"Off today. Mike Spaulding is here instead. Today is National Garden of Meditation Day. You guys meditate? Yes. How often pretty much at least once a day. For how long? Um, anywhere ranges anywhere from like 10 to 20 minutes. Some like that. I don't really do it for too long right before I go to bed makes it easier to fall asleep. I feel like I'd like to meditate. I think there would be benefiting that, but I never have. I can't do it. I don't know how to do it. I guess. Sometimes I stand in the shower for 20 minutes and just stare blankly at the shower door. Does that count? Thank you. That's great, staring you that 100% I am Had sour guy for those keeping score at home and stare at the water. I usually stay at the door and hits my left shoulder. That's way more information that people need to know, but that's how I met. It described the shower now is it glass? One is they've been closed. Okay, slider, and I like it really hot. I mean, really had I come out. It looks like I sunburn when I get out of the shower cleaner, right? Yeah, It's like really hot to the point where it actually hurts my back a little bit before I get up. So what about yoga? So I'll do yoga maybe twice a week. Okay? That zoo not similar to meditation states. Kind of, Yeah. It's also National Montana Day. Ever been to Montana. I've done yoga in Montana. Amazing. Wait. Debbie of you meditated in Montana have not I've not been to for, uh, Let's see Closest. I've been is in Colorado. It's pretty much Yeah, on then I save the best for last. It's national chocolate custard today. Okay, there's the meditation right there. How do we get some chocolate custard over here? I don't think we're too far away from a place that serves you right? Stone's throw. If you will, man, I would kill for some chocolate custard right about anything, hinting. Yep, Exactly. If you're out there, the receptionist is open until physical. "His 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton. The big story in Wisconsin. They say to, among other takeaways in that ABC News, Washington, Mr B was The lead that Biden has with women over Trump like 30%. It's 24 in Michigan, but with the men I believe he has a bigger lead. Trump does in Michigan in Wisconsin. It's about even between men between Biden and Trump. Then there are the was council Elections commission folks who say that only a tiny fraction of the absentee ballots in next week's election that have been returned so far by state voters have been rejected or still like information. Needed to count them. As of Tuesday, the State Journal says clerks reported problems with just over 1500 absentee ballots That's out of 1.45 million submitted so far, just under 1000 of them returned to voters so they could be corrected the remaining that were rejected for a variety of reasons that don't necessarily mean the voters who submitted them didn't get to vote. The numbers do not include ballots that had mistakes that were corrected or have already been returned. Clerksoffices. So get out of 1.51 point 45 million submitted so far. But 1500 had issues. Voters who feel provide required information on their ballot. Return envelopes known as certification. Get until election Day night to provide it and get their votes kind of. That's the big thing that throws people off, I think is that whole witness thing feeling right and blow on the back, but I don't know about your village clerk with mine highlighted in pink Couldn't miss it. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Mine was highlighted, too. And I had an absentee in, you know. Absentee ballot, and Mike Spaulding witnessed two for me. But witness has has to provide their information as well and including address and all that stuff to make it pretty foolproof. But you gotta know if it's your first time especially and then there are those folks do just like that feeling. And this is me. I'm going on voting day. It's just It's so cool and feel so American and so democratic and whistling The Star Spangled Banner as you walk in. I mean, there's just a cz the feeling and you don't get that when you drop off absentee ballot, perhaps, but the point is to get it in, and I think that's the thing that everybody is stressing vote first of all and get it in and that's on you to make sure it happens and they're saying Don't put it in the mail right again Tuesday. It's It's just six days away. So if, uh if you're gonna drop it in the mail, take it to a drop box or take it to your company. And and drop it off in person. 7 56 of W. T. "In Wisconsin Stevens Mike Spaulding filling in for Eric bill said Jordan bruising is always on this Wednesday edition so give me a warm day out there today and I and I guess you know as always as we all try to figure out what the reality is in the stay at home safer at home the world we live in now it's we can see what's happening other places in the world Mike and and for some of those countries the stories aren't that good yes specifically in Spain we get the latest from maybe sign Matt McGarry at the foreign desk the death toll from covert nineteen in Spain is now greater than China's but still only second to the toll in Italy new numbers from Madrid show a sharp increase of a seven hundred thirty eight fatalities since yesterday bringing the number of people killed in Spain by the disease two three thousand four hundred thirty four so yes I never continue Steve as you mentioned to increase really bad still in Italy Italy right now is reporting more than sixty eight hundred deaths that about sixty nine thousand cases the U. S. second only it'll be in the number of overall cases we have about fifty five thousand here across the states in China though again that number as far as total cases the highest eighty one thousand two hundred and eighteen we mentioned it quickly yesterday but it seems like there is some more good news at least out of the water area they have lifted some of the restrictions that have been in place it in that area since early February so it looks like we may have a bit of kind of at least an idea of how long this might last in that kind of lines up with what the president says he wants to see and that is having the U. S. back open by Easter look at it will only do it if it's good and maybe we do sections of the country we do large sections of the country they could be to the president's advisers though most notably Dr Anthony Fauci say that Easter deadline will need to be flexible just for reference Easter will be on April the twelfth yeah and I I watch them I watch as I do most every day of the presidents comments vice president as medical professionals that he has a good to see Anthony Fauci get back on the stage which I think is reassuring for a lot of us who really appreciate his wisdom as well as doctor Deborah Berks but I think a lot of us are sitting here hearing the president say yeah I love to see this the economy and and folks back out by Easter but then we see the reality is that the lot of the the faith groups putting right here Milwaukee archbishop bishop list thank you saying you know not going to happen here there's a there's a request by the president there's a wide by the president there's desire I think to kind of see things improving but until we see numbers cooperating with that argument I don't know that that's going to change much and for all of us who don't like being trapped in their homes for the most part and and don't like being forced to work from home which is a new reality for a lot of people this is something gonna have to deal with but to try to force the situation or to make it seem better than it is we don't know yet in this country with exploding cases in New York City and now Louisiana we have the the early hot spot and in Washington state we don't know where this is going to go yet and all of this all this closures and all the things the measures put in place to kind of restrict us are all trying to keep the numbers down here we see what happens in other countries we don't want that to happen here until we get a handle on on this exposure and the risk and the serving the community spread angle this thing we have to hunker down that's kind of where we're at right now yeah we have some good news out of Washington DC will release some potentially good news out of DC this morning partisan politics being put aside the Senate and house say they have come to an agreement on a route will roughly be a two trillion dollar coronavirus economic stimulus plan ABC's Terry Moran has more on the dealer rescue bill providing over eight hundred billion dollars in support for businesses big and small boosting unemployment benefits and sending one time payments of twelve hundred dollars directly to most American taxpayers the legislation could now be passed and enacted within days welcome news to laid off workers who won't get a paycheck this week so again that was after fifteen hours of debates in the in in the capital so they have been given a bunch of grief for not being able to find a way to to get a deal done it seems like one could be here on the president's desk before the day is over yeah of course the devil's gonna be the details here what does this look like what's in its there's been a lot of speculation on both sides that you know maybe Democrats made Republicans try to sneak stuff and I I hope at the end of the day and we still have to have the the bill signed or at bill voted on its and then signed by the president that we get a bill that helps people as quickly as possible in a little bit later in the show will details of the numbers I'm actually curious what people think about the the check to be mailed out to people across this country adults only to get some cash about fifteen hundred Bucks twelve hundred Bucks another number I signed again final details still to be worked out and then you know twenty four hundred for couples is that enough well that will that help stimulate the economy enough that once we get back out of our houses things seem to be moving well will they spend that money and I've had a lot of conversation a lot of people on social media email and and thanks all the folks who take the time to email me you can always do that Steve that's could yet the V. "Through my all American window and door and not that long ago was causes many bowl on the south side what a fun quirky place here it is Mike Spaulding reports it's a game as old as time okay maybe not that old but still pretty old yes bowling alleys always been in there for what I know at least early forties we're going on for years next year so we purchased place in seventy eight Justin causes the third generation proprietor of causes many people on Milwaukee southside the building located on the corner of Beecher St and seventh looks like your classic neighborhood corner bar built within the unassuming wooden frame of an old house once you get inside however it's anything but standard many ball is like a version of the candle stick ball and then ducked and ball and so it's played like regular ball and but then you have your doctor can look you know small balls you can call mom of three to five pounds and then you have a nine inch tall pans and the lanes are only sixteen feet once inside you'll find for such a lame nearly unchanged from when they were installed nearly eight decades ago this is still the original place I mean all those old tales and everything is still hears in all of everything to share about this place is still in the woodwork that means no machines not even for setting pains well I got enough front guard for protection but is still dangerous job fans fly but all around it's a great job for may sit back there all day they'll come out that back after a while you know grab a soda or something chance zero the hop back there after clean up the tables and stuff for the next party and you know it's pretty quick and simple entering its eighth decade in operation causes still dropped quite the crowd that's what keeps me alive really otherwise I just be kind of that standard corner bar you know which are most are just falling out so that the bowling really keeps me alive and despite its status as a southside stable the crowd tends to be younger it's been three years after me why did you start doing it's an asphalt actually I.

A. that I also use and some other jobs and you you have a parent who is acting up and it starts right at the beginning of the game when you do your pre game with the two cultures and you tell them sportsmanship especially if the high school games sportsmanship is like good sportsmanship is expected it's a it's an exit it's an extension of the classroom and if you have any issues you are to politely ask for time out and come talk to the empire and we'll deal with it if there's a problem with a parent then the that manager has to deal with that parent at a high school game because the umpires by federation rules they don't deal with the parents nor should they yeah right maybe after the game to say if you want you want to be nice to a pair could say Hey nice job on you correct in in there been times where I've had to call time in the middle of an inning and call the coach out and say look you do that dad down the third baseline who is ninety some plus feet away sitting on a chair behind a fence who feels he has a better view of the strike zone than me you need to go talk to their parents and have him behave or we won't have a game so do the managers get it's almost part for the most part they do because you know the varsity you got three levels of high school ball and each one's a little bit more competitive in varsity obviously is is a real competitive one and a good umpire will talk to them in the head coaching go you got it will deal with it or they'll have game management somebody who's representing the school to school deal with it now tournaments you know select baseball a lot different you have you know sometimes it's like the W. W. E. out there with the way these these parents act and tournament rules sometimes will say tires have the authority to be jacked a spectator who done that yes I I one time and you know all these years one one time I've sent the parent to the parking lot if I can ask him I'm I'm assuming it's language is not a part of it but what was the reason why you decided to take that so he was adamant that I was wrong and he was right and in you know that's part of the that's full small part of the problem is parents and coaches the they don't know the rules I think they know the rules and when they get into these arguments about what they feel is right and you're wrong where you can tell them dad coach you know you eat you gotta stop it okay we're not going to have this anymore you know but when they continue to to go on it's it's time to go you know the you just got a leaf alright let's talk about the athletes themselves or whatever level their eyes I suppose seeing their parents some parents act up have they demonstrated behavior like that as well are they kind of getting that bad influence from the parents in fact they are because you know there little league baseball has the partnered with a program called positive coaching alliance work where you get the parents involved in the respecting the game and if the parents are acting a fool they see their parents acting that way and they think it's okay and that just leads to problems either at that level or down the road thank you Steve Kerr because he's a director of training new director of training for Wisconsin I'm partial see association after the break when asking about the the fallout from this what it means for the number of people that are trying to fill these jobs on players and referees Weston about that after the break right here in W. "My voice there's little clamps all right so it's cool today but we're going to be okay it's gonna warm up act to get the weather forecast long term looks pretty good and kind of back to summer thing shorter show today so I'll be done at eight thirty back some does say thirty why would I be already done that we don't really know yeah that would be extremely sharp that's when I start eleven thirty handed off the brewers and the rap of that series so I love sports you know this is Mike Spaulding right I love sports and I love talking about the Packers and then we'll get some of that and and the brewers. there's a lot of things I could do on the show some of the mix of today little sports or actually have some common we're bring Wilder's back today Hayes good he's funny he didn't get enough time I know will last time in the bay area actually had a chance to sit down and talk with them he's good we're gonna bring him back we can make sense of sports and serious stuff I'm looking for the show even though it's shorter. well I mean we will not get away without mentioning there is a debate tonight all yes speaking of sports yeah yeah a lot of sports analogies the ten top democratic presidential candidates will be on stage night Houston democratic candidates qualify for this debate here at Texas Southern University and hosted by ABC news as front runner in the polls Joe Biden remains at center stage flanked by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren the first time those three leaders share a stage comma Harris to judge Cory Booker in any clubs are are among those Democrats seeking a moment to break through was still crowded field. so does this debate it's the heavy hitters are meeting for the first time really the yeah yeah yeah together and mentioned Biden Sanders and and Warren all together does it increase the intrigue I think so I mean just one night didn't increase the entry because you don't have to watch for two whole nights with you know twenty candidates I think it's down to the big three in you you mentioned them I did see a comment yesterday on social media from my hands you Yang one of the candidates is he on the stage for this one or not yes yes yes okay so here he is apparently gonna do something tonight's that no other presidential candidate has ever done that's what they pushed out there we think that is I don't know he he shot baskets it rally he's crowd served at a rally actually crowd surfing is kind of stealing but o'rourke's thunder. I don't think we ever seen that in a you know you can really be topical and vape on the town mall see maybe that's it maybe they can do a free throw cop I don't know what what what what what what is position be I'm vaping those he's pro savings are going to be on the debate I don't know if it's providing I don't know either he's a tech guy so maybe I don't I'm I'm excited to see it's although I'm I'm not gonna I'm gonna I'm freely admits I'm gonna sample it's because I can I'm bored out of my skull watching these. ten people twenty people debates just. it's just numbers my brain so I have to be a you have typed little bits of that is just all I need all right we'll get back to sports and I love talking about sports and the Packers they will be hosting in Lambeau field on Sunday for the first time this regular either and you will be there will you be doing the wave at any point you know I don't like the way where does before I'm not a big fan of the way when Rogers appreciate that you know my only ask is is that we don't do the wave.

"Everybody on this someone rainy cloudy damp day but you know what some warm weather is coming it's meaning eighty. which I appreciate this stuff in golf and this year Mike Spaulding joining me in studio let's talk let's call this the chains segment we got a lot of things changing in our world yeah that will try anything once segment. with this one the rain not bad it gives you an excuse to sit inside and watch apple's major announcement it is September so annually apple does this thing where they introduce new products every couple years you even get a new iPhone and that's going to be what's happening today's announcement here in California is expected to be more of an evolution that a revolution the rumors are the iPhone eleven lineup will look and act very much like last year's models with a couple of tweaks like an upgraded camera and a new process or maybe better waterproof capabilities but no major changes like a folding iPhone or five G.. I've got a success. so I don't know what you have but I got a success I have an eight I usually keep mine every like two model years kind of seven your contract runs out or whatever you paid off yeah might anyone in I've paid for this one already and frankly it still works pretty good and I I you know I got a new battery in it at some point but it seems like it's working I know that there's people to change the new phones and I heard you guys doing the show Paul this more err err can and Jane doing the show Paul about the the what you like to see I I interesting with the sole about it was interesting but I would like this would be very helpful what else do you need to do I mean take your temperature I think that's what apple relies on we don't know and so they tell us that that's what we needed to do I think there's going to be a lot more virtual reality capability. my wife and I bought blinds this weekend because. but where we got a from allow you to open the app on your phone put the photo of the blinds up to your window it would like zoom around yeah you can kind of see what it look I mean if you know exactly what it would look like yeah I mean we are I think is the way the future I don't know what else you can do capability was how good can your camera be now if I could have a thing where I can hold on to my backyard and it would add landscaping features that I was thinking I don't see that I think that's the next step but I'm going to use that on the phone we have one one leaves me. I guess people chase that stuff and do we know what the new price of the eleven is verses the wasn't ten acts or no we don't but they what they talked a thousand Bucks last year for the first time anything I want to pay a thousand dollars for phone when mine works just fine I agree with you I'm not a yeah me neither that's why I still have my old one without like the face recognition of any that seem I'm older than you I remember all the way back Mike to the time we had no phones there was the the phones in a bag then of those big break fall yes if you have one of those you are pretty cool although you could what could you do it to things like the size of a break you have like carry around your hand it didn't fit any signal like back then not good I mean very very hard to get a connection didn't last long the batteries didn't last long and then of course all the evolutions the flip phone which I actually still I know people still have flip phones my aunt has won yeah we make fun of every time but they work for them yeah they don't want tax they don't want. see what the weather is in Burma they don't care about that stuff they just want to. all in the they actually use here's the Outlander with this they actually use our phones have phone conversations revolutionary yes speaking of revolutionary yeah speaking of trying something new the Packers announcing their and I was like in game entertainment but kind of the overall everything that happens in Lambeau field that's not on the football field they tried the third down foghorn and in the preseason one time did not get great reception so that's out they're not doing that anymore if they are they did announce it in there a little press release yesterday but they are calling their entire package the embracing the frozen tundra theme that's kind of the theme of the year meeting. get loud and be loud don't sit bundled up all the time you know embrace the cold weather clap so they're gonna be adding more fireworks they're gonna be adding some more in game music they're going to take better advantage of those giant video screens all in an effort to make the in stadium experience closer to the great experience that you have then we talked about twenty in your home so it's like a theme park basically with the fireworks and you know I think there is an issue what they should do is like you know these things at the basketball games really the cannons yeah let's do that Lambeau Lister Kerik actually propel a teacher all the way up to the other seats in a way I don't have it for the one hundred. you see the guy get knocked out by the teacher cannot mean Hey look they they're very good at this stuff I'll tell you change I didn't like so in the club seats section whatever they call that now I've heard those are nice yeah they're very nice other people get mad when I talk about it but look this is the reality all right so they've gone from where you used to have you give your order of a person now the food was just out there you take and you check yourself out yourself also the college kind of new signings adoration wasn't well received in the preseason game I was that it was mass confusion but that there's no there's no people that are actually giving the food there's they're they're making it but they just put on a on a little counter then you get yourself better heat lamp or something yeah yeah how was it it was okay not as good I could do I could do a whole hour on a level food it should be better let's put it that way all right what what's our last change thing appellee big change from an apple a is going from Mr monopoly to ms monopoly again it's one of America's most recognizable board games getting an upgrade Hasbro set to debut the game a little bit later on this month essentially a couple of new things one with ms monopoly if you're female player you'll get more money than male players so every time you pass go you'll get two hundred forty dollars compared to a male who passes go look at the normal two hundred they're also doing some female lead investment opportunities chocolate chip cookies wifi some of the more spanks I think is one of them some of the more big it what does the success story it sounds bad on on its face was it was a big success for some for a young college aged woman who decided Hey spandex where can be worn out. yeah she's like a billionaire now that's crazy so yeah some new things a couple of new pain or a couple of new mascots are gonna be played on have in front of me the issue and had all that kind of stuff. I guess and I I understand the the greater societal point of trying to make but I never thought there was like inherent bias built ins or not Lee game and require this kind of a you know should you try to fix the size problems on the board game people get mad enough I don't know last time you played monopoly the people get up in arms enough. let me ask you this question as a young person yeah I think young people hate to lose more than people of my age hate to lose that if that's true they get angry when they lose yes they do yes why is that why is that I don't know you don't get so you don't get you don't lose a lot you know it's easier to not lose a you can thank me video games because they're quick to not just now I blame it on video games..
