WanNa make sure that our teachers are able to implement with fidelity in this new situation. Covert nineteenth situation. Although Kobe nineteen is new for the entire nation in the world. Good skills as a teacher. That's not new right. Want to say something about that. Stacy now you're correct. It's so important that we provide our teachers want to continue to grow with. They're doing and to build on what they've already you've got through college in you think. Okay I'm ready for this fulltime job and and then you jump into teaching like wow I have a whole new world to learn still Dr Moosa stayed with your experience with Dr Ken Robinson when he talked about those eight sees that teaches knee so specifically I just want to ask you about criticism that was wanted to seize that he had no prior to show. Stacey talked about the the whole concept of criticism as it relates to instruction in pedagogy. And it's one of those characteristics that I think that's internal things that is aligned with criticism is the ability to be able to take constructive feedback and grow from it and I think that you know if you have the maturity as a teacher to WanNa grow you want to self reflect the want to do in best interest a kid. Stacey I don't know how we fell on this one it. I've seen this in you and you hope everybody's feet to the fire but I've seen you working in compassion said light on what that would mean to you. I do think compassion is very important. I think it's one of the first things that you should think about when you're starting to build relationships whether it's with teachers or students it doesn't matter it. All functions the same kind of reflecting back on the criticism is you gotta be like a doctor. Milstein was saying you gotta be mature enough to hear and accept the criticism but I also think that you have to be good at giving criticism and that's where the compassion comes in if you can't do it in a kind manner and no I'm trying to. I'm trying to help you grow you and it's okay if you don't know these skills that you don't have these skills this to me just so important that we have that compassion so that we can help build and grow our leaders in our students as well and like I said I've seen you function in that all the while I remember looking at Man over here Dr Meals. Stay at some times where my composure was all over my face and I remember I remember being brought to this because you know as you know. I'm almost you know you could save written all over. We all walk out and we we go. We warn united breath. So composure is particularly I think Important when you're leading schools are leading a classroom. Reba for teachers. Things come up. I know teachers right now in this Kobe. Nineteen epidemic and principles. They're I mean they're paying with online instruction because all his new but if you look at a lot of of you get a lot of schools and a lot of teachers and principals at this time a lot of live like they really get it down pat and understand what they're doing so I was gonna say it hasn't teachers in my mind right now where a month ago. I could barely get them to use the technology in the classroom and they were just starting to just use it. Is Google classroom as a resource and now the teachers just running with it. And I'm just so proud of him and he's had a thousand questions but it's okay. I just keep answering every single wind because I see growth happening and yeah you're right. They're the leader of the classroom. And if they got it under control then appear to be than the students are. GonNa follow that suit. Based where do you think? Citizenship falls in our seas. They we just mentioned. That's a hard one looking at that one and I'm like I guess it's really just how you become a unity within whether it's your classroom or your leadership Dr Milstein was saying is hey when we leave here or the other. We're working together. We're in the end result is going to be the same whether we had the same views while we're heading in that direction were brings mom to my mind is Digital citizenship at this particular point is important for teachers are now aligned with students and there is there was always underlying issue with people while they're on campus in front of students and students have to be good citizens. Online teachers have to be good citizens. Online principles have to be good citizens online right and so we all have to work together. I look at that is the ability to just form a society where the urine face to face or online quick story in each goo that I live. I have looked at myself as the mayor of a small town in my school was the town. I was leading citizens and tried to lead by example. Because I wanted to be the type of citizen to display. I wanted my kid my students to be also my teacher to be so. I tried to lead by example so I think in leading by example as leader. That's what I tried to do. I don't know why I told. This story has a really good point. Because if you think about it. It's a hassle back to the previous. Three is especially the composure. When when you talk about leading being a principal's like being a mayor and you're leading people. You have to have that composure. That so they have that faith in you and that trust in you but also there's leaders who may not lead in the best way. They're more of a boss than a leader. And so I feel like the composure. Battle of The Brews Live from The Landmark In Glassboro

"The reason why we're here today is that we have a battle the bruise news and we've invited her kyle's invited us to be here and we also have the people from three threes eighty sand. Taco brewing company and ax narrow now and we're going to have a beer off. I guess what we're having more than one. I assume the battle of the beer's battle the beer so we're going to anybody. WHO's trying to beers out there. We're going to see which ones are favor one at two o'clock. I think we're GONNA it will cub cut the two o'clock. You know there's no hard times here not in fact. We're currently forty five minutes later than we thought we were wrong. Jersey time. It's a Sunday. What do you expect. It's a I think it's probably one of the last Sunday's before football so a before Labor Day yeah well. That's true. That's when you know Ostlund. Where most of us live we get our city back. We get our city back but that's okay doc kyle. This is a pretty interesting idea that you had here so tell me a little bit about marketing Americana and their affiliation with craft craft glass bro landmark been here forever. It's really went through a lot of changes since its inception but you know the crab craft beer scene really flew up probably ten years ago and I think that the concept here's all along with that we went from having hope nope twelve fear of domestic threats twenty total realize that there's a huge demand here and we expanded that to be forty draft beers and to have a strong focus towards the area what South Jersey Breweries Tristate Breweries Philadelphia's obviously twenty five minutes away feels local to me. US Asfaw lived there as well so very local but that's really been our been a big part of that. We are going to be a beer. I lace harmonies float around beard. You know we want you to have some beers control the food you know spirits. They have a place here as well but you know I think that the heart of what our concept is is it is about the beer. It's nice to see because one of the things that's happened in the craft beer landscape is that you guys were early adopters this obviously this is. How many years is this for the festival. This is the seventh year so there was kind of a whole here for a long time with people that would have craft beer and I guess with the Robo Abo- innovation that's happened here. There's been influx but you guys one of the early adopters and do a great job with it. I noticed that you have a good representation from all over the state in Philly here which is nice and you know they do have they do have some big name beards that you know that need to have which were not averse to. We are Bir see not script but it's nice to see somebody as big as you guys. It has such a force here in Gloucester County and surrounding area really adopt the craft and kyle. You have a great list of local beers share. A great tap list of WHO actually decides on which Beers on tap is that you have a committee. I'm not that involved in the beer selection here to give a lot of the credits Nikki Nado who is here today he was the one running around getting all this stuff organized for us he does most the selections dealing with the Reps and the local guys play into his taste buds so a lot of credit on that Mitzi great job nick so when you guys are when you start to craft beer one of the things that is a not an issue but is your servers and I know that I've been here a bunch of times your servers actually know how to describe era so as the director of operations that something you guys put in the plan for your for your locations Yep. It's executed properly. All of our staff has to go through a relatively relatively rigorous training all what we offer terms of not just food spirits opinion beer and being able to actually describe the different styles is pretty very important and being able to lead people in the right direction a lot of a lot of novice beer drinkers are looking for certain flavor and you have to be able to know the list we talk yeah. We talk about this all the time so key tell me what tastes like coors light and then direct them to the Water Fountain then but there is. There's something here for everybody. Craft Beers expanded to such a point nine Clark. Even we have an article coming up or would have been out already on non alcohol beer is that are really making a big splash thing. It's against my religion the not Alcohol Beers but what's Nice is I think the breweries all making something that can get the entry level here drinking and looking your tap. Lets you do have those as well for sure. I as I've gotten older. I've appreciated that Craft Beers evolved with my tastes now. I feel like he used to be. How crazy can we make the sphere top going to beat a drink Takao happy. Can we make it. I think a lot of that now is more. What can we make that people are going to drink a lot of lottery. You know six seven beers used. BP had six arrogant bastard. You wouldn't taste for weeks now now. There's there's enough craft beer out there that they're they're making products. That are fun to try. You can have a much of different things and enjoy your enjoy summer day Zoya Winter Day whatever it is and I appreciate that they're they're bringing it down a little bit but keeping the flavor there that's true I mean I like to see a lot of five five and a half's to have a lot of flavor that you can have five or six out and still mo the lawn in a straight line. It's not going to ruin your day. Hey No long sessional. Beers is the big the big new thing we're seeing a lot of cultures a lot of fully flavored. Ip as that are coming coming up forty five percent founders kind of broke the mold on that with all day. I Ta Nea Ri Billick Seven Breweries just off of that brand we see dogfish coming out with the same thing and all all the major brewers following in suit so just natural evolution. I guess to see ready was trying to make some stuff in fact one of our friends at Tom. Foley just has a low calorie one hundred Ed coury. Ida says that he just came out with and so as the market has evolved. There's not just ten breweries. You have to be able to to bring some frog consumers so I'll glassware beer festival. That's one of the reasons that we here as well so tell us a little bit about what's going on with this year. I know that you have a big qasis on Jersey beer yet this year. I think we're we're getting close to half of the total participants being from Jersey. I think a great weekend when you can do it is to go to a town. Check out the breweries that are there. They'll give you a backbone for your trip. Yes really give you can capture that into the the festival where you're like. Why a never gets a you know all these different places from your down to the tip of Cape May up to the up to the North Jersey side the validation kind of give a good representation while those monthly's emphasis sample what they have to offer. I think that's that's good. That's experienced driving towards is trying to grade their like that impossible. We'll road trip in a day yet and done a good job this year. You have a forty five plus breweries. I believe this year. They're coming last minute adults less well. That's that's the nature of the business and the Nice thing guys do too is it's a great area but tickets really reasonable so you had the VIP package that runs from twelve to five that gives you early initiative. That's one of fifty bucks. I mean that is that is a great price. Fifty dollars for a pours two was too. We're doing according to the ABC and that report is exactly two ounce. You have no more and you're you're able to come in an hour earlier to beat the crowds a little bit. I mean that's a great great. Price for forty bucks even income from one to five last four forty five and still be able to sample a bunch of beers. VIP ticket though that's the one absolutely that's a great deal and a lot of people not take my advice but I always say that he should probably start with the food exactly and they may not with a couple beers. You get the food because 'cause you whenever knows wants to eat. There's GonNa be lines there and get the food. Go the way of good base you know cruise the rest of the day. It's all about the base rallied the beating up Tom Claver Day of an article about eight things to do when you're preparing for a beer festival and that was one of them in that was definitely one of them and there's a bunch more. You can get that on the site. Sap or seen dot com but I feel like the people that come in here that power drink for the first twenty minutes to thirty minutes running around. I think they're day gets shorter. Oh yes I think they're ruining the ruined. All the other beers ability. My mind wasted what he just says a Patriot beer festivals right down the ones you want to try after about ten of Milstar taste better yeah especially with all these people are bringing these gigantic cop toward Beers speaking of yours. WE WANNA try coming up to the stage roses Caraba Callahan of Taco brewing company. Everybody here knows him fund bobby and he brought a some beers here today.

"My daughter to be shying from the Bank and to be dead and slumped and die in front of me. Because I watched her eyes rolling the back of her head and pray. Nobody has ever experienced. Paulie? We are. We're angered there's nothing that's going to bring our daughter back. And there's there's there's nothing that we want more than Justice syrup. Sorry. You had to deal with them. Oh. And I'm sorry to sister sitting next door. Thank you for praying that nobody else ever has to go through that. But I'm sorry that you did. I hope you find some sort of solace in the fact that the community was so outraged by the loss of your daughter that the city of Phoenix and the community at large rallied around your daughter to find the killer. Yeah. You know, we heard from Phoenix police this morning. And the thing that jumped out to me most Bruce ways, whether it was mayor Gaito, whether it was chief Williams, whether it was sergeant Lewis, they all just said it was the community came forward with tips either on silent witness to Phoenix PD the residents who gave over the surveillance video outside of their home that allowed police to find out the make the model of the. A truck. Sketching suspect and somebody somebody knew something when we talked to Colonel Frank Milstar director of DPS moments after that news conference. Here's a little what he had to say about all that the community step forward and help them solve this case. Very expeditiously. We so often count on the is in ears of our community to help us through these problems. And somebody obviously knew who this young man was they knew the vehicle something popped out, and obviously because of the nature of the crime when you leave a ballistic evidence behind they included the alcohol, tobacco and firearms in the process. So they either you shell casings or the use the projectiles himself to to do scientific analysis on that. And then when they discovered the weapon of his very easy for them to to linked together. That's Colonel Frank mills said the head of Arizona deep ES talking about in reacting as well he did to law enforcement catching this suspected murderer within a couple of days, which which again, we can be thankful for can. I you. What else reminded me of while we all rightfully understandably. Justifiably are outraged at the idea of a ten year old little girl being murdered sitting in the backseat of mommy, daddy's car. And that people came forward and people brought information people said, you know, I think I recognize that truck or people say, I think it might be this guy. We have a lot of crimes. That maybe don't involve a ten year old girl but involve a thirty five year old guy. And all I would say is the the loss in the tragedies to those families are similar like that that sense of senseless loss, I get that a ten year old girl is unique in that. But think about how the community gets together to get rid of these bad guys to say, this is not somebody. We went in our society. There's a lesson to be learned for a variety of other crimes out there as well and other criminals, and you know, there are lessons to be learned from this senseless house act. Well, you know, I drive from Gilbert every day to sixteenth street in northern where the station is located depending on any given day. Bruce, it's between forty five minutes an hour. And I see a lot on the freeway. I probably do a lot on the freeway. Unintentionally cut somebody off I didn't see them in my mirror, and and I go over and on the horn. And usually I give the hand up like sorry. Sorry. Sorry, kind of thing because it's my bad. I'm not trying to do it on purpose. Trying to be a jerk. But yeah, at the end of the day, I probably was at that sense. And you gotta have patience. I mean, nobody wakes up in the morning thinking, they're not going to make it to the destination. They're going to because they made some stupid boneheaded mistake on the freeway. Like, I'm sure we'll done at some point in time. And then you just did it to the wrong person. Because in this case the guy that was arrested twenty year old Joshua Gonzales has an extensive history of violence with the Phoenix police department now they didn't give us his record. So to speak. Does that like, yeah. You know, what we know this guy that are first time. And if you cut me off or you cut him off, you can have very distinct different outcomes, you never know it may be an accident. But you never know so trying to drive more aware of your surroundings and so on and so forth. But when we talk to Colonel Frank mill set about this because it has happened to all of us when you cut off the wrong person. And you find that you're in jeopardy because they're following you. What do you do? Okay. Now. What first thing I tell you. I think has happened to all of us. We've inadvertently cut somebody off and really irritated somebody. You know, the first thing is just to wave and look at them or say, you know, sorry. But if that doesn't work, and they continue I would say to ignore them change lanes exit the road, you're on find a populated place to go if they continue to follow you. And that's the thing. That's what I've. Done because I been in situations where yeah, I'm supposed to go down like two more exits. And then get off the freeway. I'll do something that I didn't intend to do. Follow me. Okay. And then I'll make. Are they following point? And then okay, good. I'm in the Clare. But if they do continue to follow you if you can drive to the the local police station, if they're close by GPS or call nine one hundred and when we also spoke with Colonel Frank mill said when you call nine one one, and you tell them about your situation, they're going to try to get troopers or the local police department to fixate on your to find you and they'll stay on the phone with you at times when when those officers are getting closer, they may tell you to put on your four ways put on your three blinkers your house flashers so that they can identify you are in the group and they'll look for the license plate. Now, if if it's just aggressive driving, and they can't locate the person, well, we all know how that goes. But if there's been some sort of crime, then, you know, obviously, take it in this place. Somebody brandishes a weapon. Yeah. Somebody waves a gun. That's a crime. You know are. RTD partners over at ABC fifteen have this graphic up on one of their web stories right now, and we have had a total of seven known incidents of road rage. That of a Kurd. And you look at them, and I guess for me in. It's era Zona and I love Arizona. I choose to live here. This is my home. But I also know that a lot of people are armed around here are young. And so when I am driving aggressive are cut somebody off or something happens. I really try not to engage because you just don't know. And frankly, you know, what it's not worth it. It is not worth it. He I do find it interesting. And and there's a pile whole psychology behind this. There is a an entire study that guys with white lab coats have done about what is it that have relatively rational normal human being gets behind the wheel of a car truck as Huby somebody cuts them off, and they turned into the road warrior, my husband, and I actually having a conversation about this last weekend because we were getting on the sixty in the way, people were driving was just crazy. Okay. Stream Lee aggressive. It wasn't like cutting people off, but it was like riding up on someone's bumper going into the next lane zooming past them getting in front of them hopping over another lane, and I'm like, where's the fire and what is going on? And there was a situation turned into the Daytona five hundred somebody was trying to merge on from the sixty and the car gun did. So wouldn't let being a jerk, and I kind of have this theory of people don't want to be beat on the freeway. You're not going to get to the exit. Mourner? You're not gonna win they become so competitive, and it's like, what's the point? And then people like raising they cut you off. And then you you find yourself, you know, behind the same stoplight at Chandler boulevard. And you're going. Farther ahead than you. Just can't be beat. You can't lose, and it becomes a competition will, and I know I can wish for won't work when you drive home today in Friday rush hour, traffic patient, somebody cuts you off somebody doesn't use their blinkers. Somebody races ahead whatever they do. Right. Fitted before you react think about Bill think about a ten year old girl about a dad telling you how he held his daughter in his arms and watched her die for my daughter to.
