"God. I'm not going to change mine. I had bucks by 9. I think this has to be out of the teaser zone. You know, it's 13. Oh my God, that's stupid. Maybe it's not stupid after watching cam try to complete passes. Yeah, I guess you have to think of the other team too. I said 8 and a half. So you get that anyway. Good for you. Do you think when they have the QB meetings with cam? They're like, no, it looked great. I guess the one thing I might work on is like when the guys open like throw it to the guy and not to the ground and don't throw to the other team, would be my two notes. He's like, yeah, I'll get back to you. I'm working on my celebration answer. He's like, rewind my celebration dance. I got a four yard scamper into me somewhere. It's so funny when they're in the 5 and you just know the QB draws come in. The other team is surprised every time. Of course, they're going to have one move. Nothing left. Sunday Night, cowboys, your cowboys. Our home for the Washington team. I would have said 8, but I'm sticking with my teaser strategy. I think they make this 9 so we can't tease this with anything. I lose this again. I said 11 and a half and it's ten. You were closer. I had it straight. It is weird with the cowboys and chiefs. Like they're doing it with defense. They're defensive. I mean, not the chiefs of that charges game necessarily. But we beat up, we beat the hell out of Jake fromm and who was the other guy? Mike Lennon with the long back. It's nice to not have to worry about the Giants game, anyone. 21 6. That's why this whole thing that chargers were saying, I scored touchdowns, given the chiefs. It's like, oh, that sure. Not this cheap stream. Maybe just try to get points and control the flow of the game. Monday night sucks, saint staff and two of us Taysom Hill, two of the gimmick cubies that we have. You could say loser leaves town here. Maybe fun. Okay, loser leaves town. 7 and 7 for 6 months. I feel like the dolphins are already like, they're packed in there at the bus station. Yeah. Saints by three. And you get this one. Wow, this might be the, this is the most lopsided week we've ever had. I had two and a half, it's three and a half, two, three, four, 5, 6. Ten 11. 15 to one. And patriots. And the Patriots was the one I got. 13. Wow, we've never had a good. Listen, tomorrow's a new day, so. I can't take it. It's too much to listen. I'm doing 6 podcasts a week. I'm like, oh, we gotta change that. We gotta re edit that because Locke is not playing. Oh, I said something about this guy playing. We got to take that out. I'm dizzy from all this. You need to bring. Listen, tomorrow, you have two COVID football games. Back, things are looking up. Cowboys are playing well. I'm gonna ask Michelle tafoya where she was hiding because I may have to go there. Why don't you have her on a pod? That'll be great..

"Group and one of them is character which is a danish design company and they were showcasing their whereas within this logic scene of space and it was pretty spectacular. So i spoke to christian elving. He is the ceo and founder of character and i chatted to him about a few new pieces. I think we might be running out of time nick. So let's just. Let's just hear the peace standing in the cooler of the casinos showroom historical showroom and via tarini so we are upstairs in the famous stone that has been decorated by potential jeweler previously by castiglioni and many of the big stars officially can give a bit of background on. I guess how character ended up here the history in of the brand itself where it's at today my business partner and i had the idea for a no nationality furniture brand back in two thousand eleven but at the same time founded a company called league reportedly so it became more of an idea something we couldn't execute and then four years ago we sold linda porcelain in order to finally focus on the design rights. We had the possibility to get our hands on and and do our brand which is based in denmark but have much more international outlook than than what we've probably used to from. Why was it so important to kind of leave behind this danish identity and create something. That was a lot more international. Because i think if you're new nordic you of course have a great possibility of have affordable luxury. There's a big focus on danish design but at the same time. I felt that what we wanted to do. Or what what the world needs is. Just good design. That's it so we didn't want to have the restrictions off being either new nordic. We didn't want to do a brand focusing on the architects off the mid century. Modern wave of denmark. We just wanted to have basically no constraints and say let's go with the design that's so the designers all the stars of the show not the story behind it not being new nordic or anything just no nationality with that was This is what we felt. We needed to do what we want to. I guess one of the key pieces that's being shown today really represents that it's by a greek british designer. Who's based in london. The pieces made in italy. But it's under your brand labels or could you explain this furniture. Auras michael and i mike lennon dusty addison. I we've known each other for handful of years and for michael was interesting. Also to work with the brand really had no nationality. Either michael. he's to sign a very much just going with with a feeling as well needs to feel right for him and for us to work with michael. He's he's one of the big stars today but he's been on a path where he was also doing his own thing. Not looking too much. At what the market wanted but going with what design needed to be so it was a perfect match. I didn't want to ask him too early. Our friendship but now being part of the lashed design group. It makes perfect sense because what they know to do is office really will for sure and like you say it's something the market needs. I mean for someone like myself. I don't live in a massive villa. Where i can have these beautiful. Huge italian couches. I still wanna lovely sofa far. But i have a limited amount of room in this piece kind of answers that right. Yes because it's the seating death sixty centimeters so we're not talking typical super sofa from italy which talking equality on a comfort which is very talion but then it also references the type of self. We have in denmark which are not these shoot. Sofas we're leaving apartment. We have smaller homes. We don't have palazzo. So so very much cater to to the way i live the way michael lifts and i guess the way most of us and then let's maybe zoom a little bit and look at celona dumber blame. Milan design week as a whole. Obviously it's been shifted to september due to the pandemic. But now we're here at the press preview lies that's important first of all to have the event in september and for you. What does it mean. I think there is people. They really need to get out and then mobile caller. You have skin hunger. You need to see people again and at the same time do feel this creative energy that has been building up inside people so i think for us to show it for us to talk about for us to engage with with people. This is how you normally work with furniture if you do it from your office and through teams a lot gets lost so being here talking to to you token to to all the other design aficionados that are going to to milan. It feels like it's a better celona than it has been for many years because you really feel people wanting to go out and experience again so i think this is why it's necessary to do it now. For sure i totally agree just finally for people that want to come and visit the showroom. What else do you have on offer. Can you give a very very quick tour of the selection for twenty twenty one so for the selection that would be voted care starved to show. Casino launched three pieces by her in that collection. We have our principal dining collection From bottle and our office desktop relaunched years back and then we also have until manatee our first piece of furniture from him. We do lighting but now we have a piece of furniture dining table and allowance table on show here which is an amazing marble table. Typical for maharaja. It's a piece of architecture. Small-scale christian elving there. Now nick wizardly going to wrap it up. But i'm just going to quickly ask you before. We go three things that people have to do and see when they come to milan or would definitely go with the space. That amazing and we're worth checking out the other one. I'm going to go see. So i'm not one hundred venture of this a hit yet but i think it will be a kengo. Karima installation university of milan. That looks these amazing scopes reform a on just to see in that context again. It's in another courtyard. And then finally i mean i think you have to drop into us here at rossignol. I'm not. I'm not just trying to plug our own work but i think it certainly is an amazing space and i guess the one thing i will say is i think the the beautiful thing about design week. Because it's not just about showrooms showcasing their wares like. I normally would eat about having a space that offers something more. So for instance here at about rossignol also about using that furniture and that space to create an amazing pop-up radio studio which i think we're all enjoying for sure my thanks to monaco's nick minnie's next week we will another special celona. Show do say tuned for that. Today's show was produced and edited by mainly evans with editing assistance. From jack jurors and chris a-block wa. I'm nolan and i'm nick moniz. Thank you very much for listening and goodbye..

"Thing. That means something to them and here. You are just injected into that. And being the person that that i happen to be here or whatever totally yeah definitely it was a moment But i will say like just in general. This pride month in national was a whole new wave of love and acceptance further community. I mean i've never seen like this before. And i think the twenty twenty had a lot to do with it just because we all had a moment to like be in our own heads and go like why. Why do we have one foliage tour people. Or why don't we dislike somebody because of the color of their skin like do any of us really have this energy anymore. You know like energy to hate somebody because they love you know. So i don't know i also think you know. Tj osborne of others. Osborne came out. And louis rose is new on the scene and she's out and i came out this year and it's just like this visibility of artists that the country music fans have been seeing for years. You know. I put on my first radio song five years ago and brothers osborne. Have you know been out for seven years in you fall in love with these artists who you know right your favorite songs and sing your favorite songs. And then later you realize that they're clear and you're cool levy just much as i did before sounds great or oh my god i love you even more like i feel like i know you more and i just feel like this. Visibility of queer people in this industry has awakened so many different like country music gatekeepers and just like important parts of this industry that they're like okay we're awake. We see what's happening like. We wanna be a part of this way if that's happening and introduce you know hopefully Let people know that they are welcome here. And i think that that just allowed this pride month to be something so different than ever. You made the decision to come out When when you said this year when month yeah Well you know it was. It was kind of like little by little. I put up pictures of ryan. Then girlfriend i And but in january. I honestly was just trying to figure out how to use tick talk. And they're like know. Put some stuff up a you know about your life thing kind of how you got here in just like put pictures up and it turns it into a video was like okay cool so i like started putting together like these pictures of hillary and i in of me out on the road and kind of just like explained the story of like how i got started and then the my life who still happen to be a girl and we fell in love and i was told that i couldn't we couldn't we have to keep our relationship a secret and or otherwise i'm gonna lose my career in now we're on the other side of things and she's about to be in these music videos. That are coming out. So i kinda hold your horses like you know. Get ready for this. And i did this as like. Let's just see what take talks. All about and posted it on newstalk went viral. And then i'm getting phone calls from my labeled it's like oh so we're doing this now and i was like. Yeah guess we are. You know like it's time. I'm about to put out this music. It's all centered around love and being a romantic relationship with my girlfriends. And you know we're about to put out these music videos. That is me and my girlfriends. Like very much in love so Yeah i think we should probably let the people know you know. We should probably like mourned. Warn the people who like he listened to my old songs. That leg this about to happen like you know. Let's do this thing. So i guess january is kind of you know when that video went out and then my knees started coming out in february and the music videos that went along with it. We're like you know me. And hillary in the music video so then it became like a very clear. What made you make the decision to use your actual partner for those videos Well first of all she would've like absolutely killed me. If i was in a video with somebody else you know like it just. I can't imagine being in a video with anybody other than her. And like you know. The songs are about falling in love and it was just so clear that it had to be her. I mean the other option would have been for me to kind of narrow. And then there'd be like another couple but for me it was important like there's there wasn't a lesbian artist lesbian country artist at the time and i felt underrepresented in my own genre of music. And i'm like well other people have to feel underrepresented as well if somebody's going to do it. I waited around for so many years or somebody else to do it. It's not happening so a modest will be like maybe somebody else's waiting for me to do it you know And also just felt like you know. The first time i put out music i was dating her and i wasn't really allowed to talk about that and it just affected me in every single way. I like dot really bad ulcers in my small intestine in had all these really bad health issues and etcetera. Oh terrible ended affected my life in every single way and i mean it was just toxic for my body was toxic for my mind and i just knew that this time around if i was going to put out music i had to be authentic because being somebody else wasn't working for me and i read this book untamed mike lennon doyle oakland Front oh i love her so much And just like she has this paragraph about integrity and explains it and just like a very black and white way. But i guess i never really thought about it in the way that she put it in.

"So Mark Sander if I asked you your Super Bowl teams as we sit here a week away from the Bears opener against the Rams. If you had to hazard a guess. You have to in mind when I want from either conference, obviously, uh, you know, No, not not at this point. I mean, I You know, the whole prediction game is just Really hard to get to this early, do you? No, No, no. The NFL the NFL dot com had their 16 experts weigh in on it. Because we love lists, and we love polls and and obviously you're exactly right. Tell me who's going to be healthy and for the entirety of the season, you know, dispatched from the homes, Yes, patch from homes and healthy. There's a reason the 10 of their 16. Experts pick the Kansas City Chiefs to be facing someone from the NFC. And interesting for all the hand wringing soap opera going on in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers is back. Obviously. Or of their experts have the Packers playing in the Super Bowl? And the 49 ers, who who have come up with the idea that we floated yesterday, Fred and I were doing the show, and I had a Twitter poll that gave Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo can be Cube Co Q B ones. And they did it last week in the in the regular, the pre season finale, where they were coming in, like every other play. It wasn't even one guy gets a series or a quarter it was within the series. They were shoveling the guys in and out. And it sounds like that. Kyle Shanahan and John Linzer are fine with keeping defenses on their heels and making them game plan for both, Um they're going to do it looks like they're going to do it starting next week. And of the 16 experts on NFL dot com. I think I've counted what five have the 49 ers facing An NFC team in the Super Bowl. So Trey Lance from what North Dakota State was was that was from south to one of the Dakotas. Um not certainly. Ohio State. But they're finding a way to get him involved immediately and it worked pretty well. And I think it's going to work just fine, moving forward. So Is that going back to the map, Maggie confidence, some play calling. Do you have confidence that that maybe could come up with A way to get Justin Fields out on the field for some snaps some series starting next week against the ramps. Brian, is that where he really excels in in doing, you know, very nonconventional offensive type place. Maybe you know what he has a lot of confidence in himself. Certainly year one because of our defense. Things look good, and we couldn't sustain that. You know, maybe that's where his brilliance is. I'm not sure it seems to me that it's biting off a little more than you can chew. Yeah, you know, as far as as far as us trying to Yeah, I would just like to see Andy Dalton succeed before we even consider something like that to come right out of the gate and do that. I think that's pretty well, that's as a bear's reason. There's a bears fan. You have to hope for that. Right? You have to you have to hope is not Mike Lennon. Two point Oh, that he only last four games and in your tongue. Gwen was making 18 million, telling him Take a seat Andy Dalton in one year $10 million contract. You can't you hope that he is the wily veteran who's not going to make mistakes, maybe not light up the scoreboard. But nowhere to put the ball No one to get rid of the ball. Know what he's looking at with defenses when he gets up to take the snap, you hope for all that, Um, but you know, Matt Nagy was and Ryan pace for both as very variations of the question, basically. This past week of when you know once Justin fields going to be ready, and when will you know it comes back to, uh, we were excited about Justin Fields, but you know, it's all about Andy Dalton and we have faith in and you don't Right. And did they say, uh, I didn't catch the whole thing will know when we know I love that answer than the one guess what everyone in that locker room knows when they know And I think that most of them know right now, who the better quarterback is in terms of potential and tools and everything else. Again. I I want bears fans. 3123323776. Are they the silent majority out there, saying that this is the right blueprint and plan that demand is on the right track here. Because initially, the idea was Justin Fields was not supposed to see the season the field all season, right? I mean, it wasn't a matter of while houses progress. And how is Andy Dalton? Well, did that ever really come to pass where that was mentioned the whole season. I don't recall that. That was well, They said it was they said, was the Patrick Mahomes plan, Right? And what did he do? He sat for the internal season. Yeah, You know why? Because the quarterback in front of him Alex Smith had a career here? Yes. And there was no reason to even have a discussion about pulling out much easier, doesn't it? Yeah, So if you can tell me, Andy Dalton is going to have a career year. Is that his career or anyone's career? Um, you know, maybe you have a different discussion. But it is interesting that could even think within the division. The Packers are still getting some significant consideration to be a Super Bowl team because of the presence of Aaron Rodgers for this his last season up in Green Bay, And if it is, does he have that much more urgency to Put the team on his back and lead them to the promised land. Well, can he do it, though it doesn't seem like he had a lot of support, and I find it interesting. I knew that he would play up there, but I truly do think it's his last year. With Green Bay or last year? No, no, no. With Green Bay is now the jeopardy job is reopened, right? Well, reopening a closed. I mean, they're probably have rotating guess not that I pay attention that much, But there's some trouble over there as well. Hey, just without drama, Brian. Before we get back to our sports conversation. We have your rock, Paul from which is a staple here on Sunday mornings. I'm Yeah, I'm Metallica. Stupid. I am not. You're gonna have to educate me moving forward here, Okay? Not not my cup of tea. Never has been. Um, so I have to vote president on your Twitter poll because Couldn't give you an educated uh alright Financial 30 years ago in in the summer time in the month of August, So we're we're little tardy on this, but in 1991 of music was in rock was pretty big Nirvana's smells like teen spirit came out that was kind of game changer. But right before that it was Metallica's black album, which is celebrating 30 years now when they're doing a big release of the album. Re release of the album, Extra bonus tracks like any artist does, and then they they actually are doing something else in that they're having other artists cover every song on that album as called the Black List, So they're getting, uh, like one of them. I think it's uh Wherever I may roam one of the songs that the poll is being covered by a combination of Elton John and Miley Cyrus. And Yo Yo, Ma. I'm not even kidding. Holy cow! Yes, So it's going to be wild. It's gonna be wild sounded but The Zanna rock poll this week is about the album and enter Sandman is certainly a song that, you know. Brian, even though you may not know it by title That was the big hit, so excluding that from the pole, but otherwise we're asking you what Your favorite song was, aside from Understand man from the black album celebrating 30 years around this time in 1991. The songs are nothing else matters wherever I may roam sad but true..

Aaron Rodgers Alex Smith Mike Lennon John Linzer Jimmy Garoppolo Trey Lance Matt Nagy Elton John Andy Dalton Kyle Shanahan Miley Cyrus Mark Sander Patrick Mahomes Ryan Brian Fred Metallica 18 million 1991 Justin Fields

"Bill your europe europe famous iconic neo conned european. Awfully quiet over there. Now i mean i look i respect. Mike lennon i've argued with him. Actually both about iraq and afghanistan where he was very skeptical of the surge. Actually you know seven eight. Which i think worked pretty well. I think he's i hope. Will we all have to think about this debate. This look at the history carefully. I would argue the surge worked pretty well in the sense that we got things under control. We then gave up the lead fighting role in twenty. fourteen I would argue that. The the situation of the last five or six years has been okay and it's definitely a lot was done in those twenty years. It's not nothing and that and whose legacy lives on and whether could lasted another five years. This is a big debate. Now of course by the status quo is unsustainable or not but anyway those things are hard to never going to be proven and probably not the most to something that historians are gonna have to judge. I don i hope. We don't fall into a rhetoric but was all pointless and wasted. Obviously foolish they were tough decisions made by different presents the different times At but going forward. I just wanna come back to this. I do. It makes a huge difference. Is where i hope. People don't have the attitude of washing our hands of it because look if there's slaughter in afghanistan three months now and throughout this country of everyone who not only cooperate with americans but every woman who set up Elementary school for little girls. Every person who tried to do something to advance social progress in afghanistan at all the stuff of the last week or two's going to be the prelude to really terrible terrible situation if it doesn't happen if the taliban decides to something they're interest if there's enough actual promise made in afghanistan that's not so easy to do now what maybe they could have done fifteen years ago if they don't make it easy for al qaeda simply setup terror training camps and so forth and expand over to pakistan. I mean there's a lot. There's a big variance of what's going to happen. So i think it's really important to this is not the end of the story in the real world at all in afghanistan or elsewhere and i think in that respect whatever we think about what happened at nine ten and it's very interesting and you guys were in the middle of it We need going forward to have the attitude of look. We do care what happens there. There's a range of outcomes which range from not great really awful do care what happens to the region. We do care about american credit and so it really needs. I hope the administration doesn't decide if maybe let's let's hope we have a great next two or three weeks. Get a lot of people out relatively not too much Trouble welcome. The taliban does go around killing too many people. Frankly and it's not too horrible. They can't just sort of heavy huge sigh of relief and say back to back infrastructure. Or now we're just going to focus on china so it's an ongoing issue. I mean i wonder you guys. I mean or just on this point You know one terrorist incident that was staged from afghanistan is going to create a huge Hue and cry but we should to your point mullen himself and i think we actually have that tape and maybe we should do a mash up of what mullen said earlier robert so we we should cheat him but mullen himself said look we went there to degrade al qaeda. We went there to bring to justice the The people who states that attack We did achieve those things. His argument was that we should have left when we got a bin laden that we should have wound down the operation. Then you also heard president biden said look. We should have gotten out ten years ago. We should have gotten out after they killed osama bin laden. You were there when they killed osama bin lachey where the chairman should. We've got out then i think. In retrospect yeah we should have. I don't think it was possible for us to just abruptly walk away right after we killed bin laden. Clearly we could have gone earlier than we did as i look back and In a lot of people are critical of the president right now. The president biden had it right back then. He was focused singly on counterterrorism and his advice was along those lines and he certainly said that and i give him credit for that fail. I think complete failure not clearly taking out bin laden was a huge impact in terms of al-qaeda. And what was represented there. I'm not inclined to to just lay it on. Yes it was a success or or it was a failure. I think were somewhere in between would striking is this society in afghanistan is different now than it was twenty years ago. And you know just the defiance the the the activism of women there and so on It's inspiring You know the the the issue was how much how much can we were. We willing to invest in continuing that in perpetuity. And how much more would we actually have to invest. Moving forecast binds point. I think it's probably true that we weren't going to get by with twenty five hundred troops. I think one of the lessons though. And i think what mullen is alluding to a lotta these in the excerpts that he says this interview is in uae if you look at sort of where. The american people are on these wars. They're there regardless in a i. I totally agree with you bill. I think there's a lot you know are standing in the world are moral our moral obligation all that stuff a lot on the line. I think unfortunately i think we all bear some responsibility for this. If you look at the president's that the generally talk about war in this goes this goes way back right This is sort of in our history. we tend to think that you can kind of gloss over or Or maybe say that things are going better than they really are And i think when the american people see what's happening on television and their leaders tell them they're turning a corner they're turning a corner or i think what biden really thought was. I had no doubt that. They sat in the situation room. In in march or april in in some members of the military tried to get him to change that date. My guess is that the joe biden said to himself. I've heard this lobby totally before. I've it before an i. He sat in that room for eight years as vice president. President obama and heard that you know things aren't going right now but next year things are really going to change and i think look at as we. We wind this down. I think it would be good to reflect on the whole twenty years of the war on terror and figure out whether it's historians or whether it's some sort of commission that kind of looks through the things that went well and the things that we did to degrade The capabilities of people that wanted to do great harm in the things that we didn't do well. I think it would be an interesting examination to educate the leaders. That are gonna come next. I'm not suggesting everybody has to be winston churchill but a a real dose of Of reality rather than Creating something that doesn't exist. I think goes a long way to keeping the american people involved in that success here. Here's a reality. I'm not sure that americans care that much i mean. That's that's that's the reality were you know and It was reflected in that embassy wall street journal. Poll that you mentioned because they did word clouds you know about what was what was most important to people. and afghanistan was not on it. You know it was on a kovic was on it. I agree with everything you said. And i think it's i mean i got like got things wrong and people. I followed entrusted. Got things i would say. What also has to put in that equation just on the substance for second pakistan which you remember very people being very worried about that pakistan's the dog that didn't bark in a certain sense for the last decade messed up plays not a government i admire. They double double double claus in afghanistan. They're pretty terrible. Way on the other hand. We don't know what happens if we get out in two thousand ten to terrorism in pakistan and loose nukes and so forth. So you just have to have a comprehensive. Don't by the way no that now making it all in judgment on these things. It's complicated but you know on. The politics have slightly contrarian view just on the american psychiatric seven fifty thousand americans served in the military in afghanistan. Some of them think it was unwise some of them. They're all proud of what they did. Some was foolish. Endeavor and authors think not But i do think this is where the rest come back to the refugees and helping those. Who helped us. So who stood up courageously there. Oh i've been struck his personality..

"This is this. This is elastic and Abdullah on ESPN 1000. Hard Abdullah tomorrow night around this time, we should know most of the bear schedule. Yes. Set to release tomorrow night. The Bears have tweeted out 6 45 central time. The release of the NFL has a show on the NFL network. ESPN will have programming around this well it leaks throughout the day Pro football talk has said that tomorrow morning that the first week of the NFL schedule will be released in the morning, right? Peter King is reporting that Tampa Bay will host the opening game. He believes it will be either with Buffalo on the road or the Dallas Cowboys on the roadside. That's a game so so we're going to get a lot of games leaked out over the next 24. Hours tomorrow night at seven o'clock. On television on the NFL network is when they will release the entire schedule. We will find out throughout the day tomorrow. Oh, yeah. Different weeks on the bears schedule. We will start to piece this together. But as a bears fan sitting in the position that we're in right now, having a quarterback on thrilled for tomorrow, if you like. What happens usually In a normal year. Is that the schedule release day is really big for those who are big football fans. But then you get a lot of skeptical people like Yeah, it's just the schedule. How could you say it's a win? How could you say it's a loss? We gotta wait until the fall. We got to see how it plays out, but really It's a day of hope. It's a day look forward to nothing really gets decided tomorrow, but we can kind of start to think about in our minds. How we hope this bear season will kind of transpire. Yeah, because we know the opponent's obviously we just don't know the order. And like when you look at the schedule, you break it down like lovey used to in court have got our first quarter. We got our second. What does love you do not with 17 games. You still have the first quarter, second quarter third quarter and extended fourth quarter over time. Do you do? You can you can ask him. Okay, so anyway, you look at it and you look at the schedule. You look at like the toughest. What is lovey Do Who cares? I just I listen. I cut a lot of money. That's where your mind you and I are into when we're interns. I cut a lot of lovey Smith tape and one of my favorite things is wrong with second quarter Of our football season. I loved it. I loved every second of it. Okay. The point is this We look at it and you're like, Hey, there's a tough stretch where they see the Packers, The Vikings, the Bucks, and then the Packers again like that's the tough month like you got to get through October like we'll know what this team is. How they perform in October, right? And then, of course, now being in Chicago with Andy Dalton and Justin Fields, you're going to say well If Justin Fields starts and he's good, they'll win this many games if Andy Dalton starts and he's not good, like if they start the season out with a tough schedule, and Andy Dalton Goes one in three. Oh, and four. Like, how soon do they throw Justin fields in there like you had. That's what it comes down to. When you're breaking down the schedule. Yeah, it's a meaningless day on the NFL counter. They put out the schedule. Everybody looks at the games like, Oh, my God. I can't wait to see bucks in and cowboys on opening night and then I can't sit, Wait to see bears opening day against this team and then All they go to Green Bay this this week and then you know what I mean. You want to look for the tough stretch? What is this team going to be tested the most? Is it before the buy. When is the buy? Is it after the buys it towards the end of the season are the game's gonna start to pile up? Do they have a quick turnaround? Do they have like a Thursday? Ah, Sunday game into a Thursday game until, like another, like a quick turnaround game or something like that, Because, remember that year they played like If I'd like four games and whatever it was, like 15, 3 games and 15 days or something like that, and they want him all over the floor era, and that Maggie was like this is what I knew this team was for real because we put together they played on things They played like Thursday night, a Sunday night and then on Thursday night again for Thanksgiving. There's like three games within, like 11 days or something like that, because they put Yeah, they play Thursday Sunday and then they played Thanksgiving. Um and they want all those games and it was great. It was. That was the year they went to the playoffs and lost a great season. Of except that the playoff loss but The point is it's fun to look at the schedule, especially with the optimism we have here now, with Justin Fields, potentially at the helmet, So you want to look for the nationally televised games. You want to figure out when the buy is and also for bears fans. We've been debating this all week. You know, based on who is the starting quarterback from the start? You want to figure out whether or not there's a soft landing spot for a rookie quarterback 4 to 5 weeks into the season? Whether or not there's a spot where you could see a couple of the opponents on the schedule, you see, Abi maybe an early buying you say OK? Giants Arizona Cardinals. Bye week. You know you have the lion's coming up after that. Bye week. Boom. There's the spot. Justin Fields Week five or week four, Wherever that is like, with Mike Lennon when he was here, and you had the Travis Key. The first couple starts. There was a bye week, right and you're like, Look, if Travis he's going to start they've got, like, five games and then a bye week and then Travis Keys going to start. That's a perfect you've got an extended off week. You've got time before this game. You're at home. It's a good environment, all that stuff. That's what you're gonna look forward. Justin feels that these first couple games right before we get the schedule leaked tomorrow. Over the next 24 hours. We will talk about it here on blocking of dollars. You know, for those who don't know this scheduled opponents for the Bears. We know who they will face. We just don't know in what order or what. Time Those games will take place s O. The Bears will obviously at home face off against Detroit, Minnesota Green Bay. They will also host Arizona. San Francisco, Baltimore Cincinnati. In New York so far on Lee looking at the home games, you know Cincinnati that should be an easier game. The New York Giants tough game last season. It was a tough game, but They have a quarterback who's going to be a little bit farther along in the development process, and Daniel Jones and then you know, Baltimore is a good team. San Francisco We're expecting to be a contender. Once again in Arizona, was a team trying to contend for the playoffs as well. So on the home schedule, Cincinnati New York Giants Detroit Lines are probably.

"He was also asked, And this is a surprising he was asking about Andy Dalton. Now before I play this. This was Andy Dalton when he signed with the Bears on March 18th. It told me I was a star. That was one of the reasons why I wanted to come here. And so every conversation I've had is has been that so That's the assurance that I've got. They also asked all that that press conference the zoom call if he'd be okay of the Bears drafted a quarterback. I think that Z kind of part of it. I've been. I've been the starter and help the backup throughout my career. And so I think it's what you can do to help the next guy. You know, we'll we'll see if that's the case and what we do in the draft, but No. I've got no problem with that. We all know what happened when they had Mike Lennon and then add draft day They moved up to grab Mr Risky. And Glennon was kind of taken aback. So they asked, could ask man, Maggie if he'd actually spoken and adult about this. You know what? Adam? I had two conversations on Thursday. I have one. Earlier in the day that just just catching up with, um, seeing how he's doing, but also just explaining to him that you know, there's so many different things that could happen. And, you know, I think that that's very important to discuss. Hey, way don't know. Even at that time. What could go on And that was great catching up with him. And then when we went ahead and moved up and got Justin later on that evening, I thought it's very important to talk to Andy. And just explain where we're at. Every one of you on the call, including myself, would probably want the same phone call to know what's going on Why it's going on where things are at. And Andy is a hell of a person and we built a great relationship already in the short time that we've been together and I just got too much respect for him and that that's that's just how we do things around here, and I think That I'm really looking forward to seeing him that be the best quarterback he could be, and he handled it, Azad True pro and he's a He's a complete team mate. He's a great person. On, but he's always been that way. So that's just kind of where we're at, and I appreciate that from him. All right. Maybe he's one for three now. But a Zafar is what Maggie said about calling him. I think that's a courtesy. Yes, that's fine. Sure. You know to have gotten approval from somebody like Aaron being all the drama that goes on like we're talking to the top of the show. That's when it goes too far. But I think a courtesy call to say Hey, This is what's going on. Um, it was kind of strange that they did promise him. That he was going to be a starter, right? Not knowing what's going to happen. I have no idea who they were going to get. But then again, they didn't say started for how many games right and he will start the season. Sure and add when Justin's Ready Hill. He'll slide on it. Hopefully, they won't have to rush it. You can still jump in talk some more bears you want 23123323776 were talk some baseball, white socks and cubs both winners yesterday that comes with a nice wind or the Reds. Interesting game all the way to the end. The White Sox gotta win in Was a tough one to watch. I don't White Sox fans want to talk about Tony LaRussa after first the first month of the season. How do you think the Tony LaRussa managerial situations working his second time around with the White Saxon earlier the week there were a lot of White Sox fans who were a little upset. And by the way, Larry Garcia is in the lineup today. We'll tell you the rest of it. We come back after this. You're listeningto, Fred.

"Draft night. It's tomorrow. It's going to be a very interesting round one with which bears trade up. Will they try to make a big move out of the people across the country thinks so. We were talking quarterbacks very early in the show very heated again. I got very upset by bears continue to deal. I love them so, but I hate the way I feel year after year. As they continue to just be right in the middle. You know, I want to love my team that course through my veins. I do love my team. That's why I could never cheer for them to lose. But like I want to love them, or like I'll always love them, But I want to be in love with them. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, I love them. But I want to be like passionately in love with it Like I want to celebrate. Sweetest day every day with my favorite We want that We want to compliment them. We want to say that's a good, shrewd move. Hey, that was really good. Scouted. That was good collaboration That was we were full of praise in 2000 and 18. Yeah, like yes, but But again, it's this big picture long term thing. Here's the way this whole start on Twitter, too. You know, I like to save the stuff with show I've been responsible, because, Well, I love this guy, too. At the Bears block. It's Jeff Hughes. He's my guy, too, Were mutual were mutual friends. We like each other. I think it was what I'm trying to say, your mutual friends when we're not mutual. Where would be like If that we have a mutual admiration for each other? I believe I like Jeff's content. I think Jeff loves this show. He lives in New York. Now when he comes to Chicago, he always talks about us. He'll stay at your house. No, he doesn't say I've not met Jeff. I don't believe And any but he always says You want a good sports radio show because you go to waddle into you know what, Jeff? I like you. I like Jeff, too. So I tweeted out earlier today when we were talking about Teddy Bridgewater. I don't think Teddy Bridgewater is that good. But you know, in just the grand scheme of how the bears worked through their quarterback process and their rush to go out and signing Andy Dalton their rush to go out and trade. For Nick Foles process their rush to go pay Mike Lennon $18 million. You know their rush, they couldn't wait for Mitch Strabinsky. No if they would've missed on Mitch, if they want to got nature at number three, and someone jumped in the two and they would have taken Mitch. They would've been stuck with my homes or Watson like they had to rush up and trade up from 3 to 2. To go get made some of this, Mitch, so I tweeted out earlier today said last year the Bears wanted to pay Teddy Bridgewater 20 million. They dead. The Bears wanted to sign Teddy Bridgewater. They did not guarantee him the starting job. So instead he went to go be the starter in Carolina, You got paid. So I said last year the Bears wanted to trade pay Teddy Bridgewater 20 million and weren't interested in Andy Dalton for little more than three mil this year. The Bears wanted to pay Dalton 10 million And not pay Bridgewater 4.5 million. It's just It's just so hypocritical and what changes from year to year. I get. I've seen Teddy Bridgewater play, but there that was their evaluation. So I'm not bent on them. Not getting Teddy Bridgewater. I'm not a Teddy Bridgewater. I'm not. I'm not an Andy Dalton guy. This isn't a singular thing, though. This is the pattern. This is this is everything that they do. And so then Jeff responded back to me and he said, Except they don't stink because I said, and you wonder why they stink. And he says, except they don't stake and they've been to the plaice to out of the three. Years, and these are insane narratives that have to stop, he said. So I responded Jeff there in the worst spot in the National Football League, which stinks. They aren't close to winning a title. They aren't close to getting a franchise quarterback. They have a terrible cap situation. It all stinks. The response he did. There was one more response. Yeah, well, you Yeah Jerk store called and they're out of you, He said 100% agree because they don't have a quarterback. But to say they stink is simply not true. To which I responded by saying, and that's why they stink. This isn't a Nate Nate thing. It's a totality of the organization. It's the processes that use. It's constantly hiring the wrong guys. It's one Super Bowl championship in 55 years. It's the lack of postseason appearances. They stink is an organization and I hate that. I love them. Did you know it was an awful night it for Chicago sports fans, Then Mother Nature really turned things around. Yeah, By the way, that episode of mean tweets brought to you by their your lawn. More. Four point I look again. I want to love them. This isn't about a singular year. This isn't about a singular move. Teddy Bridgewater, Andy Dalton. This is constantly is, Waddle pointed out earlier chasing their tail. This is they don't think it's right leg right and thinking it's there like whatever that means. Why would they change his leg, though? I don't know. I don't know. I'm not sure what? Why There's no good explanation for any really any of it. Again. This is this is thanks that has been built up over of course of a long period of time. As you have said a bunch like Struggling to find any type of long term answer. The most important position of sports is really hard. We've never had a 4000 yard passer. We've never had anyone throw for 30 touchdown passes. Like that builds into kind of the that adds to the to the ANC's that yes, I think you know the trivia question. I heard today you'll be able to get this. This is easy for you. In the modern draft era. Name the on Lee quarterback the Bears drafted to play 100 Games arm or in the National Football League. Of all the years they've drafted a quarterback in the modern era..

Mitch Strabinsky Mike Lennon Andy Dalton Jeff Hughes New York Dalton Jeff Nick Foles Mitch Chicago 2000 last year 100% Teddy Bridgewater 10 million 4000 yard Carolina 4.5 million $18 million Waddle

"To win a special prize. We play hoodwink we do it every Tuesday at 7 35, Brian, I'm going to tell a story. It might be the truth or might be hoodwinking you will find out at 7 35. Greg Newsome, that that dog that's that we'll see that that's a lie on Thursday, won't we? Hey, guess what. Patrick Finley in the Sun Times has the Bears picking Greg Newsome? Good for Patrick Finley in camp and you can have here, Captain. Break it all down for us. I guess I guess from this standpoint. Brian when we take a look at Ryan Pace and what since becoming only the general manager for the Bears, he's made some deals. The one deal that stands out the most is clearly Matt coming over from the Oakland Raiders. So is a blockbuster deal where you know Clear Mac, a premier Pass rusher. Comes over to the Bears. And so this is the same GM, though, that drafted Kevin White and Leonard Floyd, Mr Whiskey, and Roque want Smith, who is not bad by the way, he made a huge deal to get Mitch Travis Ke drove up one sleeping spot. Remember? I mean, remember, Lynch was out San Francisco. Say Hey, keep Chicago on the phone. You know you don't like don't hang up and they're willing to pay that price. What are they doing there and Yeah, well, we're here. I assure you, we'll make that deal. How many draft picks you want to give us? Okay? We're that we're done. Yeah, we'll get the paperwork all attended. It's not mean if you take a look at his trade, right? Right. Ryan Pace was able to trade for David Montgomery, the number 73 73 pick in 2019. That was around three trade with the Patriots. Now maybe the Bears get the best of that. Okay, That's not so bad. I think about your biscuit. I think about Darnell Mooney Mooney can't hear via trade Round five with the Eagles back in 2020 Darnell Mooney comes over via trade. We don't know if that's gonna pay dividends for the Bears or not. I like money as a nice possession receiver. Well, look, it's if Mel Kiper said they have to win now. Maybe someone told him something we don't know. Because we haven't heard that so If if, if those of the marching orders what he's going to do on Thursday, is going to be totally different than if they're just like, Hey, we understand we're in purgatory. And you know, we won't tell anyone publicly that this is a rebuilding year or any dollars, just holding the spot till we get a quarterback of the future. No, Everything's good. Don't worry. You and Matt Nager gonna be here for the next three or four years. So the pressure's off. Well, then you can act entirely differently, right? You could be conservative. You don't have to roll the dice. But this trade land stuff J seems to have lakes. I mean, a Chicago Tribune projecting now that the Bears are going to make a trade yesterday said, You know Chad Reuter out of moving up to number eight right to get Trey Lance Tribune has a moving up to number four to get Trey Lance and Trey Lance is either gonna be a grand slam, or he might be a single or a double to use a baseball analogies. Familias the highest upside if you talkto experts, or he has the lowest floor And given Ryan faces record You probably gonna bet on the lowest floor, but here's hoping if they make this Big deal and give a couple first rounds in the third round. If that's the going price to move up, the four might be three first rounds, you know? Nose and that tells you then they are in winter else mode that they were given different instructions. Then we heard from from Ted and George that he and Matt were told you better be in the playoffs next year. Or you're out the door. So Brian and I want to find out from you bears fans on Twitter and instagram at Cabbage, a hood and on our phone lines. 312332, ESPN 3323776. Do you think that the Bears expect to be bad? Do you think of household? They expect to be bad this upcoming season. So here's I look at it, Brian. So There's two schools of thought for me. One thing is, is that looking at the NFC looking at very closely? The Bears have the opportunity to get into the playoffs again this upcoming season with Andy Dalton. Whether that means backing in whether that means actually earning the 89 spot that I think they're going to be. I think they're gonna be 89 this upcoming season, so that might be enough for them to get to the playoffs. And again, That will be another step on the letter for for Ted for George for Mad Maggie and Ryan Pace, because that's all George cares about. He cares about trying to get into the postseason, which is important for a team that doesn't get to the postseason, very often, especially back to back. So there's one thing. The other thing is if the Bears are in for Trey Lance Say they are going to get a quarterback. Well, if you think that this season's awash what'd you think next season's gonna be with an aging defense and a quarterback? That's young. Is it to me is the same thing. If you get trey lands and you put him in as a starting quarterback, you're going backwards anyway with your offense unless this guy is special, and I don't know if he's special. Well when Mike Lennon was here, and it was Mike's here, right? This is my year. We heard that he kept up this Mike went in here and like you're $18 million Well, then lasted four weeks. It was Mike's month, right, right. And here's Miss Strabinsky. They couldn't wait to get him out on the field and then They couldn't wait to get him off the door. If if you're going to make a move up to 8 to 5 to four, wherever it's going to be to get a quarterback. I know that they tweeted out QB one and and you thought that his new deal nicely pressed bears out that uniform. It's gonna be and his month they're going to get Trey Lance on the field. You're not. You're not drafting this guy. You're not drafting this gun haven't set the full season. Unless I mean, unless that's how you're buying time, all those old on. So you're saying that the Bears are gonna lie to Andy Dalton. All my stars. They didn't want to Mike Glennon, did they? Well, Eddie said he wouldn't come here unless you had the opportunity to start and they were like, he said he would not come to Chicago or anywhere unless he had the opportunity to be the starter. Okay. I mean, if he takes off and it looks like he's you know, I was on a pro bowl track. Well, that's one thing. But, you know, I tell him to go count is $10 million in the corner. No big deal. It won't be the first time Someone had told a little fib in the NFL. Right? Hey, look, quarterbacks were drafted in the top five are on the field that it's not. It's not the old days where There there old clipboards, and they're running the scout team for three years and check back with me when they're 25 or 26. Well, All I know is that when I look at this depth chart in front of me with the Bears and just trying to refresh myself from what we saw last year, so so, Brian, I see here's the difference makers I see on the roster. I see Alan Robinson. Montgomery proved himself right when you didn't want to run the football Montgomery to me every time he carried the football, he goes. You know what? This might be my last time carrying it. I'm going to carry it. And I'm going to ride this MF until the wheels fall off, right? You know what, With Matt Naked coaching Mother Bank last time running, right? I'd like to run, right, right. I mean, so it's so it's like so Montgomery carried it like it was gonna be his last. So every run to me was aggressive, and I love that right because they weren't utilizing him in the first. But 68 weeks, but they didn't want to run the football. So and I like money I like commit is a tight end and so but now we get to the offensive line. I don't see the different than number one difference between the offensive line yet. I think that people turn a blind eye to and say, Well, you know that. You know, the season was fixed. It was much better. Is it fixed? I don't think so. I think that has a band aid on it. I don't think that there are cornerstone offensive lineman that you could say first. Sure those guys can be a Cody white hair. At us as a center. Alex bars off Eddie's back. I don't see the difference maker the offensive line yet. No, I mean, first saw you got to get the interior. The offensive line fixed with a couple.

"I think is caught in between it's not a it's not a prestige symbol unless you're in a major market even still nwa cells becoming that in a much smaller way but it is becoming like a cool thing to own. Moss clubs aren't really cool things down like there's no cash a in being the i dunno columbus crew owner outside of columbus. No one cares. I disagree with that it. it still. Owning owning a sports franchise it is still owning a part of the community. And it is also this is. This is the argument. That anyone that anyone's gonna make is that you're getting which would you would you not. Would you not argue that. Owning team mike lennon united would be cool owning a piece of l. Afc would be cool. I mean clubs. That are doing a lot. i now granted. I don't know how cool it is own. The colorado rapids arrested alanon. I'm saying this is what i'm saying the market. There's a galley. Yes but you know you talk about the new expansion teams. That have come in if you want to get in. On a sports franchise is right. Now you have to fight it out for maybe one spot in the nhl. Maybe you're looking at spending a whole bunch of money. That is probably already priced out right now. The reason is because mls is cheap. It's cheap ticket into it's cheap to to to buy a teen. You're getting in on something on the ground floor. You're getting on something that's growing. And i think that's what that's on the discussion that that that salmon and paul had on the show was. They are thinking far far into the future on this. And and you're you're seeing incremental growth in this league. Would you not deny that you're seeing in criminal growth in attendances crowds in john. C b not in tv. They're like ends and stuff is great. I'm a health and fitness guy myself. You bumping the guys at the gym and like Danny stuff is so good. You you're gonna make a smart ass comment, but I think you could stop that. The cult He's so good, and it's on the platform. No, I'm happy for Danny. So you can check out all the podcast there. The SP in Chicago. It was It was more of the same from George. Really? I mean, I think there aren't good answers. You know what When All the fans are mad in your co said yesterday. Well, what do you guys expect? Maybe you're right. The answers aren't answers. We like they're not good, because they don't really have any right. They can't tell the quarterback they're gonna get they can take it to have a couple of plans. A couple contingency plans is they start moving forward, depending upon what happens, I very much doubt they have the right mindset. Who put the proper football people in place to run that side of the organization. Anyway. Look, history has his born that out to this point, and we've gone through the stats or the data lot for everybody in the last couple of days. Since did go laugh instead, since it was fired in 1982, and that's sort of the last like kind of vestige from the Alice clan, right? I mean, because We've talked about the sun Mugsy passing in the late seventies. The old man was you know it past about 1983 79 for McGee 83 for pop of that They were the ones that brought Jim Finks and Jerry Venecia and didn't go back and so once did go left and 92, in which Officially sort of the McCaskey era began. You're not talking about nearly 30 years and seven playoff appearances. Three quarters of the time The Bears have missed the playoffs. They have one playoff win. I'm sorry. They have three playoff wins since 2000. They don't have any in the last decade. I mean, every every bit of relevant data tells you that they just don't know what they're doing, and they might not metal. George says. We don't meddle in football, but your height you and Ted are hiring people to make football decisions. And I don't think they know. I don't think they know what they should be looking for. I don't think they know how to identify the right people. And that's the problem with this organization. Quite frankly, they just don't stack up with the teams that we should measure them against. The teams like the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots, They do not stack up with them period. So it's disappointing and I don't think George has good answers. But he did come on. He really tried to butter him up early. You know, we talked about Sylvie's cancer diagnosis and always recovered and everybody's pulling for him on my goal, boys, But Sylvie didn't take the setting traps and just dropped. The guy would be like, Oh, man. Now I can't go after George. He's he's You know, you could I don't know. It's tough, but then he takes a shot at Waddell now, of course Georgian. Tom, Go way back! Way back. Listen to this If I could offer by way of analogy, your broadcast partner Tom Waddell. When he got into the profession he's in now. I think you would be the first to tell you You struggled. Geez, George. He's like, That's it. They're going after me. I'm going after that way. Wiles response that I twitch when that was going out with was you take the back way in back. Little good, kind of like scratches House offer this up. Anybody want to listen to the first two months of Mac, You're growing hair. The afternoon's alone when you just started, But we just started. You want to listen like May 2000 and one in June of 2000 won Well, that's I don't know how we stayed on the air. I'll be. I'll be as Frank and his honest that I can It was brutal, at times, brutal, dysfunctional like I went to school for this iced. I still think now, but I mean, I certainly start back then, like I mean that with the right way all stink. When we first got there, you could point to a fact. Like okay time He struggled early on, but that does not have anything to do with what you got going on being better. It's like, Well, you know, I could sit here and tell you that the sun does come up in the East and because of that. Our guys were trying to do a pretty good job. It's not related to each other. He was making a comparison about pace and Ryan and Ryan pace of magnetic kind of growing on the job and look at models grown on the job. Yeah, well, get better, that here's the problem with that. Here's the silliness with that. You don't grow on the job. You grow on the job that you've had before at the other company. They grew on the job, and we're ready to take that next step was to grow on the job. When you're an assistant. When you're there, you're scholar itself. Then when you get hired to do the main job, the big job You're supposed to already know what the hell you're doing. You're not still growing. Now you continue to learn because learning process goes on forever. You never stop learning car. Never. OK, you could go ahead. Say that, but know when they get there. They've already had two bit overqualified for the position. They had to put them in a position to get the big to make those big decisions that need to be made here is George on the organization trying to pick a quarterback. A Zafar is finally got. This has got Sylvie's question. That's good here. A Zafar is finding the quarterback George the list that Ryan Paces acquired. It's Brian Hoyer. Matt Barkley mic'd Robiskie. Mark Sanchez, Mike Lennon, Chase Daniel Tyler Bray and Nick Foles. When I read you those names why you pull Brian picked is kind of fit here forever. Quarterback A lot of second. You were breaking up there a little bit mark, but I think you said with that lineup of names of quarterbacks Right. I said Why? Why do you believe Ryan Pace is going to get this right? We think he's grown in the job. Yes, there have been mistakes along the way. But everybody makes mistakes. If I could offer by way of analogy, your broadcast partner, Tom Waddell, when he got into the profession he's in now. I think it would be the first to tell you You struggled. Um, but he got better Still, I am And the people that brought him on had faith in him. And stuck with.

"Ugly the nba about that start the segment. This way the other day. I was speaking with remember his name. He'd say right or out of boston. Humid wrote a book about maybe if the nba expands that. That's their stimulus package Brian win horse. Espn tweeted out. A couple of days ago that the nba is going to be asking for a two point. Five billion dollar expansion fee per team and we'll get to that in a second but let's go to the horn and let's go to the sunshine state with mario. What's up man. My brain by the way it was the name of that show that the guy was the frog show host that the mystery blind frog ranch. It sounds like something from encyclopaedia brown. Yeah can't wait to watch that iraq. And i was racking my head for the last time. We had a trade of that caliber of player. Are they getting rarer or my wrong about it. Because i really couldn't think of a guy and listen. It's early in his career but this is a hall of fame caliber guy right. I don't mean moving in free agent. I mean flat out trade. You remember when like that. yeah. I mean i'm sure there has been i mean when i think about big free. Agent moves harper machado. Unlike that but yeah. I'm sure trade. If you wait a minute wait. A minute was machado. A trade or not easy flat out and go well trained to the dodgers but then he was afraid. Okay yeah there there have been. There have been some blockbusters and if if if we if we sat down for five minutes. I'm sure we could come up with. I mean it's it's something that we can I mean like. I said we need news like that after yesterday. Yeah exactly brock. For milt pappas but you know pretty pretty interesting trae pretty sure. It was no package right. Yes yeah okay very good so you know what i have. I have what i think will be the model i was. My kid has gotten completed. The football now and her favorite players drew brees. And we were talking about quarterbacks and brady being old and i'm wondering if the bucks will adopt this model of just going to grab another won't be an equal braid. You don't get me wrong but just wait for some team to get tired of their veteran quarterback and cycle through them about every two years back next year. We get a couple of years to get matt ryan. Then we go after matt stafford and then after that sooner or later derek carr who i've always wanted to and pewter maybe eventually derek carr get there you know maybe sooner than later in the case of derek carr which would be strip range lee polish. Move if you ask me. He looked really good at times. This year man. Well i mean if you look at numbers but that's the thing that's always you know last year when i was on the raiders pre imposed my co host. I would go on and say you know. Car has better records than than anyone in the history of the team and and you know gannon was an mvp and stabler is a hall of famer and less touched. I mean less interceptions touch everything. But he's never played in a playoff game in my say but the eye test because he doesn't pass my test. But what i would say is like i know. He's not the best and i've always believed to have better but look around the league and eight felts and mike lennon's then you have to say look i know people say he's hot garbage bench him and i go for. Who did it this sean. Kaiser is that what you want. I watched him quite a quite a good number times this year. You know the the two point conversion rick that two point conversion heat through the waller was perfectly timed pinpoint accuracy decisive. You know i i've watched. The guy was for five years with very poor football placement. Who own interceptions left. And right you know. And i watched bought another guy. Look the number two player on your team is a fine young man. And he's a a solid good starting quarterback under the right circumstances. But i don't think necessarily there are a lot of guys in the league that elevate their teammates. And i think derek carr does i think he's capable of throws very few other guys if we're not very few but very few other guys in the nfl to make. I think quarterback is not the issue the issue is you can't spend the fourth pit. I watched this kid closely since you and i had the discussion about him for for challenge. Pharaoh's that pronounce correct spelling. I gotta tell your he's at he's he's just another guy. You can't spend the fourth pick on with the fourth pick. I think on the modern day gaines adams you. You have to get better than that. You simply cannot blow up. pick that hot. You have to get an impact player on defense. And i understand. Defensive lineman is very hit or miss because a lot of the worst what. They have to learn his technique. It's not just size and speed. They've gotta learn how to use their hands. They've gotta learn how to bend. It's really hard to spot the impact. I don't know how many people thought aaron donald was going to be this right but cash almighty where he doesn't do anything exceptionally well now. He doesn't let me ask you this as far as jameis winston and all the years there when when you see him on another team do you cop pull forum out of just this or is he persona non gravity So long as he's on another team. I pull for him. I don't want him anything anywhere near the tampa. Bay buccaneers because had the the the hard thing with winston. I pulled him. I want him to do well. I just don't think he ever will. Which is why. I don't want him on the buck. So it's you know it's the end of the end the dichotomy a man colonel. I always like full metal jacket though the reference right so that go but he's an he's in a really strange spot and i'll tell you why even though you didn't ask you why you look at your again looking mariota if somebody says hey. Mary look good that game sign up and they signed him and he doesn't work out alright. Mariota wasn't wasn't explosive. He didn't do this. He didn't do that maybe he got hurt. Some and you move on from him. But if you sign james and he throws twenty five interceptions everybody's gonna wag their fingers you. What did you not see. In tampa that leads you to think that this guy was going to be inadequate the blowback because of both his behavior and his crazy turnover rate in a bad look for. Gm you can take a chance on a nick foles. You can take a chance on marcus mariota. I think a very good. It could be a very good player. You can take a chance on a lot of guys like that. I don't think janus winston is florida that kind of latitude. That's so i do pull for him for that reason. I think he's going to have a rough time going ahead interest speaking to you earlier knowing your thoughts Ea with eleven wins and a playoff game. Saturday night at washington. If they haven't burned down the town do you still be a out or is it. You want him to stay. You just don't like him I don't know that there's anyone here's the issue. It took awhile boy. It took a lot of get everything straight with tampa this year with the greatest quarterback of all time arguably and maybe not so arguably at this point. I don't know that i want to restart again. I'm willing to put up his foolishness and his incompetence time management and and you know his course of you dinner but for those who have not watched the bucks. What is what was the quintessential bonehead thing that you.

"Cameron Great Pat Kanin. Interesting engineering cast of hundreds here. Jacksonville started 22 moving left to right. First down and 10 trailing 10. Nothing. Here's Glennon Field. He goes all That's a nice strike to show adults and all up in the 40 far sideline. He wouldn't go down. Finally runs out of real estate at the 39 yard line. Nice hook up in a game of 17, but he was a big part of that week. One success by Jacksonville. In fact, the whole rookie class kind of had a Playing it viscous should hold at a Colorado just caught that ball Deep cross and that's the best throw that Mike Lennon has made all day. Should all had five catches. 48 Yard Touchdown against duh bears last week. First out of 10 fold in Hollywood the hand off trying to cut it outside left breaks a tackle still going 45 to the 47. Get in the 48 yard line. Nice run, hard running. Nothing's easy with this ground game against the Colts Front four but a nice run by Ogan Bo Ali of eight yards broken while he runs hard. He's got a lot of moves. His war shifty than I would say fast or powerful. And so he gets out into space. Like you just did. He can spin and cutting, you know, that was a good run on first down for me. Second out of 27 16 to go in the first half. 17 nothing coats calmly in motion. Far side left play action fake again. Now the heat's coming little dump off Logan Balala yells out down low. London was feeling a lot of heat from that cold rush. Just got it away before he got hit on the ball was loaded, open Bow Ali. It'll be 32 they were setting up the screen and unique luxury came free. And really made night, Glen and back up in the morning backed up the weaker the throat became the yoga ball, so accepts up his third down. Come the Jaguars down 17. Nothing need a really good driver get some points on the board Open, But while he takes the handoff, he is stoned. You think he got a yard on the play? Going up the middle on third down and to your Jackson, go what you do down 17 Nothing near midfield. Well, he was stoned by Grover Story inside. They didn't move, but I believe if you're tucking her own right here. There's no choice when he got to lose your job. That's probably coming tomorrow. Anyway. Jay Gruden is the offensive coordinator, of course. And so he's got a little place Heat their fourth downs, trying to cross midfield for the first time today. All right, here we go going for it. Fourth down one at their 49. Jacksonville down 17 to nothing. 11 takes the snap rolls near side, right throws up fielding, complete play never really had a chance. I don't know if he was gonna take off and run if he was gonna just try and find somebody that past personal Broken up. That's a turn over on downs, and the Colts will take over to Jacksonville 48 was just what we call Sprint right option. It's an old West Coast offense play and quarterback rolls out. He's got to receiver option to throw it to you and the Colts mother both options. In fact, I thought Paul wasn't actually pulling throwing fish, You know, I mean, bounce right off it actually hit between the one in his ear. We just dropped it coming up on halftime John Ross to get you caught up with all the day's action in.
