"The following program would be recorded Voices you trust Kitty O'Neil kfbk Afternoon New on News, 93.1. This's Scarborough USA. I'm Kevin McCarthy with Jerry Reynolds, the car pro And I've always been a little bit of a skeptic. Maybe a lot of a skeptic about electric cars. But I can't tell you, Jerry, the details that you included in this week's newsletter about the all electric Cadillac lyric. Yes, is a head Turner. It's a beautiful, beautiful vehicle on Biff. Everybody's right and people who supposedly in the nose a is going to start it around $75,000 if that's true. That sounds good. It'll be 100,000 when you equip it, just of course, the world today we live in, but The performance of people will learn quickly. The performance of electric vehicles is amazing, and this one is supposed to have around 500 miles of range. If they do, they won't be able to build enough of him. That's a big difference Maker. It's not day with me. I mean, Some of the Tesla's. They're doing really well on range. But if it's not unlike The batteries in your cell phone if you've had one from 20 years ago versus today, and I've been saying this for years that these batteries were going to get better. They're gonna get lighter, better range and looks like the that time is coming, You know, electric vehicles not going to be for everybody, but you're going to have a better choice out there. And the thought of never going to a gas station again is pretty dog unappealing to me. Let's talk to Rita in Los Angeles reader. What can I do for you? Hi there earlier on today's show, you and Kevin we're talking about the merits of Honda vehicles. And at one point you mentioned comparison to Lexus Electric 500 except the difference of $20,000 that entreat me enough to want to call I'm calling Well, I used. I had a Lexus LX 400 for 13 years loved it, but it was time to get New car, and I ended up with a route for which is what I have now, but I've never loved. I've never loved the ride of it. I've missed Alexis. But hearing what you said about the Hyundai. I would like you to please elaborate a little bit more from that particular vehicle that you're talking about. In terms of its Reliability, longevity ride and resale value as compared to elective Genesis. It's the Genesis brand that I was talking about. Currently, they make three sedans, Aggie, 70 80 80 90. Gina T. Is the flagship. It's the biggest one. They come, and it's the one I compared to the L S 500. And I've had both. I did not do the review on the G 90 but I had it back in. June and I had two reviews that week, and whatever else I had, I decided to do a write up on it because it was a much more popular vehicle. The Jean I T comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, so reliability certainly isn't an issue. It also comes with a constant air service. Which means that you never visit their service department. You call them. They bring you a loner. They pick up your car. They do what you need done, and they bring it back to you clean. And looking back. It was brand new. The other good thing is, it's got three years of free maintenance. There's a lot that comes with the genesis. I think it rides. As well. I think the interior is as nice I believe it to be as quiet inside is the less you ask about resale value. That's not as good As the Lexus is, but I think it's just because the genesis brand if still fairly new if I weren't everybody that asked me about the link and Alexis l x. L s Tell them to drive the Genesis G 90 with that, kiddo. We got to run..

"Grandpa. You're good. Well, I saw a picture of your hand and it's a great Ted. I was wondering what the heck is going on with that You had something with the superglue and this is a one So yesterday, Miss Alexis Yesterday Cyclones kid. He handed me his headphones and he's like told me that they were broken. And I didn't notice they're broken. At first. I was like, Oh, there was like a hairline fracture to the top of his his headphones. I might go. No problem. I'm super Mom. I could fix that. So I grabbed my little tiny screwdriver and pop the little piece back in. I need to pop, but I got out the super glue. And it's the you know, and it's it's ah off, brandished a variety of superglue, and so I went to squeeze it and it didn't come out. At first, which should have been patience. Paddle wan Just don't That's what I should have done. But that's not what I did when I did a squeeze harder, of course. And so it like shot all over my hand over my know out of it just gushed out of the nozzle. So it hit where it needed to. So what I hurried up was like I actually used it is much like good. To fix the headphones that I was, But then it got all over the back of my hand. And then it was like and and so I'm like, Okay, well, now I atleast had enough presence of mind to extend my fingers so that my fingers didn't get all Together together, right, So that leaves my hand was open. So it's not cool, like remember when we were little kids, and you put the Elmer's glue on your hand. You make that cool, fake skin with Elmer's glue. That's awesome. That doesn't work with superglue. That's not the way it works at all. You're really exactly I had a quite I have quite a lot of nail Polish remover side has dumped it in a bowl and then just landed there and waited. I had my friend. She said that vegetable oil would also work, but I was already committed to the Um, the nail polish remover, and it didn't work. You just have to let it soak for a second. And if you've ever had, but there's no cuts on your finger. No, no. Yeah, Exactly. And, you know, whole thing is that I knew. So that's how you get your fake nails off is soaking up like that. And a lot of times they're held on with basically nail glue, which is pretty much superglue anyway, so I knew it worked if I just calm down. And so I was like, calm. So you're freaking out like now and have to go to the emergency room and I don't want to go there. And but no it it all worked out it all. It's all fine. And you can tell I managed to get it all off. And then I forgot that it hit my leg. And it didn't occur to me until I went to get undressed last night, and I want to pull out my leggings and it was stepped up the little just a little. Just a little. I'm okay. It didn't scar, but it was enough that I know is when I took him off like you should have thought about it. It's going to be short soon, like, cut it off exactly it off. I think I'm okay. You know, I managed to make it through unscathed so far, but it's those things where you go. All right, you know better than to do this. You know that you should just calm down and that the answer is not route force, right? But you still have the time. Exactly. Just squeeze it harder. Why wouldn't that be The answer? Why, Of course, that's going to turn out. Well, Absolutely not Never. I've done every time and I always catch myself. You know, there's certain things in my life where I'm going. Hey, if you just calm down, this would have turned out so much better. I'd like broken keys off and locks by trying to force it. You know, you know, everything that I've broken has usually been from I tried to force something. It's only just backed up and just been fine. And then she'll But chill is not my middle name, and that's not how I don't lead with chill. Well, I'm excited to talk next about Pokemon Go because I wonder how chill you are right now, although we'll see when we give them what they really have to ask you that I'm going to tell you all about it. "On this Wednesday, July 29th. I'm Ryan Gorman with me this evening, Felix Vega and James Berland er on the board Coming up this hour will talk to ABC action news reporter Katie Lagrone. We were just discussing the situation that the governor is dealing with trying, Tio. Potentially reopen for visitation, some long term care facilities. It's a very difficult balance. It's a really, really tough call on what Katie reported on the other night. Are some long term care facilities that have been disciplined for putting residents at risk for Cove in 19 So we'll get into that and a lot more with her real quick before we dive into the main story that we want to cover here, there's an update at Hillsborough County on testing. This is separate from what the state announced the suspension of state testing sites. Starting tomorrow at 5 p.m. Right. So this is the other county sites that are in Hillsborough County. Course. Raymond. Teens run by the state in conjunction with the county, but also the community resource is Beauty resource centers in Plant City and South Shore are closed test sites and Brandon My momma, Sun City and town and country are also closing and all testing appointment from Friday, August 4th. Or Tuesday on Friday, August 1st through Tuesday, August 4th are all cancelled as well. They say they will send out communications directly to those appointment Holder's about how they can reschedule. So again. All county testing sites in Hillsborough County's are shut down now through Tuesday, August 4th, at least again, depending on the weather. They may decide to reopen because they're able to get those operations up and running fairly quickly in the different locations that they are already set up in. So Hillsborough County, the first to pull the trigger here in the Tampa Bay area locally, I'm sure you'll see other counties follow suit, and then it just depends on where the storm goes. Which I don't think I want to know for a little bit rights. Probably, you know, maybe have a better picture tomorrow. When we come on the air supposed to where things stand right now, where is a lot of uncertainty with the track? Let's spend a couple of minutes talking about this mysterious story. Ah, missing ST Pete Mother. Has Died in Nebraska. Let me go back to the beginning. The original story that was reported on what happened, Wass. ST P. Police were alerted a week ago. About a missing mother and daughter. They were last seen last Wednesday evening at around 11:30 p.m. At their home, family and friends of the disappearance very unusual for Angela Alexis Jolly. Their two dogs were also missing. Alexis didn't show up for work. The next day. Both their cell phones were found inside the house. So when you get to missing people And the cell phones were there. They're not showing up for work. It's not like them. Obviously, that raises some alarms. And then there was an update yesterday. Which Raised a lot of eyebrows. ST. P. Police held the news conference yesterday morning with some new details on the missing safety Mom and her daughter and they said they were last seen on surveillance video packing up their car with their dogs. On the morning they were reported missing. And then, shortly after that, they were seen again on surveillance video from a bank near their home. Then they tracked the car and it was seen in Georgia, and then it was heading towards Alabama. And then it was seen in Memphis on Saturday. So at that point The authorities don't think that they're in any harm. They just decided to head out of town without letting anybody know which is certainly Strange. And then the next twist in this story came today. When we learns that the mother, 46 year old Angela Jolly. She died after a medical emergency. In Nebraska. So that's where we're at. The daughter. I guess she was with the mother at time that she passed away and she contacted relatives to let them know that her mother had died in the cheese. Safe. What the hell is going on? Is there more than we know, because we don't know why they left and we also don't seem to know why the mother died or how she died. No, there's a lot of unanswered questions, and they're really not saying Too much more than what they are, because for all intents and purposes, from an investigative standpoint, the case is over with because they left voluntarily. There's really not many questions they can ask unless the daughter Alexis kind of Volunteers the information to either relatives or the relatives in you know, share it with the media at this point, not necessarily the detectives because yesterday when they found out when you walked back through with the surveillance video. They found them on Friday, the two of them in the car 30 minutes after Angela was supposed to be at work at Bay Pines, Va. Center, which is the first indication we knew something was wrong with her boss. Lord of the police and said, You know, she's not supposed to be here so over the weekend, you know they were able to get kind of surveillance video from these different places. And it's amazing how the technology has advanced so far in missing merchants cases because I remember back maybe 10 15 years ago where you would not have known any of this probably for a good week or so. And for the detectives, Ableto pieced together not only find that key surveillance video but then creating a timeline of where they were in verifying that they weren't in danger. That's something they did to stop decided to do on their own. For what reason? We still don't know. That's the big mystery. I saw one report today that they had apparently planned. On moving to Nebraska. But then they didn't really We don't know They packed anything with them and the better. They just took off without telling anyone. You left their cell phones and they let their cell phones behind and their stepfather was living with with Alexis. The stepfather was living with them. So it leaves a lot of unanswered questions when he didn't know right, so I think at some point Well, no more, depending on who wants to talk, and that's going to be the big the big mystery because, like I said, for ST P police, it's like, but we know that the mom's dead we know that the girls, okay. And they really can't really ask any more questions because, like I said they voluntarily left. The threat is sorry. You can't leave all of us hanging. We We need to know where now we're invested in the story, and we get it like that. It's not good enough. We gotta know now I want to know what what in the world's happened Where the dogs and the dogs? Okay, Dawson, I saw I saw that in the press conference that went on today. They were actually they believe they were with the mother and the daughter. But Apparently they've been taken into custody and they are safe. I don't know where they are. They're in Nebraska where they're in, You know, Still here in Saint Petersburg gets another unanswered question that we have So far. They just said that the dogs are in fact safe. One of things I want to point out and I know you're dismayed by my lack of answers for the Yes, I want answers. But the end of the story was My point is, is that if ST P police gets war information that they can share and the family wants to share with them, I'm sure they will release that. Everyone wants to know about it. If the family wants to, they can also go to the media explained. You know what happens in the media could go ask them. What I thought was interesting is the way that they tracked them down because they have them at the machine at 6 52 In the morning. Then they got in indication, a traffic camera caught their license plate in Valdosta are 5 75 on Interstate 75 at 11 29. So between seven and 11 30. That's enough time to get from ST P to Valdosta without an excessive speed or any need for a hurry, that sort of thing. And then there were several other traffic cameras caught them. Another one. 4:35 p.m. On I 20 which connects Atlanta into Alabama heading West, and then they were spotted again in Columbus, Mississippi, later that night, and then we know that they were also in Memphis By Friday night. The next night ever seen on a surveillance camera was 709 Saturday morning entering Tennessee again just south of Memphis, so whether they left sometime overnight, then came back into Memphis. That's also something that's very odd to me. You know why they were Where they were going. Number one and the right The trail stopped there because ST P police was trying tip was having to call every police department they can figure out on whatever route they may be traveling on is like, Hey, can you check your traffic cameras? No. One giant network of traffic cameras exactly throughout the country mostly run state by state or county by county. So the times are frantically calling, you know, Thes department saying Can you check your traffic cameras on? You know I 75 on I 20 anywhere in their location nearby toe looking for just that one particular license plate or description of the vehicle. And the three that they had. They were able to see not only the vehicle itself, but in some of the surveillance video. Both of them were still in the car together. We now know that was the case. They made it to Nebraska. What happened to Angela? That's the $1,000,000 question because it says she died of a medical episode. Well, if yeah, they know.

Because he don't hit the bottom and now her mind she had saying good. Because the PENISTON Jackie late in our brain as we know I call that when the Dick Touch the Hort. Today's people I like is Miss Alexis K. Tyler of Atlanta into Georgia. who does sex videos with her mom? WHO's every time? Her Mom is completely appalled uncomfortable and and honestly honestly like I find her mom. Doing this dance of. I want to Chime in and this conversation but also I can't even believe Ravin this conversation K.. Tyler she. Yeah I'd like a like a public access show where she would talk about section and I just really appreciate it because she's kind of like a black sister girl Dr Ruth and she's using language and reference says that are very you know the for familiar to not only like a black community but also like a more youthful community and she was just so frank and how she would speak that like you'd have to get over any of your uncomfortableness notable nece because she saying Shit and you're like I gotta shake it off. I gotTA take it off. The reason why it was always interesting is because like she would be dressed in a turtleneck with a blazer her hair in a park down the middle with You know a a nice necklace. She presented as like a professor assert or a social worker but then she would be straight like giving you the real row about the real in a row and I have her as my person I like because I just feel like there's a certain point where like that's the only type of conversations stations about sex that we need to be having and I don't think that that means that that's in middle school or high school but I think that a lot of the conversation that we're talking about today isn't isn't simply about being a teenager and dealing with the concept of virginity and not virginity Or when you're having sex and deciding not to but like as an adult you know and this concept of like how sex is positioned in our society as value system. And when someone is just being honest and real about it I feel like we start to dismantle that and I think it's so important that we start to dismantle that because it serves no real real value purpose in our advancement none and that's why people will be like. Oh my God. You're so crass you so frankly about it. That's why because as I just don't feel like we should be ashamed. I think that there's a certain level of privacy that you can keep a certain level of intimacy that you hold dear but in terms of like the realities of things that can happen in sexual situations like a lot of people. Don't talk about that because they think it's a reflection of them in a negative way. They think that it seems that if they talk about it that they are somehow a war or a slut or a womanizer etc etc etc and this like Nah keep it hunted like I really prefer like when I'm dating a dude and he just keeps it one hundred with me about what his sexual passes not because I'm trying to place value on it but because I play some value on our honesty and so if you just present it to me as this is something that's happened in my past. I'm not looking like some revelation as much as I'm looking at it like thank you for keeping it a bug that you fucked other people before you got here. 'cause that's a fact for you you and it's a fact for me so I really appreciate people like Alexis K.. Tyler appreciate the work that she continues to do and that her videos are continuing to permeate eight instagram etc etc.. And when you see me talking I talk in small doses potent truce everyday use my book. That has now been released is available. Wherever books are sold? I do speak about the the whole Phase I speak about. You know sex when you're with somebody in a relationship then when you're not like I speak candidly about sex because I'm inspired by someone like Alexis. Gay Tyler to remove the veil of stigma around something that everyone is either doing thinking about doing or talking about other people doing That let's talk about that one time..

She has a pretty good perspective on what it's like to be a student and Anassa intern now in two thousand nineteen so with no further delay. Let's go right ahead to our talk with Mr Jonathan Abbari and miss Alexis fans. Enjoy. County. We have. Jonathan alexis. Thank you so much for coming on the podcast today to talk about the pathways, internships, something very near and dear to my heart. Yeah. Thanks for having us. All right. So what's nice about this episode is we were all or now currently are pathways interns at some point in our lives. So let's start with just where we came from. You know, I think. It's important to sort of go back and say, you know, there's there's certain minimum requirements that you can have to to get into the pathways internship. But you know, I think we all have sort of a unique story not everyone is the same so Jonathan where did you come from? Sure. So so my journey with NASA began actually whenever I was in high school. I went to a local high school in the Houston area and one of the opportunities that was available was like a high school internship with NASA were I my senior year of high school. I went to school for the morning and then for four hours in the afternoon, I actually came to GNC to to support the mission out here. And so it was a really great experience. After that. I actually ended up moving into the college version of that program. And then from there applied to the pathways internship program. And was fortunately accepted for that. And tried out a few different organizations during that stint and. Ultimately was given a fulltime offer for employment upon graduation from my undergrad degree. So it's been a really really cool were really cool road. The the pipeline of the student programs has been really exceptional as well for me. And and that's what's been really kind of cool seeing that that is something that continues to this day with the outreach programs that NASA Johnson Space Center offers to the country really helps us in sourcing an applicant pool that that builds in a group that's ready to do the mission. That's that's available for us here JSE..

"To the rape of children that is a felony and a serious one at that. What do you mean an accessory? He's some weird religious call where he thinks it's okay to marry underage girls. But he didn't do it. Why wouldn't the guy who actually did it with sex with underage broke? He should be the one who's doing. So that got people's attention, right? Because this came out of nowhere. Then they talk about there's a difference between rape. And this in our state. Showing you. A sixteen year old and a twenty three year old is not the same street. Rapier that. Yeah. Yeah. Well, wait. Whoa. He also went on to say, hey, look, let me tell you something. This person's making a commitment. Right. Somebody who rapes you doesn't make a commitment. This person's making the take care of you for the rest of your life. But he had stopped there. Talked about Alexis Stewart and Bubba the love sponge in fairness, and for those of you guys don't know, I think Martha Stewart had or still has a serious. Channel and. One of my producers knows miss Alexis Stewart and says everything they said here is pretty much spot on debate politics with the woman, especially feminist, you're talking to a feminist, and she's giving you a well, you know, men really need to be more sensitive, and now actually meant don't need more sensitive to be quiet and kind of do what you're told enlighten up a little bit of love it. That's Stewart we run into her all the time. Seems like a cheating. Apple. She seems extremely oh. Using the word. They're using the seaward. Right. Some of the other things he said, I love women, but they're extremely primitive their basic. They're not that hard to understand. Now. He's not walking this back. And it says, you know, what I said it I'm not going to walk it back. Not going to do any of those things. It is what it is. I'm out walking it back. There you go. What do you think of that? Of course, he's getting hammered for today. You know, trending is fire Tucker and boycott, you know, FOX in all of this stuff. It's the world that we live in a land, Mike because somebody's always out to get you because they don't like what you say. And I've talked about this on numerous occasions and the craziness of this day and age where you know, twenty years ago, if somebody didn't agree with you the whole thought process is I want to show you what you're thinking is antiquated. What's your thinking is wrong? Let me give you a different viewpoint, and let me give you different facts and different narrative on what you're hearing. And I'm going to try to change you into my think, right? Nowadays. It's let's just punish we, and we don't want just punish you. We wanted to stroll you. We don't want you to exist anymore. We wanna take away every opportunity for you to earn a living anywhere period. Case close he's on with Bubba. The love sponge. First of all the fact that Tucker went on there. Probably didn't think, you know, five six eight ten years from now this is going get me in so much hot water. It's exactly it's Bubba. The love sponge. This is the guy who let hulk HOGAN sleep with his wife. So kind of you're going on this show issue kind of figure out what you're getting here. And what you're gonna do do. I think it's right or wrong. I don't know the guy was he being funny was he saying crazy things to get a reaction. Yeah. You can't even do that anymore. You can't even do that anymore. Like, I say, I don't know him personally interviewed him a couple of times cease to be a nice guy and his book. I find it to be very interesting. He he talks about kind of what a bit of an elitist is and the and the blessed life, he's come from. But as far as this stuff goes, look, this is causing them hell, and he's not backing down from it. And that's one of the things that I think in any of these situations that has to happen anymore is if we're going to. If we're going to fight these things, meaning every time that somebody says something that somebody else doesn't like, and we like we need to boycott. So and so show we need to get him fired. We need to get her fired. If that's going to happen, and you do it over and over again. Groups are going to understand that you are. Owned by them. Now, you are essentially dare puppet. And it's when other groups who are working with these people who has Tucker Carlson, or or any of these people stand up and say, you know, what we're not gonna do that. We're not going to do. Because what ends up happening is the more that you sit there and say, we're not gonna do it. The less of an impact they have. But if you continue to allow these things to happen, again, how much of that was real how much of that was him playing the audience and having fun with somebody that I don't know. But he's for fusing to back down from it. And I find that to be very interesting in this day and age. Very interesting in this day and age, in fact, CNN's got Tucker refused to do apologize for his misogynistic remarks. We'll find out what happens and we'll find out if money's going to be the end all to Beal. 'cause you know, some people oh back away from him. Because that's just what they're gonna say. And we don't really want to be associated with is. We're going to back away from a little bit. Totally understand that you may not want your product to be associated with somebody who said those kind of things. But a lot of times what happens is people back away. And then they'll look around and think all right. Well, nobody's paying attention. We'll come back to you. Because there's a lot of eyeballs on you. And our whole thing is we need to reach as many people and often the people that are saying don't watch this guy. He's a horrible human being have never watched this guy. Three two three five three eight twenty four twenty three at Chadbensonshow is your Twitter. You could tweet at us love hearing from each and every one of us. So I talked about earlier is because again, the young Turks this young group of people of the forty Democrats thirty six of them thirty five of them are so were moderate Democrats that have come in to. Politics who aren't insane. But this young group is really moving the needle and they've even got people in their own party scared. Think about that. We're talking about Tucker Carlson, they've got people inside their own party who are scared to say anything against them. But she was at south by south west talking about America, the thing that is really.
