagh was a federal judge. Two of those people were classmates who learned just days after the party occurred suggesting that it was discussed among students at the time the The New York Times reported on another allegation that cavenaugh exposed himself to another female classmate during his time at Yale and that a witness name AMAC's tire quote notified senators and the FBI about this his account but the FBI did not investigate and Mr Steinmeier has has declined to discuss it publicly. The Times added to the reporting last night that the female student involved in this new claim quote declined to be he interviewed and friends say she does not recall the episode. Cavanaugh has repeatedly denied the allegations from Ford and Ramirez and had declined climbed to comment on the new allegations. Trump has been vigorously defending cavenaugh on social media. Meanwhile six of the Democratic presidential dementia candidates have called for Kavanagh's impeachment and trump responded just in the last hour. Look at what they're doing today to justice cabinet. They're calling for his resignation. They're calling for his impeachment. The woman said I don't remember that they still want him to be a beach house. Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler says they plan to question. FBI Director Christopher Array about the bureau's Cavanaugh investigation at a hearing that will be next month here for our leadoff discussion on a Monday night as we start a new week of this Tim O'Brien executive editor of Bloomberg opinion also happens to be the author of trump nation the art of being the Donald AB stoddard columnist and associate editor her at realclearpolitics and Harry Littman a former federal prosecutor and former deputy assistant attorney general and counselor. I'd like to begin with you out out on the West. Coast you Saturday that this tax return story this request. This demand could be a game changer. Why is that in your view. Everything about the House Ways and Means Committee request is strange and barricaded by the Department of Justice which is fighting tooth and nail with with specious legal claims. This is a straight up requests from a private party the accounting firm that says it's going due to cooperate as part of a criminal investigation so none of those blockades are there. It's likely to get the information although note it's still going to be secret secret and then second it reignites everything about the Coen investigation that stopped in its tracks and remember they had a long way to go and we know no now that the trump organization and David Weisselberg is in their sides the the national enquirer and Sam Pecker. Maybe hope picks smaby Donald Trump junior who signed one of the checks it could go a long way and Vance is making every sign that he's prepared to you follow the road where it leads and people who remember the name Cyrus Vance in our national politics. This is his son who is now. Da Manhattan Tim O'Brien Ryan this could be mood of course because the president in a way. I'm going to play right now for us to discuss has already promised us a look at his financials. I'll be at some point prior to the election. I'm going to be given out a financial report of me and it'll be extremely complete. I gotTA give out. I'M GONNA give out my financial condition and you'll be extremely shocked that the numbers many many times what you think so so not only will it be extremely complete. We will be extremely shocked at the numbers there and why would you have any reason to doubt him. I doubt it extremely Lianne. Extreme doubts that the president will ever willingly turn over anything that's transparent about his own finances and the reason for that is he has a number of things he wants to hide his businesses businesses never been as robust as he said it is. He has never been as generous philanthropist says he says he is that stuff's the low level will level issues the stuff that hits Tim in the Oval Office where does his income from and WHO's financed his businesses and that's GonNa. Some of that will surface in the tax returns. I think unfortunately differently the timeframe on both what the DA is looking at and what the House Ways and Means Committee is looking at may not go to the most Germane information the house ways and means Gene Means Committee is going back about six years the DA's office wants to go back eight in the in the mid two thousand a lot of cash came into the trump organization. Donald don't trump went on a shopping spree trump turnberry. He got involved with the trump. Soho and the provenance of those projects where the money came to get those things done on has always been a big question. Mark Eric Trump has told reporters in the past that they got the money from Russians and then he backed away from that trump has said what we paid for it out of our own business this proceeds but at the time is doing that he was also applying for loans to buy turnberry and all of that predates the date range in which they're looking at these tax actually turns so I think I think I think some of the mother lode might get missed in this nonetheless. I think they're going to look at things. Inside trump's taxes about how clear is about defining how much income he has where it comes from what he's booking as expenses and I think that's some of the stuff that's going to land on the Michael Comb Portion Fortunatus Abe help us make the turn into jurisprudence or at least what passes for it a lot of Democrats lining up today elbowing each each other out of the spotlight to say. Let's impeach Justice Cavanaugh. That's a high bar perhaps and I know you've talked about this this before the Democrats would make it their target to take over control of the US Senate which would make that a little easier right Brian. I found it just downing that they failed to make the case voters that they have to achieve a majority in the Senate to get anything that they want to confirm judges to try to shift back the court in after the incredible change that it has undergone out in the trump administration almost double the amount of openings that he inherited compared to Obama in two thousand nine complete remaking of the court in just a few years and they never talk about that on the campaign trail and they never talk about the need to get back to the majority in the Senate and the idea that they're going to start talking about impeaching a Supreme Court justice this right now in in a Republican majority Senate something that the chairman of the Judiciary Committee on the house side immediately said no you could see it later and reporting throughout the day other our top leaders in the party big name. Democrats say no no. We're not interested in this and their grass roots energy in their insurgents will all talk about it because has the people you know several of the candidates on the campaign trail will but it's a mistake you can tell the story of how this court change and why it's important to have a majority control you could even talk about the specter of maybe he lied under oath. Maybe that was a sham investigation don in just ten days but the idea of impeaching him is ludicrous why do you. I think that is about Democrats in the Senate I mean if there was any doubt we learned there was no one in charge of the party the night the Democrats came out and criticized Obama at at their debate but why do you that they are treating the notion of a democratic majority about reducing Mitch McConnell to minority leader as something untouchable touchable. I know it well. It's a tough map. It's a tough road back but I think again. The first step is energizing their voters the way the Conservatives don so so so effectively talking about this as a priority trump basically saying on the campaign trail in sixteen. You have to vote for me because of the judges it's all about the judges you never hear hear this from from anyone on the trail even Biden and it's it's really should be their primary goal. Let's unite around whoever because we have two goals taking back the Senate so we can get so nominations and some confirmations at this point even with a Democratic president if Mitch McConnell's majority leader got nothing when they say Tim O'Brien. It's all about the judges. They're not kidding. It's what informs the smile that always seems to be on Mitch McConnell's face well and I think it'll be this one of the signal achievements of trump's first term of which she had very little to do with I mean this was a federalist society. Don mcgann Mitch McConnell play and it's going to be one of the longest lasting the impacts of the trump years and I think it shows the real differences between Democrats and Republicans. The Federalist Society started planning on the stuff in the mid nineteen eighties. They laid the groundwork for this. They were methodical. They defied vacancies. They identified judges. They cultivated judges. The Democrats are never good at that kind of a long ground game. A AH Harry meanwhile we watched the continuing Charlie Browning of Jerry Nadler the pulling of the football ball away from this chairman of the House Judiciary Committee that has now decided I guess to retell some of the story of Bob Muller report. Do they have any recourse when the White House just says these two former aides. They're not going to appear before your committee yeah only the law. It's just that the law takes place over a scale of months and they needed in days or weeks. Lewinsky Taos Ski will testify tomorrow unlimited material and he won't hurt trump at all and as you say the other two aides it's Ludik well first of all the whole notion of.

"Segment we talked about hacienda healthcare and that terrible terrible situation. This segment. Let's talk about another horrible situation that happened recently. A man swerved the two lanes and struck Salt River police officer killing him there's been another outcry public outcry for a texting while driving Bill and we've got two of them in the legislature making their way through the legislature earlier today, we talked to a state Representative Kavanagh about his Bill. Here's what he said. But mine is kind of a backstop Bill if the opposition again, get strong, hopefully, at least we can get me more agreed in dangerous activity of actually typing stuff into your phone illegal. So knowing what we know governor we're one of three states that do not have a statewide texting while driving. Would you sign something that arrive at your desk, or do you think we don't need one? What are you? What are your thoughts? So the first thing. Yes, I would sign something that would get to my desk. I signed something in the past. It was addressed to juvenile so or too young people. But but let me start by saying my heart really goes out to this family. We're discussing this because of Salt River police officer Clayton Townsend who who was killed by this distracted driver who hit him and killed him. Now, there's a wife without a husband, and there's a young child without a father, and I do think properly constructed we should have a law and the law can be a teacher, and we should not have people on their phones returning tax and driving distracted way. So properly constructed forty eight other states have these laws I said last year Steve Farley was working on a Bill like this. This that if it got to my desk, I would likely sign it. So I I really want to give a friendly challenge to the legislature to put together the right Bill that I'll make our roads safer and allow are adults and young people to know that this is just simply not safe. It's not responsible and not only may you hurt yourself doing this or or get a ticket. Somebody lost their life here. I mean, this this person was was killed in something that was completely avoidable. Governor would you prefer something like cavenaugh Bill that says it just bans texting and driving. You can use your GPS. You can look at your phone if there's a tax you just can't type in a text. Would you prefer that? Or would you prefer a Bill that says you can't touch your phone at all? Because I believe there's a Bill circulating that way too. I think there has to be some latitude. So what what mister Cavanaugh is describing because I think people rely on these GPS systems, and the ideas we want our roads to be safe. We won a void distracted driving. And when you can have that ticket for texting for typing on your phone. I think we can change a lot of behavior in my new role. I'm not driving as much as I used to. So I I sit in the passenger seat, and I'm able to see what others are doing whether on the road, and there is a tremendous amount of people. That have the phone between their legs. They're and they're not looking at GPS, they're they're typing or or having that that texting conversation as they drive. Governor Doug Ducey is in for his monthly exclusive interview. Let's switch gears a little bit. Did you see the the president's speech over the weekend? He announced that he would make an offer three year extension for Dacca children for five billion dollars for the wall. What do you think of the deal? Have you spoken to the president? What does he say? I didn't see the speech in real time. But I saw a tape delay or or later in the afternoon. And so I was glad that somebody came to the table to sweeten the deal. It seemed like they were at an impasse where the president was here that was five billion dollars and the wall or Boston speaker Pelosi was over here saying no chance we're not going to fund that. And I think most people realize five billion dollars in the federal budget is a rounding error most people are in favor of border security so to come back to the new. Shitting table and say I've changed my stance. I've added some things that are important to you. And quite frankly important to a lot of Americans. I think that there's a solution there, but they do need to start talking. I think it needs to quit being just communication through. The press speaker Pelosi dish invited the president to the to the state of the union something that's never happened in our lifetime. And then he took her military plane away to go to Afghanistan. I think we all expect more and we also in Arizona. I'm proud that. We've been able to put some of these deals together to move government forward. And I want to see congress do its job. They've got to come up with a compromise. And what do you like that deal for Dacca kids? Like, can you see not just all or nothing, but give us this? And we'll give you that would would that be acceptable for somebody who runs a border state pretty much with with a lot of Dacca kit. My first concern is that I do wanna see dollars for border security and now she's flexibility on those dollars. And I've said for some time we've got to figure out a solution around the these docket children. We don't hold people in America responsible for what their parents dead. And so these are young people that came to this country when they didn't have any choice, and I'd like to see them have some certainty. I'd actually like to see something better and different than three years. But I think that this is a good start. It gives us some breathing room. And it gets us through the next election cycle. So everything isn't so politicized. Doug ducey's joining us in studio. Let me go back to local politics. There are a couple I call these anti teacher bills once from Kelly Townsend, the others from Mark Finchem. You know, and it's about walking out of class or or a teacher code of ethics. Do you believe that you have some legislatures in? You know in Phoenix that are saying, you know, what it's it's time to get back to the teacher. So bet they made us look bad last year. They came down in their red fifty thousand people and now we've got two people putting on a Bill that isn't isn't it doesn't. It doesn't help solve any problems teacher pay. It doesn't help solve the lack of teachers that we have do you see maybe these two bills anti teacher. Well, the first thing I want to say is I I'm on the side of the teachers, and I think it's important that teachers know that they have support from the governor and the chief executive of the state, I said, my state of the state that I'm not gonna just work with Republicans and Republican ideas or Democrats on democrat ideas, I wanted to see some bipartisanship going forward. I'm going to work with all the legislators and good ideas, and I want, you know, we still have fifty percent of this teacher pay raise to complete. So I want the teachers to feel the the value and support that they have from state government, and I wanna work on good policy going forward. I don't think. Going back and revisiting the past is. Is is productive at this point. All right. That'll do it. Governor Doug Ducey, his monthly exclusive in studio interview. Governor will see in February. Thanks for joining us. We'll see you. Then guys have a great month. All right, Arizona. Governor Doug Ducey coming up next. We'll get some traffic. We'll get you home as fast as we can MAC and Gaydos to six stick.

"The law school for as long as Cavanaugh sits on the court. He will remain a symbol of partisan anger. A haunting reminder that behind the filing face of judicial benevolence lies the force of an urgent oil to power as does a former Republican appointed supreme court Justice, John Paul Stevens. As does the Washington Post editorial page which had supported every supreme court nominee since Robert Bork, including Clarence Thomas as does Ben wits a close friend of Kavanagh's who had supported him before the hearings as implicitly does Kavanagh's champion current White House counsel, Don Mcgann who according to the. New York Times said that an extended investigation of cavenaugh could be potentially disastrous for Kavanagh's confirmation. And as do many people who have known him through his life. Finally, Mr cavenaugh raised questions about his candor that while each on its own is not disqualifying are worrying in the context of his demand that MS Ford and his other accusers be dismissed and disbelieved these include his role in the nomination of controversial Judge Charles Pickering, while working for Mr Bush, his knowledge of the origin of materials stolen, from Democratic Senate staff between two thousand one and two thousand three and his lawyer -ly obfuscations about his high school and college years, and what of Mr. Kavanagh's political philosophy. We would not have opposed Mr. Cavanaugh on that basis. Just as we did not think GOP senators should have voted against Sonia Sotomayor because they did not like her views, rather, the reasoning. Not vote for mister Cavanaugh. Is that senators have not been given sufficient information to consider him, and that he has given them ample evidence to believe he is unsuited for the job the country deserves better and from the politico essay by Robert post, former dean of yellow school each and every Republican votes for Cavanaugh. They are four effectively announces that they care more about controlling the supreme court than they do about the legitimacy of the court itself. There will be held to pay judge Cavanaugh cannot have it both ways he cannot gain confirmation by unleashing partisan fury while simultaneously claiming that he possesses HUD, chal and impartial. Temperament. But now he will take his seat much as Trump assumed his powers, Matthew, we glazed has has argued that. This change will be good in hastening, a midsize view of the court as just another version of the Senate. A thoroughly partisan amp alita sized body. Similar? Nearly Clarence Thomas may have the comfort of no longer being the person who reached the court by a narrow is confirmation vote margin. Fifty two to forty eight four Thomas and no longer having the greatest personal cloud hanging over him. Who knows how the other pluses and minuses will net out. But Trump has changed our view of who could end up in his office. And what the restrictions are. So will cavenaugh about the supreme court. Path. Two. Do you? When you. So that the good. The gap. "Hundreds today as protesters against the cavenaugh nomination were arrested at capitol, and Senate offices have more on that in detail later on this hour also today for the first time in living memory, at least a living retired Justice of the supreme court Justice. John. Paul Stevens announced opposition to a nominee for the court. Justice Stevens said an event today in Florida that he had thought that Brett Cavanaugh was qualified for the court when he was first nominated. But he said today, quote, I have changed my views. Is performance during the hearings because me to change my mind. He has demonstrated a potential bias involving enough a potential Lillian so you move or the court that he would not be able to perform full who responsibilities that. I think there's merit in that that criticism I know of no other circumstances in which a former supreme court. Justice has said that a nominee for the supreme court should be rejected. I don't know of any circumstance in American history where that has ever happened before. And then there's this from the Washington Post the first time in over thirty years that the Washington Post has said, a nominee should be rejected, quote, too many questions remain about his history for senators to responsibly vote, yes. At the same time enough has been learned about his partisan instincts that we believe senators must vote. No, we do not say so lightly. We have not opposed a supreme court nominee liberal or conservative since Robert Bork nineteen eighty-seven. We believe presidents are entitled to significant difference if they nominate well-qualified people within the broad mainstream of judicial thought when President Trump named Mr. Cavanaugh he seemed to be such a person, an accomplished, judge whom any conservative president might have picked, but given Republicans refusal to properly vet Mr. Cavanaugh and given what we have learned about him during the process. We now believe it would be a serious blow to the court and the nation. If he were confirmed. Then the post says this about the accusation raised against Cavanaugh by Dr Christine Blasi Ford. The post basically stays agnostic on the credibility of her accusation, but they say this quote, we continue to believe that MS Ford is a credible witness with no motivation to lie. It's conceivable that she Mr. Cavanaugh are both being truthful in the sense that he has no memory of the event. It's also conceivable that MS Ford's memory is at fault. We wish the FBI had been allowed to probe Mr. Kavanagh's credibility more fully. But our conclusion about Kavanagh's fitness does not rest on believe in one side of the other. If Mr. Cavanaugh truly is or believes himself to be victim of mistaken identity, his anger which he displayed at his confirmation hearing is understandable. But he went further in last Thursday's hearing then expressing anger. He gratuitously indulged in hyper partisan rhetoric against the left describing his stormy confirmation as quote, a calculated orchestrated, political. Hit fueled by apparent pent up anger about President Trump and the two thousand sixteen election and quote revenge on behalf of the Clintons cavenaugh provided neither evidence nor even a plausible explanation for this red meat partisanship. But he poisoned any sense that he could serve as an impartial. Judge. Democrats are liberal activists would have no reason to trust in his good faith. In any cases involving politics even be on such cases is judgment and temperament would be in doubt. The reason not to vote for mister Cavanaugh is that senators have not been given sufficient information to consider him and that he has given them ample evidence to believe he is unsuitable for the job quote, the country deserves better. First time in more than thirty years. The Washington Post is at a to'realize against a supreme court nominee..

"From Compass media networks, this is America's First News this morning with your host, Gordon Deal Kavanagh's denial. Good morning. I'm Gordon Deal along with Jennifer Kushinka on this Tuesday, September twenty five ledger with us. Here's what we have for you this hour supreme court nominee. Brad Kavanagh denies sexual assault allegations and says he won't be intimidated into consideration deputy attorney general rod Rosenstein will meet with President Trump to discuss his tenure as the number two man at the Justice department eleven days after hurricane Florence some. South Carolina residents today are preparing to evacuate as rivers taking water from North Carolina. Then heads up for new parents. How tariffs could hit baby products manufacturers are saying that these new terrace that went into effect, maybe fifty bucks or one hundred dollars onto the price of two hundred dollars to two fifty or three hundred dollars. And that's not the only thing on the list related to babies. There's also. That the net diaper bag wooden safety things like that Wesley. All Brexit, marketwatch on how the trade war could hit things like cribs and diaper bags her report in about twenty minutes. Supreme court nominee. Brett cabinet has repeatedly denied accusation of sexual misconduct. That have threatened to derail his confirmation. Not perfect. I've never never done anything like this in an exclusive interview with Fox News last evening. Judge Cavanaugh emphatically denied Dr Christine Ford's claim against him saying that he was a virgin through high school and for many years after looking for fair process process where I can defend my integrity. And clear my name. He added that he never attended any such party in the other people who alleged to be president have said, they do not remember any such party. Mister Cavanaugh added that he was not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place. But what he knows is he's never sexually assaulted anyone. Judge Cavanaugh also said he would not withdraw his name from consideration over the allegations. Republicans are vowing to push the confirmation of judge capital, even as new allegations of sexual misconduct team merged this time is so dubious that the New York Times passed on the story entirely. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell took to the Senate floor to call the allegations a smear campaign and promised to vote on the Senate floor to confirm the judge quote in the near future. Christine Blasi four to California college professor has accused of sexually assaulting her when they were in high school during the nineteen eighties. Here's Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer leader McConnell, you spend five minutes pointing their finger at Democrats. That show someone who's in a pickle that show someone who's dug in the deep hole. If you really believed these allegations are part of the despicable smear job leader McConnell. Why don't you call for an FBI investigation? Search cavenaugh in a letter to the Senate Judiciary committee chairman Charles Grassley said he will not be intimidated into withdrawing. In addition to the parties directly affected like supreme court nominee, Brad Kavanagh, and Dr Christine Blasi Ford women are also wrestling with the sexual assault allegation against him more from Washington Post, national political reporter, Jennifer Johnson, Geno. What are you hearing? We got together could dozen reporters who were sent out all across the country to Texas Minneapolis, St Louis, the Tampa, Florida area, South Carolina and just walked up to women and and ask them about what's happening in Washington right now. And what they think of this accusation against Brett cabin. And you know, I mean, one surprising thing is we found many women who were just not following this this or did not want to talk about this issue. Those who are to talk to kind of follow along their traditional party lines. A lot of Democrats we tack to where I'm very upset about this. Do not wanna see confirmation go through were not fans of his to start with and are just kind of appalled to see yet. Another example of the Republican party, perhaps not taking women's concerns as seriously as they think that they should be taken conservative women. A lotta times where defendant raised concerns about the accuracy of this accusation and some women kinda said, all right? Even if this did happen, he seventeen they didn't think that it should derail his nomination. But a lot of a lot of different opinions out there right now. It's interesting. So this fell large along political lines, not necessarily gender. Yeah. Exactly. And we in polling. Also, Fox News.

But if someone says I was sexually abused people today, sometimes presume that they're making it up to their whatever it should be a presumption of innocent. And then have a fair process to go through to determine the truth. That's Senator Patty Murray who doesn't understand that. The presumption of Edison's goes to the accused. Accuser. One has a presumption of innocence. And by the way, the analogy isn't quite right. If you actually say. Well, Gary Saint ours is about to become the the mayor of Baltimore City, but thirty five years ago, Gary stole my car. You would be expected to have some indication that a thirty five years ago, you Headey car, and that be was stolen and reported to the police. And if you say, well, maybe it wasn't thirty five years. It was I don't know maybe thirty four years or twenty nine years. I can't remember back in my car. I had a bicycle then. So maybe maybe he stole. I can't be sure because I've repressed this because it's so painful for me to think about this. Senator Murray with all due respect. If that's what the state of Washington DC. Holy smokes, man. I haven't heard anyone mention impossibility of a statue of limitations on something. That's thirty five years or older. My understanding is that in the state of Maryland for if you're going to allege attempted rape that there is no statute of limitations. On a practical level because because exactly this happens. You forget exactly when it took place. You may forget the names of people who would be able to verify what was said what wasn't said in her case. "The Democrats wait to formally take control of the house in January the house stomach, and he this guy's in a hurry. The House Democratic leadership should pledge now that if they want a majority they will conduct an impeachment investigation to get to the truth. Doing. So today would make clear to the Senate Republicans that if they rushed to judgment in the absence of a full unfair investigation. They will still there were still be an investigation to be sure he writes, the impeachment of a supreme court Justice is a rare thing in our democracy. The last member of the supreme court the face a credible threat of impeachment was associate Justice, Abe, Fortas whom Lyndon Johnson had nominated to replace our Warren as chief Justice credible allegations of financial misconduct involving a lifetime paid consultancy with the Wolfson foundation were made against fordis- Wolfson was facing federal criminal charges that could easily found their way to the supreme court was that plus he was serving as an unofficial adviser to the president of the United States while he was on the supreme court as well as taking about twenty grand a year from this foundation funded in part by this crook. Those are facts. Not alligators. Under withering bipartisan criticism Justice, fordis- withdrew his nomination. So he wasn't. Impeached. And ultimately resigned from the supreme court. Hetty not resign. There's a good chance. He would've been impeached. Right. What he did was crooked. The only Justice to me impeach with Samuel chase. Who was accused in eighteen o four allowing partisan views to affect his decisions but the effort to oust him failed in the Senate. Now, that's it. Ladies and gentlemen. I know of no other supreme court Justice who was impeached. Not even Roger in the dread Scott decision. The chief Justice then. So here's another institution. That the left wants to burn down. They talk about an independent judiciary. You're not even allowed to criticize the judiciary if you're conservative. But here they're already talking about impeachment. Of course, he writes, even if the house impeach cavenaugh would still take a two-thirds majority in the Senate to convict and remove him from the court, which will happen, ladies and gentlemen. But the Senate vote would surely have at least something to do with the merits of the houses case Fe full and fair investigation shows that mister Cavanaugh has lied regarding the incident he's denied it categorically and says nothing even remotely like ever occurred. Publicans senators may find it hard to vote. No in the metoo era. Be a terrible blow to the legitimacy the supreme court, of course. But this is the risk that senators McConnell and Grassley seem willing to take. Incredible. Is it not? Let's just back up a second. If Diane Feinstein conformed with that letter. A month and a half ago. When Cavanaugh was was meeting senators, or if she'd come forth with that letter during the hearings process the law. Professor doesn't mention any of this. It would have been part of the hearings process as detestable as it is. Law. Professor doesn't stay that. The reason they held back is because Chuck Schumer, obviously, advise them told back to create this crunch time the Republicans to their credit so far. Biting. So this law professor and wants to take it to the next level. He wants to take it to the next level. Nor does he explain exactly what it is that he's looking for. Now, it would be fascinating. No. Because maybe maybe a doctor Ford, professor Ford. Has a remarkable. Recollection all of a sudden of something she couldn't remember two minutes ago. Which is when this occurred where this occurred any corroborating witnesses anybody she may have spoken to because so far the answer is she doesn't know she doesn't know she doesn't know. And no. Speaking through her lawyers. She went to the Washington Post. Weeks and weeks ago? That's continue. He goes on. Moreover, an impeachment investigation could also encompass allegations that Mr. Kavanagh's committed perjury before the Senate twice related to his work on the nomination of district. Judge Charles Pickering to be a judge on the court of appeals for the fifth circuit under oath both in two thousand six and two thousand eighteen he said, he had no involvement with the White House strategy sessions associated with judge Pickering's nominations, subsequently released emails involving these such and suggests that these answers were at best misleading and at worst, totally false. And are they weren't? So you can see this guy's a hack this law. Professor. Attending, a strategy session as a White House staffers, not a crime lying under oath to the Senate Judiciary committee, and the other NS perjury would be perfectly justified on constitutional basis for impeachment. So Trump should be impeached for nothing. Cavanaugh should be impeached. If he's confirmed who else. Backseat. Water says pen should be taken out with impeachment. You understand what's going on here? Right. Ladies and gentlemen. You're not allowed to win elections. They want to disenfranchise you. They want complete monopolistic control over the courts, especially the supreme court and any time now in the future Republican wins the presidency, not just Trump at any. They're going to do everything they can to de legitimize that Republican unless they're of the sorts of say, a Susan Collins or Bob corker or Jeff flake. The professor goes on. And important caveat. Congress must take care to maintain the constitutional convention that has existed since the failed impeachment of Justice. Chase federal judges, including members of the supreme court should not be impeach based on their judicial rulings. Our philosophy courting accordingly. If the house were to initiate impeachment proceedings against Justice cabin on twenty nineteen such proceedings should be strictly limited to questions associated with his alleged intentional and deliberate efforts to mislead the Senate about his character. And so now, you see Kavanagh's guilty guilty. And listen to this. Congress must take care to maintain that constitutional convention that has existed since the failed impeachment of Justice chase. We do not know the truth of the troubling allegations against judge Cavin. But before someone is confirmed that the supreme court good faith efforts to discover the truth should be made. And if the Senate won't conduct a credible investigation. Now, the house should offer its assistance next year. Professor Ronald j quotas Inskeep. Junior university of Alabama school of law. You also going to try and impeach Clinton's tunnels pound. Is this what's going on? Through immigration attacks on state efforts to ensure the legitimacy of voters. Through criminalising politics. People like Muller. Throw impeachment. What is it? Here. You want to cleanse the political system of people who reject who oppose the progressive agenda that is exactly right. They also want to destroy the electoral college where if a candidate wins a majority of the vote in a particular state all electoral college votes, go to that candidate as opposed to congressional districts. They got all kinds of designs on our constitution. Ladies and gentlemen, while they pretend to support.
