"Say somewhat ready just in case perfect perfect storm hits but Yeah now there's There's nothing nothing to it but it was It was it was fun to see. I guess that's in terms of the rumors of him possibly being interested in the saint. So who knows if that ever does happen the saints interested in. I don't know but you've got to be thinking. They're kicking the tires on a bunch of names. No they need a quarterback taste. Help play all those weeks last year. Dang w do need someone. I would think simians appro. I don't know. I mean philip rivers. Just look like he was done at the end. What about drew brees another one. Yeah but they asked. They asked the drew on sunday night. Whether or not he would be interested and he was kind of laughing about it. Here makes a ton of then. I'll be notre dame on saturday. He said mike toronto with mike was very happy about that because he loves drew but that would be the guy he would be but he's not coming back and he looked onto the ball downfield anymore but he can get the guys out of the hat on get them in the right spot and throw it to alvin kamara and let him go. Make some place. Yeah guess nba tonight. Nixon indiana the nets home for the hawks will have that for you on the fan. Sixers guard ben. Simmons reportedly unwilling to meet with team doctors to discuss his mental readiness. So that seems like that's going nowhere fast no matter what what now. So he's meeting. He's visiting doctors for his back to rehab. I guess a back injury or sore back. When did that don't know but he's so. He is around the facility or at least with team doctors for that but he will not talk to team doctors about his mental. Yeah now as got. Do something lockdown They had this is ridiculous. Well one hundred but they paid them a hundred and how much a lot i mean. One hundred eighty million something like that was a lot of money but he said that he wasn't mentally ready so they said okay fine. We're going to have you talked to our therapists here. Our psychiatrists in the building and he said he's music to do that. Yeah that's not helping. Anybody could beat the rangers. And i'm sorry this way. He can get his money. Yup and still you know basically say he's got mental issues because now we're all more sensitive to these things but i think he's using. This wouldn't make it easier to get your money by actually meeting with the doctors. Yeah but i just feel like he's using this the bad thing about this. He's using situation to his benefit. And it's really it's bogus. I don't care what everybody says. Bogus thousands readiness. Here's a way you could get your money to play. You know just play. No one else wants you. They're not going to trade him. he's a baby he got. He got beat in the playoffs. Last year is coach was asked a direct question about him. The coach answered it. Honestly that philadelphia fans came down on his ass and he can take and he doesn't want to deal with it and i'm sorry when you sign these contracts that's part of it and you know you get booed if you don't perform i.

"Thanks for joining us today. Caroline and i have a great guest today. We got cory fox with echo kobe. Welcome to the house brother. Thank sir appreciate. Hey hey hey yeah. This is awesome. I'm familiar with your product. My last house. I took one other product. That i won't mention it out and put yours in because it was working well and your guises rocked it. It was awesome. We not not surprising. It's If i had more fingers and toes there are so many stories of folks that i have met over the years who have any go be It's really really interesting. And that spans the gamut from folks who work at utilities to homeowners to a lot of people who work in the trade so it's a really good product. What's let's reset the stage here for everybody out there. That goes watson e kobe because we all know what it is. But there's so many people out there that have that nineteen seventy two thermostat and they keep swiping it left and right to change the temperature and that's all it does and they have no idea what the rest of the world is like. Yeah no thanks for that tia. So e koby is a smart home company. They're headquartered out of toronto canada and the flagship product that will probably spend the majority of the time talking about today that most people are are familiar with with our brand is smart thermostat so backing We launched a under our spiritual leader. Stuart lombardo alar launch the first smart thermostat The company has scaled and grown significantly From them so that's what we are known for There's a lot of things that we do with the smart thermostat and then some of the products that we've come to market with over the years and for people who don't know what a smart thermostat is so a lot of people just have a traditional. Maybe they have honeywell right and it just tells them their traditional temperature and maybe relative humidity tell them how a smart thermostat can help them. What can this do for a homeowner. And why would they want one. Yes so really. Simply automates savings. So we're all busy with our lives. Even while a lot of us are fortunate enough to work from home during this really odd interesting time. it's technology that helps heating and cooling system in so if we peel back for a second The reason why. I joined echo b. n. y. A lot of the colleagues that i have joy nico bs because And this may sound a little bit Corny but we all want to do something good for the earth and it's a really fun band of characteristic and when stewart was looking to build a product he's a product engineer He spent some time thinking about how he could best help himself. The planet and find something good to do with this time and so as the story goes stewart was spending a holiday away from the house came back. He had done a setback on his old honeywell. I think is what it was Came back in the kids. Were all really upset angry because the thermostat had said that way to colt and so he said to his wife. There's gotta be a better way. There's got to be a better way that like the thermostat should know that we're pulling into the driveway and start to preview the house and so that is what he built. And that's really at the end of the day. What any sort of smart thermostat does is it. Leverages anything from weather. Data occupancy data comfort settings. I'm kind of meshes it all together and end automates. The savings of what is in most houses the number one usage of either electrical or some sort of fuel in the house. You start to peel back from that. The reason why. I joined in again. A lot of folks joined his that one. Little simple piece of technology At scale has profound impact on what we're sort of facing as a global economy in the need to reduce carbon. And so one of the most simple things that can happen is by just lowering your heating and cooling usage. And at times when you don't necessarily need it and that's what technology does and that's what smart thermostats do. That was a really long winded answer. I'm not sure if that's awesome. Here's the one thing i enjoyed about having it in my house and i don't have it in mind because i've got a new carrier system that has all the crazy computer stuff and with all those wild features that has its own kind of branded thermostat but long story short what. I enjoyed it my last house. Because i had a very simple heating cooling system. It was a it was a gas fired heater with a with air conditioner zone. And i had a upstairs in the downstairs. And i could put a sensor upstairs and i could tell what humidity and everything else was going on in the house and it gave me information. Yeah i was gonna say from an indoor air quality from an indoor air quality perspective right so as an indoor air quality consultant the biggest thing. I want people to look at is humidity level. because it's going to prevent dust mites. It's going to prevent mold so we're looking at not only energy savings right but hugely creating a healthy home environment by just putting a thermostat in that tells you relative humidity so to me. This is an easy thing to do. It makes sense from a money standpoint and then also from a health standpoint you're going to keep that relative humidity between thirty and fifty percent in home reducing bugs dust mites mold. So it's it's a win win on all counts. And i think they're fabulous and you may not even be aware of this speaking just for our brand. Some democrats have the ability to show. I want to be as friendly as possible to the world of oem's that are out there. Some things that have the ability to show relative humidity. But i'm not aware of any other brand that. Today is taking that data in really using it to better inform how that heating and cooling system operates so from what you just said we know. Comfort is impacted in there. We want the thirty to fifty percent for a lot of healthy reasons. But then maybe someday we wanted a little bit higher or a little bit lower depending on what the ambien is. What the wind speed Address and so actually maybe eighteen months ago. We echo be released. A firmware update called eagle plus echo plus is a lot of things. I'll just be really clear on that. It's a lot of things in. I'm not going to try to unpack all of them but one of the things or features that's in there is something that we used to call. Feels like we've had to move away from from from that Branding is still in the middle of rebranding what that is semantically called but it it optimizes around the comfort settings That it has learned from the users in that house and estimates the thermal profile of what needs to happen based on the humidity so it creates its own little humidity index. Humidex is actually what mike toronto colleagues call it in optimize that which is pretty significant when we start talking about.

"Buy a ticket just it just came. I saw him playing person. I'd he has. He's a heavy runner. And i it's for today's. Nba can't be a heavy runner. What does that mean legitimately never heard that term before. What is heavy runner. You can just tell when they run. It's painful on the list to be calling some of this olympic track and field unheard fast. Janas can get up and down the court and four links. Yeah but you're you're. You're talking about an anomaly. Which is this is most seven footers. I guess are trying to stop. You're trying to beat to beat. This is an anomaly though. There's not many honest is in the the guys the defending champion the two time. Mvp he's the guy you're trying to stop and embiid to those are the guys who are trying to stop towns. Can't stop those guys. No with all due respect. Now i feel you but then you to go out and get like a defensive specialist and there aren't too many two way big guys out there. They're guy like the knicks sign nerlens. Noel would be that type. Who could play some rim defense and a top five defender. Maybe at the position in the league but he signed for the knicks long-term. So yeah you're celtics have been quiet i really. I really like the the the additions miami made like he said because perreault gets it that grownups playing the nba finals when the brown and those guys linked up in surround their team with a bunch of projects in a bunch of developmental guys running with aging vets and grown-ups and that's what deep springtime summertime basketball is all about. Um so. I like the addition of kyle lowry. Down there jimmy. Pj tucker going up against durant. Now he's gonna have to go up against. Chris middleton or jrue holiday. I mean it's great pickup for my such a heat pickup. Pj tucker your total and mark stein is saying now that Damore rosen emerging as a candidate for the bulls in a sign and trade. So chicago's really adding a lot of pieces. I kinda wanted in new york. I wanted mar the garden to marta. Rose in is bucket. He is a phenomenal player. I call them the nomar garciaparra of the nba. Because the way was part of those red sox teams that we're not gonna door wasn't part of the. Oh four world series. Let's demar and it's twenty nine thousand nine toronto raptors until kyle. Lowry won that championship. Tomorrow was the greatest raptor ever. I think right up there with vince. Carter and david saw amar even greater and and his going to chicago think makes them for real for real for real for real. I think that really puts them in the mix too to kind of be one of the east powerhouses chicago is. They made a lot of moves. I love lonzo ball. I think he's a phenomenal player. He's a guy that can do everything. He really changed his shot a very good three point shooter now. Almost forty percent and you add him to the mix it there and with a bona fide. Superstar zach levine. And now they get to mark rosen and rusakevich and also now becomes third or fourth guy sudden if they get to. Marta rose it. Are they could win the eastern conference. They would have to have a lot of things go their way. I mean everybody. Does you know milwaukee to go up against depleted brooklyn team at the history of basketball and being available. That's something that gets forgotten in all this talk this time of year with these teams about who's going to surround lebron in a d say healthy being healthy being available playing every night is something we like. Don't celebrate enough. We celebrate guys handles. We show highlights their deep three point shots. The fact of the guys available. I could come in and do the job. That is a huge thing in the game of life. Well actually you. What you've just done is you've described me in my tenure here on the rich eisen show. Because i'm the cal ripken junior. I am the ghost face killer. I'm the tony stark. I'm the ironman of this show. I've never missed a show. Since i've been here ben so i my ability could put up the best means you could have the funniest tweets. You could tag all the right accounts on instagram. if you're not available to do the posting guess what no social media team here so holler at your boy now. Tj jefferson who created a very interesting big three to compare to himself. Cal ripken coward junior ghost face those face killer and the character of tony stark iron man. I said hold on a second. Why is face in there again. what am i missing. 'cause that's his. That's his wound nickname so faces the bridge to get to the ironman character in the marvel. See what is what is goes faced after do about a consecutive being played streak. They're all ironman also for all of his nickname is ironman along time. People didn't know. tj jefferson. He was in the background. He was in the shadows like ghost face on the first album when he had no face and then he got out there and people started to know him and now he sits on that beautiful Set we get a face go space. Yeah after the first hour the first album face days. I albums named iron man. This is wounded now. Michael jordan had marcus johnson's poster up on his wall and the north carolina dorm. Right right for me. That was the ironman poster. Okay that was my childhood bedroom. Had the ghost face killer shared a room with my sister growing up. Who's super into hansen so posters on the wall that we share it goes face iron man and we had bob. It's kind of interesting room. My childhood my formative years. That'd be a great like mashups song. If you just kinda like through them together all my bra. I i used to be a dj growing up. And i can't believe. I never thought of the idea of blending. My sister's i'm talking about right taking a an old in sync album cut and blend it with a mic. Geronimo record huge. The only bar mitzvah higher dj benson. I'm here never too late before the show. I told brockman. I said google. Kyle quinn bar mitzvah. Certain types of things. We talk about quin played for the new york. Knicks realized that get hired to show up at bar mitzvahs sweet time so like twenty or thirty by misses his time in new york. I appreciate the fact that this is the first time mic geronimo's ever been mentioned on this show in the evening. I remember meeting. Mike toronto head thinking i'd made it thinking success now. I've met mike. Toronto boom bap nation. On your tv. I don't.

"Down with a right knee injury in the first quarter in their playoff game against the wizards last night the sixers were head by eight with embiid and they lost by eight without him. Doc rivers said postgame that embiid would have an mri. Today will on your thoughts on the potential impact of beads injury. Tony you know. So far injuries are defining the nba playoffs. And this ought to be. I don't know a lesser for anybody. Who's paying attention on both labor and management. The the playoffs being ruined slowly. But perhaps surely the biggest stars in the game are hurt in the postseason and so this is just i. I hate seeing this. An embiid's case philadelphia. The sixers were really starting to play not well but great with embiid at the center of it. I mean he was playing as well as yoke into we think is going to be the. Mvp embiid is back in that space. But tony with him diminished. Or without him. It's hard for me to see. I'm not gonna say impossible hard for me to see the seventy sixers being able to get past the second round it. If you struggle with the wizards and you go six. Seven games in that round. It hurts the team going forward. It's an awful thing. This is playing so well but the theme of these playoffs so far have been injuries to stars. Yeah and bead misses a lot of time. He's on the ground a lot. Him and anthony davis they missed a lot of games. Here are the numbers. Women beat is playing with the sixers. They're thirty nine and twelve. That's great when he's out there. Ten and eleven. That's not great that means he's missed. Twenty one of seventy two games and that's a lot. I'm with green and this particular quote we're gonna need him to be the last team standing. That doesn't mean we can't win the next game without him. And that's totally true. The wizards aren't going to be the sixers four in a row. If embiid is on the moon they're not gonna do it. But as you say the bucks or the nets the sixers are not gonna be on the moon right if he's on. No no tony. Emperor tons is out to the wizards little going. You know they played really well last night. Even know rusted shoot well building schule bills to greatest stretch so as russ just the rebound volume. Russell gets at six threes insane but they need brittan. So i mean they do i mean he is a primary shooter on that team and floorspace or knows finally after all these months now how to play off westbrook. It's just you know you look at these games on who's going to be standing next. Who's standing in the next game. We moved to the west vigil. He wasn't up. The story. isn't the wizards this not yes. Seventy sixers and and there's another story to the other story. Is ben simmons at the line where he's five of twenty which stinks that's not nba quality on any level. And he's got to get better or he'll never be the player we think he is going to be and plus album at the end of the game all the time because you can't take him out he's too valuable he's too good like the fatter shadow setup guard except shack could run away from the play late in the game. Ben simmons ought to have the ball he get run with anything so he wants to run with your line. He seems allergic to it right now. Over in the west the jazz beat the grizzlies to take a three one series. Lead donovan mitchell. And he had been hurt for some games had thirty two lead utah to the seven point win. Of course the jazz also held a three one series lead over the nuggets in the first round last season before folding and after the game mitchell said quote. We've been here before it definitely is fuel. Close quote tony. Should the jazz be haunted by blowing that various same lead last season. I mean just clarify one thing donovan. Mitchell did miss. Some games missed one game and he want wanna miss that game and nobody understands why he missed that game. Now let me give you the distinction between laos sonic games at the end of the regular season. Like twenty of them. Thanks you're talking about the playoffs. We're just talking about the playoffs. That the season no longer matters this is the season last year. Utah was a six seed and they lost to a three denver. They were the underdog. They're not even supposed to win that. This year utah is a one-seat utah had the best record in all of the nba. Utah one i believe. Fifty two games. Yeah fifty two games. They're playing eight seed that had to sneak in as a nine seed because they had to win to play in games so that means last year they wouldn't even be allowed in this and they won thirty eight games memphis and i told you before you can write all poetry to john moran. You want. he's not supposed to win this series. In fact i think he was eight for twenty one last night. Utah may be in jeopardy down the line but they're not in jeopardy in this one. I don't think the talk funny how you just decide. You know who you're going to bless and you think that. Oh maybe i'm gonna forget over the years. The james didn't even make the playoffs first couple of seasons and you're blessed him and said he was rookie of the year. Mvp and and god love ninety. he did. He didn't get his team to the playoffs. So you just you just do you try to move the goal post. You can do that on pablo you do it on me now okay. Memphis will be a worthy opponent. But they're not yet right now. They're team in training with the team in formation and utah. These are close games though. Tony these are not double digit. Blow out like you might expect the number one seed to have what's number. One seed usually has 'cause memphis common. They're not going to get across the finish line right now. Tony but would it. Surprise me if memphis one one more game maybe but utah should is not last. Utah loses to be fast. It's fast easy you tell me. I'm moving goalposts. Yeah your usual. You sat there all year long. You sat there and said when are you going to recognize utah. What are you gonna get off by five and gives credit to utah. Well i'm doing it here and you telling me somehow i've changed the rules. Okay there is no way with what you where you were on utah. How much you. There's no way you think they're going to lose the series no way zero so we said i don't going to win now. We turned out a hockey game. Seven you told me you would definitely watch last night. We'll s montreal was down three games to one in this series. They went to toronto last night. They won game seven three two one. This was the first time toronto and montreal off the playoffs in forty one years. Which seems incredible. As i say it because they are the two most important franchises in the nhl bought. Are you giving credit to the canadians or you. Blame the maple leafs. We'll tell them. I think any time you you win a game seven you look at the victor you say they won is they want to pressurise highly pressurized situation but tony v.'s post. I'm listening to bury melrose and berry just crushed toronto. He said the whole thing was basically an embarrassment from top to bottom from the executives. The players on the ice said they weren't tough enough. It was like whoa. I listened to melrose. I needed to play a back. He just crushed the maple leafs and i. i'm i'm i'm likely listen to bury melrose. Who has played in these things and coached in them. I'm sure he's co some game seven. I just couldn't believe how much he smashed them. How hard he did so. I'm gonna credit montreal. Still it was still a game seven. They have pressure on them. Tony you would think that they were a heavy underdog. Given how far ahead. Toronto finished of montreal in the regular season there was a soft girl goal early and again according to bury toronto soft the rest of the game so got at least pop them a little bit having heard what's his analysis of this. So i like barry melrose. I believe he lives in glens falls where my original college roommate. Dave carpenter lives. So i liked. Barry melrose let me. Just say this. And i'm going to give you numbers here not analytics. Just straight numbers. Montreal was the worst team in the playoffs in the entire league. Montreal had fifty nine points. Toronto had seventy seven toronto. One that same division. Toronto was said to be a stanley cup. Contender during the regular season mike. Toronto was seven two and one against montreal. If you add the three one at the beginning of series they were ten three and one. Okay so how did they lose toronto. Three games and the answers they show. Yeah it's that simple. There's no other explanation. They choked in. Forget about the fact. They haven't won a cup and forty seven years. They're terrible the playoffs. The last time they wanna series i think was two thousand and four. I wrote that down. My toronto has lost eight straight series clinching games. They've lost four straight win or go home games..

"You already know how to mail in your vote. Thank you very much. But how long might it take for that vote actually arrive and be counted way decided to test it, sending 100 Mark Ballas simulating 100 voters. From locations all across Philadelphia to a P O box we set up to represent a local election office. Couple days later, we mailed 100 mohr using the same sized envelopes in the same class of male Israel ballots here to approximate the way we even folded mark votes into everyone. In the following week. We checked our P O box for the results when we went to collect everything. No. Most of our votes seemed to be lost way had asked for a manager and explain ourselves before someone finally found our votes. One way soon discovered another problem. Miss sorted mail, two pieces of it. We got a birthday card from Mike Toronto. Have a sweet V day get it is to be on top. When the birthday greetings ended 12 13. We found a bigger issue. 21% of our votes hadn't materialized. After four days on the batch, we'd mailed a week fire. Some of those were missing, too. So far, 100 ballots 97 arrived, Which sounds pretty good.
