Because you know going through some of his his some of his games from last year compared to previous years. I didn't feel like there was a huge dropoff in his athleticism. It just seems like shots. Were falling for him because it seems like a lot of his offense is. He's very good at kind of middleton. He's good at taking a making shots when he's contested and obviously his release point is so high to it is and i think though before he was injured that season he's shooting forty nine percent from three or something like that so he's he's a marksman i think he's usually probably gonna land around thirty eight percent mark. Which again in the buck system is absolutely great if he can just fired off from there and if you can have even a little bit of burst just like you've been saying about everyone else if he can secondary create off of some of the drive in kicking the bucks. Do i think he's going to be able to add a lot to The buck system. Now like i said it is a little bit risky. Because if he's not able to really go. There's not really a great three guy that you're able to throw out there at the moment. But based on what he's able to do pre achilles injury. I like it a lot. Because i do think that he's going to be better from last year. I really couldn't find any functional reason why he was so poor. I know when you come back from a serious injury like achilles you probably second guess yourself a lot more you just never know one of that sort of things can happen again so i think after an off season of being able to get himself back into the right mindset fill out his body a little bit more you know..

It's really interesting to look at this season where when we started the season, I know Johannes had double doubles, but he went on that stretch of six straight games, where he didn't have one. And he had four double doubles early going in the season there, but we were talking about through the 1st 12 games, only four he recorded Attended 10 or more rebounds. Jeez, what am I trying to say? Here Through the first four of 12? He only had double digit rebounding four of those games. So you did wonder. Okay, What is the change here? And it felt like Chris Middleton was rebounding much better. We obviously know about Drew holidays, ability to do that as well. And maybe Brooke Lopez, you think, and then you looked at the numbers and you saw Chris is rebounding. This basically in line with where it was, ah, year ago, Drew Holiday is basically rebounding at the same rate that Eric Bledsoe was as a part of this offense and broke his widely and change that you step back and you looked at it and you realized It's Bobby Portis for the minutes that they're sharing together when it would be honest and Bobby is the four in the five or five in the four. It's Bobby Portis. That is, in all likelihood, taking the rebounding here. Now, in the last few games we've seen Chris continue to put forth some big rebounding performances, but That six game streak came to an end for Johannes. And now he has double digit rebounds in what five of his last seven games so It's really started to move back to through six or seven. Excuse me, so it's moved its start to move back to what we've seen from you honest in the last few years, and it's huge rebounding numbers. He's at 18 in two of his last four games that you're seeing 18 18 14 12 12 and you think back to early in the season. It was 789 we would routinely see from himself. It's all part of the it's going to take time view for this team that 20 games in is not going to give us an indication of where this team is headed. That's not me defending the team that's not need taking up for the team. It's just being realistic. Here. There was a lot of change 50% your roster is new. It's been tough to carve out any type of routine and consistency in such a bizarre season here, that it's going to take time and I keep bringing up the number of 30 that in a normal season, when you have a lot of change, you usually point to about 30 games in and that's where you say 25 to 30 games. That's where you start to get a sense of who your team is. It's gonna be well past that just because of how bizarre this whole season is, so it's gonna take time. Has action and I just said, I don't think we're gonna point back to the Trailblazers game and say this was the turning point of the season. I'm not ruling out more performances like we saw over the weekend but again No, it's discouraging, but it's also crazy to think that the Bucks would be immune to it that literally every single team is going through this this season in the box, for the most part, have not. They've been on the other end of that so I don't think that it's just magically going to disappear. I want to be shocked if there's more frustrating games like that, If there's more games that don't go the bucks way where it looks ugly on the defensive end, But then you see some of the things that they're doing and the reason why is They're trying some new things, And it's going to take time for these players to really get accustomed to that, because so much of defense is reactionary and for guys like Drew holiday That means breaking a lot of habits and we've heard Drew holiday numerous times already said he doesn't like, help defense and you know if it looks like and be, trust me, I'm not stick with your guy. And this is how I like to. So you have to break a lot of old habits and that's gonna take time. And that's why I think The defense is going to get better. Is it going to be the top rated defense and you know one of the five best defenses in the league like we've seen the last two years? It's certainly not looking like that right? But it's it's gonna get better so Don't panic just yet. Things will start to take upward for this team again. Tomorrow you have Malcolm Brogdon and the Indiana Pacers and then you head out west for a lengthy road trip before returning home. For an eight game home stand. So I think we're gonna learn a lot about this team on this next upcoming road trip where the Pacers are a good defensive team that's at home, but a lot of good defense is you're going to see on that road trip, so we should have a lot more takeaways.
