S. mainly along the Gulf coast it's swirling around there and it will slowly detach part of it and send it up the Mississippi River valley as that happens by Sunday and Monday a little bit of that may get into Ohio doesn't look like a lot part of what's gonna help us actually keep it out here's the rain it'll actually watch some of that out of the air but what does get here could still give us a pretty good sunsets if there's even enough for it to end up on your car it's just gonna be a little bit of dust it's not gonna be you know where you're you're you're you're trying to brush off an inch worth of of mark off of your car so it's on its way mainly into Sunday and Monday for parts of Ohio in the meantime we have showers and thunderstorms to deal with their son out there now those will continue tonight and overnight low down to seventy two Saturday eighty four degrees some scattered showers and thunderstorms it's gonna be a warm muggy weekend eighty five on Sunday with some storms and that Monday up to eighty seven ARI Marshall thank you very much it is it should be it's eighty six right now thank you for listening to the market place or show he said it was gonna be more like a haze yeah yeah kind of like a gritty sunsets these can be hazy my place later tonight.

"Here it is another farm five on farm small farm smart where I am. I'm located basically on the nose of Iowa on the border of Iowa and Illinois and the Mississippi River valley and it's not a big town we live in what's called the Quad cities which is a collection of for cities and there's probably maybe three hundred to four hundred thousand thousand people here and it's a little behind on the times. I mean compared to where you are in California. We're probably like ten years behind everything that's going on there and there isn't a really big local food movement. It's starting to catch on. We have food hub. there's a lot of farmers markets that are smaller the farmer's market that I go to is the freight house farmers market and there's probably about two hundred to five hundred vendors. It's hard to tell but it is fairly large. It is kind of a difficult market to get into but I was lucky enough that in my first year I was able to get into the market and had not been for getting into the market. I really don't think I'd be talking you or I'd be farming because really even restaurants now. A lot of don't really buy a lot of these or they do and they just have you know they prefer to get it just delivered to him through distributor. I'm some sort there's not a whole lot of farm-to-table restaurants. We have only really one true farm-to-table restaurant here ear and I can get a decent price but the things that I sell a lot of times the majority Jordy of things that you know Curtis. This talked about does well at Restaurants are the things that do really well for me. Have farmers market like Migraines just started growing those last year and I've probably gotten like one or two restaurants to buy them and they will buy by. Maybe one to two pounds a week and I could probably so you know ten pounds at the farmer's market per week. When you first I started out like if we go back now to two thousand fourteen. That's the year where you know is gardening is a business. Let's call it was that the year you got into that good farmers farmers market yeah initially I started off and I bought like a small greenhouse from local we'll farm and feed sore and I started growing a bunch of transplants and applied to the market and was waiting waiting and waiting to hear back because difficult market to get into and I don't think I found out until like the beginning of April. Can I just had one spot. I can provide spot there and it was pretty scary. Area first because you know has taken a lot of classes at school was putting off homework to go in the greenhouse and pot up a bunch of tomatoes listen. That was really the main thing that I was counting on being able to get some cash flows started right away was selling transplants as soon as I got there because I I really didn't have that much knowledge of how early you could start crops you know and all of the gardens that had before you know starting the middle of May and quitting in September. He said that I I you're getting into that market or getting accepted to that market. It was a scary thought. Were some of your biggest worries at that time my only where it was really the AM. I going to get into the market. That's where you need to go. if I'm going to sell anything I guess I was more worried you know if I was wasting my time. it was kind of a leap of faith. I didn't have farming friends or you know I wasn't at all familiar with anything involved around. You know what I know now and get the didn't WanNa waste my time knowing that how did those first few weeks or months. Go it that farmers market. Did they live up to expectations. I didn't have a lot of expectations I I mean there. There were days where you know. We made like twenty bucks. I'm like Oh that's cool. We got something you know. It was me and my wife just going to the market and hanging out and meeting people when selling what we were growing I guess the only way that I look at it. Now is I gotta take for granted not having expectations because if I go to the market now and I make twenty or sixty bucks like I'm probably going to be pretty. P. Owed for the rest of the day..

The winds mixed with snow reports of seventeen inches in some parts of the state approaching mid margin. The US some Americans still feeling winter and for others. Spring storms are in the air Michael sixteen past the hour on first light as we're joined by meteorologist dean devore dean dangerous not over yet. Yeah. Well, this storm really has two sides. The winter blast side of it is was an amazing situation in parts of Denver and up through the northern plains. This storm is deepening bombing out as we say. And so that's the the cold side of it. An interesting phenomenon Minneapolis this time is in the warm rain sector of this storm. They had the thick fog in Minneapolis today. Then there's the severe side of this storm that's in the southeast. So we're going to see a more severe thunderstorms today. Jackson, Mississippi, all the way up to Detroit and just I think maybe a chance of one in Chicago too. But Cincinnati Nashville, Birmingham, you all could see damaging winds flooding downpours travel disruptions, even isolated tornadoes in severe weather area that you can see on AccuWeather dot com. Just as these last two storms like this have done was we get into later today in tonight tomorrow wind becomes an issue with a strong max storm Mackey, whether it's local store max wind gusts to seventy eighty miles. As per hour, many places here, and that'll experience spread into the northeast here as we get into the next couple of days at least there in the northeast, and we'll get us mild over the next couple of days before return to reality in some chill as we head towards spring arrival week next week, Michael does any of this that has a rain many any place, and there might be some flooding. We're definitely going to see some localized flooding in some of the heavier downpours in the showers and thunderstorms. The flooding concern continues for the middle of the country. Now is snow melted. In all the rain on top of it in areas. Yes. So systemic flooding in the mid part of the country all along the big river basins in that's covered as well and AccuWeather dot com. All right. Thanks meteorologist dean devore's seventeen and a half past.

"Isolated tornadoes possible across the south and the Mississippi River valley and absolutely some hail could be expected as well. In commercial real estate. You know, it's a hard comment to make because it's a big universe. Right. It's it's invest I'll try it's global and we invest in more opportunistic things in core. Plus in debt, I would say generally, I if I stay here in the US, we're in a more mature part of the cycle that values have moved up. There's not a lot of distress. And you have this headwind rising rates the positive side of the story in commercial real estate is that normally this late in the cycle. We have a lot more building going on. And we have things that look not great on the lending side. And both of those things have been more constraints. So new constructions running at one point four percent in the US versus.
