"Now she's forever ago. Okay she put a tiny ship loader scree also go ahead go out. 'cause i'm about to say now as much as i do not like with destiny is doing. I do not like how she's handling the situation she when was on the back poets. Drink some liquor out the bottle with her mom the yeager not a yeager. The mom said oh. This is taste like licorice death. Good stuff. I never sat down and drink a glass of yeager for enjoyment. Gaiger bomb or too. Yes you go his younger bob. Alright let me throw it back real quick but me sitting down with a cold glass. I don't talk about this. The good stuff misnomers we need to elevate you got you got you show on credit card you need to be slide for a little bit more but this is what i will say about. Miss destiny is that i feel like. She opened up to us this episode about her abuse from her uncle when she was thirteen years old for many many many many many many many years and i always again while love this show my social work. Come out my social work hat on and i really belie- okay. A lot of this makes sense. And i always tell people the children that i work with some adults that i work with when trauma happens. You never know how it's going to manifest itself in your life and you just you just never know where what who why how was gonna rear. Its ugly head. But you've gotta deal with it and if you don't deal with the then it's going to rear somewhere and it's very clear and destiny's where her abuse from her uncle k. Like israel in her head. She's constantly getting caught up in jail. She doesn't like to go to courts. She's on the run. She's meeting older man. Let's not ignore the fact that sean is much older. You know there is a pattern and so for me it. I still want cuss out. But it humanized her for me this episode of okay. You gotta story you've got to pass. I get it. I have to agree. I do appreciate her being open with us about that. And i'm sure that that was not easy. And i did say i said you know this makes sense. I get why she does behave how she does. Now on the flip side of that coin. She's a whole adult out here. So at some point you gotta take responsibility for your actions not the things that were done to you because that is not okay and that obviously with that type of trauma you need some type of therapy and maybe destiny doesn't have the resources to get access because a lot of people just don't know sean carr dough were right. Right is just she. She knows how to get shots cards. She knows how to order a pizza. But you don't know how to get the help she needs. And that's not okay. And i think that she you know in in destiny's defense sean was not forthcoming about his life. Okay so he didn't say. I got a whole football team of kid. I'm forty six. He told her he was thirty. Eight he said he had three kids. So in my head. If i'm destiny and i'm a criminal and i'm coming out of jail and i'm thinking meeting this guy. He's got money in house. And then i find out. He's ten years older than what he said. He got a hold football too. I'm gonna be mad. I'm going to be mad but destiny is running. Game on sean. So can she really be mad. No at the end of the day. Now i do want to know though. What do we think her. 'cause she was like you know. There's something that i'm dealing with. Those do we think that she's pregnant. I don't well. She wants to hospital and said that she wasn't pregnant. I think well. She says she got up early to handle some business so i feel like she was going to see somebody else while she said. There's something going on that. I don't feel that i should have to tell anybody about right now. While she said. I'm keep secrets from my sister. And i don't want her my business right now and she got up before the court hearing and went somewhere earlier went somewhere else. So maybe she's with somebody else. We saw her ordering the pizza with somebody who issue with. We don't really know. Matter of fact maybe i just need to take my little ass out to reading and go see dr up. Say deaths. ame- what's really going on over here. Roll up with sean in the blue ford media talking about ours too. 'cause what the hell but and that's another thing. She still in his car. She's still driving his car. But i think i think again it sort of goes back to. This tastes sean. Loves shamas lizzy. Sean loves destiny. So monday might as well as be the same people that he loves her so much that it doesn't matter if she's maxed out the credit cards and stole the car because that's what she did. Let's call it what it is. It's stealing and also britney the sister why was bringing like why is he here. They got okay dollars okay. That is not a football team of kids. Take care of if she does not go at. Your sister does not show up for for jail. He is going to be on the hook for fifty thousand dollars. Why do you have an attitude about that. And why are you mad at him anyway. 'cause even she was frustrated with destiny. Saying you know. I'm gonna run have cold feet. I what i'm gonna do so you can understand that frustration. So how can you understand a man. Chuck coming to check up on money. I don't know. I'm not even honestly. I don't even think that the money is part of it. But i don't i think he cares about her. So let's talk somebody. That's supporting exactly for him. It's not the money so for me. It would be like. Oh dang like he came all the way here despite my sister taking his car not taking his phone calls and it's still showing support for her but it seems like she's almost nasty like it's like like she's mad about something but really the person that's running game is destiny. Hello fowler running game actress for bropher. No is she go ba- minds you know how we'd see. We always editors her she's going to go. He's going she would listen like her sister. Said you are an adult at you run. That's gonna make it worse for you. Not anybody else is just gonna make more only gonna catch you all. Do you wanna spend your whole life. Especially she's young. Do you wanna spend your whole life rushing constantly looking over your shoulder trying to feel like somebody's trying to get you know no just nc. That's the other thing too while she has this man that's willing to be there for her and you heard her say a while. I'm sure if i go back to jail. I'm going to need that. I'm going to need that so this is a treat the person you're going to.

manager of a bridal place called guess Anne's which is a special occasion boutique based in Concord and welcome to the program sure Stokes good to have you thank you so much thank you for having me I really appreciate that well I appreciate your being with us and if you're in the bridal business so we're coming up on the month when brides are supposed to be out there in weddings and many of them or if they're not having virtual weddings are not having weddings at all how some of this affected your business so our business is down obviously were doing only about five percent of our business right now by doing virtual face book appointments for the price that she can really imagine themselves in the draft we also can send directly to them to say yes to the dress in the comfort of their own home but again this is a special day a special time for to make that decision with their family and friends unfortunately that's been taken away from the special price it is unfortunate and I I think it's very painful and and makes a lot of people sad but let's talk about your business I mean you managed to stay open have you done that witnesses say open by doing Facebook in them appointments and also sending it directly to the comfort of their own home to try on hopefully to say yes to the dress in the comfort of their own home we actually teach the client how to measure themselves and we place the orders we have still been doing business that way an added today we are doing pick up all of our clients have been waiting for their merchandise are picking them up in a parking lot so we're really trying to get the merchandise to them but as far as our business again we are down to ninety five percent this has been devastating to part of the I can imagine how devastating especially when you give us a figure like ninety percent but you're hoping for the fallen for shift and for a change I know but you're also sanitizing your stores is that right absolutely we put in safety right away I went on to be covered nineteen website I found out exactly what we needed to do what me and my cleaning crew when and we stand a chance our stores top the bottom implicate implemented our safety we ordered our map that we are ready to go when it's safe to open Japanese title is ready well what else you're doing in terms of the pandemic I mean they're actually laces you can hire another can come in and vaporize your store and put up signs to say this is a virus vaporizing store I mean there's all kinds of as you can imagine ways of people finding new technology in new ways to at least bring customers and what else you doing absolutely and we've been looking into all of those things right now we have sanitized like I said with our cleaning crew but Kathleen portal has been looking into all options out there to speak with that's our business there's other bridal shops that have already opened up that we're also consulting to see what works for them help isn't going so we'll be moving forward daily before we get the notification to re open to see what is best for the final bill that we wish all of our gallant right away everyone of our accountant binge team which does kill the virus as well yeah that's marked but what about employees for example when people start coming in your store wearing face masks or getting health screenings that sort of thing get here temperatures taken I mean like I said there's a lot of things in the consolation are being discussed yes and that's what we've already discussed me and the owner miss destiny taking temperatures they already have our map in place we already have our sign in place and we will also of course be using all of the safety standards that are set forth here it definitely it's vital we have packets for each employee to reopen fine before they rejoin that implementing the new safety regulations I want to wish you good luck and I want to express appreciation for your being with us this morning thank you thank you so much we appreciate it service dogs the store manager against enemies bridal and that's a special occasion boutique that's based in Concord we're gonna continue this discussion and we welcome your calls in fact let me go to a caller here with welcome Bonnie is joining us from Davis funny you're on the air good morning Hey I had a question for one of your gas when he fed repurposed redesign replaced and my husband and I have been in talks to open franchise that plant based the restaurant up in the area of Davis and Sacramento and those places have moratoriums on new drive thru and I'm wondering if you know he's imagining that cities might have this sort of relax these policies as we've seen that drives through there now may be more important than ever funny thank you for the question Joe camel to go back to you for me yeah it it's a great question and I think it's a little bit of my question that some cities don't want to confront the clearly the consumer is mmhm it is being directed really bye bye you know the federal government right to use the drive through the drive thru has historically been a on a target of many communities particularly upscale communities a look down their noses at drive throughs as being part of quote unquote chain stores were down market uses and only saw what was sort of you know absent from that use what what we see that they provide however now he is safety and a a level of service that can't be matched by other non direct to restaurants so I think that it's it's a it's a reasonable approach and so you would hope that cooler heads would prevail over cities will start to see really the virtues and I think that's the right term for drive throughs and what they can offer to a community in a time of crisis whether or not certain communities are going to be prepared to set aside long standing stereotypes are which are often negative towards quote chain stores include drive throughs is.

All scared of the neighborhood because she's low key racist And then they get there and there's this group of kids like these teens that kind of like give them like who are you. Who the fuck are you? Why are you here Blah Blah Blah? And they're like they're attacking us and Miss Green yells at the boys and they they disperse and misery. And they're like. Did you know that those boys really scared us? And she's like yeah like white people big killer. Yes she's like there's white there's a white man that's killing kids so we're really distrustful white people right now and she's like and he's like. I didn't hear about that in the newspaper activities like I read news all the time and Mrs Green is like really. You're like you're surprised that the newspapers don't care about black kids getting killed. Yup also what I and. I don't know if this was intentional. I don't think it was but you know what I'm GonNa say I don't care. I think that This here right like they're so obsessed with true crime these women and yet like why never heard of that of that crime. It kind of reminded me of some Some true crime fans in groups tend to not care about crimes against people of Color and pretty much only focused on white crimes Yet as light is also. It's it's a good metaphor for a analogy metaphor yet metaphor for drugs. Yuck white parents freaking your Freaking out about drugs in the suburbs and when their kids do it but not carrying about just anybody else's kids carrying about black kids in the city being Because it's like oh well it's like like they're violent it's gangs blah blah blah. But but that. Kinda stuff shouldn't happen here and I think even some of the characters like some of the book club members say stuff like that where like well. That's like that stuff happens out in the country but not here in our community. Yeah and it's like but it shouldn't happen to anybody and because when it happens when it happens in their neighborhood they're like this isn't normal and newspapers treat the death of kids in black neighborhoods as normal and they explain it. Away is the victim. Lame yeah and they blame the MOM to Because the so so Patricia. Kind of curious about also I. She's like okay. Miss Green is pretty hurt But you know what this check will release your up because as a lot of money and and Miss Green looks at it and doesn't have any reaction and she's like That's weird and then later in the conversation she realizes that Da Patricia. Miss Green can't do any other work because she's hurt. You're not the only house so yeah she is. The an Patricia is like oh I am now. Very embarrassed of the small amount that we gave her check. Yeah so I like that moment of her humility. Yeah and it's also it's like. Oh this is this is what you think. Yeah like me putting like throwing my body in front of a rat bullet. Yeah this is what you think of our. Yeah you've monetize me and it's this and then and you've monetize your mother now and then the screen goes like she's like she keeps pushing her she's like what are these kids going missing. And she's like wall like the kids will go missing and then they'll come back and they will I guess we should put in the description a content warning about like suicide and self harm We'll we'll do content wearing for that and for in the description But so she She's like well. These kids will like go missing and the comeback. It's it's like they've been on their third withdrawn their depressed and Muni nine. Or you know they're young and it's like there were interesting and then this one kid who's like nine years old threw himself in front of a bus and other kids are killing themselves in different ways Yeah and doesn't she say like? Oh that woman's daughter went missing. She says it's currently happening okay. But she's Destiny could tailor. That's right and like right now. Her Mom thinks that she's on drugs. That is happening to her. Yeah and she's like I am going to send my son to go live with my grandparents and I have to stay here because like my church is here. My work is here But like my sons are not safe here. So I'm sending them away and Kitty still refuses to take any of this to her. She's like I still haven't read about it in the news yet. She looked really is not believing that. It's somebody attacking them. What what do they just leave after that? Yeah they just leave leave but it keeps nine Patricia. Yeah because Patricia is a good person And she just keep thinking well. If I like I I would fight for my kids. Yeah I should fight for everybody's kids. Yeah she goes back like Carter doesn't believe her that there's a problem. I says she's like I'm going to go back. Doesn't she. Kinda lie or not? Say where she's going yeah she just says she's going to like check on Mrs Green because they do know where she is like. I'M GONNA go checking on Mrs Green. Goes back or she calls. Mrs Grena had a time. She's like is it. It's like nine o'clock. Is it too late to go see destinies mom and she's like you're not gonNA WANNA see destinies mom? No one wants to talk to destiny's mom. She's like unplug and she's not GonNa WanNa talk to some weight lady Leah. What are you doing? Patricia gives her the Spiel spiel about children. She goes over. They talked to destiny's mom destinies supposedly sleeping in a bedroom. They talked to her about it. They go to check on destiny. She's there she's missing destinies. Mom starts freaking out. Tricia goes into the woods to figure out. What's my God at this House like Patricia? That far I think this is white. Cushy goes into the woods fully expecting to see James. Here's because because of love. Mrs Gunman had written down the license plate of a white van de been hanging out earlier in the book it had been established that grace rates down the license plate of any car. That's unfamiliar. She wrote down the license plate of James Harris's van when it started showing up in front of Mrs Savage's how in the last three digits because Mrs Green's Texas places. Green only knew that it was Texas plate with the last three digits of something and those magic last three degrees right now. Yeah she calls. Grace Grace tells her and she's like it's the same van the fact that everybody isn't like yes. It is the same he so I if it was blowing my mind so she goes back expecting to see. James Harris has essentially kind of already suspect vampire. She suspects that he is doing something wrong. She doesn't know specifically what She thinks he's like addressing. I guess she thinks Jimmy bad because then what she sees you like okay. Eisley so she goes. She does eventually find a van opens it up. James Harasses like so in the throes of sucking destinies blood that he doesn't really know kind of like. I think what we learn. Is that like when he's doing that. He kind of is like slow and like not yet. He's he has to tune out. Yeah like he's way too involved in what he's doing is not aware of his surroundings and he turns around and there is like an evil propose guests out forever. You fucking say that it's like a insect shit and it covered in blood and there's blood dripping down his gym and it destiny has these puncture marks on her thigh out cold and he starts walking towards her. She has the flashlight on him so he can't really see her. She scuttles calls the COPS. Harder shows up. She's telling them all with going on she doesn't. She leaves out the part with the wool so she goes with the COPS member she goes with the COP young. They can't find the van and so already at that moment. I'm like Oh faulk she's fucked. She goes back to the house. Carter's there and I I was like okay. He seems to believe her yet. He's car. It's so infuriating. He's like even saying to the COPS. He's like my wife wouldn't make this up and they leave him before for the leave. Mrs Green is like. Don't you let them take? Oh when they get back destinies there and is Patricia in quarter leaving. She's like don't you let them take destiny away from her mom. They're gonNA think that she is like an unfit mother. They're going to take her. Away and Patricia is like like looks into her eyes and takes her hands. He's like I would never let that happen. And then they go home and the next day the cops have taken destiny away from her mom she calls Carter. She's like you have to call them. You can't let that happen. I know what was real Blah Blah Blah and Carter's like I cannot jeopardize my lake Position because I am trying to become head of psychiatry at the hospital and that would just like really like be a problem for me if I was disagreeing with the cops. Yeah and at that point I was like Oh wait. No why did I think he would be cool? He sucks yeah. She is told the police to go and check out. James Harris they went. The van is in theory. They talked to him and the cops are basically like I don't know he seemed like a good guy to me. Yup James Hers comes over and Patricia is like a duck and at this point does thinks he's vampire. Yeah because she's like Keanu cutoff. Names like yeah. He's like Oh am I at. What's with your tone of voice? The weirdest thing happened earlier Patricia. Some police came by my house and they were like asking questions about where Florence or a rate is her name Florence. Oh the MOM. The made new Gross Messing Asking why.

Dot Org and we can find a way to plug you there. You're a beautiful new website that definitely check out. Yes, www dot. James Inc that Org. You know the two ladies that we've worked with this this morning or two of our signing. Examples of what we do. Miss Destiny Clemson came to us and she was pregnant. She had completed. I believe two years of college at the time. When she came to us, she found herself pregnant as a late teenager in college, again had a very real purposes and golf for her life, but stuff happens, and then when she found herself pregnant, she Cana, falter and through the help of children's farce which. which is a visiting nurse organization here in Tulsa through the help of children's? I they made a referral to us in order to help destiny with some behavioral health issues, but also with some goal setting issues. She really had no idea how to get back to where she was and so her story is interesting because that's what we did. We helped her to get back she. She got off the path, and we just gave her the tools and let her back to the past, and now she is graduated from college. This past show is huge shoots accomplishment for her in her level of confidence from when I first met her to. Now it's unbelievable. I think She said that possibilities a wide open for her and the Lee Elliott came. Came to us through our some apparent academy, she worked with one of our educational dulas prior to that, but then she came into the summer program, and that I would see Sia one this camera package now she's her own photographer and I've had the benefit of watching her confidence grow and develop a the last three or four years in now. She's a totally different person Not that. Not that she's accomplice, everything but her mind. Essence. What's your name?.

"The mercenary bounty Hunter Tier your system since my first mercenary kill I've made it a tradition for myself and my friends that play the game with me to throw the body of every defeated mercenary into the nearest body the of natural water as if it were a sign of respect we also salute the screen and fire a single Arrow into the sky. We will do this even if we are in a pretty. Eddie landlocked territory of the game. There's absolutely no real purpose to doing this. It's just hilarious to us and we do it solely out of tradition so my question is this. Do you guys have any weird unscripted video game traditions. I E things that you'll always do that aren't required in the game at all. I wish I had one that was even close. Close to this good. I actually I think also first of all I want to open this up to our listeners so your traditions at split-screen Kentucky Dot Com because I'm very Korea see here people's crazy weird video and it has to be so and the rules are it has to not have anything to do with the game example ooh yeah so. I actually think my theory here is that the the only time you would do traditionally this is if you're with other people and so and he's playing this game and other people. I think people do this ammos destiny like I'm sure we can think of some weird thing we've done in some and that was my thought was the closest is some of the emotes that will do in destiny like things. Were you know run up to a boss and start dancing in their face and you just do it every time you fight them like because like you said I had the same Jason. This is a social thing and that's it's Michelle. We do this because it's such a fun shared ritual like doing alone like if it feels a little more psychotic I always got. It killed a bunch of times for good measure. It's like it's like a little weird or so but that said I mean I know that there are people out there who have like weird skyro- Cairo rituals where they fill their houses and have to organize everything or like Jeez in every house like like there are all sorts of stories out there from people and I don't have any. I don't know if you guys have avenue but this doesn't qualify because it's not a funny one but I remember when I played the Tomb Raider reboot which is the solar game played it by myself. There's that cut scene really early on where Lara doesn't shoot the deer and she liked cuddles it after she does kill it at dies and then she liked cuddles it and she liked feels really bad that she had to kill it and so for the entire rest of the game. I didn't kill any animals all except for the rest of the first because I was like she's not supposed to kill them. I guess she's just gave the character in like at some point. I found out that I was supposed to kill the animals and I was just like you know what I haven't been killed him this whole time. I'm just GONNA go ahead and not kill any of them ever and that was like how I play the entire game for real reason but I just me being like I enjoy role playing a game which Annie's question definitely gets at like the fun of being like okay so my characters like this absurd mercenary. Sorry like what would she do like would she do this really strange ritual like yeah. Cassandra Deli legit. There's grand theft auto things like that. I feel like there was definitely a period when I started playing grand theft auto four which at the time just like boom my face off with just how realistic it was as remember being like what the Hook and I I think this is a common thing as I would like to obey all traffic laws 'cause. I just didn't even know when I first started playing it I was like I just don't know if I'm going to get pulled over for running a red light in this game like I don't go how deep the simulation goes of course now. I just fly through traffic in those games but there is always that's a little different. I guess it's not quite a tradition but I do have like that lake. It'll be refunding here from people yeah so I want to hear about it and I'm sure it's people playing a game like that with their friends. I'm trying to think of when you and I have plead dark souls or bloodborne warranty either Kirk if we had an e traditions but I don't think and I'm thinking we dated probably because we weren't playing your dark. Souls tradition is just run through everything really really reckless and fast and somehow cheese. He's bosses on accident. That's true I had my traditions. Might tradition that we've talked about before was that in destiny. VP whenever I killed them on AH sing the Indiana Jones Jason Shotgun coming through and then there comes the raiders theme over my headphones man's sounds good. That's making me Miss Destiny days. If only for me I didn't have a child anyway. Let's take a break and then get into some off topic stuff and we are back Kirk Mattie any. Let's talk about the things we are doing that have nothing to do with the video games kirk start off over rights. My thing for this week is mind hunter season two which I finished last last week a little late last week and I generally. I guess I liked okay. I thought it was a little bit a little bit less focused or less interesting or something just seemed like they weren't totally totally sure what to do with season two of that show but I still like it have you. Have you ever watched the show. I watched the first season is in my Netflix Queue. I watched the pilot hadn't thought of his terrible so strange show but kirk go ahead. It is a strange show was talking to this girl and it was terrible. Dialogue and terrible acting in Israel is really boring yeah. I don't know if I agree with that. I think the cast is good. What's cool about the second season. I really didn't like that that storyline. In season one the main guy whatever whereas name is Jonathan Groff Scherzer which is like citing the most that is the weirdest thing about this show. The Jonathan Groff plays the main character. He is Jonathan Groff right right. He's like he played King George Hamilton. He's like a Broadway guy like he was. He's actually just saw profile article about him. He's in little shop of horrors right now. He's playing Seymour. I see more and and yet he's playing Seymour. He's playing these disaffected serial killer Hunter Weirdo Guy Online hundreds. It's very funny. anyways house has to be Awkward Jason. But but that's part of what makes the first season tough to watch is that he is so awkward and strange story like this so the first season revolves around them starting. This show is about it just stop. You really quick like the. FBI started this division. I think in the late Seventy S to study serial killers they call them. Sequence glitters isn't even a term warm for it yet so it's about the history of the creation of the term serial killer and the WHO initially studied inspired by nonfiction book about this if I write correctly and and D- so basically there it's like a serial killer thing in the vein of you know silence of the lambs whatever but it's not at least he's in one of those very much not about the hunt for a serial killer it was much more about like studying circles who've been captured and understanding them and so. It's not a lot of like gory imagery. It's more just like unsettling psychologically because they are people talking frankly about about the people they killed and that's scary but it isn't like shock value strung up bodies and stuff. It's a different monologues by people portraying real serial. Oh Keller which I would say that's the more interesting part of the show is like a totally to chew scenery by playing actual serial killers that especially that main guy from season one. He's in Chris and so so season two is what I didn't like about one is that there's a big storyline that you were referencing Jason. That's about the main Guy Holden that's his name and like his relationship with this woman and now now he's kind of this repressed Weirdo in normal life and how it kind of like connects the two parts of his life and how he started falling apart by the end as he studying these mentally ill l. people and that was sort of like it wasn't as interesting to me and I didn't really like her. I thought she was just like not a well fleshed out character and it's kind of a thankless role season two focuses on the other other two characters on Anna tour of and the other his partner and that's cool because they're interesting characters. His partner gets the storyline but there's parts of it that like it's it's interesting like. I I like like what they're trying to do but it just feels more scattered like Charles Manson shows up. There's more like serial killer you know son of Sam is in it and how big air for Charles meant there will be I i. I believe it's the same guy playing Charles Manson as played him in the louder and Tina. I'm not sure about that but I think I saw that somewhere. anyways it was cool. It's an interesting show. It feels a little more like they don't totally know what they're doing. There's more of an actual serial killer. They're trying to catch and they're still inter cutting the stuff with. Bt Cave like bind torture kill killer from Kansas us and it's not clear where that's going and it's a show that I continue to watch even though it is like this grim grey Downer it. I find it compelling even though there are things about totally work for me but Yeah I. It's still cool show like I think I'll I'll be curious what you think of it matty. If you manage to watch I'll probably get around to it. I enjoyed the first season enough that I don't know. It's not like a must watch for me but I'm curious. I know what you mean by the wayside no kirk. I think I will use my paternity. Leave as an opportunity to finally watch the wire. Oh that's that's exciting. You've never seen the wire. Are you even a reporter Jason Chaffetz. I haven't seen it journalist I've ever met in my life if is obsessed with because anytime I wanNA watch anything just wind up watching the Sopranos again for the twentieth time so replace it with the wire. It's like a the perfect one to one switch. It's fine. What about you. What are you watching. I watched Chernobyl. I'm technically halfway through the last episode. There's only five but I I see where it's going. I guess stops this show in the middle of finished it yet. I can't do this. I don't understand my wife does so I can't understand people who start watching an episode knowing that they're not going to be able to finish. I have to watch the whole thing like in one sitting depends on. I guess I organize my time differently than you because sometimes I don't have forty three minutes at a stretch to watch an episode and also Chernobyl is a show the benefits from taking breaks. I don't think I watched any of the episodes in one go because sometimes times they get real spooky or weird or just straight start stressing me the heck out and I'm like I need to take a break from this so I actually remember pausing it at a point when the episode got really stressful one being like I. I was just going to pick this up later like I did that a few times at the show I really enjoyed it not sure if that's the right way to describe this show but I did get a lot out of it because I didn't know a lot about the disaster. I knew the vague terms of what had happened but not really any details so I watched I it I looked at bunch of articles about what wasn't accurate about it and what was accurate about it was horrified by the things that were accurate in surprised by some of the things they changed. I thought about why they change them and just overall found. It really interesting. I recommend the show. It's obviously tragic. you have to deal with dogs dying babies dying. Women and children children dying watching people's hair fall out for mediation but they actually cut away from a lot of stuff. I was expecting to see a lot more vomiting and people getting killed on on camera and they don't really do that. They mostly just have the emotional toil be what you're dealing with and there's vomit shown on the show. I was pleasantly surprised the vomiting I was like I'm ready. I'm ready for some cans of soup to be thrown at the screen and the insurer Noble. It's not like that at all. Did you listen to podcast the accompanied visit yeah. It's cool. It's I mean it's a little bit like it's by HBO so it has a little bit of that feel of like the way those behind the episodes game of thrones interviews where it's like it wasn't the show great. Here's how great we are stuff like. Tires me out. Sometimes what I liked it. I think I listened to all of them. Peter Segel's interviewing which is nice says. 'cause I like talk and it's cool because they get into a lot of the stuff. You're talking about why they changed things and it's the show runner and he's like explaining usually pretty quickly about like oh this. It was a composite character because whatever reason we want a real person. Radiation just freaks messed up man. It just freaks me out the initiative in bad Chernobyl. I think it might be bad. I don't really like watching the show..

"Growing up in a whole different set of circumstances but I remember that day that I walk in that classroom and they have a few with it was to you what would you say you look the students in the eye you have to you have to talk about that yet I had to address what just happened I didn't know that it was gonna happen over and over and over again over the next ten fifteen twenty years. that day I remember looking at my students for the first time in in it was no longer just about me and those students and what we're learning in the culture of really being an educational academic environment you know having to deal with those kind of issues and then wonder why. now with the student what it what is under that coat or jacket and it changes the dynamics of what we were producing and who we are what we're about what does it mean to be an education academic institution what are we teaching our kids all of that culture is fundamentally changed thank you very much it's almost time is expired miss Kelly you're recognized for much. So I'm thrilled to share today's guest with you. And that is miss destiny Berman and she's been called the strategist in secret visionary behind today's most widely recognized online schools in the holistic coaching and mindfulness space after fifteen years in Silicon Valley managing clients like Twitter HP, and Microsoft, she left in two thousand fourteen to follow her calling today. She's the digital marketer and launch manager for multiple six and seven figure online education platforms successes that have touched the lives of millions of women world wide. And you guys I'm so thrilled to have her on because I actually got to spend a year masterminding with her and the wisdom that she brought into the room in whenever she would talk about really getting your message out there. She truly works. With a lot of health, and spiritual coaches and really helps them not only get out into the world and to really help support themselves financially, but she helps own the message, and I really find that. That is where the disconnect is it's not it's truly not ever about. I don't know how to make money. It's like, I don't know how to truly own this. So that I feel solid in what I'm doing in sharing. Because when we feel solid in our message everything can come together, and she truly gives it really beautiful strategy in everything that she does. So if you guys are ready for some strategy. This is going to be your girl, but the conversation is so much more than that. It's about owning your truth and adding that in incorporating it into what you want to do. So let's get started. Destiny. I'm so excited to have you on the show today? Thank you for joining me. I'm so happy to be here. Laurie. I feel like such a great connection, and I'm just thrilled to be here. Okay. So they're like a million things. I wanna talk to you about because destiny, and I got to spend like the last year in a mastermind together. And I'm always extremely drawn to you. Because of number one what you have to say. But you also have this like I'm sure you've heard this before. But you have this very Wyatt. Power about you. And something that I love like this is so important for people to hear you can show up in a room, and you can be felt, and you can be seen without having to, you know, be loud or be the most outgoing person in the room or b the person who has to say everything that they're doing which both are great. But I know for me, it's always power powerful for me from. Former shy person to see someone who can show up powerfully without saying anything. So that's you for me. So I'm always like, I don't know. I just always loved that example. So have you known that about yourself kind of a healing? That's been that's been evolving for me end part of the Mitch process has been comfortable with that. Because there's a part of need where I want to be, you know, more loud, more expressive, right? Always been like lifelong Hamid myself throw one express how comfortable in might spread Suma. And I never would have guessed that you are shy. Thumbs afraid that you said that as you were speaking of the getting goosebumps enough usually assigned that I'm this being really connected right now that I'm disrobing see by. Yes. So I guess the answer is guests now are kind of belted a kind of known expressing myself as always been ongoing journey. I think for me too. It was it's a powerful recognition for me to the U because it's acknowledgement that I don't have to there's a belief sometimes that I have to speak up in show up in make my rounds in the room in order to be seen in foul in that's not necessarily true. So ex premiering that back to me. That's amazing. So destiny, I would love for you to share kind of your background on what you do. But but what got you there? So let's see the universe short away. Now. It's like how long do you want? Do you want to take the whole hour on this or? I San Francisco, and so I've been a digital marketer for what when a years now, my gosh also makes me feel old. No, you started when you were like three it's fine. What? And fifteen of those years, I spent working at tech companies all all appearances, go out been driving campaigns or with Brown's like Twitter like Microsoft. I like share that launched the for a beauty insider, they're all in campaign before the world it up. This is back in two thousand eight. So it's been a long time being in a space. I love I love tech. I love how fasting smooth. I love half assing debate. And yet kind of along the same the red in the last fifteen years, I've immersed myself in a lot of transformational work in a lot of healing work in. I can go pretty will. Can go traditional therapy and whatnot in done a lot of outward has in so four or two four and a half years ago. I left who wanted to do something for myself. And essentially what unfolded was I found myself helping a lot of strong leaders and yoga teachers healers transformation on teachers launched on education platforms and really making that assessable from people really helping them Rowan prosper, both an impact. But also with Inc.
