"Been It's real quick. I noticed. I was told. I'm sorry. I mean, we noticed that the American family field sign along I 94 was changed a couple of days ago. And yesterday I was told the what had been the Miller Park Sign on the clock tower? No, there's that clock tower on the third base side. Off the stadium. I was at Miller Park, the stadium that local has now changed and then last night. Driving home from the station last night, the primary Marquis The Miller Park Sign Center Front V logo, the marquee sign that was not illuminated last night. Usually there's spotlights on it. That was not the case last night, which tells me that I mean, maybe weather permitting. We are within a couple of days, if not sooner than Getting that primary sign changed out and let me just say this. They nailed it. I thought they nailed it when they first showed us the logo. You know my less than a year ago. Now, maybe it's a year ago. Look good. You know what I know in a in an email file that logo that sits up there right now. Nailed it. The color scheme. The lettering, the silhouette. It looks like that sign has been up there forever. It looks like it's been American family Field and Penfield the entire time. Think they nailed it. I think it's great job well done and keep an eye out. Every time you drive past something else changes, and it looks like that primary marquee sign will be the next one based on what was not lit up. Last night. Okay, 11 o'clock hour on a Friday. I'd say we lighten the mood, but I don't know We've been overly heavy over the 1st 2.5 hours, but Swearing is a sign of intelligence Jordan. "I'm going to be interested to get your feeling on the proposal that nobody has yet oven official capacity fessed up to, but I think there's it's got some legs and and I think you're going to see something along the lines of a MLB postseason bubble. Come across. Ah, interesting. You see, Because I wrote a long, long piece about using San Diego L A and San Francisco in Anaheim, four parts there and then people say the Midwest, You can use Milwaukee with a roof in Miller Park and used Wrigley Field and such park. But that's too many parks. Marty. I mean, you need to do something. Just naming those impossible, huh? Okay, and either one that the only one that makes sense to me is a West Coast hub because you have no problem with rain. You have no weather problems at all. You're gonna have some problems. Weather wise, if you make one of your hub Chicago or even in New York because you'll have Yankee Stadium and you'll have Ah, Citi Field where the match play, but they have to go with the bubble. The idea worked with the UFC and Dana White, who runs the USC, right basketballs done a nice job, maybe on a tremendous job. But here the commissioner, you know he makes $11 million. Baseball had plenty of Timeto war game. This scenario. They should've figured this out by now. I mean, it takes them six weeks to move a pawn on a chessboard. I interrupt you for how do you know they haven't? They just haven't announced it. How do you know that? I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I mean, not that I think things happen up there. New York didn't make you scratch your head sometimes, but I think they probably done that. We'll talk more about in a moment. Hey, Lucy. How can you tell if a Buckeyes lucky Oh, that's easy. "And pirates coming up this afternoon from a Miller Park as the Brewers attempt to take the first three in this four game, Siri's against their NL central rival Brandon Woodruff is on the mound today. This is going to be the last time you see would drift for a little while after the game, he is expected to be placed on the paternity list. Ah, and his wife is expected to give birth at some point in the relatively near future. I believe they're going to induce. I think I saw him say that somewhere and he will miss in all likelihood, one start. And then be back with the team. Right now. Everything is up in the air in terms of starting pitchers. The Brewers have not listed starting pitchers for tomorrow against the Pirates. Tuesday against the Tigers and Wednesday against the Tigers. There is a possibility that Eric Lower could be called back up from the alternate training site in Appleton and start that game tomorrow. He was scheduled to throw in Appleton tomorrow, so he could be the starter. Or they could go with the bullpen game or do something else. But we will just have to. Ah, wait and see. But right now beyond today's Brandon Woodruff start there is there's nothing scheduled for starting pitchers, and it's a combination of Woodruff stepping away for for his wife giving birth. He also had the doubleheader against Cincinnati. So there's a There's a lot of moving parts that has resulted In them. I wouldn't say scrambling to find pictures, but just working to see what's going to make the most sense. Once they get through this Siri's against Detroit that ends on Wednesday, all of a sudden That this isn't going to be an issue anymore. They're going have a lot of off days. Toe work with they're going to have three straight Thursdays off September 3rd, 10th and 17th. They're also going to have to. Ah, They're going Monday off in September as well on September 7th so at least one ofthe day each of the first three weeks of September and then they will play a full week's worth of games. The final week of September final. We could play in September that week of Sunday, September 20th and on when they will go on the road to wrap up the right your season as Faras the lineup for today's game, Luisa Arias is going Tio lead things off. He plays at third base, but the third straight game. He's been the leadoff guy and he's done a nice job there. Maybe the Brewers have found their leadoff hitter. He? He makes contact. He's a little bit of a younger guy. Sometimes Craig counsel is not quite as willing to put younger guys into that leadoff spot. But he's been there and it's been working. I've had I had people on this show and I'm Brewer's extra innings have certainly been calling for that, And so far it's working so Arrius will lead things off third base batting second, Christian Janki is in left field. Jed Jerko is getting the start today at first base. Batting third, batting fourth. Ryan Braun. He's the D H testing here is at second base. Batting fifth, buying six. Right fitter Mark Mathias. Orlando Arcia is the shortstop. Batting seventh Been Gamble gets to start in center field today, batting eighth, and Jacob Nottingham is catching batting at ninth. So no Avisail Garcia in the lineup today. Brewers are facing a left hander and Steven Brault brought his own one with a 4.80 IARA again. Brandon Woodruff is going for the crew, the righthander entering the contest with a two and to record and a 3.19 e R, right, hope you stick with us following the game as we will have a brewer's ex turnings. We'll see if we're going to be talking. About the Brewers securing a Siri's win against the Pirates. We've got radio network coverage coming your way in about five minutes. "But every single day that baseball's away it just goes further and further away from people's minds it is just so disappointing forty eight game season seventy six game season I see this proposal ESPN dot com which need to know about the weekly baseball seventy six games twenty twenty season whatever they come up with will not be like the baseball season that you and I know it's not going to be the husky two game season that we know the grind of the season the ebb and flow looking at the schedule being able to pick out games you want to go to Eric and I looking at the businessman's special on out on Thursday to see the white Sox four one oh five start we're going on the weekends when we get an opportunity to go it is not the same it it it it just is amazing that what however it comes about it won't feel the same because we won't call you guaranteed rate or Miller Park or Wrigley Field to see the games will be able to go there it'll be in Arizona will be some other place will be a Florida someplace like that if they want you to feel the same but even with the kind of baseball that they're trying to propose that they're trying to put out there both sides took a complete agreement some thoughts from Jesse Rogers early on while in solving the offer for major league baseball Tony Clark and rob Manfred should be they also be fired after this it's just starting it really is it's just amazing I mean in in in a different world both sides what at the end of this year you do have people losing their jobs at the top I mean if we could do it you have a new commissioner and you have a new our executive officer at the at the union right at the top Tony Clark and rob Manfred I mean there's there's enough blame to go around but you know we'll see what that what the FRD is after the fact you guys sent there not any work if they're not any closer than they were a week ago this latest offers its its like throwing him a bone there's a few things there but it's less money up front a little bit more money if the playoffs are played so okay and the the no draft pick compensation it's a little bit a little bit of indicted to this coming off season that's a little scary but in general it doesn't move the Polly I asked us somebody that in the know what the union you know what does this even get as close to a first down he said not even close I'm just talk about a first down or touchdown he's in agreement not even close to a first down so you know it they're just they're talking around the edges guys now again that doesn't mean there won't be baseball as we know he can unilaterally decide this thing but but as I talk to someone else about it if that happens if you set your plane fifty you know too bad no more talk you played fifty Q. the Benny hill music is that the response I got is I don't know how the players are gonna react to that wow I mean that's wrong commenter from Jesse talk about just trying to place everybody because you know it's it's so disheartening baseball itself has been behind the times I've talked about that so many times in the show where they need to be able to be more modern they need to be able to create the opportunity for to bring more people into the tent baseball's not just for baby boomers and Gen x.'ers you need to be able to grow the sport and when it's out of the view of the average fan in which we have so many things to do now as far as technology now being with family going out all these things baseball trying to figure out the forty eight or seventy six games is just

"News the economic impact Miller park as head of the area and the state really in the past twenty years how do we quantify how big a deal this is well I think the numbers speak for how big a value this is two and a half billion in total economic output and I would call these but four dollars but for Miller park is economic impact would not a core occur almost two thousand jobs in one point two billion in personal earnings so that's kind of the business side and and it shows the impact at Miller park had over the last nineteen years so let's dive into this a little bit you talk about jobs you talk about real money coming into the area what does that look like what sort of jobs what sort of money is spent what happens because Miller park is here sure it works like this you get you get a cubs fan that comes up here that spend the night in a hotel goes out for dinner and spend that money in the local community that is kind of rolled up into the expenditures that occur outside the ballpark that add up to part of that two and a half billion the other part of this interestingly enough would be for example that eight million and tax revenue that the state collects from players like Christine yellowish as well as folks like Carlos Beltran who would come in from outside so their tax by the state of Wisconsin on their income and that's part of the economic impact that we see you know you let into a great point because this is not just Milwaukee this is not even just southeast Wisconsin it's a big deal here but this is a state wide deal it it is in interestingly enough the brewers draw more of their attendance from outside their metro area than any other team and when you think about it it makes sense because we're one of the smallest markets to have a team so these really are the Wisconsin brewers when you look at the economics behind the study you know I'm amazed him one of the stance that came out today was just how great attendances at Miller park where the smallest market in Major League Baseball but we don't hear baseball like with the smallest market no we don't it in again our attendance approaching three million put us in the top ten in I would submit not only on an attendance basis but just on a marquee basis that the brewers are more important in Milwaukee than the Dodgers are to LA or the Yankees are New York you know we all knew that county stadium needed to be taken care of it was falling apart it wasn't a good shape but I think what people didn't realize Tim was how re energize the baseball base will become in Wisconsin when this happened and attendance from the last year at county stadium to the first year at Miller park really bear that out it does then we've come a long way since four fifty four AM on October sixth nineteen ninety five when this finally passed the the Senate after two failed the towns in you think about the impact of this the fans that have been drawn to this the redevelopment of of of the Menomonee valley in in just the benefits that we all enjoy it from being major league and I think it was a smart decision at the time and I think it's proven out economically to be one I Tim this stadium tax will sunset some sometime in the next few months or sometime this year it looks like is sun setting that tax a good idea I know it's the law but what will that mean is that a good thing but I think it is a good thing and that's one of the drivers for producing this study was the fact that the tax was going to sunset and too often when we set up taxes we say they're gonna sunset they don't and so I think it's important that this tacky sunsets the brewers have another ten years left on their lease and at some point in the future I'll probably have to be a discussion about a public private partnership to extend that leads into the future but we can all hold on to the fact that this tax was set up to deliver a new park it did that in it's gonna sunset well the sun setting of the tax hurt the brewers economically financially no I don't think it it will I think what's happened here is that that money has been put away to pay off the bonds and take care of the maintenance of the park it was designed to do that through the brewer through the lease that the brewers house again that won't be forever but it has been a good partnership to this point Tim she he the president of the metropolitan Milwaukee association of commerce live at spring training up next.

"Brewers weekly on WTMJ. weekly does continue we are live at Miller park I actually think this is the first time I've ever done this show from up north park I've done the show for the better part of the last four years I don't think we've ever done this show at Miller park but they're a three o'clock games are not common especially on a week days here at here in Milwaukee just the three o'clock game occasionally you get a three o'clock Saturday game because of national TV are sometimes a playoff game at three o'clock but a week day three o'clock game is not something that happens very often I'm not totally sure why they had the three o'clock game they're meant to ask somebody about that today but I didn't four one four seven nine nine one six twenty is the accurate mortgage talking Declan let's go to Doug compared to a dog you're on the V. T. object good evening map. yeah we're just almost all we were we were there all week. very interesting game first of all I would root for the cubs I want to go for the division and then not as things come down the line I would pick up the phone and I for the card out of the seven. hold comment on the games this week I thought it was interesting that would withdraw started they had over the eight position even though the thought is only going to bat use only gonna pitch to learning that was interesting but last night I thought was really interesting listen to break also after the. well we didn't have much offense tonight yeah he had Braun and Jane on the bench and I thought that was unusual we had only eleven games left now you were saying that he might have a bad day or something so that might be part of that but otherwise I would think you want all your best hitters in there yeah. AS one available really yesterday's start they were both banged up so that that's why I mean it it's an injury stuff that they've got to manage those guys in this team isn't as the walking wounded right now and he's doing as best as they can and if you can just pencil under a healthy Ryan Braun a pencil and a healthy Lorenzo Cain every single day he would do it but when when that back tightens up on Braun when that he goes a little Baki on on Kane now it's an ankle with Kane you're not gonna put those guys in or they may hurt themselves a little bit more. yeah I I know it's a. also. there were some. are you doing the magic that I don't know. really wild wood with the last nine games here yeah absolutely appreciate the phone call dog he's he's managing the heck out of this team right now what he doesn't have and then what he does have in the extra roster spots and being able to utilize them it's up I think it's a it's a work of art right now on what he is doing to help this team win games sell it looks at the end of the day players are performing I've I always think that coaches managers whoever might be get too much credit when they're winning and not enough credit or you know too much credit E. I. in either direction. players are going out and doing their job but as much credit as you can give to a manager for setting things up in baseball is a sport where the manager can impact the game the most I. I think it's just like I said it's a it's a work of art for me right now with what he is doing let's go to a dentist in greenfield hygienist your W. T. M. J. hi. I had a question does what about the plays at first be subtle strikeouts last name the through the first phase for the character crap street three and he was saying that perfect thank are you the one today during a okay there was a throttle punished I don't why are a wild pitch and the run could advance I wonder why the runner could you can't change yesterday Trent Grissom kicked the ball in the moment he kicked the ball today hi all right. a social life play anyway okay if you kick the ball it impacts the play it's a it's a dead play now the home plate umpire yesterday did not see the kicked ball that's why he let the place go so once the umpires huddled I think it was the second base umpire who saw what happened and he was able to rule the play dead at that point okay they get so so out of it thank you yeah no problem what people are asking about that yesterday I've never seen that I have never ever ever seen that what happened yesterday in that play a and I was everybody in the press box was like what the heck is going on in the first few replace the Fox Sports was content yesterday didn't show the kick ball I don't think it was until after they came back from a commercial break that they actually have the kick ball into those the right call it it may cost the brewers a win and I hate saying it but it was the right call let's grab one more phone call before we take a break we'll go to see PM a walkie Hey CPR WTMJ. then I'll go and get. wondering if we're at the point of having a defense a replacement for testing here and the nine like a highball game because I love the bass back but I don't love the errors are back. yeah I don't think I don't think in a tight ball game I think in a one run game maybe but I looked at the worst case scenario would be it being a tie ballgame or being a one run game you end up losing the lead and all of a sudden it's the twelfth inning you've got a runner on its second and you know insert name of player here is coming up in casting here spot I understand the frustration with his fielding his his bat is always going to outweigh his glove you're gonna win more games because of his bat then you're gonna lose because of your glove but there is still a chance that you're you're gonna lose a game because it was love at some point yeah I was just remembering back to Ron's rookie year when he was playing third for some reason an account please come in about the replacement at the game did go to actors we have counsel of the rock so I understand but I think just I think like a wild card game or or you know something like that where the series on the line for a buy one I feel much more confident with standard burger parade that that to that stuff yeah I I think that's fair and I think that would happen if if Europe by one it's the eighth and ninth inning Anna and Josh haters but I mean when you're high leverage guys are pitching yeah and you've got an opportunity to substitute out at second base I think that might happen that that's fair that makes sense for a lot of reasons we see been gamble come in a lot now in left field for Ryan Braun you have this that's going to happen so I I don't I would not remove tested here from a tie game but I would certainly consider removing him from a game that you've got a one run lead especially when you've got your bullpen set up if you got some your high leverage guys coming at all right we will get some of these text messages I promise there's a bunch coming in we'll get to of coming up and that will go deep in just a moment as well it's proof weekly under U. T. M. J.. hours weekly coming up on WTMJ whatever I'd throw around the football with my grandson the tingling in pain in my wrists hit me from keeping up with I consider getting carpal tunnel surgery but I learned that I'd be on the sidelines for a month Jim learned about.

"With math Polly on WTMJ save on that one that was in the beginning is over so we strive they don't score one nothing the brewers fall to the Rangers walking back into brewers extremes here on WTMJ we're live at Miller park where some youngsters are running the bases right now looks like they're still pretty good line for that and there's actually a second game out here I guess the legion game is going to be held here at Miller park in just awhile so the the Miller park staff for putting in it quite to the extended day today with everything going on you want to join us on the program you can do so by calling or texting into backing that mortgage talking tax line for one four seven nine nine one six twenty that's four one four seven nine nine a one is six twenty or you can find me on Twitter and tweet at me at Matt Polly on air MA T. D. P. A. U. L. E. Y. on air Jordan Lyles really good again today it kind of gets lost in the fact that the brewers lost this game but Lyles was just fantastic seven innings of one run on three hits nine strikeouts for walks I you takes the loss it's certainly a tough luck loss when you look at his numbers since rejoining the brewers they're pretty spectacular so far this is first Lawson to rejoin the team please two one one with a one point five nine ERA in three games he's thrown seventeen innings he's given up five runs the return on just eight hits and he has a fourteen strikeouts to go along with eight walks he was really really good today and it's a it's a good thing that this brewers team was it was able to go out and acquire him get him back because he's been a big part of what they've got going to fax Scott tweets in a question and it's a really interesting question I spent the commercial break thinking through it and I really don't think I have an answer at this point in time and I should have an answer to my job to have answers but I don't have an answer Scott asked the question if the wild card game was tomorrow who do you want taking the ball now with the assumption of the wild card game is actually tomorrow that would assume the brain would refer still injured if wonder if it's healthy he's the guy that I'm thrown but if we're if we're going with the assumption that it like it in this hypothetical situation with it being tomorrow Brentwood refer still on the injured list and not available you look at the four guys who were in the rotation right now and I'm very comfortable with what all four of them are doing clearly Jordan losses been really good statistically he's probably been the best starter for the brewers over the course of the past three weeks or so but she Sanderson continues to go out and give good performances he's given up one or two run seemingly every single time out chase doesn't go deep in the games generally that's the only issue that you have with him but they don't need him to go deep into games he's been Tumwater court had a column about his impact in the journal Sentinel J. S. online it was a it was very good in and it was spot on because the Anderson has been a big big part of what they've been able to do are you majoring Hauser who is been good it was very good yesterday he's probably guy that when I make you through that decision going through the decision making process at such say I probably he's a rookie so he probably want to be my guy and then G. opens hours a and if if the if the game is actually tomorrow kind of going back to what I was saying about Brandon Woodruff I probably wouldn't Sergio Gonzales because right now they're still kind of worried about his links and they're being very careful with them just to make sure that he doesn't get injured but if we're having this conversation going into October and he's fully healthy and he's put together couple strong months I think G. O. would be my guy again with the assumption that would refuse on the injured list after that would probably be Jordan Lyle's maybe events it's tough to pull out the front Anderson so it's I don't have an answer for Scott I I should have an answer I don't but it's a very interesting question because of really the state of starting pitching right now for the brewers I think is is south there's gonna be people out there who are are still upset that you don't have that you know quote unquote ace that guy who's going to go out and you know give you is seven eight innings every single time out given up one or two rounds that that guy just doesn't exist on the staff but that doesn't mean that they don't have good starting pitching and we saw a heck of a start today from Lyle's and brewer just happen to run into a guy that was really good at Mike minor I continue to sit here and just wonder how in the world to the to the Rangers not make a move involving Mike minor if you remember the Rangers actually pushed him back a day his spot in the rotation was coming up right there around July thirty first and they pushed him back a day with the idea that they might be able to work out a trade for him and they didn't want to pitch Tina at that moment a and if they didn't work out a trade for me that they were so motivated to trade him they pushed back a start and they still couldn't get a deal done and it's easy to say well that's just the maybe some ineptitude on behalf of the range as I would say no I would say what that is is the Rangers understanding what the market is for starting pitching and the rest of baseball kind of blocking at that price and that goes back to our conversation about why the brewers did what they did or maybe didn't do what they didn't do at the deadline and talked about a lot of this is not meant to be any disrespect towards drew Pomeranz your number three prospect in the organization who is major league ready Emory zero do von any catcher Pomerantz like you know that I think it past two years your number three prospect in the organization is major league ready is going to get you you know at a starting pitcher who can really go out there and take the ball every fifth day I don't know if that's good up to get Mike minor with what he's been doing but it just that that wasn't happening this year the the way the market went you were getting through Pomerantz for for Mauricio do bond and obviously the birds are very hopeful that Pomerance is going to be able to big be a big part of what could potentially turn into a playoff run four one four seven nine nine one six twenty four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage talking tax line you can also a tweet at me find me on Twitter at Matt Polly on air in AT T. "Back to Miller park in Milwaukee. The reds are winter over the brewers tonight in the first of this four-game series. David bells. Gotta be pretty happy with the way things went tonight. Good mix of offense and pitching one this one for the reds the evening. Let's hear what he has to say about it. Today off until all get good start adenoid ace Tanner's really stepped up this year, especially these last couple of games. No, he probably wanted to go longer. You talk to you, but had a nice lead and was just on everything. Yeah. Right from right from the first inning, he he was locked in. It was come right after their headers. I think it was an extension of how he finished his last game, and it was really good to see. I do think after his. Hundred fifteen sixteen last time out. We we both agreed. He always wants to stay in, but he got it because. I think after Boston now and then he gave us everything today. One. Within what two Jared? Did a great job for two innings. A lot of good defensive plays tonight to really apply at their base of double plays. Jared medical played Dr teacher had again base. So all ticket game all. Reds, one of the final score seven to one over the brewers tonight in Milwaukee, we have the highlights will preview what's to come in the second game.

"Always love that. It is a beautiful day on this Tuesday at eight fifty three on WGM seventy one degrees, I can't wait to get outside, so you've seen McCartney you haven't seen you to have. You know, that's actually on my list of bands that I have to see. Trying to summer fest, twenty twenty. Never played summer fest. I don't think I doubt it. But I don't know. I talk about summer fest. We take it for granted. I've seen more music summer fest, and that venue than any other place ever. Even the alpine Bali or, or the, the old Bradley center. I've seen so many great acts going back to the seventies, there, the list is incredible. Think about all that all that history uniform today. It's starting to feel a little bit like summer and the port of Milwaukee starting to heat up to the first cruise ship of the season is gonna dock this morning in Milwaukee, too. Big boats. See several hundred guests in the city, they're going to stay overnight port director Adams to your guy, more and more walking. We're going to see those overnight stays where cruise passengers before, or after they get in into the mock you off the ship will stay at our hotels. Go to restaurants and really get to experience our community. It's called the Pearl myth. It's arriving Milwaukee this morning should be there. Now, actually. It's one of about eleven cruise ships that'll that'll dock here now it's big. But it's not like one of those ones. Aren't eight thousand people on this thing? This is Great Lakes, still decent size boat. So if you're having this boats, ship cruise ship, where's the first place, you go and get some more great question where you go? You got to travel, that's the kind of late fun. I wonder it depends on where you're coming from some folks bet with checkout Harley right away. Yeah, that's right. Around venues, you wanna see Miller park even might go to a game. I don't know. How do you know how long they stay in town about a night? I'll just one. It's kind of like the ocean liners you stay in port know, twenty four hours at the most, there's, there's great scenery here. Lots of great tourist spots. Great restaurants. Imagine. They just kinda mix it up. Have you ever done any of the locks around the Great Lakes, anything? I mean, that'd be interesting thing, though my daughter. What she went to state university of New York in, in Brock port. New York small city. Right in our backyard was the was the place where the ships, go was allowed a cool or it was amazing seize massive shifts, right? In your backyard. I'm talking about one hundred feet from your house. Yes, she had that, right? Going on right there. You don't think about that. But all those all those ships have to make that trip and then they get here. I love the fact that we're doing this Adam as you said is a friend of mine. I know his family very well. They are trying to ramp this up, and there's great places you can visit like Green Bay our side, Milwaukee Chicago, there's a lot to do all those cities. Why not? It doesn't have the, the warm weather like you wouldn't get in the Caribbean. But at this point of the year, the weather's not bad. It's a little pricey, too. Little. Little little price. Good things cost money. Open pocket book. All right. So update on this story. Moussa's moon shot that hit that ramp for somebody's getting a car today, though. Stock is at the ball off the four and right-center.

"Decks line. We're live at Miller park. Magic council met with the media downstairs just a little while ago. He opened up his thoughts talking about the performance of starting pitchers. Davies the third inning. You did a great job. To lead off hits swinging Bont Josh bell the plane fell behind him three one, and then he came back and got the sack fly and, and go with one run that just limited the damage and that's just about, you know, keep making inches and he got making pitches. Got himself. One, one, Ron, we, we come back and tie it right away. Through two zero two nice job two zero. So I thought he was a little, you know, his command wasn't, you know, he's going to miss it on the edges. A little bit early in the game fell behind some hitters fourth and fifth. He started to get a going actually. Robert pointed out to walk down that he's still thirty. Changeups was wasn't so that. He was going to that lot. Yeah. I think I mean there's a lot of featured a lot of hitters in that lineup. So you're going to rely on that. Anytime. Go the good change of having left handed hitting lineup. You're gonna you're gonna see things like that. The team of nine loss today and they jog what counts this series of chases started early series. It's look that's just good offense. I think, and that's something we want to do every day. We've done a wonderful job of days one and two of the series. Just tough at bats is really the first three innings were almost a carbon copy of yesterday. We're forcing star to throw a lot of pitches. We're already twice through the order with, with twenty three innings just a lot of good at bats lot of deep counts. Like you said, that's, that's good offense we I think we stranded, a bunch of runners today. But that's often she wanted to get runners on base, and see what happens. We'll get one to fall or going to blast and put a big number of their allows ninety two that's an incredible amount of which is that I think the third or second thing started off of the ten strike attempted strike down. I mean yeah but in a second second inning. Yeah. We made them work really hard in the second inning. And to his credit, you know through ninety pitches and three innings. The only game with three runs. He he actually. Did a nice job getting out of the third and the second with eliminating some damage. But. It's a good formula. Look, you're getting their vote. We've gotten a bullpen in the fourth two games in a row. That's that's good. That's a good one app success. And it's about deepened bats. It's about laying off balls in the dirt getting getting council three to even even the strikeout attempts at bat, just a bunch of bets going back to that. Everyone.

"Again at Miller park eleven to San Diego rolled early against Atlanta and the Mets of the one nothing shutout of Cincinnati. Syndergaard homerun and complete game for the Mets striking out to end the game. Caught looking on a pitch that looked like the old Tom glavin strike zone. We're about six inches outside. But the catcher was set up there. He got the call. He was in a groove and the Mets win it by score of one to nothing tomorrow. Plenty of action in the world of sports as far as on the playoff, hardwood bucks. And Celtics from being town, Boston minus two to twenty years ago. I'm most likely going to sit out game three I'm gonna look for this series to go back to Milwaukee tied at two. So I'm going to be looking to play whoever loses gave I can make a good case for either team. My initial thought was to look at Boston in this game playing at home at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if Milwaukee wind, but I I would be more surprised if this series goes back to Milwaukee three one then it would be too. But in order to get the three to one I want to wait and see who win takes two to one lead, very go. I'm going to be on Boston tomorrow. Take a shot. There took a shot on Philly tonight. And I'll take a shot on Portland as well line at open at four and a half down to four. I know the nuggets got one in San Antonio. But they're just a much better team in the mile high city, and there's just something about that backward. Lillard and McCullum that made me feel comfortable, especially in Portland. So I'll take a shot on the blazers. They're I played Portland to win the series. So I got. The win that I needed out of them on the road. If I were going to play the game tomorrow, I would look to play Portland, but don't like laying that big of a number of for teams that are I won't say they're evenly matched. I think Portland is the better team. But I'm not a big believer in the zigzag theory. Which would have you now playing on Denver after Portland was the side in game two, but I'm gonna wait again. And see if I wanna make a play in game in game four I might end up playing Denver in game. Four of Portland is up to two one on the icy islanders trying to stave off elimination. They trailed three nothing as far as in the series against Carolina bomb Razek missing the last game for Carolina between the pipes. But did not matter. Carolina took care of business tomorrow. They are at home trying to wrap things up in four straight the way the islanders did in their opening series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Carolina, minus one forty five total shaded to the undermine this one twenty any the islanders have a chance to get that back to Brooklyn. They do only because zero zero right now. But normally I don't like to go against a team playing at home to wrap up the series in four games. Because what it means is that they will have won the first two games on the road. Meaning that the islanders didn't respond in game two when they needed to break even to go on the road, even though that would still mean giving up the home-ice advantage, then they couldn't get it done in game three. And so now, they're down three games to none. It'd be very very difficult realistically. It's happened in the NHL more than the other sport for a team was overcome three nothing. But even that is still extremely rare Carolina has had one of the better home ice advantages over the course of the season don't wanna lay a dollar forty. So. If I if I were going to play the islanders if they were happened to win game four maybe I would play them in game five, but then look for Carolina to wrap it up at home in game six under the arch. Insane Lewis this series tied at two Dallas Saint Louis been a very competitive series. Every games been intense Saint Louis up to a minus and forty five five the total in this one is well shaded to the over minus one thirty. So initially started as five under oh eight and now it's five over minus one thirty. So you have to lay one thirty to win one hundred if you wanna play that the two teams score more than five goals Saint Louis is there more pressure on a team that's been around for a long time like Saint Louis. That's never wanna Cup. They're back home. Sure, they have home-ice advantage. But manny's fans are starving for a Cup. And this is as good an opportunity, Andy, I think as a lever have all the fans are playing in the game and players are in. Both teams are looking to win in many cases, in most cases that I I don't know that there's more pressure. On either team because both teams have proven that they can both win and lose at home. So far. What does it? I think the the home teams are two into in the series. So each team one on the on each other's ice, which makes you say best of three series. What did you say? The price was on this one St Louis, laying one forty five was one thirty five hundred one that you know, these teams appear so evenly matched that I'd be inclined to take the price with the Dallas. They've already one here. Lost here. And they've done the same thing at home that seems to be a very big price. I probably would have the lines maker. What would you say opened what thirty five which I thought was a little bit high. But I would understand it. So I think if I were considering one thirty five to be a little bit high one Forty-five is even higher. So I wouldn't be surprised if the money comes in on Dallas tomorrow talking with Ron Rapoport about the Ernie banks booklets play to bringing up those Yukata cubs. One more time, Steiner's pub, one of our great sponsors there on Wednesdays at one of the three locations seventeen fifty north buffalo while they have their eleventh annual Nevada style pub baseball bus trip. It's the cubs and dodgers June fifteenth Saturday a one day trip drinking alcohol, it's twenty one and older. You can drink on the way they have some great sponsors tin Cup vodka. They've got four different beer vendors that are sponsoring. They've got up to two hundred seats between sections twenty eight and thirty two. So if you have a great. Group. Get into one of the three Steiner's pub locations, you have one right there in Las Vegas boulevard, south and windmill eighty one sixty Las Vegas boulevard, south eight four ten west Cheyenne on the west side just celebrated their twenty first anniversary last night. And then of course, seventeen fifty north buffalo right there at Vegas drive. That's where I am on Wednesday nights twenty four hours full kitchen. Great service what they don't have in the bottle. They've got on tap just outstanding place. They've got the gaming long bar there. You can play the video poker video Keno. They list all the jackpots that are hit up there. So you can check out the marquee, but the food is outstanding homemade soups homemade salad dressings top of the line. If you like lamb chops with a little bit of a kick. They do it to police style. Outstanding appetizer specials between three and six PM as far as on the drink side of things. Happy are between four and seven PM. So if you go between four and six he get break on the appetizers break on the well drinks or the beers the draft beer, so a really good set of a great time to go. Oh, the places packed on Wednesdays every Wednesday. I get their their sets that you know, TV's everywhere some good size screens as well. And he really cater to the Vegas. Sports teams as well. And the one out north buffalo actually has a Washington Redskins fan group and Kentucky Wildcats fan group as far as four football. Then there's an Auburn Tigers fan group at I believe the one down on Las Vegas boulevard, and they change. So if you have a a group that you want to do something to where you guys wanna get together every week go in there talk to Roger sacks or one of the managers there, and they'll try and set that up, but again that bus trip is Saturday June fifteenth bustle leave at about eleven AM, and it'll be several buses in the return from LA. So you leave the driving to them and you'll get back around two AM seven o'clock game two four o'clock in the afternoon game, four o'clock. I believe on FOX. Okay. So gonna leave it eleven that's going to. Enough time to just get there in time. Yeah. I can't see being. Yeah. You know what maybe maybe five o'clock. I mean, I'm just trying to think four four five is that says allowing five hours to get at least, right? An eleven to get there. Right at four. Yes. So then they're saying they're back by two. So if the games had four probably over by eight so maybe it is a five o'clock could be McCaw game. But it does not say that just as departing at eleven AM returning by two AM, you should be good to go. And again, by the way, it's going to be a fun experience is really really great time day, but a fun day. And if you go to the website, Steiner's pub, Lovie dot com, you can find the phone numbers for all three locations on west Cheyenne, north buffalo and Las Vegas boulevard south so that is again, June fifteenth good chance to get out of the heat because we know June fifteenth will be up over triple digits more than likely so good chance to get out there and see a great baseball game with two major league chance Dodger Stadium is a fun place to be. There you go. Good stuff you've as ravine PSB law dot com. Brian Panish senior partner, they're Panish boil the Panish perspective Tuesday nights over one. Billion in verdicts and settlements.

"miller park" Discussed on WTMJ 620

"Mike Twitter handle as you know, as WTMJ, Steve we look at that. And Jordan always will give you the results at the end of the program right before we handed off to the Jeff Wagner. Today's question was really the big news story yesterday. Miller park going to be called something different in twenty twenty one American family insurance has stepped up to the plate to use that baseball analogy again. Now what they're going to call it that's still out there and they didn't announce that yesterday. I don't think they now so much they're going to pay for those naming rights either. But what do you think you agree with the decision? I would say looking at what I've seen in hundreds of folks already weighing in lots of folks, love Miller party love that name, and it's gonna be a tough transition to get away from that. But I share the story earlier I'm old enough to remember county stadium when I was a kid. My dad would drop us off give us five bucks gets you into the ballpark. Get your hot dog soda you'd run around in the bleachers, which I think tickets were seventy five cents or a buck back then and the rest of you can still fit under a five dollar five dollar Bill, and it was a different era, and I still sometimes called Miller park county stadium slip of the tongue. Whatever just the memory of the past. So for folks who don't know county stadium, but only know Miller park, I'm sure that's going to happen for a while. People are going to be using that terminology for a while. And the folks are Miller. Even though the contract runs out the naming rights contract runs out on twenty twenty one. They're still going to benefit from that. Folks are going to still say Miller park and lot of people yesterday, especially if you look at social media were angry about it to the point where they were incensed we saw go fund me page of startup, although they didn't do very well. We saw people getting Petitions I think my producer Jordan signed a petition to actually keep the name Miller park. And he's he's grabbing a microphone. Yes. Yes. I did. Yes. Yesterday. So what made you want to sign that petition? Well, my personal opinion. I don't think American family insurance is. Let's say local I mean, I know it's like a locally in the state of Wisconsin. But in the walkie, I'd prefer a name that kind of resembles our culture here. Not local enough. Yeah. Not local enough. So what did you think signing petition was going to do about it? Nothing. Just voicing your opinions voicing my opinion. Nothing. And apparently, it was like thirty thousand people a lot of people signed it shows you there's a lot of angst over this changed. Now. The good thing is I mentioned this before you have a couple of years to kind of knock some of that anx down and people will gradually get used to it. The physical changes are going to have to happen at Miller park are big deal as well. So it'd make you feel better Jordan if say, I don't know if they'll do this. But if American families said, hey, let's work together and come up with a plan for how we can rename the stadium. You can vote on these five options or something like that. Would that help at all or no sure I'm down for anything? I just the name that you threw up before and fan park. Family. I'm hearing a lot of different names. I don't know. None of those really excite me. No. I think amfam is the way they have to go whether they will do that or not apparently their website is amfam dot com. Already using that moniker to if you want to call it that so I think there's some comfortably there. Sure. I don't think anybody wants to call anything with a long name because it's not the way you refer to ballparks one of the one of the students as ATS's stadium AT and T ballpark. That's easy to say right off the tongue easy. No problem. You start throwing three or four words in with multiple syllables probably not going to be used that much. So you wanted to say your brand speak loudly. And clearly that's the stuff that goes on the stadium. That's the stuff. That's big. Right. So we're that Miller park sign is that faces the freeway would be American family insurance. That's already folks mocking that up on on social media. A lot of folks love the Photoshop things. And that's that's one of the examples. So interesting discussion is going to happen for a couple of years. We can ease into the transition kind of get used to it. So that's the big change American family insurance..
