in if you just stumbled upon our happy state I don't know how you did it I don't know how you got here through all of the you know freeway Gustavo and whatnot from our neighboring states good grief but we're glad you're here if you're still going to show in the promise show when you're at your local here Hey we've been doing this for about seven years we're glad you found us we like to play we like to talk about all things outdoors and we did not play along on social media as well Facebook dot com forward slash the Goshen with Mike Russell and on Instagram got to go show with Mike Russell so please go give us a like follow along with tricky but the content as fresh as possible last week I mention what time of things we can do things we could do and eight not your time of quarantine the time of covert nineteen and ways that we can get outside and once once we get outdoors what what are we gonna do in or out there what what kind of things can we try because they show here is all about trying new things this show was all about welcoming people with open arms and haven't tried it hiking biking hunting fishing camping any of that we just say here come on come on honey we got you matter of fact we're gonna talk to Danny devries a little bit later and he isn't actually just a few moments and he is going to tell us about his show origins which is on the sportsman channel any kind of has that same vibe like you know tell me where you started to tell me how you got into this tell me tell me Hey Dennis we can all start our outdoor origin stories this weekend if we want to this week if we want to and when I was talking about last week I was talking about you know maybe go get a camera I didn't get a used one heck I have one for sale like an old Nikon type camera well one of the new kind of cool ones I know your phones are fantastic get involved just a little bit and I was talking about get into outdoor photography nature photography and play around like that or maybe maybe you had a drone in the closet and you're like I just don't know what to do with this thing I really don't and I'm gonna give you a bit of encouragement up front and then I'm gonna have some cool tips and tricks on the back end of this okay so so so would play along with me if you will I I am the type of guy that will get something like that get something like a drone and realized oh my gosh there's a lot to this Thursday this is not as easy as I thought it was going to be I thought it just you know see everybody doing it look so easy and maybe I was walking in and maybe deal cool like three sixty around what's really intimidating the way it's kind of windy outside of mine I want to do that you know in they need it you just let it sit in the closet if you have a go pro if you have a drone or if you have a camera like I was just talking about or if you just haven't seen the cool stuff that your iPhone or your smartphone can do it's time what a great time it's now time to say okay I'm just gonna learn I'm skinny just get after one of the things I learned about when I learned when I was living in the Midwest is this attitude of just okay start and get after it like I don't know how to mend the fence line you know to do today I'm gonna mend fence line today I'm gonna figure it out I'm a learn how to do it I'm gonna gulps gonna start in it was it kind of like a it was Missouri so the show me state like okay yeah you can invest one jump so I'm gonna show you it might not be great but I think you are going to get right after it and if this is a good time to to start that kind these get after just start why not intern beans is learning video editing and and she just gets frustrated and I said okay frustrate play around the mess up as with the delete or the back button is for just have fun get in there and play with it played different sound effects play with different you know play with anything you want just have some fun place new intro music learn how to put music in there learn how to edit the music in a just just for playing just get in there and start getting your hands dirty get that drone out and just wants the dang thing and just start moving it around and see what happens take it out when it's little breeze outside and see how it performs yeah I'm telling you take the go pro out and start messing around with it you're gonna get some pretty cool stuff and it takes that so I think one of the biggest barriers to entry in videoing and filming our outdoor adventures is the backend is having all of this all of this video all of these pictures and then now what that's the second step that's that second jump into getting after it that's that second pop into you know I'm to launch the software I I think what I paid for this I think it was like twenty five Bucks and I got to adobe programs now I have the adobe suite but I had the adobe programs it was Photoshop elements and premiere elements so it was just the basic version of Photoshop in the basic version of their video editing software if your mac person you have you have iMovie already on your stuff and by the way if you look at the the bromance my one of my other radio shows five fifty got care of why I a six to seven on on on Saturday evenings the videos on our social media rob hunter does that all on his iPhone he edits that stuff on his phone he didn't employ around he doesn't put it on a computer his name keyboard not mouse he's just just put on around there with his thumbs and then home and the only way he learned how to do that is to just start doing it actually came out of necessity we needed to get something like up real quick and he said okay let me just do it on my phone and it was it just this attitude of okay I'm gonna go I'm gonna go right now I'm gonna do it and that's the side that's the thing you have to do you have to get in this video editing software to start messing around tool around clocking around making garbage and then it starts getting better then it's less garbage then there's less garbage he right is less garbage G. term we're yeah we're gonna go.
