Biden Blasted for Visiting Ukraine Instead of East Palestine, Ohio

"Welcome back to America first. Thanks very much to Benjamin. Now somebody has written various tomes on various American presidents from an apolitical perspective. Could you just react to the idea of an American president going to another nation in a war zone albeit like Kyiv and Ukraine at a time when politics is so divisive at home and people are suffering in the east Palestine, Ohio. What are the presidential optics of this like? I have to say, and you and your listeners would know, I tended to be highly critical of this president, but I think he was right to go. And I commend him for going. I think it is hyperbole to compare it to the most publicized visits of president Kennedy and president Reagan to western Berlin. And they were outstanding speakers and mister Biden is not. But I think I would defend him on the charge of going there when there are bad things in the United States and I think it's a scandal that he has not gone to east Palestine, Ohio. But you can do both, you know. But on president's day on premises, is there something a little bit piquant about him going on president's day? I thought that was maybe I'm being naive, but I thought that was more or less of an accent. I mean, it just a scheduling thing. The fact that he went on president's day, I wouldn't read a great deal into that. I mean, it's as good a day as any other to go. And there's no reason that a president can't be out of the country on that day. And presidents do travel and part of their mandate is to uphold the American position in the world and defend American national interests in the world. And

"CBS News special report, President Biden says three flying objects shot down by the U.S. do not appear to be linked to China. The intelligence community's current assessment is that these three objects were most likely balloons tied to private companies. Wendy Patrick: Hunter Biden Can't Have It Both Ways

"Always appreciate your analysis because you have the perspective as a news analyst and the background as a lawyer to help make sense of some of these things. I want to talk about something with you that I set up the last hour and that has to do with Hunter Biden's legal team and some letters that they've been sending out this week concerning that laptop that they're still not admitting is his. That's the first part that I found interesting. They're on a full frontal assault, but not admitting it's his. How did you react to some of these reports? I think the same way you did in the same way the readers did is the first letter, the 14th page letter was very clear about complaining about compromising mister Biden's personal data, circulating it, sharing it with people that had no right to see it, et cetera. And then the second letter seemed to suggest and that the first letter shouldn't be interpreted as we all interpreted. The second letter basically said, we're not agreeing that it's his. Now obviously nobody's on the road. This isn't testimony. This is, as you pointed, a full frontal assault, taking the offensive by the lawyers, but everyone probably recognizes is they can't have those ways. There's no standing if it's not his laptop. You can't represent someone sort of in the abstract as if I have your property, you know, I shouldn't be able to share it, but I'm not sure I have the property. So it becomes a logical dysfunctional argument. And I think that has made more news, ironically, Jeff, than the original letter. Well,

The Friday search of the president's Wilmington home lasted longer than 12 hours, and mister Biden's personal lawyer says it was kept a secret from the public at the Justice Department's request. We're told some of the papers date back to mister Biden's time as a senator, and that authorities also took handwritten notes dating to his time as vice president. Handwritten notes could be of concern to prosecutors if they contain sensitive government secrets. What Was the FBI's Role in Searching for the Biden Docs?

"The biggest news story overnight. It was revealed in garage gate that the Department of Justice and the FBI considered but rejected a role in searching for Joe Biden's documents. I'm shocked, shocked that the FBI didn't want to go to Joe Biden's house for the warrant. Just to make sure the Justice Department considered having FBI agents monitor a search by President Biden's lawyer for classified documents at homes at his homes, but decided against it. Both to avoid complicating later stages of the investigation and because mister Biden's attorneys had quickly turned over a first batch, and were cooperating, according to people familiar with the matter. Now, do you think anybody else in the world gets that? Oh, I've given you everything you need. We looked that. We found some more, but don't worry, there's nothing else. Ah. Third batch of documents. We're going to keep looking. And the FBI does not normally say to the mafioso or to the crime boss or to the terrorist or to the embezzler or to sandbank and freed. Okay, you take it from there and get back to us. Normally, they do the searching and apparently they were invited to. But they didn't want to get involved. That's not exactly what happened with Donald Trump.

Rep. Jim Jordan: What Prompted the Search for Biden Documents?

"I've got to get to this investigation of President Biden, the attorney general announcing that news yesterday. My question is, where is the FBI here? And why have they not raided or at least searched the homes of Joe Biden? And how do we know there are not more documents out there? No, I think that's sort of the fundamental question that Americans kind of step back and look like. The secretary Clinton mishandled classified Doc, Joe Biden is single classified docs, but the only home who gets rated is president Trump, who, by the way, as president is the ultimate authority, the ultimate say on what's classified and what's not. And was actually working with the administration, the Biden administration and the Justice Department prior to them right in his home. So yes, double share. But the real question I have Todd is, why were they looking? What prompted them to go look? I mean, it's not like this just happened. Yes, those documents have been, you know, he's been out of office out of the vice president's office for 6 years. So why did they go look here in they found them on November 2nd? Was it the, some have speculated it was the archives, the national archives who said to The White House, oh, there's some documents that we should have that mister Biden checked out or kept or has. You might want to go check and get those back. What prompted him was I don't know, but I think that's sort of the fundamental question. Why now? Why were they looking in November of 2022? And

"For candidates on the road. Mister Biden was at buoy state university to show his support for democratic candidate for Maryland governor Wes Moore. If he wins more would be the state's first ever black governor. During his speech, the president took aim at the GOP candidates that have continued to raise doubts about the results of the 2020 election. This morning Pamela wood, a reporter with the Baltimore banner, covered that rally. President Biden was full of praise for Wes Moore, he called him the real deal and went through his accolades and bona fides that he's a Rhodes scholar, a nonprofit leader, and President Biden said that, you know, Wes Moore is the person to lead Maryland in this moment. And he, of course, as expected took a dim view of Republican candidate Dan Cox pointed out that he is an election conspiracy theorist and said that it's not patriotic to not want to support the outcome of a fair election. And what else did mister Biden have to say about the election in general, his overarching theme sounds similar to what we've been hearing from him in recent days? President Biden told the crowd at buoy state university that he's optimistic and that Democrats are the right choice to move the nation forward and that Republicans will take the nation backwards, you know, banning access to abortion care, cutting social security and Medicare, really the themes we've heard from President Biden throughout and he encouraged people to go out and vote and of course vote democratic is what he wanted them to do. Why Were We Able to Know the Winner of the 2016 Election in Hours?

"On earth then were we able to know the winner of the 2016 presidential election within hours? Why is it that we were able to know that Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton with Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Arizona, having enough ballots be counted so what is different about 2016 versus 2020 versus 2022. What's the difference exactly? Oh, the difference is that they changed some of the laws. And they changed some of the procedures because they never want 2016 to happen again. You see, in 2008, 2012 and 16 presidential elections, we know who wins on election night. We know who wins and we see how they're doing and that kind of orderly necessary process of I lost this person is the next president or whatever is very important. It's healthy. So why is it that 6 years later, we're moving backwards. So we can know Donald Trump won the presidency on election night in 2016. Why were we able to count those ballots mister Biden orderly and mannerly and in an organized fashion in 2016, but we can't do it in 2022. Executive director in Arizona of Maricopa County said here is the canvas schedule. The canvas schedule is early ballots will be posted on the evening of November 8th at 8 p.m.. Students were protesting the creation of a private armed police force. That document details how the university would create a police force to patrol its campuses. Critics have questioned how the force will be held accountable. What you just got the tuition Bill. Joe Biden Forgot Democrats Claimed 'Election Fraud' First

"Democracy only works. Only if we choose to respect the rule of law and the institutions that were set up in this chamber behind me. Only if we respect our legitimate political differences. I will not stand by and watch. I will not the will of the American people be overturned by wild conspiracy theories and baseless evidence free claims of fraud. I will not stand by and watch elections in this country, stole all my people who simply refuse to accept that they lost. Shall we go into the wayback machine mister Biden to just 5 years ago when Hillary Clinton and most Democrats were claiming that somehow Donald Trump and Russia Russia stole the election from Hillary Clinton for 5 years we've been told that president Trump was an illegitimate president. They launched two bogus impeachments all based upon lies because they didn't feel he was a legitimate president that he couldn't have won because Hillary's poll numbers showed she was winning. She had to have won. They had to have been cheated. We heard that for 5 years. And yes, Democrats refused to certify the election of the Electoral College because they believed that Trump had stolen the election. We don't have to go far back in history. Just 5 years to a Democrats spewed that nonsense and now we're being told that if you spew that nonsense today, you're a threat to the republic. And

"And he was Charlie, I can tell you something. Today here on your air, it's old news actually, but back in 2007, very oddly, you know, no law gets passed in Delaware without Joe Biden and his attorney general, son, making sure that it got passed. They actually passed a law that said that they were changing the statute of limitations on for sex abuser specifically. But it's very interesting. You would think that they would open it up for specifically children victims, child victims of sexual abuse, to be able to avoid that statute of limitations. No, actually, child victims of sexual abuse can not actually bring suit or case or criminal investigation against their perpetrator of that crime after 2007. So mister Biden with that law was actually protected, believe it or not.

Mister Biden had hoped to get assurances from Saudi leaders that it will increase oil production, but The Crown prince said they're almost tapped out. CBS is okay. And the problem for the U.S. is a global oil supply, but its own lack of refining capacity. I guess new prices are really a function of many, many things. One is the fact that America has a shortage of refining capacity, no refinery has been built in decades. And so even if you bring more oil to the market, if it can not be refined into gasoline, it will not lead to a drop of prices at the pump. The NY Times Just Discovered Biden Is Too Old for the Job

"Talk about something in particular, a New York Times article that was recently put out, titled an age, 79. Biden is testing the boundaries of age and the presidency. Much like with the COVID narrative, everything that we say becomes fact in about two years. So everything we're saying now on the right about any given subject matter. In about two years, you can be rest assured that the political left will be using those as talking points and not crediting us or taking accountability for everything that they've said that goes against actual reality. So I want to get into this article because apparently now The New York Times is becoming aware of Biden's age. It might be through all the gaffes that he's having on television might be from falling off his bicycle, and I in no way want to cheer this on gleefully as the article writes that we conservatives do. But let's read from this and see what we have to say. Just a year and a half into his first term. Mister Biden is already more than a year older than Ronald Reagan was at the end of two terms. If he mounts another campaign in 2024, mister Biden would be asking the country to elect a leader who would be 86 at the end of his tenure, testing the boundaries of age and the presidency. What a revelation. Again, something that we've been saying, this entire time. Not only is Biden, one of the oldest presidents we've ever seen. But he's been in government for nearly 50 years now. 50 years, and this is not something that's specific to him. We can look at a lot of other officials who are definitely testing the boundaries of age, and who have been in government in my opinion for way too long. Another New York Times article and opinion piece on Biden's age labeled our government as a gerontocracy. And that's not me as some young person coming at you and saying, you know, these old geezers are sitting and making all of these decisions. People agree with me about

CBS Gives a Pass to Jill Biden for Calling Latinos 'Tacos'

"So instead of attacking the First Lady, CBS decided we've got to lend her a helping hand cut for. Christina, let me switch gears here. First Lady Jill Biden is taking some heat after people took offense at comets. She made it a Latino rights event in Texas yesterday. Let's listen to what she said. With the understanding that the diversity of this community as distinct as the bogus of The Bronx as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio. All right, obviously equating tacos with the Latino community is the issue that many find incredibly offensive. Christina, what is The White House saying about this? Yeah, no comment yet from The White House this morning and those comments come a day before Mexican president Lopez Obrador is here today to meet with mister Biden so the timing is especially uneasy. Look, those remarks from the First Lady came as part of a prepared speech praising the work of a well-known activist, the national association of Hispanic journalists, condemned the comments, saying in part that Latinos should not be reduced to a stereotype. Vlad. That is exactly right. Christina, thank you very much. We all agree with that. Absolutely. First Lady's team probably huddling today. You think that up? Because when you know Joe Biden, that's not who she is, but it didn't come out correctly. You know, I'm not a big fan of breakfast tacos, grace maker. It's, I don't know. I'm a biscuit guy. So give me a sausage biscuit. I don't like a crumbled up in the doctor. Well, it's just a little too heavy for me. You put the salsa yet. It's just a bit much. It's a for lunch. It's a bit much. Compare that with Microsoft's 39% net margin, Facebook's 33%, Google 30% and apple's 27%. Yeah, mister Biden, they note Karl rove notes in the PC. Mister Biden won't confiscate tech company profits. Why? Maybe because they're liberal companies led by liberals on their board that donate to liberals and help keep liberals in power. You understand, right? "With only months left and chilled the midterm elections political observers say the climate right now is brutal for Democrats To that end president Joe Biden is trying this week to change the messaging America still has a choice to make A choice between a government by the few four of the few are government for all of us Those remarks coming this week at an AFL CIO convention where the president also acknowledged many Americans fears about out of control inflation This morning Politico founding editor John Harris on how mister Biden's messaging is being received right now The message is look I'm fighting for you I'm doing my best I'm on your side Way more on your side than the Republicans are The disconnect is in terms of what he says and what happens with each round of new inflation numbers It's clear that so far the administration has not found the policy remedies that are going to bring this inflation problem under control So John this is a real dilemma for The White House and quite frankly for the country for people who can't afford these higher prices What is there for the president to do at this point It is for him to do what he was trying to do in that AFL CIO speech which is to say look I'm on your side I'm not denying the problem I admit it's there I'm your best hope for getting it under control But it's a very very stiff headwind as people even inside The White House They acknowledge in these midterm elections They're just a few months away Usually it's in the summer of our Labor Day at the latest where elections kind of become lacked in and there's not much you can do So really time is of the essence for The White House Let's switch gears here a little bit We had primary election results We had a South Carolina congressman who voted to impeach president Trump losing another GOP member who was critical of the former president able to hang on We also have an election denier winning a GOP Nevada primary for Secretary of State What does that telling you Well it's a mixed decision that South Carolina primaries were a nice way of looking at president Trump's former presidents Trump power You've got two members of Congress Nancy mace and Tom rice They were both critical of president Trump's behavior leading up to January 6th and in the wake of January 6th He sought revenge against both of them Split decision Nancy mace won the GOP nomination Tom rice's.
