"Which is a half of the traditional El Salvador bonds. So they really have to return 65 million a year on that. And I think there's a 5 year lockup on the Bitcoin they hold and then at some point they start scaling out that Bitcoin and also the earnings from that go to the bond holders. So it could be could pay well in excess of 6.5% coupon. But interesting part of it, it looks like it's built into the game theory of Bitcoin is like if we have this one over a 5 year period, Bitcoin does what it does, then the bond will pay. And they're talking about doing ten of them. But I think if it works, if they can raise the money really quickly, I think that's an incentive for other countries to go. This is raised a $1 billion outside of the IMF. I always love bets like this because they prove nothing in either direction. Other than Bitcoin is volatile. Yeah. You're betting with other people. If you gave me a $100 to borrow and I knew that I could default without you taking out my kneecaps, I would probably invest in something that could pay off ten X if I could only lose $50. You're probably not going to lose a $100, right? So you're basically taking nation state capital to make the same speculating with other people's money. But that's what countries are designed to do. So if you're thinking about shooting your shot as an up and coming country is trying to, again, reform a lot of things aside from just the financial status. Then making a bet on emerging tech, I think, is a pretty smart play. Now I know I know again we're going to get a little bit further into this. But I wonder if Bitcoin is too limiting for a country like El Salvador. And how that's ultimately going to play into their competitive positioning in terms of attracting talent. Maybe the Bitcoin centric community. I don't, can I say maximalist? To me. Okay, all right. I want to, I don't know. Some people get touched. We're both Bitcoin holders here. So I'll say the maximalist crowd, right? That's not a slur when I use it. The maximalist crowd, I wonder if it's a little bit too limiting. From the part of a role leader someone like Mike Kelly or if that kind of dedicated like maximalist contingent is enough where they're going to say, you know what?.

"David kelham. Who is the voice of the ole miss rebels He's been part of that program for going on for decades And you know what a time to be at ole miss with the football program under lane kiffin the basketball program doing quite well and then the baseball program only being number one in the country we had One of the stars of the team on the other day and david. I know. Fridays are pretty busy times with baseball and everything. But we appreciate you making time for us and how are you sure doing great polyp sitting at the box waiting for us to play belmont here at six thirty our time. So it's great. You called me the perfect time but good to be only. I have seen this before in her different friends. But i would be intrigued the because sometimes it takes a long time to get a a prime job like you have now especially with the the just the absolute zeal for almost baseball but You apparently got started pretty early. Yep i started basically in highschool to be honest with that kind of tricked tricks my way into this job I was a senior in high school. My mother was professor suter. Don't miss and i used to hang out of her office a lot and radio. Tv was under theater and campus radio station which was w cbi at that. Time was carrying ole miss baseball and it was on cable. Only the students were gone. The professors were known. This guy comes blowing out of the station ex. My mother's office and he's gotta find somebody these games. Everybody's gone and so. I told him i said i can do him. He said who are you. Don't even go was and so. He thought hosted freshman. Ole miss which i was not as a senior high school. But i did the seventy seven. Sec tournament for ole miss on the campus radio station as a eighteen year old. So that's how. That's how. I got my and they hired by the local radio station. The final years that this jack you know how that goes and started doing baseball and seventy eight. It's baseball and women's basketball through. Eighty eight became the lead announcer in football men's basketball and continue to baseball in eighty nine. I mean that's i'm always Always admire people not only for for excelling but being able to to stay in a job. That long. And i don't mean that i mean and i say that because there's all misses the perfect exception it is the perfect example there. There are a lot of changes that have happened then. You never really know what's going to happen. I've seen it firsthand with When when i first started in birmingham legendary voice of the crimson tide was out with a new a new administration. How how how do you hang on. And i don't mean hang on. How do you stay in the job like that. For for as long as you do considering the politics of of intercollegiate athletics. Just don't criticize the coaches and you told a long time ago point. Because they rarely they rarely pop up these jobs to. There's more opportunity now. I teach a class at old miss. We're not teaching this spring because of the pandemic but i teach sportscasting class. And when i got my shot to be in radio radio was basically it. I mean you didn't have the live streaming opportunities the podcast opportunities and all the things that are going on today And so it has been difficult. But it's funny. you should mention. I've had kids through the years that like meet the rebels day would come up to me and say i'm gonna have your job someday and i soon i've got a few more years. You know thinking back my mind but this past year A kid said that's means that ten years old and hit him. "Mistake. Break your great American again. This is the Buck Sexton show former CIA analyst Remember the anima G D Sex it is. Fuck section. No way. Do have Jenna Ellis. Of the Trump legal team. She's on the front line of this whole thing. She's joining us now live, Jenna. Thank you so much for calling in. Absolutely thanks so much for having me so I I gave the audience a little bit of a primer on that. The Supreme Court denied injunctive relief today, but that's not the same thing is saying Because I have people text. Is it all over? No, it is not all over. But tell people what they need to know about. Pennsylvania and and let's go through some of the still active legal challenges. Yes, well importantly, this is Mike Kelly's lawsuit. It's not one of the Trump campaign's lawsuits, even though obviously there are ah variety of individuals and organizations that are very concerned about election integrity as well. They should be, including the Eiji of Texas that filed on a great case that we can talk about that in in front of the Supreme Court. Late last night, but importantly for Mike Kelly's a student, Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court on Lee denied what's called emergency injunctive relief, which basically he was asking the court to stay. The certification of results pending the outcome of that case, and the Supreme Court denied that, but they did not deny the petition. For the writ of cert, which is the legal term. Of course, we're actually going in front of the Supreme Court and having them grant hearing the appeal, so the appeal is still pending. The case is still very much alive on. It's only that injunction of the certification of results that was denied today. So all of the reporters need to correct their fake news headlines. Yes, tell me this. What Where? Where is what is the Trump campaign legal situation in Pennsylvania, specifically said, That's my Kelly's case. What is your case? Right. So in Pennsylvania right now, we had a appeal that went to the third Circuit on a very narrow issue that was denied. We have not yet appealed that to the Supreme Court. We do have another case that pending out of Pennsylvania that was the one on all of the weight ballots that Justice Alito. Ordered as to be segregated out. That case has been pending for a couple of weeks in front of the Supreme Court. Whether or not it will be heard in unison, possibly with Mike Kelly's consolidated. Sometimes the Supreme Court does that that's very possible in this instance. But that's the case that we have pending right now in front of the Pennsylvania are out of Pennsylvania. And of course, we also have the state Legislature Avenue where we have had The hearing's in front of state legislatures, including Pennsylvania, asking them to exercise their authority under the federal constitution to say for themselves, even without a court order, Listen, we look at what's happened in our state. All of the rules were a blatantly violated. We can't certify a false illegal results. And so we're going to take back the method of selecting our delegates and make findings the fact and determine what slate to move forward with, so that's been really the route that Mayor Giuliani and I have taken with the state legislators over the last two weeks to encourage them to exercise their constitutional authority because they're the last Uh, dr Gap, but to really be the voice of the people and to make sure that corruption does not rain in elections and make sure that they're the ones that step in and say, No, we're not going to send a false plate of delegates to the Electoral College were speaking of Janet Ellis. She is one of the lawyers representing the Trump campaign. In these various lawsuits, try to get to the bottom of what really happened and what fraud was. Play in this election. Jenna, You mentioned this Texas lawsuit, though from the Texas State attorney General, Can you please tell us about this? Because I don't think I mean, I know the media is not covering this stuff fairly, but I don't think they've even really. Covered this much at all. Yeah, which is actually shocking because this is a huge thing that a state attorney general is doing four other states. And so this is Texas that's doing for other states and basically telling them that you know your state did not follow the rules and your states for elections. And so this was an election. Official. Violation of all of the state rules and because of that, then there they are essentially disenfranchising the rest of the American public because with the certification of false results based on illegal activity, then that would tip the Electoral college on in favor of the candidate that didn't actually win. So this is a huge lawsuit. It has what's called, of course, original jurisdiction where under Article three of the U. S Constitution that contemplates the judicial branch when a state sues another state, then that does not go up through the traditional court route. But it's filed directly in the Supreme Court. So this is bypassed the rest of the lower court and I will be heard directly and friends Supreme Court because it's not an appeal. They can't deny it on even just a few minutes ago, we Learned that the court the Supreme Court, put this on expedited briefing schedule, which means that they know that this is a really important case to hear before December 14th. That's the date, of course, that the Electoral College is anticipated to vote. Even though we do have Supreme Court precedent in prior cases and prior elections that really it's the January 6th date, that is of ultimate significance is how the court put it ultimate significant that that's the date that Electoral college votes are counted and certified by Congress..

"And then slightly win a swing state and you just have to look at the numbers. Look at what's been on tape. Look at all the corruption and we'll see you can't win it election like that, that let's see whether or not somebody has the courage, whether it's a legislator or legislate yours or whether it's a justice of the Supreme Court or a number of justices of the Supreme Court. Let's see if they have the courage to do. What everybody in this country knows is right anyway. So this better way. This is the case that Ted Cruz the one they were ejected, not the Texas case, which they are now seeking input from those four states that Texas has, as mentioned. But this is one Ted Cruz was willing to argue before the U. S. Supreme Court. This is the congressman Mike Kelly suit And this was the suit that went after Pennsylvania Act 77. Now that act passed by the Democratic state legislatures or Democratic legislators, signed by the Democratic governor and The problem is, it was in direct violation of Pennsylvania's own constitution. Their state constitution features carefully documented restrictions surrounding mail in voting. And that could only be changed through a constitutional amendment a far more difficult process that which we have described it in detail, and by the way, for all the good reasons that the New York Times pointed out, the Carter Baker Commission pointed out and so many others have pointed out prior to this election that Massive use of mail in balloting lends itself towards all all this fraud. You take away melon balloting. We're not in this mess that we have today, where such high percentages of the American people in some polls in the 80% range Rejecting the honesty and integrity and have no confidence in the real outcome of this election. Um, anyway, Greg to full is with us. He is the lawyer based in Pittsburgh. Congressman Mike Kelly, Pennsylvania 16th district. He's the one that brought this case. I was a pretty disappointing decision, Congressman yesterday. Yeah, but, you know, we were very disappointed. Thank you for having me on the show. Um, we're disappointed that the court was unwilling to grant Interim injunctive relief pending our petition for CERT Ferrari. Overall, they denied was entering injunctive relief, preserving the status quo. While they consider our petition for certiorari. We are still proceeding with This week filing our petition for certiorari. We do still hope that the Supreme Court will see fit to grant relief with respect to the unconstitutional act 77, by the way, Mike Kelly. I mean, there was a pretty much of a simple slammed on case is not a complicated, legal or complicated constitutional. Question here. It's pretty straightforward. Yeah, We sure thought it was. Greg has done great work on this. But when it comes down to this is the fact this is either it's either constitutional or unconstitutional act 77, which was passed in October of 2019, so you gotta look at what happened and say, Listen, forget about anybody any allegations of fraud? Forget about all that. Let's just concentrate. On what Pennsylvania did in October of 2019 by changing our voter laws, but not doing it the proper way And that is by an amendment which is an onerous effort. You have to do it the right way, but in great continues in this, but honestly, it really comes down to this was an unconstitutional movement are events that took place in Pennsylvania's legislature, and we really didn't have standing on it until after we were harms the one they Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which is a 52 d court, by the way, said Oh, no, no, no, no. You guys came too late on By the way, you're not allowed to bring this up ever again. But you should have contacted beforehand. So how would you file a lawsuit before you were harmed? That would even be people who say no, you can't. You can't sue somebody for something that hasn't happened. I think I think that was the rational. I've been watching Some of the analysis of you know these armchair lawyers on TV and some commentators, and that was their suggestion. Well, You should have brought this issue up about act 77 in 2019 when it when it first happened, Um the problem from my perspective with that argument is there had I mean that maybe you could have done it but and pointed out the unconstitutionality of it at the point? I don't know We didn't have standing action. We didn't have any standing because we hadn't been harmed. So you really can't file a lawsuit against something you think may happen. The procedurally. I'm still scratching my head to find out or to try to figure out what the world Pennsylvania's legislature was thinking of. But then to compound all that even after this takes place you have the governor, then changing. Remember the third and eight o'clock was supposed to be the drop dead time. No, we're not. We're going to get going to go to November 4th November 5th. Then we're gonna finish up on Friday. November is a six at five o'clock, and by the way that does that they're gonna have to be kept. The signatures don't have to match. The postmarks don't have to be on there. Nobody's allowed to. Also, we didn't have people. We would watch the polls what they did, and you saw that in Philadelphia. So I think would Greg talked about this early on is that this is his plane is the nose on your face when it comes to this being unconstitutional, and that's what we're challenging right now. And now what? We didn't get. Listen. We didn't get our temporary injunctive relief. But we should be able to have the case heard on the basic merits of the case. When when we'd likely hear about that Greg to full well, we're going to file a motion for expedited review the court could and go along with that and treated an expedited fashion. If the court is still willing to consider any relief with respect to the 2020 election, as opposed to on Lee granting relief with respect to future elections, then one would hope that they would handle it on an expedited basis. But that's entirely up to the court. They're They're not held any particular schedule when you got your when they rejected your emergency appeal yesterday, but then open the door for the Texas A G case..

"Let's get the truly important stuff out off the way. We had the Supreme Court move decided not to hear the case regarding Pennsylvania election fraud. The case was brought by several members. It's called the It's associated with Mike Kelly U S Congressman Mike Kelly. They decided not to hear that case. It's not a decision on The merits of the case, but they decided not to. However far more important. Is the decision by the attorney general of Texas to bring a case against other states in the union for acting unconscious ITU Shin Lee six weeks ago during the presidential election, let me give you the latest update because it also involves the White House as well. This is from the daily wire. From team Pierce Breaking. Trump Administration will join Texas lawsuit against the battle ground states. The Trump administration will be intervening in the lawsuit in front of the Supreme Court filed by Texas against four other states over alleged violations off election law. The president has stated. We will be intervening in the Texas case. This is the big one. Our country needs a victory, and here are the details. Texas attended General Tech Can Paxton filed the lawsuit on Tuesday against Georgia. Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, arguing that the states should be blocked from voting in electoral college over alleged violation off election law. So they states Those states have disqualified themselves. From calling their electoral college votes for the president. The Supreme Court ordered the states to respond to the suit by Thursday. What day is it today, said almost Thursday. It's almost there's they they must respond, according to the Supreme Court by Thursday, here is a direct quote from the Texas Eiji Trust in the integrity of our election process is is sacrosanct and binds our citizenry on the states in this union together Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Destroyed that trust and compromised the security and integrity of the 2020 election. The state's violated statute enacted by there, Julie Elected legislatures. Thereby violating the Constitution. Let me unpack that sentence for you. The U. S constitution is clear. Elections in America, even if it's for a federal position, like the president or vice president. Run on the basis of the regulations. Put in place by each state house. So it is the state legislatures that decide how to handle an election. Those states that Texas is suing. Made changes to help their elections were held in 2020 without the approval of the state houses. Which is, um, constitutional Whether it's Making all ballots. Malin whether it's saying the signatures on the ballots Didn't need to be checked whether it's stating that ballots could arrive will be counted days or weeks after the election, or whether it was stating that Certain District's Democrat District's could have ballots, quote unquote cured. If you fill in your ballot incorrectly. Election official would take it to your house. Help you correct it. They wouldn't do that in Republican district's for Republican voters. That is the equal protection clause and it was violated on mass Continues. By ignoring both state and federal law. These states have not only tainted the integrity off their own citizens votes. But of Texas and every other state that held lawful elections. Now that's Why this case is so powerful. Because we are a union. And when you run things in your state that unconstitutional you hurt the states that have done it by the book. And that is the quote unquote, the legal standing off Texas, he continues. Their failure to abide by the rule of law casts a dark shadow of doubt over the outcome off the entire election. We now ask that the Supreme Court step in to correct this agree GIs error. Elections for federal office must comport with federal constitutional standards for presidential elections, each state must appoint its electors to the Electoral college. In a manner that comm pies. With the Constitution. The electors cold laws. The electors close requirement that only state legislators make set the rules governing the appointment of electors and elections and cannot be delegated to a local officials. We're not approved by the state legislators. Therefore circumventing our constitution. Lastly, Other states have announced their plan to join the Texas A. Ji's lawsuit. The attorney general's off Missouri, Louisiana. In Arkansas, as well as Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky. South Dakota. And South Carolina of all, indicated that desire to join the Republic of Texas and now the White House..

"The president continues to struggle to find traction with his efforts to overturn the election results. The U. S Supreme Court rejecting two cases from Trump allies, with no dissent from Annie Justices, and now a new case, which claims four battleground states used the pandemic to expand and skew the vote. Is that the courts doorstep if somebody has the courage I know who the next administration will be. And I'll tell you what life will be much easier for this country because of what we've done. Let's get into the latest legal battles with ABC is Aaron Khutor ski Erin. It sure appears the Supreme Court doesn't want to touch these cases with a 10 FT Pole kind of give us the crux of what they've done so far. Well, they What they haven't done is give us any real reason. But in a sink one line order, the Supreme Court denied to take up the challenge from Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Mike Kelly. That would that that sought to invalidate 2.5 million mail in ballots in Pennsylvania on grounds that the state changed the way it administered the election to accommodate the Corona virus pandemic. Without hearing to the Constitution. Pennsylvania's election officials, of course, denied it. The Supreme Court declined to take it up and it was seen is really the last best shot. For President Trump and his allies to somehow dismantle the election results. This was the first case to reach the Supreme Court, and they dismissed it out of hand. Do legal analysts think that the justices just didn't want to touch us that all and figure we're looking like we're interjecting in the will of the people was that some of the logic saying just missing it out of hand like they did. Oh, I think I think that may be part of it. I also think that it's a challenge that came after the fact. And you have to wonder. Whether Republican congressman Kelly would be as concerned about the administration of the Pennsylvania election. Had the results gone the other way. You know, it's not like you filed a preemptive lawsuit here. This this was something that went Um, you know, it was rejected at the state level. It was rejected in the federal courts and then finally reached the Supreme Court. The other thing he failed to do is present any evidence that there was actually anything wrong that or that somehow their results were tainted. Um and and that was a glaring absence in the eyes of the courts. What about this latest lawsuit targeting Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia that Just arrived at the doorstep of the U. S. Supreme Court yesterday morning Wild by the Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, who questioned the way other states administered the election. It's unusual for states to sue one another. Usually it's over things like water rights and the like here. Again. You wonder whether the Supreme Court is going to be willing to take up this challenge that was filed after the fact. Um Ken Paxton didn't seem to have so many concerns about, uh, the election beforehand, at least that that he pushed in lawsuits. And so the other thing that he didn't present with evidence that there was any fraud on bats again been a glaring omission in all of these lawsuits. I guess he's what over 51 if I have the data, right, maybe one for 51, depending on how that one that came out was something about a city. Sure, But at this point, Aaron is this about just keeping his name out there showing that he's a fighter, and he's building the case for 2020 fours? This really what it's about. You think at this point, I think it's also about money. I mean, if you if you look he's using Thies, he's lawsuit says Fundraising appeals, and a lot of that goes down to pay down campaign debt. It goes. It's certainly produces a A war chest as he considers whether to run again in 2024. Whether he will or not, the almost doesn't matter..

Yeah, Trump's fall Off course in L. A judge siding with restaurants out there could pence decide the race. We get into that compost still going after lockdown Larry over the South Korean test kits. Merrill State troopers have arrested 132. People for covert 19 violations. Sheriff Mike Lewis joins us Live it later on this morning. Why comical county and talk about a letter he wrote to one of his constituents of war. People who live in white comical Kelly. We're concerned about that. So the top story here today is a lot of action. We told this we're gonna be Avery of fluid moving week and the Supreme Court. Has denied these certification. Of the electoral votes. They won't know they want to ban because they were asking Mike Kelly and Sean Parnell. We're asking the Supreme Court to to ban the The electoral votes and the certification. Of course, they refused to take that up. Here's my Kelly. We're not alleging that any broad took place. What we're saying very factually is that this took place outside. How the Constitution is form. And then Sean Parnell said. This election is always going to have a NASCAR a score taint about it. Even if the court says that, you know, yes, 2020 was messed up. But let's fix it moving forward. You're still gonna have 50% of the people in the states, saying Wait a second, The election and 2020 was unconstitutional when illegal and will will forever have an ass trick next. The 2020 election if they decide that General, so run half the population Understanding that the election was fraud about 47% is the least figure I saw Janet Ellis talks about the pending litigation before the court. We have pending litigation that's going on again in five states that is challenging the election results to say that the election officials did not Match according to state law, So so, here's what they denied. They denied emergency injunctive relief in this case, but the pensive any case is still pending. Before the Supreme Court and what they're going to do. I think Bruce is there waiting. They got all these other cases. They've got Texas now we'll get to that case here just a little later on on. They have potential other cases. We've got the trump legal team case that's coming before them in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, so there's going to be their multi two. Perhaps 3 to 5. We're not quite sure what the final number is going to be. 3 to 5 cases before the Supreme Court. I think they're waiting to see what what they all are on then. I think the Supreme Court if I remember rightly said Thursday deadline for briefs and the election lawsuit filed by Texas so they're going to have everything in by Thursday. Then on Friday, the day three days before electoral college meets is when we're gonna hear something from the Supreme Court. Well, I got to decide pretty damn fast. This is not the usual calendar for the Supreme Court. This takes us back to Bush v. Gore. That that election obviously wanted. The Supreme Court. Supreme Court came to decision very quickly. Sidney Powell lawsuit aimed at decertifying Georgia results dismissed

"Morning, Sidney Powell. Had her lawsuits dismissed in Georgia and Michigan. This was the cracking lawsuit. This is about voter fraud in terms of the actual machines, Dominion voting machines and And and the changing of votes. The lawsuit also Talks about errors haven't do it absentee ballots and vote counting. In Michigan, the U. S District Court judge Linda Partners of the Because the election is taken place and its results of uncertified. It's too late to grant an injunction. That's a weird take. This whole idea of The timing, just like they said in Pennsylvania, when representative Mike Kelly brought the lawsuit, they said, Well, where were you all these months ago when they changed the law, But they didn't change the law. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania said. It's okay to do these mail in ballots. It's okay to extend deadlines. The Legislature didn't It is that conversation that needs to go in front of the Supreme Court and decisions must be made. This idea of too late is getting more and more peculiar. How could they have done something earlier when they didn't know what was happening? They had to get the information before they could engage the lawsuit. Now you're telling them that you late because there was already certification. That's That's a peculiar

"Is one impressive group. Another minute or two with mike kelly. Speaking of impressive. Let's flip over to the basketball side of things and ice win over wichita state yesterday. They've got a home win. A neutral site win a road win. It's three and start for console martin and company. Mike as you look at what the hoops team has done again amid stay a lot of uncertainty amidst season like basketball where you may not even know who your next opponent is going to be albeit in the very early returns. What have you seen so far. Well i think they look like experienced team that we thought they would look like when the season began in. And you know when you have as many distractions as as the pandemic has provided for sports Those with experienced those that are mature those have been through their share had their share of adversity throughout the course of careers. I think those are the ones with the that kind of adjust in can handle things. This is an experienced team and and they're playing like an experienced team and you know they're they're showing a lot of maturity They they don't panic You know they've got a couple of. I think important ball games this week. Liberty is is not a team that should be taken light and lightly. They've already beaten. Mississippi state already beaten south carolina. The sec So that'll be a game. That zuriel need to play well in on wednesday night and then you get the bragging rights game coming up on saturday against a terrific illinois team so i just think that this is this is condos best team. Even you know going back to his first era when he cashes roberson jon porter You know and michael. Four game or three I i think this is going to prove esteem. top to bottom from collective standpoint You know and and it's gonna be fun to watch them. Continue to develop you know. I mentioned like the way the football team won on saturday. And i don't think we see that kind of win a couple years ago. You another game where you only got eighteen minutes out of jeremiah. Tillman on the road against wichita state. overcame some adversity. Were able to fight back and still won. That game is at a team that the basketball team. The last couple of years ago does not win mike. Well you know yeah. I don't know that that's that's a good point. And and i don't know that i've got the answer because it was you know as a game. Zuri control the once. They took the lead after they only trailed once in the game. Two to nothing so once they took control they hit control. But you know. I think the thing that you saw that when when which tough made its run to cut it to four at half rated panic they came out in the second. Half in a very workman-like fashion were able stretch the lead to as many seventeen in the second half and then didn't handle things the way you would like them to down the stretch too many files allowing which to cut in the lead but Yeah i don't know if i can answer with the previous team i just don't but I know this the this team is better than they were over the last couple of years and again you get guys that are playing at a different level right. Now and guys that are healthy and it's important for for telman who You know his his second foul was really one that you know. I think if you asked him he knows exactly what he did. Wrong from a defensive standpoint of third foul just trying to be aggressive hedging on a screen on and maybe it's just a little bit step slow off all thanks learned from at least. You're not seeing the Consistent kind of Ill-advice files that you saw from him early in his career. Mike kelly we appreciate it man. I know busy Weekend and another busy week coming up but should be on with liberty and then sixth ranked illinois liberties. Probably better than wichita state. Be a big test on wednesday and then of course georgia coming up over the weekend. Thanks to the chatman. All the best and we'll talk to you soon. Enjoying listening what he took her scoff got.

M. and what is costing me and what I what I need now now if you're the Chargers you don't have all those needs if Justin Herbert hits for the Chargers at quarterback they they can I mean if he hits on that on that skimpy contract they don't have a ton of other needs they may decide to when James is so valuable we don't have a bunch of need for the jets got a lot of things to fix Allach corner pass rusher receiver I still think their offense of line at tackle they got a left tackle they drafted I don't know if they're good at right tackle interior O. line roll the dice lavey unveil long term are they going to pay that so if I was the jets I would consider moving him and I love him now now I will say this you know yet two interceptions last year make a Fitzpatrick had five Jamal's a physical player he's great on the blitz he's great in the box he is ages blow stuff up does he get the ball and taken away like a make a Fitzpatrick a lot of times nobody's a blow up guy he's a great player but you know again I think George kills great player the tight end for the San Francisco forty Niners and right now because a drop lows youth an imac you know hadn't played that many games I think he's invaluable but if you have to pay grovel at some time and I got paid the boss on the line you do get to a to a position now tight end means more now than I think it's ever met in my life but that's it that's the last seventy years Titans matter like Travis Kelsey now is huge especially for a young quarterback but if you have a veteran quarterback in a good O. line and a bunch of good receivers would you need a tight end as much even if he was great maybe not sold me Matt Ryan Atlanta let Austin Hooper go it's a great player but Matt Ryan has very good weapons on the outside he's got a running back he likes Matt Ryan has they look a lot of very good tight end goal so did his safety to me is a I'm not exactly sure how much it's worth Peter Guber is one of the most impressive people in sports at an executive an entrepreneur he's a co owner and co chair of the Golden State Warriors co owner of the Dodgers co owner executive chairman of the LA football club I'm a season ticket holder there chairman CEO Mandalay entertainment one of the companies behind last dance former chairman CEO of Sony pictures of remarkably impressive guy I've had the good pleasure to interview a meeting a couple of times he sits right behind me the soccer games his seats better than mine it should be noted Peter is kind enough to join us here on a Friday Peter first of all how are things for you hello Sir I live in a mess you know it you're you're trying to figure out you know what the right rules of the road are you trying to find the road and this is a black swan event that happened and so they the result of that is that is a great deal of uncertainty and so my role is you know within certain J. you know that comes opportunity and so yeah absolutely look at that otherwise you get stuck with the problem and not the opportunity you have been in so many different things you've been in the movie business you've been in the you've been in the sports business and I'm trying to think of the other business you've been in the music business what are the similarities let's let's take sports is sports you're you're building a team movies when you're the CEO you're building a team are there similarities sports to music in movies or a sports its own animal entirely what was interesting that's a good question because it is a distinction there all audience businesses they we we win the experiences to an audience that's our job you know whether it's music movies television documentaries were rendering experience now the difference the distinction between films and television is this a cap generally a caption experience it's a curated experience in sports is a lot of experience in the movie business the television business if you make a film or story the same guy we're walking for example the same Christian wins and rocky if you see it on television on the airplane a year later you see a postage stamp to see the movie theater the same person wins so the audience has a different kind of experience in sports and live sports the audience is actually a participant not a passenger in the process so you have to deal with those audiences very differently you have to make a promise and that is delivered on as an experience specially live courts and that's my my center posted a live sports is what we need what we need in the country we need back and that is why it's so successful because they feel that audience feels they do make a difference they are really involved in the outcome and so what you really need that live sports thing is separates it from other media reports you know when you have to help make decisions on who to pay and who not to pay there are it's like it's like the movie business there are a handful of stars that can clearly Tom Hanks and drive audience nobody would dispute that right in sports it there are tough decisions where you have to tell great athletes we're gonna let you go and you may go to our rival are those painful situation for you how difficult is it to lose a great talent because of a salary cap what first of all you have to have a certain rule around the whole thing if you get really so familiar and so close with your athletes and your team players it makes it hard to have a clear and focused judgment of what you need to do for the team and are you really have to keep some kind of a distance you know you're wrecked after recognize they have a job you have a job they have a great you have a great you have a business they have a business and sometimes they don't mesh perfectly so we it's hard if you get emotionally connected so I'm AT athlete on the team over the years when you're traveling around them you know their family and and so it's really hard to just say goodbye to them or make a move in the movie business it's eight months and a trailer five straight weeks in the trailer and your your promise faith and good hope let's get together and have a big yet you never see them again yeah so it's it's a very different kind of enterprise in terms of the relationship capital between you and the challenge when you tried to recruit I believe you try to recruit Kevin Durant and he was very successful and he was running a bunch of games and he was going to come to a team your warriors that had stars what was the recruiting process how did you touch him Peter how did you emotionally land with him knowing he may have to sacrifice Peter shots in points and stats I think the process with Kevin was done with Bob Myers and the players leave the players really worked on the relationship capital it is necessary to make him feel secure it wasn't certain it wasn't me it certainly was an attitude that was expressed through Bob Myers the the GM to the other owners and most especially the players who went to see him as you know they went to the Hamptons block and express how they related to one another I anecdotally hearing afterwards not while I while I was there it was a situation where they were really sharing with him and I use this expression because I'm I've got a second hand that you can use the expression damn you're going to make the difference in other words you will make the difference and I think you did make the difference and I think that was compelled him to come was actually though the war is not winning and against Cleveland that yet because yeah I think it's the warriors one it was clear and I don't think you're gonna come I remember after I remember at the finals that year Bob Myers came in at the halftime show with the own as real as weight and sad and we were ahead by six or seven points it looks good looks great looks good and I smiled and I said we we had we don't get him that was just my in my belief that that came from decades of dealing with talent not just sports but all kinds of dell music film television this was a person when you came in and we lost the game I I remember saying to Bob you're going to get him now because now you really have a narrative a story and offering a promise to the promise to him as an athlete that you can make the difference that eat that that the purpose of them being it is winning and I think that while we might want along without him that was the narrative that I think helped seal the deal that they did that they did the players and and the the general manager I would think with your active in an experience you would be able to predict certain things so you go to the warriors in two thousand ten a year earlier they had drafted Steph curry we just saw him as a skinny kid from Davidson we had no idea he would fundamentally change ports you also produced rain man which is one of my ten favorite movies of all time so I want to I want to connect these two did you know with the rain man as you're making it we have a massive transformative hit did you know with curry early nobody wants them in college we have a transcendent do you can you see stuff before it happens with a career a rain man I wish I could you know I wish I could you know it's been a blind man's bluff you're trying to get the alchemy of success in and in films television sports and movies is a loser what gave you success one year one time doesn't give you what the other use John good judgment you lose you lose you lose your information your date which is really important but they did not make the decision informs the decision maker and so you have to make that leap of faith that'll work and and I think there's some instinct or what I can honestly tell you Hey man started out as a television movie and then there's somebody read the script and gave it that Dustin Hoffman to read as if you're in the middle of it I think good things can happen but if you're not swinging the bat yeah and it all right no I love that so when you go to like so you you're at the warriors right the Dodgers and then you get become part of the LAFC group and you know you're successful guy is there a message when you're part of an ownership group is there a message that that it transcends the sport it doesn't matter what sport it is a certain message always works in professional sports you know I have to I have to moan of my closest friends Pat Riley uses an advisor coach a mentor to me and everything and down several times when I got lost in my business what's the business he said remember that's not what the main thing is and always keep the main thing the main thing we don't know what the main thing is you have trouble staying on even your course and so the idea is the main thing is to remember if you're making a movie it's in the script it's in the director you give them the tools and resources the blessing on.

"You know the start of it Working in high school with Gus Malzahn then being with with coach. And then you go with Brian Harrison and being with him and being able to really maybe eight people in two different philosophies You know it just it. It tells me that this guy is mature beyond his years. I'm curious from a personal perspective active. And you've been around Mizzou many many years. You're Missouri Sports Hall of Famer One of the great announcers in in College Sports And you were tight with Bury Oldham Minisov and you saw as a player he saw as an assistant then the head coach and then he's let go and you have this new guy. Come in from your perspective Mike. How tough was at to see Berry? Go well it's always tough. You know again i. I met Berry Oedemas or as Upright Act Frenchman from Oklahoma And think the world of him and wish he in T- You know the boys Garrett and JT analog with their daughter the best and they're going to be fine you know they're they're going to be just fine. I mean you know what what Barry owed him did it is at at his Alma. Mater is that he played a stock right and that stock Rewarded him very nicely Over the course of four years and he was able to parlay that into another position going to pay him over a million dollars a year or so But I go back in in terms of adjustment because you know when you make coaching staff changes. It's not just the coaches that are let go. All the position coaches choose. It's the IT impacts all of the families and the kids and things like that and my hands. If I just think over you know the last you know twenty six twenty seven years the number number different staffs that have been let go And the number of families that are impacted it's somewhat staggering. But Yeah I go back to to really advice Larry Smith the late Larry Smith A guy that I that I loved working with a guy that I loved as a human being in that it dearly miss Larry Smith told me after Gary Pinkel was hired it. I'll never forget. Laurie and I had breakfast. With with Larry and Cheryl Smith one Spring Day Once every morning on a weekend at the sixty three diner Just north of Columbia and Larry said to me. He said he said. What do you think of the new staff? This was after Pinkel staff was hired as coach. Really don't know I said having spent spend much time with them I said you know it's it's tough just kind of adjusting to you. Know your guys leaving and then this whole group coming in and looked at me and he says it's your job to get to know these folks you owe it to them you owe to your profession. You need to sit down you need to be open. It's not their fault. I got fired. It's my fault I got fired and that was really you know sage advice from a from a guy that that I really respected and So you know again. It's to see families. Disrupted you hate to see change Indiana state. Aj everybody's pretty much handsomely rewarded. So I think they're going to be fine But now you you know you're really having you know no other choice but to move onto the next guy you like drink. What's in his staff? There are guys now right. I mean for Missouri fans and and and You know Certainly is I look at it. I need to develop relationships because I'm GONNA have to work with them this season Gets closer and so you know you. Embrace them And you and you know you look forward to to what the future holds guy people excited about him. You get that feeling in Columbia really do know not only Columbia. I just look at the the reaction on Saturday when he was introduced to the crowd just watching him work You know Yes he was seated in the stands getting ready to watch the game it but he's keen. He knows you knows different people he needs to say hi to and you know I. I think people are excited. I really do. I think I think Missouri fans are are are looking forward to you. Know Offensive. Football helps I think sell tickets defense wins championships but anything offense. Football sells tickets and You know I I I think Missouri I I love what Jim S- Turk said when he made the decision to make the move is that he thought that Missouri had lost momentum as a program program. I agree with him. I thought that they did to. It's hard for fan base to obey to embrace a program that loses five consecutive games. Three different times over four year period. That's just that's difficult for fans to to really you know grasped and get momentum behind that program You know so i. I appreciated the what Jim said in terms of that in the way that he framed it and I think the other thing too Dan that that as the director of Athletics Jim Sturrock had to say and my one hundred percent cent convinced that Berry owed him this capable of turning around and regaining that momentum. And if you're not one hundred percent convinced as yeah flooded cruncher then you have to make a change and he did and I think that he made a really good decision in a really good choice in any length. Drink Whitson and I think the Patriots Right. You're the best my man. Thank you for everything. Happy Holidays to you and yours for Christmas and I can't wait to..

"The Voice of the Missouri. Tigers Mike Kelly lots to get into with Mike. The bragging rights game the State of Congo Martin's program and we'll get into the hiring of ally drinker which the head football coach at Mizzou Missouri comes to say Lawson lawsuit makes it two straight against the fighting. Is they take home. The bragging rights Tofu once again. Sixty three fifty six the final huge win for Missouri and the bragging rights game. Mike had the call. All the joins me on scoops Danny Mac Dot Com Mike Let's start with this. What was your takeaway from the game on Saturday against the align I here in Saint Louis Missouri was tougher team? But I thought the team that was more Determined to get too loose balls. I thought they were the team. That were those more determined to play within. Its identity And I I think they did just enough from an offensive standpoint to win the game and the option that reproduction off the bench from Savior Pinson and also from the Belleville Native Giovane picket who finished with a season high. Seventeen so I thought Missouri was the better team than afternoon insight enterprises. And what was the atmosphere. Like for you it's not the triple overtime. It's not Lou Hinson against Norm Stewart. But it is Mizzou Illinois. What was the atmosphere like from your perspective? Well it was a step in the right direction in terms of if the crowd. I mean Candidly I said a few years ago. On the air during the course of the game Maybe this robbery has run. Its course because the arena was was not selling out It wasn't even close to capacity Last year's crowd was better. This year's crowd was better than last year. So I think it's trending trending in the right direction to get him back to this special moments that we all remember. When it was the toughest ticket in Saint Louis I mean? It was tougher the cardinal playoff tickets. It was tougher than rams tickets at the time You Know Twenty to twenty three thousand fans split right down the middle A very passionate evening and we're I think we're moving back in that direction. And why is that happening because you get to good coaches and Brad underwood cons of Martin. That are trying to rebuild his programs grams and fan bases are now responding but for me I love the game. I mean I I love doing a game in St Louis Year You know that's my thirtieth game that I've been a part of the bragging rights right series thirty to thirty nine so It's it's it's fun to play a role. Did you ever have a favorite one. When you look back at this great rivalry and and I I? I think it's just the the time of the year. I don't like the game starting at noon. I like it better at six or seven o'clock and people are festive and whatnot but to the point of the best one that you've been a part of over thirty years which is the one that stands out well triple overtime Without question because the circumstances and because of what led to for that team in ninety three ninety four you must remember Missouri earlier that season barely beat central Missouri at home and then they go to Arkansas and they could be fifty two tonight that Bud Walton arena opens up And then to come home and in that game against against Illinois Deanne Thomas had land with just over a minute go to put Illinois up by nine points and you thought the game was over. lemond frazier. Had something to say about that he's And then the next thing you know we're in overtime the second overtime co Q.. On Garrison this is a a ninety percent. Foul shooter. Misses a pair of free throws and Missouri goes on to win it in three overtimes. overtimes with really you know. Think Frazier and a bunch of freshmen. On the court at that point time guys like Derek Grimm and Jason Sutherland. So that's the one that will always stand thinned out because it led to an undefeated You know big eight championship season for Missouri in one thousand nine hundred eighty four. The last conference championship Missouri has one one in the sport of basketball. And that's really interesting when you think about that. Dan Missouri's last apperance championship. And I don't Count Tournament titles those are Nice to win but those aren't winning two league all right which is the most important thing the last one took place in nineteen ninety four and you know The so the that's the one I'm always going to remember for sure. Illinois Annoy came in fourth in the nation points per game eighty four point one Mizzou holds Illinois to fifty six. That's kind of what Konso Martin is trying to build. Defense Offense I. That's what he was based on when he played now coaching. Is that the identity of this team. We're going to kind of make it rough on teams to score. Well it has to be It has to be and the other thing that they came in with the mindset is that Illinois was plus fourteen on the class and One of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country country and concert oldest team on Friday before the game okay. Let's see if that's the case. Let's test them to see if that's the case. And you know Missouri Rebounds Illinois Roy Thirty Six thirty two and the tanker's had thirteen offense rebound so and they also for seventeen turnovers so that defense has got to be in. Kansas never going to apologize. College is ripping defense. I coach And Dan as I look at this team I just think about you know. They won the game. They went one for four in in the second half from the three point line so the only shot it from three or four times. So they want they were more determined to Winning found an opportunity to drive the ball. They were more. We're determined to drive the basketball and ultimately You know driving the ball attacking the defense You know obviously being good on Niclas That's how they were able to to win the game and they'd been scoring as well scoring Illinois's bench thirty to ten so they have to be defensive team but then the other thing thing I think about is that you know as a team shooting about twenty seven percent from the three point line Yesterday to go five of fourteen in the game which is about thirty thirty five percent but what happens to this team from an offensive standpoint if Mitchell Smith starts shooting three more more consistently guy like Kobe Bryant does the same thing Mark Smith and if they can ever get torn watching going You Know Watson you know has shown the ability to hit the three previously careers just going through one of those strip droughts right now and I think it's the impact of line Be moved back a little bit too to tell you the truth so you know if they can get going from an offensive standpoint you start shooting the three. I don't think that'll become their identity. But it certainly is Much more firepower from an office standpoint Mike Kelly longtime voice of the Missouri retires our guest and you know you think eighteen days ago Charleston southern goes to Missouri and wins that game. They were something like twenty six. Twenty eight point joint underdog and they beat Mizzou them. Zoo goes to the bragging rights game and they win this game. They've gone on the road against a good temple team. They won that game so the question in is Mike. You know what what. What is this team? Who are they what? What do you think they are i? At the end of December. I give credit to Konso in his coaching in staff. Going back to the temple game for changing the lineup and putting Mitchell Smith into the starting lineup at six ten he gives Missouri Somebody on the perimeter that that you know obviously can defend can help Jeremiah's helmet on the glass. He's probably Missouri's Claire in terms of being able to enter the ball into the post which again that's that's got to become more of a consistent theme as well getting more offensive production From Jeremiah. But he did a lot of things yesterday for Saturday from defensive standpoint. Yeah Point But you know this is a team that that I think is starting to find itself. And and they're they're understanding the temple game going to Philadelphia on a Saturday night and holding temple to fifty four points when they had lost just one time. That season I think if this team a lot of confidence and then you know blowing out southern Illinois handling really. Don't wait now you've got to Time off they don't play again tell a week from tonight against against Each Chicago state so I think they're starting to buy in and they're starting to realize realized that if they can hang their hat on defense That it's going to be difficult for teams to beat them but you know the Charleston southern thing it just proves if you're not ready to play you in this day and age if you're not ready to play you're not good enough to beat any. Isn't that the truth. I'D BE REMISS IF I didn't ask you a little bit about what's happening with the football program. What are your initial impressions? Things have allied quits. I've been with him. Probably a total of maybe fifteen minutes since he retired The first ten of that was in his office The morning that he was announced as Missouri's head coach I love his energy. I love his passion. I he Obviously understand how to market a program and the world at the head. Coach has to play in terms of not only building your program but building fan interest in your program. That's to me something that that I've really picked up on Just watching You know his body of work Over the last last few weeks I like the staff he's putting together Like the fact that he kept some continuity on the defensive side of the football with Ryan Walters Walters and Also David Gibbs which I think David Gibbs doesn't get enough credit but I thought David Gibbs really helped Missouri become a much much better defense defense a year ago from from what they were. The previous season You Know Brick Haley staying on that that that helps as well and then what he's done. In terms of his hires I think very very strategic in terms of getting you know relentless recruiters Getting some guys with some some some championship experience And you know let's see what happens with with the next couple of hires made a really important one. Sometimes fans tend to overlook is the strength and conditioning coach. You know he hopes to make that announcement in the near future And then of course he's got a couple of often suspicion so phil but You know when you talk to him and again it's been. It's been a brief amount of time that I've had a chance to talk to him like you get in. I mean very simply he gets it at a very young age and you can also tell when you talk to doing that you know. He's understanding all offensive football and listening to him during the press conference talk about the innovations and the changes that he's made during his career.

No. What a great version by Lola and the saints of it's too soon to know written by south Florida zone. Deborah, Chester won't tell you marriage name. He wrote that when she was seventeen for them for the Orioles in nineteen forty eight and yon winter and Rolling Stone magazine, as you know, longtime thirty years. No that that is considered by Rolling Stone magazine to be the first rock and roll song ever recorded that became a hit nineteen forty eight. So thirty thousand records the first day it came out and played people will looking for a change nineteen forty eight not to say was I rock and roll soul. Invent the pitiful, Jennifer joys here just she loves that. So she was like favorite miss, the, you know, when we first met I played that for oh, it's a great song. I love the one by the Flamingo's the foreign goes version. That's great. Also now, I promise everybody that we have a Sunday kind of love here. Every week. You know, I'm not gonna tell you. "New Jersey has some sort of connection to a person with a public job in there for a public pigeon beating they are either our teachers or cops or whatever or related to the berry to them maybe sons and daughters of these folks, and and they're not going to support a plan that cuts back pension benefits. So you've got twenty percent of your electorate, perhaps, you know, against that sort of plant. It really creates a log jam for any governor that wants to kind of re jiggled the budget so to speak. Yeah. And the other thing too is I think I just saw this that one in every ten dollars. It's been a New Jersey goes to pensions retirement, retired public employees, and it's going to be more because you know, for a long time, we've talked about trying to regionalize another words you reduce the duplicate services that we have in all these little towns that we all live in here in New Jersey. That's just hasn't caught on, you know, people just don't wanna do it in a lot of the people who are against it are the public employees themselves. I look at you. And I each live in very small. Very quaint little towns. I don't want. I don't want to merge. I agree. Nobody wants to tout. You have a beautiful town. I do I love I live at and I love it here. But I yeah, it's just not going to happen. Not probably not in my lifetime. But I think I think eventually, you know, the budgetary battle is going to be fought in such a way that people are just simply going to have to bite the bullet. Let's talk a little bit about President Trump. We're talking to Mike Kelly columnist from the Bergen record this Russia investigation coming to ahead. People are now being sentenced we had this big testimony from Michael Cohen, the president's racist, a conman yada, yada, yada, and. Distrupt survive all this. Yes, I do believe he survived, and I'll tell you why. I think we have reached a point now where the torrent of anti-trump rhetoric has reached a point we're almost to it. I drink and having traveled in the so-called battle some of the battleground states have Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. I can tell you that we hear the New York area. Don't really I don't think we appreciate the support that Donald Trump has in in those in in America's heartland, and I think that Trump is going to be a very formidable character in the twenty twenty election unless unless and this is the big this is the big caveat. Here. It lists Robert Mueller, or perhaps these congressional investigations on uncover some sort of proverbial smoking gun, which will be so obvious that it would require Trump to either resign the peach were simply not run for a second term. The indications are that there is not going to be one of those. You know, huge revelations coming out of this report, so far so far that's the case. And and, but I think I think I want trying to talk about here, though, is a very different issue. And that is the support for a candidate like Trump who's who simply wants to turn government around and who wants to at least talks a good game about the working class and try to keep jobs in America, and that sort of thing and the other factor here is so far the Democrats have not really put out an all star team of candidates yet. I mean, I think we've got a lot of second-stringers out there running around trying to, you know, get attention and perhaps get nominated. I don't see, you know, a formidable character yet. To run against Trump that may that may change, you know, when the next month or so of Joe Biden jumps into the race. I think he would be a very formidable care kit candidate. But but so far, I just I think Trump has an upper hit and his approval ratings are going up, you know, despite the fact that he's basically he stumbled several times every week. I mean, objectively, so I mean, I think the. You know, the the grocery with north Korea North Korea were largely a failure. And and I think Trump got hoodwinked by the North Koreans, and you know. But I think this is a major factor as long as the economy keeps cooking..
