"All right. Let me get into a couple more topics here. You know, I want to talk about this LeBron having did you too much list lifting here? This is before we get into the Master Lock of the night off. So LeBron James tonight 34 minutes last game 32, those are down by the way compared to last season they're down but this was an opportunity wasn't it? This Grizzlies Team Missing? Ja Morant missing Jaren Jackson Jr. This was an opportunity to put a game away early and have LeBron play 25 minutes if the bench shows up and does what they're supposed to do today to do that. Look at the Lakers bench tht - 22 Wesley Matthews - 8 Montrezl Harrell - 13 Markieff Morris - 10 That doesn't work. That's last season. That's what we saw last season. Remember last season would always said is please Lakers bench pretty please. Hang in there. Just stay even all you need to do stay even with the Lakers opponent and we're good cuz the Lakers starters are going to have a positive Place - most nights if the bench stays even came over. That's it. The way you beat the Lakers was you outscored their bench and To see that tonight to see the same issue rear its ugly head. We saw it against Portland to that's got to be a little bit concerning cuz we don't want LeBron James don't have to do that heavy lifting late in the game. We don't want Anthony Davis have to do that kind of heavy lifting. I'd rather see a guy like Montrezl Harrell get going Wesley Matthews get going. I'd rather see those guys put up numbers and then tell them LeBron and AD you guys took it easy tonight? We've got this didn't happen. It's just one game, right? It's not like we need to sound the alarm or anything like that, but it's something to keep an eye on is this going to be an issue moving forward with the Lakers bench? I don't think it is. I think again, I think this Lakers bench, especially when kcp and cruise or back is much better than it was last season. Night and day but tonight it felt too much like last season in terms of okay the bench gave up a big run LeBron come and stop the bleeding off. That's not what you want to see. It. Don't get me wrong. LeBron is great. LeBron is tremendous. He's amazing that he's still doing this 36. But how many times do you want to ask him to do that? Not often, I'd rather he gets a rest up during the season and he's saved this kind of stuff for the playoffs not for a game in January against the Grizzlies missing their two best players. This was an opportune time. They missed it. Is it the end of the world now, it's not was one game. And again, it was the last game of a road trip. So a lot, you know a lot of factors here, but still that's what we want to see long-term. We want to see the sneakers bench at the very least holding even with the opponent maybe even gaining a little bit of ground because that's going to lead to in-game load management, which I think is going to be critical for the Lakers this season..

"Not blend well not playing. Well don't like watching that. And i gotta hold on hold on before he go who's got a leaf blower blows nice sweet sweet sweet. Let me just jump in here. Give credit to rob mahoney. According to samya. No god for the status. Let's go yeah give it to them. It's not proprietary information stats aren't proprietary information. However let's give okay. I like to point out. That the wizards are oh and for like to credit. Dot com for that stat. Who's a charge. Standings barbecued steve. But i'd like to credit him for letting me know watching wizards question wizards. Because you're seeing it already happened. Is this westbrook's fault. That's what people are pointing the finger media. Westbrook triple double the nineteen fourteen thirteen in the three games. He's played he's not shooting. Well forty percent. I think from the floor. I'd like to credit cute steve. I believe for that status. Well one for ten from three a lot of turnovers but is this his full. I saw zillur in his newsletter this morning pointing out that when bill and russell out there the wizards plus twenty nine. So they're they're good. It's when you for crediting zillur. Thank you for goes face ciller but when westbrook is not out there that's when they're falling apart so i mean i i'm just a little worried that like oh and four west russ is the new guy there at his fault. I'm not sure that's the case. That's the easy angle. But i'm not sure i actually by that but i i know people will say it's westbrook. That's why you know great. You got trouble doubles so what they lose. What do you think about the stats. Don't backup that it's westbrook's problem. I mean there's so much more there to the wizards and you guys. We've sort of talked by the defense. They just don't care so teams can score. Whenever they want a westbrook is out there. Doing what we know westbrook can do. I mean he's gotten rid of that. Three point shot a little bit. He's going into that mid range which is his shot and he can do that so when he's on the court when he's on the floor the team's going okay so i think he does deserve to be have. The finger pointed out in the past on some of the other teams. He's been on yes because he tried to do too much. But when he's out on the court he's playing okay. The wizards are just a badly constructed team. And that's really the problem here again. Davis bertans had an okay game last night but they signed him for five years and eighty million. He doesn't play defense. You know So they're just they're just not a team. That's that's constructed. Well enough to really compete. You bring in westbrook again. The triple doubles gripe. He's not shooting all that well but he's he's sort of contributing it's just where else. Where else is the talent on this roster automobile and westbrook. That's the real question. You wrestle westbrook. As as a guard on your team. I e again i have some scrappy defenders around because russell westbrook isn't going to be scrapped in defensively all the time. It's just you've seen it happen. That's just the way it's going to work. Reactor moore and not being in the lineup. Definitely hurts he is one of those scrappy dudes but also russell westbrook. Sitting games also hurts. He's also missed a game. So i think you can you know. Throw some Some blame on that for that loss because russell has burke wasn't around they need scrappy dudes in the lineup. So i think he's akbar guy and we're gonna play lots around russell westbrook because that's what you need in terms of constructed roster around russell westbrook. How long does brooks get here. You think trae like. How bad does this have to get until they will fire and say well. We got to get somebody else in here right to ship. It will depend on if they lose against the bulls again on thursday. Lose to the polls again. Maybe that's it. Maybe they elmont man. What are you doing. You're losing the bulls twice in a week. I think who knows. I mean maybe they valued the stability in having the same coach there for awhile. You know i remember randy. Wittman seemed like this guy was going to be fired for three straight seasons. I kept bringing him back bringing them back bringing them back. There is the pre existing relationship with westbrook which factors into the decision as well but the team looks exactly like they did last year despite the fact that they did bring in another player you know there was no john wall last year so theoretically you upgraded just by having another all star caliber player out there on the court but they look no different than they did last year and the problems. That the wizards had last season. Are they exact same problems they have this season. It's to be tough to find somebody else to blame eventually for that. So i mean you gotta think it's a a month. Maybe i mean i guess it'll depend on how this month goes if they turn it around quickly if they're able to look like they're at least competitive for the play and tournament the eastern conference. I guess that helps. But you gotta beat the bulls on thursday. The question is what would they be better with. John wall playing instead of russell westbrook because he plays on both sides. Thanks a good question. I mean maybe in a show filled with good questions today. Be the best time to think about the great we need to get to. Jd's wonder woman nineteen eighty-four review. We have an update on the severity of injury. Just quickly here. I guess the news could be worse. Tell me if i'm wrong guys. According to the team the grizzlies star point guard has a grade. Two left ankle sprain. He's expected to miss three to five weeks. That timeline would put them around late january early february. Probably in coming back. He's going to miss like fifteen games. Maybe a little bit more. Even they're already missing. Jaren jackson junior justice winslow can memphis survive. Guys lee can kenley. Are they in trouble here. Having obviously their star player out for a decent chunk of time yeah. I mean because they got the win when he sat against the nets there the other night but that was obviously a close. But yeah the lakers. Back the back as well coming up. It's just hard to see. The grizzlies can really hang on at this moment. Because i a deep team and they need any wins. I can get and obviously win. Job was playing a hadn't broken through yet. So yeah this this. This season could get away from them. Pretty quickly here but the three to five weeks is good. You know a younger guy. You know he's gonna want to get out there sir. Hopefully it's on the shorter side of that That that that term they are neat. Ken get back within three weeks. But so many games playing so close together that the grizzlies could find themselves in a bit of a whole. He pretty quickly kyle anderson slow. Give him the ball..

"Single day from keyshawn jay williams zubin right into greenie weekday mornings on. Espn radio right. Time to talk a little bit of nba action here on keyshawn. Jay will and zubin in for that we are going to bring in. Brian win horse. Espn senior nba writer. Brian good morning to you. And let's start with that spencer dinwiddie news. How big of a blow as to the nets to lose a guy like spencer did whitney and how do they proceed going forward while the nets are trying to win a championship this year. They feel like they've got a championship level team and they just lost a core player and he allows them to do a lot of different things with their lineups. One of the strengths. This nets team is the way they can play different ways because they have and he can be lead guard. The other reality is look. The eastern conference is tightly packed You couldn't have a really good record in the east this year. End up with the five seed and there's a possibility that kyrie irving is going to miss a bunch of games this year. He's already sitting out back to back. Said he gets dinged up and now the guy that they had to be their lead guard. Kyrie irving as insurance is not going to be there and so they are deep team they can probably weather this storm better than other teams can but also on a personal level for spencer. This was a contract here. He does have player option next year. For twelve million dollars so he's protected but he was looking to hit it big in the free agent market and now that's going to be imitated impact impacted by this injury. I don't know if this correlates. In any way to be honest. Wendy but i still wonder if james harden is being floated with the nets and the lack of depth. Thou- within witty out. Maybe make something. Let's go with Three prongs star attack but also takes away another piece for them to offer up. Does this factor in at all in his james harden really so on radar with the nets team. Well james harden would love to be in brooklyn. He's made that abundantly clear. But i just don't know if the nets have the package of players that really excites the rockets and one of the things that the rockets of kind of made clear. And i gotta tell you. I don't blame them for this. The rockets made clear that want a premium package for a four james harden. And you look at kind of what the the lakers got for. Anthony davis a year and a half ago. I guess now where it was a bunch of promising young players. A budget draft picks. And the next. Just don't have that they don't have the brandon ingram. They don't have the lonzo ball and their future. Draft picks aren't is exciting. Because you think that they're going to be a good team and right now there's no other stars available. It's not like there's three superstars out there on the market and the nets can go shopping elsewhere. So i just think that the bit the rockets are are willing to let the bidding war go on james harden new by way despite all of his issues as off to a terrific start despite not being in great shape and i just don't think the nets habit i think it would take them to make a separate deal to juice their package and so while i understand. It's still on the board. And i can't rule out. I just don't see that as a trade match. We're talking to brian windhorst. Espn senior nba writer. So brian. yesterday we saw job mirant go down with an injury. I saw reports indicated that he left in a wheelchair. What's the latest with jaw. Yes so they're going to have an mri. Today the real question is what is the degree level of this ankle. Sprain if it is a second degree sprain. it's going to be weeks if it's a third degree spring is you know almost the worst thing you can have other than a broken ankle. It could be a couple of months and that's what they're going to turn this. Mri the scary thing about this injury. He was challenging a shot. He you know he's got an electric leaping ability. He jumped so high on this play and so he came crashing down so the hope is that it's just going to be something that is keeps about. You know maybe a couple of weeks. But the the the the velocity at which he went down is rough. And that's grizzlies team. That has already missing. Jaren jackson who their second best player for an undetermined amount of time as he recovers from the surgery with where the western conference is and the and the and the and how tightly packed. Is you lose your best player. Like john moran you lose him for for three four weeks. Without jaren jackson in seventy two game season it might be your recoverable grizzlies team and that would be unfortunate but also the reality. Wendy scared to think is there. The reigning champs. The la lakers lebron and a lead Is it possible to say. They are not only better but significantly better season while they're different and different in good ways and bad ways you know they. They changed their team quite a bit and especially at the center position you know last year. They had really high athlete. Rim protecting basket a glass cleaning centers in jail mcgee and dwight howard. And i know that those guys weren't core parts of their their star roster but those guys really define how they played especially defensively and now they have mantras harrell who is not a strong defender in fact last night in the game against portland. The blazers whole attack down the stretch. That game was to attack mantras and helped them win. That game and then mark assault is one of the shrewdest and smartest defenders out their former defensive player of the year but doesn't move like that so i still think they're going to be a very good defensive team but they're different and then on the perimeter with introducing dennis schroder and introducing the way they run their offense that they're trying to run their offense more through. Marcus saul that means less playmaking a little bit for lebron james which again could be a good thing to take some pressure off him but is different. So you look at the lakers. You see depth. You definitely see a great chance to repeat but it would not surprise me. If over the first couple of months of the season we see some choppy play from them because they have to alter just the way they go about their attack. Okay let's go back to. James harden really quick wendy for a second so we saw the other day. Daryl morey send out a tweet about james harden obviously der morey is now the general manager for the seventy sixers so. This was a little bit confusing. So i ask you. Does this mean that the seventy sixers are now talking to james harden and that's what was top of his or barrymore just need someone to help him with his social media. I mean daryl morey is a smart guy that was not a smart move that was instantaneously. Like what are you doing. And the rockets were pissed off about it and rightly so and and the league slapped him for because even though it may seem innocuous. There's a lot of tension there. I mean just the concept of having a negotiation over star player especially when it lasts over a long period of time. That's difficult then. You introduce the fact. That that daryl morey has just less that team. It's pretty much a wanted two billion situation. I can't remember in into almost twenty years of covering the nba where there's been this type of negotiation from guy that just changed general managers. Ju just change front offices. It's unheard of so everybody's a little bit jumpy about it. It doesn't mean that they're talks or any different the there have been offer swapped between the teams and they're not satisfactory right now and.

"It's like your your responsibility and how you got those numbers who got those numbers against that matters to me and I think it's just a it's a really miscarriage of justice to get like to give the guy who takes advantage of an opportunity as opposed to the guy who has to carry the way and his numbers look close. But not quite the same I. Just we're. We're we're we're waiting things in a completely wrong way. No offense to Michael Porter. Jr.. But the suggests that you know Joe John Moran Somehow has hasn't been the best rookie as he was during the regular season. I. Think it's unfair to what John Moran has had to do and what he has done. With all this going on in the country right now with the pandemic with the stimulus with financial issues and unemployment Rick Bucur just said, it's a travesty of justice. If anybody other than Jami rant wins bubble rookie of the year. Rick I'M GONNA I'm GonNa, go with order. Yeah I I'm. I'm giving your heart I'm GonNa go with porter just because look marantz there one in six. They may be one in seven today. They could go from the odds on favourite and the team that had to collapse a not to nevermind make the plane but there was a chance to even pulled away and didn't have to be a plan they were just an eighth. And played the Lakers in the first round. Now they're in ninth and if Portland and Phoenix Wind today or San Antonio wins and they lose, they will have gone from a stranglehold on hold on eighth two out of the plane scenario entirely. So for that reason I, understand all the guys that are missing missing justice winslow they're missing Jaren. Jackson. Junior they're missing Titus Jones. But I can't give it to a guy on a one in sixteen. That may go one in seven lose today who also hasn't been able to make a jump shot outside the paint so far in the restart. Okay. Okay. But. If you took in this is. Decided on my MVP's this year as well and. If you and my MVP and the bubble. Same thing. If you took Michael Porter Jr. if if you had Michael Porter Jr. on the Memphis Grizzlies as opposed to. Jami rant and I understand different different positions and all that. But let's say you put an equitable point guard on the team. It's not Moran but you put you put a decent point guard on the team and you put Michael Junior on that team does Michael Porter Jr. carry them to a different record. But it's still very well may be one in six I mean their teams not very good. But what I my point rick is I don't want to reward a guy who's teams one in six. We're giving awards just on the seven games that most teams have played so far in the bubble including Memphis, it's hard for me to give it to the guy who's team is one in six and they've been blown out and a lot of those games and I had a stranglehold on the thing and have been plummeting and and the other point marantz individual stats aren't that good i. know he played well against the Celtics the other night but prior to that I thought individually he struggled. So anyway you and I are going to have to agree to disagree on that one more. Properly we probably should even hold that vote to see what happens in today's game because maybe mine will change mirant if you can step up and lead his team to win over Milwaukee and get them into the plane scenario in the western conference, we're going to take a break there you're listening to Ryan mcdonagh and Rick Bucur on scowling pals coming back after the break we're get it get into the big news of the day and that is previewing the four huge games today in the battle for the eighth seed in the Western Conference, you're listening to Scallon Pals, on radio DOT com..

"Something, but it was it just always felt it was ten or eleven and Kudos to the Celtics for that. But I thought I thought he put up a valiant effort Louis. Special he is. And then missing, Jaren Jackson of course, because he's the other guard really there who can go out there and get them a basket I thought mirant somehow finished with thirteen assists because I didn't think he had anyone really positive tonight like you pass it to those guys and all they could really do is shoot no one else was able to sort of create or get themselves into the offense Iran had to do that. He was doing everything on defense. So yeah, he finished with a nice game, but it's sort of felt like he was like basically one on five I mean Karl and hit a couple of threes there and Who Else Grayson Allen I think he had a couple too but it felt like their offense was just like if mirant isn't sort of going into get contact, then they just kind of harping someone starts hitting threes but they just didn't have enough offense. All of their offense came in transition. It didn't come in half court a lot of the time. It was only in that, but it sometimes score on the break they would ever get a stop. Okay. So that's that's where we're at Blazers right now in the grizzlies still in the ninth see technically and then sons and spurs all behind them. I think I've got that in the right order. Yes that's correct. But all four of those teams play on Thursday. I guess we know what time they played tasks they don't all play like. I guess they can't. They don't even know if arenas they will be like staggered. So I guess we could some teams could know their fate before they even tip Zara the Dave. They have assigned times here I didn't think they had. Yes. All right. Yeah. The Milwaukee Memphis play at four PM. Okay and Phoenix plant four PM. Okay. Let's go. Yeah. So they're not messing around there and then the spurs yeah. They could know their fate at six thirty. Yeah. and then the blazers at nine. There's too many games. There's just too many to really wrap your head around this it just it's wild to think the grizzlies coming in I just thought there was absolutely no chance that they would lose their spot. They had to have two teams behind them go seven one while they went three and five. But. They've got worse. Yeah. Just we just didn't expect the injuries obviously hurt excuses excuses excuses. They also didn't get the benefit of guys being injured on the other side. Yeah, you just had the expected something from Dillon Brooks Dillon Brooks is to me. Yet. We Watch this team on offense and there's there's just no hope Dillon Brooks is trying to create he. He's just he's got this sort of inbetween game where he's he's doing. A, bit of the dinners and dumpers inside or he's trying to fly fire from the outside. He just needs to be stationary needs to be more of a catch and shoot guy for them to be effective. Thought that he'd have a little bit more on the bag off the dribble but it's just it's been a little disappointing from from his standpoint heartbreaker heartbreaker for them. Especially, all those teams below them some five hundred records how are they pulling this off? Yeah. Sun Sun Seven and no spurs five and two Blazers of course, five and two and grizzlies are one. Six right now that blazes lost to the clippers man that one could just be massive for them. Now really when you when you think about what the clip did to basically give that game to ball now, everything hindsight maybe that I play as hard in. In these one of the other games but man that one could be the one that just slipped away from them when when it was there for the taking just a couple more things quickly from the the Celtics Grizzlies Game One time Lord Holy Crap like I was blocking everything in this game, a lot of junk. Trying to fade away I know Brooks got caught once like go in for a fadeaway still blocked it that guy's the wingspan is unreal on him and did you see happen twice in this game flagrant fouls called on defensive player undercutting stepping under the jump shooter Janas Valid Justitia tatum on a jump shot I'm talking like the. Pachulia like. correctly called in my opinion for a flyer one and then it happened later. With kanter. I think it was on Clark not not a three pointer, but it was a jumper. And seen that in a long time forgot people did that and I think both the right calls you've got to let the guy come down. To, Billy. CANTU was a little bit unlucky. Zee closed at. He's a big guy. I didn't feel that he's sort of stuck his foot underneath. I think it was just momentum. So it's a tough one. I, mean you want to discourage people from doing it of course but. I mean if you closing out without jumping sometimes it's it's a very, very fine line. But. No one was sort of to upset I think everyone kind of accepted that because certainly happened in the first half as well. So but yeah, that's going be a very, very tough call. I think to get right all the time because. Like I say Your Guy, you putting your hand up you contesting the shot you your body sort of carries you sort of towards that player especially face. Towards the Hoop. Yeah. That's I mean. Yeah. But I will say in both of these instances, it wasn't the embellishing from the offensive player where they were jumping far ahead. You're right trey usually that can be a problem but they were they were straight up and down both guys I mean tatum and Clark, and the big guy got onto them I mean they're big clumsy dudes like. Fools. Its legs up a Trulia. There's the truth they're trying to close out on shooter and they're like Oh to close and don't have the ability to sort of move out of the way but they got. Jason. TATUM did travel a long distance but it's yeah it's always the defenders fault I mean. Yours Valentinus put those size. Nineteen's you know basically on the three point line and that's where Jason Tatum landed I? mean if that's not a hostile act I, don't know what is and did we have a hostile act today felt like. I I wasn't fully tuned in, but I heard the broadcasters say that's a tough punishment. So I felt like a hostile act was called for the first time in bubble history we're this hostile act language came from I do not know. What's his name? WHO's the new guy took over for abortion Jason Phillips Yes Phillips Yeah Phillips. Came in first day. So we're not calling it. Whatever it was flagrantly hostile lax. It was like why it's like is my rules. This is what we're doing. That was a flagrant one right on. Yes. It's a flame onto in the bowl. Yeah. I just I think hostile is something else I don't know what do you mean this this new Phillips era have you thought it was just terminology they were for some reason using as, but it's the same as. I guess. Yeah. That's. A I was under the impression of maybe maybe maybe maybe. Lots more still to address here on tonight's bubble wrap up before we do a quick word from our sponsors. August eleven today, which means one week until my wedding anniversary number thirteen. Which means got a week to get myself in gear. Get myself cleaned up some love and unindo actually. A little bit tough to get love in lately with these cots Roxana stats illegal. But Buck Tassie we got the bearded one trey Kerby hailed. That right there. That's the international mystery taking it to the Max. Ellis. Sipping on a little less than I do not. To you my friend with Super Bock and last but not least making the magic happen Gd Elo. Area. Don't ever want to cheer someone and not take a drink. I do know that. Man We got some energy tonight because we're starting a little earlier than normal here with the bubble wrap. The last game of the day is actually still going on the Celtics are up I guess it's nineteen points on the nets at behalf. So we said, hey, we really going to be going into detail. You know about the Celtics crush and the nets you know, look a my putting my foot in my mouth here. The Nets are GONNA come back. Down Yup, that's absolutely going to happen now. But hopefully not and we can just get into the Games from today. We got some more fun all day. I know you've been working on your all bubble teams going to announce I know you're being sarcastic but you know what they did actually fluctuate throughout the day. So yes, as a matter of fact I have been working on it all day. Holes Close Jeter, still open your mouth. Well Yeah I mean Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum Marine Consideration See I can't wait. Yeah. A little bit later here on the podcast Lee will he's going to go through your first and second team from your all MBA bubble teams right now because we played a week a basketball and then you'll give them to us and we'll debate whether you're missing some guys you got wrong right that'll be fun. So let's just get into the Games from today in no particular order guys. Let's start with. Well let's start with the first one the grizzlies they're still winless. They fall to the jazz one, twenty, four to one fifteen though it was a beautiful looking game because we had the gorgeous throwbacks on both of these teams, the grizzlies rocking the being couvert teal and the jazz those nineties Sorta Mountain. So it was a nice look by what was everyone's takeaway from this again, the grisly who's again they are in it, but the jazz pulled it off who wants to get US started. Just, a heartbreaker. Really. They got four guys who scored twenty plus points and for them to lose a game where they got some offense. But. They allowed a lot of points to this Utah Jazz team that. You know isn't all that great on the offensive end you allow a forty point quarter and now the schedule gets even tougher. With Okay See Toronto Boston and then Milwaukee could be again because they may not be playing their. Their starters in that game are but. Where are we here with this Grizzly team? Just such a roller coaster from a real high going into this everybody on the bandwagon ready to celebrate this young team a to a team that just really just can't put it together at all and it wasn't surprising that. You know they're going Yoenis Balance Eunice a lot without Jaren Jackson junior in there and it was great to see Joh- have a decent game as great to see Dillon Brooks. Fire. Throw release there that he just throws out there have a little bit of better game. They're all being asked to do a little too much the the. Ball. Handler away would be amazing to have justice winslow there and I. It's it's amazing. What the regular season looks like from all over to March when it's a team that's. Not really on everybody's radar and then you get into this bubble where it automatically feels like the playoffs and it definitely looked incredible speech shadow to Canada. Not just dillon. Brooks. But show out to Vancouver got these lights right? Because in the scrimmages, there were some issues with the lighting I. Remember there was some dark spots. There is a JJ rettig looked really dark and if JJ radic lookin dark, you know the lighting's not on. So they got that right the spotlights are on everything and tastic. By not for these Memphis Ashley. Luck for them like you said it Tassie slipped it in there like the jazz all bubble long haven't been able to shot themselves, and then suddenly in this game today against the grizzlies shoot forty, five percent from the floor. Okay. That's good but they hit eighteen threes. percent from deep Jinglin Joe and catches fire was six Conley had four Russell Neal had three Mitchell had three and it's like. A and look they were creating good offense. A lot of these like were opened. An entry would've taken them missing again for another game to help their chances to pull this up. This was just a reflection though of the jazz is regular season there four games at two and to the two wins have come against teams below five hundred, their two losses have come. Against teams over five hundred. So you know it's great. It was good. For the jazz to get the grizzlies while they're. Missing, Jaren Jackson of course, and just playing badly and the jazz just needed to get a victory out of their system. So they got it today. So I don't know if you take all that much out of it to be honest because the grizzlies gave themselves a chance in this one. But U. UTAH. Hat to win and they did. But again, it's just something that's still to me. It was more just good good timing and good luck for the jazz. They hit some shots but they sort of if they couldn't do it against the grizzlies today. Then women, are they going to do it so? The Grizzlies needed this one real back. Did but the way they've been playing and again to lose. Jaren. Jackson..

"To how this whole court case was resolved off good to his grave claiming that he settled the matter in court when he found a lost letter from his uncle. The head of the firm that had hired him stating that he should take the bond money as payment for his travel expenses and services rendered And it does seem to be true. That THE AGGRIEVED PARTY. Who Sued Him Was HIS UNCLE. But the rest of the story is probably ally court records. Note that Prince Czar off was declared guilty of embezzlement but only sentenced to pay about one hundred pounds and fines. This is likely because he agreed to pay restitution to the people he'd robbed or rather he got his new wife to pay back the people he'd stolen from His biographer notes quote. All that is clear is that Zaharov had made a promise of at least partial restitution and there is little doubt parental indulgence. So recently overtaxed of it's probable source Miss Zakharov. The late Princess Scorza cough knee borough. So like his his his wife who was pretending using the name Gorchakov's with the fake name that this guy used this legal expenses according to her niece Swallowed up her aunt's money so basically. He has her the payback. The people he stole from so he gets to keep the money And then as soon as he's released from jail he flees England abandons his wife And Yeah of course Obama comments. Well Yeah I mean you're not really griff you don't abandon at least one wife. Yeah it's crazy that she I feel like she almost got out of it before they are you said she had doubts before the second man. Yeah it seems like that that she was starting to realize this guy was shady. Just keep going because it's like well. At this point I met under to see through the sunk cost. Alyce is applied in. The Romance Makes Fools of us all so now obviously today. If you've got a drifter who gets in trouble in one country and caught in a gift and tried in court you're gonNA fleet a Mexico. That's just where you're going to go. If you're in the modern era but Mexico was not the place for drifters in the late eighteen hundreds and so instead Prince Harry's left the United States which was the the Mexico of the eighteen hundred thou- in terms of being a place for Griffin's to go and absolutely be able to get away with anything. So yeah he gets on a boat off to North America. He never divorced emily. He basically just abandoned her to her family after taking all of their money So yeah that's that's well. Sorry I should say like yeah. Cool stuff So yeah like. It's very complicated. This guy is like the the the the the Mo- The movements this guy goes through. But after like sometime in North America he goes to Cyprus this tiny Grecian Island and he founds a business and he starts a series of small enterprises operating gradually expanding number of shops and importing exotic foodstuffs In his finances gradually improved. He started going back and forth to England again Any never met with his wife Like like he would hide from her every time he was back in England on business By the early eighteen hundreds he took on a few small job selling rifles to the government. and I like he didn't like at this point really like take up. Arms dealing is a major trade but it was certainly something he was willing to do. A little bit of He sold linens to he. Catered barracks is for the British Army. His Company Laid Down Telegraph Poles and train tracks. He got involved with shipping and was constantly investing in different markets. During his trips to London he lived pretty well off of this But his businesses were constantly in one sort of debt or another in his prophets. Were art always in the process of being re invested into a new enterprise. He etched a scheme to get the British government to let them run the development of ciphers which they controlled thanks to a shaky treaty deal with Russia and the Ottoman Empire. Let him develop this island have he was trying to trying to. He failed our So England was kind of like in control of ciphers due to these like weird series of political events and he was trying to get them to like develop the island and let him run it But that didn't end up working Did a series of business ventures in Alexandria and then France and then back to the Mediterranean coast And trying to keep track of all His businesses and plots in this period is like impossible There's just so much shit going on and like so much. Doubt about it with matters is that he was a serial entrepreneur. He's one of these guys. That always has an angle always has a business. He's trying always has an investment going on And he was successful enough at this that he was able to dress well and live comfortably and put on the image of being wealthy but he was also always on the edge of disaster and always have most of his assets invested into the next big thing. Have you seen our John's no? This reminds me of that movie. Yeah so he's just constantly Adam Sandler's character's like constantly getting higher stakes gambling debt and he'll like finally get it back to pay someone but instead of paint back. I'm going to gamble this on this new game and then I'll make you even more and you'll both get paid and he's just doing it more and more and then at the end. Well I won't give it away but you know gambling. Yeah you can assume that. It's how gambling happens. What happens when you generally this is kind of that story but it for him when he he gambles too much help start world war one so a little bit more high stakes okay. So we're going there okay. Cool yeah that's where this shit goes so basil built a reputation as a man of scandal and he left behind a constant stream of sobbing women. Outraged fans I'm GonNa read you now a letter that he sent while he was in a hotel in Paris to one of his business partners in his letter kind of gives you some insight into the way. He conducted his relationships And he's talking to women he met at the hotel and slept with quote Miss Jaren whom? I was foolish enough to poke a few times immediately. After my arrival at the hotel had her knife in me and miss mccreath for my giving her up the ladder you appear to be under the impression that Miss mccreath was divorced and I might marry her. You were wrong. I would not do so if she had millions. I poked her because it was my caprice pokers still and when I went to give her up. I am under no obligation to her family. She cost me. What an average Horwood do I pay her in one way or another and I have no doubt that if another man chose to quarter and pay for it he could have her if he paid more than me and she would turn me up. This is the guy this guy talks about the red pill yeah. He's pretty Gross Po. Shortly after now. Yeah Pope. That was I didn't know people were current to be like poked her Yeah it's weird to hear in like an eight you expect people to be like I I don't know what's a fancy way to say. Fuck I lay with you. Know it's not fancy at all so shortly after writing. This Zahara fell ill. He was diagnosed with a NIMIA. And it's impossible to know what ailment he actually had. Because eighteen seventies medicine was basically drunk guessing. His description of his doctor's orders for how to treat this ailment is entertaining though quote. I'm to avoid the least excitement to take gentle exercise and avoid all stairs and if I want to kill myself I am to have a woman. This last is strictly enforced. I am to give up women altogether and in fact void them so as to not get excited his doctor says he's GonNa Stop fucking Dick Disease probably STD. Because they were like they said he can't he can't get excited not because of the heart but because of his Dick Woman so maybe it has earns and he went hard at hurts might have gotten some of that Clinton years. "The price of gas skyrocketed as it does every spring. But this year, it's wet this. This is the high. Highest over five years, and it's gone up very rapidly. And it's not only the extreme excessive taxes, but everybody's battling about this mystery surcharge. I don't know how I don't know how in the modern world, you can't figure out why there's a significant extra charge on a gallon of gas. We'll get gouged. Anyway. Admit who knows maybe there's a secret tax that they snuck through Dallas about we'll give you the rundown. We'll play the audio from the view. We're basically when he was asked about the mystery surcharge of it's kind of like, an I'll get back to you think that's coming up. We'll be talking about measles will have Dr Robert winter on the show. And of course, he's an infectious disease specialist from Santa Monica, and we'll really ask them. How serious is this? Because this is the biggest outbreak in the country. In about almost twenty years. And we'll get the whole run down from him on that. We'll also talk about this group of Chilean tourists who have been part of a nationwide burglary ring some of which occurred in southern California. Yeah, they came here on visas. Well, they went to work then we'll work visas to be burglars. All of that's coming up later, actually ready down the application burglars want to come to US to steal. Oh, sure. Welcome. Fasttrack? So what we need now to do is to open up the John and Ken detective bureau. It's been kind of quiet over there for a while hasn't it. I think you know, we haven't had a mysterious unusual murder. This baffles me, I'm not even sure I have a theory. Normally when we do this and people call I go I thought of that one eight hundred five two zero one five three four for folks in Orange County. And of course, down in Newport Beach, where we have a lot of listeners, you probably know by now that two people were found dead in a condo Sunday night in Newport Beach. Apparently, what happened is a guy came home to his condo. And he went inside. And he found the body of his roommate a former pro hockey player, and then he told police and a woman, I do not know turns out the woman. He does not know is Wendy Miller. She's from coach. Costa Mesa the dead guy. The former professional hockey player is Darren Parche now, he's thirty eight she's forty eight just trying to give you all the information police announced they were found deadline next to each other. Yes. There was no forced entry into the home. And the police have also announced there is no ongoing threat to the public. So a lot of people thought murder-suicide, but they're saying, no, let's clarify. This is a double homicide. In fact, the son of the woman who was killed did reveal some information on Facebook that she was shot to death. Because they are not saying exactly how they died either. We we don't know Miller and. And part charge. They've missed Jaren March heart and windy Miller. We don't know if they patch. It's parts where they were. They dating or anything like that porch. Will it says here according to a couple of other sources and believe it or not this three even got to? Yahoo news and people magazine. Miller the woman gave the man or ride home Friday night after they left the bar called the Sandpiper and Laguna beach. That is allegedly where she was last seen by the way since the bodies weren't found till Sunday night. People who knew Wendy Miller reported her missing today's shop and seen since Friday Newport Beach resident James Quast quest. K W AST said, quote, they hit it off. They had a great time down on Laguna beach. He needed a ride home. She was known for giving people rides home whenever they needed. That's healthy. Just give rides home two guys you at bars. Will you would assume they were going back to have sex. No. I mean, they hit it off. And even though she was older. I don't know. But. She might be that might have been in that cougar. Phase. She's chief executives something called wings for Justice. I non profit that works to protect children in the family court system. And you'll find out why she got so heavily involved in that in a moment. He worked as a finance and credit consultant and he did play on several minor league hockey teams over the years. I have seen reactions from people that know both of them last night a lot of it was about Darren Parch. And a lot of people said he was a great guy. Very funny guy a very outgoing guy. I don't think you one of them has anything suspicious in the past. Although we will talk about the woman because apparently she was involved in a little custody dispute with her ex hyphen, she accused her ex husband of psychological and sexual abuse during their marriage. She also claimed that after divorce her daughter told her her father was molesting her. She also put all this on YouTube. She was a fifteen minute video that organization put on their YouTube channel where Miller told the story of losing custody of her two kids and being jailed for sixty one days after she accused. Her husband a pastor. Reverend Eric carpenter of sexually abusing her and their daughter now, she accused carpenter of sex abuse. And she ended up in jail. Yeah. Because in August of two thousand eleven she got arrested in Colorado Springs on a charge of custodial interference. She did not hand her son and daughter over to Eric carpenter. The husband, and there was a court ordered agreement that she had to do that. So that's how she ended up with a criminal record Miller and her children who were then aged eleven and ten were missing for eighteen days before they were located. So that's why she was charged. The ex husband claimed that she coached the kids to the lie that he had molested the daughter and then the believed him and not her. They says here the judge chose to disregard the children's statements Miller a wife woman, Wendy Miller, dead ended up losing custody of both our son and never got custody back. Nope. So there's something funky with her. For a mother lose custody of the kids is very rare. And for a court to believe that she was coaching the kids to lie about the ex husband molesting the girl. She's there's more and more than a screw loose. And she's lived in a number of places. But apparently, she decided to devote herself against CEO of wings for Justice charity that advocates on behalf of children who are in the criminal Justice system or online biography described her as having devoted your life to the healing in an education of children, Dulcie families, hip, I read, but nobody else bought her story. She creates an organization. To to basically promote the story of ex-husband husband molesting her daughter. Right. That's the whole basis the organization, except nobody. Nobody buys your story. The judge didn't that's right and no other judges. Did the decision was never reversed. Yeah. I think she said something like never charged with anything. He was never charged with any crime. And the legal system is always biased heavily in favor of the mother. Vera, dad, you, and you are denied custody or your accused of something you got a real uphill climb out of a deep hole. Apparently the Reverend Eric carpenter lives in Colorado with a new family. So well, we'll we'll talk about this more when we come back, but the detective bureau is officially open at one eight hundred five two zero one five three four cana- thinking, if it's somebody that knew one of them, well, which side isn't here, although it was his place the dead guy's apartment. Yeah. I'd say from her side of the world. There's too much funky stuff in her background here. We haven't even gotten to all of it yet. No. And was also an interesting quote from one of the police investigators who when he was asked about the Orange County. Register about the case basically only said we hope to make an arrest. Of course, you do. I I think that's kind of a minimum. Yeah. Added a requirement asked to police expect to make an arrest. This guy told the OC register I certainly hope so, but again, they're telling the community, there's no threat. So whoever killed them was known by one of them or both of them. But it seemed like they just met that night. So we got more coming up on the show. John and Ken show KFI chance to win.
