"On archive of Bob Dylan's correspondence and papers. Belonging to the late blues artist Tony Glover. Sold at auction. This week. For $495,000. Wow. You mean I could sell my work papers for $400,000? No, I don't mean that at all. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, you think it would indicate the opposite of that? I got a stack of I'm here. Uh, Glover died last year at the age of 79. Was a Minnesota based harmonica player and also a contributor to Rolling Stone magazine. He befriended Dylan at a very young age and remained active in the local seen over the years. He jammed with the doors, the Allman Brothers. Patti Smith back He even toured, tutored Mick Jagger on harmonica. And when Dylan played the Newport Folk Festival in 1963, the poem he contributed to the program was dedicated to Mr Glover, whom he called a best friend in the highest form. As such, Glover's material is of high value to Dylan ologists. Yes, there are such things. Among its treasures is a hand written note. 1962 containing unseen lyrics concerning a trip Bob Dylan and Mr Glover took to a took the visit Woody Guthrie. In Brooklyn when he was in the hospital there. Uh, this ultimately became the origin of song Woody on Dylan's first album. Another letter Dylan wrote to his friend was penned just after he first met the Beatles. John Lennon groovy also Ringo, the letter says. And a big highlight is a 47 page. Interview transcript between Mr Glover and Bob Dylan Hand annotated by Dylan in 1971. One revelation is that Bob Dylan wrote the song Lay Lady Lay You Remember That one? Yeah. For Barbra Streisand. That's not one of my favorites is not one of my favorites, but he he wrote it for Barbra's Pricegrabber Streisand. Yeah, I can't picture her, saying that. Maybe just right for her to sing it or it's about her. It's unclear, but I think it's here. But I think what it means is that it's about her. I was going to say I can't picture Barbra Streisand singing a song about the Lady Lane lay across my big brass bed. What are some of the other ones and that song that would it be Les Buddy lay know what they do Delay. What are some of the other lines carried you remember? Oh, I should because it was in heavy rotation at a country station that I worked at of all things. They were trying an approach with modern country and quite and that Dylan was kind of going through a country sort of a country for days for a while. Stay with your man. And why you stay with your man and well, I'm just trying to see if I can Years. I will find them for you. Okay. We'll see if we can find Barbara Streisand in those lyrics about her and not for her, eh? So how likely are you to get originally I found it here, okay? Originally written for the soundtrack for Midnight, Cowboy. Oh, it's you! Which what? She didn't have anything to do with no Yeah, I'm looking at the lyrics. Uh, read some of my own. Let's see Lay across my big breasted Whatever colors you have in your mind. I show them to you and you see them shine. Stay with your man A while until the break of day. Let me see you make him smile. His clothes are dirty, but his hands are clean and you are the best thing that he's ever seen. Okay, It's I think Barbie's price and didn't she do? She did a record that had was called colors. So how about a baby? This could be Dr Angela done, state epidemiologist. Says, Uh She has a tool to help you assess the risk of catching covert 19 at Thanksgiving dinner. I don't is the tool if you don't have a Thanksgiving dinner that you're good, And if you do, Mrs Thank you might not be good, Gina. You're kind of making our state epidemiologist. Angela don't seem like an idiot. No, I'm just according to she made a chart. Well, there's a chart created by the Georgia Institute of Technology. There's a 54% chance that one person has covert 19 at a gathering of 15 people in Salt Lake County. Utah County. There's a 59%. Chance. That at least one person has Cove in 19. Miller County has the lowest So don't have if you gotta have Thanksgiving dinner with somebody don't have dinner, Thanksgiving dinner with the family and Miller County. Just pick one out. Just pick wound. According to the Utah Department of Help. Um You. Ah. You you. The seven day average for positive test was 3310 per day. Um, so I don't know what the exact tool is here doesn't really go into it in the story that I'm reading about Angela Dunn's, but but I guess that's the tool. Is that you just look at the percentages. And if you want to have dinner Thanksgiving dinner here in Salt Lake County. There's a 54 per chance sent chance that you'll get over it. Right. And that means people coming to your house who look fine. Sound fine. Feel fine, And they could bring covert and not even know they're doing it. Did you see this bizarre story? They're so there were they were doing what they call the Uh, sheep count in a remote part of Utah. Utah Highway Patrol posted a photo of this While they were doing this this sheet count, they go out and just try and figure out how many you know free range sheep there are in a certain area. They discovered a curious metallic looking object in the middle of nowhere during account of the bighorn sheep. According to the Post, the item was buried in the middle of nowhere. Utah Highway Patrol is asking the public what they think it is. It's a like a metallic. Model with peace, and it's just aliens. That's it. Well, that's what it's like Aliens left now No alien craft have been officially reported in that area. But nothing can be ruled out. It's a piece of sheet metal really shiny and just Sitting there out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. No, nobody knows why. Let's see. Oh, this is.

"Don sure you cooked up some some filet mignon from windy Barbie Few? How laws tonight? How was his incredibly amazing It really is, as you see, tasty, thick mouth watering. All the right words was just beautiful man. Put in the smoker with a little bit of tide of Don show seasoning. You saw it in the smoker then and then I put it out and on a hot pan a real hot pan just for a flash. That's get that sear just just for a flash at the end and just covered it in in some butter. Yeah, hold my good You did a reverse here On be honest with you. It was. It was like meat flavored cotton candy just melting in my mouth. It's whole new territory. Starting today, A new statewide guidelines allow several All industries to expand capacity to 75%, including retail stores, restaurants, museums, libraries, gymnasiums, office buildings and all manufacturing. So I love to hear from some folks out there this morning. Are you being called back to your office? What do you think about that would rather stay home a little bit longer? What? Your concerns. Are you eager to get back into the office? I'm sure there's a myriad of reaction to the about those gymnasiums. They've been not full, but at 50%, and maybe not even at 50% at times. Libraries museums up to 75% of we've heard from a couple of business owners this morning, including Skeeter Miller County Line failed Brown from the Vince Young Steakhouse talking about that 75% capacity. Which is really kind of insulting, and I just hadn't thought of it this way. I mean, you think it's 75% capacity, you can have 75% of your Ah, You know, whatever your capacity is for. You know the fire code. You can have that many in there. But that's just not true. What With With the social distancing moving tables further apart. You're not ableto have as many people as you did before. Yeah, they might be able to offer you more. But so it's really not 75% is it knows it's really not. And so it's kind of a smoke and mirrors kind of thing. Air just its words, and it's It's just Ah. Ear candy and whatever it's it's. Why does the governor continue to push this? Even though the numbers in 19 of the 22 hospital regions air fine the numbers that data says we should be opening up because when he did it last time, the numbers exploded around the state. And way had real spike very, very quickly, And I think he's just being extra careful. But the thing is, we're to the point Now where we got it. We understand we are going to where the mass we are going to wash our hands. We know what to do. If you don't know what to do by now, I don't know what to tell you. But just because they open up to 75% does not mean that 70. Know that they're gonna have 75 or can do 75. When we go to 100%. It's not going to be 100% if we still have the distancing thing, right? I mean, if you restaurant has 10 tables on a normal pre covert day, and you're down, Toa You know, only eight tables or seven tables. Well, you're not getting up to 75% of your total capacity. Yeah, you know what I mean? Right? That's only about six tables, but I'll say it again if they go, 100% 75% whatever, folks, you have got to get out and get in there. And you've got to help these local businesses out Just because they say you can have 75% now doesn't mean that people are going to flock to it. Ugo you wouldn't You agree with the governors approach to this now? I don't especially with the bars. No, it's it's time to be all open up. We've been at this for six months. Now we know howto most of us know how to behave and those that don't you've made it. You made a choice to be an idiot. And, you know, good luck in all your future endeavours. Now the problem is, and I agree and disagree with you on the bars because not all bars. Are equal. No, they're not. I mean, a shot bar on sixth Street. Where 300 College kids we're going in just to do shots and play a little grab. But you know what I'm talking about, Just chasing girls and chasing boys. Yeah, that's different. Then sitting at a picnic table at White Stone Brewery and seed upon having a quiet beer. Yeah, which a different environment. It's a different scenario. It's a different setting. And so not all bars of the same. You know, the fact that restaurants can can do what they're doing, but you can't sit at the picnic table in it at White Stone, or where've you maybe and have a quiet beer with friends. It's illogical is going to be a way to determine the difference between the two. Yeah. There There is, or, ah, that the just the the shot bars is we're calling them are, you know monitored. Those are the ones you focus on leap white stone in like alone. Leave them alone. Sure, focus on where the problems were. Don't have no problem with encouraging to sell more food. That's fine. But don't don't don't Don't put your focus home where the problem is not put focus where it is, and we know exactly what that is listed. The Austin Transportation Department Be in stalling a permanent protected bicycle lanes this week on Congress Avenue between Riverside Drive and 11 streets. Now, remember, this was put in place because of the pandemic, So this is kind of pandemic inspired, but I'll I'll be honest with you..

S. to step in and help the backdrop do you remember is rising tension in Hong Kong there were big protests that started about a year ago with people already angry about these perceived to M. encroachments by Beijing on Hong Kong's liberties in on the rights of Hong Kong people and pump AO said the national security law was basically the latest in a series of moves by Beijing that strip on call of its freedoms and autonomy right and practically speaking what are the consequences of this move by palm Pat what would it mean for Hong Kong yeah it's all signaling actually at this point we we haven't seen the national security law out of Beijing yet and that could take a few months to be put into effect by the tensions are rising between US and China across a bunch of different areas and we sort of cross the Rubicon with this if if the White House picks up the baton the president could impose sanctions on Chinese officials for instance by blocking their assets in the U. S. or revoking were blocking visas to the U. S. the U. S. could also remove Hong Kong special customs treatment status rendering it effectively and yet just another Chinese city when it comes to trade and eat remember the still a trade war going on with China so I'm going to get roped into that it's potentially huge and all of it could potentially undermine Hong Kong's status as a finance and trade hub I mean at this point ministration officials will only say that you know all options are on the table all right that is NPR's John group which reporting there on the latest with Hong Kong and China and the U. S. secretary of state thank you John thank you to another story now California has partnered with charities for a first of its kind effort to help undocumented workers who've been economically harmed by the pandemic the limited relief fund is for those in the country without authorization who have been left out of federal and most state relief but as NPR's Eric Westervelt reports the effort has gotten off to a rocky start because a virus related health concerns as well as deportation fears there are no in person or online applications for this aid money it's all processed through phone lines and they've been overloaded hi may an immigrant from El Salvador didn't want his full name used due to his undocumented status he works in southern Californian stalling heating and air conditioning units he says he's tried unsuccessfully all day all week to get through if W. look it up with me that that that by the end of the year on the Alamo man I feel like the opportunity goes away every day the funds are running lower every day and no one picks up my call I wonder what I'm doing wrong how can I get them to answer my call across the state the reports are similar phone lines are dropping anxiety is rising the money five hundred dollars per adult and a thousand Max per family is being doled out on a first come first served basis until the taxpayer funded seventy five million for this program runs out hi man his wife and two children eight and five years old are scared since March he's only had sporadic work then work stopped completely more than two weeks ago he hasn't had income all month his children are U. S. citizens so they would qualify for food stamps and some other aid with honey says he's never tried to tap government assistance until now the luck with your new year with a lot of the poor north rim one book yes the situation keeps going much longer for who knows how much longer I don't know what I'll do but I know it will get much harder for me applicants have to show they're not eligible for federal pandemic relief or unemployment and if they've been economically harmed by the shut down California partnered with a dozen immigrant rights and nonprofit groups to distribute the money they're having to wear multiple hats I T. troubleshooter counselor and adviser and it's been challenging there's an overwhelming need so as expected there is very very high levels of calls that are coming in and our technology is trying to keep up loose guy goes is with.

"Show with yes did your well if you were like soon as your around here and never do a little work well it's I'm not thrilled that it is me today and I was identified or one of us was identified as rocky last Thursday night so it's nice to actually be sitting in a seat I got my old buddy film work the welcome thank you let's get on with it as we always do here Tuesday at this time our friend she still Tonya award how are you yes we I think consistent let's keep that in mind this was important I think there's a little bit of consistency all together I I am consistently inconsistent so you think that is my lack of appeal in a nut shell you know it if you were guessing then yes ratter so let's see I'm a serious September second and talk about your I. team report this week I mean you guys are deep dive on on this free station I can I can say oh my gosh this is perhaps three of the very best journalists in this building and maybe and all of them kannadi I have spent three months along with support staff working on that investigating this literally crunching numbers looking you know drawing maps ruling so many documents there is no way on god's green planet I could ever do that and so I applaud them one hundred percent because some of the stuff that they have on covered at a Catholic myself makes me just go on three months right and the last thing we had a story on about how you know you know sometimes the Catholic Church the archdiocese will say you know the priest thank you there were too many allegations against you you you're not really the preacher the problem is they aren't indicted or you know prosecuted in any manner because it's not that that's not the route the Catholic Church will go into these folks can get jobs working perhaps at other schools and other churches that typing in this case and up and up to school church of the music director and because they you know when you do a background check if there's no criminal complaint Hey you're you're good to work with kids so what do you know what so that's one element we have by the way every night this week except Friday eleven o'clock we have a different aspect of the story and each and every one of them is mind blowing later tonight I don't know if you if you thought online yet but we talk we talk about and they talk about the I. T. does all these priests are moved right then I wanted to hit with the a Tonya they get there it's kind of surreptitious yeah it sure feels that way and they really did a lot of digging they drew like all kinds of lines so they they figured out how many priests had been there had been at for example elder is a you know a school on the east side all of these different schools and we tell you elder has had the most and if you are on line chat tire bar graph showing how many priests at each school had credible allegations against them and had been moved and and it seems to me now I and more on the west side Dan say like St Mary's or our lady of I deleted lord and lady of king's in amount not look out eight it's like why are they did say you know not that anyone should get restored to the stuff but why did more seem to be centered in certain areas than others it's really and truly is mind boggling how the move them why the move then and you know I think it's a wonderful thing that people have the power to forgive but we're going on people who are accused of of molesting children of abusing children and I don't know if moving them to another church I mean that's something that I do but getting into another church with that in Cincinnati or any no around Cincinnati or you know another portion of the area or further out further out and some of them got moved over and also had they been quote unquote rehabilitated or are they just okay you can't be there anymore now you're going to go here that's a question that I again I will have to watch with you to find out the answer to that I don't know and I think some people would say to you there is no rehabilitation for about a file but you know I don't know if I don't know how deep they get into the rehabilitation part but they certainly go through like we're all these folks Gallo and where they're moved to and it's and why are they being moved to these one why even the question would be in if as a parent of kids who went to Catholic school that would be me you know whatever they moved to the school what what either we kind of thing with father true and I believe although I have to confirm this with a focus on the I came when the whole other true thing came out that would occur in the spring or early summer and you member this guide to the scene on the names yeah and he's currently being prosecuted inhaling county for alleged sexual abuse prior to becoming a priest when he was music director at a church and so that'll allegation came forward after he'd been denied and that like and then there were some something that came out with a Max Maximilian Kolbe of it made sense and then there was the of those folks are saying Hey we knew there was something weird about him in our psyche just never reported online to the schools like saying alright he went the same night and they didn't say oh by the way we're monitoring and like mujer the prosecutor of Miller county had even though he couldn't bring charges against creative thing there was credible enough charges to bring against him there or when he's at the Max is said to the archdiocese you better keep a close eye on this one no they didn't well let himself monitor and so I guess it does go to your question is already rehabilitated well they're told to self monitor what it takes to we will not right and they think Hey just let us know when you're doing that routine that's really really bad again just let us know yeah blood yourself right exactly well I mean a dream come true for someone is doing something wrong well here's my question I've I'm a Catholic school grow my whole life Catholic school raised a Catholic student but my question I've watched enough alone order to know things like statute of limitations I mean pride these rifles names and these things are out there what is keeping prosecutors from going back in and saying okay well we now have a case we're going to make sure this person never has the opportunity to do that again it's out there and I'm so glad you brought that up because it's a nice story eleven talk about how they move these priests right and it is on believe I've not seen the stories I read the online article we don't see those in advance we watch him with you guys but tomorrow is about exactly that hello hi lawmakers want extend civil and criminal statutes the limitations that would make it easier for victims of sexual assault to report crimes into their abusers there's I don't even know how they figure out the statute of limitations are all the things they run on this but if they reported by here than it than the than it extends and someone did one thing once an extended it then and I don't know to this lawmaker is proposing a one time window that would give victims of childhood sexual assault three years three live any civil claim that might be too old already under current law and that could bring forward if that were to pass hundreds of lawsuits I mean that could be insane and and that would potentially could cost the archdiocese of Cincinnati if that were to be true of those were found to be credible I mean end of millions of dollars so loosely and then having sat there Sunday after Sunday after Sunday the church appreciates nothing more than its treasure so it certainly doesn't wanna doesn't want to have to deal with that but but but my I guess my other here's my other question treasure their parishioners alright let's corseted corset yes yeah well I've been I've been and I look at this and this is and I'll tell you this my mom is eighty years old and Catholic current tire life I'm curious to do any of the stories that you have reach into the what effect this sort of thing is having on the oldest of the pressures the ones that are you know out there that have that have believed no matter what everything that they've been told and no matter how many patterns you show them that that or they still staunchly steadfast supporting the church for like my mom going then still gonna make rosaries for the troops but I'm kinda out on the overall preaching you know what I don't know if they if they in their stories go into those things but I will say that and I think you kind of answer this John Popovich is a devout Catholic goes to church every Sunday with his life and he we were talking about this knowing that this I team huge week of these stories are coming up last week and he said you know I've noticed it jumps pacifica in the last three years that attendance is way off in another running commercials to try to get you to come back to the church and you know I mean I'm just speaking for myself here my kids would Catholic school all the way through three told all the way through high school and I need to go a lot more I don't go nearly as much as I used to I do find solace in sometimes I go and not necessarily to church but all sit there in church and light a candle and you know say a prayer like on the day that my mother died or something like that but I don't go to church regularly to my sister goes every weekend I don't know how it having it I mean I can only imagine like your mother it's having an adverse effect because as you said teddy they're running errands let me go I foresee like seven or the store Thursday story he is about local priest who can credibly accused of abuse but they are not on anyway some of the like the mariners have never Marion as of like Purcell Marian which you'll see in the story tonight I have never released a list of credibly accused but some have some of not like say next did a couple years ago you know some orders have certain schools have but there are three credibly accused of abuse no list anywhere to be found but they live right here in Cincinnati area.

Also, not long after the Starks murders, you'll took Peggy to get married in Shreveport, a wife could not be compelled to testify against her husband. Here are some of the things that point to you'll not being the phantom. You will fingerprints did not match any of the latent prints at the Booker, Martin crime-scene Peggy Sweeney. Recanted. Her confession, the Texas Rangers and share of Bill Presley were not convinced that Sweeney was the phantom Sweeney denied being the phantom and never made a confession officers, including Bowie county sheriff Presley Miller county sheriff Davis Texas city chief of police Runnells their officers and both state police departments work day and night for six months trying to validate Peggy Sweeney's story of their whereabouts. They deduce that Peggy was not telling the truth and that on the night of the murder of Booker and Martin. The couple was sleeping in their car. Under a bridge near San Antonio. You will Sweeney was arrested almost two months after the last murders since each took place less than a month apart. It is possible that he was not the killer as he most likely would have moved on somewhere else to continue killing his wife was very young which explains part of her behavior. But they're also must have been something a little off about her as well. Some of the police who took her confession statements said the elevator did not go all the way to the top her bread was not Brown and other sayings like this. So that could mean she was crazy enough to participate in these crimes with you'll or she was crazy enough to make false confessions or she was just odd. Not that you have to be crazy to make false confessions. I do understand how that happens. And it's really sad to see how many have happens because it's just been so hard for people to understand it. But in this case, they all thought something was off about her. I went over everything I learned about you'll and Peggy with someone who is in law enforcement that I know he agreed. It seemed unlikely it was Sweeny. He said, it was definitely possible. Peggy was being led in some parts of her confession letters, especially way, back then whether it was intentional or not also telling the authorities, whatever they wanted to hear, but not the point of signing any of the declarations for some reason this part really bothered him and us then I found out about the letter to her parents I called to tell him. He was right. And here is the clincher. This is a letter from Peggy. He to her parents while she was being held. It comes from the F B I files and is being read as is with uncorrected spelling and grammatical errors. Dear mom, dad and kids will write you again today. How are all of you fine? I hope I guess the sheriff on the Texas side, and that F B I man had been out to the house for they was up to see me yesterday. They still think Sweeney killed those people. I don't know what to do. They don't believe me. So what else can I do? But to tell them that he did it. They will believe ally. If I send Sweeney to the chair that would be on my mind the rest of life for taking his life when he was not the one that kill that little boy and girl on April thirteen I could send him to his chair, then I would be killed that. So and so that you all rented that house from said that we was in the field on. April fourteen that is ally. I wish that dad would have said something to him about it too. I don't think they won't send me to the Penn. But it is Swinney that they are after Mr. Phillip told them some light to I guess, he think if they do away with Sweeney that it would help him to get out and that I would married I wouldn't married him. Now, if I knew I would get out by married him in my books. He don't rate as high as Sweeney does and Sweeney don't rate at all. Mother..
