"It's still fresh in your mind. Oh, wow. Uh, No sort of sort of bull. Too long go its getting close getting close, but it's on. It's teetering for me. I still feel it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Tom paper and thank you for joining us on been hot out there, but luckily, our event tonight is taking place indoors. That's right. Where Jodi cameras bathroom, getting ready for what we hope to be bad for the image is it looks like the camera's ready. So let's get right to the action. Joe steps up to the top and has turned on the faucets. But we expect nothing less from such a seasoned vet. It looks like he is now testing the temperature of the water with his and he's going to be looking for something warmed over trinkets, but not too hot that he burns his delicate size seven feet. I'm thinking around 100 won 100 degrees. Oh, and he's got the stoppers down and the top is filling. Looks like he's now all set. Always got to do is step in and hold a phone if he yet he has grabbed bubbles and his fingers were dumping bubbles into the Not this one coming. You men have dared this move. But the camera has pulled it off, Joe. Now this rope and preparing to enter the bath and whoa, I thought you called yourself a hammer. That a rethink that one. Okay, well, moving on. He's in And this is it for us. Wait. Wait on RIA. He's reaching for biography on our 13th President Miller Fillmore, and he's got it. No, no, stop it into the water, Just like it was a football and he was Nelson haggle. Or he doesn't like the re plugged in hair dryers. Well, Joe regroup. We will be taking a quick commercial break and we'll be back to more of his heart stopping actions. You know what? That's a great effort, man. That's a great efforts. Also, a lot of ass for big sports call that was outstanding was a lot of it was through a lot of it wasn't true. I did take a bath yesterday. A little afternoon delight after our show yesterday, so and it wasn't Millard Fillmore was Ty Cobb in the bathtub with me. And with that we shot it.

"Your home interview with this guy. Oh you are oh good behind the music. WHO's better? WHO'S BETTER STEVE'S ALIGARH GUY or Steve? Murder Me duo these eternal questions. That's like that's I mean. I don't like to disrespect is respect. The Steve's Aligarh Guy but the this duo has made me laugh harder I think I don't think I doubt I doubt you laughed. Harder at their songs are great. Yeah there's no way you'll laugh harder than the hotel California song where he's like by. That's hardest you guys left pretty hard. Its first time. I heard Steve Murderer. I laughed pretty hot. That's true that's I mean this is like you know and then I also have heard yesterday at the song how do you pick. Doesn't that's an impossible pickets sophie's choice off right. I mean that's you know I can't. They're both great. They're both wonderful. Call it a Sophie's choice. 'cause no one's going to die here I think why do you say that. I think it's one of those subjective to kill me when we don't take those pictures of Miller fillmore realized that everyone's dead in those pictures. I look at those all the time and think that death comes for us all kark. My Benneton from one to the humor wasn't because of this room learned that changes in the line of the day. Though there's no abuse show gun shows poor girl. Christie was like a great doing scratching my head. Why do you put your sunglasses on for these pictures to wait? Rademacher embarrassment. You're is well. It's just I if I don't put him on. Every comment is look over here Mike. That's funny I deal with it. What the the people on twitter pictures really care the same dumb luck and every picture book? I just figured out this movie. PODCAST can be before diving. I need to give it more thought. Okay call today but I figure I need to figure what it's GonNa be alright. I kind of like the idea. What do you guys think of this for within the barstool world like like there's the episode is I Tell Schmidt a movie. She has to watch. She tells me movie she likes that. I have to watch that now. We talk about it. She watches the untouchable people. Say and I watch what I think. There may be some value there now. Yeah I think it's a good step I would just have to figure it out technically with Barstool because I think we if we have video you of you. WE'RE GONNA want video of her out to wanting to be pure phone and are enshrined in there. See you can see her video thing. Yeah they'll be some technical stuff author workup but I like that idea. Yeah and I think it'd be part of a show where do some other movie stuff but it that'd be part of it every week always barstool people. That doesn't have to be but I think it I it would be you know. KFC or it'll be easier if it's barstool people 'cause random people that you know might not necessarily have the setup that we need that's true too but it kept yes but yeah but I mean like I. My guess is that it's more interesting the dynamic with Schmidt. I'm I guess that probably like Dan Likes the Booze Alec. Yeah but there's GonNa be some some. There's definitely that you call stupid. KFC loves. I've no doubt about that. That's true yeah yeah that's true. Yeah so matt stuff like that. I don't know Mike Portnoy an episode. That would be terrific. Your real conversation. Oh my God like that. I mean conversation would never end if they'll come in. I'm pretty sure he's still pissed off about toilet paper. Toby Bryant that infamous talked Miss Scandal Brandon Walker. I don't know the girl from USA Today. They A tweet about every thirty minutes. Trista yes yeah. I saw Dick Sucker at a quote that Mike Portnoy was going to give David talking about his rant against me. I'm curious the happened on Thanksgiving cities up really. That's what he said. Dave sure they'll really help your case but listen it'll come through crystal clear. Dave Dave is is GonNa hate Mike so much he's GonNa fire is more than a day once a year from. Its Mike Portnoy about me. Cheese All right what else. Anything else well. There's the the lunch that Mike was invited to yesterday. And Yeah so so bill. I think we all agree first of all I. It was an empty gesture. I kept personally vouch for Milton's the store for men because they've been supportive me for literally. Since I started on the weekends. They liked me so I have no and as Dana and bill all the people every time there yesterday we were always a great time it ends in the in in bills. Hey can I buy lunch and I said sure. And then Steve had the comeback. Here do some work. Yes Mike Literally had nothing to do. You did not want to be at that. One gladly gone please. Did you have anything to do. No nowhere to happily gone but this is can I just give you a piece of advice. I WANNA nickel's worth of free advice. Someone this is how you would you think I'm GONNA say Steve. He's a status. You never miss an opportunity to go to lunch with someone like bill with a client gas. This is how you build relationships. So so this is there any. GimMe me. Give me give me a second here. I'm GonNa let you respond to what are you doing. How's turnoff as much? But my point is that you know. Say Down the line you do a podcast. CAST and you'll confer sponsor or separate buckets could do that for you. You build relationships. I Love Bill. I think he's a terrific guy. Good very good to me but now he remembers you as the guy who skipped lunch. It doesn't send your thank you text. I don't know about that I do. I mean I don't know you're right for fact but I that's how I would think I think bill's Steve Build a little more open minded. He asked me privately. Mike skipped out on lunch. I know we talked. I need I need them in. The studio actually talked a little bit right. I'm sure glowing things set. Go from him. It was nobody said part of the reason because we were we were basically two guys bemoaning. How the generation below us has no work ethic right in randomly? Your name came and nobody was talking about something else but you said you think part of the reason Mike is so timid is because of his serviceability of course I said I think so. But then there are blind people who were real aggressive go-getter you're more of a passive yeah type. I wonder if that's a beat. If you could see if we'll be different maybe not. Maybe it's just all your built. I would probably be so but I would probably be more confident if you were pretty confident. They're trying to fight gun show and big Franca I was. I didn't didn't WANNA fight them. I just that'd be a funny two hundred value. Elliot's looking forward to it but but he asked that yesterday so yeah that was sort of I would say he's in Astute observation. Yes of course nice to have your perspective on it. I don't think you believe this. I skipped lunch. Thank you believe that I would never. If I'm if I was I would never say. Yeah no I do like with my boss has asked me lunch. I thought I would have hated that if I am is boss right. WHO's your boss? You the report to me Yes boss is saying again. I'm not like Matt Lauer. He only GonNa let you have to go to lunch fine. I would've I would've loved to go to the car immediately. And what did you say. Hey to me should late seemed like an empty gesture no and I was like yeah. No there's nothing kirk wants more than not to have someone. He does a show every day that he's comfortable around. Accompany this lunch uncomfortable I wanted. They're letting them off the hook but it's like I was like please be great to have you know bill for a long time. I've had hundred lunches but bill but I I thought boy that's a weird and you said come on and I want to go but I can the blame on me. I don't put the blame on you. I knew you didn't want I think again. I always say it's now is on the rise or trying. Yeah we never said no to any if a client and ever said in my boss ever I said come to launch their buddy. You've got a lunch partner for life now. Empty gesture again. Well this is one of the by uh-huh now then I'll say why don't you ask. You really need to be more than just you know the thing. If Mike Gun launch a million bill would show I would have never made fun of him for no show of sorry that it was uncomfortable for I think you would have complemented him for taking the initiative I would have thrown a few zingers. Yes yeah but even like those lunches. He seems so uncomfortable. I Mike Obama everywhere I go. Yeah comfortable after one year. No it's it's like you're going to be uncomfortable in in Madel. You only play some kept listening wobbly pups in me you know you too drunk reverse show that might be bombed warmly. POPs is your wobbly. POPs would use a double standard. There's a robin away with a lot more. I don't know why that is. But what's weird about Steve as you can't like the little when you're that far away the extra five feet does make a difference like I cannot see. We're that Manson swastika the forehead. You can't see it from. Yeah but back in there was like very promising means not wealthy. When did this start what you making been making some kind of when he said we've got a Jew about forty-five minutes ago but forty five minutes ago you decided to be funny at Eastern Hydro Funny? Oh He'll find it funny cares. He's so sensitive. You shouldn't have that lunch yesterday to you should have to do. I'd worked to do I'd to be here. I had to be here fucking up the studio. Oh so you'd be uncomfortable in angry first thing this morning. Do you pick up a hammer and these situated you pick up any to roll. You're running some cabling move this table. Oh it's actually kind of heavy table. Take my shirt off the shirt offer. Did you really are no. Yeah No. It's too cold winter cold and take shirts off. Yeah all yes. I would agree with that. which contractors convinced him to keep it hot? It's cold legally. I'm amazed at the amount of people the Free Cheltenham even the last day. And I'm like I wish I could on this trip like bullshit. I'm stunned at the I have film. Oh fear yes you got it right yes I have a friend yeah. I'm a friend that is getting a new job wasn't sure if he was enough to work that weekend. I said Buddy you're not gonna be able to sit on your hands here. Quit your job asshole. That's what is it kick on the weekend. He's an EMT so there's no schedule to schedule is going to be commoner share. I understand that people like that. We could probably use an emt of shrew. Through while. I was GonNa ask you that. What's the hospital close by? What about security at the event itself concerned about that people try we ask the surly people trying to break? Do we need somebody. There are no gun show window. I guess you'll have your gun so I think we'll be fine. Okay good I mean the fans are a good bunch inch people. People are getting going to be envious of those who took the initiative lining up there but life. Hey there's like if we could have five hundred people up there we would. But there's not a wilbur up there there's not a huge theater that can accommodate this. I also have a feeling there won't be many local rabble rousers trying to get. We might be safe thing. I Yeah I've been hearing. Yes we'RE GONNA HAVE WE'RE GONNA have a lot of locals there. This is the The locals four thousand the town government. They all know that the fans are coming. I understand you you bad boys coming to town. I am half french-canadian came to an accident. You are wow. Oh Yeah I'm Italian. I can't do an Italian accent or you can do. It stereotypical one..

"One New England guaranteed. That'd be over to it picked against them. Can you believe it. Oh my God did he really yes she would use so talk with you. That was his lead. That's fine I give. What used to listen to that from time to time? Yeah We'll see if they have anything interesting. They always filming. It's it's a weird was all right. So what else yes we have. We may have sound writing what he got. Steve We'll do you want to. We've got a bunch of songs but I know you're you're looking for stories. Does the smell at story interest you at all. I mean I just think it's funny. Funny that he's going back to try and open up the arms like you would think that the whole Chapelle dunking on kind of put an end to the matter. The most famous Black Comedian is making a mockery of. It's strange it's strange. He's I would say it's strange. He's not giving up the fight. I would maybe I mean it doesn't I don't think it does but we always say like. Oh if you really innocent then fight for a fight you know what I mean. He's obviously not innocent. No Way Right. I mean for people who haven't seen it. He's now suing the city of Chicago because he says that the CHICAGO DETECTIVES I guess engaged in militia malicious prosecution and he said the two brothers are in on it as well right like they strange. Strange he says is that they. The cops didn't work hard enough to find the white people who beat him up and splash bleejon him and put a noose around his neck when it was negative. Fifteen degrees out in Chicago at two. AM outside outside the subway. So he says it wasn't the brothers then because I thought he I know he's accused the brothers being involved. No so he's he's still maintaining that the assault happened. Yeah he's not giving up the fight. I mean nobody literally nobody believes we're like the OJ part where he's still searching for the real killer. Why he wouldn't want to go back? It seems like people had forgotten about this until yesterday. And everybody's hey remember. Remember this asshole Jussie smollet who did hate crime hoax. He hasn't worked really since then. Right no empires done now. He got he got kicked off. They they wrote them out hiring. They did their final season. Yeah the only work he'll get now are projects that need something a reason for people to watch. It's hey we got this the remember the guy from empire again but even that that you're right though but I mean what does this say but working with the guy if he's doing something like this for attention. Seems like a little a bit of a diva and I. I don't know who would want to hire but I suppose there will be a market for I. You know if there's some film them some kind of social justice film. I don't know maybe he can team up with Colin Kaepernick and they could do something and it's like there's a segment there's an audience for that never talk about capper nickname. I am so happy. Never to have a discussion about him. We didn't tried right up the months weeks of him and I didn't you know so such a silly stupid story a chance for both sides the wave their fucking flat it's hurt. It's perfect for wearing wearing pink. Socks hates cops idly defended Catholic. I didn't I didn't I didn't really early commute he's an asshole but hey being blackballed at the same time. He's suing that you soon the fucking. NFL team sign them. Then yeah it. Doesn't you know again. You can't win like so. He speaks his mind for years. People have said athletes should speak. They should over Michael Jordan and Derek jeter and for years by the way Lebron James and then they speak their minds in the turns out the unlike like what they're saying and oftentimes they are misinformed. He's going into the troops right. This is different. Get mad them for being misinformed. Well would you expect like which is like you. You know people say stupid stupid like he's not not you. I think you got like a four point. Oh in high school in like a three seven. He's not dumb but I do. I don't think that he believes is in a lot of his 'cause necessarily he believes in his contract with Nike. Yeah I think I think he believes in some of the stuff. I think he's done some good things I think he's also a bit of a showman like he's you know he's gotten way more than being you know the twenty third best quarterback in the NFL last couple of years. This is much better for him. There was a moment two years ago when president trump when this happened trump said any of these. NFL players want to take a meeting with me. Like if there's somebody that they want their sentence commuted if there's an issue with me we'll get it done. Why couldn't capture nick to step up and he's all right right finally some because they're afraid when you do that they'll criticize you for even working with trump at all? Yeah it really hurt. Kim Kardashian Gonyea but these aren't athletes. It's different but I would say like last night. During the debate One of the moderators asked. I actually thought a pretty good question. The Cory Booker. She said you know I was stunned that she said this the younger. MSNBC lady. Her name said disrespectful either. All four women doing that debate. You realize how historic that was do. I realize how star was fucking incredible moment. Unbelievable did you watch it with Kate. I did yeah. I said this looks in nevertheless. She persists you wake up. We both cried. You gotTa See. This won't believe leave. This bells were ringing all over New England and she said you know I actually thought this was a good question. She said President trump basically for all his whatever as gotten the middleman is used twitter as a communication to the people. Is that something. You would continue if you're elected. President of the United States to me is a really good question because in the past. There's been this wall this this fortress we don't know really what's going on whether you like trump or not he will tell you what's going on his version but he's update you all day. Corey Booker was like well you know and and he keeps fucking lifted. He's like well. I think the most important thing is to get back to a sense of unity and calm and like our fuck which stands at the fucking question Asshole tweet from the Oval Office or not anyone anyway. The next person won't and I think that's actually too bad I do. Are you sure about that. I think that no no one's GonNa tweet like trump. No but they're going to the tweet like bullshit stuff like like. Hey Bill today and they'll be picturing signed the bill. It's not going to be like. Hey I had this meeting here today and I disagree with this person about this Alex Bowie. We're paying their fucking salaries. Trump has trained changed the way people use twitter. And you're seeing it in or is there more I mean I think that there the staff around around them will try to alter the way that twitter is used. I it may not be you know Elizabeth Warren Dashing it out with on our iphone like trump over the next younger politician is. We'll be good at it. I guess whoever the hell asking the other thing is mayor Pete needs glasses. He looks like a guy who should wear glasses. He would look much older and smarter and more presidential glasses on that. Yeah Yeah I mean who am I to tell him Bo fashion right. It didn't work for Rick Perry. I agree but he's but mayor Pete looks like a little boy he needs. He needs the glass. It looks like Alfred Newman. He does he needs a glasses. I'll even personally me. I'd go old school present. Pregnant Mustache moustachioed president since win Years and years and years old. It's not Roosevelt is it. Someone tweeted me a line that we skipped over and I don't know high missed it. Was that yesterday. Steve said. Well we all know Millard. Fillmore was a little light in the low. I we all do that. The basic American history. I agree I think somewhere in America. There's a Millard fillmore state high school. Oh there's got to be wherever he. It's Brian now. It's probably it's probably in the mid West because he you know when when he was president and were expanding. Yeah Oh you. You're familiar with the fillmore presidency. Yeah no I mean when when he's in office in resettling attlee New Territories within common to name streets and stuff after the president. So so if you lose Google Millard fillmore named Millard. Is Anybody somebody that name. Anybody born in America was named Millard. Two Thousand Nineteen ended it Millard with some Millard fillmore. What a weird name Lillard? Yes there is a Millard fillmore. Elementary School on hold on don't Ohio Moravian New York work. Wow is that from. They're shocked shocked from there. He has to be from there. No there's also a Millard fillmore college. It's part the Buffalo Education Center so he's from upstate New York there's also a Millard. fillmore elementary in the Oklahoma City public school system. I'll be damned. Fillmore is passed the test of time he didn't. He didn't assault anybody other than he was an appropriate boss. It sounds like the late in the loafers. Apparently but it will no. That's that's fine right any god. That's now they say he looks like Alec. Baldwin who does Millard fillmore. He does of different ways. A good year is a good. I swear to God Alec Baldwin Name Millard Fillmore. That's a name that doesn't sound out until you point out the first name Millar v Millard fillmore normal. But then when you say Millard of Millard fillmore rolls off the tongue bells. But I don't know what. How many died Steve? I'm looking about fillmore. Official President. Rodney was seventy four. He does a little bit like Alec. Baldwin seventy four is pretty good for that day and age. Oh definitely did he do anything worth Alec Baldwin playing him in a movie. Can we get this done. Mussina analyze looking at them equate run. You're right he's from Monrovia and he died in buffalo his children Millard and then Mary at that first wife is always she died. Probably Kevin The kid and then the second one was a civil war Northville art a good run easily. He's like any of the antebellum presidents. They get the exactly. They get the bad rap that they just forestalled the president. Thank you with you Pierce Buchanan. All those guys. It's it's like come on the that we were in the National Crisis Abraham Lincoln to come along and actually do something about it. Go not impressed. Then I don't think he's the most impressive passive president no he married Caroline Macintosh whose second wife. She's only thirteen years younger than him. I thought you'd be much younger. They're gonNA sit thirteen years old. He was a pretty good guy. I like him Miller fillmore guy. Yeah Yeah but get it up on the wall. Lincoln's assassination April eighteen sixty five black ink was thrown on the fillmore house because it was not draped in mourning like others. WHO's apparently out of town at the time? Put Black troops in the windows. Once he returned They put ink had a stroke and died a a couple of days later. So the that's that's that's interesting then that may be the mirrow also the reason the University of Buffalo is named after ms because he helped found it. Oh is that right I I was like. He's the he's the he's the president of the show. Yes yeah I think so. Yeah I think. I'm going to endorse unsung hero. I'm GONNA your silver. Yeah into live for what. What the two thousand twenty one? All right. The next live show is going to be on. His grave. Live shows going to be a high school. I like don't you yes or no. No no no no. That's not true. No that's too. Close it Oklahoma City would feel more elementary. That was yes I. I think that we'll do that next year. It'll be a year from now that we need to point sweater. Perot was calm. I it some of our fighters already. We'll tell help them. I mean nine o'clock right. Yeah you think they came together or no it came down to these guys are crazy. Put them in a car together. We take on the fillmore. Oh more administration l.. Let's get them in and find out what. What is Steve? Thanks one hundred years and trump was gonna be looked at differently historically in in what way you said that the the history looking at kindly in the same way. Think of who writes these books. Remember that yeah but just think think about how people have softened on Bush when it's not when it's not right in in their in front of your mind you Bush but Bush is play ball though but you Elizabeth Warren in and the economy turns sour. People are GONNA be start looking back at Donald trump the boom times that we had and they're like like the most hated president during his..

"Of Benediction. He's GonNa say all right. We are now officially dedicating this cemetery. He could probably could have done it in about two sentences. It's Edward Everett. Who is invited to deliver the oration? The Real Gettysburg address and sure enough. Edward Everett complies with a two and a half hour. Thirteen thousand word doozy of an address and this is coming from a man who's been governor Governor Massachusetts. He was briefly senator from Massachusetts he was appointed villa vacancy. It'd be a member of Miller fillmore cabinet. He'd been Professor of Greek literature at Harvard. He'd been president of Harvard. In fact one of the curiosities is that in eighteen sixty. He ran as the vice presidential candidate on the Constitutional Union Party ticket against Lincoln and Hamlin. Now this was something that Lincoln did not hold against him because wants the war broke out. Everett came out firmly and squarely on behalf of the Union. Cause but whenever it shows up everyone expects everyone knows he he is going to deliver one of these. Three decker involved complicated ornate Latin or rations. And that's really what it gives he gives as you a history of the whole war gives you a history of the battle of Gettysburg and it's full of Athens and marathon and Parak- Leigh's and and facilities in fact even ends it by quoting pericles ration- from the Peleponnesian wars. It's your typical classical speech of the nineteenth century. The problem is it's all length and no sound bite. There's really nothing you can pull out of it. There's no phrases raises that you can pull out of it. That have any kind of memorable quality to them. Lincoln himself once said about Everett as an arbiter. He didn't much care for ever it as a public speaker. He referred to an occasion whichever it was speaking at Faneuil Hall in whichever it turned into a bust of John Adams and said teach us the love of liberty constrained by Law Lincoln. I said Yeah. That was a nice sentiment. But that's all it was and Lincoln came away very unimpressed by this Lincoln. Want us to do something very different. Then Edward Everett did and what Lincoln did is what we remember. Not Whatever Everett spoke. I always thought it was ironic. That the Harrisburg Patriot and Union Union wrote about five days. Afterwards we pass over the silly remarks the president for the credit of the nation. We're willing that the veil of oblivion shelby dropped over them and that they will be no more reactor thought of an Chicago. Times came back and said the cheeks of every American must tingle with with shame as he reads the silly flat and dish watery utterances those just has parts opponents. Absolutely the Harrisburg Patriot. Trade Union in a way has never quite recovered from that because if anybody knows the Harrisburg Patriot Union for anything. They know it for that comment about the Gettysburg address. The the thing you have to understand is that in the nineteenth century and Lincoln's time American newspapers made no pretend whatsoever to anything that we would today call journalistic journalistic objectivity newspapers were generally functions of the political parties. In other words you had party thirty functionaries and they established newspapers and the newspapers reflected the party point of view. And then these newspaper editors would also hold down down patronage jobs as a reward for running the paper that they did and they would get a patronage appointment as postmaster ship here or some other political job somewhere morale's but doesn't those days. There's no civil service it's all purely appointive. The newspapers are all wildly an unashamedly political in nature. And you you can read a Republican paper and democratic paper describing the same event and really. Don't have much sense that you're reading about the same event. You can really see this in dramatic form during the Lincoln. Douglas debates in eighteen fifty eight when Illinois is deeply split and you read Democratic Newspapers Describing Lincoln speech in a particular town that when you're either Republican paper describing it and it doesn't even sound like a quoting the same same text and in some respects. The aren't some of them are just making it up but that was the way. Newspapers functioned in those days and both the Patriot Union and the Chicago. The Times were deeply died democratic newspapers The Times been a democratic newspaper in Chicago way back into the ageing fifties. It had been a the chief Oregon. Stephen Douglas. And the editors of the Times hated Abraham Lincoln in fact in the spring of eighteen sixty three. They had been briefly shutdown by one of Lincoln's Generals Ambrose Burnside so they had no love for Lincoln. There was no way they were going to find. Lincoln's Gettysburg. "Be insider Jon Heyman go around the biggest storylines of course the game Drummond when Xena get traded deployment is going to be treated I know the Yankees other teams of inquire when former big leaders to be going to Europe in the spring Java game from a player's perspective also there's a reason why you're seeing this Indian team start to play better if all Cleveland I'm hanging in there dot com forward slash sports and follow along on Twitter or DC sports it's given spittle with another radio dot com addition of fan one oh one I'm left handed and I've always been referred to as a south paw but I never knew where the term came from now there are various stories of its origin but Ben Zimmer the Wall Street journal dug deep and he surmised that many say the word was first used in baseball but it was actually used in a Philadelphia comic newspaper as early as eighteen thirteen then it was used to describe lefthanded boxers in St boxers before baseball became the national pastime it was even used in in eighteen forty eight political cartoons featuring our thirteenth president the United States Miller Fillmore the first used in baseball was a decade later in eighteen fifty eight it was then that baseball took the term over and the story baseball told was that the origin came from left handed pitchers facing the south in nineteen century ball parks with home plate facing west so that's the story of southpaws with another edition of fan one a one I'm proud South Park Gavin spittle we've got the analysis and the access turn it on leave it on one oh five three though fan news segment of that near his rocky by southwest here southwest he is home to one fifty vehicles that sort of fifty dollars down it's two hundred fifty dollars a month there's a long line that southwest kia dot com thank you Reggie Adam the shed of NFL dot com has put together his weekly shine nine Chalam in this week he's breaking down who are the contenders who are the pretenders of what he calls the fat middle of the NFL I like that the fat middle now that middle I know you're Jewish rather and Adam Schein in wall check you are our resident Caucasian south African Americans you here on the show so he's your boy you got a lot of love form but too much gel for me and I really don't have a lot of love for this guideline piling like his content I like the articles he pumps out but I can't really stand anything else that he does what about the time that he said that the Jacksonville Jaguars were America's team that's were really rub me the or are you kidding me Adam Schein Jacksonville Jaguars Jack you laws or London's team they are basically the international franchise of the NFL I don't even know of London one some I don't think the jet Jacksonville really want them I would agree with that a hundred percent so how are they America's team they're not exactly shine get it done I hated him from the moment I read that but he's gonna care is for the next twelve minutes those I appreciate you Adam he's he certainly is and just a quick update on the world series when the fifth inning the Astros route one to nothing adds that cranky pitching a shut out you lingering al with the solo bomb that is the only run of the game will continue to keep you abreast on that situation as we move forward now this is kind of how shine gets us into this he basically said so at the mid point eight weeks into the twenty nineteen campaign which teams have the potential to emerge from the fat middle and make no waste this winter and which you're doomed to a relevancy it's time to separate contenders from pretenders XII nine style I like that with the contenders number one the Houston Texans huh I agree read you don't agree with that I I mean they just suffered a really tough injury on their defense on pretty much what what is the Lynch pin on the defense and JJ watt like they just gave up what was their JJ what insurance before in a JVM cloudy and it so I don't know they I don't think they can get pressure anymore and that secondary is a particular world beaters like it's basically going to be Hey deshaun Watson gold out slaying outgun the other team and I think that he's he might be able to do it I just don't feel very comfortable and that's all fair read Jen you started to sway me a little bit because I was gonna I was going to be on the the contender bandwagon here we shine with the Texans I like them I like to Sean walked in I believe in him tremendously you make a good point about JJ what I will say I don't know if you know that back in the day when Jay you why was when defense player the years and stuff this Texas defense really depended on him he'd see Mike JJ watt was getting close to that form again before his injury yes No he was Domini I mean heck I don't know did you want towards pack yes this last week's game is out for the year the attack is about to put him on I are in the play he injured himself was sacking Derek Carr so John shows will play they do just outside and and they're definitely to miss them they have a lot of injuries on defense they just try to they just went got gear on calmly to be their corner who did not look very good against his former team on Sunday the rate is slowly hasn't looked great really since the early part of his rookie year hasn't been and that's why they got rid of them so soon they're in Oaklyn he's a second round pick usually like to hang on to those guys for awhile see if you can develop them meals are some off the field issues like that's why I dropped in the draft there was some of that is going on here yes there was some of that so the Texans have gotten railed with injuries a special the deep inside the ball there is no question about it but I just love to Sean walked in so much and that the biggest problem with the Texans especially coming into the year was that offense of line and their seemingly getting healthy and getting you know they're younger they're getting better as the season goes on learning tonsil helpful every tonsils also banged up that sure he got he's got everywhere he hasn't right all year long and credit him he's been playing through in battling for injury but he's out of town I think now he's dealing with some kind of upper body injury there were tonsils been been certainly fighting through a lot of injuries there with Houston now to your point Adam Schein agrees with both you says the Texans have a pretty top heavy roster their depth the shaky he also says so is their coaching which I think a lot of people wearing hello Brian is pretty suspect but at this point shine says he refuses to bat against the great deshaun Watson and that's kind of where I'm at I just I'm a huge believer him heck that play is probably the play the weekend we have to take it in the face or through a one eyed touchdown man that was awesome all right number two on this list and Eric I think you're going to agree with this in in word this is just kind of a T. isn't look ahead to when we go around the NFC at ten forty but it's the LA rams yes the rams I'm a big believer in these guys they they have been a bit underwhelming at least early on in the season Lawson games in that office of line's been a huge problem for them but I think he you know like I mentioned about the Texas I think this office of line of the rams is getting a little bit healthier getting better they're young so they should get better as the season goes on and they just they they had two nice games in a row and other gets bad teams but they get your confidence level up a little bit now they get the bye week so they're gonna get healthier and then they go face Mister bass ski and who's the other garbage quarterback to Mister bass ski and some other bad quarterback that they're facing over the next two weeks that organization will this research on that but you're right it shows guaranteed jobs coming up they're gonna be seven three and I think they're gonna be right where they want to be in the still get to play the Seahawks again they're gonna play the forty Niners I think at least one more time so they're gonna have a chance to to beat the better teams in their division and I I think the rams that this a been there done that team they they bolster the defense with Ramsey and I think the defense will get better and better as the season goes on I like the rams rams have a favorable schedule the second half they've got four of their last eight games against teams with a losing record Hooper Cup is straight up bawling right now I'm all I think you're gonna see Todd Gurley start to get a little bit more the workload here I think they've been saving him up for the second half of the season everybody especially fantasy players out there or wondered about what is going on with Todd Gurley I think they're really just been managing his workload you're gonna start to see Todd Gurley when the season goes on in the rams are are fighting for that division has a really good division there were Seattle and San Francisco they're really gonna be fighting for a wild card spot most likely they've got a win these games have you'll see Todd Gurley get the football little bit more not to mention I'm still a big believer in Sean McVay number three I can't stand this team the dell vehicles who man this is that's a good one I think it had a loss against buffalo on Sunday there she's not good either so I really don't think that says greater when is people are making it out to me well their defense had been good up until Sunday and it's a road win and that the week that Philly had coming into that game after the loss on the non football to our Dallas Cowboys Orlando skin injuries bad mouth and everybody it seems like that locker rooms imploding and they go out and get the victory they sort of rowdy around each other made sure they got the win it was a big win on the road they dominated the bills they really get their running game look good defense looked really good and so I I do think the eagles are going to be right there in the thick of it they're gonna have to win the division in order to make the playoffs it's going to come down to that second last game of the season in Philadelphia against the cowboys I firmly believe that so with that being said I do think in their schedule gets so much easier as the season goes on that well Jules very favorable so it's hard it's hard to say that the eagles are pretenders I think and they have that championship pedigree I think that they will be in the thick of things but it's either win the division or missed the playoffs for the eagles no doubt number four and it's Adam shines pet team you won't take a wild guess who that is is America's team yeah who he thinks is America's team the London Jax godly these guys are not he loves dug around that's the first sentence I love dug around okay and I love how Jacksonville has dealt with the adversity an injury and the jailing Ramsey nonsense it's been admirable don't get me wrong I love Gardner meant you can't say that I love Doug Marone he is not the enemy of good head coaches I'm surprised he still has a job and tomorrow night when you give me ten coaches that you think you're better than Kyle Shanahan I don't anticipate Doug groans going to be anywhere near that list so Doug around will not be I would take cal Shanahan in a heart.

"Great America, welcome this Sunday night. In every county every village every city, every Burgh every state between Maine and Hawaii, and Alaska and Florida I'm with you every Sunday night. But doing this for about thirteen years when after Matt drudge decided to focus on the drudge report. The, the best news website in the world is the drudge report. The kings of talk radio. Rush limbaugh. Of course and Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. And of course, Mark Levin. I had the honour Friday night of pinch hitting for Mark, and you got a hold of me, two three weeks ago today, Willie can you do June? The seventh for me and I, I generally don't like doing such things because I'm on the air six days a week. Anyway. Monday through Friday on seven hundred wwl w and Cincinnati Sunday night with you all across the country. So, you know, I'll like time with my family my friends, but when Mark Levin asks something I like to do it. If rush would call me or Sean. I do the same thing. I'd say let's do it whatever it takes though. It'd be hard for me to pinch hit for Rush Limbaugh. When Ron exactly the same time nonetheless, he is. The king, the Michael Jordan. He's, he's the Kevin Durant of, of talk radio. So thanks for listening tonight. Let's get into it, and I awoke caucus of sorts going on in which fourteen of the twenty two socialist running for the presidency are being heard, and I watch beta rock this morning with George Stephanopoulos is one of the clowns. Covering politics for ABC news is if he's independent, when he's not, and beta Aurora was on, and beta aerobic talked about what he would do if elected. And of course, the mainstream media, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, New York Times posted cetera or in the business of Jinding up and hoping there's an impeachment proceeding, because it's eyeballs and its ears people watching it carrying about it witnesses. They wanna relive. Watergate so CNN's failing ratings needs something to juice, it up the ratings have gone right in the crapper, right after the decision by Muller, not doing died or charged. President with anything. So the ratings have been cut in half, especially as NBC. So they need something it up. They're not after Justice thereafter, ratings thereafter eyeballs as what they're after. And so he was asked by George Stephanopoulos. The media is incentivizing sparking and insurrection among the American people to take down this president and Stephanopoulos said, even if the house impeaches Senate isn't going to convict the president. If you win twenty twenty. This is the typical George Stephanopoulos question, quote, if you went, and twenty twenty would you would you the Justice department to pursue? I don't know. That's the right language. But what would you ask the Justice department of pursue charges against President Trump, a Rourke says, I will want my Justice department any future administration Justice department to follow the facts, and the truth, and make sure at the end of the day. There's accountability and Justice. Without this without this idea this experiment. American democracy comes to an end we were attacked unlike any other time in our two hundred forty three or three history, which is a bunch of crap. The attack by the Russians has been going on since at least about nineteen sixty eight. So when you think about Pearl Harbor was up more of an attack than what the Russians did on Facebook, one hundred thousand dollars worth of ads. Absolutely with nine eleven and attack buys Lamin extremists on New York City. Absolutely. Is that not as great as Facebook? Ads by the Russians and twenty sixteen. I would hope any common food would understand that with the Russians did was tepid insignificant and didn't count compared to what happened. Nine nineteen forty one. What happened twenty one and many other times we've been attacked when way or another and Bill Cunningham. You're listening to I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. The epicenter of the twenty sixteen race was in Cincinnati, Ohio Hamilton county. There wasn't one occasion. In the summer spring, or fall of twenty sixteen. We're any Russian showed up anywhere in Ohio, Kentucky, you're in, if they didn't come here, they didn't go anywhere because, as you know, Republicans ever won the presidency without winning Ohio. And so during the entire time there wasn't one news Article No television report. There was nothing on the internet whatsoever discernible by anybody in Ohio, or Michigan or Pennsylvania about the Russians are coming. The Russians are coming. It was a bunch of crap. Then that's a bunch of crap now, so, to have beta Aurora who pretends to be Spanich much like, Kamala, Harris pretends to be African American and Senator Elizabeth Warren pretends to be an Indian, and, like Senator Cory Booker pretends to be a robe in Roman slave. It didn't happen. There was nothing going on Ohio about the Russians but they want to justify the horrible campaign that Hillary Clinton ran in two thousand sixteen. So they come up with this Russian collusion delusion Badar, ROY, actually said, unchallenged by George Stephanopoulos morning, quote, we were attacked unlike any other time and are two hundred and forty three year history. And we have a president who to acknowledge it in a president who's not been brought to Justice if we were attacked and the spring, summer and fall of two thousand sixteen Danny Gleason, who was the president. He said Millard Fillmore, no wouldn't Miller Fillmore. I think the guy's name was Barack Hussein Obama while the attack was going on Barack Hussein Obama was sitting in the White House. Handling the response to the attack worse than Pearl Harbor. According to beta aerobic and worse than nine eleven. What did? Barack Hussein Obama do of any consequences. Answer is nothing zero zilch NADA because number one it was. No big deal happens all the time. And number two Hillary was gonna win. So he thought in September October, if I do wars things Vladimir Putin, it may cause the median Republicans say some sort of wag the dog scenario therefore, I'm not gonna do anything, if the attack was so bad beta Aurora, what in your guy Barack Hussein Obama responded, the attack, what did FDR do after the attack on December seven hundred forty one way declared war on Japan and Germany after Germany declare war on us, and what did Bush forty-three doing nine eleven after the attack. We, we, we sent thousands of soldiers to have ghanistan and Iraq and we responded to the attack, what did Barack Hussein Obama do after that? Tac. Beta Aurora pretends to be Hispanic. Their is nothing because nothing happened. It was inconsequential. There was at least five hundred million dollars of ads on Facebook. The Russians placed one hundred thousand don't know the percentage, but as well less than ninety nine point nine nine nine nine percent and nothing to do with it. So we have now the Democratic Party calling for the indictment of President Trump and locking him up, according to Nancy Pelosi now when the cry was made in two thousand sixteen locker up Hillary Clinton who committed real crimes who had the real collusion with the Russians. The national median Democratic Party one after hoax clause. What after Republicans and Trump the same thing is now happening. And the national media is sparking those comments by George Stephanopoulos and others, incentivizing encourage and payment preceding and felony criminal indictments the day after he leaves office. That's what the southern district of Ohio southern district of New York and the state of New York is looking into and dight the president quickly upon his vacation from office one way or another. That self sick things are. That's where we are. Secondly, I also note that an extreme left-wing socialist. I don't know how the good citizens of Michigan, many homeless, and to me, every Sunday night on WJR and elsewhere democrat retreated to leave proposes a disastrous cash giveaway and guess is gonna pay for it. Socialists congresswoman part of the HAMAs coalition in the house, or she needed to leave has released a plan on Sunday morning, that would pay lower and middle income, Americans thousands and thousands of dollars every month. Essentially individuals will be paid anywhere between three and six thousand dollars per month tax free three thousand individuals six thousand families, you would would be paid up to fifty thousand for an individual if you make less than one hundred thousand for a family. She's going to pay you up to six thousand dollars per year at a cost of trillions and trillions of dollars for starters giving money to those unwilling to work would discourage them from finding a job or working more hours or applying for promotion or going back to school to retool or how about a second or third job. Why work harder or even at all if the government's going to send you a check on condition that you don't work when you pay for something you get more of it? When did tax you get less of it? Secondly, according to the US department of labor, there's currently seven point five million job openings in. America today that go unfilled, because those jobs have individuals applying or not applying that are qualified for the work. How many millions would be available if people were encouraged by the government to cut back their hours, not work at all that seven point five million might become ten million or twenty million, why work if the government pays you not to work, but socialist, like you know, Bernie Sanders doesn't see things this way. Secondly. As any undergraduate student in economics will tell you flooding the market with cash would quickly cause prices of all sorts for consumer goods to rise as the law of supply and demand. That is if there's more cash chasing limited products, the cost of those products would go up. So the benefits would be negated in imagine this, the situation gets worse. Let's say you're an individual like my producer, Danny Gleeson making around fifty five thousand dollars per year. If he would qualify for the payments under congressman till as program. The higher prices that he would be paying wouldn't a gate or eliminate the benefits of getting the check in the third place. Also under her plan millions and millions of Americans in college or universities, or graduate schools law schools, medical schools, certain electricity and plumbing training programs at cetera. Really on in poverty, and don't need the money would get the money anyway. So if you're nineteen twenty years old, and you're an adult and say your mom and dad are millionaires, but you personally and you're an adult your parents have new duty to support you. You could apply and get six thousand dollars, six thousand dollars a month free. It's unbelievable. And of course who's going to pay for it. Of course, she said, just tax, the rich right now, rich people like my producer, Danny Gleeson. The top one percent pay forty percent. The top fifty percent. Pay ninety six percent of the taxes are ready. We have. Have the tax system presently that the socialist Democrats want to employ we have it already because of earning come tax credits and other things that character that we have the programs they already do, and instead of killing what this would kill the incentive of millions of Americans to work, and, and it's obvious that you can't buy off votes by promising checks, to people for not working when they're seven point five million jobs right now that go unfilled because workers are not incentivized to work. It is very easy to get section eight housing. It's very easy to get food stamps. It's very easy to get government benefits. And so under this program in addition, all these other benefits and addition section eight housing and addition to free food and free, medical care.

Why work harder or even at all if the government's going to send you a check on condition that you don't work when you pay for something you get more of it? When detects you get less of it. Secondly, according to the US department of labor, there's currently seven point five million job openings in. America today that go unfilled, because those jobs have individuals applying or not applying that are qualified for the work. How many millions would be available if people were encouraged by the government to cut back their hours, not work at all that seven point five million might become ten million or twenty million, why work at the government pays you not to work, but socialist, like Bernie Sanders doesn't say things this way. Secondly. As any undergraduate student and economics tell you flooding the market with cash would quickly 'cause prices of all sorts for consumer goods to rise as the law of supply and demand. That is there's more cash chasing. Limited products, the cost of those products would go up. So the benefits would be negated and imagine this situation gets worse. Let's say you're an individual like my producer, Danny Gleeson making around fifty five thousand dollars per year. If he would qualify for the payments under congressman Tila program. The higher prices that he would be paying wouldn't a gate or eliminate the benefits. Getting the check in the third place. Also under her plan millions and millions of Americans in college or universities, or graduate schools law schools, medical schools, certain electricity and plumbing training programs at cetera. Really aren't in poverty, and don't need the money would get the money anyway. So if you're nineteen twenty years old, and you're an adult and say your mom and dad are millionaires, but you personally and you're an adult your parents have new duty to support, you, you apply and get six thousand dollars, six thousand dollars a month free. It's unbelievable. And of course who's going to pay for it. Of course, she said, just tax, the rich right now, rich people like my producer, Danny Gleeson. The top one percent pay forty percent. The top fifty percent paid ninety six percent of the taxes already. We have. Have the tax system presently that the socialist Democrats want to employ we have it already because of earned income tax credits and other things that character that we have the programs they already do, and instead of killing what this would kill the incentive of millions of Americans to work. And it's obvious that you can't buy off votes by promising checks to people for not working, when they're seven point five million jobs right now that go unfilled because workers are not incentivized to work. It is very easy to get section eight housing. It's very easy to get food stamps, very easy to get government benefits. And so this program in addition to all these other benefits and addition section eight housing and addition to free food and free, medical care under Medicaid, and other government programs. You'd get six thousand dollars a month and addition all that..

"And so during the entire time there wasn't one news Article No television report. There was nothing on the internet whatsoever discernible by anybody in Ohio, or Michigan or Pennsylvania about the Russians are coming. The Russians are coming. It was a bunch of crap, thin that's a bunch of crap now, so, to have beta Aurora who pretends to be Spanich much like, Kamala, Harris pretends to be African American and Senator Elizabeth Warren pretends to be an Indian, and, like Senator Cory Booker pretends to be a Rovan Roman slave. It didn't happen. There was nothing going on in Ohio about the. Russians. But they want to justify the horrible campaign that Hillary Clinton ran in two thousand sixteen so they come up with US Russian collusion delusion Badar, Rourke, actually said unchallenged by George Stephanopoulos this morning, quote, we were attacked unlike any other time and are two hundred and forty three year history. And we have a president who yet to acknowledge it in a president who's not been brought to Justice if we were attacked and the spring, summer and fall of two thousand sixteen Danny Gleason, who was the president. He said Millard Fillmore, no wouldn't Miller Fillmore. I think that guy's name was Barack Hussein Obama while the attack was going on Barack Hussein Obama was sitting in the White House. Handling the response to the attack worse than Pearl Harbor. According to beta aerobic and worse than nine eleven. What did? Barack Hussein Obama do of any consequence. Answer is nothing zero zilt NADA because number one it was. No big deal happens all the time. And number two Hillary was gonna win. So he thought in September October, if I do more things that Vladimir Putin, it may cause the median Republicans to say some sort of wag the dog scenario therefore, I'm not gonna do anything, if the attack was so bad Bater Aurora, what in your guy Barack Hussein Obama responded the attack, what did FDR do after the attack on December seven hundred and one where declared war on Japan and Germany after Germany declared war on us, and what did Bush forty-three doing nine eleven after the attack. We, we, we sent thousands of soldiers to have ghanistan and Iraq and we responded to the attack, what did Barack Hussein Obama do after that TAC? Beta Aurora pretends to be Hispanic. There is nothing because nothing happened. It was inconsequential. There was at least five hundred million dollars of ads on Facebook. The Russians placed one hundred thousand don't know the percentage, but as well as the ninety nine point nine nine nine nine percent, had nothing to do with it. So we have now the Democratic Party calling for the indictment of President Trump and locking him up, according to Nancy Pelosi now when the cry was made in two thousand sixteen locker up Hillary Clinton who committed real crimes who had the real collusion with the Russians. The national median Democratic Party, one after hoax had clause, what after Republicans and Trump the same thing is now happening..

"A construction in direct violation of the grammar and context of the constitution, and he really lashes out, and then others pylons John McCain of New York makes a motion to strike the word president and replace it with vice president now exercise and be office of president. So this goes on for for months of Benchley the wise amendment passes, but it's never really bought into for John Tyler's entire presidency. He's called the great usurper. He's called his accidents. He for the rest of his life. He returns letters on opened that are addressed to him as vice president acting as president, and he ends up really quarreling with the party. So the Whigs end up formally kicking Tyler out of the party after he vetos second Bank Bill. So he ends up not just the first accidental president. He ended up as a president without a party, and like all accidental presidency becomes obsessed with the idea of winning the election in his own, right? So he realizes that only pass to winning the presidency in eighteen forty four is to throw a wrench in the public discourse. And he decides to make it a wrench over Texas and covertly annexes, Texas, which were Sipa tastes war with Mexico, which does more accelerate the civil war than anything else that had happened to that date. Now, the precedent that Tyler sets in eighteen forty one is very important. Because even as recently as Lyndon Johnson Lyndon Johnson becomes president in nineteen sixty three based on precedent set by John Tyler in eighteen forty one. I think it stocking that it was not that long after John Tyler that Zachary Taylor dies and Millard Fillmore ascends to the presidency without any of the controversy that Tyler faced becoming president just because John Tyler asserted himself in that manner. That's. And this is this is interesting because I think in some respects, it's a it's it's surprising that there's as much controversy and debate around Tyler's surfing that he's president yet. When a second wig general dies in eighteen fifty and the presidency falls to fill more that there's no there's no debate about this. And there's no debate about it when any other, you know, future vice president becomes president. So the Tyler precedent holds very carefully. What's interesting? Tyler is nearly killed in an explosion on board the USS Princeton in eighteen forty four. The explosion was an accident while they were firing a state of the art gun called the peacemaker in tribute to George Washington as they sailed past Vernon but it killed half the cabinet and more senior officials than any other moment in US history. And it would have killed John Tyler had he not been downstairs below deck. Flirting with somebody who is more interested in the captain's son but had Tyler been killed in that explosion. There's a real question about whether the precedent. He set would've held. But of course, he survives. And it happens seamlessly when Taylor dies, of course, that transition is not seamless because Miller Fillmore takes the oath of office. And the first thing that he does at the most polarized moment in American history. Is he sacks the entire cabinet? Absolutely. We so we have a case of to exit presidents, John Tyler and Millard Fillmore who are not considered among the most successful US presidents. In fact, there routinely in the bottom ten to fifteen list, but they were followed by a real winner. And that's injured Johnson who became the third accidental president to take office when with the assassination of ABRAHAM LINCOLN. You write in your book that with Johnson's ascension. What happened was one of the great missed opportunities in American history talk through that what did injure Johnson get wrong? You know, it would be easy to look at how we wing presidential succession, and we were so casual about it and say that, you know, we ended up pretty lucky they were kind of a mixed bag somewhere some somewhere extrordinary others. Average, but that would neglect the reality of Andrew Johnson. So introducing it's thrown onto the ticket in eighteen sixty four because Lincoln fully expects to lose that election and back, then the president and choose the running mate. But Lincoln thought the election was important enough that he was involved in a secret intrigue. Swap out Hannibal Hamlin for Andrew Johnson because he needed a war democrat from a border state and Johnson, the only southern Senator stay loyal to the union with enormously popular in the.

"Play. Every day in my apartment by fling the door open. It's quite a yellow bitch. That is exactly. Would j what were you going to say? Oh, remember, if you could travel back in time, where would you go where would you go? What would you do just to be an observer, not change it? But just being go back to you know, when Jesus be born. Okay. So they can come back and be like told you. For the win. Luther is all about it. Well, I don't wanna go down that trail because I could be a fun conversation to get interesting. I give you my best part question. Come this to you? If you could shoot out a different liquid from every finger on your hand, you got five liquid. You can shoot out you're crazy heat. And this is an something's off. Like, I can't believe you're not married. Such random hot girl in the corner. Jay. Risky. Well, I can tell you what would shoot out of this thing. Have you choose tell you why this question. Yeah. Good question because I feel like so much of the time we go on auto pilot when you meet people because if you like most people that are bad at remembering names, it's like, hey, what's your name? Bob. I don't care moving on with my life. Label box auto pyrite thing. I don't really like asking people what they do for a living anymore because they're excited. I'm excited. I like when people are stoked about him. But if they're like, I'm a mid level accountant. I don't care. Let's move. So I'm like, okay. We think about ghosts. Let's talk about ghosts money. Raise the five fingers thing people, they get this bug. I look, and then if they if they'll join me onto might when our we have a real conversation. I'm going to see how your brain works. Let's see. Okay. So whiskey has come right thumb. You suck a specific vintage. I mean, you know, with whiskey Brown liquid, you know, right now index finger because that's your okay nice. That's good talking to the microphone say this. You're going to have a really good night out of the Mark. Steve getting getting wasted and Milton faces. Can think about what comes out of that one? Out assuming sperm. The asks on his arguments mixed up redefining biology. We don't have to have sex to have babies I gotta middle finger. There. It is somebody helped me, I don't know. After that. I'm gonna so cotton. I feel a gasoline quite help. That'd be guessing. You just be standing there by your car right there by that probably healthy to have some water water's good idea. I mean me so soup. I feel like Mesa soup. Your finger five water, whiskey and be so soup. I can live anywhere in the world. And I'm perfectly fine. You could drop me off at a desert, and I'm okay. My stupid brain goes to vodka tequila. Rum beer. A mobile hatted bar at that. Exactly. Great call me Alexander zioka taste that would that. Would that would be really good superheroes? The walking liquor camp. We just do a halt. We could do a whole Long Island sweet tea right here. Just put all my fingers in the glass and fill it up. All we need is a coke. I love it. That's a great party question Heaton, leave it to heat and come up with stuff this. Oh what what time period? Would you? Go back to party foul on a pretty good day yesterday. You don't remember it? I wish you could go back yesterday and just observe yourself. How you were all captured on film. Pretty good. Wait Jade, how about you. If I was just observing because I know it's been rough for females for a long time, which I think it's funny that females complain so much now when we've come quite a fire I wanna repeal suffrage. I really. I have if I was just there to see I would like the medieval era. Yeah. That's always been very winch. Yeah. I think that's a very romantic era. Oh, Jesus cry. They asked was what I how I felt I wanted to romantic alright he'll back to Bill Clinton's office when Monica visited back to. SE erotic thing. Clinton, and Monica Lewinsky, that's where you're gonna go. You just want to see if it really happened. Oh, it really. Dress me see what did I t's? Okay. So we have this saying around here. Steve gets his news from memes Steve gets all of his news for memes. So we're going to we're going to we're going to get a t shirt. Herbert would probably go back to when he had a body. That's a good deal though. History is fascinating. The I enjoy it. It disturbs me though that we have so much revisionist the winners. Get to tell the story first of all the winters get to tell the story. And how that's interpreted from the winners standpoint and viewpoint. You're not gonna remember my father who was stationed in Germany back in the sixties, mid sixties. Any army? He was the core of engineers. And was fortunate enough not have to go to Vietnam. But he can remember going in German homes, and they still had pictures of that off Hitler, really because in their mind. He was a great leader. Wow. Okay. So sixties because the sixties this is enough to win years after you know, he committed suicide. So so, yeah, it's it's it's weird. How people interpret? Yeah. Their history, it's like my. So I went to college in history. And it was also it was it was interesting because it gives you these sort of mental frameworks to realize that people think about things differently like like doing history, if you take the election between Grover Cleveland and McKinley. I'm not sure let's say those two guys ran against each other. I don't remember the for whatever reason there's kind of like range of people with really good facial nineteen hundred eighteen eighty to nineteen hundred I don't actually know anybody. And like if you're if you're a Marxist, then you would look back and go, well, then I'm gonna look for economic. Economic signifies. I'm going to look back and go, you know, what were the what was the average income in the United States that time that kind of thing or you might look and go, well, I'm where religious oriented. So I wanna look and see where there people that was a surprise versus Catholic thing was the secular versus Christian thing were maybe I'm I think it's ideological and it's more. We were they, you know, classical liberal or were they were they progressive, and you can you can begin to see these filters that people put on things, and I find that. That's a very helpful skill set to have particularly when you get into a Vincent in day where you can go. Okay. 'cause I'm when I look at the news, I might be approaching it from very different lens in somebody else's and helps them figure out what they're talking about. When I realized that they've got this very specific mindset that they're bringing to it. Mckinley got shot nineteen. Foot story with McKinley. And this is probably made up, but I like I've been tour guide and three cities. I was a got gotten Edinburgh to guy in Washington DC and for one day in New York, and in DC the story that I've talked about with McKinley was McKinley got shot. And I believe he got shot by a disgruntled guy that hadn't he wanted. He wanted to become postmaster Jasim postmaster McKinley is shot. And and it's not it's probably not gonna kill him. He's probably okay. Like, he's these tough guys back, then these are all like, you know, like civil war vets. And they they bring him to the hospital and they call the smartest. Scientists of the day. Who is who's the guy that invented the lightbulb Edison, Edison? Thank you. So they bring it out supposedly there. Yeah. You know, the the one we know right here the bringing Thomas Edison, because he invented the very first medal sector, and so they brought an Edison to to bring his medal and locate the bullet in the most incredibly specific and targeted way, you could do ten logically. So he brings his. Thing in like, you know, there it is. They dig it out. And they're like good job. Everybody is like hold on. Let's do another pass in case. The the lead fractured. So another pass. And yet there's so us. Okay. There's still more lead in there guys keep going and they keep doing export torture. They can't find anything. They another pass being keep doing sports or surgery this point. They're all like, you know, risk deepen the president's guts looking for this thing. And he's I'm sorry it somewhere in there. You gotta find they keep doing this. And then. After forty minutes of the back of the room goes, excuse me. Mr. Edison, the fact that the president's on a metal cot with the issue here today, just president McKinley with his technology. Yep. So Edison Edison killed McKinley. But but that was to your point. I mean, it's like everything is kinda tainted and filtered the whole thing. And it's it's a crazy thing. It's in. That's. By the way, on that point before we go any further because we've said this in a recent episode Millan Millard Fillmore had to have the most integrity of any president. Ever twice. Everybody's favorite president. Everybody loves Miller Fillmore Millard Fillmore in the middle of the podcast and every body in the room was like who he was fifty. This pecker head googled it.

"Let's say points on the out. So when John Quincy Adams became president, his father wrote him note, that's his father John Adams who had been president. And wrote him a note that said no friend would wish the presidency on any friend of his. So basically we have a trend here. Yeah. Even Donald Trump was asked in like a forum at liberty university or something if you could go back in time and into your twenty five year old self give some advice. What would it be don't run for president? I don't think people really enjoy being president. It's a horrible job. Yeah. I know there's no I think the I mean the whole point is to be miserable. No, the whole point is it's to serve right? I mean, obviously, there's a lot of appeal. Yes. Let's discuss James. We can sure. So because he really has considered the worst. Now. He yeah. So the heard that women say. Near treason, but you saw treason in terms of the south United States. You know what I mean? Well, it sounded to me like maybe what she was implying was that he was guilty of treason for not protecting protecting the United States United states as as a pole. Yes. Yeah. Worse would be not protecting that states from. I don't know Rasha. I'm serious. I mean, that's a whole nother herbs. How cool is it that we've had a gay president too bad? He was the worst ever. I mean, really that's not fully convinced that that's not a factor in some people dislike him so much. Your home. That is the complete opposite. They listed there reasons. He was you know, he. Yes, he had. No, look, I mean, sure, no spine. Okay. So I think it's really easy to look at someone in hindsight who is living in a moment. That is unprecedented. Right. I mean, I I mean, there's there's no you can't fall back on any prior experience, right leg. Visit never happened before the country was Lee itself apart. And now, I'm not I'm not excusing this guy. But I don't know. We've had like think about our history. You know, starting with Washington we were a literally a baby country. Yeah. We had to get off our feet and like that was a difficult time. I'm sure. Yeah. Washington wasn't was another extrordinary individual. Yeah. Okay. We had World War wine roller to the civil war war of eighteen twelve. Yeah. We've had Vietnam which did not go. No not handled. Well, again, going back to JFK just to remind him. The reason we had troops on the ground. You know, what it visors? You're just a southern I I love hating on JFK. I want to point out though. So we've mentioned these literally with the exception of GW be who we all know why he's included. He's included because the war in Iraq. We started very expensive started under false pretenses. Yeah. I would include the especially after seeing the movie vice you really understand the he was totally subservient to his vice president, which is never good. I mean, Dick Cheney was oh. The guy in the shadows behind that government one thing to point out the okay Miller Fillmore Franklin Pierce Johnson. They were all horrible presidents for reasons, you know, whether it was a compromise of eighteen fifty being bullied into the Kansas Nebraska act, something like that big decisions that had bad, you know, consequences, but they all kind of you know, tried, and they are, you know, like, James Buchanan. Terrible president. But he had been secretary of state Senator. He he was smart he stayed up really late trying to learn stuff. Yeah. In go. Well that leads us to today. And it's just I just want to point out kind of the difference. My whole life has been about winning. I'm not I'm not like so many other people that you talked to that are essentially losers..

"Unlucky number thirteen. Millard Fillmore was an accidental president some have called him the Gerald Ford of his day. Considered so unremarkable a Millard Fillmore society used together annually at his gravesite to lamp Woon his forgotten presidency. He was a rather strong president considering the fact that he was a accidental president and not and those presents always have a difficult time establishing their their Mark. Millard Fillmore hadn't even met Zachary Taylor until after they were elected seen as Taylor's opposite Fillmore was picked merely to balance the ticket geographically and politically. Fillmore was a northerner an affable man who was always dressed impeccably. He was a bookworm and a hands off manager. He aim to please. And appease rather than lead. He was a kind of colorless character who believed in compromise deferred to congressional leadership. According to most observers planned friendly willing to make you feel that you had said something important and just generally fitting in. And yet behind this amiable personality lurked Amand with backbone. Bitter feeling overlooked by Taylor's cabinet, fill more fired all of them. Fillmore continued to exert his newfound power by reversing the policy of his predecessor and signing the compromise of eighteen fifty into law. The most. No, I'm in now, and I'm going to change the government's policy. Taylor was all wrong about the compromise of eighteen fifty. Fillmore supported slavery because he believed it's listen would lead to a collapse of the southern economy. Sixty percent of US exports came out of the cotton states by eighteen sixty situa Bala Schleyer was to abolish an economic system. Fillmore also believed that slavery was protected by the constitution and that by signing the compromise. He would somehow put the issue to rest forever. What he failed to grasp where the moral consequences, and he blamed abolitionists for making slavery an issue. He was totally opposed to the abolitionist thought they were troublemakers fanatics. Fillmore was content with the compromise because he thought it would preserve the status quo for some. However, it only served to strengthen their resolve against slavery. By supporting the compromise Fillmore hope to please everyone. But instead he ended up pleasing no-one, including members of his own party. In the election of eighteen fifty to the Whigs wouldn't renominated. So Phil Moore went home to buffalo leaving behind one of the most forgettable presidencies in American history. Millard Fillmore my man what an exciting guy so an accidental president. So as I mentioned Zachary Taylor, they hadn't met until they were elected. That is really crazy. What I mean? Yeah. I mean, I also one has to think I mean, you know, that's a product of the times they lived in. Well, I know that like way back, you know, in times of Hamilton and Jefferson and whatnot. The vice president was just whoever lost. Yeah. Which is crazy as well. Can you imagine vice-president Hillary Clinton this motherfucker getting a prize for actually that'd be great? That would be in this nation. That would be great. So Miller Fillmore his big problem was he backed that compromise of eighteen fifty which allowed slavery spread that was his big otherwise he was just he tried to. Appease everyone could appease anyone he thought that slavery ending slavery would cause the southern economy to collapse that was his thinking with each of these presidents. I want to understand the thinking behind their horrible decisions..
