"Very disappointed in you. This week guys, let's go ahead and do a little recap. Yes. All right. So last time, Callie goaded Glenn into explaining the situation in the living wood. He told her that the blue elves so hot. Have besieged so hot so good. It's so hot, so good. It's such a hot besieging. Fucking loaded. She told her that. They didn't go there. He told her that the blue elves had besieged the deep elves and displaced many of the other factions. Some of whom now fight for Glenn, who is threatening to work against the crick. If they won't work with him, decidedly not hot. Not hot at all. Callie returned to go to swag and dag and reported her findings when faced with the choice of aligning with or fighting against Glenn, you came up with a third option. Kill the king and stop an invasion of the crick from happening in the first place. Hot. That did go did. Loaded goaded and hot. We got a name of the episode. Simply not show. Absolutely go. The plan seemed completely impossible at first until you realized that you had a few allies locked within the king's dungeons. Shroom rot and the deep elf rangers of his outpost. When you presented the idea to mima, she brought up another potential ally, her grandson, a ranger who had not returned home and was likely nabbed by the blues. With a plan to infiltrate the castle and free some allies, you prepared to leave the crick using a potion that meemaw gave you and some medicinal molsons, you teleported back to the living wood. Outside of the king's fortress. When you arrive, you saw the massive king dorata returning to his fortress, temporarily blanketing the sky in shadow. You posed as blue elves and blue dragonborn and joined to scouting party, but bailed once you realized they were going to face the king. You pivoted and managed to convince some jailers to switch switch, shifts with you after a strange lie about bed and breakfast reservations. Remember that? I think hot was a question with a question mark it's the right. Very hot. And you were able to enter the castle posing as guards. Once there, you saw the king finishing off the scouting party. He was furious that they did not bring him any void elf rangers, but was comforted

"A fucking pace. I feel like I'm having trouble keeping up with what's hot. If you were there, you know to solve this. I think it's just like anything he does is hot. It's the confidence. Yeah. And it's weird too, 'cause when he was like, the little sill that he's in, like, we didn't take any of his clothes off, but he took his shirt off. Okay. All right, so he's like when someone's there. It's like hot. Bumpy, you need to stop describing the situation. He's glistening for sure. Anyway. So he came. We put him in the time out tree. He's, he's in a cell right now. We sent our scouts ahead, and sure enough, he's telling the truth. There's a bunch of dragons and soldiers set up camp about ten miles out. The greens? Yes, hit the greens. It's a mix. I think it's some of the people that were left over from the summit. There's white dragons, white dragon elves. Greens, a couple blues. And look, they're not that sizable of a force, but we can't really afford to fight him and the blue elves. We're in a tough spot. The old folks circle is gathering to not devote on it. Glenn says, he was back in the living wood last night and did some recon and thinks we got about two days before the blues show up. But all right. He plays his cards a little closer to the chest when he talks to people like, like meemaw, people in authority, but I don't know, Callie, maybe he can get something out of him. Me? I don't know, you know him, right? I mean, I think he knew me more than I knew him. I think he put up a visage that I would respond to. Callie, I know that you only knew one side of him, but from what you've said, I feel like he, he showed you his true intentions, he showed you some aspect of his true self. We got at least give it a shot. Yeah. Kelly, the fact that you that you know that he's two faced means you know him better than you think you do already. Yeah. Yeah, but the problem is both of those faces are fucking gorgeous. I know. He doesn't have a bad side. You know, I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. And the abs, I know. Yeah. Yeah, he's two faced and like 12 Abd. I know. Do you want bumpy to pretend to be your boyfriend? All right, I don't know why I had to go into this. Just to make him jealous. I guess I could do it too. Actually, that would be great. That would be really now we're talking song. All right. Okay, yeah, if so was my fake boyfriend, I think I've got the confidence to do it. I guess I'll need a new alias. All right, will. Timeout trees just over yonder and see he points out in the distance away from the town square. I cast a third level push up bra. So I'll make a wig out of dragon nose hair. So that you have a beautiful mane. Yeah. I freeze Callie's ass, so it's like rock hard. Insane. Hands in gang, squeeze them, squeeze them. You guys go towards the timeout tree and you find this dark tree with naked branches. Gnarled roots. There is an archway in its trunk. Beyond which you just see darkness. And outside guarding it, there are two rangers. They look like guards, black dragon masks, and leather armor. And after a moment, you see meemaw exit the archway. And she's helping along an older crick elf with stringy white hair. He looks devastated and just kind of just like staring off. He's got like dark circles under his eyes, double and he's just kind of staring forward. And you see mima is kind of comforting him. Walks out with him, whispers something to him. And he just kind of stays there, and then she walks over to you guys, and she goes, oh, hey, sorry I missed y'all coming back. It's fine. What is happening here? Well, Glenn kind of got us in a tough spot here. He showed up with an army. And he's essentially offered his services in the downside. Is he threatening us? Essentially to swoop in. After both sides have diminished each other, you think it's a play. You think it's not sincere. I think that he sincerely wants to fight on the side of the crickets. Sorry, let me rephrase that. He wants to lead to the crick elves into glorious battle. So in a way, it's sort of like a coup.

"Y'all ready to go? Yeah. Yeah. You see that mima is pouring various. It looks like she had bottled a bunch of stuff that she had put together last night, like these potions that she had kind of made with the help of the other druids. They start passing it along. You see, she takes these tinctures and pours them into a cauldron and then wraps them up into like a big cloth. You see that bumpy comes to see you guys off. You see, she hands the cauldron with the cloth to pinacle. And peanut goal flies up into the air with it. And you see that she looks up to two nearby trees and she goes, blanche, Barlow. Some of the position. You see these two trees begin moving, revealing themselves to be tree ants. You hear huge creeks as their giant oak and branches extend. You see mimon nods to a chipper monk who climbs up a nearby tree in a moment later, it signals peanut to fly by and peanut drops the cauldron so that it waters the two tree ants, the concoct with the concoction that mima was just putting together. And you see, as the potion hits their leaves, they begin to shimmer and shine with power as their leaves and branches twist and turn to make an elaborate gate. The perimeter of it glows as the branches intertwine, the glow intensifies until building to a flash, and when it settles back to a normal globe, you can see beyond it, a blurry passage into a new world, you could just make out various shapes of large beasts from afar and greenery. Wow,

"The more now on Mississippi, we turn to Jackson 16th, W APT news anchor and reporter Troy Johnson to the latest. I guess the easiest way to set the scene is you just came out of a flood situation. Fortunately, the floodwaters start to mitigate. And now the state is coming in and taking control of the water system because of basically a collapse of the system. People have already been under a boil water notice now for 33 days, so you haven't been able to use drinking water that's coming out of your faucet at home. Add to that, the possibility of some of that water not being able to be used to flush your toilets or your showers. That's essentially the situation that people in Jackson. And in some communities around Jackson, about a 180,000 people to bump up that number a little bit, are now dealing with. And the mayor is saying that there should be some relief soon. Do you know when they can expect some relief? That is going to be the question that we as reporters are going to be asking for some time. Not only of city leadership, but also the state of Mississippi as well. And mima, the emergency management agency here in the state. The mayor did say that he spoke with President Biden and also vice president Kamala Harris. So there are also federal assets that are going to be heading this way. The state is now stepping into assess what is happening in the OB Curtis water treatment plant. They've installed a rented pump from what I understand, one of the pumps, one of the key pumps that draws water into the water system will now be able to draw in about four to 5 million gallons of water per day. That's just a fraction of what's needed to run a city. But having those pumps go online to increase the volume of water that's able to go through the treatment plant is one situation, and then again, you have the fact that folks need drinkable water. So there are already bottled water giveaways that are happening coordinated by the city and some local organizations, but the state is also going to have a broader water distribution plan that will include the Mississippi National Guard helping to distribute water to folks. So it's kind of like you have some water situation giveaways happening around the city in little

"About a foot foot and a half around Boston And it's to the south that we're seeing a lot of those power outages that I mentioned The outages have been particularly bad on Cape Cod mima the Massachusetts emergency management agency says that sometimes on the cape are actually entirely in the dark right now As far as roads go they're in bad shape pretty much all across eastern Massachusetts It's even with regular plowing the snow's been coming down at really quite a clip Two to three inches per hour at times so that if you were out on the road you'd really only be able to see the hood of your car not much beyond that The local leaders I've spoken with they've been very pleased by the fact that per them most people are staying off the roads It's something our governor Charlie baker really emphasized repeatedly ahead of the storm And in fact the state banned tractor trailers and other big trucks from driving at all They're not allowed back on the roads till after midnight How about in the city of Boston itself How's that going Lot of heavy snow heavy wind very blustery but the city's been preparing for this for days really I spoke with Boston mayor Michelle Wu earlier on today She said her crews have been taking this very seriously This storm is historic to not only in how much snow we're getting but also in our preparations we have 920 pieces of equipment out on the roads as of 6 a.m. this morning That's snow plows and salt spreaders and bobcats Now one big concern in Boston has been have the city's homeless population will handle the storm Like a lot of cities Boston has been seeing an uptick in people who are housing insecure There's actually just a big push by the city to close down a major encampment get people living there into housing I've been in touch with shelters today They say they are at capacity Beds are full They're having to put people coming in off the street and to overflow spaces what they're calling warming centers And there are some homeless people who even amid this nor'easter or declining shelter Another element at play is Boston's public transit system the T it's been much maligned In recent years for how poorly its performed even during really basic winter weather But today I gotta say it hasn't been half bad There have been delays on bus routes some cancellations on the commuter rail lines out to the suburbs But the subway's done fairly well and it's fair to say we've seen much worse when it comes to the tea's performance I can also say that it's serious as the storm is People have been having fun with it We actually had some snowboarders out on Boston common Okay so 20 seconds when does a storm finally end It's wrapping up around 11 o'clock tonight should be tapering off entirely by midnight Local leaders I've spoken with say tomorrow be messy but folks should be able to get out on the road and Mira Michelle Wu is predicting that kids will be able to go to school on Monday No snow day Well I don't know how to feel about that But that was reporter Matt Baskin of member station GBH in Boston met Thanks so much for being with us You got it Last.

And first it's a 33 time for traffic and weather together. It's driven by the Subaru Retailers of New England. All wheel drive traffic on the threes. What do you got? Lori? We've still got lots of trouble out there. Unfortunately, with this visibility, it's really top out there with the fog. We get the rain falling, Hydro planing. I wish she would go somewhere else to But, um, pump anyway. 4 95 north, Um, watch out for that crash still in the clearing stages in the breakdown lane by route 44 in Middleborough. They did clear the crash that we had westbound on the Mass pike at 4 95. We got that going for us, which is nice. That was in West row. Still dealing with some tough stuff, though 95 south and get a crash in Attleboro just before Route one. A. It's the left hand lane. They're taken up right now, as they clear that Southbound on the northwest side of 95 continues to be tapped between the dead, Um, street overpass and 93. Now downtown. Really The toughest stuff we're seeing right now. Is that Lever connector down ramp getting I just oral drive. No big surprise there. But what is a surprise is that the Tobin is okay, as are the airport tunnels right now. Watch house for some problems. Just getting word of the situation in Walpole. This is on 1 28 South and by Coney Street, then reportedly just went into a ditch. Okay, So this is on 1 28 south on I 95 sat down there by Coney Street and Walpole. Watch out for problems there. Shamima Begum Loses Effort to Return to U.K. in Fight for Citizenship

"Court has ruled today that a young woman who ran away to join the Islamic State group should not be allowed back to challenge the government's decision. The strip. Her of her British citizenship should Mima Begum left her home in London to go to Syria. When she was 15, Now 21, she's living effectively stateless in a refugee camp in northern Syria, a lawyers argued it was impossible for her to mount any sort of defense from there. I've been speaking to one of those involved in the case, raising Brickhouse, a lawyer for the Civil rights group Liberty. First of all, her reaction to Today's really It's a disappointing day. To be honest, they're the decision that the court of Appeal made, which was the last decision in this case was a really positive one that suggested that she Mima Begum should be allowed to come back to this country so that she could have a fair trial on the Supreme Court has decided today that That's not the case and where disappointed to hear that. Yes, And in fact, the Supreme Court said that the court of Appeals judgment had bean wrong. Do not accept that. Well, we accept the Supreme Court's ruling and we respect it. Obviously, that the judge is making these decisions are hugely qualified and applying the law as they're required to do so. The problem really, is that the decision that the government initially made to remove, Remember bacon citizenship on just to be clear The case today is quite technical, but it wasn't about whether or not that original decision was the right one or the wrong one. It was about the fact that she member Begum is currently unable to take any meaningful part in that case because she's stuck in this camp in Syria. On D can't talk to her lawyers. She can't access court hearing remotely. She can't really have any proper opportunity. Tomo make her case and that's why we see this case is a really significant statement about the right to a fair trial in the U. K. And it is very concerning that the courts made the decision that it has yes and interestingly, the president of the Court, Lord read. I mean, he said the right to that fair hearing doesn't trump all other considerations such as the safety of the public. That's reasonable, isn't it? Well, it's what the court has done two days. It's essentially said that it's very much for the government to make decisions on national security on so this is quite a strong statement from the court today that where there are issues of national security going on, they're going to have a lot of respect for the decisions that are made by in this case, the home secretary on DAT is that is a legitimate petition for the court to take We have real questions there about whether the decision made by the home secretary was the right one. Given that hundreds of other people have already returned to this country from Syria, and they're return has been managed. They don't seem to have posed such a great threat to national security that they couldn't be allowed to return to this country, and we think there's a real really big risk here. That should mean the Begum is essentially being used for the government to play to the public gallery and what is a very controversial and divisive case. And she's being held up by an example. And it's accepted by everyone that the only way that we're at the moment that she could have a fair hearing of that case is if she was permitted just enter this country just for the purposes of taking part in this case that various measures that could be put in place to try and manage any risk that she posed and then proper process could happen whereby the home secretary's decision could be scrutinized in that case. Yes. Is there any other circumstances in which she might as the court put it being a safer position to take part in her appeal? I mean, could it Could it happen in another country? Do you think or does it have to happen here? I think that's really hard question to answer in terms of what happens next from the evidence that's been presented part of the case. It seems that there is a possibility. I don't know if it's a likelihood but as a possibility that she could be transferred to Iraq or two Bangladesh. That would be very worrying in both of those countries that be arrested should be executed because of hope. You know, past involvement with the Islamic state on it is very unclear. What else could possibly shift in this case that could actually allow her to take part in her appeal on the court did acknowledge that in their decision today that what is technically done is put on pause her challenge to the removal of her citizenship. It did recognize there was a chance that that that might never be able to actually go ahead.

It's funny they say the word nerd because by teachers special maths teacher high school. He would call me a nerd. I was in love with math. And i actually was an honor roll student in high school throughout the four years and my mom was so sure that i was gonna go to college and be like the best student auto by three siblings. I think she saw me as the highest chance of being like the greatest student but when it came time for me to apply for college i remember thinking about so much. I did not know exactly what i wanted to do. And because i also knew that mima will probably help me go to college as well gave me even more pressure. I did not want to choose the wrong thing. I did not want to pay for college. Study for something in not love what i was doing at the end. I do not know what i wanted. I was sure that i do know. But i didn't wanna make the decision like i was just so scared and i remember i told my mom aside zig mom i knew she was going to be so mad that stated but i said mom. I don't know what i want to do. "Going to talk about Zucchini and I understand that sale has a story about that well I just wanted to say that every time Ellen that Zucchini starts rolling in from the garden I make a particular recipe, and this recipe has its roots back in the nineteen early nineteen eighties when I lived out in the mid Hudson, Valley and I had a small baby and We just moved there. We didn't know anybody. I was totally lonely. Taking care of a baby is demanding, and just got kind of depressed right, and so my husband, one night in an attempt to cheer me up, said Let's get a babysitter and go out to dinner, so we went to West stockbridge to have dinner at Miss Ruby's cafe. We had this delicious meal and the dish that I loved most seemed like it was a very simple combination of onions and so Kini. And yet it had an amazing flavor, and so I asked Ruth the chef at the end of the meal. How that dish was prepared, and she said Oh I'm so glad you liked that dish. Mima in Texas used to make this and what it basically was was soukina onion in a pan? Some oil and the secret. Is You caramelized? You Cook Zucchini and the onion until it's Golden Brown, and starts to Carmel is, and once that happens then you add just a little bit of Sour Cream and salt and pepper, and serve it, and it is mazing so every year I remember that I remember how depressed and lonely I was. On Nice thing you know my husband did because we we don't. We don't tend to go out to eat a lot. Because we liked to cook, and we'd like our own cooking that memory of of her generosity of telling me how it made right, and how delicious it was I prepare it every year, and I am preparing it now as my Zucchini ripens in July I. Totally love that story for so many reasons I can't even tell you first of. Of all, that was so nice Oh. Dan To take for dinner second of all because she shared that information with you. It's a wonderful thing when people who love Food and love to cook share their recipes. I have no patience for people who leave out the secret ingredient that is just not cool people I just have to ask you. How was the Zucchini Cut? Was it little rounds? Was It yes, because you cut it in rally and you'll cut? Just cut the onion into either slices or chop it into bigger pieces, and then cook it in oil as I say until the secret. Is You caramelized that you let them turn that golden color? and You keep you keep stirring it, which is bachelor so that it doesn't burn? That's what An. Impulse. Simple simple and the that caramelized flavor of the Zucchini then. Combined with the creaming us of a little bit of sour cream, and you don't even need much sour cream and I suppose you could use creme, fresh or something else, or you could even put it I have in the past actually put it in a casserole dish at that point and sprinkle cheese on the top. And then put it in the oven to melt the cheese. That's another combination. Creamy nece of the dairy along with the caramelized flavor of the Zucchini and the onions. Oh, it was good and I also love the fact that it was. Her mother's recipe. Some people are so overwhelmed by Caney harvest that they really need recipe ideas. I'm betting that you. Could you know how you do that? Thing where you slice your veg and you roast them and freeze them. Do you think you do that with Zucchini? Could you slice I know you can because I do it all the time I take my excess Akini. I slice it I. Don't put oil on. On it nothing I put it on parchment paper, and a three hundred and fifty degree oven, and I cook it until the edges start to get a little golden brown color. Cool, it put them in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer, and then you can use them in anything. You are preparing all winter long. You know another thing you can do if you don't want to heat up your kitchen. I sometimes cut the Soukina those round slices and dehydrate them, and then I can just store them in a glass jar. Re hydrate them. They reheat. Really easily and really nicely, so that's something that you can store without a freezer without refrigeration once you've tried them the

Sound Of The River

"This time a story a story about a river a very special river. It's the river you can hear flowing in the background through a forest somewhere in New Zealand. The river you can hear is the Wanganui River. This recording was made recently by this woman. My name is heike like hope and Mima Danish audio storyteller documentary-maker Pica held a spent a lifetime making documentaries and stories in sound documentaries and stories in sound at a full of characters places events but almost always in our work there are also the sounds of nature like stories. That have this ECO. Centric quality where it's not necessarily humans that are in the middle where where there's When Nature Plays Part? I've always had since I was a kid. I've always had this feeling that nature sort of reflected itself into me I I would feel like a mountain I would feel like make I would feel like it's three and I've had since early childhood SLA very strong sensory experiences from Mater. I think sound is fluid. It spacious like nature is so there's something that's always been something about working with sound that mirrors this perception I have of the world and that mirrors may and can connect them like bay sometimes in sort of pristine moments also connect within me emotionally or as ideas. It's something that affects you when you're there. So how can you tell a story where whether it comes across where it's not just backdrop or pretty picture but it's actually a strong force a character almost in the story documentaries and stories come from very remote places very often places like the far north of Canada Greenland places all around Scandinavia and across the North Atlantic islands? But her latest project takes back to a place where she spent time growing up. I've just started working on a project. Actually it's a liar. I feel like I've been working on it for a long time of wanted to work on it and it's been on my mind. It's a project about the Wanganui River. It flows from the center of the North Island of New Zealand to the coast to the task. Mansi three hundred kilometers or so the river special to me because I grew up in New Zealand lift by this river and my family immigrated to New Zealand in the seventy s and we lived in in Wanganui which is the town that where the river flows into the sea and all trading station built by European settlers. So for me. It's it's personally special. And then I learnt that one canoeing river have gained legal status as a as a human entity which means that it has the rights and duties and liabilities of a legal person the Wanganui river now a legal person or legal entity one of the first natural places in the world to be given this sort of legal standing accepting a river as illegal person presents. Many challenges to the way we think about the world and it presents challenges to documentary-maker how can a documentary portray the river itself as a character as a person as an entity? Where do you begin? Did you know that the river is a human being to us? We've always had signed from the mountain to the say I the river as May. So how do you tell a story whether whether river is the main the center? I'm not sure how to that practically you know. How do I connect with the river and and figure out why didn't want to say
