"Two years ago i went through a dark spot in business and i was just trying to figure out like okay all my life. No matter what happened to me. I've always elevated not just because i'm in a dark time right now. It doesn't mean i elevate. Why was that happening in the past. Why have always been able to elevate no matter what happened. I figured out that. I was taking everything that would stop or slow. A normal person down. I was started in my fuel tank instead of my truck. Where would we be down. And i was converting it into rocket fuel for my future blasted myself off into outer space away from other gravitational pool so i was like this is too strong not to share with people. Got a bottle this so i decided to write the book. Rocket fuel convert setbacks. Become unstoppable and that should be coming out by the end of this month on amazon and it should be already a bestseller based on pre sales that we have so. That's a little background. Where i am in the mission that i'm on right now that all people were unstoppable to live the life of their dreams. I love it. And i think that it's because at some point you either. You either succumb to the obstacles. And you can't do it and it's too hard or you make a decision that you're gonna change and when you when you do change and you show yourself like hey this stuff doesn't have to define me suddenly how you view the world completely shifts right you perspective changes if if sammy that thing is not defining meaning more this other obstacle is nothing to me and it almost becomes a fuel and i think of my south like pacman going around just chump obstacles points and getting bigger because i see them as opportunities to grow enough become the problem solving machine. You know what i mean like. I'm part of mastermind group with some friends and just got off that before coming on here and it's just four dudes each crushing different areas coming together to to help solve each other's problems and give each other a kick in the us. And and i love that stuff because i love seeing problems. Different outlook love looking at them as opportunities and i think that that is a defining factor of somebody who's successful in any area whether it's the did the house their relationships their business is they don't see problems so to speak. It sounds know motivational and stuff like that. But you know exactly what you don't see them the problem you see an opportunity to grow over time. There's a friction it's like how can we make things better make it easier. Because otherwise these things start stacking up and if you don't solve them they stack up and then it's too heavy to lift. And then you don't have a hard decision to make and i'd rather not have a whole lot of decisions. I'd rather have a hold of slight blips

"In the entire traveling for a little to today have been doing that no nets address, there is no way to identify how this got into our clubhouse than any activities on Tuesday night. We're not at the entire traveling party is responsible for not following the protocols that includes gorgeous staffs in players. Everyone has seen the impact they've seen their teammates get sick. I know they all have a new level of appreciation. Hopefully, this has been a wakeup call forever, not only on our team, but the rest of the baseball and sports general. So the marlins situation seems to be improving in terms of players coming back from Corona virus. But for the Saint Louis Cardinals, the problems persist, they've had thirteen members test positive. For Kobe, nineteen, the last week and their series against the Tigers has been postponed. John mazone locked. The cardinals general manager talked about the reality team situation. We are where we are, and you know we're all hopeful that that we can. Can Start taking step forward, we all hear about flattening the curve and what that means in our country and our states in our cities. But looking at it from a baseball team standpoint, it's a microcosm and I will say based on last night's testing. We are encouraged that we're getting closer to that point. We are not there yet, but we are getting closer. That's why we will remain in. It's vice. Elation. Seen heads rejoice. Timmy time this great game or what? With Tin Kurkin on baseball tonight. And Tim Cartoon Covers Baseball for ESPN, which is mostly fun but yesterday, Tim. Was a hard day to to see Mike Sirocco, talented young pitcher who was so important of the team last year, go down with an injury and and look I'm sure you like is soon as you saw it, you knew exactly what happened in it would mean for the braves. Yeah, and it's not just that he's the best pitcher on the team and one of the best young pitchers in the game. He's one of the kids you'll ever meet. He Larry Each really smart, and now he's lost for the season and that was devastating to watch. C.. A young kid go down that early and I, mean, the braves can still make the playoffs. But now they're pitching is you know, Cole, Hamels is hurt anyway, and now you lose your best pitcher I. think they can slug their way through. They still have some arms in the bullpen. They still have a couple of good starting pitchers for sure but. That was a bad day and I'm sorry buster. We've had a lot of bad days baseball so far eleven days in, but that won't hurt the most because we certainly didn't see that and it was certainly Kobe. related. Tell me about some of the time you spend with Mike Sue. So people can get a sense of his personality. Well I did the I did the semantics this spring with the braves and So you get like ten minutes to sit down and talk to a player. So we were trying to figure out I asked every player, how to spell Mike Foale to navy ges. Last name and Mike Sirocco was hilarious explaining that no one on the team has any idea how to spell it, and then he took a run at it and he got it all right until the end. End, and then he put like K. at the end instead, of Z, which being from Canada, he called a Zad. So we he's just kinda really good way about him and we had him on a when I did a game from the booth last year. ATLANTA. He did the game in. Be You know one of the innings without Mike Gone and he was absolutely hilarious and unbelievably smart, and for guy that yellow who just got to the? Big, leagues. Now, we have a bleacher today kayaking Smith asked the question. With Mike, Sirocco, going down the braves lost four. They're five expected opening day rotation members. Who can they realistically go after to bolster their rotation? Tim Most years every other year, you'd see question like that and a bunch of names pop in your head. But my God. This year. There's just so many factors that are involved. So many variables that are involved, will this season go forward and we'll talk about that in a second. How do you actually establish trade value? Who might not be around, for example, some of the teams that. Would be sellers that we would talk about is having a veteran pieces available to deal in the rotation. Of feeling around baseball that some of those teams you might see guys walk away. I've had general managers. Tell me that as you try to assess possible trade value. One thing that has to factor in is okay. We might like a given player, but you're going to be willing to give up something of value and then and then have the season shutdown and never see return on your investment. It's hard. You know I can come up with names like the mets fall out I would imagine a rick. Portillo might become available, but I, just don't see teams either aggressively marketing or aggressively. For anyone who has a lot of experience? Right and buster. The other issue which you kind looted to is there's no minor league baseball this year. So when you start to go look at a prospect, let's go to accurate in this guy play and see if he fits there, there is no game in Akron. So how in the world are we going to really get a handle on the prospects you're trading for grant? We have is a million. You know so much information about all these guys, but it's It's you can make a deal for a young player. You gotta see the young player play. We don't even have that now. So I, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a really quiet trade deadline for all the reasons you spelled out there It's GonNa. Be Really Tricky. But there are some teams that are going to be out of it and they're gonNa have to say we gotta do something here in order to start to get ready for twenty twenty one. And there was another injury confirms with Shohei, Ohtani the angels announcing that he's a grade one grade to strain of his forearm, which you and I both know directly related to the elbow in your mind. How much does this call into question? The possibility that he would be a two way player moving forward. I, think this is more proof buster wide. Last Guy to really do this was Babe Ruth that it was. It's really really hard to do and even babe. Ruth Kinda gave up pitching to said I WANNA become a full-time hitter. He pitched in between here and there, but it just shows you how difficult and delicate. The skill pitching is how unrelated that is to be in a D agent hidden third every day and being an athlete on the other side of the ball I it's. It just shows again how hard it is to do, and I think this is the biggest red flag of all. That maybe he should just pick one or the other, and in this case, he has to pick just just hitting now I think he's so skilled. He could pick this back up as a pitcher someday and help out here and there, but it's just I've been saying all along. Let him do this as long as he can, as long as you can say healthy and clearly he can't stay healthy. But to have a guy who can throw one hundred miles an hour and hit a ball five hundred feet, and then have to make a choice between those two. That's really sad and really difficult to do. I wonder if as they move forward, if they'll be more conversation about possibly moving him from being a starter to reliever just to try that. We know it's so important to Otani that he attempt to do this..

"Pick today. I'm gonna do something a little bit different throw you pick. That's not in the article because as I started digging a lot more into some of these things that some of these notes for the betters box. I decided that I liked the Diamondbacks tonight. I mentioned this already. They hit a ton of ground balls, but they hit a lot of high-velocity Grumball's. Mike saroka is a very heavy ground. Ball pitcher for the Braves has some bad better. Progression coming has some left on base percentage. Regression coming the more. I dig into this one. And this line is moving against my thoughts on this game. His moving with my thoughts on this game. Excuse me. I think the Diamondbacks worth a play tonight. You know, you've got this Braves offense to this guzzling a little bit. You've got Lou Weaver who's been outstanding for the Diamondbacks here. So far the Diamondbacks hit a high number of ground balls, and a very high exit velocity that's tough for Mike sirocco because he's a ground ball guy. So I didn't like the Diamondbacks tonight. I thought about the under for the article I backed off of that we do like the site. A little bit more here. So again, not in the article, this is the first pick exclusive to the betters box this season. It has not been in the article overpaying the book dot com. So they're gonna like the Diamondbacks tonight here with Luke Weaver going up against Mike sirocco with that in mind. Let's preview that serious for this weekend with the Braves and the Dynamex sirocco Weaver tonight as I mentioned Julio, Tehran. Zek ranking tomorrow Kevin Gosper than Merrill, Kellyanne Saturday max freed expected to make that start on Sunday. Not sure who he'll be going up against for the Diamondbacks. As of yet Taylor car. Got that spot start against the raise. I doubt they go with him again. But we'll see what the diamond backs decide to do in that one on no ill-effects from Mike for max freed excuse me from that line drive off the hand. So he should be able to go is the only lefty going up against this right hand and heavy lineup Merrill, Kelly regressed last time out we correctly nailed that one. When we see it again from him. I don't know what the way see love sarokin Weaver tonight, very good pitching matchup and that. One. But what's interesting here is that you've got three righties for the Braves one in Tehran was an extreme fly ball guy wanna Gausman who's kind of a pitch to contact type of guy, Greg. He's had the home run problem. But he's been elite at home at as field since he signed with the Diamondbacks Kelly's regression guy. This series is pretty perplexing to me beyond this first game. I'm not really sure what I'll do with these extra games. If anything obviously won't have the picks article on Saturday and Sunday. So, you know, maybe personal place in that regard. But you know, this is an interesting series because I think the Diamondbacks are something of a regression candidate..

"That's the thing. Like, what would they really do? I guess maybe put Pierce at second base. Steve pierce? I guess they don't have time. I don't know what he ends. They brought up in he's a defensive guy. But like, I guess, you're right. If James doesn't hit, but I think folks are expected that he can hit. He went big and your main one seventy five to a secondary of sixty three. So I was secondary. Oh, SR Wh just went for it. You wouldn't have got him in mine either. But you'd have been a lot closer he went ninety one against the seventy one. So that's a pretty pretty solid with him. I was going to be replacing a healthy player. So it wasn't as it wasn't a need for me to replace him. Whereas I did kind of go a little bit all in on coal Tucker who will talk about doing just one moment, but we had to put all the mics together. So let's move over. You you mentioned too. And the Mike sirocco Mike sirocco came up. I think is Mike Wanner on our sites. I'm used to calling him that even though it goes by Mike saroka, but he had a brilliant start. I think it was on Thursday while we were podcasting or just before we podcast in rounded. You know, what would happen with this be a one in done when he pitched brilliantly like what if two key, you know, doesn't do. Well, and boy did he handle that because he got pummeled and as you mentioned get sent back down. And now it's looking like sirocco is going to have his opportunity. So he was a big guy. One eighty one to one seventy one or one eighty nine to one seventy one yearly damn one seventy one. That's tough dude in my Leeuwen gotten my there because he went to ten he doubled up the secondary at one five, you know, what's weird, by the way about some of the way these things parallel like how talk win went for sixty three in both of our leagues sirocco was for the exact same. Ersan in both leagues Ataman, right? How weird is that? Like one of the odds, that's just so wild. But yeah. So he was people have rostered atom rain, right? This late into the season. That's pretty funny. Is a bummer. I really wanted him. And obviously with a almost two hundred dollar bid. Not get him is a bit of a bummer. I like I said I think last week. I think saroka has the job as long as he's healthy. Did you get him in any of your leagues TJ FBI, or where was he valuable any twelve team online Chennault that he was available? Oh, actually, I do think I got him there. Let me I got. I got him in my online. Let me go. Oh, no. He went for hundred eighty two in my my online championship. Yeah. I went I ended up with Cole Tucker line shields. I kind of belie- Merrill, CARA Kelly. I haven't figured out the twelve team. Cadence yet. I I my bids aren't great there. But I did in one of them get saroka and Ryan McMahon at seventy six seventy four respectively. So. We're going to be more aggressive in the twelve teams. Because there's there's more guys that you can get with a dollar later on season. You would think that? But then I I end up overbidding. I I would think I think that's the approach I take. But then I think it goes the other way is that they are less aggressive on the top tier because I can just get somebody else or wait till next week. When another host of interesting names comes up, I got him in my main event qualifier. Okay. Okay. So that's that's my sirocco. We like him. We think he's got the job for a while. And could really take off. I think he could actually be a game changer to be quite honest..

"Second and third one out two run lead for the giants bottom of the night that is all outside too closer he can't throw strikes with a fastball he's about to be out of this game if he issues walk it's the top of the order arby's with the bases loaded and then you're in trouble not just as losing the lead but losing a game two and here comes and a ground ball toward first backhanded stab by belt along the line he'll race to the bag for the put out coming into score is camargo and it's a one run game but the giants get the second out g r j knocks in run on the play culbertson goes to third there are worse trades for the giants then that but now you have no margin for error with the time run at third base a wild pitch and error anything and the braves can tie this game so four to three with albee's up the guy who is so dynamic strickland who obvious he swings and pops up third base side foul ground here comes longoria under a to make the catch and the giants escape and get the sweep in atlanta ozzie albee's who is so aggressive so talented but he went after a pitch that was not a strike and tried to hold up and it was almost like a check swing pop up and that is how this game comes to an end and you can hear the moans from the crowd in atlanta because they were sure that albee's and the braves we're going to tie the game and maybe more somehow someway strickland gets himself through the ninth inning he gave up too but only the too and the giants get the win by the final score of four to three the totals four runs ten hits to errors for the giants they did strand tammy loss of janssen's to extend the lead along the way and it almost cost them three runs nine hits no errors the braves and stranding seven the first major league win for andy's whereas was on the line there big time but he gets it so suarez with the victory andy is now one and won and congratulations to him that is something to celebrate he certainly earned it the losing pitcher is mike sirocco that's his first big league loss he is also one in one and strickland does get the.

"Today the rockies now twenty and fifteen after the victory today the mets are seventeen and fifteen as the mets sit in third place in the national league east they enter today a game and a half behind atlanta for i and a half game behind the phillies for second and it looks like they'll be a game and a half behind both the braves and the phillies by the time this day is over if the scores hold up between those two teams today the braves are hosting the giants and they trail at home four to one in the ninth inning after as well as the braves played on their road trip they've gone home in will possibly get swept by san francisco mike sirocco made the start today but didn't have near the success he did against the mets in his first down and gave up four runs the giants three outs away from pulling off the series sweeps of the mets would stay a game and a half behind the braves the phillies struck out fifteen times in six and a third innings against max scherzer today it was a record for the most strikeouts while recording nine one thousand nine hundred or fewer by a major league pitcher of course scherzer's had a twenty strikeout game before today the anniversary of kerry wood's twenty strikeout game in nineteen ninety eight but sure zor because of the fifteen strikeouts racked up the high pitch count and he couldn't get through the seventh inning when he left the phillies took over there scored three runs in that innings one more in the eighth on a michael francke homerun matt adams has homered for the only nationals run jake arrieta continues to pitch well as a philly and it's four one philadelphia with that game in the bottom of the eighth inning at nationals park this afternoon so the mets would be a game and a half behind both the braves and the phillies if those scores hold up nationals do have the basis loaded in the bottom of the eighth though against philadelphia pittsburgh leads milwaukee eight nothing in the seventh adam frazier leadoff homer to get the pirates going today jordy mercer his first of the year dodgers and padres in monterrey.

"Sweep with their young lefthander andy suarez who pitched really well his last i'm still looking for his first major league win certainly pitch well enough to get it last time on the mound up against mike sirocco who won his big league debut he's just barely twenty one years old the youngest pitcher in major league baseball native of canada and sirocco supposed to be fun to watch and very talented so we'll see those to hookup tomorrow ten thirty five in the morning first pitch time only mentioned how deep this giants lineup has been how they got a balanced performance up and down the lineup here this afternoon dave flemming up here in the booth andrew mccutchen we understand his down in the dow gat just give us a couple of minutes after this game andrew congratulations on a win you know the old baseball cliche is that hitting is contagious is that true just like not hitting it's all contagious what you do as a team so when you're when you're heading we're all hidden so that's what it's all about the game you know up here we've been saying for a couple of weeks now that we sort of felt a hot streak coming for you the at bats look good and whether the hits were falling in or not have you felt that the hits are starting to fall in now yeah definitely i mean i just had that the schema santa process that they have to go the heads are falling can't change to maintain the same approach and just know that the his will and you know that's all i've been doing this whole time and you know starting to pay dividends now i don't know if you did it intentionally i did notice your first couple of at bats tonight with that big over shift on you punched a couple of hits through the right side the when you're up there at the at the plate are you surveying the defense ever are you are you looking to take advantage of a shift sometimes.
