"The ball. Yeah. I like both of those. The writers are coming off three in a row and the rams just signed Baker Mayfield. So there is, it's not an optimistic building right there. Yeah. Which one do you want? I'll leave this one up to you. I kind of like the yards, touchdowns. That sounds cool, yeah. All right, we'll go with the yards. Okay, great. The next one, I actually don't know if I want to bet on. I just think that we should point out that the forty-niners are three point favorites over the bucks. Brock purdy. If you had that on your bingo card before the year blocked pretty being a three point favorite against the box. I have no read on that game. I will say that line opened at the forty-niners favored by 6 and a half. And it's got bet all the way down because people are like, there's no way we can bet the Brock purn is a touchdown favorite over the yeah, I don't want to bet on this game. Just wanted to put that out there. The next one, I want to talk about Raven steelers. The over under in that game is 37. That is minuscule. I'm not doing it. I refuse to score 9 point or ten points last week, and Pickett is better than I thought he was going to be, but when you go under, wouldn't you be tempted to go under 30 seconds? Oh. Under 37. Oh. The problem is also, is that neither of these defenses are that good? Yeah. No, I just stay away. Stay away. Okay, stay away. I can't trust them. The next one, and this is the last one, or the last football that I got for you. Is dolphins at chargers. The dolphins are two and a half point favorites. And I just think they're better than the Chargers and last week. Sometimes I think we overreact we on how good these teams are. The dolphins obviously they got boat raced by the forty-niners, but the Chargers aren't as good as the forty-niners. This is the Emmanuel acho bowl where we'll find out who's the social media quarterback and who's not. My heart wants me to take Jess and Herbert and that just out of spite we can't. But I do think you talk into better and I do think they're two and a half points better. Yeah, we're going to partner up with you on this one. I think the dolphins, I think the dolphins win this game, you're right. I mean, the offensive line injuries is still a concern, but I trust them a little more what they've been doing through the course of this year, I think, yeah, dolphins will bounce back. Yeah, and as of now, it seems doubtful that Corey linsley is going to play in this game. So there might be a significant pass rush in Justin Herbert's face for the entire game. All right, get to the bet that we've all been waiting for. Yeah. We're locking in those 6. We have 6 bets. But the bet that we have. I have od for you. So I know where you're going with this. The white lotus. There are odds. There are odds. I'm really floating body. That's so dumb. In the pool or in the ocean, I should say. The first

"Do you want to pick a winner? I mean, I feel like we need given the points. We have to take the Vikings, right? Should we take the Vikings as two point dogs? Let's do it. Two and a half pounds. Yeah, we got to. All right, so we're locking in those two bets. All right. I feel good about those too. I don't even know if we need to circle back around just because we can't disrespect the Vikings that much. And if they hose us this weekend, that also opens us up to disrespect them as much as we want for the rest of the seasons. This is a win win. I got a sucker parlay for us. All right. The chiefs over the Broncos money line. The cowboys over the Texans money line in the bills over the jets money line. These are all massive favorites. It ends up being like minus one 30. We're not getting exact value, but they can't miss those games. Who's gonna let us down? Who could potentially not us down? Not the chiefs. They won't lose back to back. The cowboys can't lose to the Texans because the Texans don't even want to win. So the only team that could let us down is the bills could lose to the jets but they've already lost it yet this year. I guess this is not a game. And they actually have not run away with the division. It's a game they need against a team that they might be motivated to have revenge. Mike white is the question. The bill's defense isn't what it once was, is Mike white going to be good enough to lead them to victory. Actually, the real question is, is Josh Allen going to make a lot of mistakes because he doesn't, they're fine. I like this parlay. Nothing to talk about. None of these teams are going to lose. I do think worth noting in this just total bomber the von Miller got his ACL repaired and is out for the year because the bills found themselves back in the one seat after seemingly forfeiting that with the three weird losses that they've had. And it's just a bomber to lose their best defensive lineman or one of their best defensive linemen. And one of the most fun guys to watch too, so yeah, it sucks for everybody, but yeah, they'll win this weekend. All right, locking that one in. Next bet. This one I'm not sure how you're going to feel about it. But the bangles are 6 point favorites at home against the browns. I think they are going to win by more than a touchdown. Deshaun Watson was horrendous in his first game. That's not an overstatement. He was terrible. The browns offense was terrible. And this is another revenge game. Yeah, he's better than he was early in the season. When he got sacked a million times by the browns. Will miles Garrett destroy the game and can the browns score enough points, I think I like the Bengals and burrow. You'll go money line. We can do the money line, or we can do bangles -6. There are 6 point favorites. Are they going to win by more than the touchdown?

"I don't think he feels like a quitter. And I don't think he should. 'cause I think for him, the success was getting back that year, playing it all. I know Drew Brees changed this for everyone when he had that traumatic shoulder injury and came back. It was like, oh, just set 75 NFL passing records. That's not normal. And I think for him, the changing of his goals to play football again, allowed him to quit without feeling quitter. I truly wonder how his psychology would be different if he hadn't played that year. If you hadn't had those net 42 touchdown past year in 2018. Yeah, I don't know. I think we obviously don't know everything that's going on in every player's life, but it does, it doesn't often seem like the truly great, great guys who succeed on the field. It doesn't often seem like 20 years after they don't always seem like they are the happiest, even if they continue to have success. This is an interesting thing that obviously I can't say is true or false, but I have a strong feeling that Andrew Luck, he started this process early enough that he's going to be fine. He's going to be in a good place. He's going to be happy with his life when at any point we go to talk to Andrew Luck again. I don't think he's going to have regrets and I don't think he's going to be like sad and broken up about the decisions that he's made or the place that he's at. All right, that was fun. Plus, plus he has an iPhone now. So maybe I'll text you back. Yeah, I'm at a one time randomly. He was at my business school for a panel. We just talked in the back for a little bit. It was before, yeah, I think it was before he retired. But anyway, we didn't talk about much. It was

"I watched that from a dear friend and what that does is it can SAP away at your self esteem even if it doesn't exactly what your confidence. Andrew Luck could walk down in the football field. And he probably said, I've never played someone better than me. Even to this day, as he's retiring. He didn't get played off the field. He didn't want to go through his entire life being defined by something he could control. It was making him miserable. And searching for something new, something a new purpose and being okay with searching for that was like, what I took away, that he's on his Don Quixote quest to find that. And I find that very relatable, even if he is this Uber talented Uber special person that I can never fully understand. Yeah, and reading into it, it seemed like he's still like, he knows that he's telling himself stories, but he's still telling himself these stories. Because it feels like he's trying to present. And I agree with you. It's not that he's found this piece, is that he's found comfort in looking for this piece, but I think he's trying to present he has found this piece. If you can convince yourself of that, that is kind of what we're all trying to do in some ways. So the shoulder thing is interesting because again, it goes back to that identity because if you can boil Andrew Luck down to like what his identity was for most of his life, it is that shoulder. And for that to break down is like, then who am I? And I thought, I found it interesting. While we talk about Tom Brady a lot, I want to get up and on everything. He comes up a lot, and everyone, not everyone, but often I get asked the question because I'm the only athlete at the desk they're like so. What is the athlete think, right? Here. And I'm like, no, Tom Brady is not a normal athlete. He's not a normal person because to continue and like you can, I don't want to speculate, but it has to time is finite. So like, you're committing this time to something and it's taken away from other things, how that impacts everything else is not for me to say. But in this piece for Andrew Luck, it was very clear that his wife was like, yeah, you about to lose me because of the person that and I think she was just his girlfriend at the time, maybe. But anyway, you about to lose me because of the person that you become. And I'll read another little passage that jumped out to me. I think this is behind a paywall, so I might get to say that. That was a tough part. Wow, sue me, Seth. Anyway, so I won't read any more. This is the last one. So he became someone he didn't want to be. Or specifically, he tapped into a part of his personality he didn't always relish.

"They will create a story that promotes the narrative that they want you to believe. Welcome backwards. Yeah, and then they'll find they'll cherry pick the events in their lives that make it sound like a movie 'cause like when people ask me, how did you become a football player? I tell them true anecdotes, but it also seems ridiculous, so one of the stories that I always tell people is when do you know you want to play a professional athlete? This is true. When I was 6 years old, I told my dad I wanted to be a pro football player. My dad told me why you need to do something to get closer to that goal every day. That night, I did crunches until my pants. And a real thing that actually happened that night we had a conversation about moderation. But like, I think that to me, at least that speaks to how I just outwork everybody and how I'm just so intense. And then another couple of stories that go that I tell normally to get to the final ending point. But if I chose to tell the story and make it all focus on luck, I could find not Andrew Luck, but like actual. I could find all the things that so my homeschool, my home high school, wasn't a very good high school. So my mom forced us to go to a magnet school that had a football program that was only two years old. And it's like random luck. I ended up there and there was random luck, the coach who was there and the players that were there. And like all that stuff happens in college, I wasn't supposed to start. But people got injured, I started on a Thursday night prime time game and had a great game. All of a sudden, I'm like one of the top corners in ACC. Like, that's all, look, and in that game, when I rewatch that game, I was terrible. The only reason why I succeeded was because Clemson saw a freshman corner and they were like, we're gonna go deep. And I had decided you know what you're not gonna do is go deep. They could have hit me up for 400 yards if they would have just thrown some ten yard routes. But anyway, the point is, it's just all, it depends on the stories that we tell ourselves and the type of protagonist that we want ourselves to be. And it's a weird place to be because I don't know, I don't know if it's also about the stories that we believe. Other people and now I'm speaking for myself. I can't say that everyone feels this, but it's the stories that we believe other people believe about us is like so much tied to our self perception and our happiness and I see that in myself and I saw so much of that in this piece for Andrew Luck. I've been rambling and going on a second to say I mean, this is your lane. And the irony is. So I think we ended up closer than you and the get up producer did on what you took away from the piece. But what I took away, okay, first of all, when Andrew Luck retired, he did not seem to me like someone who was going to come back and play more football. There seems to be a sense of finality of sense of peace even if he was sad about it. What we've learned since then is there was no sense of peace. And he said to try and find it. And

"Off top in 1902, the first rose bowl was played. Michigan was beaten Stanford's so bad. That with 8 minutes to go in the game, Stanford quit. Play the music. This is a Dominique foxworth show. Is that the first rage quit and reported history? I think it is. I think it is the first rage quit and also the first rose bowl. And I didn't realize this, so I have a list of off tops that I draw from and I couldn't not choose this one today, considering what I want to talk about. We want to talk about the great Andrew Luck who was once a Stanford cardinal who? Decided to quit. Retire? Whatever you want to call it. So Seth wickersham wrote an article. I'm sure everyone's heard of it. Or heard about it by now, even if you haven't read it. But I feel like I didn't get as much attention, which is part of the reason why I want to talk about it because I thought it was incredible. Like incredibly interesting and thought provoking and I was surprised, I feel like this conversation might go to some philosophical and deep places, so I will warn everybody of that now and also tell you there's fun at the end, right Charlie, you got some fun for us at the end. We got a lot of fun. We got a lot of fun. Also being interested in the subject matter is fun. And even though it could be heavy and thoughtful, we're going to talk about it. I mean, you don't got to sell me on that. Like this is the stuff that actually gets me the most excited is when we can use sports as an opportunity to get into these type of, I don't know, deeper, more important questions. And this piece. So I was shocked by this morning when I was getting ready for a get up. I was talking to one of the producers, and I was surprised that we came away with different takeaways. I got the feeling that Andrew Luck quit and the end of it was he kind of found a life that he's happy with. And the producer was saying that he quit and he still looking. And what jumped out to me is like, I felt like this article is had something in it that everyone should be able to relate to, but it spoke so directly to an experience that feels uniquely professional athlete. Even though he decided when the quit, no one with the exception of

"No, dead for 5 and 5. And I'm pretty, I'm pretty disappointed in how the Broncos a year is going. It's just not been good. And very, very frustrating. Number 5, the Dallas Cowboys dominated the falcons 43 to three. It was a great win for Dallas coming off of a bad loss last week to Denver. And cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, used to be the head coach of the falcons last year. We got fired. And so in this game, it felt like, hey, Dan Quinn got his revenge. It was cool to see. It appeared like he used his knowledge of the falcons quarterback. His former quarterback Matt Ryan to make Matt Ryan suffer. Oh my gosh, Matt Ryan. He was 9 for 21 passing. Had a 117 yards, which is pretty good for 9 completions. But he had two interceptions. It was ugly. This score three points all day, and then the backup quarterback came in for the falcons. Josh Rosen, hey, remember that guy? Josh Rosen. He's still the NFL. He was one for 6 passing. He also had an interception. It was a completely dominating win by the Dallas Cowboys. And good to see for them to come back and bounce back after a really bad loss during NFL week 9. Number 6 the page rates droid. The Cleveland Browns 45 to 7. Remember that the Patriots head coach Bill Belichick used to coach in Cleveland. He got fired, and every time the Patriots play Cleveland, he punishes them. The Patriots, by the way now, are 6 and four. They've won four games in a row. I've been saying this and I think other people are starting to agree with me, New England looks like a playoff team. They're playing very good football Mac Jones. They're young, rookie quarterback gets better and better every week. He's the real deal. Against the browns Mac Jones. What a great performance. Efficient, clean, really high level play, he was 19 for 23, with a 198 yards and three touchdowns, the Patriots have found the replacement to Tom Brady. It was not Jimmy Garoppolo as he probably thought it would be a couple years ago for Bill Belichick. But now they have Mac Jones and it is a home run. He's fantastic..

"He was supposed to be their next franchise quarterback. He really has not developed into that. I was hoping for that. I wanted that. It hasn't worked. And honestly, Sam and cam is kind of fun. They got similar names. I don't know that Sam can handle having cam in the locker room. Cam is personality is a dominating force. He's likeable, he just won. He had to touchdowns. I believe Sam is going to lose the locker room. Now KMS to play well, but man, that was a great start for him. And that locker room looked hungry to rally around Cam Newton there. Both old and new starting quarterback. I just interesting to fall like Cam Newton might once again become the Panthers franchise quarterback, which is interesting. And it's cool to see. I like cam. I really think it's fun to see that. Now, one other fun storyline here with this is that about cam, by the way. In 2011, cam's rookie or he made his NFL debut on the road for the Panthers in Arizona. And it's kind of fun ten years later, 2021. He made his NFL return for the Panthers in Arizona. What I just really cool thing to see. And I had a blast watching him do it this weekend. Love to see it. You'll love to see cam do well. He's smiling, he's having fun. Say what you want about the guy. Dude loves football. And that makes me love him because we can both agree that football is fantastic. And when you watch a guy like cam, enjoying himself playing the game. It's hard to not smile with that. Number three, the lions on the Steelers tied 16 to 16 in all of overtime, neither team could score it was ugly. It was bad. Oh, man. The Steelers were playing without their starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. And I'm sacked because I thought I predicted the line swing. I'm like, hey, finally, the lines are gonna win a game this year. And it's funny I made my prediction before Big Ben was announced to not be playing. So I was like, oh, wow. I thought I just got handed like a really good opportunity to look very smart. And the lions even without the Steelers starting quarterback playing. Could not figure out how to win the game. And if the lions can't win a game like Sunday, I don't know what game they're gonna win. I mean, they've had so many opportunities this year. And this was a huge missed opportunity of so many other missed opportunities alliance have had this year. There are currently O 8 and one right now after the tie. Now they have a couple chances the rest of the year I think to win a game. You have week 14, they put on the road at Denver..

"I think we're trying to figure out a trade for the last couple weeks. The dolphins were heavily pursuing deshaun Watson. And I don't know. I want to watch to the dolphins young quarterback. He's the second year quarterback. There's been news for weeks and weeks and weeks that Miami has been trying to replace him with Desean Watson. That didn't work. And so now that he's free to just, okay, I'm not getting replaced. I'm at least here for the rest of this year. Does he play more free? Does he play better? I don't know. I hate the play calling, hate the play design in Miami with their offense, but I'm really still interested to see how does two will play. Against Houston this weekend. Game number three, the falcons at the New Orleans Saints, the reason to watch this game and keep your eye on this game. Is that the New Orleans Saints lost their starting quarterback, Jameis Winston last weekend. He tore his ACL. And so this weekend just the quarterback, the quarterback room and situation in general, it's kind of up in the air with New Orleans and do they play Trevor Simeon? Do they play Taysom Hill? Whatever quarterback they play, do? And what happens there? Keep your eye on the quarterback situation between the falcons and the saints, what happens with New Orleans and their quarterback? Number four, the Raiders at the Giants, the Raiders have been through a lot. And they lost their head coach. They had a star receiver, Henry ruggs, get in a car accident, and get a DUI and kill someone and then acts as a fatal car accident. So he's in jail. And how do you respond to that? What happens here? I would imagine that this is too much to overcome. I can't imagine a world where the Raiders don't fold, just because the emotional losing your head coach and losing a player that way, I think the emotion is going to be too hard. I don't expect the Raiders are 5 and two right now. They're at near the top of the AFC standings. I don't think that's going to stand, but we'll learn a lot with how they respond this weekend on the road against New York. Number 5, you're the Patriots at the Panthers. First of all, in the Patriots, they're four and four now, can they make a playoff push? They are trying to make the wild card basically the bills that you've already had. But if the Patriots who are four and four can go on a run here, they have a real legitimate shot to make it into the AFC wildcard final 7th spot there. And then it's also stiff on Gilmore, a stud corner for the Panthers, playing against his old team. He was once a defense player of the year, literally, I think 2019 is when he won it. So two years ago now, two years ago, this guy was defensive player of the year this year, the Patriots traded him away for almost nothing to Carolina. And so it's Stefan Gilmore playing against his former team. I would think wanting revenge on them not handling his injury, the way he wanted and not wanting to keep him just getting rid of him. I would be like, hey, I won't revenge against my old team. Also, with Sam darnold, the Panthers young quarterback against Bill Belichick. Sam darnold played for the jets for a couple of years since 2018..

"On Saturday, November 20th, Michigan state plays at Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. We're going to learn a lot from that game. Now my number four team in the country right now is Oklahoma. They had a couple of close games early on this year. Then they been Spencer Rattler they're putting Caleb Williams at the quarterback position. T elevated this team, things might have been different if Caleb Williams had played all year rather than Spencer rather that Spencer Rattler at times held back Oklahoma's football team on offense, and that's part of why the two lane game is close. The West Virginia game is closest, Spencer out there was some playing very well. So Oklahoma's 9 and O, I think they're better than some of the, again, the box score, some earlier in the year. We're a lot closer than people might be comfortable with. A part of that's because the quarterback position was wrong for them. I want to watch the Oklahoma offense against an SEC football team watching Caleb Williams against Alabama would be really, really fun. Kind of reminds me of the year. We got to see Kyler Murray against Alabama. I want to see that happen. Number 5, I have Michigan state. They're the only undefeated team left in the Big Ten. They still have not played a pen state or Ohio State yet, though, so we'll see what happens there. And then number 6, we have 8 NO Cincinnati for the record. I hope since then he gets into the college football player. I think it'd be fun. But we need to have a nuanced conversation like the strength of schedule matter. Are they truly one of the four best teams in the country Cincinnati? I don't think so. I'm not even sure that Cincinnati is the number 6 best team in the nation. Like I ranked Cincinnati number 6. I think Oregon's probably better, probably. I think organ is better than since 99. So I would put Cincinnati at 6 because I like the story and that does matter to me, but I certainly can't put Cincinnati as one of the top four teams in the country. I feel uncomfortable, putting it in at 6, but it's fun, so why not? I'm really curious. Wake forest, Oregon, Cincinnati, Michigan state right now, is keeping themselves in the hunt. You've got Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, all these teams are just kind of in the nebulous just sitting around waiting and we will see I'm really excited to see what happens in the college football playoff rankings as the year goes on. The national title really does feel like a battle between Alabama and Georgia anyway. So it's like, well, if Georgia loses to Alabama and the SEC title game, then in my opinion, and they both get in and it's a null conversation anyway..

"Until he shows he can, no one should ever believe he will again. And I mean, the Michigan fans I talked to going into this football game were like, we think we're gonna get exposed next week against Michigan state. Somebody even wrote in with that on Patreon. So I think Michigan fans realize who they are. And then the question is, a lot of people are saying, should Jim Harbaugh be fired? It's like, well, you have to decide what do you want? Is Michigan okay, not beating Ohio State, not beating. Michigan state, when they have a good year or are they just, are they satisfied winning? 9 or ten games a year and being very, very good or does Michigan want even more? Does Michigan want to get to the college football playoff? If they do, they probably got to find a better coach. But it's hard to fire a coach like Jim Harbaugh who's winning a ton. But isn't quite winning enough. Because do you risk losing Jim Harbaugh and going taking a step backward as a program? So a lot of interesting conversations are going on at Michigan. Personally, I think I realized hey, you're a tough academic school in the Big Ten, and you're winning a lot of football games. I think you should just be happy. But the question is, is Michigan happy with what they're doing? And do they want even more out of their football program? A game number two, number 18 auburn beat number ten ulmus 31 to 20. This is a really fun football game. Auburn quarterback Bo next played really, really well. He was 22 for 30 passing with 276 yards. One touchdown passing two more rushing, I like bone mix, man. Bone nicks is a guy that I don't know. I just need to watch this film. I feel like I say this every week. I don't really know where he's going to land as an NFL quarterback. I need to do a deep dive into his film, but every time I watch bone next, I see good stuff that I like, and I'm like, well, it wouldn't shock me if bone nicks ended up being a good quarterback in the NFL. I just, I don't know that I have enough film analysis done on my end to make a declaration like that. It was pretty sad, old myths had multiple opportunities late in the game to make it interesting. They could not do that in the third quarter, almost had multiple turnovers. They turned over the ball on downs two times in auburn territory. That's brutal for oldness. And then late in the fourth quarter, they threw an interception in the end zone. Almost kept getting in their own way. I mean, they just, it was a much closer game than 31 to 20 would suggest, but on this, just could not make key plays when it mattered most in the second half. Now, the other game I watched that had no bearing on the college football player. There's only one more every other game we'll talk about from here now. It's about in relation to the college football playoff. But number 11 Notre name beat number I guess unranked North Carolina 44 to 34. It's another fun game man. UNC made it interesting..

"I have intentionally said very, very little about Desean Watson so far for the last I don't like the last year basically. And that's because most news has come out about deshaun Watson has been non football related. And I love sports. I want to talk about sports and I want to talk about football. I don't want to talk about legal cases. And this new person said that I just don't that's not what I do. I don't know anything about legal stuff. But the NFL trade deadline has come and gone and despite what many people said and believed deshaun Watson did not get traded at the trade deadline. And so he's still a member of the Houston Texans. And no one made a move for him because the asking price was too high, given that his legal situation is still unclear. You're not going to give up three first round picks when you're not even sure if he's going to play for your football team. And this is why I want to talk about Sean Watson. There were all these trade rumors, and I think that they give a opportunity to provide a lesson for NFL football fans. And so I want people to, when you hear an NFL rumor, you have to ask yourself, who does this rumor benefit? Because somebody leaked it out to the media. They sent a text here, they sent a direct message there to let somebody who's got a platform, put it out to the world. And I felt like every rumor that I saw for about the last week. Was put out there by the Houston Texans to try to boost his trade value. Again, I saw there was this kind of thing going on behind the scenes where nobody was willing to give up very much for Desean Watson because again, it's too risky. What if you trade away three first round picks? And then he can never, ever play for your football team. So Texans, the Houston Texans obviously wanted a lot for him, but nobody was willing to give up very much to get him. And when I saw a rumor, for example, supposedly, the Carolina Panthers were offering running back, Christian McCaffrey and three first round picks. I saw that and I laughed and went that's a real, that's not a real rumor. And that trade was never on the table. It was clear to me Houston put that out there to try to drive Miami's price up. And apparently, then Carolina told Christian McCaffrey himself, they said, now that's not true. We never were going to consider trading you away. And so Miami was being manipulated by Houston, Houston's trying to put out to the world, hey, look what Carolina is willing to offer and they're like, hey, Miami..

"Minnesota could lose that football game and they did. And they didn't just lose Cooper rushed through for 325 yards, Kirk Cousins, the Vikings expensive quarterback. At a 184 yards passing. I thought Kirk kind of got shown up by a backup quarterback on national TV. That's embarrassing, that's bad. It was terrible. I get it. The cowboys pass rush gave Kirk Cousins all kind of problems. All game. I really thought the cowboys played great on defense, but. The Vikings are still three and four at the end of the day losing to a backup quarterback. And it's looking more and more like both the coach Mike Zimmer and the quarterback Kirk Cousins are kind of done in Minnesota. I don't know if they can get rid of Kirk based if I'm a Vikings fan, I know Kirk has not been awful this year. But he continues to lose in key important moments. And I just know that when the Vikings brought in Kirk Cousins to give him a massive contract fully guaranteed, they've been waiting and waiting in Minnesota for that to pay off, and it hasn't. I mean, they're just not. They were hoping Kirk was going to put them over the top and make them a Super Bowl contender. They're nowhere close right now. And so I would say that Kirk Cousins experiment failed in Minnesota. No game number three, the eagles beat the lines 44 to 6. This is not about fairly but Philly did have 236 yards rushing. Here's what I want to talk about. The lines are zero and 8. It's been awful this year. And I think if you're a Lions fan, your only focus right now is on drafting the liberty quarterback Malik Willis, you need somebody who can make big plays with the quarterback position. You need a lot more than that, too, but certainly Jared Goff is not the answer long term in Detroit. And I want to remind you, remember all the people that were there were a lot of people in the camp of saying that Matthew Stafford was the problem in Detroit. And those people who blamed Matthew Stafford for the years and years.

"It's a great trade for LA, way to go, I didn't even know von Miller was available. Now, maybe I'm not paying close enough attention, maybe maybe the talk in Denver was or we're going to trade von Miller, maybe not. I didn't realize von Miller was even on the trading block. So it seems like from my outside perspective like the ram said, we're going to make von Miller available by giving you a good trade. You can't refuse. And good on the ramp. So again, I think the rams are closer to a Super Bowl, that's a fantastic trade for LA. Now Denver, Denver. I thought von Miller was going to be a key part of the team. They were building to von Miller won a Super Bowl years ago with Peyton Manning. And I thought Denver built a great roster that just needed a good quarterback and if they got a good quarterback, they were gonna put together deep playoff run. It honestly truly believed that about Denver. And then they didn't get a quarterback. They got teddy Bridgewater, and you're like, all right, like I guess teddy's the answer and he wasn't. And they passed on Justin Fields and instead of becoming a key player that helped them make a deep playoff run von Miller became a trade piece for the Denver Broncos, and that's really sad because I thought Denver clearly had way more potential than they've shown all year. And I watched Justin Fields, by the way, had a crazy touchdown for the bears on Sunday. It was fourth down. Ball is on the ground. He makes a man miss reverses field runs for a touchdown and you're like, I'm so glad Denver drafted a corner. Like, you know, 'cause quarterback and cornerback defense and the guy that touches the ball every single play, they're equal. They have the exact same amount of value to your football team. Oh, oh, they don't. Oh, they don't. That's right. No, quarterbacks are way more valuable than a corner. I don't know what Denver was thinking. I don't know why Denver didn't draft Justin Fields. You'll never be able to explain to me why that was a good move. At the time, didn't understand it. I still don't understand it. There was a time a couple weeks ago where I tried to understand it and I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't get it. I don't know what Denver's doing. I don't know why they didn't feel the urgency to get a quarterback and work ahead, Jessica goes, how did I feel like any time I talk about Denver now? I'm going to have to talk about the fact that they passed on Justin Fields. I don't mean to do that, but here's where we'll go with this. Von Miller was in Denver for ten years. And he was drafted in 2011 out of Texas a and M and I kind of wonder if von Miller is going to keep his house in Denver. He's been there so long, his family's there. He's very, very established in Denver. And I just encourage you to remember NFL players are people too. Like, you know, to move your family. It's got to be tough for von Miller. It's hard to feel that bad for the guy. Going to sunny Los Angeles to a good football team, but I would imagine this is still a very difficult emotional thing to go from the franchise..

"Without Derrick Henry at running back. And I guess we're going to find out. I thought it might be a game or two. I thought maybe I was what I really thought was going to happen is at some point Tennessee's going to a defense against Tennessee's going to load the box, take away the running game. I did not anticipate, oh, you might lose Derrick Henry for the entire year. And I think the season is probably over. I don't know that they can, they're passing game in my opinion, can not elevate them to succeed the way they've done in previous weeks throughout the rest of the year. Maybe Adrian Peterson's fantastic filling in and as much better than anybody expected, although I will say there's a reason why he wasn't on a team already. Every NFL team had an opportunity to sign Adrian Peterson in August and they chose not to. So there's something there. I wonder, how does the Titans passing game do and play action without Derrick Henry? Maybe they can't even use it because is the threat to run. It's not going to be equal to what it was before Derrick Henry. And the question is, again, can Tennessee throw to win? I don't think so. Although I will say it's a bit, people are really eager to declare the Titans season over. Let's give them some respect. They've got a great safety. They've got two good receivers. They've played really good football and certain parts of their season. And I just, they're not nothing without Dara Henry. I just don't know that they're the same without Derek Henry pretty clearly. That's an obvious statement. So I want to give it a couple of games. We'll see how things go. It's possible, Tennessee will be okay because maybe Adrian Peterson's great, maybe the passing game steps up. I thought they'd been making progress all year long. But I'm not going to declare the season over. But they're on the watch list and we'll see they're kind of on probation. And in three or four weeks, we'll see where is Tennessee now and if they fall, what if they're 6 and 6, four weeks from now? They're 6 and two right now. They lose four games in a row, then you're like, well, clearly they're not a Super Bowl contender. They're kind of there were already a team I wasn't sold as a Super Bowl contender before the Derrick Henry injury. Now I'm like, well, pretty clearly, they're not. So we'll see what happens. I don't want to, again, I don't want to be in a hurry to write them off, but I'm very, very skeptical. This is great for the colts. Unfortunately, the colts lost. If the colts, the colts are three and 5, Tennessee 6 and two, the question is can Tennessee keep that gap wide enough to win the division? I have no idea. But that's going to be a really interesting race throughout the rest of the year. Now, there was the trend of a trade deadline was really, really boring. There wasn't a lot that happened. Oh no that can junior in OBJ didn't get traded Deshawn Watson didn't get traded..

You're listening to balance of power with David Weston on Bloomberg radio Bloomberg reported this week that the Treasury Department and other agencies will give the green light to a plan for the SEC to take the lead role in regulating stable coins something chair Gary gensler has been pushing for likening the coins to bank deposits that have to be backed up by reserves to explain the move and how it fits into the larger issues of regulating cryptocurrencies I talked to Todd silverman of Superman compliance services The SEC is sort of drifted into this area in the past It doesn't seem like this would be this kind of congressional action If it's security the SEC has the authority to regulate it I guess that could be challenged But I think it's pretty clear I think I'm pretty solid ground here It is the basic idea here for stable coins which are as I understand tied to a Fiat currency that in fact there are reserves that basically are reasonably liquid to back it up because that's the promise as I understand it of the stable coin Yeah that's how it's supposed to work Now how that exactly will work is a little unclear which currency is backed up and where that will be held And ultimately who's going to be the party on the hook to the extent that you have a breaking of the valuation Is this a like money markets essentially That's how I understand it So money markets with a crypto overlay Yeah I think that's exactly right So this would be one step in that direction Maybe not requiring congressional action What else needs to be done Because this is just stable coins we're talking about For example Bitcoin would not be covered by this as I understand it Yeah I think look there's a lot going on in the crypto space As I'm sure you're all aware the SEC finally approved a Bitcoin futures ETF fund the pro share is fund which is done very very well A lot of demand for that And then there's a lot of pushing for additional crypto funds those that potentially will invest in future invest directly crypto The SE isn't there yet I think the future is fund is testing the market but some of the concerns with investing in futures are solved as opposed to investing directly in the cryptocurrency things like valuation and liquidity It's much more difficult in a direct investment And that is because with respect to futures as opposed to the underlying Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency there is a regulatory level inserted because of the futures right I think that's part of it The futures market is a fairly well established market It's regulated futures prices are regulated So I think the SEC is more comfortable with that And obviously Gary Gus are used to run the CFTC So he is not a neo fight when it comes to the futures market I think the commission and many people in the market are just less comfortable with direct trading and the coins themselves although we're moving in that direction There's no question about it Talk about some of the other issues that would not necessarily resolve just by making sure that a stable coin is backed up by the Fiat currency it's supposed to be tied to What are some of the other issues that regulatory authorities should be concerned about or for that matter Congress I still think at the end of the day this is not affirmation market right Valuation is still a little fuzzy and what I would say is volatile I think that's in volatile markets create situations and in consequences or unintended So that's a big one Will those markets actually liquid will they seize up I think there's security concerns around the underlying technology and then of course you got some tangential concerns like the environmental concerns which have been raised around crypto mining which have not been solved either So there's quite a few things that we need to be addressed But I think they all can be addressed primarily with disclosure and with some of the SEC's traditional mechanisms Are we in a competition globally here with other jurisdictions that are more accepting of cryptocurrency than perhaps the United States Oh I think absolutely Look I think crypto is here to stay Either as a currency or a payment mechanism et cetera Someone's going to someone is going to be the primary regulator because people got to feel safe I think it should be the SEC they're the best and most knowledgeable regulator in the world is secure financial markets But if the SEC continues to push crypto away somebody else will take on that regulatory responsibility whether it be one of the European regulators perhaps China perhaps the offshore regulators But I think yes you should just step in here and make the U.S. the primary venue for crypto trading So the SEC as you say has a long track record of being a very sophisticated regulator At the same time going back to the very beginning you said as certain aspects of a security But does cryptocurrency have aspects of security Do you have an ownership represent an ownership interest in some asset which is what the security typically does Well I don't want to get to inside legal mumbo jumbo but it has to do with whether you're under the SEC how we test whether you're benefiting.

Gabrielle Union Files Discrimination Complaint Against Simon Cowell and 'AGT'
"Gabrielle union I there's some news about Gabrielle union yeah in fact she filed a complaint Thursday so Gabrielle union you'll remember let's back up a little bit we'll just say that the headline is that she has filed a discrimination complaint against America's got talent's producers along with NBC universal will we'll talk about the details in just a moment but I do think it's helpful to back up and remind people that this is not the first time they've heard of Gabrielle union's harassment complaints against NBC universal and America's got talent so let me just give you a little background on that we talked about that I actually can't remember the specific when new time this very fleeting at this moment do you are you tight when we initially yeah I talked about and that was like a month ago maybe actually you know what I have to be to win new terror it was November of last year okay we learned that Gabrielle union had a complaint a number of complaints to lodge against America's got talent but specifically Simon how you remember that's when we learned about for example the story about Jay Leno making a racist joke during a commercial break that they were filming so all that was you know just under a year ago but then and we knew stuff was going on behind the scenes because NBC universal had talked about how they were addressing the issue but we really didn't hear anything else well apparently being made the negotiations which they were in the midst of conducting were not enough order Gabrielle union didn't feel that those negotiations were leading to the results she was hoping for which it seems that is the reason that she went ahead and filed this complaint and I should say that this complaint is actually very likely a precursor to an actual lawsuit so that's that's that's what I know about blackouts I'm old I am I never happened just works okay so sorry technical difficulties over okay so this is the will so we're now in the precursor to a lawsuit that will be ruled out by Gabrielle union for these discrimination allegations likely I read the story in variety which talks about how this is all laid out and what the complaint actually is who it's to and I can tell you that the complaint itself was filed with California's department of fair employment and housing and it name specifically three outfits FremantleMedia Simon cowl's production company Syco or Sicko I don't know he said it's probably not psycho and then NBC universal and again those D. F. E. H. complaints are usually precursors to a lawsuit and Holly brought this up during the dirt alert so the NBC entertainment chairman Paul to like be he has also been accused in this recent complaint of threatening Gabrielle union through her representative for speaking out against the racism on the set that she felt she witnessed okay so this is like an onion right like the layers of an onion yeah there sure initial allegations that she shared publicly and you said it was in November past that well that's when the story broke we should say about her because you'll remember she and Julianne Hough four let go and I think it was shortly there after that we started learning that not all was well right so so there's that like sort of pod right so like you know she talked about things not being so great on set in November and then just in the complaint of that or the public awareness of that then she starts to experience harassment as a result of speaking out yes so when she you know made those those complaints public apparently she claims that she faced pushback and directly threats from the head of NBC's entertainment okay S. and you know none of the people that were names I believe are speaking with the exception of a spokesperson for NBC universal and here's what they said very categorically quotes the allegation that anyone involved in this process threaten his union is categorically untrue we took ms unions concerts CERN seriously and engaged an outside investigator who found an over arching culture of diversity on the show NBC universal remains committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds are treated with respect it sounds like a very boiler plate you have to lease you know cover all your bases response it does not address the specific our issues brought up in her complaint and her people are taking you know everyone to task as a result I I'm not going to read the full response from her she I found this interesting this little side note but she's got this person speaking on her behalf and it says that he has power of attorney his name is Brian Friedman I'm not I'm not sure if that's just her legal representative but I'm I'm wondering if it's because of like coal bed that she he has to act as her power of attorney because maybe she's not able to be wherever interesting racing or maybe that's just totally standard but like when our attorney Mike white is Gabby union union you need our
