"Majin understand? Cannot jump a lot of sliding across the stage. Yeah, so he says, there's nothing you do everybody ages. It was just that. What if you're known for how physically active you are during a show Very physical to age. It's got my walker. Hey, you know, at least put some tennis balls at the bottom. Man. At least he's not doing full guys. Hey, tennis, Anyone? Oh, New balls, please. Uh, you have some stories from two story Mila Kunis and asking future ride the slow down slow down a minute. Mila Kunis, Nida Tunis and I think you should really hold on hold after revealing their family. I'm slowing you down here. And they don't wash with soap because it doesn't listen here. If you think that I will not sick Olivia and her army on you, you would be wrong. I will Olivia's armies on the way. Yeah, I'd rather be anybody else. But here today pits and all that. So here's the deal. I I saw this headline, so they don't bathe the way that people all this broke the Internet. Nothing broke the Internet. What? Nothing broke with you. Nothing's ever going to break the Internet Fragile. You know how you would know that the Internet was broken piece would break out across the world. You did just if you ever say venture outdoors, the sky people are getting along, so we voted differently, But we have things in common. Okay, Let's go have a beer. Why not? Separate. Then you would know the interested of all had, in fact been broken. But absent that evidence? No. The Internet is not broken. But Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. So in this article, they're saying that they don't bathe. Every day. Now. She has an interesting way of putting the parts that she bathes. But we can't say it on the radio. It's you know, hips beeps from souls. What pitch you can say pits pits. Souls. Those are the only two I believe that we can say so. She gets all the places that produce the stank. Uh yeah, he says Aston Kuta basically says, just pits. And groin. And he says he has not washed the rest of his body ever like he doesn't He gets it wet, but he doesn't. He doesn't use soap because it depletes the natural oils. What about the hair? My mom's not counting shampoo. It's good to not wash by the way, by the way. Is that true? Like the whole natural oils like I always hear these stories like every morning I have a person I lather deodorant on because, uh, handy person because It's just It's like it's like, uh, I don't know, obviously sort.

Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis' Stance on Bathing Their Kids Goes Viral

"Kunis and Ashton Kutcher revealed on a podcast recently that they don't believe in bathing their kids soap every day. I have two kids. I don't know how that happens. Um, hold on. I'm sorry. I was just on the board. What did you say? They don't bathe their kids with self every day that this is what they said. Now, here's the thing If you can see the dirt on them clean them. Otherwise, there's no point. Yeah body odor. But whatever, Nick said, you saw a bunch of memes of like the daycare like showing like excitement, though they were showing other kids like this is what other kids faces look like When Mila and Ashton kids walk in, and they're all like holding their noses and I mean, I sort of see what they're saying, like Bernie and Billy don't shower every single day. But like now, Bernie's getting older when he goes and plays basketball, like saying no soap. Yeah, no, but you gotta get in there and you gotta you gotta put himself

"The rich. Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. We eat them. We don't burn them. Yeah, we don't want them to. Well done. Oh, gosh. Al dente, a Me like hearing as she revealed earlier this month, the story was Ashton Kutcher telling us. Then he decided to forfeit what his ticket on one of Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic flights because Mila Kunis told him not to go because he was a dad now and he needed to stay on Earth. Well, now with this, I can't Well, but wait, there's dad. No. You need to stay here on the we had about a space. Yeah, So then Ash better wear your helmet. He didn't give the ticket away. He actually sold it back. So he wasn't even generous with that He got his money back now reflecting on this experience. Wow. What a rude thing to do me. Look, units now tells people dot com That she regrets asking, asking Ashton Kutcher to return the ticket because it was a moment of panic. I feel like they had, like a dinner conversation where she was like, honey. I've been carrying this around for a long time. I'm sorry. I didn't let you go to space. I really I was just concerned that you know something would happen And it was just really good, actually like moment when you think about like humans that seems like an actual conversation People would have like Okay, That's a really risky thing. And what if your what if you don't come back Well, but it's such an un relatable conversations something you're going. Yeah, but for something that's very vanity driven like that is a tight and entirely vanity trust. I would have been on the thing. And if Jamie was like well, think about wheezy, I'd be like she'll be fine. You'll be fine. There's an insurance policy with your name on it will be good. You're going to be fine now. Mila Kunis is saying that the conversation was driven by hormones. Where she said, you're going to die is going to explode. This thing is that story. Just busy Being a woman, a woman. She was busy being a hysterical woman, and Mila says. That being the sweet man that Aston was he decided to please his wife because that's happy wife happy life, so I didn't go to space because Put my wife first. Yeah. No, that's just so relatable. Now. Mila wants everyone to know that she would probably have let him go to space now, but it's too late. Just, uh I can't. I would just say her like Thanks for that. Let down who reported? This fact people good. That does me Now. There are a lot of times you bring me, not you. But the world brings me People magazine stories and I roll my eyes or I go. I can't believe that passes journalism. This story, though I would like to submit it for all the awards. Because that that was beautiful. Everything about that. It really did. It just was the gift that keeps on giving. Every time I thought we were done with this story. There was another moment Village. Oh, misogyny. Yeah, I had it all. Now. The reason that she's and headlines is because she's trying to sell her own n F T. I was going to say there's fungible tokens. There's a reason we've been talking about them lately in this obviously explains it because they've been in headlines Now. I think for the week Well, yeah, because yesterday it was about how they don't bathe their kids. But, you know, by all means, what? Buy a ticket to space non fungus tokens that she's trying to Phil, for there's an episode of a Web series called Stoner Cats That's looped in with Mila Kunis is N F T s Okay, So she's trying to sell you something.

Used Paddington bear. I feel bad for Paddington through with the pepper pig. Books I'd do it. There's some books I'd do it and then some books that I don't deny give stories just in general without books. Well he's really good at every night that I tell a story from real life. You can't do imaginary story though. She now knows everything about us. Commissioner from your life and you're like all right let me think about a story when I was eight years old uncle Mike and I used to and so she's always she's asked questions all the time about all of our lake when we were little much deeper well than the tell me imaginary after a while you run out of story so he has to go and start creating stories from real life because you story because I mean I told her. I thought this girl who sat in front of me in Second Grade was a mermaid now she thinks mermaids are real thing we've had to stop them or may talk because she's like I expect Mermaid but back before. Tell me Sir from your life it was telling me a story yeah emitted always says to have a full house. Okay like we have to have a learning curve in their. Maybe like Jesse Jesse Jesse per share are all the stories have been lately. I will say I think we're we're in tune on this one if there's like learning lesson the day like if one of the kids didn't do something they're learning what it gets injected into the story of life and so they ended the day like you know. When I was little and Uncle Mike took train. I got so upset. I didn't know what to do last night. I told this story because you know when she was playing soccer and she got really upset and I told the story about how when I played basketball against the neighbors and lost for like months on end and then it is always like a learning lesson to yeah. It was like there's a whole thing about leadership and like how I used to get really mad at my brother because he wasn't playing good enough and I would tell them you're not doing a good enough job. And then in the one time that we won every he did something good. I told him that he did something good. And then he played better and better better than we won like after school lessons. Okay have you ever had to get out of a speeding ticket? I can tell you the story for sure. One hundred percent of a really good story. I was sixteen because I must have just had my driver's license so yeah like sixteen seventeen. I was speeding. The by radical in from my parents house where I still lived so exactly what it was on sweetser in like Willoughby and I was at a stop sign and I know I didn't stop like those. Of course it ends up and rolled stop sign yet and probably going at speed limit is like you know whatever ten miles an hour that was probably going twenty miles an hour and and I got pulled over and I was like. Oh my God I I'm GonNa get into trouble if I get a ticket. I want Israel and so I'm gonNA tell story I started crying tears. Just here's and I noticed was a male cop and I was like okay can work this often the story and no. I don't I don't condone this and no one should do this. Male cop comes over. I put my window down and Mike Foale Tears Matt Hormonal Sixty. But was this real tears or meteors. I can put on a show. Okay so this pictures will but but looking real. I know that's ongoing and then proceeded to tell him that I was on my period. I've done this okay and I I need to get home bleeding everywhere and I don't know what to do and my parents live right there. I just to get home and kept saying in the suite. Poor COBB was like Oh oh okay just you know what? You're old enough to know what to do so next time. Just be more prepared. You can go now love it. That was at the ticket that ticket. Yeah doesn't anytime but it's about creating sympathy right. I created a really well. I think gene can be useful and I got out of a fifty dollars. I didn't get in trouble either and I've been running late for a flight before. David Joe Like I've never been able to use the period. Anything condone this theme. But it's very pocket if you have to reach down there it's just something that happens a couple times in life. I'm on my period. I've also had to cut the line at the airport. Okay last thing. We're going to do if you're down. Yeah it's just a quick role play not in that form I'm GonNa give you a prompt and in you. Just give me like a thirty second version of how you would play this role. So the first one is for you. Mila urine interviewee pitching for the job. Yeah Job let's say it's a marketing manager and I'm trying to get you. I'm your man. I'm the hiring manager. Yeah you're pitching me for the job. What's your closing statement after this hour long interview? We've had another backstory. My character. Okay you did. I go to college. "Welcome to teach me something new. I'm your host Brit Morin and this is a production of iheartradio and Britten. Co All my life. Everyone's told me I should focus on being good at one thing. What the truth is. I'm curious about a lot of things. But how do you learn about everything? The answer make the world's best experts teach you in less than an hour so come along with me as we all learned something new in today's episode of teach me something new my co host and husband. David is sit down with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. We wanted to know if acting as a skill they use in their real lives and if they have any tricks for us they break down some of the biggest tips they learned as actors and gets pretty hilarious. Believe it or not this is their first podcast together and I in depth interviews together since their days on that seventy. Show take a listen. We're thrilled to have meals. Coons Ashton Kutcher joining us today. They're here to teach US something new about acting specifically acting skills. We can all use in everyday life. Is that what this is Kgo homework? You were like out of the fetus acting. I'm pretty sure naturally I feel like I can put on a falk in all about it. Yeah explain how different you and I. You're very well aware of how different you and I are acting. We are very different acting. How did you guys start acting? I started when I was nine now. I fell at Lisa. Frank added that it was after I mean everybody was annot coblets nine year old at that. Okay I came to the states when I was seven. I'll give you a quick world comes as when I was seven. I was a little shy learned English. My parents were like well. She's precocious to say the least at. But I was very shy because they didn't speak the language very well. Those thing advertised on the radio called Beverly Hills Studios And it was advertised as a fun place for kids to meet other kids and it was like on a Saturday class for spivey hours and you had to edition and you see if you get in everyone got it so I got an and they're like cool your daughter so talented. We need a check for six hundred dollars. You know is one of those things such a scam total scam. My Dad like hail. No because maybe we had six hundred dollars in the bank account at that time. I mean like maybe somebody had left in. My mom was like I'm gonNA write the check so she wrote the check to this day for like. Why did you write the checks? Because I don't know I had a feeling so she wrote back to these classes. My parents worked multiple jobs full-time and I met my manager. Who's my manager to this day? That makes it twenty seven years. Wow Andrews driving down the street saw gaggle of kids and was like yeah. This seems like a good place pulled over and was like what's is this like. It's an acting studio. She was on a major hotel. La Story went to showcase. My parents were like listen. If you want to do this at nine you have to make the decision if we want to go to other agents and other managers and for whatever reason I chose Susan Curtiss and then here we are. Did you know inside your heart like this is what I want to know? Because at nine years old it started. Understand what this is. It's not like social media existed where it gave you. A trajectory of life is possibly going like. There was no way of seeing from eighty. It kinda was like oh I can play. Pretend fun at the time. It seemed like so much fun like I can just say these words and people give me accolades and pay attention to me right dope like that's all it was we all know where it's ended up in Ashton. What about you did a play in middle school and when I was six or seven th grade or something like this and I got a laugh while one laugh one lab. Okay just in the way that the plane like the fief in this play and I was like this is amazing and that was it and I did. Every single play through all of middle school. Every single play in high school was in like the Thespian society and competed instinct competitions for acting and then you immediately different. I think it would like psychoanalyze. I think it was like being the middle kid of three and like my brother had a heart transplant were thirteen. I think it was just like literally just getting attention was like the drug that I got hooked to. And then we're the technical aspects interesting like how to do it. No I mean I was just kind of like flying by the seat of my plants and showing up and I was also in sports and other things so I would come to like half of the rehearsals and then it was show night just like turn on just go it was all just fully instinctual and then I just fell in love with it city. You think it's an innate ability or can anyone act I. I don't know if we agree on this. I think that there's a general sense of being able to play. Pretend really well that you can sort of see at a young age and some people kind of have that talent and some people need to really work on that talent and I think with enough work you can get to a certain point but you may never get to the point of the people that are hyper successful in that field. If you don't have some version of that any talent like you can learn all the mechanics of acting but being able to pull it off and have confidence in it in the moment and throw yourself all the way in. That's a whole other thing. I see meal do things as an actor that I go. I don't even know how you're doing that right that I just like. Look up to and admire so much. 'cause she just has this capacity fully jude things. I just don't understand how she's doing whereas like I can do with the mechanics all day long to get there and never get to the places that she goes. What's your take on that question? Can anyone be an actor? I actually agree see. I agree with that. Yeah I do think that that. I think that anyone can act. I do think that anybody could be put into play. Anybody can do it like your skill is your voice. Your body like a form of that right but as far as being successful at acting. I do believe at an early age. There's a certain type of people that just innately have good imagination or the ability. You know our kids are the best rankings. Finance our kids are in different classes ripe. So they're like dance class or this class Full disclosure my. My children are going to be dancers. Okay that'll never happen Mike and promise you my kids are. Could THEY DANCE. Yes yes do they love it yes do I think they're the greatest human beings ever created. Of course I do but they are kids in their dance class that I look at that I go. Oh well clearly that kid if wants to he can or she can succeed by it. I think it's like one of these things I think the NBA or like the NFL or like any of those things where it's like. If you work incredibly hard and you're semi-athletic you could be successful to a certain level But to go pro you either have to have like some physical capacity that most people don't have like I mean. I watched like this Guy Tyreek Hill for Kansas City. And he's like running like four to forty and you're just like that's insane. Like if I tried to tackle tyreek Hill that would be impossible to maneuver. Just wouldn't be so. I think there's a point where you go. You know the system kind of filters out the people that don't have some volatility. Yes we're like. What the back next semester. Yeah which I think is every industry. I think when you find your calling us because you have found your x-factor guests like a you clearly found yours but you both of you did. Like add really is true. Yeah so you can get a really good generalists at how you're acting styles different from one another out. Say how we're different doing? Take you to a median sir. I this is how we're different. I can click in and out of character. No problem In between cakes can snap out of rain between scenes out of it. My husband has to live it now. What does that mean like similar live it became becomes that character a little bit throughout the process? He comes home and he still has the same body mannerism or the same voice or the same you know. Xyz It's weird. And maybe just the way that I deal with it but I almost look at acting as therapy..

"Sit it should be the fastest Google search maybe one of you listeners will find it and then like tweet it your way yeah they will but that's GonNa be a while from now because uneven start we don't have that kind of time we already have to talk to my sister-in-law about the repercussions there's a lot that needs to happen okay okay in the back waters nothing left in there this is my confidence a Muslim sets like a seven dollar a cup of Coffee Oh yeah I spent wrote my heart I think he spent six dollars is like is it just coffee yes it's Alfredsson mice oatmeal clock says when next to yes yeah and almost as what county kills you kills you kills your wallet I know a defect that they tried they charge extra because you're lactose fuck you man it's not my fault I can't that's your fucking meal are you charging me extra are you also chosen to yes yes me well then you start a fuck you for charging six extra cents for platform for milk it's up a tampon tax like why am I paying the price for something I can't control or why am I having to live with the shame of my parents of having sex related cherry me I go to I agree because I am much intolerant Yes for two dollars because they for a splash yeah because they hand made it they made their own milks I'd pay extra because they made it it's it make their own oatmeal but it's not two dollars worth I don't know how much it takes to make oatmeal guys out it's outs milk some outstay milk in your milking a cow but it was a theory Oh squishing them breath hands by the way have you ever milked a cow I milked a cow two years ago for the first time in Charleston and we went to like one uh an old manor house and they had whatever and my daughter and I were there and they had a cow if you wanted to milk it yeah I'm milked a cow it is very penile light it is like you're jerking off cow fleshy less she now have to squeeze down you have to stroke it down and you have to squeeze it was so Dan job that I was not old enough to I was like I did it and I looked at Jeremy like this book seems familiar it's not usually this many in a row and then my daughter wanted to do it and then I had to watch her milk this cow trying to be like this rape in my head being like this is her sexual this is my daughter's first time it was crazy it was I was not expecting as anyone else account here I think I also did when I was very young okay are you like this is what it feels like when I touch myself at night I don't recall Tony Anytime I go to him with a question is it I don't recall I don't recall lightly wink at me did he feel like you were touching yourself did rank and I apologize now one thing you should know is that Tony barely know each other oh and that's part of the podcast is because most people tell you if you're gonNA start podcast it's really fun it's really easy start with somebody of chemistry start with someone you know an old friend I went a different direction and started with a perfect stranger you just hide emphasis on perfect no mic guys find each other I asked a couple of friends of mine Chris Hardwick Jimmy Pardo who both have podcast I said I was looking for somebody to they've someone they recommend both recommended Tony Okay and then we sat down we met him he's a great let's do this but we legitimately don't know each other so we're getting to know each other through the podcast or the podcast because is adults it's hard to make new friends I don't make new friends which is one of the things that I was just about to talk about it is very difficult guest it's very diffe to make new friends yes I've some has not done this I have literally so many thoughts have you read the art of gathering yes so it's I'm not saying this is the greatest book ever written by all means yeah but it was one part of it that struck a chord with me and it was the idea of exclusive it's just as important as inclusion yes and remember that part Yeah Okay spindle I have some guilt over like including a sir in Taipei Blake Cooper friends at times here and there and everywhere in the became a thing where I realized because of not I don't have that much free time in my in my life assume when I do it's almost like having a uniform for a wardrobe like I just want to have like the four consistent friends and that's it and so I've changed the way that I life this year and I'm like you know what I don't have to be friends with with people out of guilt or out of necessity and huge it's food shifts I feel like I it's hard and through that Shit's very hard but I did that a couple of years ago and it opened my life up yes it just it just different like there's a consistent I don't like it's literally like having a uniform your this is what I like and that's okay and this was there for that purpose and this was for that reason and and that's a beautiful thing and it doesn't have to go on and be something he doesn't have and I think that's part of because part of the podcast is a theme of were all you know technically grown people unquestionable questionable we all feel questionable but as the the calendar yet says and you have children you pay bills you a you go to work you work hard you have appointments you're functioning person but you don't have to be lame that it doesn't have to be the grownup I was scared of yes moving forward but one of the things and I have had listeners and stuff submit questions one big thing is now that I'm a grown up how do I make new friends that's a big feet like and one of that is you sort of have to shift out of the old friends you were friends with because you had a lot of free time but you don't have anything in common with anymore and that bring a lot of drama into your life this is yes this is my gear this year and I think that is a big growing up stage that's what the the gathering influenced me to do was oddly that interesting idea of like you know what this is okay yeah it's it was it's actually necessary because we limited time and limited energy actually and I did an episode in the second season June rayfield played my friend Jill where we used to waitress together and we always have a birthday today other s and it was basically that was what this was sort of a bow yes was like when we were waitressing we had stuff in common that was fifteen years ago yet she brings a lot of drama not bad person I but I just I give her good advice and it goes nowhere like a can't hear the same stuff yes it's a it's a broken record you have something that you try to fix the allies you can't but you're stuck listening yes ain't broken record and they're like why am I listening to this yeah when I can be the idea behind this for me is always been if nurture solar nurture your brain and if you're not doing either you gotta go that's like a guy that's a good breaking it down to its basic you're right she thinks notre my soul yet for my brain like feed my brain like Yeah Give me some brain candy more like warm my heart yeah but it's simple and then I found myself being in these cycles friendship yet were doing neither the end of the day because I have kids now because I'm married because I have a copen shaw him and like yeah priorities changed when you do WanNa make a friend tell me how to do it I haven't made a friend I just recently made a friend last year that was my first friend in like ten years well one thing is hard to keep it going that's what I find because you have limited time and to get a friendship off the ground ordered back when you're dating dating after on you have to like a tight and you have to have the time to get like two in a week or one every week and keep the momentum going yeah and now we have our friends where you cannot see them five months and you talk everything's normal to get a new one off the ground I'm you know it's rare to meet someone that you're like okay I'm willing to Bush make this effort or like if I have a Wednesday night free I guess I'll spend it with you spend my whole thing is like do we the truth is my husband and I make friends together now yeah it makes things way easier like it's a unfortunately like if I like the wife and he likes the husband or by like the husband and I so I think it has to be a dual relationship otherwise we just don't have time for it which I think is totally common and very normal I think the one thing like what have you put in place in your life because feel like as a grown person yeah you still you're still funny and edgy and sexy and yourself yeah do you think you put anything into place to put yourself with a higher chance of success of happiness at this at this point do you think if there's anything like you did or a mind something that you keep in mind that has put you there anyway does that make any sense yeah I think at this is D- I don't know if this answers it but by the way I love Seville I don't know if this is going to be a cheesy answer or not but I genuinely am grateful for my life every day like I can honestly say I remind myself of how amazing my life is every every morning like I try to meditate I do on that but like I'm also hyper aware of how truly love lucky and grateful my husband and I are for the life that we have yet for each other and for our families in the independent stuff and so I think because of that I do every day to its fullest I and that's that I jump out of planes everyday like it's not that I'm so insanely grateful for everything every single day maybe overly so because I don't I'm so nervous about it all kind of exploding one way that I just WanNa be grateful for everything that I have I very rarely lane I think as a as a.

"Who Andrea savage a grown up woman hashtag bottles thanks for tuning in to me and the tone underway it's like an airplane gate happening today but does it have enough this is never for the record never I've I've had ever since I was like one is just me forgetting about someone not the point that I fuck so many people that I don't remember who had sex with it was just like people to how many people do you meet every give yourself credit like come on at the end of the day you meet a lot of people and you're saying and think of all the people I haven't had sex with yeah and give myself a pat on the back now singles as I was gonna say yes a late late thirties and has had plenty of fun so I can't imagine she remembers everyone how's that be shocked Ben I feel like that's an appropriate story for her but this this will emmy image the Jeremy was putting across and then I was like will you call me lend hell her and he was like no do you think it's weird that your husband and I have these conversations why that I was a county that even come Ugh I don't know conversations and it's weird it's what happens when you work with someone for long your oddly way too comfortable yeah and then like all right I gotta go by won't also we we live in her house and we were were redoing a fireplace and we're looking timeout doing board form concrete I guess so boring and I don't know why he mentioned that to you on the phone in or why it came up and you're like oh I know everything about board foreign country and look at our board firm concrete and then he's like Oh meals said we can go look at her board how do I don't know we have the I can say incredibly obscure conversations we also talk about books I mean I feel like I have a very nice I love your husband doesn't sound like the saying is that funny guy saying I love you well anyway so you inspired a story line I'm so happy you work with Joey and I work with Joyce Layman who worked with WHO says Hello I adore her I spoke to her this morning she's bad ass she's about as she's so funny she says and she adores you as well I'm so excited to be in a story does my character have my name yes it's Choo it's somebody my husband works with okay he's an entertainment lawyer on the show Yep Tom Every Scott's character and watch your show okay well I know Jeremy this it he not telling you he did he had a tooth pulled and all these compliments they start out great and then it's like well let me back a little bit still you were trapped and you were unable to do anything else yes and I chose your show I watched it oh yeah an end to one one and two oh so what happened is I have very I don't watch TV yeah I can honestly say I watch television I watched one show week is what I can because I keep falling asleep or possibly to so now spatula paradise unlike nanotubes and both shows last main entire week yes so I'm very eight or watch lots of pilots so rightly so my tooth pulled out like well I've got to do something today so I guess I'll just watch it and it was like the the thing about everything about let me give you a compliment and I was like I heard the show is so can acres and your podcast yeah I was like I I'm sorry so you funny I am highs a kite I wanna laugh okay so I was like I'm going to watch him sorry five hours later I was still watching I call Jeremy House right yeah you're once shows really fucking funny and he's like I know and I was like okay cool by watching the whole thing it took me a minute to watch it I think I watched it doc two three weeks but it was great like really funny show thank you also very relatable of the kids at the school I was you know yeah and that has been converted subsidiary mold lame That I make myself come off way more delightful on that show than I am and it quick on that show you are you are sharp also the the restaurant that you go right out with your writing I go to all the harvest moon yeah I'm there all shoot anything in Sherman Oaks in Studio City I don't know how I ran into there but I do Guy Frequent your harvest moon I really do I like other places fantastico but like all like Augustine and we know that the wine bars on the show twice in lots of Sherman Oaks Studio City style have you got to Sushi note across the street yes places this and you know it's I know the same piece of how I got introduced to all of this was again going back to fucking Jeremy it's be funny but every road act now this podcast is really just an excuse for me to like laugh and for people that I like in delay me over to my home which is beautiful thank you And but I do like to talk about some people like obviously you are known for a lot of different movies and television shows but I like to focus on some of the more are early works Opel this is awful and but just because I feel like those jobs are the ones where you're like jumping up and down when at them like you're so excited they're so seminal in your life and then there'll be a period of like fifteen jobs you barely will remember but when you got Sanchez on the John Larroquette show guest walk me through that audition process and walk me through the feelings when you got it okay so this is you know early nineties mid nineties right where the industry wasn't as politically correct crack yeah yeah so when I was like nine ten eleven I looked what is now referred to as quote ethnic uh-huh it because I was dark haired right case so then all of a sudden it became the Korean ethnicity and I was on lots of lots of commercial roles on Telemundo University Elman I was speak any Spanish noble at one word but I looked the part so would get lots of those parts yet I would just be like ethnic meant nondescript but not want it yeah okay so when I addition for the John Larroquette show I had not it was too adult like I think it was like nine or ten yeah also I don't really we'd scripts at nine or ten I just read my side and I was like cool it's this random show and I play like this young girl I didn't what was happening didn't know John Larroquette was unite the mothers show I show up to the table read and it was the first and only table raid where I've are there was so much cursing I have never in my life witness because y'all are gets really funny where he has a potty mouth but it was a it was a network show but he is just a potty he's a and I was ten years old and I remember going to this because I was like that's so many bad words of that's my daughter now well now now I'm a buck and sailor but at nine I was a lady and that was like melting questionable yeah I was shocked by it was a great experience gentler chow and we're on radio and you were playing a young daughter to A lady a young daughter to lady I I know I was supposed to be asleep in one scene that was maybe like my favorite okay and then data that show once or twice I don't remember it says once once they got so clearly I wasn't back because I know who's these Sanchez didn't didn't have an art but she was important to that one story Lee was Yes I don't remember what it was I really don't I wish I did I think I don't know what's the job that you remember your first job you got where you were aw Oh my God I just booked a fucking television John like I'm going to do this you are so young that I'm wondering if you had any recollection John of all of that now because it was just like a fun hobby yeah that that my parents allowed me to do yeah as long as they stayed in school yeah so it wasn't the intent of a career or with the intent of fame or anything other than all I I this fun yeah and so the first thing that I got that I remember being like Oh that's kind of cool is a movie Roger Corman film called Piranha that was with Solaiman Fry and William cats well those deadly fish and that was like the first thing I That I remember going Oh this is really cool like I yeah but it wasn't any different than any thing else but the first one that I got that I spoke at was days of our lives that was the first time I had to do like a scene with a boy and add to kiss him and I'll never forget that you had to kiss a boy yet like nine years old I two days of our lives can I play young hope and that I'll always remember because I was like this is so lake weird I have to kiss somebody that never kissed anybody and the we'll how old were you nine I think cheek but it was still like a big deal like you had to kiss when I was like what I was trying to shoot like why days of our lives that they have the hope making out at nine the house she started off young young hope you know it was the ninety s it was a different time people fast but and just ethnic the ethnic I mean without nondescript was other things yeah it was bad yeah I don't WanNa get myself in trouble but back in the day it was the industry was oh it was different and I talked about this I played a Brazilian exchange student was my first job and played a Mexican that was racist against send Jews well how to really look inside yourself because I didn't look Russian or Jewish which by the way guys you bear lashing do that but you look you look like that so you should play the racist girl and I was like okay cool oddly I was like it's just play pretend so a big deal like I didn't I don't think it would I think about that you know because you know you work with child actors like it's such a different thing to start as an adult totally different and what you're focused on in like that first job and like but sweet valley high I played resilient exchanged you watched all of Sweet Valley High I played Renata Vargas these resilient for the whole last season I came here last season and what I was saying this is like one they didn't sheriff my accent was torchy's it was not and I was like to work on it they were like nope this is great you're Weirdo over the top thing and I would have love fruit on my head ruffles but then also love burritos totally but then also talk about writing a borough but then also live in Amazon Rain jungle and then also do Voodoo just threw it all yeah you should really watch maker wish molly little offended what is it that's why the racist Mexican that was the one yes I was loved it what was the what was it teaching US racism good or bad don't be right okay Enqueso harming so I feel like it would be hard to be like I wasn't a very nice character in this one guy is very racist but I wore lots of ethnic you're GonNa say you should really this is in the world of your okay I'm GonNa check that out that's fantastic you're welcome find this hoover ooh okay I apologize if this is the thing that end your career in my baby this is it this is if I had twitter this is when the twitter people will be like your suck like that's my version of twitter fuck those guys are you on twitter you are I am because I have to be I am not great on the social media and I try to limit it I don't like read twitter all day I don't I kinda post and then I step away yeah I kind of do it it it's it's it's not not the not the best for the mental health getting although I will say I have like I am so lucky on social media people are so kind to me and I'm like the other you know she was going to drop at some point but it's pretty good maybe attract kindness last night compliment I but I was gonna say attracted kindness then I'm not sure it would be like so I was incapacitated literally nothing else was on television I'd had my tooth poll I literally had no other alternative and I forced my eyes across that does against all right we're gonNA take a quick break and we're GONNA be right back with us hi it's Andrea listen if you're enjoying the PODCAST.

"My name is MIA and here's how I say but holes and hello and welcome is that part of the billing on the show now we change in the title Hashtag buttonholes and the tone yeah sure I'll take it it sounds like the tone might be something that's near the Butthole yes so decide if that's the direction that you WanNa go I mean you're still exactly it's it's kind of a big deal right good publicity still publicity well we'd also have no idea at this point where the show stands as we said before a lot of people have heard that yet but it could be one of the biggest disasters of all time and that is what we're going for because I don't WanNa fall in the middle of their huge success out of the gate or biggest disaster this world has ever seen exactly nobody talks about the middle now nobody talks about the middle for Malcolm we can cut that out because the people need to know what I Joe with when I walk in in the other day the other day you just said to me right before we started and I was joking around with you about something you're like Orley it's like I said it's too early for this bullshit meaning the things you were saying to me in terms of I said hey is there anything you want to talk about the intro and you're like he has a couple I guess I was like Oh fuck come on we'll because on the other side of that if I he got this grade story then you're GonNa lay into me anyway so in so hard as I've learned quickly I can't win so I'd I'm not even just I just not even trying Tony I have a question for you okay that I was thinking about in our bid of friendship as becoming adult friends which is not an easy task to do what is your middle name what is my middle name you WanNa you WanNa make a game out of this for sure D- what is it Robert Nina classic it's not a common name your first name actually anthony no Toni my name is just straight up Tony what are you a big mix it's things like anytime I try to talk to my family during a mix of fact no one's quite sure but it's it's English I think is the heavier on a scale of one to ten how slutty would you categorize your family and ancestors I I'd I'd like to hope for a ten I'm Tony we are going to be best friends that answer my heart just opened an envelope gio that's the right attitude to have some fun you know I one hundred percent okay so is the middle the middle name sort of a classic Middle Name Yeah let me let me rage and let me tell you you're I guess right out of the Gate Robert was right not too far off let me say this here's your first letter is correct Richard Yeah they are you serious guesses impressive either we're meant to be just for one or number two I have a gift from God of Guessing People's middle names on the second guess can I tell you right now my dad's names Richard you and my older brother's middle name is Richard and I have an uncle Richard That's my dad's middle name as well did anyone in your family go by Dick my dad's MCI my dad goes by Dick Savage now that's the name that isn't him Dick Savage my my dad's longtime Kinda go you dad line because his name is actually Herald Richard so some people call him herald some people call him Dick and so he loved he not that he but he loves he loves to go with you dick as his Goto dead joke it's it's more of introducing himself people harold but you can call me Dick I've notes I didn't say it was good I'm just I I'd love to get on the phone with Herald you can call me Dick and be like hair herald you have great opportunity his there's Harry Dick and the first one to point this out family Kim well I didn't I don't know if I've ever it was definitely friends have said to me a lot okay personal friends not the cast of friends just for clarification thank you so much guys welcome I was under the impression that you were hanging out with the Class very close with the twins and the courts all right we have Mila Kunis coming in today very exciting me Ella first of all you know her from Black Swan bad mom's obviously the seventy show family Guy Ted one of one of my favorite movies and you haven't even mentioned the friends with benefits no all right but is it forgetting Sarah Marshall Oh my God she's so good in that so good in that yes that's a a known and popular movie yet I feel still under I agree and that was a great movie I love that movie so much that we spent a few days of our honeymoon staying at the Turtle Bay resort which is where most of the movie takes place I'd love it if you pull back on that when meals here I feel like that sounds going live all right Mr Schoener photos and I'll tell you right now just make a choice either you ignore it or you go so hard this is the epic disaster that we've been waiting for now meal is somebody yeah I know but we're not super close but I absolutely love every time I hang out with her and it's like I wanNA hang out with this person and more and I'm so excited that she came to do this I'm assuming this'll probably be the end of our budding friendship but I had you know I'll have my our you're but she's fantastic and I'm I really excited to sit down with her and one of those voices that travels d-notice begin to record this in that people will here yeah yeah I only saw every sound I ever just lower the volume now yeah because I do animated show for eighteen years yes two seconds to realize you don't need to amp up like they know and there's like a streaming line at this point and pretty good I'd be like I'm so sorry he does because I know my voice is just a gorgeous while that's one way of saying it I like to talk about the shrieking shrill will you have a lovely voice so please how Jerry don't it is pure saying you're delusional you're genuinely delusional I do not have using voice my somebody my brother dated once had a piercing boys unlike anything I've ever experienced in my life like I should recorded her before they broke up I can't even mimic it if I did you I don't know if you would believe me is was at yes like that and imagine a laugh that like that laugh from friends like that one character member DNS Janet's no it wasn't it was that but imagine in credit I can't like so high pitched guys that almost like a dolphin it's also made me cringe and I was like Oh my God if that's going to be for the rest of my life how long did they date for was there any concern we're gonna be for life because he was a grown-up at that point like this was as an adult this was an adult relationship Olea had I hope she's not listening well let me I can promise you she's not I can promise you nobody you're worried about listening is linear prize this has this theory and shit about people and see who texts me thank you what I had planned let's see if anyone's fucking attention one thing that I woke up this morning and I was like this is an weird thing I when I sleep I sleep with a big USC wake up sleeping mask and earplugs every night like the wax earplugs or like no foam once sleeping ones so they're a little softer I woke up with one of my ear plugs in my underwear this morning I get there I don't know I woke up but I wanted your plug in okay but that happens sometimes and it falls out and I searched around and then I went to change any earplug fell out of my underwear and I have been reeling really got in there how it got in there it wasn't like bottom of my the crotch part is in the back of the front but like kind of right at the time and how would it possibly have gotten in once fell out but they've never ended up in the front of my underwear I don't think I was doing anything with it I don't think it was sexual in nature well but again how do I get your sexual nature that I will tell you I didn't get any pledged and then I'm disappointed that if I went to the lengths is that clearly my body wanted to go to and I don't remember it then how can I mean maybe you're just rolling around then that is kind of tucked itself in its so far for me that year timeline Jeremy for this I don't know why but I feel like that's a good salad think my husband yes woke up yes edit alarm plug out took one and then lifted in the run of my underwear yes just so I would be the next day who was married to somebody you've had von I would never leave the house are very different we are very different very diff- Yes now I know you through Jeremy Rest like that's how I I yeah we are like you were fun Jeremy Way way more fine I would say it's not even the Lotto with you I agree and I just drew I feel like everyone in the room agree at all facts guy these are just facts this is just science yes now when Jeremy listens to this one listener ah because he also because like you where he is aware but he also disagrees than he spends a lot of time which never goes well trying convince me how much fun other people think he is rather than that's not even the biggest slake I'd rather like he drink urine the need poop right and that is the most raggedy legs men Jerry Amis he is your agent though so I'll say he probably is never like fully relaxed while i have his from out by that's true that's true he does he does appreciate good sense of humor so we actually is he actually is funnier than given credit for it just makes me laugh when he tried to convince me that I'm wrong and other people these funny and I'm like okay and he's like don't fuck and say okay hey but mean no fucking way there's no world where this is GonNa get convinced of either one of us he's nice to you know the there you are there's no way you would know this there is a story line and I'm sorry that is oddly revolves around a conversation he had with you Oh yes oh good I'm so happy to inspire this something was this an argument Jeremy and I have some good blowouts it was not an argument was a story he told you yes I know what you're going at it's my favorite story it has to be what we're thinking is it well what is it was it trades traits Bra oh no no I don't even think you This is this is the misery of Maccarone, only Oh Mike. my God. The middle. I'm sorry. What, what, what do I call you your last name is, is it Merrill, MRs Merrill? Yeah. Okay. I called me net. Neither on your podcast. Oh, I did my God. I thought you were. I thought this was like a character actress playing the part of mad Gorlitz mom. But you really are his mom. I am his mom. Yes. Well, let me may call you Welford. What do you prefer? Mrs merrill. I want to be respectful. No. Welford. It's fine jewelry, nickname wealth. Your nickname is well, okay. My husband started calling me mom. Tell them your full name all the names. Oh my gosh. Okay. Catharine. Welford. Noland. Mordon Gauri Meryl. Like, did you come over? Unlike seven may flowers is that what happened they'll crashed into each other. Given for names at birth. So and tell them what you, call me money. Why do you call Matt money? Well, my two youngest place when they were real little couldn't say that for some reason, they were wounded money. Maybe they just had distaste for him. And well anyway, I won't go there that's seems cruel, you know what, my mother calls me and I'm not kidding. No. I don't we shouldn't just. It was a rhetorical question. No, my mother. My mother calls me pigeon pie. What? Yeah. My mother will still to this day, I'll call up. And I'll go. Hello, Mott's Conan and she'll say, well, Hello there pigeon pie. Oh, that's all I'm ever going to call it. You now cave. Yes. Can do that right up to the moment term of endearment? I think so. He's very hungry, and we'll eat anything. Well, I wanted to talk to you about your son. Matt gowrali. You know, MS mad Corelli. We just call them money. But let me ask you something Welford last week. Matt mentioned that it's a regular practice. Both of you like to go to the park together at an appointed time and you like to sketch. Is that correct? Oh, yeah. How long have you been doing this for? I would say, maybe about four times. Now can I ask you some questions as Matt where a big sunhat? No, he does. That's interesting to great artists bell. Is he a good artist? She's the best. She's amazing. No, he is so much better the last time we went sketching I didn't even wanna look at his drawing until I finished mine because I would've stopped doing mine. His it's an architectural type of style very light and airy and mine is very detailed. And just say that you seem like you both have a beautiful special in loving relationship, and it's making me sick to my stomach. I've never gone sketching with my mother, I've never gone sketching with my father. In fact, my father and I have not made I contact since the Lyndon Johnson. I want you to know that. Yeah. To say that sad. No, it's just how we are as Irish Catholics. This is clearly, I'm guessing, what is your denomination, if you don't mind me asking nomination? Yes, yes, yes, your background, your Protestants. So I am not for Trump. This is this is I'm sorry. This is not a robo-call. This robo call for Trump. I don't think many people who go to the park to sketch for Trump. So tell me you say that. What kinds of things are you guys drawing? What's Matt drawing?.

Mornings for breakfast, and she's gone. There's both the kids are little, and so she wants to work there with the waitress named Gloria in shoes. Like I'm gonna come in and work with you here in lorries. Great. When you're nine years old coming on the weekends we have it all planned out. But, you know, there's a funny situation that happened at school. We haven't told my kids or we haven't told our kids what we do how it relates to life, while driving them to school, one day, and there was a Bill, where with my face on it for a movie and my daughter went oh. Yep. Had no comment didn't elaborate nature of home. And I was like, I think that it won't point we're gonna have to figure out how to talk about this, because she knows we play pretend for a living. And that's kind of how we've explained it all on, like sets and whatnot. So the other day she was at preschool. And one of the little boys little friend veteran goes, I saw your mommy daddy on the cover the magazine when I was at the doctor's office in was like, no, you didn't. Daughter, and the little boys, I guess, I did I saw your mom and dad on the cover the magazine. And so she pushed him and was like, no didn't and got very upset about it. And, and so we haven't quite this happened last week, we haven't quite address that situation of, of explaining that aspect or because he didn't say it in a negative way. It wasn't done in like ski can't read. It was just more like your mom and dad are everywhere. Type of thing my kids, like no, there other mind. And you're like, well, one day we're gonna have to explain this. So Ashton, I just literally if you have any advice, we'd literally just discussing, how are we gonna talk about how play pretend effects the rest of our lives? Yeah. I obviously. My experience, as my kids is that they for a long time. I didn't want them to know what I did. I really didn't want them to know what get and I wanted to be the daddy comes home and takes his jacket off in put his briefcase down from work and plays around with them for a long time when the real young and get away with that. "Our bedtime six thirty seven he would come home at six fifteen. And I was like, oh my God. It was either you come home at five or come home at eight, but do not come home in between in this special hour when children are being done. Sleep. I know. But now I don't care now. I genuinely do not care. I think it's great. I really think it's important, it's so important for them to have that because as much as I can do that. It's not the same as I have different energy. I just do like if they get a they hurt themselves. They naturally run to me at if they wanna go and play, and go ape shit and do pretend to be zombie or fish or dinosaur. They definitely go towards main. It's just different play. Now there's this thing I wanna talk about that. It's a little bit of a thread. I'm finding out that's running through this podcast which started as a lark. It's turned this thing that I really love to do, and that is this business that we're in which, which fascinates me. And I'm pretty sure you're gonna know what I'm talking about. But it's a business that attracts a certain kind of person who very much wants validation in this Republic way. And they want their happiness to come in this very public. Forum, and they want it to come. They want the awards, the things that all of us can get sucked into, and it's very interesting to me when I'm talking to someone you in particular who's had an incredible amount of success, but I sense. I know I'm right. That's not where you get your validation from. Is that correct? Yeah. Like that's not what makes you happy happy or fulfilled. You're proud. I'm sure of, of the stuff that you've accomplished don's. Yes. Work hard at it. Yes. So I have I'm definitely proud, and I have, I think a healthy man of ownership over it, right yet, but then you, you, you seem to be someone. Who's figured out the thing that I'm gonna say alludes, a lot of people in entertainment. I don't even think people people who consume entertainment, don't know how truly unhappy some people are work in this business because we have such, we have a culture that. That worships anyone who's in people magazine in smiling and wearing leggings that, you know, are, are selling now that you don't mean they're always walking down the street. I calling a coffee and it's like rocking these new silver leggings that are from a Joe Joe Joe Java collection and you know, and, and we live in this culture, where will that person's to be idolized? Whereas you and I have. No plenty of these people. We know a lot of them personally, and we've worked with them who are absolutely fucking miserable. Correct. And breath depressed. And I almost wanted to, I don't know like sort of just shed a light on how I can't tell you how many times I've drive around this town, Los Angeles and see billboards if people beaming happiness, and in it says, like checkout blank, and they're in their new show, or their sitcom or whatever. And they're giving you that big smile. And I think I know that person and. That's not that person. They're selling you something that's completely wrong about themselves. Yes, I don't know. I I it's weird thing that I've always talked about because I think it's always been fascinating for other people's too. I am not fucked up. And I don't know where, where, what win win like, I, I don't know where the trajectory went this way. I clearly one in this one route not this route because my friends, stay go in this route you had you had friends that that got into it hundred percent. Yep. Into nine yes, I've had so many of my friends that, especially that we're doing this at a younger age, where your little bit more susceptible will, you know, it's interesting, but there are other people.

"This. NFL, quarterback recapping pop quiz recently hung up on a radio interview again. I recently came not a fan of Tom Brady as a. Person I hate this because we're in radio and. They're asking questions people want to, know, something, about his. Trainers. Trainers, now back on his private plane blah, blah blah anyway I don't, want, to, talk, about Ramifications that disclosures that were signed that he cannot talk about it for legal reasons and they keep. Asking, him after they preference there interview we can't ask about this disclosures in an agreement. Signs like there's nothing to do, so when they ask. About. The Spy Who Dumped Me Director Susanna Fogel Interview

"There was a report out this week from USC Annenberg its annual research into inequality in the top one hundred grossing films of the prior year. Literally, the first line in the thing is the needle is not moving onscreen for females in film. Women are still under-represented on camera and they are underrepresented behind it as well of the one hundred nine people who directed a top movie in two thousand seventeen. Just eight of them were women and even more rare than a female director in Hollywood is a female director doing an action. Comedy movie much less such a film with female leads. Redder director, Susanna Fogel is doing it though her movie out tomorrow starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is called the spy who dumped me. Thanks for coming in. Thanks for having me. Tell me why you wanted to make this movie now shameless opportunism and ain't that the way. I mean. You know, the reason is really that I have always wanted to tell stories about friendships and it used to be that there was a place for for friendship stories in in the cinema. And now it feels like there's a a real binary between awards, drama type fair that you buy ticket to and ten pulse. And then I think I started to shift my own paradigm about was there like Jonah hybrid that I could explore that would make my my very small character stories cinematic. And so that's kind of what prompted this whole experience this. This is actually further down Melissa questions that I wanted to ask you about, but you wrote a piece in time magazine a couple years ago about a little bit about the culture of Hollywood sort of gender wise, but also about the culture of Hollywood mentor was and how you find people who can encourage you to do what you wanna do. And I think I think it's it. I think that's a lesser known part of the story of Hollywood today. Yeah. I mean, I think especially for women, it's it's just been hard and I think it sort of in some ways runs across purposes with the very necessary progress around me too. And that because it's sort of like if you're looking for a mentor had a very experienced director and there just aren't a lot of women who've been doing that for that long. Your your options are older men and and those older men probably rightly so have a certain amount of trepidation about entering into a mentorship relationship with the woman. It's kind of something that people don't talk about enough, I think. Have you to change at all in sixteen years you've been doing this? Yeah, definitely. I have felt that there's a lot of receptiveness to female stories now. I think some of it is a little bit. A lot of it is economically driven and driven by just kind of studios wanting to check that box because now they know they have a woman problem that they need to solve. Yeah. Yeah. I, it's hard to suss out what is real excitement to tell underrepresented stories and and what is kind of just kind of people realizing that they need to kind of catch up to the times. But I think it's your one conversation away with a away from knowing whether it's offense or not. You can just talk to people in know whether they're saying, oh yeah, it's just like a guy's movie, but we'll just put a a famous woman in it, and it will be we'll solve our problem, and which is actually like, let's revisit these narratives because we're sick of the same stories over and over will an and that's just to the spy who don't me right? That's it's, it's named after bond movie in it being build and and being written about as a born type thing, but with women. But it's not because the dynamic that you see on screen is just by definition different between two women than it is between mitt. Yeah. It's interesting to me that that now talking about the movie a lot, I think about the politics and the gender politics so much in a way that maybe I didn't when I was just inside it. It's interesting, you know. So now I'm thinking, you know, there's one..

Review: 'The Spy Who Dumped Me'

"Hasn't he thinks a also does ticker, right? Yeah, he has a wonderful, wonderful. Originally Gilbert, Godfrey was supposed to. Busy being. I found it very moving, and surprisingly touching said in the back row weeping for my lost childhood, bring all the things that are no longer available to me, I think is a great family flick. So that's good. I saw the Middleburg film festival had a screening of puzzles. Stowing Kelly MacDonald, right? Yes. And she arrived in town and first of all, I would like to say she's very open about this. She's forty two years old and she looks like she's twenty five, and that's why she is a movie star because I won't tell you how old I am, but I look about thirty years older than that. And it's a nice little. Movie of a of a downtrodden housewife who finds her Mojo doing jigsaw puzzles that she finds a partner and, and you know, it's, it's not exciting. It's not. It's not loud or anything, but it's a nice. It's a, it's a nice coming of age film and don't just Google jigsaw accidentally. Cassava, Papa torture porn totally different than what you. Yes, she is a lovely actress in. We're talking about this the other day. I think it was off Mike, but just some of the things that she's been. She was first in Trainspotting as a child. Essentially, he was the baby on the ceiling. Boardwalk empire. She was in no country for old men. And that's to me because I know she Scottish and beautiful doing the boardwalk empire thing was very hard because she was Irish desires, but the southern Tekere western Texas accent. She had. She might as well been born in Odessa. Here's your own lady bird. How do they do? I don't know. So I'm a big fan and it's it's a lovely movie, and I saw the spy who dumped me the other night because somebody needed to go to that. Kunas and Kate McKinnon, and it's not very good would expect. And Kate McKinnon is squandering her talent. And so I am worried about she is Uber, talented, death, but even I think we all agree and you should never judge a movie on the trailer, and then we saw the trailer. It was like, oh, no, really? And so that you're telling me that my fears are confirmed. They play it like a Saturday Night Live sketch except it's two hours law to our. I wrote this down. It's one hundred sixteen minutes when she's Larry on SNL. I wonder why. I mean, what is it that you Ghostbusters. Needs to develop her own material or work with people who know her to develop stuff for her. That really doesn't have to just take any script. Melissa McCarthy will write her own. Sometimes it's hit or miss, but sometimes hilarious. Even Melissa McCarthy, I was thinking Melissa McCarthy because she needs a new breakout something to get her to the next. She's doing the same thing over and over. Again. It seems to me and Mila Kunis was hilarious. And Ted ten thought was Jerry, so they both can do it, but not this time not time. So here's a reminder and Hornets when she's in town reviews at Washington Post dot com. And I'm arch.

"Busby good. Morning. Tom good morning Michael dozens of varieties of wraps and salads that are sold at Kroger's trader Joe's and Walgreens are now being recalled on concerns about a parasite in the lettuce which, can make people, sick US auto sales losing speed in. July on another drop. In, sales of sedans meantime tesla finally met its goal of cranking out five thousand model three sedans. A week last quarter now it wants to put out six thousand a week by the end of August and even vows. To turn a profit it's first one ever by the. End of this year a lot of earnings, reports come out today but none will be more closely watched than. The one from CBS it comes a. Week after its CEO les Moonves was accused of a. Pattern, of sexual harassment McDonald's celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Big Mac today, by handing out McCoy NHS redeemable for a free. Big Macs starting tomorrow The NFL preseason starts tonight the Baltimore Ravens host the Chicago Bears and a federal judge throwing out a lawsuit that claims. Consumers were tricked into overpaying for. Under filled boxes of, junior mints, right you, can, take those. Junior. Mints after you eat your Big Mac thanks Tom Busby twenty five minutes after the hour on first light entertainment critic Kevin cars with us now and Kevin do you have anything that, can give us, a few last maybe this morning good. Morning Michael on the. Heels, of the bonafides by thriller mission impossible fallout we have a new spike comedy coming out this. Week called the spy who dumped me and this one's a bit of a mix of comedy and action film and we've. Seen these kind of movies before with like hit man's. Bodyguard or spy with Melissa McCarthy this one, stars me lacunas says a woman who was dumped by her boyfriend. And then learns out he's a spy. And he wants her to bring a package all the. Way, over to Europe for him along for the ride is Kate McKinnon as, her best friend basically playing the broad, comic relief Now like I said these these movies are. Somewhat popular and they, tend to run about. Two hours so they run longer, than a regular comedy and the reason for that is because the interspersed action with the comedy so you do have actually bonafide action sequences that are put together. Relatively. Well so if you wanna go see the excitement and the thrills, you've, got that you've got the car chases and you've got the gun play, but you also have the goofiness in, the Salinas and the absurdity of a spy thriller and in? The end it's? A funny, movie. It actually has more laughs than I expected it, is a girl out kind of film because it is very much a female Centric movie directed by, women Susanne full and of course it starts to very big names right. Now in comedy and in Hollywood in general another big attraction for the audience is going to be. Sam Hagen whose best known in the outlander series he plays another spy in the film that's mixed. Up in everything Mila Kunis I think is fine for what it is it's it's a movie that's cast well enough for what it needs to do and like you said it has the action it's A. Bit of a mix of styles but overall I found it to. Be.

"Particularly Moved by her, thoughts on Perez Hilton yeah let's go ahead, and, listen to a. Clip of, her, talking about, Perez Hilton the celebrity gossip. Blogger Sean I was, happy everything's great and then and then. Everything. Was fine until you know I would say the Perez Hilton that's what I'm. Equate this industry crumbling, on Because to me. He was the first person that created ugly News spread. Filth content that it, was like it and I wasn't even it. Was just mean and so it allowed people to be made it was the first form that I. Noticed like this whole concept of trolling. Didn't, exist really didn't internet wasn't based on like talking fish yeah Okay so that's Mila Kunis. Is, thoughts on trolling, and ugly news could've Perez Hilton now I am not. A strong defender Perez, Hilton he may be like the most notable. Of celebrity bloggers that she is in part referring to but the notion that he created trolling I. Mean truly has been around like trolls. Yeah Like since they were. Living under the bridges and there were some goats you know what I mean yeah I what, I think is interesting is I she, doesn't seem, to realize that Perez Hilton for. Her The, time, that she became. Who she is in Hollywood Perez Hilton was the face of? That, type. Of behavior, that doesn't mean he invented Ed yeah no she's like really wasn't learning trolling before Perez Hilton well Honey actually there was so we've done away with that trolling you before Perez Hilton yeah exactly I mean she may be was. Aware of it because she? Was, getting trolled also just like I just want, to take a moment and sort of shame celebrities for Being frustrated that people. Are talking about them like you know that like. That's celebrity right and she goes into this diatribe about how the tabloids were, constantly, making, things up and it was. Really, harmful because her grandparents would read the tabloids and. Think. That there was an emergency with a pregnancy or, something Bob excuse me that's your fault because if your grandparents are reading tabloid and believing what's going on in them such that they're calling you in a panic you have failed as a celebrity so maybe figure out how to be a. Celebrity and the first thing you. Would. Do, is talk to your family and say hey guys. If, you, see something in. No if you see something in the National Enquirer tabloid right? If, you. See it, in the New York Times it's probably news or if you see it on CNN it's probably news or if you see something you wonder about it before You go into a spiral of emotions about it check with the source yeah right so that like Yeah I just again I think it's really an Perez, Hilton has not really responded besides posting that clip on his website Perez Hilton dot com and say we Kitsap listening to this clip of, Bela. Cutest, crediting me for the invention of troll culture could. Somewhat at this tour. Wikipedia, plate. Page please yeah In other words he's quite aware of the hilarity of it as well I, gossip has, been gossip, has been a thing says people and it's also it's just different? Like, so there were, tabloids and before they were tabloids there were you know cave paintings goes all the way back and you know there are cave paintings, of people saying hateful things like Bob is a real schmuck and he you know picks his wife up by your hair and beats or, with. Club You know he just was the one of the first, celebrity bloggers so in so far as he was new to anything or he was. Unique to anything it was celebrity blog culture but again just like. You know way to sort of. Taken out in the wrong person and. Just her like feigned shock, and surprise. That, this was something she, was, going to have. To deal with as, a celebrity well it's interesting because one of the other. Things that she talked about in this podcast that, that people, are talking about today but that is made actual headlines that I think is so bizarre is the, story she, tells about her relationship with MacAulay Culkin. And how that ended let's play that clip as well you're with MacAulay for a long time maybe, nine hundred, seventy seven, eight years yeah I had a horrible horrible horrible break up and You, were very sad over, it, no.
