Boston - Bill Belichick’s Praise Of Cam Newton Is Rather Effusive, What’s It Mean?
"Bill. Belichick sounds like he's literally in love with Cam Newton loves his personality work ethic loves everything about Him Mike Vick. What'd you make of Bill Belichick's high heaping praise of Cam Newton. It sounds like they send up value to have cam out. There we want. Right you don't hear coaches praising. You know a a number two. Guy Who who comes in and he's competing we can work hard I think word around the League has been over the last couple of years how hard he's worked not think bill belichick is a chance to see first hand and would you have a guy like camp out of practice every day making plays working haw stand late coming here. Early you start to visualize what you can do on the field on on on Sundays and Thursdays and Mondays and Like okay. This is a guy who was who's been prominent plan league for a long time. Now, he's on my team and and Everybody's into winning and Cam gives them a great chance of winning each and every week. especially if he's healthy and they they know what's going on with Cam, you know day in and day out healthwise and I think this is setting up with some whites bigger. We could see cam behind the center we one if he's picking up the offense he if he's standing the concepts and. How office needs to be orchestrated and I'll say it is. It's more in this odd minutes now then it probably was with Brady in terms of a run game clues Cam. So that's going to be a big reason or big fact that you know to have cam on a field at some point early in the season. Zone read. Now you got options more that you can do. So the innovation is there. And that's why. Bill. Singing the praises he sees working and he knows what he can do when he visualizes out on the field what can take place. So it was good to hear this man I'm excited for Cam and I know at some point. He's going to get a shot. He's going to be the man behind the center.

"Tom Brady's like don't forget about me because Wilson? was in their. Self. And now, all of a sudden, it is a very crowded room seven weeks into the season Russell. Wilson Open that door at those three pigs. Mahomes in their mahomes do for two hundred yards. How'd you sneak him in their sixteen? Sixty touchdowns one. Pins in football guys play. By Far Russell Wilson picked off by Buddha, bigger does he came at? Twenty two miles an hour down the field covered one hundred and fourteen yards to save this from a touchdown. I can't watch this enough today in incredible Hasselblad. Mike Vick. Was this. Very impressive coaches of praise you more for play like that. Then they will for a touchdown reception north touchdown run, and now the moment where I wanted to pull my two year old son in the Roman say watch this plate is aw effort because at some point, if you play ball, you may have to do that since the message to all the kids out there. Is No substitute simple effort. This is amazing play by became metcalf. Probably one of the greatest plays the he'll have make in his career. So. So true Mike you know there's the the one handed touchdown, one handed grabs. There's the big games how lack of went for two hundred yards, fifteen receptions but these are the plays that you dream up as a player especially someone who really cares passionate about the game because you know that this makes what we call the highlight tape coach is going to show. This to everyone is saying, this is how we do this type of play gets you that see on your chest, the captain he is a freak I said in a couple of weeks ago nick laughed at me. Well, he didn't really laughed at me, but he didn't know if I was being serious, but he is the best wide receiver in the game right now. Nick I never got a vote on this. All of a sudden. We decided to refer to everything miles per hour. It's like de Que McKenna. As fast as a slow car with what I would like to get back into like three times or something like that money one. Hour. Makes it less of. A bad stat. Take Wild and general just leave it at this. There's only one other receiver in the league that could attract down Buddha Baker and it's tyreek hill, but it will never get the chance because mahomes wouldn't have made that mistake Jenner. Buffalo. Wild we do have to discuss what the Patriots State yesterday we're going to do that on the other side wasn't great buckle up gotTa do it much more first things first after this was another brutal day for the New England patriots, patriots hosting Jimmy G. in the niners. After news it was so bad. In fact, Cam Newton who had a miserable day was actually benched going into the fourth quarter and once things got out of hand really camel had nine completions ninety eight yards. He threw three picks on the day. Jarrett. Stidham. Came in on relief. It was to no avail niners blown out the Patriots. Here's Cam Newton after the loss. I.

"New. Never heard that before so you might seem smart to yes it because children express themselves and they are spread themselves in various informs. And you are okay but you have to express his in more of a positive manner. He can't Antler Shit at home right so you know and it keeps. It keeps a learning going in a different avenue. That's that's dope that they don't disindicators home. I was the class clown Alan kind of kids so you know I had my fair share of Y. You know teachers didn't fuck with me because I was laughing. They eight hours a smart. Or what serious and you know then the test comes get good grades in and then it's like oh you're different than these other blacks but it was so such a weird thing and honestly a lot of it was because I was in class too low for my For my ability time board they could do they put me on them. Hard classes does not flowing as much as I. Read this chapter one motown character. Keep keep living your truth sidekick and rocky keep them pygmies in Li- thank you have a great holiday. "On on point with that in that I think is historically grounded. Say More about all of those historically round things out But then the only other thing I wanted to mention is You know the tendency that you talked about with trying not to be too hard hard on black creative that resonated with me because one of the things I keep myself in check. Rebel is not being extra disappointed when I'm teaching African American literature extra disappointed in black students. They deserve to be students like anybody else. More expectation on them is how I WANNA roll so I try to keep myself in check I that was the last one but yeah I totally understand that too. Because there's an extra pressure like this is important this joe history but they'll come to when they come to it and honestly a good teacher. Sometimes the lesson you teaching people isn't right for now like they might not be ready for it but they remember that shit like stuff. Your parents tell you when your kid you haven't got that point yet but then one day. You're thirty I five. You're like fuck. That's what they meant. You think they can talk and yeah and the good teachers do that too. Where it's like you know I? This is why this is important. You know but you can't make people take it you know. Let me posit so we go next session all right back not a thing. I did want to say though. Oh is because I did talk about it on Bosnia but one of the things were Mike Vicks. I Dunno as you call it now but like the anger towards him I I I understand the people that don't WanNA forgive. Give him because there's people that you know I would never forgive starting shit you know Also understand I did it. Yeah yeah he paid his time and I still don't give. There's going to be people like that when amber guy gets out of prison you know as people that people like that all the time we feel about right and I just think what bothers me. The most is that white people Are never going to be able to relate or understand the complexity that a black person feels about my vic. They don't even recognize that Eh. They're the only ones who are this fucking angry about this man. I should tell them everything whether you intended righteous or not. You can't possibly put to the sire feelings enough to look at the circle of people around you realize there's no black people in Nice article. You think we just all fucking hate dogs. You think that's what it is. We're also racist that we're like a black man who killed dogs and we don't care that's not what it is. And it is hard to articulate. Because I'm when I listened to several podcasts you know white people have talked about this thing and they they just don't get it and they're never they're never gonna get it and I'm never gonna get it and the best way I can describe. It is is not to me about Michael Vick as a black man in like y'all races because you don't fuck with Michael Vick a lot of black people will say that but that's not a hundred percent accurate because he's saying why people also don't give a fuck about like ray rice. They don't care about Kobe Bryant. They don't care about Mike Tyson like they're not angry at them in the same way. No even if they I think those people committed all those crimes still angry in the same way right. There's a reason that might wake is a separate type of thing and it's not just as simple as rice. If that was the case they'd be keeping that same energy where every black person who ever did a crime. The thing for me is knowing what I know reading what I read thing in my what I think about when I read about like lynching of a black person and savagery that those black bodies were treated with and the crowd. The events. The cookhouse the picnics. These were white people mostly. Sometimes I WANNA cry too but these are white people who saw no humanity in those black people and they did worse things that he's black bodies and than white people than than than Mike Vick data those dogs and all the things that might make did those dollars. We're fucking psychotic like there's no. There's no way to read about his crimes and not go. Are there you go. That's just totally reasonable. Like a serial killer. She did they that he was doing and he did those things themselves. You know like this is not a way to sugar coat. Note that so Knowing that worse was done to black bodies in this country and the rage is not there. Right is hard for me to reconcile with that set because white people in their grandparents and our great grandparents they did that they are the progeny of that and in order for me to exist as a black person in this country. I've had to get used to that. That idea but you you know. I won't even repeat the atrocities here because I know is triggering the people here but you can go read about it easily and the things you can read about what my victim does dogs. And I'm telling you why people did worse to Black People's bodies and he just got to go on and live. They got jobs. They they produced family people that are upset at Mike. Vick are the offspring of these people apple and I don't know I can't reconcile their anger in his case because it's like so you are capable of being outraged enough to not WANNA person to even be able to make a living in any positive way years years later you are capable of then so if you are capable of it. Why doesn't that energy carry over to these other other atrocities and I wish I was big enough to get over it? But I can't is really he fucking with me and when I hear them expressed his raid I give right and you know I I I know enough to know. They haven't thought of it that way because they can't think of it that way because their lives are so fucking separate from my experience in this country they'll never understand what the fuck is trying to convey to them black people here in the sound of my voice no right now exactly what I mean I guess what what the fuck they look at us like we're are the ones who are crazy but you have forgiven so much from white people web done so much to us you forgive these police officers you forgive these politicians you forgive the fucking racist among you you know you you forget you forgive so much and yet you see you are incapable of giving this man you know and I and like I say it was consistent I think I can respect this same but it's not consistent you know you're capable of sitting George W Bush and going hey you know he was the president you capable of that I'm not I'm not saying that that's a bad thing to be capable of that but then you are incapable of business and I I can't fucking process it you know so I think that's what that's what I've been feeling about about Michael Vick I don't you know I don't want to just turn it into all y'all hey blog we will share it but y'all have accepted the head of black people is what it is it's not it's not just the child is not if you don't individually hey us that I don't okay but you have a lease tolerated and accepted this hatred of us you are not keeping same energy and maybe you do feel like dogs are better than humans. I heard a man Andy a client who I respect tremendously On three guys on he talked about how you know. There's a commonality black people who have been done wrong by other human beings should feel like yes. Animal would never do that to you know. They're they're fucking. A dog is better than a human being so killing innocent dog. It can almost be more make you more mad and there's two things one is a joke too often make but it's kind of low key series dollars on the wrong side. Addis over ice dogs attacking people as long as we've been in this country so the reverence that why people who will never hear about black people. We don't hold it. It will never be saying it'll never be shared. So you gotta get over that. And that's just a privilege of not having experience but in the second part is this black. We'll have never even been treated as good as dogs right. We have been trying to our whole fucking lives to have our humanity respected as evil to a to a human fucking being. We haven't gotten there yet so for these dogs. What a lot of black people are thinking when we see the fucking working pedals that are the dog is put on? That will never fucking sheets. 'cause we can't even get equal to why people so you're the fucking talking about compiegne this notion that the I refuse a fucking even engaging we're not there yet so so that's what I think about when I think about the my big shit is just off swirling thought that probably sound like incoherent rant. And you know it's very emotional. And I know that you know certain people folly Ali black people can hear this and now they'll relate why people feel it probably doesn't think it's fucking nonsense. The what does that got to do it anything exactly you. Don't you can't understand Dan. You can't understand your life as being too fucking different screen to fucking good. You can't understand how I could be like this mandate his time. That was a heinous thing he did. But what the fuck else. He plays football. You're going to be an honorary captain at some stupid ass thing. We're not going watch. And there's the fucking field full of people who've done things that I consider to be worse. That's right I don't think the dog should be all end. All to what I think is a horrible crime. He's just one of a month. One of many people who have done different cries whether he's tried to rehabilitate whatever that Shit is individualized on who decides what's okay. We're rehabilitation but just knowing that whiteness is so capable of moving the fuck on with the atrocities that have been done to us and many other people. They're just so capable of this that that's the thing that's that was in the past which I'll say well that's now that was that was my ancestor. That wasn't me. What am I supposed to do? I don't know IAGO petition. A Ed. y'All petition the COP. They tried to get the job in another town. He kills two Mirage. I don't do that you know I don't fucking Stay mugs gave me George Zimmerman. I you know you let trump in office you know. It's it is ridiculous. You think I'm not a serious person..

"A slave in and the people from our past would just dumb like they didn't come with no idea and this is because the white supremacy of not showing and teaching us they were dominating we know no better and shit like that when you like. Well that's not actually true in any idea that you come up with today. Somebody somebody else at some time has tried to execute Dan in some way shape form or fashion and all types of ways so it was by the. The ideas are not new underneath discern. The problem is the system right and the way the system is designed in the problem is is is the macro micro thing and it keeps changing right and it keeps changing. It keeps evolving because racism went from hanging on the tree to two. Now we pass laws from now past the mall to voter suppression from like eight keeps morphing from voter suppression to to to to mandatory sentences like it always evolved will always be there and there will always be around us and we there is so little compassion for black people In general I don't want to contribute to it so I try to have some level of heart to the fact that you know conditions and things were differently. May people arrived at different conclusions. I think is is kind of important that we don't lose. That feels like we are losing that more and more but Hopefully we can get it back. I think you know. Hopefully the Internet can be used as a tool to educate people about these kind of things as opposed to something that's strips context away and just slow. I hate this person and I hate that person I would love for for people to kind of be able to pick out the bigger picture and be like there's a reason so and so says like like I said great interview all all of the smoke with Stephen a Smith one of my favorite interviews of the year probably and when he talks to Stack Jack Stephen Jackson and matt bars and they're now trying to be you know they work on. TV THEY DO commentary An analysis as says I think he was talking to Stephen Jaques in and at the Stephen Jackson did a good job on the show or whatever he pulled onto the site and he said now Steven. You're doing a good job and if you want if you want to have a future here go ahead and get you some nice tailored soups now out of context. I can see people if I just wrote that. He said that on twitter nothing else people will be like seat at fucking respectability politics comb. That's because that's what we're comfortable doing now but Stephen Jackson was like and I thank them and I did get some suits and now I work. I'm working here and I'm doing I'm trying to come up. I'm trying to get him to analysis in analysts sports analytics whatever personalities he's like you are Lebron James. You know like in the sports world right right but compared to how people view him outside of industry or on twitter or whatever totally different right and there's not to say obviously you listen to Sean. I'll just say this but the point being there was something more to it than just cone or not co Oh black and white bad good and I think that's the part that just we've lost so much of via the Internet and I wish wish we I don't know how we get it back but we've lost it and it's frustrating. There is something like you said that. A fucking good advice and if if you quote quote unquote say these things online. It's not politically correct. But honestly the people did Complain Online. They fall on the same fucking rules as they wouldn't have a job and he wouldn't be working. So what are we talking. Yeah Yeah Yeah. It's complicated man and I get some of us. ASPIRATIONAL like we don't want to have to do these things. But I mean the truth of the matter is is that's kind of how things are going to be structure and I you know. Imagine you have a child right. You have a child you raise the small for their eighteen or whatever whatever they ready to go get a job doing a certain thing and you know nobody that does this job is doing blank right so of AH listen son I know you won't get this face Tattoo but you get this face tattoo. They're not GonNa let you work at blank As a parent hereon out. I'd be irresponsible to be like. Nah Look what respectability get their face tattoo. I don't give a fuck if they won't hire you on a bank of America they they can kiss my ass. They should hire you. Like what now irresponsible. Because I just let you do something without even giving you the fucking you know the full context of what this decision you're making could be right. I'm not talking about forbidding or not forbidding. I'm talking about even giving you the information online. There's choices you make right like we are now frowning on that and I think that's that's very destructive In the part of the book I'm in now for For one of us us they talk about how other black people who have been in the north and in the West for a little bit longer the black people coming up from the south who were migrating rated resented those black people. Because you come with Joe unsophisticated. Naive country asked ways. And I'll be sitting in this city trying to get respect from these wipe post. I can get this type of job so you got your own. Black people hate known you for for for doing what they just did. A generation earlier away like their parents did during the civil war or something like that and now you come up in nineteen thirty five and like fuck you you country you you the reason that things are bad for us. Light light that type of internal conflict and we're constantly in trying to unwind undo it for myself you know and some people I talk to people all the time I could tell that I'm the weird when when I'm like yeah I used to feel this way about you. Know certain type of people that you know black people with this type of paying but I I just stopped you. They can always feel them kind of you know judging a little bit like I'm a out a I didn't tell you what to do but I I'm letting go because I knew it was from a bad. Yeah place you know. All right last voicemail. Okay it.

Priests particularly threes from other countries. Like the West indies from country Africa. Those services have been noticeably longer longer. I kept noticing how into their homilies. They were getting especially during the mid day service when there were more was more time and it will go from one hour to hour out fifteen minutes or hour and a half excetera. Don't get me wrong. There's still a very short time to where I had in the past but I was four and had gotten used to the service only going to sorry time so I wouldn't die of hunger. I had to make plans to go to this eight. AM servers because there was definitely a time so that they could get ready for his next service and and wouldn't allow the guy for two plus hours. Racism Shit I think they just don't care and they don't know and the people that handed down knowledge to them did not talk about that shit or they said he was happy slaves and shit and that's just another cognitive initiative dissonance buckets to believe she wasn't that bad and so that's what happens now. I did this idea that we should photoshop slaves into do the background these pictures and shot my man Jack. LA flair on twitter. fucking land away and did it Ah He took it to the smartest he did. That's one of the things I learned from Karen because I I've many a time try had a fake my way through some Indo looking even dumber than if I were to just been opener front like I don't know what the fuck you talking about. The main thing that separates this black podcast from others none of the religious posturing. There's so many black park has do with someone who believes religion has done more harm resting. Good it's so nice to hear two black holes. Giving their total one hundred percent pay is about the blessed holly favorite rhetoric attached. I simply love these two. Yeah Man I took the speaking things you know development on the show that took a while for me to even like talk about on the show you know was being like an atheist alike. Yes so oh you know and I. It's not it's weird because when you say that as a black person obviously is more complicated Because you're essentially you're you're essentially talking about the black church which was very very essential par. You're a black resistance. So there's a history that I don't ever want to disrespect right but at the same time I I'd be less than honest to look around. It has really why are people and really being used for bad things not just black people. But in the world engines ignore that shit and I feel like that's the part that is weird. Three every single infraction from religion. Like it's an individual individual problems like if dollars has enabled thousands of children to be abused. I can't just sit by good conscious and B. Ly. Well you got a few rotten apples. No that's the Catholic problem. y'All fucking kids. Okay does not good no other organization in the fucking planet could get away with that And be in a be. Okay you know what I mean like like. If that was lows there will be no more lows fucking garage so breath but I also try to do it without just like constantly banging on religion because I you know I you know my goal is not just hop on hand rely limitation. What's wrong with these? Christians is every week because it's not like I'm hurt by Christianity or whatever. I know some people will come atheist because they were hurt in church like they really believed in something bad happened to him and then it's like fuck church book. How Christians? I have no animosity in that way. But I'm just being honest about the impact that has had and you you know and some of the things that it's done to the community I feel like aren't good so But thank you guys for artifice reviews. We appreciate them. I'll allow them and we did get some comments on the website and let's go to the blackout. TIPS DOT com the first episodes feedback episode. Two Thousand Eight. A Ma says about these phones. My daughter was so disappointed when she realized that upgraded my phone. She asked to see my hand and took my finger. She looked at me. And I just said it doesn't use a fingerprint on his phone and I haven't put my face on it because she gets my husband's I found it just puts it in front of his face. Not Me you have to ask. I was like no I know it has adult content on. No ma'am right. So that's why I was wrong. Wrong Go see classic a RB low says. Hello can't should I say psychic I I know I have my own ass. I mean we all do but the nerve that person label Canada's a psyche. I wonder if they listen to pre-game Abbasi and if so did you just how did Justin it is interesting. How people denigrate women without the slightest dot come on classic rb love? That's all I was saying like because it was like someone on twitter. And you know these people they. They don't be on twitter a lot so sometimes I can't tell if it's just a lack of twitter etiquette or they say you know and then also you have to get used to the fact that people see what we do as product is not necessarily uh us. It's kind of hard cause us making this product and the product is us anywhere augury. Yes they oppose something on our on our Hashtag being like well. Can't you know maybe I could be not misogynistic. Sadness think Canada's a psyche because it's not actually introduced any segments and I was like. Yeah Excel I listen to a lot of podcast where both hosts house don't introduce segments is only why hose kind of moving briskly briskly along and even when when it's a man I and I've never heard someone say that society not once just in we add same format on the sport show and pre-game not once have I got that we've we've been doing. I think I looked up. We done three hundred and thirty of those does not not one feedback ever has been like. He's not enough of the show or he's as a side cake or not a coast. Right Reggie Nick. Ju I listened to him every week. They get feedback. Never once is Reggie. He's some considered as I say you know normally nick do is the one who because just the way. Things organized moderates and organizers. You're saying is it has to do it. And I I and I say this I think what happens. It's kind of like the common someone races. They hear raises and in a Bristle and they go absolutely not not me. Couldn't be and what what else saying instead is. I think people have like massage. Everyone has misogyny inside. Sometimes we just don't even consider it. Why and then when you say? Hey okay well that could be a bit of a misogynistic way of looking at it to say this person is here for every fucking episode of the show ever is not the CO host. Only and it's not something you would ever accuse a man of being That may become from misogyny. It's like people can relate. They can't hear it. They just shut up la La la La You know this person. I didn't respond when I said I actually might go back into Zulema response. 'cause it wasn't mean or anything but I was like you know. Have you thought about this. But they're not interested in listening they're never know saying what they had to say and just dip it I'm the one that keeps thinking. It's going to be a conversation. But the other thing he was Was I think But Yeah Yeah. It's just you'd never see that. Oh I know it was. There's a NPR episode about vocal fry typing NPR ROCA FRY. NPR has to deal with the fact that they have women host and they get so much negative feedback only on the shows hosted by women and they get. It's about avoid a lot of stuff they can't chain generic. They have responses that they send people right and to the point where they basically throw people's emails in the trash in the virtual trash. Because because I like this is an email that we've just decided we noticed we've gotten so many of these we know is just about the fact that women we don't get these about men ever and it's not about their opinions is about the the the sound of their voice. You can't stand to hear a woman's voice and then you have to write in. Tell us about it like that but you would you not misogynistic. We're always programmed to deal with this person and write in talk about my voice too high for a guy as big as me like what the Fuck Xavier means my voice. I can't do shit about you. Know Anyway Brooklyn Shubais says thank you for the new the evil inside design just bought me a t shirt. Aw Shit See I promised to buy if you made it and I did happy holidays. Thank you I did. I made that tee shirt specifically with children in mind I did not. I had no idea where this it's a little like I just kind of made a random design and put it into words and I'm glad you enjoyed it The poll was. Do you mail out holiday cards. Yes yes or no thirty five. An Ordinance says yes sixty five percents no. We haven't done it in loan time I used to do until I mean we. I AH melon out. Every year I mean yes. Every year I plan to take family pigs and upload them I'll shut a fly and make them operating operating mail them out in hand or at least hand them out never happens though this year. I'll say it again. I say that's another reason. I say turn into holiday cars. I like the end of the year the extra days at the Christmas. Or you know Ottawa. Yeah that's Yeah Oh Ooh all the way to MLK day. Alex I I believe in this too is a holiday card. It's not late it's early. Mlk Day Amasi says. I'm just not organized enough ozzy. People are saying cars the photos to now grandparents mccown and odor arts and uncles. Veronica's Ain't no lie. Yeah I think being a line is Kinda done away with the idea. Yeah that's the big into a multi multibillion standoff Miss Barr Says Sam's Club fuck me up this year. Our My holiday causes shifting in a photo lab. Was This I. Some y'all cars going to gain the mail at Christmas is fine. We're going to base. Normally I do but this year. I didn't get a chance to buy a new car so everyone might get e cars only send out about ten year. My family my good friends wrong with that. Yeah I'm just always interested in I I didn't do cars until we start a podcast and it was just an idea. I had a few years ago. And I'm actually Kinda surprised I stuck with it because there's not really the Kinda Shit I do. This is not his thing him. We ever saw two thousand nine a judgment free rezone cannon. Justin known we ask the comments of People Katrina says this episode was drenched in Petty. Laugh my ass off. I hated it but I couldn't stop laughing Pulo Tintin genetic John Janika says my Auntie bought me. The what doesn't kill you makes you blacker acker book for Christmas cake. The read it. Thanks for reading the experts. Also good owing Julie and in a small world revelation like one of the people. I was reading about that passage asked he listens to this show. That was crazy the world so strong. And that's crazy I was like I didn't make you feel bad. We kind of chatter back and forth. "Don't worry if it's FDI insured the sewer righteousness involving builder and dinner. Ladies was out of out of the fuck wait was out was out out this world. Okay got it type type of it was out this world. Thank you for expressing that. No one knows what to do when a random acts of violence occurs case in point my cousin lost her husband due to a domestic attack when his his friend and the guy's girlfriend Between his friend and the GUY's girlfriend. Wow he tried to de escalate with words but the guy took a fish and stabbed him. Both guys are barely over. Twenty twenty five years old tragic part. My cousin was less to raise three. Young Children Tanning under luckily with Hell Family Alabama productive young adults. Yeah man you really really don't know and I think we get online and buying the safety of our phones we talk. Oh the game but man. You really don't fucking know what's what's he gonNa do and multiple what's GonNa Perhap- right and multiple aren't gonNA jump in or they're going to grab their phones or they're gonNA walk away. The average person when robots to row are not willing willing to risk their life for anybody else mold the average person no matter how big and Bono matter if you think you will is I think I will and something actually happen because I think about. The incident happened in Seattle with those Muslim girls and died. That was more than just on that train. But those two men happened to be the two men I avenue right to go forward and the worst part to me was the reaction online where people being alive. I don't know why people are applied knows men that die right. That's what people are supposed to do blah blah. And I was like I honestly was like y'all so woke that you're fucking stupid right like like your callous pieces of Shit for saying net. 'cause you know that these people gave their lives whether they knew it was a possibility. Yes they did it when when people sit there and Stan Dan. They're all you do. Is You know deride them and shit but then would need. These girls were alive and these girls were saying like we're thankful those me and saved our lives and go online and you have people who are literally being like. It's not a big deal to those men died for these girls and or you know like I don't know why why. Why are we always try to act like they deserve? Could you might well negative your diet. Maybe deserve got orioles. Maybe maybe we can give this guy could you. Maybe they can come to the costumes heavenly cookout okay. Maybe somewhere camera. At some point you had to stop performing blackness in a way as is not true to what blackness is in life like this noble white people are coming to the cookout ask fake blackness is so back to me because it's like it's not true and if you live I'd rather deal with the truth than the bullshit and I think that that was a prime example apple of what we call our eyes and people that really was dedicated to protecting these these young women I think I remember they were both black or one was black and one was but whatever protecting he's young women. Mba like now you're not GonNa do this year and and literally gave their lives up for and like I say you still saw so I'm gonNA response was like no big deal and I'm like nobody. We're talking about here. Nobody knows what is going to do. I just hope that you never have to be in that situation because you don't know if it's going to be your not right. We got some five star reviews on Stitcher as well uh-huh blue got two of them. Job Nine says girl so right now. I'm just kidding. But divey Dhabi nine and his name very insightful always relevant hours funding I have been listening to almost every episode for many years at this point. Roddick can have really shaped how the world they approached the world both patients and critical thinking. I think has the best judgment of any commentator. I'm aware of but I can also tell that a lot of it comes from his connection the care also in the last year I have never laugh harder than what Karen said. A certain person was having a hard time. I'll still laughing. They're the best. Thank you thank you. And that's a hell of a compliment. Thank you very much man. I sometimes I feel like When I talk about this stuff you know I think it's just because my brain rain and the way I processed you always feel like I'm letting people down because I'm not jump into normally two extremes you know and I you know I trauma promise not to be too harsh into judgment? Oh but I mean I'm human I associate I just. I'm not going to be able to see both is on and I'll just try to be focused on the bigger picture now because I think we have enough content telling US jump to conclusion. Make every rash decision Asian be as harsh ors or praiseworthy. You know like be like Gambia Hater. Like I think too much out. There is like that you know half breath and while I do you know how fun I enjoy people joy going up for stuff. I'm trying to just be a lot more. Cognizant of just like the things things I'm absorbing and what is the message is I'm receiving and what is trying to get me to do what actions they want me to take and also I think because of the way your mind take. That's why certain people are drawn to especially intellectuals or people that are like really want to kind of challenge themselves. They actually drawn to you. They won't to see what you think. Go Hi how you process it. How you how you filter things and you know and we we balance each other out because there are things where is came up and you've talked me baton rouse? I Okay I might be be too harsh on this. You know I might need to explain that. That compassion in these certain situations. And you know it's a balancing act not to always respond own your first instinct because a lot of times what I've realized particularly road road I get a lot of times. I response ain't the best is not is not thought out is based on pure raw emotions. And there's got the wrong with emotions any emotions can can help dictate a decision but every time you do shouldn't be dictated on that initial emotional reaction is not not healthy and it's not safe. Yeah I know this year particularly I said out on the podcast and just just life with the idea that I wanna lean more into just who I am and what I how I feel because sometimes I was making too much space for other people and I was being surrounded by too many any people's takes on shit that were they made. It feel like that was reality. And I'm not saying we are wrong or bad whatever. But he's just I I as an impact absorbing every fucking thing and sometimes you know they were having like for example whatever the pop culture celebrity who fucked up at a day is right. You picked whichever one normally is not that bad. You know what I mean like normally is something where I well you can understand how well intentioned person could fuck up. You also could understand how people ain't always been network. You also understand how some of the people coming down on these folks folks share the same views but maybe they weren't online at the time or maybe they learned a year ago and now shitting on everybody else and so I try to have some perspective and say well. What does person believes could be dangerous or harmful but at the same time? I don't know necessarily that I. It could've been me or it could have been somebody else. I love care about and stuff like that. You know this. Some plus honestly may have the way my brain works to is comedy comedy so like if I can find funny in it like why something to me is silly now might might be expressing something that goes directly against what my friend anything for example a lot of friends that are online friends. Anyway that thing is supposed to go to Thanksgiving and Christmas and slap day uncle as make make America great again or whatever the phone right and you know for years I would just be like okay. Well I guess go confront buggy but then over time I thought about like Dennis s kind of ridiculous. You know what I mean and then the joke finally settled on was motherfuckers. Wants you to go to Thanksgiving and fuck up your Christmas presents. You know. And that's funny objectively to me. You know go out your uncle over the cowboys game about trump. And then when it's time for a Christmas present you ain't getting shit you know Zang right and so it's just kind of it's like it's more relatable and funny but that that processes actually really thought process that I have because I don't think conversations not gonNA the Change People at Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think that that's how that works. You know so you know I had to come up with a way to be funny about it and so you know I appreciate people that take time out to say like you know and also I realized. That's what makes show different and makes a special in for me personally better than a lot of people shows. It's like I'm I'm not trying to fit the way not just trying to do people think and regurgitate back to them. Their opinion so they can pat me on the back in black. Oh you're so great you know and sometimes you know just like we. We've been doing for years. Sometimes people agree with a lot of Shit and fucking lovers and sometimes is they disagree and they don't like us as sometimes they come around and sometimes they don't you know some people that start off liking us and we hit a source by eventually we on something and they realized they can't handle differences of opinion you know or they can't handle a person that's not that that makes a joke about you know something that there's passionate about. They can't handle that and I and I accept that that's just part of the job. Now I the beef right and there's a long way way of Santa but I just thought worrying about whether or not people were going to like me or like what I was talking about or be pissed off because I'm doing my fucking best and that's all anybody is really responsible for you know and I try to approach things now with that in mind of other people like maybe this person is doing doing their best and they're not where I would like them to be but as possible they could get further along that path or get to the point. Where I'm looking Mike? Look at you look at all that growth you know. Well I don't want to be the person watching somebody walk them out and shitting on them every step of that mile like I. I'm I'll check back in you know the process is later so you know and yeah if you're doing something fucked up. I'm totally willing to be like that right. There was fucked up. But then you start trying to make steps to a mandate or do better. Are you know I'm GonNa keep that same energy of doing better good for you I let's see so Very survival do we read this. Okay yeah the last one Dallas do says five stars. I can't I can't live without this show. I've been listening to this show for about three years now. And after hearing Rod Autism guest on the now defunct on a now defunct park as he was sowing entertaining and interesting I saw the blackout tips and have been listening ever since as a fifty year old liberal black man. It's so refreshing to hear rod destroy blackmail be so honest and non pandering. LGBT positive and so free talk to masculinity. I'm I'm Don Heinola. I'll follow nothing but INSTAGRAM I. It's not a joke. Nice to have some form of Patriarchy because Astros that Dole really opened the door absolutely fucking that it could be three degrees outside. I don't care she'll be like a man open this door right MHM Beyond faves cancer. CARE YOU CAN'T AKA helping hands down to earth opinions and views plus I like many podcast hosts house how she openly admits when she doesn't know something..

"About the the the political oh system at all it makes me go with the fuck. What the fuck am I gonNA vote for? Nobody's ever good enough like like like a lily makes people lose. Hope like like wouldn't why am I even going to contribute when everybody sounds like the word is GonNa come to in tomorrow so you know that she's real to you know and so the thing ain't nobody is perfect and everybody knows nobody's perfect and everybody says nobody's perfect but everybody tears her body down online but then that's the thing everybody tells me who they not gonNa vote for taming. Fuck you are going to vote for. Who are you going to? And that's the thing even now what I'm seeing in twenty twenty nineteen. It is kind of weird. The actual individual twitter people endorse candidates. Like they're not they're not celebrities but it's funny because for three years ago I watched those same people all laugh at celebrity endorsements for for Hillary and shit like who gives a celebrity things where you must thank you you. Some type of celebrity APPs on impact is is now or else you realize the power in that three years and say I'm GONNA use my platform instead of being snarky and get into rice and start like endorsing people in spreading word for their platforms. I'm seeing people do that and I'm not mocking them for. I'm actually glad saying like that's progress to me. A lot of people thought it was cool to sit out they'll never admit it wa But I do personally believe a lot of people thought Barack Obama was such an excellent president and even those who did nothing but deride him. It's like how people talk about Lebron James like you talk bad about them because you expect them to be excellent and you're expected to always be something you can say that. He was store win the championship. The he missed the shot or he made wrong pass so you just take his excellence for granted because that's what we get used to the new standard and we're sitting on the new standard right. He ain't no Giorno or no. Whatever right cool well they thought that the baton he was doing so well the baton will be handed off? The Hillary Clinton will be coordination Some people magazine. That's what Hillary thought but she had a right to think and so did all the people that were talking shit about her as sort of all the people who were supporting her and so the the Republicans everybody thought she was going to win. Every poll says she was going to win. Everyone thought she was GonNa win. And so once you have that people play contrarian and I think you had this type of response and then in twenty nineteen people are now like Oh. We were not as safe as I thought. And I've watched these as rights of people get eroded just like people warned me about People that said. Hey you can't just be walking around promoting apathy and telling people to sit this one now and that vote right right and then turn around and tell me how much you care about people and care about different causes because they're gonNA lose those people and now even if you thought Barack Obama wasn't doing a good job on certain topics you cannot make an argument. That trump is doing a better job. He's doing worse. And if some tie in some places he's downright evil and in gleefully you know l. like you know separating children from their families at the border You know passing a law against Trans People in the military Obviously China on a gay abortion rights. Repeal like you're talking about a man who takes pride in immigration kicking people out anti Anti Muslim of stuff. Like does the do so you took people took for granted and then like most Americans. They got lazy and they needed a wakeup call and this was their Waco College so anyway. It's funny to see people so now endorsing candidates. They went full circle when eighty two. I refuse to acknowledge the obvious choice should be Clinton too well now. I'm going to endorse. I wonder these twenty motherfuckers. That's right now and it's been interesting to watch but I'm glad during the game as opposed. Sit on the sideline like they did twenty sixteen or even worse even worse. Some of them didn't even sit on the sideline they made. It seem like there was in on the sideline and then they went out and voted. Yes they are there for like the twitter the order twitter pats on the back you go op so apathetic. Black we will not do is a care Bernie bus all these type of things and then when in The she hit the fan. You know it was like well. I went out and voted. So don't be blamed me like not people use my platform more wiser time and I'm actually here four so anyway this blackout test guys is getting into your feedback. We got a lot of stuff to get to today. You know you like like to start first and foremost with the people that gave us some. ooh La okay because those are the ones manny who go to our website they they look on hand side. Says you like to put some on this. podcast like donate people can do one time recurring. You know we like to think of it is giving us a tip. Thanks.

For Ray prosecutor prosecutorial discretion was the cause of injustice. Not The solution to it too. Often he said with those with means all connections gotta break while those who are poor. You can go to our website. The Black Guy who tips webs DOT COM and leave comments there and vote in the polls on each ever so we appreciate. Everybody takes time out to do that. You can leave us. voicemails at seven. Oh four or five I five seven zero one eight six seven four five five seven zero one eight six make. Sure they're two minutes or less you will get cut off and today's expert is from locking up our own which is by a hours. This guy's name but I believe it's eight foreman yet james forming. I always say a James a junior. I believe so. Yeah that that was an exit from that book And what's interesting about that book that I really love and I wish I think more people who talk about mandatory center saying being mass incarceration and race should read this book because we have a lot of missed information and a lot of misconceptions about what actually happened in that age of from around the late the late seventies from like the heroine epidemic make our way through the gang violence of the ninety S. There's a lot of misconception about things how they played out breath and in a way it's really Is really messed up the way that we analyzed politics especially At least what I see online. There's not a serious discussion of because if you understand the holistic approach did not think you would be less it's less about demagoguing one type of person a one person one set of people whatever And it's more about. How did a community a black community? Guests are desperate that we were arguing against white people who were saying. Hey if you do this we passed. These sentences is just going to be racist towards black people and black people were the ones going. No fuck you. You're being racist. Just do what I say. And then when we got what we say we want it J- generation later. So you have the results of that and you have people going mostly white people did this to us and I think if you don't you can't fix a problem unless you're going to be honest. I just about the problem of steady. Oh problem is the reason that I've never taken into the Super Predator argument thing or Hillary Clinton I think uh out of context is really really short sighted and really fucked up what people deal with that Even Joe Biden's crime bill. There's a reason Joe Biden still popular and getting out as the percentage of the black vote in these polls that you can choose to believe or not but I know black. People that don't have chronic though Biden. They don't care about the crime bill and you would think well. How's that possible because they're old enough to remember being like we want this crime bill and white politicians who didn't want to do it a centrally going okay? If that's what the black community wants we're going to do it and even in this case It was a US attorney rough. Who goes on to serve as a White House counsel under president? Bill Clinton that's the person who passed this crime bill right well. Roth is arguing against a black man. Like no mandatory minimums are GonNa Fuck Shit Up. And then essentially this black man wins the discussion because it passes in DC first and then later you know nationally federally so you know. I just think people need a more holistic. Understanding of things and vendetta is less about who can blame and more about how to fix a problem because what the saddest thing that people. We'll have not realized. Is that a lot of these politicians that were blaming for. Mass incarceration are literally people. They really only got in trouble so an involved because they were listening to the black community not the opposite where there wasn't they fucking locked black people up. They were literally saying like okay. So the community our leaders in this community the activists in Y'all want stricter restrict y'all want stricter laws. I want longer sentences own on black. This will affect black people in the concept at the time. I'm not even blaming black people. The idea at the time was we are so ravaged by drugs and violence and gangs with we can get that small group of people out of the community or at least. He's within some someplace where they can. Go be rehabilitated. Or out drugs or whatever it we can do that then the rest of us will flourish because is is these people who are holding us back now. I'm not saying that's a good mentality. But that was the truth and a large part of that was that well. The perimeter justice system in America is not really place rehabilitation. And I play. So you're not rehabilitating these people and then secondly You know once you start turning it into a money thing. The capitalistic system of America takes over is not it now. It's about numbers. How do we keep so many people there? How do we cut the cost? On this and things that rehabilitate people will cost a lot of money. So you're not going to get there so I think people should revisit that and you have to do things on take context doesn't mean anything for media you know when people voodoo things and say things regardless is right or wrong or anything like that. You still need to understand what was happening at that time. Why would they say those things that those at at that particular time like you said what people wanted like you know those things actually matter but in the age of of snippets and clips? Nobody gives a fuck about what was happening at the time. Everybody just goes. Well you said it. Okay yes I did say but I didn't say this just in a bubble you know I setting because the things would happen that because the world changes people change people's philosophies chains to say the end result is what it is but at that time they didn't know Oh that was going to be a result even though people warned them. So that's the thing about. In some cases they were the ones warning us. You had white people saying no right now alone. There's more than one white person in that book that was like telling black people. I know you're a black leader. I respect that but I'm telling you this is bad you start art locking people up for marijuana possession. We know that black people don't have the resources to fight these. These convictions are going to go to jail in a black we will be like your racist is your being fucking rises. Because you're saying that we can't stop doing drugs you're saying you're saying you're knowing that the white people get off on this crime Lord and others and this will force the government to put the white people in jail and she's like no it does it. You know why supremacy will find a way yes and my thing is when I was in the people argue in now is diverse. Because that's the thing why people was and that's the thing a lot of times a group won't something and somebody who is arguing against them for the for the better interest and they'll say no. This is what we want and his vice versa. Now people arguing the other way around and people and white people. I don't give a fuck and that's what pe- that's believable. Black people say I don't you literally without knowing it's the consciously used Arezzo was I didn't I don't care about the end results don't because people came with stats statistics and was like. Hey y'all this is not what you really want. It was also a lot of theory work at the time. And this is what a lot of policy stuff is that people you know is why you know. Sometimes I can be a little too sarcastic people where they might get a little bristle. Awesome my jokes but his wife makes fun of certain topics. Because it's why is such theory work that I my pragmatic mind is like. That's not how it was gonna ago even in like even if you know it's like when people when people talk about what we're gonNA switch over the country to socialism or light but it's not you know it's not going to happen and if it did happen you know why people still going to be right this so it ain't gonNA trickle all the way down no matter how you try to put it right. The big enemy in the room is still a lot of this prejudice. That exist assist whether you call it. One thing you call it another you know fairness is GonNa be left up to these individual people. I know people don't like when when I compare big systems to small people but you know macro versus micro but honestly micro people fucking greedy. Yes they and so then you you know all of us want to have our knees met. We WanNA live in abundance. We all want our you know no worries about money and income and shit and then at the same time we want the a government or the powers that be or billionaires or whoever to you know distribute everything evenly amongst everybody. And I'm like that's not going to happen and you know Oh to a certain extent. We're all indoctrinated into shape. Because I noticed times I know I put in more work on this. I deserve more. And that's a small thing but everything else is built on a bigger scale. Right builds out The last thing I'll say to Is that our current Eric. Climate of find the thing. This person did years ago heap. All the blame and anger on them is like twitter thing like we do it with like fitting arrows. Who said something stupid on and we found they're owed you know geoscience page or the right okay? There's there's this this way of making everything this individual decision and that was the bad. You're the racist asked the now that'll fix the problem. We call out every single individual who's ever been raises and they racism will stop because we're mocking these races in this Mike but it hasn't worked and it is not Gore. Eight is not like systems versus people is Kinda you know. It's Kinda hard to fix exit from an individual level. Okay grade coal. We do that with politicians a lot. We like to individualize their decisions as if they were made in a vacuum you as if there weren't constituents they were trying to please as if there wasn't communities who had input into these people's policies as if people didn't vote for them for these policies policies and we watch it happen with different politicians especially on the left. We watch it happen and is so destructive so counterproductive because it's teaching people. There's a historical Ni- contextualized version of history. That everybody's Emperor POW Patina Star Wars. And they're just fucking you know more. Ha Ha ha evil is not what's happening and if we don't we don't examine why constituencies wanted the things that have have happened and also why things did not turn out to be something they should have won it or had negative impact. I feel like just going to keep repeating these mistakes and I think it also makes people extremely gullible you know so when you see somebody like pull up..

"Six really Matt Michael Vick I may Mike Vick it's it's been a long time but I can honestly tell you I am not surprised but what has been transpiring because I told you all a long time ago in August of twenty sixteen before the college there before the NFL football season automated tool bowl predictions are on record ask anybody here at the station I said that number one that right would win the league MVP NFL MVP and leave the falcons to the Super Bowl did it happen it absolutely did also in August I predicted untold job that a cornerback name Lamar Jackson in Louisville would win the Heisman Trophy a YA laughed aloud to both of them yeah land the land they laugh but it came to pass right so we won the Heisman as a sophomore and despite putting up even better numbers his junior year he still didn't win the Heisman that year but here's my point when it came time to drive time in twenty eighteen what why wasn't your first round draft all wait a minute yes he was a first round draft pick he went thirty second what quarterbacks one ahead of all Baker Mayfield one Sam Charlie three Josh Allen it's seven Josh Rosen a ten M. Lamar Jackson was the last pick in the first round Hey you know the only reason why he was the last pick in the first round because only one general manager in the National Football League fought that Lamar Jackson was worth being chosen as a first round draft pick right what do you know who the general manager was our Z. Newsome that's the guy responsible for Lamar Jackson being chosen in the first round it is in essence being given the keys to the Baltimore Ravens and I'm excited for the young man but I want to find out the post of the city I want to find out the post of use of you watch the game or listen to it this parted ways there be right now because this is good for my soul to talk about this thought of ticket right off and go to a chance in Atlanta Hey chance you want sports radio ninety to ninety K. welcome to the program and going with some and how are you Hey man I'll hike real I'm hyped up I'm not the right number he's absolutely ridiculous now I'm gonna call the kid the new year the most ridiculous thing I've heard tonight was heating younger than job are younger than you yes yeah and absolutely insane I'm sure he is it is must see TV I mean I don't really need to watch playoffs Arnold too much but it it's crazy that union job where I was twenty years stocks real quick what is it a land that had been a little bit more progressive and and one offers where they'd be tailored this to Lamar Jackson instead we we did a Mike Vick offers growers three step drop and don't want you to write don't utilize your skill set now all the sudden you see what can happen if you just use the quarterbacks the best player builds listen man buy a listen all I could think about chance someone answer questions in just a second do you think whereas last year about this time people talk about how Jaylen hurt could not make it in the National Football League do you think that narrative has been changed by Lamar Jackson's performance I I don't know because Jay Leno's around the four to we we we we will see you do realize he's got phenomenal rushing yards this season for Oklahoma now and I'll pull those up for you so it's not yes fifteen hundred back again but what what I'm saying is he can run the football look man and I appreciate the call these brothers look at the quarterback position in the National Football League and we got Stephen coming up and get the steam just a second play the quarterback position in the National Football League college that point you do realize you are the face of the program at that moment you step behind center would you put your your hands underneath the centers but in a regular season game at that point you are the face of their franchise and the it means something it's significant and all I guess what I'm saying is don't underestimate what a Jaylen herds can do don't underestimate what a young man of the king guy that well played quarterback if used in the side of the red shirt are there are guys in either the complete the position it is just about getting the opportunity and fortunately Ozzie Newsome had the fortitude and the guts and the good spot the pick this African American quarterback to lead their franchise okay Joe Flacco was drafted by the way the same year as our very own that Ryan it was out I was on the wall Flacco since moved on to Denver and but but look what.

"Yeah you know what one of the things that we talk about you know the open offices is definitely a trend that's huge thing that what the tribune de for sure but what the way that those things work is if is only if you give them options for other places to work so small touchdown spaces phone booths maybe big meeting rooms you know cafes things like that outdoor terraces people just like options for the where they work studio so you know we've grown quite a bit since since we've been here but i mean right from the beginning we made sure that we had a lot of fun and we've had some great halloween parties in the tower the last one that we had last october was recalled it deco gothic or something like the gothic tobacco and it was it was a ton of fun because this building's gothic gothic in the building that we moved to is is is our deco and so we had all sorts of really fun costumes and there's there's a couple that showed up as flying buttresses which is pretty pretty to see it i guess kind of hard to do on radio you hit on something that we talk about on this show you were baseball fan for baseball fans we talked and i've had i've had bill vex son on the show mike vick a lot and he wrote a book called fun as good and he's he goes speaks about fun in the workplace and you know he's not talking about architecture you just talking about spirit and and how do you convey fun in architecture in xining fund is really really important you know a lot of people unhappy these days well well you know when we found in our business we said we wanted to do great work we.

"You can't pretend like nothing has changed from eightythree tonight i'm not arguing black quarterback i'm arguing a skill set that is unique that's what i'm arguing we've seen it from randolph county have not seen i know randall cunningham when we and i didn't go to that the first person to call me and i said he went to know what his fate was i remember tom people don't realize randall cunningham was the best punter in american okay and i remember having that conversation with i said look you're not gonna have the same fate as me because nobody can deny you you punt the ball sixty two yards on average so they're going to take you for that alone lamar jackson bring something that we haven't seen since mike vick and i think he's a better passer coming out of it that's it i think he's a better football player than people want to give him credit for dave knocked down to just thirty two listen let's credited he needed because the gaza this for the guys in my opinion three of those four that i believe aren't as good as he is i think baker mayfield fell right well he was supposed to when i look at lamar jackson his unique skill set all it takes for someone to be able to to want to take that skill set and develop it see that's the problem with these went up and got him i understand that but he's thirty two is that an insult where did you go listen i would you have taken i have a problem i didn't have a problem going in the eighth round would you take and thirty two i would've taken it fifteen gotta take him yes after thirty two yes.
