Was it ten years ago when you always looking at you on television and you're this like little girl and now she's gone through college and she's fixing, she's like 22. Now I think in the episodes. Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, we met when we were like 11 or 12. What? It is really insane to be back all these years later and doing the show again, but it's been such a cool experience getting to be back with Nathan and Jerry. Executive producer. Okay. Let her go. I have to go out on you 'cause she's not saying it. Okay. EP hello. And every every stage of production. She is there. She's in the writers room. She's in post production. She's editing. We're having three hour conversations at 11 o'clock at night saying, how do we do this sequence? And that's been fun because she's peeing it and then for the episodes that I get to direct, then we work together in a completely different way. Because love about this is that you guys are able to work together and do this and it's like it shows in the out product because you guys are so good at it and you've been doing it for so long. How does it feel to have that power to be able to be like I'm eating? It's kind of awesome to go from just being a kid learning lines on a show to getting to be such a big part of the final product. And that was I think something that we really appreciated about paramount plus and Nickelodeon was they understood that we're one of the few people that came over from the original show. So it's a whole new team of writers and fresh faces. So I think they valued the fact that we were the characters and we know them and we love them and we want to do the fans justice when they watch this show. So being able to have that kind of collaborative relationship and really be involved in the creative process was very new but really fun and I think hopefully it resonated. It's resonating and you know what, you guys have kept your reputation's clean it's like because everybody don't get it. Your reputation is really clean and I loved something happen on TikTok that I love..

I always say, you know, I don't know, or you know, and each season I think, well, maybe I can do one more. But then the reunion comes and I'm like, no, I really am done. Goodbye over and out. "Today's question is do buy t shirts or other souvenirs at concerts sporting events etc. I certainly used to do that a lot. And i have like a whole duffel bag full of old t shirts from jimmy. Buffet concerts and bruce springsteen concerts. And what all that. I never wear anymore partly because but it's a but i keep them. I treasure them and i totally would continue to do. So if i went to concerts and events. That is one reason. I don't do it anymore. And the other is because oh my gosh has stuff gotten expensive that that takes some of the fun out of it doesn't it. I mean you spend the ticket to the concert or event in the first place you know you have to hawk child and then and you can have a souvenir or for you got kids. We'll give you a t-shirt. So that takes a lot of the fun out of it. But the last i thought the last cod starting went to. I think i took my son in his buddy to a miranda cosgrove concert and i bought them souvenirs even though are price because darn it. This is the concert experience. Your this is a lot of money to go. Every seven year. Old is a tiktok celebrity and together navigating love and work and all the uncertainties of young adulthood. That we went through are going through really and the thing that i remember loving about the show as a kid and it really still stands now is that they have this group of friends that have really become their family. And i just think it's that message of like you. Create your family just by the people that you surround yourself with and so miranda cosgrove is back as carly shay jerry. Trainor is back as her brother spencer. And then of course. Nathan kress returns as freddie benson so in addition to that there's two new cast members lacey moseley please harper whose carly's remain in her best friend and then jaden triplet plays freddie's stepdaughter. Kind of like snarky social media savvy. It's just. I can't believe freddie even has a stepdaughter but it's just really exciting when these shows that were such a source of nostalgia in your childhood are brought back in a way that makes so much sense and it's just done right and i think for me as a real pleasure to see a show that has done so right so cue the exploding muffins. "Oh we got our first. Look at the i. Carly reboot a trailer was released. And it's just kind of mixed feelings. I think that there are times when the reboot comes out. Where i'm like. Yes that looks bad. But i'm gonna watch like i watched every and not saying it was bad because it wasn't it was so good i watched every episode of full house loved house put in that fell different because it was kind. More centered on new characters. And i don't really know how many new characters are going to be in. I carly still centered around the same main characters but it just i don't know it just didn't snag me as much as i kinda thought it would. Here's the thing. I don't think it's marketed to us i. I don't think. I think nobody neither was fuller house. I understand that. But i think maybe full fuller house yet was marketed. A little bit more to an older crowd even though was very young. Whereas i think that kinda girl meets world too. I think that with icon charlie because so many young kids started watching i carly because it was put on net flix. Yeah and they got a new audience from the so all the kids that watched i carly now are like. Oh my god. We're getting more carly and they're happy about that even though the you know the characters aren't the he's not in it sam's not in and obviously we're not gonna be laughing at these jokes because to be completely honest it wasn't even that funny to begin with but when we were kids we thought it was really funny. Some some jokes hold up some do not but for entertainment purposes. If i was a kid. I think i'd be all in on this. I think i'd rather as keep rewatching. The old i carly. I'm sure i'm going to check this out just to see what happens within it's cool and i think it's a good idea and i think that a lot of people are gonna watch it but i don't think it's marketed to us. I think that's why we're kinda like yeah and also because we it's a show that we knew and loved for so long you the the characters aren't the same and so it hits it. Sparks a nerve. It might also. Because i never really loved i carly also really like yeah. I would've make sense early in the first place. And what makes you think you're gonna like. I don't know i. I haven't even put it back on since it's been on netflix. And i really don't think i would enjoy it as as much as i did. It really enjoy the way you're explaining. I don't think you would either. A few episodes and for some reason and it's like other things in life that have scared me. That are not actually scary like that. That's even episode with paula abdul. The scared me my whole life. "We bantered for like a month just on facebook like we didn't exchange phone numbers for i think a month So many ways like that also. I like looking back. It almost kept it exciting because there were like levels that you had to get you know what i mean like. It wasn't all at once. What did you think by the way.
