"It worked out for him. $3 million deal. If somebody falls in your lap, one year, two and a half million, I'm fine with that. I'm fine with that. But I really believe you need to pair Murray for me is just a trusted, reliable backup. You can't go into the season as him as the starter. I don't think that's fair to what you're trying to accomplish. Murray is that insurance policy, a guy you trust, he's a true leader in the locker room. I love it. I just don't want him to be the starter to start the season. If he is, that means I want him to have to beat somebody out, even if it's a young kid. Well, I mean, he'd beat out a 5th or a 6th round pick. Well, it depends on the burst and how Peyton's gonna use this offense because he Peyton has let Murray go before too. I mean, he's not like he's so in love with Murray that he's just gonna give him all the carries. I just believe they need a running back to pair with Murray to get them a bridge to get to javonte Williams. My only concern with Williams is coming off that knee surgery. He runs as I've said this like Batman. Boom, bow, bang. I mean, he's hurting people. He seeks contact. He runs with violent intentions. Can he still have that mindset? He's told me he will, but I don't know that. I got to see it. And if he doesn't, what does that look like then? Because running backs unfortunately and I hate this about the NFL, they're disposable. They are fungible pieces, but I would draft someone late. If someone falls into my lap at free agency on the cheap, bring him in with Murray and again, those two are some kind of two headed monster to get me to javonte Williams, some point early in the season. Yeah, miles Sanders ain't gonna be cheap. 1200 yards, 11 touchdowns, 5 yards. It's not gonna be cheap. Okay. All right, just checking just checking. There's another question I have that we're gonna have a little bit fun with later on in the program. And it's more about the offense and what offenses are going to face in the coming year. We will get back to that coming up here shortly. Also at 8 o'clock, James Merrill out of Denver sports dot com is going to join the program. Coming

Nothing should get you fired up for this game. It's the man. They don't get, they don't get no bigger than this, man. I don't know. It really don't get no bigger than this. "Nature gives us a reprieve, a window that could impact a game for a short period of time and we could see both of these offenses on full display. I mean, you highlighted the Jacksonville offense, but clearly when you're looking at this game, Philadelphia has stolen all the headlines. Jalen hurts, putting up numbers in a half of football that most teams would be extremely excited if their teams were able to generate in full games. The offense is averaging 321 yards per game in just the first half. Payton, that's more than 8 teams are averaging for the full game. They come into this spot off a 24 8 win versus Washington as a 5 and a half point road favorite where it took very real sharp money on the underdog that was more or less dead and buried by the time we got to halftime. The eagles, hey look, I mean, they generated pressure defensively. You highlighted some of the challenges that Trevor Lawrence will have. But for Jalen hurts, he has art operating with an arsenal of weapons. Devonta Smith was an afterthought week one where AJ Brown was the focal point. Smith has his breakout performance against the commanders. AJ Brown no slouch in that department either. And he's historically torched this same Jaguars defense as a member of the Tennessee Titans, but they're also getting contributions from Dallas Goddard. And I really don't think it matters who the primary running back is. I know miles Sanders is dinged, but Philadelphia feels like they have 37 capable backs that can work effectively in harmony with Jalen hurts. You're spot on. And I think ultimately, when you're looking at this side of the match up, I understand Jacksonville's defense has shown quite well and the two rookies have certainly helped this unit move forward. But think about this. The Jaguars defense faced Carson once. He's 24 out of 32 qualifying quarterbacks in EPA plus completion percentage above expectation. The first three quarters of games. Then you get the colts offense. They're dead last in schedule adjusted efficiency. It doesn't feel like Matt Ryan in that offense is clicking quite yet. And then you got a 60% healthy Justin Herbert without his starting center left tackle right tackle a number one receiver. You have a Jacksonville defense that's stepping up in class this week. So I don't think they're going to play, or they weren't going to play to their efficiency rating. The weather may save them. And I think the other element here is Philadelphia hasn't played a murderer's row of defenses either. But the offense hasn't been pushed. They led by three scores in the third quarter at Detroit against both the Vikings and commanders on a short week, those were games and garbage time by halftime. The eagles offense has not been pushed. So if you're looking at full game metrics, that's probably not the right way to assess Philadelphia's offense. In non garbage time, the eagles are number one and EPA per play and by a pretty good margin. And I think the one thing that we're seeing unfold here and we discussed it a little bit in the off season. We did our may podcast on the NFL that kind of recapped the draft and what we were hearing and Jalen hurts wasn't looking like he made the massive leaps and accuracy and then when we got around to doing the Philadelphia Eagles season preview. And August, he was looking much better with everything we were hearing. Right now, Jalen hurts has the best passing grade among qualifying quarterbacks. He's 5th in EPA plus completion percentage above expectation, the first three quarters. The accuracy is improved. It's allowing the eagles offense to really run these spread concepts and make defenses guard every blade of grass because he's creating this extra man advantage with his legs. So defenses have to keep the extra guy in the box. And now because he's able to throw accurately, he's got receivers operating one on one and all of this extra open space. It's just been a total nightmare for defenses. And you think about this a year ago. No one anticipated Jalen hurts improving this much, but we knew he was a worker. We knew that. He was going to work on his game and right now. He's leading the league 8 and a half yards per passing play. It's been ridiculous. And then you think about the last three offense is Jacksonville's face. Again, it's Matt Ryan. It's Justin Herbert, who couldn't run. It's three statues basically in the pocket. The interesting element here, though, is I will say this. Something to think about, something to factor in. Jacksonville's defensive coordinators might culpa. He was the linebackers coach and co D.C. for Tampa last season. He helped devise the defensive game plan for the Buccaneers and the playoffs that made Jalen hurts. Look like he wasn't a franchise quarterback. And everyone was able to question hurts in the off season because of that game plan. Let's see what my Caldwell comes up with this week. It looks like a far superior version of Jalen hurts than the one we saw in the playoffs last year. The offense appears more complete. There's more weapons. It's a healthier offense for Philadelphia than what they put out in the field against Tampa. They're throwing to all parts of the field a little bit more frequently now than what they did last season. But something to at least think about there. Can I ask a dumb follow up question here and put on my dunce cap for the follow-up question. How much of what Caldwell was able to execute with Tampa Bay's personnel being significantly better than the Jags? Can you apply to something like this? The concepts obviously there, but personnel in your opinion. Do you think he's able to execute at a similar level or just to try and do some of the same same things in coverage? Yeah, listen, when I bring things up like this, it's just to think about it. No, no. I just wanted you to be thinking about defensively. Right now, Shaquille Barrett and walker on the same planet probably not, although walker's playing quite well and Devin Lloyd has just been instrumental in the middle of that defense. He's taking on the shape of a Levante David. Now, at corner, I would agree. They probably don't have the horses, but the game plan was simple, and it was

"Need your advice. We need your counsel. You're a secret degenerate gambler. You're not an open one. We have some open degenerate, like my buddy house. You're more stealth. Yeah. Keep it under the radar, but it'll slip out every once in a while. I want to talk a couple of big games that we didn't talk about with schrager. Let's start with buck's cowboys. Which probably is a stay away. Probably. But I want to talk through because I think Tampa's much better than Dallas. And I want to bet on Tampa. And yet the Brady stuff makes me nervous. What do you see with buck's cowboys? Yeah, I'm very, very tempted by the cowboys I think the cowboys have a good chance to win this game. I think that the cowboys have been appropriately a hammered and doubted across the course of the preseason for the moves that they've made. But one of the things that I think is an easy trap to fall into into the early weeks of the season is going like, all right, the cowboys arrow is generally pointing down. We should probably fade them week one week too. Last year, we actually had this problem where it was buck's cowboys and Thursday Night Football. And the air was just up for the box. I'll offer you an up, up, up, up. And they came in as a 9 point favorite. And then that game was down to the wire cowboys were winning before a game winning drive by Brady. What it is for me is I like cowboys at two and a half. I wish I could get three, whatever. I like the over though. I do like the over at 50 and a half to 51. 51 is a pretty key number, especially so if you're still getting underneath that for a total, it's a big one. Prescott is so, so, so, so good against blitz heavy teams. His regularly perennially beaten the blitz over the course of his career last season. Prescott 21 touchdowns and four interceptions against the blitz, 8.8 average at the target, only sacked on 13% of his blitz drop backs. Those are ludicrous numbers. Todd Bowles of blitz heavy, defense coordinator doesn't matter what your offensive line looks like. It's banged up, right? No tyron Smith. He's still gonna send pressure. And okay, Michael Gallup probably isn't going to play, Noah Cooper, the passing game won't be as good. It doesn't matter. Was the balls coming out quick against the blitz. That's Dalton Schultz, that's Tony Pollard, the CD lamb. That's going to work for the cowboys. I expect points in this game. I can still see the box winning it, bucks taking a buy a possession that's no problem. But I do expect points. I do think it's close. So you like the over for the points potentially. We might mess around with some overs this year, a $1 million picks. The over for this game is 15 and a half. Yep. And like I said, 51 is a pretty key line. I think that's about like 4% of games end up on 51. So if you can get underneath that number, it's nice. And also, Jamie and the cowboys in a bar layer, there's so many parties with teasers. There's so many two and a half sitting on the board, even as we record this on Thursday and the rams are still sitting there. It feels all like bait. I hate it so much, but I do have teasers. I've shoved the cowboys into. Eagles lions. I know I know you've spent some time breaking down the eagles. A lot of time on the ringers Philly special. This feels like a trap game to me. First of all, we have so many home dogs and the underdogs the last ten years and week one, I think there are 89 and 67 against the spread. That's what our guy John Ewing had somewhere on Twitter. So my tendency is to lean toward the home dogs. And then there's all this eagle Super Bowl hype. And yet, you killed these guys last year. Yep. And I do feel like that matters sometimes in football, where it's like, oh, a year ago, we killed these guys. There's like a different level of confidence. I'm probably staying away from this game, but what is there anything we should know about this matchup? Yeah, that game was also really weird one. Jalen hurts to the ball 14 total times. Miles Sanders was out to the eagles had like 13 carriers to Jordan Howard and Kenny gain well and they both had like two touchdowns apiece, right? The lines were banged up on both lines and they couldn't move the football at all. There's reason to believe the lions are better defensively against Russian quarterbacks than they looked against Justin Fields. They held him to 16 points. Kyler, when they beat him late in the season to 12 points, Lamar was the 19 point game that the ravens almost lost. This defense tends to be good structurally against Russian quarterbacks, but the eagles offensive line was so dominant that it just didn't matter. They just handed the football off, handed the football off and the lines never got out of light boxes. The Lions internally believe I was there for camp, I talked with their defensive staff and pulling a Kevin Clark here. The Lions internally believe that their defense is going to be much better this year, especially on the line. I remain skeptical. And so I do think that this is a chance for the eagles to have an emphatic win in the same formula in the same approach that they used last year in terms of the running game. With that said, the best bet for this game is every AJ Brown over you can find. Big as books aren't ready yet for just how AJ Brown centric this past the game is going to be. Especially because they still think the eagles are going to be a very low pass rate team. They're going to be primarily run on early downs, which is still correct. But reports out of training camp are like, man, it's three targets AJ Brown and one target to somebody else. It is an unbelievable focus hurts and age around I've known each other for a long time. They needed a receiver who can win one on ones. The lines were the worst team of the league last year in yard surrendered perched coverage snap in man coverage. They had Jeffrey a cuda back, but who does not a known commodity. Aja brown's line is 66 and a half receiving yards. That is off of my understanding of how he's going to be used too low. And so I think you're not going to see lies in the 60s for AJ brown's the rest of the season. I take it now. So you're thinking, if we were doing the same game parlay for that, you would do eagles money line. AJ Brown over 66 and then AJ Brown will score touchdown in this game. Something like that. One of the nice things about same games on FanDuel is you can get the alternate receiving lines on these props. So you can actually take the one that I have out is like AJ Brown 90 plus receiving yards. So basically a hundred yard game. A plus a touchdown and then if you take the eagles in the alternate spread, 6 and a half, that puts you at plus 1010. So that's ten to one return. Wow. Yeah. So that's a good one. But I'm going to mark that one down. That's a nice one. The nice thing about same games is kind of correlating out how a game is going to go, right? You try and start to write the script.

"Back fantasy football weekly. This is a make or break sophomore edition of fantasy football weekly, Paul chariot in a Matt Harrison with you. You can check out Matt Matt's work at shock fantasy dot com. You've got your shock fantasy hat on it. I do. Just I'm loading up a whole bunch of cheat sheets this weekend too. We're getting going. Finally draft season. Here we go. Let's go to the running back position and I want to start with Philadelphia running back Kenneth gain well. Do you believe this is a make or break season for him? I kind of forgot about Kenny gainwell, like admittedly. Off my radar. But so this was kind of fun because I got to dig back into him. And for the sake of the argument, I'm going to call it a make year for Kenny gainwell, but not in the way that he suddenly becomes a always starting running back in fantasy. I think he's going to be a serviceable flex play here and there. There's a lot of things working against him. But there were glimmers of hope in his rookie year. First, he scored 6 more touchdowns than miles Sanders at 6 zero. There's that, yes. 5 of those 6 were on the ground. That's a good thing. Boston Scott inexplicably was the inside the 5 runner for Philadelphia. A guy who's not built for that had 7 touchdowns on ten attempts. Miles Sanders had 5 rushing attempts inside the 5 last year with zero touchdowns. And negative one yards. Negative 5 yards. The average negative one. Gainwell was only given two attempts inside the 5, but he did score on one. So that's a good thing. You know, Boston Scott is not built to be a goal lineback. No, not. I can't believe that they're going to keep using Boston Scott there, although he was fairly effective in that role. He was. But Boston Scott could be one of those cap casualties as they come closer to camp. Maybe they don't need a veteran guy like that. Who knows? But the second thing that I really liked about gain well, he was the most utilized running back in the passing game for Philadelphia last year. And that's kind of where you think Boston Scott would kind of flex into there. But it was gain well. More targets and receptions than Sanders, who was on the field a lot more, more targets and receptions than Scott, whose primary role should be the pass catching back. So give me the most efficient running back in the passing game, a guy who could feasibly steal the goal line role from Boston Scott to me that's a flex worthy runner, but the problem is is we need consistency and touches. He needs ten to 15 touches a game to be interesting. In the last 6 games the last season, 17 touches, zero, one, zero, 16, 6. That's wild usage. Yeah, it's crazy. So I don't know if that's a coaching philosophy there. Could have been injury. Injuries to miles Sanders here and there, but Kenneth gainwell is an interesting guy. He looked good when he had the ability to get the touches. So I'll say make. I like that you challenge yourself to make a make out of that, but I don't know that I can go there. I'm going to go with Travis Etienne as our next runner. Jacksonville running back. I've got to make on him. It feels obvious now, but let's just talk it through. And you don't have to spend a lot of time on this. I think everybody's everybody's interested in him. But I've got a real angle near the end of this that you'll want to listen to that's very important, I think. As we've detailed on previous shows, James Robinson's return is very much in doubt and way more than people are talking about, cam Akers look terrible when he returned from his Achilles injury. Robinson suffered this injury late December. No running back has ever returned from an Achilles injury to have a meaningful running back career. So there's a lot of reasons to be very nervous about James Robinson. And especially early in the season. Etienne's Liz Frank injury happened mid August last year, so by week one, he's going to be over one year removed from it. So that foot should really be okay. Liz Frank's injuries have had a lot of variation in outcome of how that's affected players. But it's gotten better over the past few years as I think we've handled the break better medically than we used to. Doug Peterson can manufacture throws to his backs and in some cases throughout Doug Peterson's career. He's done that. In 2019, his backs combined for 85 catches and 800 yards. Nice. But I'll note that a lot of the a lot of other seasons Doug Peterson's backs haven't done that, but they also, it's also really been by and large wind miles Sanders was healthy when he was in halcyon when he was on roster and he wasn't. And Etienne was a phenomenal pass catcher in college at Clemson. So the hope is that's going to happen here too. I think at worst at TN should be a big PPR force, but Etienne in college was never workhorse back. I don't believe he's going to be a workhorse back in this offense either. But they will use him through the air a lot. I think I see, tell me if you think there's a common box score for Etienne. Ten rushes for, let's say, four and a half yards per carry, 45 yards. 5 receptions for another 45 yards. And a coin flips chance at a touchdown one way or another in most games. Yeah. Sound about right? Sounds fair. Etienne was never a goal line guy has never been a big goal on guy and he's not a big bodied guy. I want to put snoop Connor on your radar. So if you believe me that James Robinson's return is very much in doubt and his abilities are very much in doubt, snoop Robinson was a 5th rounder that they took snoop Connor. Snoop Connor. Thank you. Who they took and he is a bona FIDE goal line guy in college that he was used expressly as a goal line guy wasn't a workhorse guy, but he got tons of he got tons of hard yards. He was very good. He shocking number of like ten, 12, 15 yard chunk plays. He doesn't have the long speed to give you like, you know, rip off 60 yarders. But chunk gains and workhorse chunk gains and goal line ability. Snoop Connor. Well, thunder and lightning here. If you want a deep, deep sleeper. And a guy that could lead the Jaguars and rushing touchdowns. Snoop, Connor. Okay. Anyway, I gotta make on Travis Etienne. Yeah, I'm with you. Let's go to the wide receiver position beginning with giants, sophomore kid Tony. It seems easy ish, but I'm gonna call it a break for kadarius Tony. He was really the wrong draft pick last year for Dave gettleman, who's now gone. The new regime has absolutely no ties to Tony. They were rumored to already be shopping him near the draft. Why? They still have Kenny gallaudet under a massive contract, Sterling shepherd, still there. They drafted another slot guy Juan Dale Robinson in the second round. Basically to replace kadarius, Tony, if you Google kadarius Tony, the first thing that pops up is where is kadarius Tony now? Where is he right now? Where is he? Where in the world is kadarius Tony? He had minor off season knee surgery. There's a lot of questions about his character. There's a big dedication to the game. Daniel Jones is in his final year in New Jersey. It seems like this offense is just starting a two to three year rebuild under new head coach Brian dabel. I think he's going to build a completely different offense than we've seen under the previous regime. And the Giants wide receivers is a group. With Daniel Jones, guess how many touchdowns they had as an entire group. Thank you holiday had one or zero. Shepherd had like two Tony might have scored one time. I'm gonna go 5. You got the number right, but Tony didn't score. 5 touchdowns for the Giants wide receivers as a whole last year. I think kadarius Tony might be looking at being the fourth or 5th wide receiver in this Daniel Jones. It's gross. I don't like it at all. I'm with you on break on Tony. I wish you were different because he does flash unbelievable stuff. Yeah, he had that one game last year where he had ten

"After that game, it was like they looked around and said, okay, it's time to get out of dime. Let's stop playing dime, you know? And they did. I mean, they moved into more of this defense. And it's funny. I mean, they lost to a forty-niners team that was running their offense. Yeah. The Tina created their offense. And so how did you go into that game back in 2019, thinking that you could handle that with such a light box and such light personnel? They've since changed things around obviously. They've gotten they've gotten a different identity defensively. I think they'll be better equipped to handle it. That said, the fact that Elijah Mitchell is rolling now, along with debo Samuel, you essentially have in the forty-niners maybe the best two back backfield remaining in the playoffs right now. I mean, outside of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, I mean, you really do have a whole lot of talent there. And it probably comes down to Jimmy Garoppolo, whether he's able to give you a professional grade performance or not. All right, let's continue our journey back in time to the early one on Sunday. Eagles Buccaneers. I don't know, Connor. I mean, we were looking forward to this one being a little more interesting than it actually was. And look, I was surprised, we did our mid week show and we talked a little bit about how the bucks run defense, maybe I slid back a little bit and Levante David has been out, et cetera, et cetera. And we'll not do David end up suiting up. And all of a sudden it looks like Todd Bowles has his full complement of players and as much as we look at his bucks team and say, oh, you know, Antonio Brown is going now and Chris Godwin's out for the year and they're running out of weapons, et cetera, et cetera, this was a team that rode to the Super Bowl on the strength of their defense last year. And now all of a sudden, for the first time, really since the season opener, Todd Bowles has his full complement of players back in the lineup. Yeah, and you're seeing them lean on those strengths and what was so interesting was not only were the Buccaneers kind of struggling, but the Buccaneers were struggling specifically against perimeter runs. And that was Philadelphia's bread and butter going into this game, which is why I thought no brainer. I mean, they're going to cover at the very least and they're going to give this team a game. And it was really, for those of you who didn't watch, I mean, it's 31 15. I mean, it was 31 nothing at half time. This game wasn't remotely close. And it was sorely disappointing because little peak behind the curtain. I had an eagles column that I really wanted to write an editor Mitch said I couldn't write it unless they got the game within ten points. And so I powdered and I powdered and I didn't want to write about the Buccaneers. And so it was a real bummer for me. But I ended up just writing about the Buccaneers anyway. But 8 rushes for 39 yards for Jalen hurts, miles Sanders to have 7 carries for 16 yards. That's a big boy performance from the Buccaneers and that that is what they do exceptionally well. In addition to have to have Vaughn come around in their own running game, I think adds a different dynamic there..

"Both of these teams, I mean, of course, you're in desperate need of a win when you're one and 7, but you have a situation where Todd Taylor is supposed to come back this week for the Houston Texans. And I think that makes a really big difference in this game. Taylor, you got to remember all the way back week one. He looked pretty decent against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a really easy victory, right? I mean, that's a game you're supposed to win and Taylor led the Texans to a win in that game. Now, against the Cleveland Browns, Taylor was serviceable. He was okay. And that's when he got hurt and that's when he got Davis mills for what felt like an eternity over there in Houston. It has gone very poorly. They, until last week, we're averaging under ten points a game with Davis mills are starting quarterback. I think Taylor at least brings them an air of competence on the offensive side of the football that was not there with Davis mills. Both of these teams, of course, disasters, statistically, right? Both in the bottom, half of the league, bottom four in terms of their yards per play. Bottom 7 in terms of yards per play allowed, bottom 5 and scoring offense and defense. It's a game that really I don't like betting at all. But if I was going to do it, I would take all those points with the Texans, I think to ride Taylor is going to be just good enough to make this a close contest. Either way, also, again, why would you think that the dolphins are going to blow somebody out this season based off of the way they've played this year? Just a game that again, it's like you don't expect to see it on red zone very often, let alone want to watch it on TV here in week 9. A lot of better games will to watch. And to wager on, I think there is no denying that. Now let's go to Philadelphia for our next contest. Chargers, eagles, chargers, two and a half point favorites, total is 50 there in Philadelphia, last week. You have the Chargers losing at home as a favor to the Patriots. You have the eagles beating up on the Detroit Lions. It was 44 to 6. It was really ugly. Justin Herbert's status worth keeping an eye on in this game. He's questionable with the right hand injury. It was one of those where the throwing hand hits like a helmet or something and it hurts. He should play. It's the second time it's happened to him this season. He should be fine and good to go. But as the guy takes hits during an NFL game, who knows if it stays that way. It's at least worth keeping in the back of your mind as you go through this week. Of course, injuries on the eagle side as well. Miles Sanders, he is now on injured reserve, jaylen radar questionable with an ankle injury and both of these teams pretty similar statistically this year. Both averaging 5.8 yards play on the season Philly slightly better on the defensive side of the ball. Both teams within a point and a half of each other in terms of scoring offense and defense. And I mean, both of these seem super middle of the pack, right? The eagles trying to get to four and 5 with a win, the Chargers are just trying to stay above 500 with a win. I don't see a lot of value betting this game, either way, right? It's a tight line between two teams that are pretty middle of the pack just about everywhere you go. You know, the one thing I would say is the perception around Justin Herbert, I think is a lot more positive than his actual play on the field. So, you know, you could argue that maybe the Chargers are just generally overvalued, but I don't know that I would go that far. I think that it's a game that really could go either way. And for that reason it's one that I really wouldn't make a big strong recommendation on from a better perspective. Now, it gave that I am somewhat interested and I'm pretty interested in from a banking perspective. Packers chiefs, packers around a 7 and a half point dog in this game, total 47 and a half. This game was about to pick a game earlier in the week. Until we found out that Aaron Rodgers will not be playing he has tested positive for COVID. We found out that he is, of course, subject to the different protocol because he is not vaccinated, which then spawned questions about him potentially. Lying about that fact that he wasn't vaccinated and it turned into the whole who knew what and when did they know it type of thing, one of those situations where I'm really glad to work in the sports gambling field and not in one of the debate culture sports shows where you have to do what did they know when did they know it came? Because I don't care about any of that. I care about who's going to cover the spread. And it's on all I need to know Aaron Rodgers is going to be there. It's going to be Jordan love or whoever else, I think Blake bortles got signed. He could be a part of the quarterback room. There in Green Bay. That's all I care about right now is who's going to cover the spread. And with a spread now that's more than a touchdown, of course, a substantial downgrade in quarterback quality for the packers coming into this game, but I don't like the idea of laying those kind of points with this Kansas City defense regardless of who is starting a quarterback for them. It's a cheap team that really should have lost to the New York Giants last week. A couple of turnovers from the chiefs really sloppy play. The Giants had plenty of opportunities to go down the field and get a late scoring drive that would have put them ahead in that game, potentially for good..

I've probably put harris behind those guys because you expect them to be a little bit more involved in fascinating but very close and would you put a lease elisa mitchell ahead or behind harris harris ahead of him in non pr Probably similar range probably harris ahead of him in in. Pbr's well here to. I think one thing that's encouraging for harris is not an injury report this week. So that's good. Know he's been dealing with that rib injury and back injury. I think it's been for the last couple of weeks. But how much more work is andre. Stevenson going to get. That's the so who's who is the second best running back in this game. Roger stevenson from michael horror. And who is the best wide receiver in. This game myers Because i was a little surprised. That corey davis even cracked your top. Thirty guys He's twenty. He's top twenty five and he had two catches for eight yards in the first game as too high for me i was. I was actually contemplating myers or crowder because in the week two game. That was braxton. Various without crowder on the field. Yeah enduro said seven for seventy three. I think eleven targets member all that and you remember all that in front of me. But i just wrote about crowd or yesterday so i think crowder's in an interesting spot because if you just go game flow you know it's It feels like he's going to be that guy he's going to be what you hold mirela. Yeah man i'm really you know. You got to be nervous about corey davis if they put if they put jesse jackson on him. It's probably going to be a long day.

"What i call police quarterbacks. They're not very good. Nfl quarterbacks jackson had a great year. But then you got hurt and you know all of a sudden he puts up these garbage times past. They in it yeah and then you look at sanders numbers and it's like. Oh my gosh what do you. What do i do here. But again he's he's one of my One of i two or three starting running so you got to kind of go with him and hope that he gets Breaks a big one or it's a few catches and you would hope that these coaches eventually get it chicago phillies indy. They have to be able to make some better play calling. Hey let me ask you this. Let's say somebody who is playing in the f. Fcc main event like you or the football players championship. They can only even with the flex spots. They can only start one of these players. It comes down to mile sanders this week. Who is at home against kansas city chiefs or the new starting running back carolina who has taken on the cowboys in dallas. That's true hubbard. Would you start this week. Only one spot available hubbard or miles sanders. Yeah that's one. I mean it's it's a little bit of a toss up. I still gonna go with a veteran. He's gotta hopefully break some and and get to see more. Cats hubbard is a little bit unknown Going against dallas. They might have to throw a little more. And you know it. Might not be as comfortable as hubbard. Being that guy making those catches was gonna make. You're listening to the voice of undoubtedly the next prime minister of canada. It is silas week. One leader and the f. f. b. c. main event and former f. f. pc league champs so let's talk about We we just talked about carolina. Ravi anderson what is going on with him right now. Because you know you look at and i was i. I wouldn't say. I guess i was high on him but i look at him coming carolina this year. Tom in catching passes from sam darnold. Who is former teammate. In new york stylists. And you look at what he's done so far this year free targets one catch week one granted. It was a long touchdown but okay. He gets six targets he catches three of them. We too but then one catch for eight yards you know at houston one of the worst teams in the nfl week. Great he goes out. It could be a potential shuttle or up. Shutout could be a potential shootout in that game..

Why don't I eight minutes dollar things in that song, But we lead with Georgia so we'll go there, you know. Uh, eagles right now, on top of the Falcon's bid time with the football, Even it's to go in the fourth quarter Eagles lead 22 to 6 and perhaps you're wondering what the numbers are. Maybe for your fantasy team. Let me help you out with that. Jalen hurts 25 of 33 241 passing yards to passing touchdowns. Miles Sanders leads the way for Philadelphia in terms of Kerry's 15 for 74 yards. Kind of gain well does have a rushing touchdown. Devante Smith has a receiving touchdown and Dallas Goedert has a receiving touchdown as well. On the other side, Mattie Ryan 138 passing yards is pretty good. Cordero Patterson, seven carries For 54 yards. He leads the way in terms of Russian Calvin Ridley 44 yards receiving leads the way for the Falcons again. Eagles on top 22 to 6 It's Game Day on ESPN Radio, the estimate. The ESPN app Shea and Jordan Cornette here with you. I'm going to He's locked and loaded on all these games right now, But I'm going to give him an update that I know he cares a lot about because my husband here is from Cincinnati and wearing a Joe Burrow jersey fight at Bangles. I don't know that he's going to be happy about this. Dalvin cook a one yard rushing TD TD makes it 34. I'm sorry 24 to 21, Cincinnati again. Dalvin Cook. One yard rushing TD makes it 24 to 21 Cincinnati. Unfortunately, Joe Burrow was just sacked on third and five sacked and limping off the field. Limping off on his own, but limping off the field after taking that sack and knowing what happened to that left knee, two tornadoes cl everybody, everybody Holding on and hoping for the best there Now I did walk up the field himself but limped to the bench and took his seat and they went to commercial break. So that is something for everybody to monitor. Even if you're forgetting a Bengals fan, just a fan of football, Joe Burrow. You want to see that guy? Stay out there and play for sure. No doubt about it. Let's go to Indianapolis Seahawks at Colts. All right, D K. Metcalf took a pass from Russell Wilson for 15 yards. Finally, we have a D. K. Metcalf, citing it is 28 to 10 Seattle.

He doesn't catch enough balls but i do think he's going to be there every down running back kind of guy which is interesting because you know coming out of college. He was kind of seen as the opposite. Cut a lot of passes. So tonio gibson would probably be the bet- You'd want to take their and probably get the best price right. "Yeah i'm okay with I'm okay with mile sanders. Take myles sanders for this team. So that's derrick henry and mile sanders running back now maclaurin in jefferson. We just did a draft where you took jacobs over sanders. I was doing podcasts. At the time and i got down to the final second between those two and i just clicked draft on josh jacobs but i basically think they're. They're even so that's my johnson. I don't think that he's gonna serve the best dealers wide receiver. So i can wait. Another is the best eagles running back. Yes mile sanders is the best eagles running back. Sure yes. I a positive about that. Quasi boston scott. Are you positive. Derrick henry is the best titans running back. let's not compare mile sanders to derrick. There's no way without an injury that's going to be better than mile sater's on the eagles drabbest. I wouldn't go quite that far. But i- chris interesting probably a fair statement i just that doesn't necessarily mean miles sanders will be a very good fantasy option. I don't know i. I think a lot of players in this range won't be very good fantasy options. Unfortunately i am and pick. That's kind of why just took travesty. Tnn their online. That has their robert woods. And travis kelsey at this point in the in the draft at running back. You're looking at a lot of guys. Who are josh jacobs who has a relatively high floor. But it's hard to see huge ceiling. Mike davis who is projected for a lot of points but doesn't necessarily have a floor at all etienne is an incredibly talented player. And so it's just a bad on talent and skill set like he has a very fancy conducive skill set if he hits. Okay heath team three. Yeah i already had two running backs in alvin kamara. David montgomery keenan. Allen was my only wide receiver. You mentioned it deontay. Johnson was my top rated wide receiver. There's four quarterbacks all basically in the same tier five quarterbacks for me all the same tier and there's only four picks between this and my next pick though was quarterback so i took dna johnson. Okay i don't really like to the johnson and round for he doesn't feel like around for pick but i do think he was the best picture. Take their all right jamie. You're on the clock with the team to which has dalvand cook. And what data. Cook nick chub and allen robinson yes by the way did you mean to set this as a tourist through -serily i did not set this up right before the draft star but i said several times three receiver league as much started. Yeah let's treat it as a three receiver league with flex with affleck's okay. I'm the guy that doesn't read the rules to set the rules. Zach josh allen. So that comes down. That comes back to the number one. Pick which has mccaffrey waller and metcalf easy. Pick for me. Here is kylie murray is next pick is going to be tough. Three receiver league probably want to get that second receiver here and that is. I think it's time to take mike evans. Forty nine overall. So that is now. Mccaffrey kyla cut. Mccaffrey metcalf excuse me. Waller cuyler marine evans. You should really like your team. If you're drafting. I i mean i love that team draft i usually has the highest percentage of any spot in the draft. So yeah jamie you are up again after. You just took josh allen. Yeah don't love going quarterback tight end back to back in the first five rounds..

"I suspect that they're gonna lean on that offensive line quite a bit so that combined with the fact that i know that swift can rack up those targets and receptions when the lions are playing from behind and still get that short yardage work makes me it makes me interested in him period. But i think. I've said it before. I think they're seventy catches on the table for them in this offense and that puts them in this group and pr day. Was that these silver and blue something that you respect right yes that suffices for that one win wonder. So let's get our next tier here. For of does have dobbins in edwards tier three npr for dave c. h. jk dobbins david montgomery and miles sanders such disrespect for chris. Carson is in the next year he who's in your next year miles sanders. Josh jacobs david. Montgomery mike davis clyde edwards helaire. Jk dobbins my okay. So we got t. H dobbins behind those guys. But they're in the same tier so really. We should just focus on the tears here. Because it's mike davis mile sanders and josh jacobs. I think those were the three names. And obviously carson. We've already debated so. Yeah gaskin davis and jacobs that he has in the same tier as edwards e layer dobbins montgomery and sanders. Dave just has ever dealer dobbins montgomery and sanders. He has gaskin jacobs and davis in the next year data along with kareem hunt. Npr in carson encouraging. All right. so. What is it that separates to edwards helaire dobbins montgomery sanders from gaskin. Jacobs and mike davis upside the chance to have fifteen hundred yards ten touchdowns and fifty catches now. I don't i don't think dobbins i don't think we can look at dobbins and i'm not sure we can look at sanders anymore and say that about the catches but i think that they all four. These running backs have potential to come through in a big way and edwards helaire. We kind of saw at the beginning of last year. And then the team went and got le'veon bell and they really limited just how much were dealer did for them and then he got hurt. The offense along was a mess. Now all that's been flipped around edwards. Helaire has a good offensive line. There is no le'veon bell daryl williams and jerick mckinnon her there Mckinnon profiles as if he makes the team a third down back and williams will be there to kind of pitch in here. And there i think ever deliver can still be the main guy and i think he could do better behind that improve offensive line. So i'm kind of encouraged by edwardsville. Erin i don't mind taking them in that around three or four range and i. I'm hoping the dobbins catches more passes. I don't think it'll be much more but talents. Amazing he. He was definitely touchdown. Reliant toward the end of last year given the strengths of this ravens offense. It wouldn't surprise me if he scored in eleven of seventeen games this coming season and had a bunch of breakaway runs..

Philadelphia Eagles agree to terms with RB Jordan Howard

"Philadelphia signed jordan howard and they resigned boston scott last week and the bengals awesome good. That's just that's okay. If i will stay with the bengals released giovanni bravo. Go to the eagles this matter. We're just glossing way where we're just going to gloss over geelong we'll come back to that start with the eagles does. Does this matter. Jordan howard and boston scott back and again. The boss scott was not a surprise. They tendered leave so they did. We knew he was coming back. But now jordan howard joining the fold does this matter for miles sanders. Obviously scott matters more. I wonder if he'll become their version. Of nahim hines. And kinda sorta was already and jordan. Our coming back i. I'm not sure why. I don't know what they saw. In jordan howard. When he was in miami that makes them want to put him on the roster that maybe the roster spot is in guaranteed that would probably be the case We'll see it's not gonna make me any more nervous to draft miles sanders still think sanders worth a top thirty pack

"I think swift is the only one. I really count on to be a legitimate passing game help the way the lions used him last season and the skill set he showed. I think he's probably the best bet among this group to have sixty five to seventy targets. I think it's an open question for everyone else So he might actually end up being number one among this group once. I you know tweak things but i like all of them well enough i think acres is the one that i'm least likely to draft this year. He you know the the six games where he was really the every down back playing. Sixty five to seventy five percent of the snaps. He rushed for five hundred and sixty one yards which is awesome but only had fourteen targets in those five era. Those six games one hundred forty seven receiving yards. I'm just. I'm not sure. What the receiving game role is going to be. That hasn't really been there for the rams since todd gurley new quarterback there was running backs all the time in fact that the andre swift has a new quarterback. That hasn't who's running backs in two years. I just don't think that matters a lot more within the context of the offense and the quarterback themselves. There are certain quarterbacks who don't throw the ball to the running max. But that's mostly mobile quarterback deshaun watson who are more willing to scramble than just dump off so acres. The carries were a huge carry. Tom numbers twenty eight in the first playoff game. One hundred thirty two overall in those six games when that fifteen to sixteen per game rather than twenty to twenty five. I'm just not sure how high the ceiling is. If that receiving role doesn't materialize. Jamie wanted to give us your rankings. Of those four. Chris went miles sanders swift nixon acres acres slipped sanders acres swift acres. I well acres swift sanders. Mixson okay and then data. They're all my top fifteen. Okay give me a quick ranking. Then jamie expand on acres number one acres swift mixing sanders to interesting very jamie europe first acres number one. I just think they're game flow is going to be a lot in his favor. This is going to be team. That's gonna have a chance to win a lot of games. I think his role in the passing game will increase slightly. I don't think it's going to be two point where he's a dynamic pass catcher but i think a full offseasons gonna matter for him tremendously. I do think the quarterback change will help him. I also think that mcveigh's gonna realize what his skill set is expand that Based on what he did in college you know he was a pretty good pass. Catcher for state. I think that will carry over the. Nfl's wall as he's used in more some obvious passing down situations. I don't think they're fully trusted him until the end of the season to be a little bit more pass blocker so just being on the field in those situations with malcolm. Brown gone a veteran that they trusted to be in those spots He's not going to be part of the roster anymore. So i think acres can be a a thirty five to forty catch guy and what will do running the ball. I think that will put him in the top ten range. So that's why. I think he's a break canada's well everybody's got swift second that's interesting debut of sanders. Last go acre swift mix and sanders. And where is he by the way just in your overall running back rankings. He's nineteenth..

Jamie Chris deshaun watson Sixty nineteenth todd gurley fifteen six games five hundred fourteen targets Tom two years twenty seventy targets twenty eight two point one hundred forty seven receiv Nfl One hundred thirty two this year

"But it's game day to not have him there. And I don't think you can take the lion situation against the Buccaneers on the day after Christmas as a great gauge, because the Lions were they were a disaster, and the Buccaneers were just starting tol comfortable and really put things together offensively, but it didn't help. Do not have your head coach on the sidelines for sure. The Browns have a ton of weapons. They are a team that should be confident and I go going into Pittsburgh has been a challenge. But it's not these same guys who failed to win in Pittsburgh for the last 100 years being decisions, of course, but it's not This group of guys and its history is is exactly that is history. You're not doomed to repeat it. It's a trend, but trends can always be halted. Trends can always be changed on Dis is the best Brown's team that we've seen in quite a while. And certainly the The Steelers are vulnerable and we we've seen there some of their flaws in some of the ways that they can be beaten, so I don't know that it's going to end up being the same situation. But I also don't know that you should assume the browser gonna play as well as the Ty did without necks saving my gosh, They're a well oiled machine, and he's got his assistant coaches school, Justus well as any of his players. So, Yeah, I just man another challenge, and I don't know that we should be surprised by that. But feels like right now, anyway. Jalen Hurts inspires Eagles to victory in first NFL start

"At least for one week philadelphia. Eagles fans can feel confident with the caliber of play. They got from the quarterback position and jalen hurts leading philadelphia to the outright upset as an eight point. Underdog against the seemingly unbeatable new orleans saints. The eagles offense showed a little bit of a pulse and the saints defense was nowhere to be found in the first thirty minutes where they surrendered more than three hundred yards. It's kyle shanahan could've done his job. The eagles would have been or would be right in the thickens. Visger that divisions a mess. I mean every time you want to give them credit for making strides ford. They they pull you back in and like you said kyle shanahan and company allowing washington to get the improbable win. But i digress silly. Despite the washington win increase their playoff chances by about seven or eight percent. So there's still a fighting chance you mentioned this game and that's what it came down to is getting out to a quick start. Philadelphia thought for the first thirty minutes. Did a really good job. And they control the trenches. Which is a little shocking. Because you had this. Eagles offensive line that was was really depleted. You've lost peter's as well in that's against one of the more talented defensive front fours in the nfl. The new orleans saints miles sanders woke up and decided to contribute. You'll get the eagles offense. Ten point four yards per russian. At first half fifty percent rushing success rate for explosive runs all in the first half. Doug peterson game plan to me was was pretty good. The script resolved the playcalling was decent in. the eagles. did enough in the first half to hang on for dear life in the second. Come away with that win. And and keep themselves alive defensively. I thought before what feels like every single starter for the eagles left the game in the second half. Billy did a nice job defensively in that first. Thirty minutes stanzas. Well three point six yards per play allowed thirty three percent success rate allow tastes. Him only ran at twice in the first half. He was semi accurate throwing it. What it was just really short. Four point three yards per attempt in that first half so across the board that might have been the eagles best half football. This season they were. They were fantastic in. It was certainly against a team that had more talent. It just looked like philadelphia. Wanted it more along. The lines of scrimmages

"Bo. When we're watching games, we sometimes forget to pay attention to the offense of Lineman, but you wrote about a play against the Ravens recently where Jordan my Lada really put himself into the center of the action. Can you take us through what happened on that play? It was sort of a typical zone read up the Eagles thirty yard. Carson wentz is in the shotgun and he has the decision as to whether to hand off the Mile Sanders or hold the ball and run himself. So that's what he does. wets keeps it on a read option he'll get out to the thirty five hour live Paul, loose ball, the ravens every covered it, and he fumbles the ball. The ball POPs out and a ravens defender picks it up the Safety Chuck Clark an se starts to run from out of nowhere comes Jordan, my Lana, this six, foot, eight, three, hundred, forty, five, pound guy probably even heavier than that, and it is as if he is. Taking over all of his training from his youth he just attacks Chuck Clark like launches into the air and in the same motion swings his left arm around and pinpoints punches the ball out, and it just shoots into the air and it ends up landing at a balance. So the Ravens keep the ball anyway but to see a left tackle do something. So athletic was definitely eye opening. Jordan. My Lada is a powerhouse in front of the microphone as well. where. Does MY PASSION FOR MUSIC COMING FROM? So he says it like everything else in his life I sort of comes from his family, a big family and Kiss. One Gill he ever cut new family I and everything that I am staying. Going I, get it from my family. So He is the child of two Simone immigrants they grew up. He was the fourth of five children in a suburb of Sydney called Bankstown and he says, you know everybody in Samoan Culture is talented in music in some way, and so he is very good on guitar. And it's true like he's got a really beautiful. You know he was never despite how big he would get. He was never sort of the biggest kid growing up but around great seven as he calls it, he starts just shooting up and it never stops and this was a very sports friendly family, but rugby league was their passion. So He's playing rugby league and all of a sudden you know it looks like he's sort of the Danny Monteverde of what's going on in Rugby League Heavy like this guy. Check his Team. Running jerk. Everybody's asking for his birth certificate like there's no way. This guy can be fourteen years old fifteen years old and this becomes the running joke. Every time he's playing with his team. We fast forward a couple of years. He's seventeen years old. He's on his rise as a rugby player. There's this scary moment one day at practice. Take us through what happened. He's playing four I guess what amounts to the youth team or the be level team the practice squad sort of for his local rugby league team in Bankstown and he collapses one day. And everybody's sort of just chalked it up to you know this guy's too big too unfit, and then a couple of weeks later it happens again and they sent him straight to the hospital and immediately you know the doctors are like we need to get you in for emergency surgery. There's an issue with his heart. And over the course of about a year and a half, he ends up having to separate heart surgeries where he has a hard abrasion and both the upper and lower chamber of his heart and at that point, the idea of even continuing to play sports he thought that that was probably over. Once the second surgery was over the doctors said, he was totally fine. He was ready to go. You know once he was recovered from that. So shortly thereafter, he gets back into playing rugby league and he's sort of on the rise. But at the same time, he has to work a part time job he's doing. Jobs. So he's starting to get a little bit frustrated and a agents toss out. The idea of would you be interested in trying different sport trying to play in the NFL his agents send his highlight video to the international pathway program for the NFL and the NFL has this program where every year about four to six or seven players from around the world are given the opportunity to work out for NFL teams and it up to La when they were. When I? I. Didn't know this for. A week in La, that's when I really like. Fine Tree and What I WANNA do the hurdle from there is he has to convince his family and his family is not about it at all and as Jordan describes it, in Samoan Culture what the elders say go. So it's basically the end of the conversation
