"Ats dot io with my thoughts. My picks for the major league baseball card. Got that up bright and early here this morning with a couple of plays for monday and some thoughts on some other games as well so encouraged you to check that out over at the website also makes you download the app but you can find in the google. Play store or in the apple store. It's a bet tracker and odd screen. Stats database really helpful handicapping resource for you so you download that for your android or ios devices the app so for today going to do something a little bit differently here and take a look all about. The futures market had a listener requests for this little bit pressed for time here on a monday. So i'll run through the division pennant and world series futures and also take a little bit of a look at the player futures markets. That are posted out there. Then give you some thoughts on some series coming up for the week ahead. So like i said. I had a listener. Ask about this and real quickly before we get into the numbers themselves. Just want to remind you how critically important is to shop around for the best prices. It doesn't matter if you're betting individual games futures markets props whatever the case may be. It is always in your best interest to shop around for the best prices. That means having multiple outs. That means being able to compare different sports books so this is something you want to get in the practice of all the time but especially with regards to futures markets. Because anything you can do to increase your profit. Potential will also increase your options as we get to the tail end of the season in terms of hedging and things of that sort so definitely very important to shop around for the best prices with that being said for consistency. Sake here on today's show. I'll be using the odds from fan duel sportsbook for the division pennant and the player futures world series futures as well. I did put together. The notes on sunday shouldn't be a whole lot of changes in the odds but do want to throw that out here today. In case you look over at faneuil and the prices are a little bit different as i said a little bit pressed for time here today so i did the notes on sunday to get this monday. Show out to you as quickly as possible and with that we start with the american league east the boston red sox a minus one seventy favourite raise the three to one range blue jays seven to one yankees ten to one the orioles with no chance whatsoever and this red sox team has a lot more staying power than i expected however they still have thirteen games left head to head with the raise and also the yankees so if tampa bay is going to make a move. It'll have to be in those head to head games. That's something you want to take a look at here. In these futures markets for divisions how many more head to head meetings are there because right now when you look at the situation with the red sox and the jays. It's very hard for toronto to make up ground because they just don't have those head to head opportunities the raise do so if you were to take a price of anybody here in the east i think the raise in that three to one plus two eighty range the one to look at but i don't think there's anything worth playing at this point in time boston. I don't think they're as good as they've shown here so far. But to this point they lead this division. They have a little bit of a decent lead at this point in time. So right now i don't see a lot of futures equity in that division but i do in the al central at the white sox and minus six hundred favourite indians five to one twins royals and tigers all well down from there. If you've got the capacity in your bank roll to do it. I think the white sox at minus six hundred are absolutely worth a play or whatever the best price you can find is out there in the betting market indians. Four a row to houston. They've dropped six in a row. The regression very much in progress. For this cleveland team. They do have a tough schedule. In the month of july they played tampa bay twice. I believe they play houston again. They played a pretty weak schedule in june. They were able to kind of stay. The course kind of be status quo a little bit in spite of all the pitcher injuries. And i know that people may want to look at this team and say look. They're getting shane bieber's actually second errand savelli back and while that is true. This is still a really bad offensive team. They've played a week schedule to this point and they've already played eleven of their nineteen games against the white sox as well so i think there are limited opportunities head to head for the indians to gain ground on chicago and tighten up this central division race. A little bit as far as the american league west goes houston and minus three twenty favourite. The as in the three to one range on the plus side angels mariners and rangers all with very limited shots based on the odds and based on where the standings kind of currently sip. I do think that oakland's deficit is manageable. However i don't think now is a good time to bet on them because they play the astros this week so oakland is three and a half games back. It's been a very one-sided season series to this point in time so i don't think now is a good time to bet on the as now of course you could say atom look. They may win two out of three. Get back a game in the standings. Yeah that's a possibility with how houston is playing with what that offense is doing. I would be surprised if oakland cuts that deficit down this week. So i don't think now is the time to bet on oakland. I think you wait and hope that maybe oakland can beat some other teams on some days when houston loses to kind of close that gap but ultimately the only futures play from a division standpoint. I see in the american league is to take chicago at that. Big chalky price. Because they're going to win that division as far as the other two divisions go while. I think both boston and houston probably do hold up at this point in time. I don't think that there's a whole lot of betting equity on either one of those teams as move over to the national league east here. The mets are minus two thirty braves at five to one nationals plus six fifty phillies at nine to one and the marlins well off the pace. Here i'm still really intrigued by the atlanta braves. I don't think that the mets are as good of a team as they've shown here so far they're run differential suggests that some of their other alternate standings metrics suggests that as well they do have three games in hand though and already have a lead so you are having a little bit of an uphill climb with atlanta. But that's where the five to one price comes in beyond jacob degrom. I don't think the mets rotation is that great. Marcus stroman is certainly very solid. But beyond that. I don't really like a whole lot about this. Mets pitching staff. Yeah the offense will get healthier and that will make a difference. But i still for whatever reason believe in this braves team. I don't know if it's the offense. I don't know if it's the talent level on the pitching side that really has underperformed thus far like the braves five to one are worthy of some consideration here for that national league east division crown over in the nfl central. The brewers are minus four ninety favourite the cubs at seven to one reds twelve. The one cardinals fourteen to one. This is a really tough division. Because the brewers do show a lot of regression signs but who can catch them. I mean i don't think the cubs are very good team. They've got some important position player. Impending free agents coming up that may be traded at the trade deadline or something like that. So i don't think the cubs can get back into this mix. I don't think the reds have the pitching and. I don't think the cardinals have anything. I think this is a very bad cardinals team. Mike scheldt seems to be in way over his head. The pitching staff is kind of in shambles with some of their injuries. And some of their home road splits so really not a whole lot of options here in the nfl central. Where i'm happy to have brewers for world series future fifty five to one prior to the season other than that. I don't really see a whole lot of futures equity in that national league central as you go to the nationally west division here. The dodgers the minus two ten favourite padres plus two sixty giants five to one diamondbacks and rockies with no.

"You thought about retiring and he you know politely scoffed and he said I've got too much to give the game if they as long as there's somebody who wants me to give something to baseball and I'll give it and he was so crazy after a month without baseball that. Maybe, re reminded him how much he liked managing. So he's too old think he is very very. Up to date with what's going on with the game and I think he would command respect with that that clubhouse. So I hope it happens. I. Think it's more realistic than some people are given it. May Be given it credit. We'll see I think they wanNA talk Aj Hinch, and everybody else. But they did talk to somebody who's been winning the White Sox Organization for a long time. He said look this thing has some legs to there. It's not just people throwing names round he has interviewed. At least met with the white sox once about it which I don't think he probably would have done unless he was interested in the job. So we'll see how it goes. You know I I've been asked about this and I said, it's not like taking some guy off the couch from ten years ago. That hasn't been around the game and that that is the big difference you know in Arizona running that franchise then being with the angels and if you watched any of these games and he's always in constant contact with members of the cardinals in particular like Mike Scheldt he he is in a Owner sweet or he's in a GM boxer president of baseball operations or at the Boston Red Sox. He's taken notes and he's trying to do his due diligence with those two teams and and or those three teams I should say in his capacity and in those roles. So you know you're not just coming off the couch. Insane. Well, here I am I'm going to try to do what I was doing ten years ago. The game is completely different than it was ten years ago. So He's around the game and as you mentioned, yeah, the players they they've changed a little bit but he's been there with those. And in terms of just instinct credibility, he walks in the clubhouse in my mind. He's got it because he's got the resume and when you shake his hand, he's got the rings. So he's got the credibility. You're right he knows when to kick a guy in a rear and he knows when to put his arm around you. So I don't know man I think he could do this and I just I think it's fascinating I think it'd be great for the game. Yeah I think to the motivation for him would be there I mean what?.

"Let's welcome in Brian Walden of the Cardinal Nation DOT COM Brian there has been so much movement with the cardinals they lost last night they split the double header a couple of days ago low first of all Howard things going with you. Go Great and I'm surprised you're able to squeeze it time to talk with me man is there any been any time since when maybe when you were calling other sports that you do eight games and five days never liked this idea remember five games in three days I think a couple of times we've had it even four days but not in three days so. This is crunching and a Lotta baseball. I am a fan though I'll say this I am a fan and I know you cover the minor leagues big time I'm a fan of the seven inning double header I I, gotTa wonder if Major League Baseball going forward using this as a test run is something that they're going to take a liking to in two thousand and twenty one and beyond. Well There's no doubt. Last night's game was tedious and part of it was because of the two starting pitchers in their deliberate. Motions, but moves on a mouth but still you know I have to admit a of folks talking about on the message work the car donation you know those Chris two minutes, seventeen minutes, twelve games where where you watch. I think you know you put a premium then on the fourth or fifth the sixty seventh right I mean you you love now again, these guys starters for the most part certainly with the cardinals are not stretched out across Major League Baseball. Certainly, some guys can get through seven innings. So it's different in a normal season, but I'd like the strategy of those games I like the Christmas of those games I I do think fans would welcome that especially when you watched what happened last night, there was just no action inside a four hour and seven minute game and it was it was just not a good baseball game. The other side of the coin. Of course, it's upside and I'm sure some become somebody's going to calculate how many hotdogs and how many to our are going to sell the people who are in the ballpark less than two hours. Two hours left. So you know I, I don't know how it'll end back right now for you know for us the fans watching a game I? Agree that the Nice Crisp. Seven Games are nice and and for cardinals pitching staff. But even Mike Scheldt admitted or running on fumes you know too few or any each game makes a big difference. So how do you think he plays into today? There is some roster pressure for the cardinals. There's a doubleheader they need somebody to step up today you had Jack Flaherty. So let let's start with the roster. Where's the roster pressure right now? Well I think I'm as a lot of folks know is sorta the Eleventh Cova player, but he never tested positive they did it based on They're they're contact tracing that that he had been exposed and they were worried that he might come down with the virus he has it either aside and Saint Louis either assignment Monday I dunno I the Saint Louis Rich Cocco but I guess in Chicago but you know the followers maybe he would be activated for that Monday header that didn't happen But the hope is that he'll be able to pitch that second game today behind Jack flirty but even so you know my shelter has.

"Com S. T. O. Criminal Defense, DOT com. It was this time last week we did not know the situation with the Saint Louis. Cardinals and the cardinals spent six days quarantined in Milwaukee. But now we are baseball back on the field. Tonight with the Chicago cubs coming to Saint Louis the blues playing last night. There's some news concerning college football. Ben Frederickson joins me every. Friday on scoops with Danny Mac. Dot Com to say the least been it's been an interesting Friday an. Week always good to visit with you. How are you man? Doing. Well, man thank you end up yours well and man, you nailed it a affiliates opening day two point Oh right now just a surreal surreal time covering the cardinals in this kind of a you know this, this convoluted the attempt for sports to come back. There have been some successes there have been some setbacks, but you know here we are in you know I think the cardinals right now are just thrilled to not be stuck in a haunted hotel in Milwaukee, certainly should start by saying, Hey, you want the want the guys who are who? have been diagnosed positive to get back. Ace. APP and most importantly to be feeling better for those who are suffering from the symptoms including the staff I, mean you think about those guys as much as you do the young the young in shape ballplayers probably even more so but good good that Garner got through this good that they were able to get their arms around the scope of the outbreak here, and now they're able to supplement the team with guys from Springfield and see how it looks. It's a tall order for this team to lose. Molina and Paul Young you throw in some of those other names they are in it makes suffer but they're they're up against against the team in the cubs that have been rolling of a bad loss in Kansas. City. Last night. But but I don't really know how we how we how we say what to expect because we didn't expect to recover the season like this when we certainly didn't expect to be covering the team that has spent better part of a week locked in a hotel room without being able to practice. I'm not sure what we're going to see on. The field that night I do find it fascinating I mean the cardinals yesterday had a little bit of a Sim game the day before it was the first time they literally were outside of their room. So trying to be sharp whether you're at the plate or on the mound I just don't know how sharp they can be, and that's what we're GONNA see tonight. I just don't know what to expect when the cardinals take the field tonight I don't think Mike Scheldt really knows or the players would know how sharp they could really realistically be going into this game tonight..

"It's sixty game so essentially start owing oh, like everybody is. You're in a pennant race which I love I think it's beautiful. So the pressure on Sheltie is and every manager is how long you stick with a Pitcher, but I of think Mike's Gambler to I think it's one of the reasons why they've been really good in the second half under Mike Scheldt under his two years. Is that okay? There's no time to waste its pedal to the metal. I'm done messing around in the first half of like. Do I figure out I? Can Get this guy going I maybe playing more than I should. I'm just trying to see. See what I got well..

"Dan Great to be back talking about Carl's ninety leak. It is good to be back talking about that. Let's jump right into what's happening now. There are players. Here's down on the fields. In Jupiter with instructional camp would use to be held right after the season but they felt and I think it's a smart move guys are worn out. They they were tired probably wanted to go home. Maybe some homesick and They said look. Let's scrap that. Maybe we get better attention to detail. Maybe we get better teaching if if we hold this right before spring training. And that's what they're doing right now aren't they. That's right. This is the third year of the cardinals. Instructional camp having been moved from September to January. Two weeks Going on now. The first couple of weeks of the year the four weeks of the year with thirty seven players down in Jupiter. I will mention though to a point. You made another another reason why they wanted to change. This was that a number of the players are still working on their college education. And by having instructional camp in September that precludes them from from being able to take classes in the fall term so by having this camp in January. You know those young men who still finishing their college education can get a fall term in and that's the primary reason reason it's another factor because we have to remember the cardinals draft a number of high school players. A number of these players signed after their junior year of college and they still may need another twenty twenty five hours of classes to before they get their important degree which is going to help them of course and the rest of their lives after their playing days are done. Yeah absolutely a lot of people I think are curious about what what instructional camp. What is that? WHO's on the field? Is Mike Scheldt there. Well let's go through that. What is instructional camp for those? That don't know well. It's basically hands on a much more hands on basis of Education and training for a group of players. They typically have classroom INFO classroom information and studying in the morning and then in the afternoon they get out on the field for For individual instructions with the roving instruction works for the system some of the managers some of the coaches and as you mentioned and they're focusing primarily at fundamentals. There aren't any games. The pictures of course are still just ramping up. So there's mostly pitcher's throwing bullpens more often than not it's coaches throwing batting practice Rather than pitchers But the idea is to give these young players Some focus on fundamentals. And let's start and to the point you made before The major league coaches are going to be in Jupiter next week. And they're GONNA be doing they're planning for Major Angelique Spring training camp and so that gives my show and and all you know all the coaches a chance to move over to the backfield's in the afternoon and then get a look at some of these young players so you know last year saw really all the major league coaches Around at different times during instructional camp you know getting a sneak peek at the at these thirty seven when young players brought floor. Yeah I find it really interesting with the guys that are down there. And it's not like every single minor leaguers down there. How do you get selected for the Instructional Cam? Well of course the cars don't say you know what their formulas but I do a lot of analysis of course of the backgrounds of the players and typically they're either players who are emerging urging or maybe some players who might have had injuries last year that they want to you know get them A moving a little ahead. It's not just the players on short season club so I stayed college Johnson City while there's a few of those actually you know the sweet spot of the the group of players are more like the class a high class. I say Along with the number players with Springfield and even some would memphis experience so really. It's kind of a kind of a mixed bag but the names are players that you recognize from Name brand guys like Gorman Malcolm Nunez down to some some lesser names including one young man Picture named Angel Klinka probably on health. Linka who I've not seen it because he pitched in the Dominican Summer League last summer. So we're talking about a young man who's been brought over to the United States. You know for his first I action in the US in this You know highly competitive but highly exclusive instructional camp so I can't just a wide variety of experiences of the players there. I'm also curious because year after year. Now the major league players are getting down there And many of them are already there right now in some of them have bought homes homes down there so they can get there and train well before spring training gets there. I'm curious how many of those guys make their way onto the field. Either to make a speech or go one one on one with a young prospect and talk to a kid and try to encourage them and tell them hey this is what it takes to make it to the big leagues. Well well I can tell you the last year I saw out here Molina there. Of course he has a winter home in the area so miles. Michael is there As well as a number of the you know the former former players who were involved in coaching roles players like Braden looper and Ryan Ludwig. So they're definitely yeah a number of Of players in former coaches around who can provide advice and counsel to these to these young players in structural care yesterday. The cardinals did make a little bit of news. They signed Oscar Hernandez he is a catcher. Does have big league experience number one. What do you think that means for Andrew Kisner and Matt leaders number two and and we'll get it well? Let's answer that. What do you think it means for those two guys? I don't really think it means a lot I think the cardinals wanting leaders back But like last year apparently his market is slow to develop. And so. I think everybody's waiting to see what's GonNa Happen. And if he falls back in the car's lap I'm sure they'd be delighted to have him back but it's going to be you know again on a one year deal at some reasonable reasonable money your Matt leaders former all star. You know. It was definitely did a good job for the cardinals left handed bat last year. You know he's probably looking to a place where maybe he can get a little more playing time than being behind you out of here. Molina which you know as everyone knows plays every day that he possibly possibly can so this doesn't preclude leaders return the signing of Oscar Hernandez really what it does is. It gives the cardinals another veteran guy on a minor league deal. Not Unlike Joe Hudson you know folks may have remembered last year was around and the cardinals always you know have these journeymen catchers Opinion was the guy before that you know who who are around and they can put in triple a. provided more experience if needed now the real question which none of us know the answer to. Is You know where the cardinals feel. Andrew Kisner defenses. This do they feel these defense is good enough that they can afford to have him basically sit out in the bullpen and warm up pitchers and Saint Louis or do they want him to continue to play every day A. and Memphis and it sort of looks like maybe the play every day in Memphis might be the preferred approach certainly if they bring leaders back That would be the approach Roach and now with the case of ours Hernandez they you know. They have an opportunity to go that way. If they so choose now never point to note Oscar Hernandez was on a minor league contract. So if they were to to you know have him on the team he would you know have to be added to the forty man roster but there's always ways to to move that around so that won't be a big factor actor. I think the big question will be. You know. We'll we'll we'll leaders come back and you know where to the cardinals really feel Andrew because there's Catching is and whether they I think you know. Another year in Memphis will be the best answer for his develop. Yeah you took me right to the second part of that question I was going to ask you Before which is where do you think his nerves is defensively is he a major league. Catcher is a major league. Backup catcher. Defensively is he a twenty six man roster guy where do you think he is with all those those options questions surrounding going into spring. I don't think anybody least. Nobody I've talked to has said they believe Andrew Kisner the finished product meaning that that he couldn't continue to grow and to get better so the question of the twenty six is an interesting one because with that extra spot on the roster you know if if leaders came back for example what they could easily do is have Kisner as the third catcher. Therefore you use leaders as a left handed pinch hitter and and he's still have kids that are in reserve if me was hurt late in the game or something so you know. They're still might be flexibility. Even you know to have three catchers on the roster and again I just to go back original point I think Oscar Hernandez is nothing more than a low price insurance policy at this point. You know. I don't care if you're talking about College Football Basketball Baseball Major League baseball all the NBA. Whatever it's consistency consistency with your coaching staff consistency with your front office and ownership cardinals have that and they have consistency right now with their minor league managers? They made the announcement a couple of days ago. Seven of the nine minor league managers will return in twenty twenty. That's again and again you know it makes sense given an instructional camp is open You know a number of these coaches are down in coaches and managers are down and Jupiter working so they you know pretty well got their systems lined up a couple of TVD's but you know all the managers is you set are in place and most of them are coming back One of the changes inches is at golf city. Scarring at the Gulf Coast League where Joey Hawkins who was a former minor league. INFIELDER came back with a coach hitting coach last year. Now now he's GonNa be a new manager there but the names that everybody knows you know from the top Ben Johnson Memphis joke rusel Springfield Damigella Palm Beach Erica. Monte Jose Roberto Espinosa Spinoza who led Johnson city to a title last year. So all those guys are back. And that's great on the pitching side a lot of stability as well pitching coach side One new person listen to join the organization. This state colleges new pitching coach Dean Kika for who folks may remember was a left handed reliever for the cardinals left a few years ago. You know. Continue to bounce around get a little bit of major major league action here and there but do you think they're seeing a number of organizations now and he's decided it isn't extent is coaching and so he's the new pitching coach at State College now on the hitting coach side just as we talked about stability in management in the hitting coach side pretty much. Everybody's changed chairs. But again I think the top five or six hitting coach's while they're all in new assignments were in the organization previously but then at the lower levels there are four or five new hitting coaches who've been brought in and I think what we're seeing here is sort of you know year two of the of the new kidding regime that the cardinals have a new Minor League hitting coordinator and Rothstein.

"It's like you get on a real boat and go out into the harbor and the the jaws from the movie comes out of the water. But I'm not sure about all this the guy working there says, oh, this is nothing. It's it's okay. She won't have any problem with she's two and a half. So she goes on the ride the shark comes out, and she has been petrified of sharks ever since. She's twenty eight years old. She can't go to an aquarium. She can't watch a movie with in it. So be careful anyone who's got a young child. Do not make the worst mistake you can make with your child. Like, I. Did and listened to the guy said don't worry won't affect her. It's was twenty six years ago, and she's still terrified. That's unbelievable. And I know is apparent that. That's guilt that just stays with you on nausea chew. And you question your decision on that Mike Scheldt in watching? He and the cardinals the end of that game. Tim last night. Our crew did a great job at capturing the image of in the ninth inning is the cardinals and the verge of being swept and seeing his face and the face appalled. The young is the two of them are talking and looking at the face of the players in the cardinals dugout. I gotta tell ya. Not many times I've seen a team get their butt whipped. And and my thought was still you know, what they're fine. This team is in a great place. These players love playing together. They absolutely love. Mike Scheldt from player to player to player. They talk about how genuine he is how much they feel like that. He's on their side. I hear these great stories about this coaching staff with a lot of guys who never played in the big leagues in how hard they work. And Mike, she'll seems to be a person of such integrity and sincerity that the players just believe in him. And look there are thousands stories. I could give you this is one that I thought was really cool. You probably have heard it. George Kissel of courses, the godfather baseball in the corridors organization he passed away in two thousand eight he joined the cardinals organization in nineteen forty in four years after George passed away, his son gave Mike Shilton a book of notes that his father had accumulated and his Mike told us this yesterday. He said, you know, I still get goosebumps thinking about this. He has it on his desk. And he looks at it all the time. And he looks at it when he wants reminders of things basics about fundamentals, and I think the players really responded that even killed nature which really came out and dug out at the end of that three sweep did you see that? Yes. I did BUSTER. And I also saw the cardinals last week in Washington before they lost four games in a row. But hardly the point. You're right. There is such a good feel about that team. And maybe it has to do with Andrew Miller and even more so of. Course with Paul Goldschmidt. But it's also the coaching staff and the manager when I went in that, Dan, I accidentally walked in early and the managers and coaches were sitting around having a meeting there were ten of them. It seemed like sitting not even on chairs just sitting on the ground going over some stuff for the game that night with Mike shelter in the middle. And it was like he was a teacher, and they were going over the lesson plan for the day. And that's precisely what it was. But instead of being completely sabre metric, and we have to hammer these numbers into these guys. They have such a nice touch with the players on that team. And let's face it BUSTER. That's what managing is about. Now. It's about the touch and feel that you have with the players. What's the best to get the best out of this guy tonight and Mike chilled has that? And so does that coaching staff led by Mike Maddux? Of course who so good at this. So I have no doubt the cardinals will pull out of this. Which they will. I have no doubt the cardinals the brewers and the cubs will be in this for the entire season. And I wouldn't be shocked of all three of them made the playoffs..

"Great young left-hander for the Atlanta Braves. It I was watching their game last night. They might saroka who's supposed to be the best of this group of young starting pitchers, man. He was terrific against San Diego and to watch his stuffing, and sort of watched the way that he's carrying himself on the mound. I'm looking at the national yeast and know the Phillies really haven't taken off in the Mets of Ed some injuries, and they're trying to get Noah Syndergaard, right? And they're kinda slogging along then nationals are clearly having some bullpen problems. I still feel like I picked the Braves to win this division before the year. Started just watch these feel like the Braves are putting together their pitching as the season goes along. What do you think? Yeah, I'm sure you feel a little better with the way freed and saroka have pitched. I mean, he's not supposed to be a big huge strikeout guy. But he has twenty one in sixteen and two thirds innings. So. Far. So he's getting I think even more swings and misses than than people might have projected the way he kind of more of a control guy in the minors. So yeah, that's looking like a really good one two punch. We know the lineup is going to be very good throughout the year. So yeah, the way the other teams are struggling it's gonna be a dogfight all year in that division. It probably comes down to health. But yeah. Like the Braves, you know, a lot more than I did the start of the year because of the emergence of those two young starters and unassuming you like the cardinals better than you did at the start of the season they won again, they're eighteen and ten you. And I talked last week the week before about the remarkable depth on this roster in recent years. There've been times when you looked at the cardinals bench, and they really didn't have a lot not this year. I mean, they are stacked and every day it feels like Mike Scheldt their manager has a lot of great choices who is going to start on the platoon advantages. We're getting ready for Sunday night baseball. The cubs are scheduled to start Jose contain a left-hander. I wonder if Joe Madden might change that after he looks at the split numbers again against it from the cardinals right hand hitters because they just Reckem, you know, you've got Jose Martinez. And last night's game called one comes off the bench Dexter Fowler. Not great against lefties, but he's really good against righties. Tyler O'neil Harrison baiter as he struggled offensively. They worked in other guys in the outfield. It's such a deep lineup. And it's why I think it'll be around all year. Yeah. That's really good point gets left east because baiter he's pretty good against lefties. He can play Jose Martinez. He's crushed lefties in the past. I mean, he wasn't even in the lineup at the start of the year. He's in three three fifty one getting playing time because of some injuries. Yeah. Best lineup. They've had you know, really since what the the Scott rolling Albert holes teams. Right. Jim Edmonds back in the mid two thousand when they won a hundred games and back to back years. Yeah. I pick them to win the wild card at the start of the season. I would certainly flip that and pick them to win the division clearly them the dodgers. Look like the best team in the National League right now. In later in the week on Thursday were scheduled to speak with their goal to covers the cardinals for the Saint Louis post-dispatch we've spent so much time talking about the Blue Jays with all the focus being on glad America, rare junior. But big picture when you look at what's going on for the Blue Jays this year. It feels like that the clouds that have been around this organization for a couple of years. They're opening up, and separating everything seems to be coming together. Not only with the essential of prospects light Vlad junior..

"Shaw within get Basit followed by a hey, sues angular, it and Orlando arsia would walk that loads. The basis for hot hitting pitcher, Brandon Woodruff. Here comes a to pitch to Brandon Woodruff ground ball. It's a down the right field line now score at least to Shaw's Aguilar's in moving to second. Woodrow Kroll is not in time. It's a two run double by Brandon Woodruff. So interestingly enough that turns into a five running for the brewers. They take a five run lead. We see Christian yelich just absolutely destroy the cardinals that just this series. Really since he's been a brewer. But here's your upset of the night. Yellow commits two of the three outs. He had a fly out in a strikeout both in the third inning. But he would he would rebound in a big way. Let's go ahead and fast forward to the fitness with one out Orlando, arsia would get a base it than with two outs. Lorenzo Cain would get a Basit. This might not have been a completely fair thing for cardinals manager Mike Scheldt to do because he brings in pitcher Ryan housing run healthy these making his major league debut and he's making his major league debut to face Christian yelich to. Pitch coming yell at. Park again on other three run home run for Chris. They're on their feed here. And why now?.

"Louis extra innings with Pauley on WTMJ. Peralta behind on the first two hitters carpenter leads. It. I ain't gonna run swinging in a fly ball hit the left warning track. Braun at the wall. Do watch that wanna go on a year and Saint Louis to nothing lead. Brewers extra innings continues on here on WTMJ map. He's my name joined by Craig Kasan your back. Craig welcome back to another year of brewers extra. It's almost like we never left. It is. You know, what we were talking about this yesterday walking into the ballpark yesterday. It really felt like it was just a few moments earlier that we were walking out of here after game seven. You got that? Right. Yesterday was very strange in that manner because I think that the season going as far as it did. And then all the hype we never stopped talking about the brewers during the offseason, they were they were highly, you know, in high demand, or whatever when it comes to conversations with people, and obviously the talk and all that. And so and we're starting a little bit earlier than normal. So this is good stuff though. I mean despite tonight's loss. This is it's great to be back, and that's going to be back on the air with you. I was joking around with somebody today because you wanna make all these big declarative statements based on things that happened in game one game two or game three or game four and one of the things that we very often say early on in the season is it's not even may all we can say it's not even April March right now this is such an early start to the season. They're going to get four games in before April. First it was kinda weird. You know in Phoenix last week on the brewers announced. They're starting rotation. And what days everybody was gonna pitch you're going to get through the first four guys. And then Zak Davies is gonna pitch the fifth game on April first. Yeah. But you know, what I'll take it right now. I I don't mind starting in March because all the hypes going on. Anyway, why not get it going, you know, within a week earlier than normal four one four seven nine nine one six twenty four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage, talk and text line. You can also tweet into the program if you'd like at map Pauley on air. Greg two things jumped out at me today. First off I think the bullpen and not so much the individuals who are in the bullpen. But more the way the bullpen is going to be utilized implemented. I think that's still very much a work in progress here at the beginning of the season. And the thing that strikes me is man, Paul Goldschmidt gonna have a huge impact on the National League central for a number of years to come. And we knew that was coming but man alive to come to come here to this ballpark today after the brewers held them in check pretty good yesterday. I mean, he hit. The knows the ball minnows like every single time. He was up here tonight. And you get the three home runs. He was four for five in this game. And and I finally decided to walk them in his last at bat. We we may see more of that. I mean, look what we've already seen with Christian yelich after he had it's homerun yesterday. You know, he's drawn three walks. He's been another tough guy to keep off the basis hit a home run late. But this cardinal team is going to be something to be reckoned with with him, especially here. I mean, twenty five or twenty six games are the kids. Eleven home runs here in this ballpark, including three tonight. This was tweeted out by one of the cardinals beat writers. This is incredible Paul Goldschmidt. Just the second player since two thousand fifteen to have a single game putting five balls in play with an exit velocity of one hundred four point nine miles per hour or greater just the second time since two thousand fifteen that somebody's hit the ball as hard as he hit a lot about bats. Yeah. A lot of people. I mean, that's really something. Not not surprised to Tim though. I mean. He's a special player. He's an MVP candidate, obviously. And the way he and y'all have started out here. It's going to be interesting, and and kind of fun here over the next couple of days, you know, how do pitchers pitch against these guys? Now, you know, you have to make an immediate adjustment. You can't just keep challenging him. I mean, look what he did to strikes tonight at least two of his home runs. If not three on two strikes, but I'm not mistaken. I what's gonna be fun to watch. And baseball's not a game of individual versus individual when you're talking about position players, but Christian yelich since joining the brewers has destroyed the cardinals and now Paul Goldschmidt a guy who has a profile as a brewer killer is now on the cardinals. I think it's a lot of both those guys are under club control with their respective for a number of years. It's gonna be fun to watch kind of that quote unquote, head to head matchup between Yeltsin Goldschmidt going forward. Well, these two guys are going to headline their teams and. And you look you're going to play other nineteen times, and they're gonna come to hate each other. And but they're still going to obviously provide a lot of lot of punch lot of star power. It's gonna be fun. This is what makes this division. No. Even better this year. Even one player can make the difference. I'm Vic anybody new last year yelich who's going to make the difference. He did. But he did it from beginning to end a win that MVP four one four seven nine nine one six twenty the accurate mortgage, talk and text. I look at the cardinals team. And I know this brewers extra earnings, but we can. Yeah. I think the cubs are still a really good team. I think the reds are the most improved team in the National League. I don't know if that's good enough to get them into the top three in the central, but they're going to give some people some trouble. And then I look at this cardinals team. And I have a hard time finding many holes, and I look at a manager and Mike Scheldt who isn't gonna do dumb things like Mike Metheny used to do. I mean, just to the managing of the game for this cartilage. They're not gonna beat themselves. The way really the cardinals have been over the last couple of years. Yeah. They I mean, they went through an interesting year last year because you knew they're going to make a manager change. You knew Mathie had had run its course. And and the change they made was a change for the good at the time. They didn't finish his strongest they wanted to. But with the addition of Goldschmidt, we saw Andrew Miller out here for the first time late late in the game as well. He's going to pitch and some key situations out of the bullpen for them. You know, you've got a core. Coming back. Look what Molina's still doing sixteen years in the league. It looks like it's only six I mean, it's unbelievable. So there's still a lot of fight left in that team. And they're still a core that has had a lot of success. And and they've got some newcomers as well. I mean, the pitching matchups are kind of fun to watch in this series alone. Because you've got guys like tonight, and we're going to see again tomorrow night who are making their major league debuts pitched at a high level yet in the majors because they're still young. But we're seeing the futures of these pitching staffs for both of them develop here, and we could see them go head to head for a long time. Four one four seven nine nine one six twenty. That's the accurate mortgage talk and text line. Let's get to a Brad who's on hold. Brett, you're on WTMJ guys. Taking my.

Rocky's baseball coming up here in about seven or eight minutes. Ten minutes away from game to with Rockies in the Marlins. We were talking about managers and random brought up a good point about how many managers really and I'm a huge baseball fan. Mike you are as well. Brandon is too. But. The last year or two seemingly 'cause they've switched so many managers with guys. And maybe it's just a case that I am followed as closely as I should. But I bring you how many managers could we name? I'm not sure I'd get half of them right out. Throw couple at ya. Michael's already working ahead. He messed up. Rocco? Ball delegation, right before we went to traffic. He got the twins the twins. Rocco? Ball deli. The manager of the twins care. I would have missed that. Okay. Who'd you've guessed was the twins. Well after Paul molitor's. Paul Molitor before or after him Gardenhire was after think or was he before I believe was moderated the last one before ball deli. I think so sure. So I would have probably said, I even though I knew he retired. All right. Let's start with the. Orioles was not buck that would've been my guess. No. Buck was last year. I knew he got fired. K do you know this one? I watched him today. No right or yesterday you well Yankees yesterday. Oh, yeah. They try to watch him yesterday. They play tonight. Anyway, who's who's the skipper the Orioles? Well, they didn't cut very much because they were getting their butts beat. But that'd be Brandon hide. The Orioles skipper, Brandon. Thank you. The name. Yeah. I've heard the name, but we everything you know, about Brandon high. Well, I said I heard the name, okay. The name in your house, another one Chicago White Sox, though, I know that one. Go ahead. My Rick Renteria. All right. Good. Nice. Nice. Yeah. Okay. Is he related to Edgar do not believe? So. You don't want me to believe that he believe he is. Okay. Well, I'm sure there are more closely related than any of us. I mean sort of an uncommon name, right? Yeah. The Los Angeles angels of Anaheim has gone which I had forgotten about until I heard this. You know, this one I do know this one. And it's a it's a somewhat familiar name. He's been a manager before. A manager before his head any Rockies ties at all. I think he does. Yes. I don't know Brad Osman's. So. Yeah. Yeah. His manager for sure right? Padres. Look, I don't know. Brad osmose was the Padres manager Tigers tiger's. Okay. He played for the Padres the rocky and the Astros. Yes. All right. Okay. How about the Seattle? Mariners. I know that when you do I do. Are you cheated? I called like three Mariners games last child killed. Yes. I didn't know that Scott service who also there you go. How about the Toronto Blue Jays? It's not gasden. Wow. Not Gibbons, and it's not. John Gibbons used to be right. Yeah. This is. I've seen the name a household name. Yeah. Right. It's not at his house. So what is it? The legend the Canadian legend Charlie Mongolia is rewriting the book in Toronto Charlie Montolio on Tokyo. Montolio? National leaders. There's a lot of new manager Gina who the manager of the Mets. Well, he's been in the news a lot. So yes, I don't Mickey Callaway. Okay. Oh, yeah. Because that's here accused saying, well, just I mean, the Mets and the manager usually listen for the owners, you know, what I I wouldn't have got that one either who who is the older guy that was their last year or two years ago. I liked him a lot. He he managed now into his late sixties. Yeah. I know after Bobby Bobby Valentine, I can't I can't place. This is like an old hand. Pass the applesauce. Okay. We'll look up old method is Mexican that manager of the Saint Louis cardinals. That proud franchise. Yes. No. I know who that is. I've never heard of this person. You've never heard of him. Yeah. Like guys like, Scott service. I remember playing rockabilly remember playing. Yeah. I don't know. Mike and Mike Scheldt isn't that correct? Yeah. Yeah. You got me on this is follow baseball a little bit. This is bullshit. That was a slam. On your damn cell phone up googling the former Mets man, I can't think of that division would stay in in the Rockies NFL west division. Yes. Do you know who the new skipper for the Padres? Games where he's new. I think he's now. Now, I think he was there last year there, see. See I. You're a soccer guy at this point. Gosh. No, I can seem to Mike you Andy green. I wouldn't have got that. Yeah. And I also don't way Andy green the way the previous Mets manager was Terry Collins. I've damage and name Atlanta Braves. Who do you ask our pal Andrew Mason the biggest Braves fan? I know they're basically tanking. Do you know the Braves may certainly tanking like they're lying to fans. He was telling me this whole thing about they're lying to their family. I thought people are excited about the Braves kunia. Leadoff hitter. But you know, the Braves new skipper. I forget I forget his name. I I know what that's more than I have. Because I don't know that I knew his nail. I do. I I don't think he will. Oh, it's it's Brian snicker. Yes. Yeah. I would have I heard of him. He was there last year. Gotta get outta here. He's a manager of the year manager Cincinnati Reds manager indirectly. I believe maybe Rockies types, absolute guys. I think it's Pete Rose close. Mike. Bell buddy, son. How buddy Sutton? Yeah. All right. That is going to do it. And thank you very much for being with us Rockies baseball to.

"Which was the thing was not recording. I mean, I I'm sure my heart stopped like for real. If there was a heart monitor. I'm sure my heart stopped because you can be like, well, Tim, you can just ask them to do it again. And yes, and he probably would. Have. But then at that point. It's you know. And honestly, I I don't think I would have. So I then hit record as if like that was a terrible move. I mean, it was a panic play. Forty two years old twenty years in the business. Total amateur panic. Horrible thing. And and I think you hear it. Well, actually, no, you don't hear because this is where I hit record. And and I say what about Mike Scheldt that wasn't the question. But it was along the lines of Mike Scheldt, and he starts raving about Mike Schill. And and then he, and I said who does remind you of these Joel Madden, but Joe's a hippie. And he's laughing he goes, Mike, just a great communicator over and over. I mean, just couldn't be more a few seven his praise of Mike shield, and and it's not like shots at Mike Metheny, passive aggressively. It's just you know, it these praising Mike shelter. I mean loves Mike, shall I gotta tell you. I've been down here now for a month. And and I have yet. I'm dead serious. Not even like a slight. I I have not heard a person player former player management broadcaster. Reporter anybody say a negative thing about Mike show. It is it is insane in this business for that to be the case I'm talking about one hundred percent approval ranking now if he goes fifty and one twelve I I'm sure people will be lights. I Kim Anderson. It's like nicest guy in the world things didn't work out in Columbia. He's gotta go. So that stuff only goes so far, but I can tell you the players. Absolutely. Love him follow absolutely loves them. But for the purpose of what I'm talking about at that point. I'm like, oh my God. Not only to Edmund sitting here waiting for me. I blew it. I blew it. The one interview that I really wanted to do and I didn't record it. And then so we wrap up kind of like just all these up because I'm in my head. I'm a mess. I'm a mess. I mean, it's like if you ever play poker, and you go until or if you hit a bad call shot, and then it just compounds itself. And now, you're shooting, you know, triple bogeys and quad bogies because you're a mess. That's me at that moment. And so I thank Dexter. We be s a little bit. I get in the car with Edmunds, and we had out, and I didn't wanna say anything to him because how'd it go because it looked like he was really enjoying himself. And I'm like, yeah. Really was. And then Benjamin Hochman of the post-dispatch sends me a picture, and he had taken a picture of us doing the interview, and how Fowler was laughing and smiling and all that did was all add salt to the wounds, and I didn't wanna say anything to Edmonds. And it was bothering me so much. So much. I mean for real I I'm sure they're better than the the things that have bothered me in my career. Have usually been like business stuff off the air stuff. This one is straight one hundred percent broadcasting absolutely one hundred percent my fault. There isn't I guess I can try and blame Agee. But the man wasn't in town. He had nothing to do with it. It's one hundred percent on me. And so admits an iron on the driving range. And I said, I gotta tell you something, man. I'm just not. I'm not present right now. Because I don't think I recorded the following review. Oh, no. He goes, it's a nightmare. And I said, I can't I can't tell you. How upset I am right now. Now the way that we record these things is into a machine, and it's on a sim card, and since we're at a golf course, I can't check it. It's not like it's on my phone can go back to check it and. And so it's just absolutely in my head and it's a beautiful day. We're playing a phenomenal chorus amount there with Edmunds haven't. I don't even know if I've ever played I've never played like a replay scramble with them. You know, I I'm aware of the situation. Like, I should be no matter what incredibly happy in good place. And I think most people most people who are infinitely better than I am would have been able to overcome it. But I'm weak, and it was in my head in my mind. I'm going to go out and shoot two hundred and I don't even care because I'm so upset about the Fowler interview. And it's like I'm not going to go back and ask them to do it again. And

"Not hide behind things have everything, you know, especially with front offices. Now, I feel like everything is so behind closed doors, and there's all the secret formula this happening, you know, with the numbers, and, you know, all the different ways that that that stuff is translated the players, whereas brody's very much like, okay like. I mean, the fact that he's even active on social media. I mean, he's like so unique for that position. Honestly for anyone in baseball. I mean, look at players I mean, some players are. But for the most part, the sport is very much like anti public view. So it's different. Again. I'm not saying this is the formula that every jam has to do. But this is definitely Brodie van wagon. This is who he is. And this is who the Mets knew they were getting whether it works. I don't know. But I I'm definitely excited to see him. Push the envelope in ways that just haven't been done, especially recently. You are in Braves camp you around Brian snicker the Braves manager, I think on our second broadcast Sunday night group is going to do. It's going to be the Braves Phillies could be Bryce Harper's first game in the Phillies. Uniform I've gotten some I've been around him a few times, I've always been so impressed with what a good person. He seems to be an how he seems to connect with people that great humanity. Kinda reminds me of Mike Scheldt of the cardinals where they're just such a you know what I mean? I just seems like such a normal person. I think the players really respond to that. Yeah. I think I sent it was the word I had to go. The the thing that I think just spending just a good. It was awesome. Because campaign started yet. And I just kind of kick it with him and his office, and just you know, agenda just introducing myself introducing himself, we we have them on Sunday baseball, the first three of the four weekends. We've got the brave. So you know, this is to me like a team. We haven't had I've never covered them, you know in a game. And so I just wanna know him and his views on this team where they're you know, coming off a division title..

"But there is an individual two, boys. There is a massive occurrence on Friday night, medium impact, Brian's loss, Lomas nights, traveled to mill valley to take on my Tam red tail comb, Murph all of us are coming over. He blew a thirteen point lead and lost to them, Las Lomas. Drove across the Richmond bridge. He will often Kate even though the game was on textile. I didn't even know man. I text them because I was watching on Instagram solid. I was watching it on Instagram live, and I was bombed. I was like, oh, what a bummer we live. We both thirteen point lead. Well, Las Lomas now earns a bid in the semifinals against m c h Adam. Catholic. So it's copes as Moreau Catholic against MIB's. I'm getting the feeling like the whole set. The I said, I just stirred it up. I was like you two need to go at it. I said I'm installing Moreau as an eleven point five Siamese fighting fish hammered. I went right on he said, I'm on Marrone. I'm giving them eleven. And. In texas. I said the early money went so strong Moreau. I'm readjusting align to twelve and a half. I said I'll Hamrick take twelve and a half. Yeah. So Sando on it. So it's a twelve and a half point spread on tonight's Moreau Catholic, Lois. Yeah. It sounds like benefit Tommy's kind of forced into this. Like, he doesn't even really know. Maybe care quoted Travis Scott, though, he's really like High School Athletic. He loves daddy says the dog, isn't that from whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So let's go Frank night morale. So tonight, if you guys need a little need a little action, it's copes given twelve and a half to Las Lomas. Wow. Where where the steak sandwich from where could be anywhere. Oh, oh, no. We're going to lose lose sandwich spots over here on pine. Okay. I don't know it. Good spot. We'll go over there. Every once in a while. We'll kind of stuff to they have a loose. Everything had a everything has been packed. Brian is usually a question very rarely do you get a statement? I'll get questions via tax and a lot of times this late like ten thirty on a Sunday night on your what's the best Beatles album. I know like random stuff, I'm like, dude. Talk to me tomorrow curiosity of that kid is second to none. So anyway, the the Padres are now the number one free agent spending team in all based Hodge raise through Lucas Padres. Lucas. You know what I'm saying? Look at a competence Padres too. Yeah. I'm gonna make a call right now. They don't win the west this year. Who does dodgers? Okay. I'm sick of that. Remember when two thousand fifteen sixty nine camp and shields and all those guys and everyone thought they're gonna win the division. I brought this up yesterday. What happened? I think they blew up halfway through the year. You never know where they got no pitching. What about the giants going out there and win in ninety games for Boetsche? You know? Got quiet in here. Have we not added camp Cameron mayb into the mix and not prime Mabon? And there was one other come on. Solarte's that happened when we were here. We did we did talk. Let me just say this. I'm just gonna say say far is the genius, right? He's the next gen and I'm on board. Although I have to say. No move to small Mark gonna confess. I'm gonna confess that the thought of a Mike Scheldt pencil-pushing coming in here and this team becoming a bunch of maximum tees and all that is I'm a little bummed. I'm a little I'm sort of getting a little nostalgic for the old Peter McGowan, I need bonds. I need dusty. I check back if they win I'll be in. I'll be in. But I will how about this. If Bobby Evans signed Cameron Mabon drought apar- for his outfield. Would we be ripping them? Thirty both guys are north of thirty. I guess the big reason why we wouldn't be amazed because four hundred at super cheap super cheap. Yeah. Bobby might have given them three years thirty million Murph when you say pencil pushers. They're the kind of guys that Bobby Evans brought in they're done. Right. But he spent that's the that's the point is is far Hong getting those guys if Bobby didn't paint him into a corner with the contract. She has right now. I feel like the guys four homes going to bring it up, and they might not be good baseball players. But that'd be really good. Maybe they can help my kids with their calculus. We're going to be doing a tutoring program, which you guys see some are quote. I have it on a did you guys up right now? He's. He said you're going to see he said Boches the last of a breed, you're gonna see thirty puppets out there. I know what he said there's some bad blood out there some anger now come into the surf, by the way, the word is smarter looks good. That's what I'm saying. He's throwing like full steam to. I'm starting to get a like a swell of pro some feelings, and maybe what we've been waiting. Now, we need to turn like where we're going to get like the angry van rocker roller more. Because he's he's ticked at the whole sick of all of it like the openers. He didn't like to change because he sees it as two things to affronts to him one. He's his contract is being used as the example of a contract you never give anymore. So he's probably a little little wounded by ripping my contract. I'm Jeff Amarjit. Can I get a little lover into? Yeah. He prides himself in being the seven eight inning guy. And they're saying we don't need that anymore. He said he has eight hurdles to hit this spring. Bullpen session. Heavy bullpen session. Lied BP session. And then five cactus leaks starts is the first one. Yep. And he got his first APMT's anything he felt very over hurdles one see him pitch. And we're down there. Probably will they said they might give him one of the first five day pitch. We'll see them by the way, this coming Saturday last Saturday was the last Saturday without baseball until November. It's pretty good. I like that we have every from starting to think about that. When you started with. I don't know if the giants will be playing until November, but somebody with somebody and then Finally I teased it. So we got to deliver after all this according to fill material in the chronicle. The raiders will be playing in all likelihood back where they started years possible. Oakland Coliseum was we'll get extended stay sometimes you got to travel far to find home as where your heart is home. Sweet home, the journey leads back home here. He is according to fill material announcement expected this week or early next week put the pies on the windowsill Malla coming home. Oh. It is this year, and maybe even twenty years stadium opening I thought it was. Construction delays. Maybe zoning in Vegas. Forget about it. You need the likes of a Pete from almost kind of happy for my.

"Oh, Hello again, everybody. It's just that quick. You can be sitting here. Reading in the next thing. You know, you're doing a little presentation. Hello again, friends, Tim. It's great to be back with you, Dan. It is wonderful to be back. Especially now that we are in Jupiter Florida for the hot stove show, which is Morphing into the spring training show with Dan McLaughlin and myself, presented by mattress direct live from Jupiter, Florida. Hello franz. It's great to be back. Baseball is here. We've got a great day. Weatherwise agers degrees. Yeah. It's hot today. Pitchers and catchers officially reported. No hang-ups players are here. Most the players position players are here. We were talking before we started the program. I guess the only ones I didn't see and they don't have to report I guess for another couple of days. I have not seen Dexter Fowler. I've not seen jet. Jerko? Unusually historically those guys. Come in usually a day or two before the official report day for position players. But in terms of pitchers and catchers everybody is here. Everybody's healthy no ups and camp is off to a good start. So looking forward to it. Yeah. Looking forward to it as well. This camp is is different than than years past. And and Mike Scheldt, I think is one of the factors in that. It was talking about that with Paul the youngest couple of hours ago as a matter of fact, and he was saying that there's a just different energies the way he would describe it to this camp versus previous camps. What is your sense on the way that shift will attempt to run this camp versus previous years? Well for me. I mean, I I've known Mike for a long time. And he's a bright guy. He has run before a camp that has had just minor leaguers, and I go back to the point that he made longtime ago when he was running the entire minor league camp. And he went. Tony the Russa Joe Pechiney Dave Dunkin he walked into that camp that had them running the major league camp. And he said to Tony in those guys. He said I'll just get out of the way. What do I need to do? And they those guys said to him. Well, you know, we we want to help you in any way we can. So you know, we're here to help. And basically what happened was? He saw how a camp is run from their perspective. And then had the entire minor league camp that he ran. So he's been around for so long that and he's been thinking about this for so many months. You know, what do I need to do? What how do I run a camp? What do I want to get out of it? What are the themes of every single day? Do I have a championship team? Do I have what is it like to close out of the be standing on the mound theme? What's it like to catch the final out theme all those things? And he's going to have a theme for every day in a guest speaker. And let's worry about double plays. Let's get back to fundamentals. Let's get back to base running. He's got those different things. Excuse me that he wants to I think in part every single day. But I I can tell you one of the things that he wants to work on very very hard on is getting back to the quote, unquote, cardinal baseball way, which is fundamental and base running. And I know that's a point of. Uscis in this camp. And I think it's gonna start on day one. So the things that really fascinate me Tim in this camp would be number one Dexter Fowler. Number two. Alex Rae has talked to Alex today about his health. He said he is ready to go. He's excited about you know, how his body feels whereas shoulders at where his mind is at how his daughters feeling I mean, all those things he said man, I'm just ready to go. I feel great. And I think number three would be. They have ten starters potentially. That could go on anybody's roster, including the cardinals hot does that all fall into place? So how does Mike Scheldt manage all those things in this camp? I think it's fascinating. And when he think about the the ten potential starters that means that everybody's endings in my time doing the games..
