"Maybe you don't do that you know. They talk about marijuana being something that's can increase anxiety so these things we know but the one thing that i've really understood with myself and i've had this i've been anxious mine taya life and people think i'm an extrovert. I would think they might think of extra from on stage. But i am dying up all the time i take beta blockers to make sure to get on top of the anxiety and consistently thinking about how much i suck and what people think of me. So i think about those little aspects that can create anxiety and the more Things i do the busier. I am the less i tend to think about that. So that's my wife. But i could leave this interview And go out there and have a panic attack much like you can because they can happen to anyone at any time but my number one answer this question would be like the the fact that when i feel anxious i think about it and it quite often comes back to something that i haven't done i haven't sent an email off haven't replied to a person i haven't finished a project. I have something you know all these things even like coming out into my studio at the back here and it messy or saying that this morning mike shook pain. I have some jokes. And it's just looking like i need to get in and clean it. So they compound and and you think about them a lot and for me that makes me anxious but it took a long time to understand that you know. I couldn't just blame. Being an anxious person. I had to look at the little intrinsic fibers and explore them. Well damon thank you so much. I think what you're doing is fantastic. It's great you're out there and speaking so openly about mental health and i really love the documentary. Mental is everything so thanks so much for talking to us. Thank you so much. Thanks for having me. And i wish you the best with your series as well. It's it's great to be here..

"I wanted to mention quickly and that we're probably getting close on time on the second already. It's It's the listing, actually, that I've had for a while here on silver spring driving suspects, and this is also an investor opportunity. So this is a very unique office condo in a professional building two story building in Sussex. Uh, the list pretty sound. This, um, has been reduced to 1 89 9. And it's currently leased out fully waste. Um, revenue on this is a little over 2000 months or $24,000 annual revenue on this And the list price is 1 89 9, You know, classes building. Um it overlooks a wooded river wide and Sussex right across the street from the post office. 2500 square. Um, it's a great lesson. So if your business professional uh and you are thinking about maybe growing your business, maybe moving out to the Sussex area, or maybe you're in that area and your lease is up and you Considering the benefits of owning rather than leasing can actually own this for west than one similar space in the area. And I would encourage you to give me a call and again. That number is 262. 366 46 100 to 6 to 366 46 100 Dan. It's My name is Mike Shook and I am here we alter with Homestead Realty..

"When I first bought my house, it's all always yes, but and what I'm hearing is that it is sometimes we make things too detailed and to complicate, and that's really what stops us in our path. But what it sounds like you're saying is We could have these big buckets and just start putting it down so that we can start tracking it. Absolutely So, as an example. You know, one of the things that we also think about is How are we tracking our income versus our, You know our expenditures right? And there are people with its two family household with two incomes right? Or there's people with more than one job. You know, you want to make sure that you're tracking both sides of that. It's not. We're not When you're doing a budget, you're not just tracking. Like what you're spending But you're tracking all the money that comes in and the difference between like top line income. You know, this is I get paid this much per hour, right and really being aware of like, what are all those deductions that are happening? Because then that so even the spreadsheet That you can sometimes download your pay statement so you can start to see from attacks Planning's standpoint from a insurance like how much are you having withheld for that pulling that stuff directly into a tool and again, you can pull it right and just sheets or excel. But then you can start to look at it month over month and then you're over here and start to say. Oh, are we planning this the right way? Yeah, And that's a good 00.2. It's really like we like to call it more of a cash flow statement. Because it really is. You just follow the dollar as it comes through, you know how much are you paid? What gets taken out? How much do you have left? How much hits your bank? What do you have taken out? And then How much do you have left over at the end of the day. And then what do you do with it? You should be doing something with that at the end of the day, and not just maybe putting it in the bank or, you know, that's what we help our clients of just saying, OK, what is that Net number, But you have to go through the exercise in order to know what that net number is. Otherwise, you're just kind of, you know, walking around in the dark, not knowing what you have. And then the other thing that I find eye opening is once you have it in the Excel spreadsheet. A lot of times. If I'm working with a client, they might say I value I'll just say church I value my church. You start listing out where you're spending your money. Does that correspond with your value of church? Does that correspond with your value of education? And so there's just so much you can get from tracking and it doesn't have to be difficulty. What are some things that individuals can do once I have the daddy in there? What's something they can do with it? Well, let me just the piece of what you just said in, you know, I would actually be looking at How can I just color code some of the things like if I'm truly saying that these things are the most important things to me, or I believe I spent this much You know, it's my intention to spend this much so you know, the color coding can help you said highlight the things that really are that important to you. And then you're gonna have the data to support like again for church. If your goal is really to ties, 10% do your numbers show it And if they don't When do you start course correcting because you don't want the head that to happen the end of the year in December, when there's often all sorts of other expenses happening, you know, that's something that should be course corrected and the dust said, you know, midyear point and this is what allows You to go back and reflect and say, I mean, we can get way more advanced in this and say, like, if a number If that tithing number were to dip the low 10%. We could actually use a tool called conditional formatting in sheets or excel. And it would actually show that up in red and say, Oh, you're not at the number that you said you wanted to be at So it's not just actual tracking. It's aspirational spending as well. Oh, nice. I like that, because that really does put it all in perspective of why you're doing this in the first place, So I just want to take a really quick break. But when we come back, I really want to start thinking of some ways that once we have the data in there What are some things we can do with it? What can we think about as we're doing that as well and then maybe for those that are a little bit more advanced? What's kind of the next step after that, so we'll be right back. There were probably some other things that they wanted to fix as well, which might have led to this being delayed anyway. Yeah, there is a lot of blowback from the demo they showed. A couple few weeks back and so they could have been a factor and also mentioned in appreciate it. Could you know like people are also working from home? We don't know how powerful the computers are how long it takes to get things on just could just be delayed and it's like, Hey, take your time. We have a bunch of games coming out in the next few months like I don't know if I would have jumped on Halo, they want anyway with all the all the crazy AAA games coming out. So I'm like take your time we ain't going nowhere. Yeah. We let's go mean it's not great Halos. Title for for an xbox launch. Having to delay it but Yeah. This is a couple hiccups you know again for playing on my phone that was pretty pretty seamless I think this? The comparison of this being like the Netflix of Games is very apt. Y Stadia didn't do. This is why they're not getting the kind of positive. Coverage they're getting, it's not to say that stadium is bad because it's not I've tried it also had tried it on mobile. So good service at works really well. But. It's the model of how you get the Games is the problem. I think about it with X. Cloud it's just there. Is just there. Yeah. Well Google announced the ANDROID earthquake alert system. Something you would want to know is there an attempt to use accelerometers to detect and alert people of earthquakes? It's similar to an APP called Mike Shake from the University of California at Berkeley, that detects p waves from. Early and can warn users before the damaging s wave shocks, reach them at least in some cases usually it's only a minute or so of heads up warning but sometimes, that is plenty the Google system would not rely on users installing APPs though because it would be built into android itself, the company is working.

"Six two two five seven zero two five all very good now add mention at the top there that you know spring is in the air and state sales are a big part of your services and and I we had a huge walk in this week it gets more coming up down the road but I thought let's talk about a state sales you know how do you how do you prepare for a state sales yes a lot of seniors they have a lot I could relations for thirty forty fifty years to get really nervous when they have to move and they think they have to do it all at once and I tell them you know one step at a time let's do them all first and then we can take everything that's left and we can decide whether there is enough for an estate sale but most of the times I tell him that most of our clients they don't want to do anything they say you know what here's the keys tell me when it's done I want to move and I want to get everything you know the house ready for the sale so you have to make the decision do you have enough energy to to work on it on your own or you know how much you want to do some and what about inventory I mean it when we won the customer or the client calls our office we do that complementary survey or complimentary complimentary estimate we go to the home and we analyze whether the whether there is enough inventory to do an estate sale and usually you have to have a least five thousand dollars worth of inventory okay in order to be cost effective for me us us consign with us as a company and also the client or the customer okay so I was I was wondering about that and then if it will get into this a little bit later but if if you don't sell anything go to the coast the it could the consignment shop right right so what we do is what we do the state's Selman after the state so whatever is left we take it to the consignment shop and we give you another ninety days to try to sell those items and we picked the best items that that could have a possibility of being self sold and usually at the consignment shop is a total different among the people that come to it so so if you can sell it and what what tools are they might be a chance to sell in Sussex or Menomonee falls that area people come from that area could not do a an estate sale even if even haven't moved yet we have some clients that their their apartments not ready or they have to wait for an apartment but they still want to get started in getting their their state still don and the downsizing and organizing all that and I we do the estate sales even though the house is still you're not being moved to a different place so we just make sure that they don't take your furniture nobody buys your furniture that you're that you're actually I think I can go to sleep whether that nobody buys your bad or your soul fire or anything that you want to take so we have a system for that for making sure that that particular furniture it is going to stay nobody's going to touch it you're either put it in a separate room or we either take it do not it's not for sale any works it's a little more it's a little more complicated but we have been able to do it well this is nice what's your company customers for all of you right I always think if there's a will there's a way we can we make it happen so that they the customer is happy there's there's got to be some necessary steps to doing this right right right so when the first thing that you wanted to if you if you get your appointment for someone to come in and do the ana analysis and then you want to make sure that the company that comes in is is insured and they're bonded insured and that they explain to you that you know what is the percentage of it taking of the taking fifty percent sixty percent after after the everything is done are there any specific expenses involved in also or you have to make sure you get to the details of the apps I guess we very we're very transparent so I always tell them this is what we do you know all this because we size are due in the state so we also do the moving of the packing and they on packing and the cleaning up and and so when we take things to consignment to charity so we do all fab so we make sure we're very transparent so the customer understands what's the process I'm glad you brought that up and we talked about the cook the consignment shop is a little bit while a little while ago but you do donate some of those items to like to goodwill or who right right well I try to I try to do I shared these that really like the woman centers on that try to do their best friends and I try to do charities like that and and good will yes we do some yeah might just die just use that one estate sales are huge I know at this time of year and I we're gonna talk about some of them coming up but you just have one this week and is that a matter of fact are executive producers in the studio is with us right now Mike shook and you said that you were amazed by what you saw on our I I get there yesterday morning to give make yeah hand and there must take great care most about a hundred people there waiting at seven thirty in the morning on the doors didn't open till eight o'clock this was in while it's Saturday and there's a lot of fun I I hung out there for a few hours and helped out and voice some great stuff at the sales and people have a lot of fun that that come to the sale so she's a she's getting a greater reputation with existing sales are right right I tried like I say I try to be very transparent with my customers and I try to help them what is you need what do you need help with you know and if they just need help just getting it organized that's all we do you know if they would just need help in the moving yeah so we do everything all the cart our company is very is very well known for that you don't have to take all our service but we are we provide all the search search right exactly exactly because of what it is is some seniors get very nervous when they have all different companies coming through the door and for them to see one company that can offer all the services they just get so excited that I don't have to think anymore this you know I'm we even have a realtor in all realtors that we can offer to that mission I'm sorry well let's talk about some of these upcoming estate sales that come after you have like three of them right right so then the state so but this coming up next is next week on March eleventh through the thirteenth and and it's going to be in Germantown and the address for that state so it's W. one sixty nine and one one five four eight Biscayne drive in Germantown again W. one sixty nine and one one five four eight B. scheme drive in Germantown okay and then we have another one he suspects on the twenty fifth through the twenty seven and that's on in fifty seven W. two forty two zero zero north sycamore circle in Sussex I hate those address and last but not least hopefully we don't have dates yet but I'm going to give you a heads up because this is going to be a review which one okay this is in our historical home in there highlands in what what's Wilson okay the Washington highlands it's just house about I'm gonna say ten rooms is is huge you don't you go from one room to another and I I think it's going to take us a long long time to finish it but we think we can finish it by the end of March or the beginning of April so we're going to have it in April and that's going to be at six zero one five Washington Boulevard in what what Tosa so that's all I have for now but I mean just enough to well I'm not going to yeah and we'll get some more information on how you know how you get involved in that but I know we're getting into that time of of year where people are going to be contacting you is it do you still have time to take some more clients on sure sure but I'm it's not it's going to be close to being in April or may hello that's when people are still going to be calling to get more sure it's all set up and it's going to get warmer so that's got another thing that we're doing is we're looking for movers and for helpers and dot one of the things that we look for is someone that has a a really young camp can do attitude attitude and the tests are hard to help seniors hand I yes to everything and that's what that's what we're looking for so if you're the kind of person call our office at two six two two five seven zero two five all and set up an interview you know what else is really cool as you get your own Facebook page to get said all that information on your Facebook page right right you can look at consigned with also Facebook and you can find a picture of of of the time that the state's sole is happening the date the time and all the items that might be.

"GTO's looking at a buddy of mine. John aim was working on his fiber to look at it yet a knock in the lower end of the motoring fresh built motor. But here's the deal. I looked at that Dag on block and typical Pontiac Buick olds the paint burns off. Why did they do that? Why do they have this? We're below the valve cover before the header starts. You got that two or three inch piece of block Randy? I know drives you nuts to the matter. How good you paint? It will burn it off. And it drives me nuts. Beautiful GTO and everybody. It's perfect paints. Burn off the block those not open. I guarantee it is. I don't know why they designed it's like the piston the exhaust goes out bounces off this little area. Then goes out the exhaust which burns the pain off. Everyone of the Chrysler four forty or the exhaust manifold one above the valve and burn the valve cover gasket out that way, that's Chrysler. They don't think anything better Scott McClure automotive. And we've got Mike online one. We'll get the Mike. I then after that. We'll get the Jack Moser, but Mike. Shake today, sir. The national auto show. Okay. Ranges that Columbus. Ranges that. That's the that's the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association. Zach doernen company located I believe with Dublin address you can check ADA get all the information from them. I don't think Columbus hazzing really cessation of. So so what's your question about what they need to do? They need that group needs to call city, Columbus, whoever runs the convention center and say, hey, we're having a big event here this Columbus. You wanna be a big time city. Keep the traffic laws enforced. The city of clubs couldn't handle that auto show and kiss concert. People trying to get to the auto show. Traffic was bad because it was illegal parking in the city. Columbus, wooden tow. It. Show. The traffic is being painful properly to would you say on high street or? The big trucks. They're part. With the you know, the what the tags over the meters says, no parking. Oh, it was a bear to get into the show as much as I hate to stick up for the city Columbus because you know, I'm pretty hard on the potholes, and everything I gotta say that every big city I've ever been around or or any vent. Like, we bear Jackson parking is hard. I just I don't know what the cities are thinking. Because what they do is they build all these big like you're saying all these events want one time, and they never account for parking. No matter what it is. It's like grow city built a giant WalMart complex all call it off string down. But it was a two lane road barely three lanes. And then about five years, they're like, oh, shut it all back down and get all this traffic. They just I don't know. What happens if the tax money doesn't come in after its builder why they don't preplanned parking and traffic, but but you think about these events I don't think you're ever going to sometimes there'll be a clippers. Game going on same time as blue jackets trying. So I don't think you ever deal with. I think the best thing. Well, wife, and I went to a Buckeye game. Same problem. I just got an Uber, and we left the house Newburgh down there for twenty five bucks. And I saved Ordonez in parking cross having above, and I drank some beers and didn't go to jail. Pretty good day. I can hear Mike right now calling home afterwards. Trying to get back home and his wife wondering why so late and he calls and goes, I know the phone's ringing before he goes Beth I hear you calling home.

"Let me get proper now my posture ready. I tell you guys about this because I just I it it blows my mind. Okay. So I decided to because we've been talking about 'em electric typewriter and actually get you know, a couple of computers and laptops. Okay. And since I've been giving medical advice on air for a decade now because I started I've been on radio since two thousand nine I decided to look into what would you like to give patients medical advice through an internet platform? And so I started doing it. And I it's. Wow. So patients, they I guess they log in. I don't know what they do on their end because I get a little notation. First of all, I let the platform Nell why let the internet. No, or however this works that Dr Dahlia's at the house. Okay. So I guess whoever logs onto this. And I guess you put in your insurance because many insurance companies pay telemedicine now they go on. And then I threw online care group. It's called amwell AM W E L L a miracle. Well, that's what a an while says for America. Well, and I guess you go on put your insurance, and you put your medical history in there. And you put your pharmacy information. And you put a brief statement of what's going on. You can even take pictures. So let's say you have a big infection or a now I understandably so if you have a genital infection, you're probably not going to put a picture, nobody asked. You to put a picture, but if you want to I guess, you have that ability. And so then all of a sudden it says, okay, you know, Dr. Patient for you. And you know, the patient his weight and think you're waiting. Hey. So I fixed my hair fixed, my bra straps, right? You know for knock a little bit. I don't even have to wash my hands. But I do I wash my hands because it's just a habit. And then I log on and there's the pace. Now, you see the kids in the background of the animals, and you know, sometimes I do this at home so shaky though, you know, comes on the screen is Jacob. Likes to inspect what's going on. He's like what's going on here? Mike shake. And then I guess we talk about what the medical issue is some of them some of them need education of something going on somebody may be having these symptoms and want to know what you know, what they should ask their doctor for but a growing theme. I see what these people that are coming out on the Tele medicine is they don't have access to their doctor now, I don't know how much you telemedicine thing costs. And so I don't know what it costs on your end. Okay. I guess I should probably try. I should probably find out because I think that again in all depends on your insurance, and what your covers etc. And so I don't know if the costs you twenty dollars. I don't know if it's free out of the cost you fifty dollars. I don't know. But obviously it's worth it for these people that are coming on because they can't get hold of the doctor one person called saying that their doctor doesn't come back till tomorrow, which would have been today. But it takes an average of three days for any prescription to be called. Now. I remember in my medical office. We had to later on. I would probably say maybe twelve thirteen years into my practice start having that rule where give us a few days for any prescription refill because I mean, if somebody needs medicine, I'm thinking, they did it right then and there, but if you have a big practice and your staff is busy with current patients. You're seeing that day and people are calling for refills and things like that. You do need a few day window, and so some.
