"And then if this Pokémon stadium has functionality to import from Pokémon home, you could put them back that's crazy. Pokémon car seat stadium, sorry. People are saying that there's no transfers, which sounds actually right because how would they do that? They'd have to build a whole new system and linking thing and they were just probably not going to do that for Nintendo Switch online. But whatever you still have the mini games in Pokémon stadium. Then the two most important games, ten 80 snowboarding and excite like 64, two of my favorites for that system. So it seems like it's coming in this order too. I mean, hopefully they mix it up. Maybe this is just me and miss Marie, but like the way they have it listed was like, these games in 2022 and then these games are 2023 and they sort of had them placed in order so it's like we're going to get Mario party Mario party two and Mario party three back to back to back. That might be a little much. Can we get something else to add to the flavor between there? But we'll see. The biggest surprise of the day for me was Miyamoto coming out and saying he wanted to talk about pikmin and be like, hey Miyamoto, I always want to talk about pikmin two. Let's do it. And then he talked about pikmin bloom for a couple of minutes and said that game still exists. You should play it. And then he confirmed that pikmin four is still real and is in fact coming in 2023. Are you excited about this? 'cause I'm excited. What a roller coaster of emotions. I felt during that because immediately was like, oh shit, pikmin and oh, it's a stupid mobile game. I don't care. My morale is at an all time low and then he yes ended it and it's like guess what pikmin four is happening and I couldn't believe it. It was awesome. They didn't show much of the game, but they did show a screenshot basically. I love to pikmin three deluxe. It was definitely the best one of those games yet. So the idea that they could build on that and do even more and I don't know, something about the way that what they have shown like that screenshot of the bench that the player was underneath. It's like, oh, we're always kind of like in the Woods among litter. Like going into like an actual park, maybe that could change things. Like being like the little guy and a big park, that maybe there's more cool implications for human trash. What if it's an open world, it's huge. I mean, I think it could work. I think it can work. It's crazy. Because I love the first pikmin game and I have the second game and the third one never played it. What is wrong with it? I think you will adore pikmin three deluxe and pikmin two is great too, but pikmin three deluxe is just so solid. They streamlined it so nicely. Never played any of them. Looking forward to it. Really? Yeah. Good games. Didn't have a good old GameCube, you know? Oh. Well, eventually. The technology is here to rectify that. Yes. I'm going to do it. Every computer can support those on steam. Exactly. Just shove it into the USB slot. You just gotta be able to borrow one of Tam's game cubes. Oh, that's right. He's got like 11. Yeah. Let's see, Mario kart 8 deluxe wave three. They only confirm two of the courses so far, I believe, peach gardens and Mary mountain. But I saw those like Christmassy elements in Mary mountain and it got me ready. I'm ready for the holidays. I'm ready to go race on that track. It looks like a lot of fun. Too soon. I'm ready. I want to do my Halloween stuff first. I am ready for the time to track. They could still maybe have. I feel like one of their tracks they put out was kind of spooky maybe, maybe not. But spookier. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what's left to release of spooky tracks 'cause I'm not familiar with all the tracks from all the different games. So come on. There's a lot. That's a lot. This pack still has two more tracks to be revealed and so we're going to probably maybe that will come true. But also, it seems like this wave might come a little bit later. So maybe it'll be after Halloween when it actually releases because I don't think they said a release date or anything like that. Yeah, because that last wave came out pretty recently, I think, right? Like maybe less than a month ago? A month ago, yeah. That sounds right. So we're probably still like two or three months away. Well, two ish months away. And that would put us kind of up close and maybe past October. Yes, and then speaking of Halloween, bayonetta coming out October 28th. It is coming out October 28th and they showed up. I remember the date when I typed it in the dark. It's good for me. That game looks great. I can't wait, I can't wait to play a band out of two is a classic. I love it. I hope that bayonetta three lives up to it. We've known this as coming. It's just nice to get a reminder that, hey, this is still one of their big holiday releases. So what are the thoughts after seeing the latest from bayonetta? I just wanted to come out because I feel like it's one of those games that they've been teasing. They've been talking about. We've seen trailers or like 12 years now. I'm very happy. How long has it actually been? How long has it actually been?

"There's been so many people that come and ask for band aids because they cut their thumb up from having their thumb cross over the back. So again, I think it's just going to be awareness and spreading that this is very dangerous. You're handling something that can immediately put out somebody's life and you really need to take it upon yourself to get that education. I agree totally. There are products that are doing a better job, the gun industry is doing a better job at bringing out more products for a lot of different people. One of the movements that we've seen in the last few years are guns. Semi auto is designed to be easier to run. So you have the shield easy. You've got the light rack from Ruger and guns of that nature. A lot of them being, well, you actually have three 80s and you even have 22s that are sort of like full size ish 22s, even revolvers in that way. I mean, what's your experience? What are your thoughts on those types of guns that are maybe a little bit less traditional than just a full size 9? So I know a lot of people try to knock those smaller caliber guns or the different EZs. But I think they're very useful. We have lots of women who come in here with arthritis and you know it's very hard for them to rack those slides. I mean, it's standing impossible. So I think it's very helpful. It's very nice to see that they're coming out with new stuff that is going to be more accessible to different people. Like we said earlier, not every gun is going to be perfect for everyone. Everybody needs their own specific gun for what they're using it for. And what they need. You know, it's funny. So I've shot the shield EZ like when it first came out in three 80. It's not a tiny three 80. And it is so fun to shoot because there's just not much recoil. And of course it's easy to run the gun as well. But it's what people do to their 9s, the regular carry guns. They try to port the barrel or do comps or add weight or do these things, so it shoots flat. Well, guess what shoots flat? Yeah. A380 shoots really flat. Right? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, so what's next for you? What are you seeing your journey as a firearms trainer is this something you see yourself doing in the future? Absolutely. Yeah, I would definitely want to continue doing what I do. I learned something new basically every time I go out on the range, I really want to take some classes with miss vickie farnham. There's a lot of different other female instructors that would love to take classes from and non female instructors, of course. But I really want to just I really enjoy what I do. It's very rewarding. Knowing that somebody comes to me after the class is over and they're like, broke, I learned so much from you, you know? And especially people with renewals. You know, I've learned so much from you. You know, other people teach us some ways and I find it very enlightening to know that I sent somebody home, knowing they're going to dream about these safety rules and how to work with a gun. Well, it's a good point. And I know that you guys and gals at FRC take the training aspect really seriously. So I know sometimes with the concealed carry training or especially renewals, there can be a bit of an attitude of like, oh, you know, this is just we got to check this box and whatever, but I love that you guys are going, no, this is important stuff and we're going to make sure you walk away with some new nugget of information that's going to be helpful orchid keep you safe or keep you out of jail. I mean, that's certainly part of a concealed carry class. It's not the when to shoot and how to shoot. It's the whole legal part of it, which I mean, that's another part that people just have no idea, right? Yeah, absolutely. A lot of people are very, you know, clueless. And rightfully, so I mean, how are you gonna try to deliberately learn about it? But that's a very important part is the legal aspect. Yeah. I mean, there's no shame in not knowing because look, if you come and you're a dentist or you're a Carpenter, I don't know anything about that. And why would I claim to know stuff like that and it drives me a little bit crazy when it comes to shooting training and all that stuff when people are like, they don't want to admit they just don't know. And it's like, why would we expect you to know? It's okay. This is not your world. This is not your 40 hour a week thing. This is what we do. Right. So Brooke, thanks for being with us. I mean, if someone is in the Baton Rouge area, how did they find more about what you guys are up to? So they can definitely go on our website WWW dot FRC BR dot com. They can see our training calendar, see what we're doing. They can always call come in and ask questions as needed. If they're not in the batter's area, there's a miss Marie pace and Lafayette. She works the tactical rose. There's also the range century defense. They can, you know, they can contact these different ranges and they host those classes as well. Yeah. Good stuff. And we've talked about it before, but FRC has a really cool program called the sentinel program that will run you through a bunch of different classes. And then once you graduate, you're pretty squared away,.

Burn jimmy jerkins And of course coming off of a run Pretty successful run with jerry door for as well To mike doyle who handles the stronach Horses but pink. Floyd looking to win this Early for what the third or fourth time in a row. It's been a long time and Unfortunately i think Father time might be creeping up on him and You know the super stonehenge turn the tables on them in. The jacques cartier has been fantastic. Hey i've tried to knock the source. Before and i just keep swinging so but We'll see what happens. I just think superstorm. And the now now i don't disagree and You know by teller will do right by pink floyd if it if it if it becomes not that not that eighty-eight buyer beaten four lengths in the in. The jacques. cartier. Means that you know he's ready for after care But you know is nine Let's talk about the oaks and it's a field that ten. I really good group and i. I've make half. This field is eligible to win here. Yeah Laurynas should be the favorite. Yep never run past seven furlongs so you know something to consider Jillian marie does nothing but win. And i've loved that horse. It's two starts and just a tough horse. She keeps winning curtains. Catch i think will appreciate the distance that one train really well the other day it really pointing to this race So it depends. How little pressure wanna take the raina Again another one. That just had said nothing wrong. I wasn't the biggest fan of the last word Baby is trying to keep her attention. because he was pushing it. A little on her but You know money for wrote coming out of a tree. So that's that one could be a juicy lit a price and you know open company coming against the restricted horses to be honest Something you can look at as well. I agree about money for row and and That's a affiliate. We got familiar with Via brian lynch Who also trades as Trains For the roma team and one horse he hadn't mentioned is the maiden. The violence maiden emily lean and This is a horse that is is inching forward inching forward with every start and with the added distances. Well i don't think emily impossible and is obviously going to come in here as a as a price i mean just got beat a neck in a maiden race that miss marie that breed hays runs the carpet diem philly I thought that Emily looked like she deserved at least a an exotic consideration. Yeah and and even more impressive finished second tar flash drive who won the selena And she's quite a nice source. So the you know the barn and you can tell by one at a two year old ran into the princess elizabeth and finish third there so the horses and that work was actually quite nice. The forty eight th street One of the clockers had turned to me and said you know that was quite a nice work for the source. so yeah. There's there's several in here that could win. So that's why it's a great race ten horses you might throw out and that's about it. Turn to the gray to royal north and a lot of familiar horses in here. And i just came from colonial on monday. Where michelle level had to she's going to have to regroup One of the steak one of her a handful now state runners but she sends change control up here for the royal north amalfi coast That the five year old mayor that you know certainly is more than credible. "Horse racing radio dot net. That's a star studded lineup. Now well anytime. Jude veld's involved. It's a star studded lineup. But you're right. It is and i'll tell you what when there's good racing out there. It kind of lens toward their being star studded lineup. Yep that's what happened. The the big names the big guns come crawling come crawling out of woodwork crawling out. All right let's head back up to woodbine. Let's wrap this Abo- on his baby race number seven. It would mind Rate three vigil six furlongs on the all weather super stonehenge. Jacques cartier degree three last time over one. Only pink. pink. Floyd is back nine year old yelling. Twenty six for thirty three in his life. They all come over. The all weather would mind reading. Like go makes his first start trainer. Michael doyle shipping north embolden off. The claim gonna try the all weather for the first time it's so hard to handicap these races and not pick pink floyd but i got a bad feeling volley. I think maybe Maybe follow time has finally caught up. He's on the other side of the mountain. Is what we're saying with pink. Loyd i would think so. I think it's possible. I picked super stonehenge against him last time. In the cartier. I'm gonna pick superstorm hedge against him and everyone else in the vigil once again on sunday He's just been great in his seven tries on the synthetic surface at woodbine. Three wins three. Second place finishes. He drubbed pink. Lloyd and everyone else last time stalking the pace winning going away that he's going to get the same type of trip maybe stalking. Not so quiet. Even green light go can show speed. I think super stonehenge sits right behind for patrick husbands. He pushes the button at the quarter pole. And they're gone. It sounds so easy. Trevor as trevor denman would say. Put your binoculars down. Gobi first in line to collect wow. Ibm you'll different. I think it's going to be a little different tomorrow on sunday. I no I'm going to assume somebody is going to press. Superstar superstar estimate the lead onset on sunday. Think that's the problem. I don't see the target. You don't think go. I don't see the target no. I don't think that's quiets fast enough to go. I think superstar engines fasten them. So that's the problem. Which is why. I'm going to go back to the pink. Lloyd one more time. I'm given pink. Lloyd one more chance hopefully needed to knock the rust off last time. Didn't have the cleanest trip. I'm going to try and one more time hoping that he's able to exploit the fact that superstorm hand. You may have to do all the dirty work on sunday. So in the vigil. I'm taking the good old boy. pink lloyd. one more time goes race number. Seventy eight is the oaks mile and an eighth much. Better chance of getting a queen's plate runaround of this than you out of that The trial i'll tell you that and this is for the phillies It's only at the mile and this also goes with the mile and an eighth. I should say so a nice way to prep for that mile. And a quarter of the queen's plate Is a good race. Yeah and these phillies are every bit as talented as as the colts geldings in the plate trial earlier if not more so I don't know what price is going to be in this race is head scratcher for me. I went to number three. Miss marie for Rita hayes and david moran. She's been basically thirty. Two one in both of her career start so they didn't think that the betters didn't think much of her. Maybe it's the fact that the connections are not high profile connections there and don't run a lotta horses miss. Marie debuted at six furlongs. She did nothing. She came back at a mile and a sixteenth not expected to do anything and she flew home late to get up in the final jump or two. I think that effort is good enough to win this race on sunday. Maybe she'll be even better just third starter career second time going long. I know that she's not going to be twenty nine to one like she was last time and she's also come back to work fast since that race. So maybe maybe they figured something out with the daughter of carpet diem. I don't know if i i was impressed with the way. She searched that home in that last race. And i think she'll have no problem going the mylan. Let's see miss. Marie can beat winners. Actually pulled pager jude. All-star studies like take the millions against the The winter's the big fat that so. I thought this. Marie could win off the mayor race. No question.

It'd be successful at that as an entrepreneur. Not cut out to be an entrepreneur. I understand that as an entrepreneur. If you really like what you're doing you're far more likely to be successful. You drag yourself into it. Every day. i learned years ago. I'm not salesman. you know. I love my product. What i do and i can talk about it but if you asked me to go out every day and slog it slog and slog at. I call reluctance and after a week or so. I'm done and that's not a that's not a career path or me. I will not be successful. You will find me. You know old saying if you wanna find a salesman. Go to the pool hall. Two o'clock in the afternoon you'll find a bunch of them okay. That's awful but you know. That's where i would be. I'd be drinking beer. The pool hall at two o'clock in the afternoon if i was a salesman so find something you love to do and do that. Learn how to be successful at it now. I think that's super important. We don't necessarily feel renounced do that and just knowing someone with your track record that your leadership bracket to share them africa that's gonna be a great reminder for my audience remember yes making a live in rome or when when you put out a ball having a life making the light on quality of light. It doesn't pan out burson happen into where you want to be even at the lowest wrong. If that gets you in the door and just allow your passion your love. That industry they helped just level up in st insistent. I think that's a great reminder because it's so easy just to kind of stay stop making a live and providing for your family major. Your children have opportunities but you know we talk about leader share and just truly allowing the best of the best rise to the top and they were out of alignment from those spaces retrieval passionate about. That's why a lot of times don't rise to the top. You have when i started this business. I i didn't take a vacation for ten years. That didn't bother me okay. I got asked a panel. The other day about work life balance and i just cracked up. I mean for an entrepreneur. There is no such thing in the beginning. Okay if if work and if you don't have a spouse that understands that you got a problem. My wife and i started the together so it was a joint effort but we didn't take a vacation for at least ten years now. I'm make a very nice living. The wife is passed which is a tragedy. but it's life so it's just me now. And i still come to work and i love it and i'm able to do a lot of things now that i couldn't the i ten years because i've building a business but i have no regrets about that. You know our kids were already grown. Shed five kids when i married her. So you know. I've i've got. I've got great grandchildren. Now they were older than i've got boys in their sixties It's it's it's it's fun and if you like it the seventy eighty hour weeks don't matter it allows us exceed allows you to get ahead in. You're having fun. Doing it announced that. There's some hard time. So misunderstand me but overall i like what i do. Yeah he burnt were. Now you're latest book. It's not tell my audience where you can grab copy of that. And it's both payroll dot com again. That's the arul y. r. o. l. l. dot com. And we want you to pick up a copy of that. Because i know there are a lot of small mistakes that leads to bigger mistakes down the line on sapiro now. Miss marie as you have seen small business owners startups don't some of the ero- process s in their inception. I understand that those mistakes can lead to some big penalties worse. Some mistakes maybe about a re that you consistently see small business owners may over time well. The first one is understanding the requirements the tax requirements registering your business and your people calculating the taxes withholding them deposited them reporting them answered inquiries from the irs. All that thing of knowing what. The law is concerning taxes is extremely important next big error that many businesses make particularly small businesses in fact the labor department estimates that seventy percent of us businesses. Screw this up seventy percent. That's classifying your workers whether they're independent contractors or employees and whether they're subject to overtime regulations or not subject overtime regulations. Those things are missed on all the time and the third one is probably understanding. The rest of the law outside of the tax law in how it applies to payroll employees paychecks. And much more all the things you have to do to stay legal well while wow now that's rate information something else. I wanted to comment on and you know this was pretty amazing me to find out and you know. The irs issued more than thirteen billion dollars of employment tax penalties on businesses ruin the fiscal year twenty nineteen. And you know your book your team your business you help. Business leaders not only avoid those penalties. But it gets to it yet them reversed now. Do you have any safety. Share stories of this businesses. Small businesses was not the swamp by those. What really set back by some of those penalty or expecting hardship. We'll both We had a travel agency in california. And they've been misclass- fine employees as independent contractors instead of employees stated california came in did their audit and the penalties were in five figures and interest on top of that it almost put him out of business because they miss classified people because they weren't paying attention. We had an immigrant family who had a business successful but because of their culture and the way they grew up they didn't believe in paying tax and so they just didn't pay and when they got caught it was devastating and this corporation. The owner took all distribution since taking employment w to compensation because it saves tax money. Well the irs as their want to do came in and said well. You've got to pay yourself reasonable compensation. So we're gonna take a bunch of this that you claim to as distributions and reclassified as compensation subject to withholding taxes and. Here's about holding tax withholding taxes you owe fico and employer fayka fuss penalties and interest for the years. You didn't do it right. We had a doctor. He has long term bookkeeper. Quit yet another girl in the office. And said i can do this. I can be your office manager. Well she took all his tax deposits and pocketed them so a couple of years. Go by and she's getting the letters and of course destroying them. He's not saying it. Ninety one day revenue agent shows up and it all falls to pieces. She ends up going to jail but he has all taxes were do all penalties all the interest. They seized his retirement accounts. They seized his bank accounts. They seized everything was just a total disaster that he had nowhere of because he wasn't he hadn't outsourced wasn't paying attention and You know that's that's a great reason to get it. And that's not uncommon. We see that on a regular basis employee. Theft is is huge and employ. Embezzlements are huge. So yeah if you don't pay attention to what's going on and you don't follow the law. The irs is they never became the kinder gentler irs. That they were supposed to become well. This is good information. S league or small business owners and startup that they you know our business writings business magazine. Business only highlight whoa success stories. And they don't talk about some of the things that we have to navigate as small business owners as i think. That's what your book as well. Now what i liked the. What was the talk of a payroll disaster recovery plan. So i had thought about heard.
