"That's just a function. They laid so much salt down today. So we're getting right now is you know, it's melting and freezing and blow that slush around. So it's a good temperature though for the salt to work right now, let's blow it up that liquid though. Yeah. Yeah. You're going to run out a windshield impact is just thinking about that today. I every thirty seconds. I'm hitting the button it I've got to cut it. And it's not like gasoline. We ever really know how much is in that thing until you looked out at the end. I mean. Yeah. There's no gauge that you can watch we need to have that all the electron IX that you have the next thing. They put out the car now that somebody like we need to have one more monitor one more thing to happen to control. I did fight. Somebody showed me last night on a turn on my heated steering wheel. I didn't know how to do that. I just I make fun of people who feel the need to have one. But now that I know where it is probably. Mike car is too complicated. Unless you said well read, the owner's manual, do you know, how long my owner's manual is? I bet it's four hundred pages. Don't they have one on? The menus. I have to go through. I'm just telling you, the the good thing is if you have our radio station out, and you were driving my car. You would take you an hour and a half to switch stations at go somewhere to go somewhere else. It's unbelievable. They've made these things and part of it is, you know, they have to have menus because we can't have buttons anymore for everything because there's ninety billion things out there to do should be able to talk to it. Well, I think I can. But I don't see I don't want to do that. I have that little bit of technology paranoia where I don't want to be telling my car. I'm sure the car company knows every time. I switched the station. Every time I'm doing something. Anyway, that's all being sent back. Anyway, I just I don't want to tell Alexei anything. I don't want to tell the Cairo anything. I just don't wanna do that. 'cause I I still think they're gathering all of that data too..

"So what are we learn? But I can I. I think I described this case a couple of episodes ago given up date before we go Russian because people were asking me about it this week. I had the case with the kid who was seventeen at the time who was supposedly doing a hundred miles an hour. I'll though it's apparent to me after the trial and based on the preliminary hearing that he's probably doing sixty. We tried. The case was picking a jury. I think last time I talked to in Pomona, do you? Remember, this is the what should have been vehicular manslaughter and the DA or the prosecutor was going for murder for murder. Yeah. And I said. After thirty five years gone on thirty six year. I remember my entering my thirty six year of practice. The idea of sitting next to a kid who was seventeen at the time comes from a tremendous family having to see the other family where the mother had been killed and one of the kids was seriously injured and there in the courtroom. And obviously there's talk about no winners. I mean, you know, you got one side of the family the courtroom with one family one on the other no winners and beyond me, why the DA's office decided this was a murder case. But from the lawyer standpoint, they wouldn't do what I wanted to do. I kept saying look this is nothing but for Hitler manslaughter on its best day, I'm willing to plead open, meaning I'll plead to the court let the court decide what the best thing is. They would not doing what the definition of the Hickey for manslaughter. Let's see if we can distill this down. It's I've killed someone while driving while driving a car and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence means that you're not operating as the ordinarily, right? I was intoxicated. I was speeding. I was showboating. I was whatever and singer and Mike car or pedestrian or someone else in another automobile exhaust dad, it's because I've driving a car because I was driving in an unsafe manner. Correct. And in this case, and when it. There's all those from their right to murder to get it from there to murder you have to have had model. Simple. I. Things are how does that. That was the days in nineteen..

"But I had a passenger throw up in my car during my first week of lift driving. What happens when they throw up? I get upset. There is four passengers in the car. It was a guy up front who was like really drunk and talkative, and I was like shut the fuck up, please. And there was a guy in the back who couldn't talk because he was drunk, and there were these two girls, and they are like the guys are fine. And I was like, honestly, I don't wanna let you in my car because they don't seem vine, and they like promised me that it was fine. And they were going to give me a big tip. And I was new jobs. I was like, okay. I like big tips. So this guy is like can you pull over on the side of the highway. So I pull over and he throws up on himself. And then I just put the car in park because I'm like, I didn't even get mad out outwardly. I was just inward. I was like all right. What do I do? Now, just thinking put the car in park when I put the car import these girls they started getting hostile with me. They were like, oh, well, if you're going to be an asshole, we'll just get out here. And I didn't know what happened they were all drunk. So they thought that I was doing something hostile by putting the car in park. I guess and so I was like great to get out right here on the highway like, I don't need you. Mike car, your friend just threw up, and I'm gonna charge you one hundred fifty. Right out of the car. It's like, no big deal. Did they they didn't get out of the car argued with me for another five minutes on the side of the highway until I drove them home, which was like another two miles. And then you just take a picture of the throw up, and then Hooper send or lift this was but same thing with both companies that you send them a picture of it. And then they send you a fee right out of that person's credit cards. That's great. I didn't know that. We know what if I will up in your car? I'm glad that you took the money and like ruins on it. That's the end of my night. I can't have anybody else in the car now because there's puke in their one Newburgh driver was telling me, and he starts the conversation. I never do. And I'll get to that. But anyway, who's telling me a story about this guy gets this nation and then runs out of the car as if he's getting away from? Okay. I bring up how I never talked to drivers. And it's it's women that I hear this from it. I don't know if guys have this problem too. But they say this driver. They don't quit talking to me. And I understand why it'd be different with women. But then I say recorded for me, and my girlfriends did this another woman did it for me recently. And I hear the woman that I know keeping the conversation going. Yeah. Really interesting. Just shut the fuck up. Right. Do you? Do you guys? I wonder if the drivers thinking the same thing like they will not stop talk. But how is that? And I'm I'm actually learning right now..

"That was well done those quick. I've seen pit crews go slower than that. Well, I realized I was at the point is a little bit fun of the turn. I realize the point of the turn where you're supposed to go into the turn, and then apex turn and then come out wide as you exit and Mike car was parked at the exit. Yes, I'd ways at the exit and I knew there's a bunch of fast foods that were right behind me, and I was literally in the way now these guys are good drivers, and I'm not saying I would have been t-boned or clipped, but. You wanna avoid. You can show it again Pandak on the track team. Those guys passed me at one hundred miles an hour. Yeah, and I was not moving. Yeah, getting back onto the nobody raise. Nobody wants to get hit while you're not moving at one hundred miles an hour because you go through the speed trap like one sixteen. So now I'm wear. They're going to be. So I turned the wheel out way to get out of the way. And I don't want to spend any time there in case somebody does what I what I just did. So. All right, you got, but either way, I think your biggest biggest problem. Fear is sitting somewhere at zero miles an hour and having a guy hit you it one hundred miles an hour of a buddy of mine was what race he was doing, but he was he was driving formula car or something and spun off on the turn, and I don't know how are what he was thinking or spot or something said, go ahead and he's spun out and backed out onto the track and just got T-Bone just pieces everywhere. It was terrible. Well, we've all seen it. Everybody blamed him like, 'cause you're like, what are you doing? You never get back on track like that. Like you couldn't see where you're going, you're doing. You know, it's like it was. It was rough. It was really bad. But what goes through one's mind is I just did this. What if somebody else just does what I just did. They're gonna hit me. So I don't spend any time here, but the thing I did that was smart is when I was rolling backwards down the track on the corner in the line of fire, cranked the wheel to the left in went that gets you out of the way and you can see the track a little bit better. Right, right. I don't know why. What do you think I just carrying too much speed? Yeah, good recovery superstar. Right? I know where I know where the edge is. Now. The second time I went through that turn. I was growing like twenty eight miles an hour. Like bone stock pre is literally advance passing with nineteen. People take pictures. I went through that turn fifty five miles an hour, slower the following lap literally. I also then had some thoughts like wonder what's in my tires. Like I wonder how much gravel has been. Well, the tire you think about is is, did you did you break the beat? You have rocks jammed up in the ram there and you're going to, are you going to blues? You know, you're gonna lose air. Now also I had a sort of act of God and the act of God, and I don't think you can see it with the camera, but the act of God was this. That car has a splitter in the front that is literally three quarters of an inch off the ground. Yeah, and there's even a couple little things and dents in it because literally there's a part where you just drive out to the track. Go down the grid, the pit pit lane. You turn right. Start heading toward the hot pit and there's like a little color. There's a bump every single car. It's that thing. Yeah. By the way free to fix them every event every call Domino's to get one of their pothole trucks. It's a, it's a little rise. It's not much and it wouldn't be anything if you're just driving a Camry, but you're driving cars were the front end has a piece of aluminum. That's a half an inch off the ground. So you're almost nothing not much a lot when you're driving a golf carts? No big deal. But when you're driving race cars, kink every time. Outstanding in pit lane with the garage is behind us. And as you are finishing up your session, all the next session is starting to roll out cars in lineup, and just standing there. You hear cargo..

"Hi, Matthew, what's up? Well, I have. I may call you Matt, may. I sure. Sure. I haven't interesting confluence of autumn things out of motive in marital relations. Not good. Well, what happened was I guess about late June. My brother and sister in law were visiting and we were driving someplace in and my sister-in-law pointed a spot underneath my car, the per spots under his Mike car, which is a an accord. My wife has a horizon so I check the spot underneath and I my finger and it feel it and it doesn't feel like you know water off the condenser, the air conditioner. So I smell it and I can't smell. All right. Well, I touch my fingers to my tonnon go. This is radiator. Fluid and well, both my sister-in-law, my and my wife recoil in horror. Exactly. So what now we fast forward, you'll be dead in an hour, something like that apparent that you moron. Yeah, yeah, I've got that. Look, a lot of those antifreeze swilling yoyo. Exactly. And and well, it brought up the question is, is there anything that I mean, I know any freezing motor oil and lots of things in the car are toxic when ingested in significant quantities user, anything that's actually talk in the quantity where thing to it, will it just do you in just like that? Yeah. And so my mother's cooking is around somewhere. Yeah, I suppose battery acid might be the exception to that. Battery acid, you wouldn't kid you, but you wouldn't want that to be touching your tongue even for that little amount in that little bit of time, this is this is this is true. The amount of antifreeze you ingest it from sampling that little spot snuff is hardly enough to kill you. I think if he did it every day you might build up an immunity Nashua. Nashua. Yeah. I mean, I don't think there's anything else we got brake fluids. Not too great Florida's now. Good oil is gonna kill you? Yes. Elino the fumes from gasoline, just enough to kill you, but not the amount that was fit on the tip of your finger. Yeah. Well, I think I think you should do all week of anti freeze a week of gas, see when you get the sickest, but. Does your wife to lighten up? Okay. You probably by a bus next week, don't worry about drinking lately. Women are afraid of lots of things, mostly men and justifiably, but you're right. I think there are lots of women. I shouldn't make these blanket Joe. Joe, but go right. Don't let me is. Shape or form trying to get divorced again. Go ahead. I found that there are many women who are afraid of lots of things that men aren't afraid of, or at least don't admit to being afraid of men have to show that they're rough. It's just a little anti for little battery acid in my Hon. Won't hurt me. I think it's a part of being a guy. I think we do it just to show that with big and strong. Oh, you think it's a demonstration of my Cheesman. Of course, it. I think it's more stupidity. That's what they would have believed. Right. Don't drink the stuff man. See you later. "Any please don't ask for scary noise. I'm saying we should warn the people are driving right now. That could. Yeah, off the side of the road, there's a, which in the car? Yeah, that is a really scary idea that I I'm gonna have. Good luck unseating that image. Thanks a witch, Mike car. But since you're back, we wanted to you, I guess, wanted to workshops some of your new material. That's exactly what I'm doing. Yeah. So I'm very excited about it and you are craftsmen and you craft it for the audience. Just do the same set in frigging, you know, one of these metropolitan big city in Buffalo, New York or whatever that you're going to do in charge lot. Yeah, you got to switch it up. So I think that's a really smart. I think that's really cool. Do you wanna talk a little bit about the idea of the comedy that you're doing or. I mean, I think it kind of speaks for. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. I don't want to say there's a huge like philosophical arc behind any of it is, and it's there is there is I don't want to say, I don't wanna say you want me to say that would be some of this shit, man. I just sit back. I just look at the speaker and just trip out on these ideas. Man. When I listen to some of this shit, I close my eyes and kind of hold my hands over my eyes. So it makes kind of swirling effect that I feel is the best backdrop for some of the shit that you're laying down. I actually encourage audience members to really just rub their eyes as I'm talking. Yeah. So they see like at the visual, it's like a frigging laser light show for free. I go to float downtown, get in the sensory depth. Thank and I shut off everything every sense, except my ears, and I hear the comedy and I go on this voyage into your mind. Yeah, really. Which is. An infinite universe. And how does that you bring in like a your phone? You got a sneak it in? They do. They really don't want you to have anything, and it's way louder. Because it's so contained. Yes, that's what it would be like inside your brain voice would be very loud deafening. And so you're kind of swimming around and Joe's brain is your voice your own voice, or do you do sort of a ways thing inside your brain where maybe you have something funny can choose Jack is gives you giving you the jokes, honestly, like a, it's a witches voice..

Heard you on the radio show. Love the show and wanted to, come by and say. Hi so anyway great to have him come by I think it was a carburetor Mike was his name Mike if, you're, listening thank you So anyway we were doing so good last week and we were running sixth fastest in practice qualified on the pole for the. Dash and coming out of turn one we were leading and then going into when I came back around the track, going back into overdrive the corner just a little bit in. The car wouldn't hold the bottom we're having. A little bit of a challenge keep the car down low so pushed up just a, little kind of left an opening which basically caused, us to go three wide now you don't go, three? Wide and a heat, race right I. Didn't know that but you do it's. Kind of a rule of, thumb she'd done k. three. Y but we went through what so I'm sandwiched in the middle gave plenty of room to the guy in the bottom. And the, guy in the top but unfortunately the guy in the bottom decided that. Eight wheels turn better than four so he, slammed his car. Into me Look at the picture and he is literally splitting between the low and the high line and you're like buddy you gotta stay. On the line of do that but just over drove the corner hit me Mike car starts to slide hit the, car up top sends me to a slide now headed towards. The wall I managed to save it keep. Going without spending the photos you literally see my car sliding sideways like eighty miles an, hour oh ma'am but I saved it and jump, back on it and anyway so we were running, so? Good really fast we, had a chance. To win that dash but then it. Bent up a bunch of, stuff so by the time. We got to the main event it was just a hot nest out there couldn't keep the car down couldn't get back. On the, throttle bent a bunch of stuff up but at the end of the. On my hip where is because my, bad knees I was always favoring, one. Side and everything So I applied for After work, for four months recuperating and they told me to put in while you're once you, get off parading, on and then they'll they'll be able to compensate me down when I've paid operations on my knee because they'll just connected to the knee because it was. Caused, by the needs well they denied it now don't have. Any recourse. To action I can I appeal. That some, way or oh yeah you can always appeal the? Why was it tonight They said it wasn't connected to the hip but I've had it was in my doctor reports my doctor kept telling me over and over yeah you're lot. Because, you're walking like doc and you kept standing in putting. Your weight. On that one side because your. Other needs, was worse than the need. It the hippy hip And you kept switching. Your weight I was, the post office to. Twelve years which I did. A lot of. Standing solace constantly switching my, weight back and forth. Because my knees bothered me so much, well you know all of these, programs the VA social security Medicaid all of these. Programs it seems like there's always at least one do now I know for Medicaid there's always a denial I tell my clients up I up, front there, will be a now don't worry about it, we'll get the appeal. Going into virtually, we'll get resolved in your favor. And that is certainly the true with the, VA so I would continue to pursue the appeal. Because sometimes when you just keep working at. It, and you show a strong interesting getting your benefits you get what's the squeaky wheel gets oil to that that sort of thing so I would I would definitely. Pursue the appeal All right, check look, for the reasons they said no and then? Address those issues it's. More medical documentation. Might do it in your case Okay Thank. You you're. Welcome you, know we get these a lot in in in VA cases where they get tonight because they didn't people try to do it on their. Own they didn't put in the medical. Information they did put in the medical bills until they get for that. Reason I said, earlier you have too much. Income, well it's not that you have too much. Income you didn't show them what your medical bills or you didn't do it in the right. Way Yeah yeah I mean and there's, just a, number of companies out there that, they say, the reason, I get denied like you said it's because they're not they're not putting the information in the right way. They're not providing the proper, evidence in supporting documentation that, goes along with the veteran's application or even a Medicaid application for that matter and because of that I it basically, just lays. Them getting the benefits, that they need and Mike car was saying there's a number of organizations. Out there. That are.
