"Arsenal played their round 7 makeup game against Everton and they did so in style winning four nil and going 5 points clear at the top of the table now that they are level on games with Manchester City. Don was on the call for this game. How good are arsenal Don hutchison? Unbelievable K I mean this context around the game because for 40 minutes of the game I thought ever the away side were absolutely fantastic. They never really looked like scoring, but they broke really well about four or 5 times and then sucker scores the first goal on 40. Then they get the Martinelli gold just before the time which then takes the game completely away from ever but second off, it was an absolute mauling. It was for going on 6 or 7. There was only with about 20 minutes to go. They were keeping hold of the balls in another top performer. I had Martin odegaard as my man of the match. He scored one goal Martinelli got two, but he ran the show and then the perfect night while Mikel Arteta he brought players off. He rested players. He then give minutes to other players like Smith Rowe, and the stadium K with about, I don't know, 30 minutes to go was absolutely bouncing. They had to work hard for the game, don't get me wrong for the first half when they got the tuna lead. But second off, second off, they were absolutely electric. They were on fire arsenal. They were just a sensational watch. They were beautiful sight to watch. It is such a young and exciting attack to watch Stevie. Yeah. Well, I think it's been backed up with some great experience better than average pro, you know, Shaq up for a long time, and the Premier League was looked upon as just a good player. Who's who had his team arsenal, and it was time to move on. That was until Arteta appeared. This is not the same player. Not the same player. I don't know what a Ted is telling them. I don't know what he's doing with them, but this guy has taken a step forward. And there's a huge part of us that have been top of the league. It's certainly not something we would have said about Shaka. But 18 months ago, not a chance. Guys, absolutely brilliant. I think a lot of credit has to go to Mikhail Arteta as well. And a chance for this, which I think was January transfer window, sums up how good he's been, how good they've been. Frustrated with the mudra deal Chelsea coming in and still that away from them and why a lot of talk around Chelsea was how much they spent and breaking all sorts of records. Micheladas and arsenal go about their business. They are tros. They are georginio, give give cover to players like party who sometimes is out a little bit in two too often as they would like, but still important georginio comes in and provides cover. It comes in at the perfect time, Martinelli, who has been simply outstanding, but he was going through a little bit of a lean spell. Trust art comes in. Again, as depth to them, and it just seems absolutely seamless. And we are talking about the team sitting top of the table not breaking the bank, bringing in place to add to this squad and make them better at the same time. And it speaks volumes to a manager who was under so much pressure about 12 or 18 months ago. Now has them looking as good as anybody and not just English football, but in European football. Now has them as title favorites when we look at the odds makers. It's slate right now, but arsenal are the title favorites as it stands at the top of the table with that 5 point lead. Would you bet against them, Casey Keller?

Singers, Marie Claire rupiah, bring their three children to Newcastle for the game. They experience just an outpouring of emotion from Newcastle fans from their players. To which shed just how much this gentleman had been beloved in his lifetime to his spirit, his values, his memory, Christian at two, in the words of Philip Larkin, we should be careful of each other. We should be kind. While there is still time. Oh, absolutely. So tragic, roger, Christian hatsu, that just entire earthquakes and roger was just awful. Okay, to the football, Aston Villa to leaders arsenal for Mikel Arteta's arsenal, travel to the Midlands and come from behind, not once, but twice in an absolute thriller. It was the home side under the gaze of visiting celebrity fan Tom Hanks that went out ahead in the 5th minute. By the way, already the writing in this one, brilliant, putting Tom Hanks there. We need to pump up the cast. Can we get on that list? What a piece of work. Writing a little guest starring role for Tom Hanks right there at the beginning. This was arsenal villa story. It was so good. And it was, it was the home team that went out ahead in the 5th minute when Ollie Watkins thumped home for his fourth goal in as many games, but the Kayo saka, of course he did. He hit back. Continue then put villa back ahead, but zinni pulled arsenal level again on 61 minutes with an outside the box near post blast screaming FU at the villa players and with the game in the balance with arsenal staring down the possibility of four straight games without a win, former Chelsea man, georginio, made an attempt from outside the box, which I've never seen him do before, and then thundered one off the bar, which rebounded and came off the back of hand statue prop comic Emmy Martinez is head and into the Aston Villa gold, just like he drew it up. Gabrielle Martinelli had it a fourth into an empty villain after Martinez was caught upfield on a corner. Arsenal go two points clear atop the Premier League table every incident in this game Emmy worthy, roger brilliant stuff. Aston Villa arsenal, starring Hanks, directed by Spielberg, screenwriting, Tony Kushner. That can only be the underpinning of what we witnessed arsenal entering this game in the midst of what seemed like the sound and sight of a bobble burst thing Mikel Arteta's hair helmet. I'd watched his boys drop more points in the last two weeks. You're in the head then in that surging joyous first 6 months of the campaign was this the moment when the arsenal engine was stalling out and the mask that come down on the plane could Arteta keep a cool head. Could he land the thing and keep the sensor title challenge real? What we all got up early Saturday morning to find out Arteta against who now emery, the man who realized that arsenal, it's hard to be the man who follows the man. Arsenal parte still out yet to train again. He's going to be out for at least another week, Jeannie stepping in. And the energizer trossard starting place at arrested Martinelli for the first time for an arsenal who had not won since January 22nd. That were the stakes coming in and even more of a challenge as you say. Hanks was there, they were Hanks, Gump, pig villa as his team of the 80s legend has it. We know Prince William is a villa fan on this day with a reminder that villa are also the team of American royalty. I'm going to say, I admire Hank so much, David. Forget save it private Ryan, green mile, league of their own. Was this Hank's greatest and most demanding piece of method acting being a proper villa fan? Is this his rule of a lifetime? He did it remarkably well. I mean, the amazing thing about Tom Hanks in all of his movies is he pretty much is just Tom Hanks in all of his movies and in very similar fashion. He was just Tom Hanks at the game. It wasn't some sort of blown up character. This wasn't his, this wasn't what this didn't stretch him that far, but effortlessly. He just made it work. He looks good. He looks Lee. He looks like he's whatever he's on. I would like a piece. He looks absolutely stunning. It is funny because at this stage of his career Hanks is choosing the most noble people in the world and rapping their brand into Hanks. I actually thought he went into the locker room with Aston Villa before the game which was astonishing. I actually think in his mind he was playing a great legendary Premier League match. I think this was Hanks in his mind playing Sean deutch and inside 5 minutes. Whatever it was, it paid off cash, plucked the ball away from Sydney, fed only Watkins quickly, and you could tell as soon as he got the ball. He had murder on his mind, saliba accompanied him, but he made space, screamed. Tom Hanks, I am the captain now. Was he lashed across ramsdell maternal would have saved that four and four throttle Watkins, David. Got to ask yourself the question, tactically. If Tom Hanks came to every village game, would Philip champions, David. I mean, that's a question for the Premier League writers, roger. I don't know that you can write Hanks every week. He's an a list movie star. You can only put him in every now and then. I was almost thought you can ask the other question is if it's only what? But it's like Ollie Watkins, when he looks this good, I can't believe he's not scoring 25 goals in the Premier League. This was like saliba is so fast, what Ollie Watkins did to sleep at this point, almost sat him on his ass, he just, he just went outside him and outstretched foot from saliba, a fantastic finish with his left foot, brilliant brilliant goal. Which run forest run level pace that Ollie Watkins have filled. And arsenal's response, it has to be said, was impressive. They knew Ming's would have a mistake in him, and it came early and often. It was Ming's clearance header, often innocuous cross morph a flick on if would be or this.

"Said, I think it's cool because it reminds us that this game is about much more than just the NBA as a business. It is, we get it. But there's so much more to this. So wherever Deandre ayton ends up, this is a huge moment for him. Absolutely. Yeah, and I'm better now, but I was just thinking about Deandre and his mom, growing up in The Bahamas, moving to Phoenix, moving around different high school teams, AAU teams, some of the controversy at Arizona, the path that he has taken to get to this point, a $133 million. And with that combined for his rookie scale, I'd have to look at the exact numbers Howard, but he's going to make well over a 150, $160 million before he approaches his late 20s. So he could get another contractor too and be well north of $300 million in career earnings by the time his career duns Devin Booker is at that level, we'll see what happens with Mikel bridges. Yeah, so that's the cool part of it. I mean, should I remember Devin was 18 when we brought him in the youngest player in the draft class in 2015? We probably weren't very smart. We brought him off the bench at first behind our blitz over in a night. Some of these guys played them slow played him and by the time he got in the starting lineup, the rest is history. So to watch his ascent, bridges runner up for defensive player of the year, got that $90 million deal. I remember I told the story before, but I'll tell it again briefly, one of the worst best and worst moments combined to my NBA career was having to call Mikkel bridges on the night of the 2018 draft and inform him that he was not actually a Philadelphia 76er that he was not going to stay in Philadelphia, worried one, two national championships at Villanova, where his mom worked for the 76ers franchise that he was actually coming a couple thousand miles to the southwest to the Phoenix Suns. "I mean, let's talk trade packages now because I find all of this very interesting. So the name that Adrian wojnarowski, ESPN, reported were Phoenix and Miami. Those were the two teams that were specifically referenced in regard to Kevin Durant. Phoenix, I would imagine it's some construction of Deandre ayton and Mikhail bridges. I think that you can make a case that that is to all star level talents if things go right for Kevin Durant. I've seen a subsequent report saying something like they won't trade him to Phoenix except for Devin Booker, that seems ridiculous to me. To be honest, maybe he doesn't go to Phoenix, but like you're not moving Devin Booker after he just signed this four year extension. I don't even think he's eligible to be moved to be honest. No. He's not. So that extension, yeah, he's off the table. Yeah, so that seems ridiculous to me. Having said that, the Phoenix thing gets complicated, which I'm sure you have now delved deeply into in regard to the collective bargaining agreement machinations. Without getting on a 5 minute explainer on base year compensation, can you explain why this is more difficult than meets the eye in order for a Deandre ayton Mikel bridges package to go to the Brooklyn Nets? Yeah, I'm pretty sure the money in terms of what Phoenix would be sending in what the nets would be saying in terms of salary gets tricky on that front. I think the luxury tax apron comes into play too. I want to say with some of this. Yeah, which I think is the quickest way. And while we're on the CBA, you know, bam adebayo has been talked about a lot with all this with Miami, but he's an eligible also because of the CBA clause where you can not trade for two guys on rookie extensions and then that's already having Ben Simmons. He counts as those rural rookie extensions, that is. Yes, yes. So yeah, no, I feel like Larry Kuhn today with the amount of CBA exceptions I've had to brush up on. It's complicated, man. This is gonna be a wild one. And so if you're Miami, you don't have all of your picks moving forward. I think you have quite a few of them, like not a crazy amount though, so it's like Tyler hero, and all of your drafts moving forward. I don't think that's going to be the best offer on the table. If your Phoenix, it's Deandre ayton and Mikhail bridges. Essentially, the way this works is that the roys O'Neill thing actually hamstrings Brooklyn a little bit here in regard to being close to the apron because their money is higher. If you bring in a player via sign and trade like Brooklyn would be doing with Deandre ayton, that player, you can not, as a team, go over the apron, which is like what 35 million above the south..

At the end of her workout, she goes, you've been shaney smashed. And that's always what my wife walks in. Like, really? Like, come on. All right, so then Miguel Pereira, who is a Michelle or Michael, is it Mikel? I think it's Michelle. I think it's a shelf a hat. So he thought pons and EB all right? Another fight where I thought Pereira won. Like I didn't think it was that, but you look at poppy real face, it was the biggest robbery of all time. And I was like, no, he landed the harder punches. I thought he did the most damage. And he was a guy that when he first came to UFC, Don, he was doing backflips, jumping off the cages, like doing all kinds of crazy shit that he was losing. I have to fight. He got into a good camp where they cut out all that bullshit. Like literally not one, it's not as fun to watch him in a little bit because he's not doing crazy, but he's winning. Now he's winning. And he beat it. I made the difference. Yeah, so. Well, virtual. He's the biggest welterweight I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. He is so much bigger than I don't know how he cuts the weight and then blows back up like that. But it isn't even just like he tall. I mean, he's so much taller. He just a giant for the division. And then, and I think what we saw in that scoring was there was an emphasis. I think they scored it more based on impact versus volume because pons and nibia was definitely connecting more. I mean, he was that bad. But then went for Haywood coming to us. Clearly, they were scoring in favor of that power, you know? Because when it was a split, I was not surprised. It was a split decision. Because I always think it was, if they base it just on how many times he connected, you got to go with pumps and if you. "It was like the warriors. Wow. Things have flipped. And then all of a sudden bookers in a game 6. And the sun's looked a little sunny, even though Booker didn't look a 100%. But why do you think they played him tonight? If you had to guess, because he didn't seem a 100% but do you feel like they just wanted to get his sea legs back again? And if there's a game 7, great, but not want to try to try that in a game 7. It did seem early. I mean, I think it was Willie green said before the game that he anticipated him to return during the series. He told his team that I don't think Phoenix would have brought Booker back unless they had reason to believe that there's no risk of further injury, but with that said though, it was still surprising because hamstring injuries we know historically come and go all the time. So maybe it was, as you said, getting him back. But I think rob is right, a lot of that was just him being a decoy, opening things up more for some of his teammates and I mean, those guys continue to flourish, man. Deandre ayton played a sensational game too. Mikel bridges once again was outstanding. Having Devin Booker out there of the spacing he provides even as just a decoy does make a difference. And I mean, you did say Bill, it's been a couple days for about maybe the warriors. It still is about that though. The warriors aren't going away. "That will look back and be like, oh, neither of those teams were that great. But I would have I would have Phoenix one and I would have Boston too. The thing with the thing with Dallas though is like we were just talking about, it's not just Luca. Jalen Brunson looks unbelievable. What he's doing. I just don't think Utah's very good. I want to see them do it against it gets a much higher caliber competition. That's fair, though, Bill, but Brunson's been doing it all year long. When Luca was out early in the season, he averaged 22.77 assists. He was awesome for them earlier. He was great all season long. He's one of the more efficient isil scores in the league. It's so many different ways. Good if you want to win a first round series. Yeah, I think the sample, I think the sample with Brunson, he hasn't gotten the high usage at all, except for when Luke has been out, but we're now seeing what him and Luca can do together when they're empowering Brunson and ways that they have it in the past. I'm a buyer and what we've seen from Brunson in the first round. Granted, you're right. Like the jazz defense is weak. It's an easier matchup for him and it'll be a much stiffer challenge when he might have like Mikel bridges defending him on some possessions. But that's true. Good luck. Anybody depended by Mikel bridge. I'm buying on Jalen Brunson. What do you got, rob? I mean, I don't want to gloss over the fact that Dallas too, that they just held the best regular season offense in the league to 96 points in this closeout game. I think they're pretty stout defensively. Like what Dorian Finney Smith and Reggie Bullock can do on the perimeter? I can't wait to watch those guys run up against CP and hopefully a healthier Devin Booker by the time that series starts. But I'm in a similar framing. I'm still thinking, again, I'll just take the pandering and say Boston one. Wow. And I don't even have Boston one. I am too. Well, for me, it's bookers injury. Like if Booker is healthy Phoenix is one. But until we see the game 7, the game 7 in Phoenix still matters for me in this rankings. In the finals. That's fair. Anyway, all right, so you have Boston one Phoenix two Golden State three, who's four? Yeah. I would go, I'm gonna go shit. I'm trying to it's hard. It's really tough. I think you like personally. I think I have to go Miami four because if I'm putting Boston.

"It is 9 30 a.m. in Hong Kong and here in Singapore and Juliet Sully And I'm Brian Curtis all the markets are up and running and all the ones that we track on this program are higher today Games like about 1% or so in Taiwan and about three quarters of 1% in Tokyo No action in the markets in South Korea today because they're voting for president the two main candidates are Lee J Milne of the Democratic Party and Yun soku of the main conservative people power party There will be exit polls that will come out just after the polls close about 7 30 p.m. soul time So stay with us here on Bloomberg David cage we'll get to the markets in a moment but now Juliette and I will take a look at the top stories And president Baden has announced the U.S. will ban imports of Russian energy the UK also saying it would ban Russian oil imports but it will allow Russian natural gas and coal to be imported for now Mikel cordos is the former CEO of yukos oil And he told us Western Europe's reliance on Russian energy has been a mistake To stop the war you need to stop money flowing into Russia If we talk about energy security overall and Russia's energy capabilities we have to understand that Western Europe has made a huge mistake having totally re mortgage itself becoming totally dependent on Russian oil and gas and having forgone the alternative energy sources I mean nuclear energy and LNG liquefied gas Green energy alone will not be sufficient for western ocean And crude oil is trading up by about half of 1% at the moment a $125 35 Beanies are temporarily halting business operations in Russia The list include McDonald's Coca-Cola PepsiCo and Starbucks These companies are joining hundreds of others that have already halted work since Russia's invasion of Ukraine And we just heard that Yum Brands is also suspending its operations of KFC and Pizza Hut in Russia And a Chinese tycoon is facing billions of dollars in losses from his massive short position in nickel We're talking about xiangwang he controls the world's largest nickel producer sin Chan Bloomberg Stephen engel tells us what happened People familiar say he has largely closed out part of his short position and is considering whether to exit his wager altogether The exact scale of those losses are unclear but sources are telling us that the short position on the lm is in the region of about a 100,000 tons of nickel That could equal about $2 billion of daily losses at the most extreme point of nickel surge And Nicole did surge as much as 250% in two days as a result the London metal exchange has suspended trading in the nickel market This after the price cycle of brokers struggling to pay margin calls against unprofitable short positions 33 minutes past the hour markets with Doug prisoner Doug So Brian let's look at the inflation data for China These are February numbers consumer prices on the retail level rising 9 tenths of 1% That's year over year right in line with estimates On the wholesale level PPI was a little hotter than forecast producer prices in China up 8.8% year over year in the month of February the street was looking for something in the vicinity of 8.6% seeing a stronger Chinese currency right now offshore 6 spot 32 zero 7 against the dollar So we're a stronger by about a tenth of 1% No trading in the South Korean equity market we mentioned that a moment ago right now in Hong Kong the hang sang better by about three tenths of 1% and on the Chinese mainland Shanghai composite better by just a tenth of 1% In Sydney meantime we've got the ASX pushing higher by nearly 1.3% We've got a rally and information technology and communication services shares in Australia meantime in Tokyo with the nikkei rising 1% It's communication services and energy helping to lead this advance Speaking of energy here's crude oil in the electronic session up 1.3% right now 25 20 That's WTI Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine back on the 24th of February crude oil is up about 35% that's WTI Obviously today we had the announcement from The White House of a ban on imports of Russian fossil fuels So in the New York session we were up three and a half percent Now if you look at what's happening in the bond market we have a ten year treasury rising and yield a lot of concern here Obviously about the inflation narrative ten year treasury at one 85 a two year at one 61 so we are continuing to push higher in yield but the dollar showing a little bit of weakness now with the Bloomberg dollar spot index down about a tenth of 1% and the yen weaker by about two tenths of 1% against the greenback we're trading one 1590 in yen Earlier we had the final print on fourth quarter GDP for Japan and expansion at an annualized rate of 4.6% the estimate was looking for something about 5.6% so a little bit of a disappointment on that front Another look at market action for you in about 15 minutes Juliet Thank you very much Doug 35 minutes past the hour time for global news And after 12 days of Russian military frustration Vladimir Putin's response is to intensify the bombardment of cave Let's get to it better in San Francisco edge Yeah.

'cause these were finally hippies got really fit to yoga music yes i feel i feel that and i'm not sure if this is the same for a lot of people that i feel like my musical tastes have suddenly become mainstreamed more popular so the instrumental music that i really enjoy suddenly.
