"Patrick dot com, Twitter handle and DP show. Frank on his solo, who covers the nets. He will join us coming up at the top of next hour. Mike tannenbaum, the former general manager, former NFL executive appears regularly on many of ESPN studio programs and one of the smarter NFL people I've ever been around. Mike joins us on the program. Mike, I was mentioning this prior to the commercial break. I thought the big winner, one of the big winners yesterday, was two a ton of iloa because at the start of the season, it felt like the dolphins said, if this doesn't go well, we still have some draft picks and we could use that to take a quarterback here. You're going to probably pick up his fourth year, his option here after this next season with what he's doing this year. What do you think the dolphins said about tua without saying anything yesterday? Yeah, Dan, great to be with you. And I completely agree with you. You know, it's interesting when you look at next year's first round, Seattle with Gino Smith playing really good Philadelphia, who has Yale and hers playing well. And then Houston is Detroit. Those are the four teams that have two first round picks. And now Miami is one of 5 teams that doesn't have a first round pick. So I completely agree with you. I think they send a massive message that, hey, two is our guy. And look, let's face it, when he's healthy, he's played well this year. Now, if I'm them, I have to hold my breath a little bit in terms of can he get through the rigors of a 17 game season, I would fortify the offensive line, but clearly when you look at winners in Lewis, losers, I would put two at the very top. Bradley Chubb going to the dolphins and I understand Denver saying all right, we're not going anywhere. We're not going to pay this guy a $100 million, I guess, moving forward. Give me the logic of what Denver did and what Miami is doing. I don't like it for Denver because it sends the wrong message, which is, hey, we acquired Russell Wilson. We should be trying to win as many games as possible. It sends a terrible message that, hey, even though we may have hit on baron browning and shortly Randy Gregory was a big off season acquisition, Bradley chubbs a young really productive pass rusher when he's healthy. So I want to keep those players even if I have to franchise them.

"So Michael, when I say utility in the context of NFTs, what comes to mind? Well, that's actually been a hot topic lately. Certain NFT projects started off as really just art projects, right? They showcased the art and digital form, a lot of people to buy it. Instead of a canvas though, the medium was an NFT. Yeah, that's true. Art with a smart contract built in that actually proves you own that piece of art, but I asked about utility. Yeah, okay, you're right. You're right. And that's a hot topic because so many NFT projects these days, the art is there, but people want to know what else they actually get from the art. Does it come with access to the artists, the ability to get in on future projects, any kind of IP rights? Can you resell it? Can you license your character? What does the NFT holder get beyond the ownership of this jpeg? So there's really all sorts of detail that come along with an NFT. We covered a lot of them actually in the last episode. Yeah, we did for sure. What if I told you that a recent NFT that I bought in on? A part of the utility was a handshake from Stanley from the office. Wait, like, an actual handshake. Does it come with one of his signature scowls? And eye rolls do? No, no, but it did come with a big smile. No, Stanley doesn't smile. Okay. Stanley doesn't smile. But the actor who portrays Stanley in the legendary television series The Office, Leslie David baker, well, he actually has a great smile. Well, I'm assuming that the NFT you're talking about must be that cameo pass. As that's what today's episode is all about, but a handless shave from Stanley, you gotta tell me more about this. All right, well, we're gonna get into it today right after we roll this intro. Welcome to rocket ship FM, rocket ship FM is produced in partnership with product collective. We are your hosts, Michael sokka, and I'm Mike belsito. Okay, Mike, today's episode is all about the cameo pass. A brand new web three NFT project from the web two company cameo. Yeah, you might be familiar with cameo. It's a platform that you could use to get celebrities and other influencers to send video messages to, well, pretty much anybody you want. Like, this one. What's up guys? It's three time NFL pro bowler Josh cribs. I just want to say congratulations to Tracy and fife. Welcoming your new baby boy, Bernie. No, I'm just kidding. Your new baby boy Owen. I was just kidding, guys. That's a joke, 'cause you guys are brown's fans and Mike said your boy Mike said he was suggesting that you name your baby boy, Bernie. I think Bernie kosar, and look, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart bag for continuing to support the browns and being huge browns fans. Listen, it's because of our browns fans and fans. Wait, did you really send this cameo to somebody? Of course I did. My buddy fife and his wife Tracy, they had their first born child, a baby boy Owen and I was so pumped for them. And I thought, well, it'd be pretty cool if uncle Mike could get Cleveland brown's legend Josh cribs to wish them well. And yeah, I might have suggested that they named their son Bernie after Bernie kosar, but they didn't listen to me. Well, I'm not surprised he did this and now what? An NFT of the cameo used? Not exactly, not exactly. But just about two months ago, cameo did launch cameo pass their new web three project. And that's what we're going to be digging into here. Okay, so how did you find out about cameo past to begin with? All right, well, I've had my eye out to get involved with a new NFT project. I wanted to get in on the beginning and we heard an episode one and two. I already had my first official NFT from the tilt, but I wanted to keep things going. I wanted to learn even more. I felt like the best way for me to do that was to get in on the very beginning to actually join during the mint of an NFT. Basically be a part of the community when the community itself was just being formed. Okay, so all the projects in the world, all these NFT projects. And you went with cameo pass? Well, back in February, you know, I started reading about it. There were outlets like TechCrunch and fast company. They were reporting on the launch of cameo pass. And in this fast company article by Nicola port, she reports, well, I'll just quote her here. The celebrity video shout out platform cameo announced that it's getting into NFTs, starting on February 17th. Fans of the 50,000 athletes musicians and other influencers who populate the platform, they'll be able to mint a new cameo pass via open sea. The NFTs at a current cost of about $550 will give people exclusive access to cameo events, such as parties hosted at the company's Beverly Hills villa. Meet and greet, merch drops and celebrity q-and-as. It's interesting. I mean, the fact that they're getting publicity right out of the gate, it's a good sign, right? It means there's some interests and buzz. Yeah, and that's from mainstream press, too. I mean, so many times these NFT projects in the early days, they struggled to get even the more obscure blogs to post about them. But cameo was getting some big media players to give them the attention before it's meant. And they were getting people in the web three world to talk about the project too. Like for instance, the YouTube channel NFT verse. In early February, I saw a video there talking about cameo pass as one of the hyped collections that was soon to be launching. Here's NFT verse with its take on cameo pass here. The next NFT collection we're going to be talking about here is coming from cameo, right? And cameo as many of you know is this like social media network where celebrities and prominent figures can send DMs or send personalized messages to fans, right? It's like a way of interacting with your fan base and your audience in a much more intimate way. And the company has now decided that they will be releasing an NFT collection surrounding this overall concept to help better connect fans and creators and celebrities with one another. That gives some of my final thoughts on what I think about the cameo pass and the NFT collection that cameo is creating here. It gives me a lot of the same sense of what I think be Friends is to GaryVee. If you're not familiar with what V friend is, it's an NFT collection that was developed and created by GaryVee, one of the most prominent influencers and entrepreneurs across the entire world has an incredible reach and is an extremely well respected and well-known within the NFT community. Well, GaryVee's collection V Friends has done really well as connecting the people who have purchased those NFTs with himself personally. And I think that's what cameo is trying to do with their past here by connecting fans and just regular people with creators, celebrities as well as access to certain events that will be created by them. So for me personally, I would say this is under the radar of a lot of people right now. And I am pretty excited for this NFT collection. I think there is a good possibility that there could be a lot of utility for these types of NFTs. And like we have seen with B Friends, which doesn't have the greatest art of all time, but it does have a tremendous amount of utility and great level of access to Gary V himself. So if we're able to get some of that access or a certain level of that access, equivalent to the level of access to what V Friends offers, I think these will be pretty interesting. Okay, they make the comparison there to V Friends by Gary Vaynerchuk. And those are some pretty big shoes to fill. Yeah, and look, I didn't take that to mean that cameo pass would definitely become as hot as V Friends is. I mean, I don't think it's fair to assume that, but the utility part of it. I mean, there are some similarities, right? Okay, so back to the utility. What did you mean there? Well, the Friends, right? You weren't buying them for the art. I mean, no offense to GaryVee, but the art is not that great. I mean, it looks sort of like my 9 year old son drew the pictures. But it's totally okay, 'cause V Friends was more about the benefits that came beyond the art. By that I mean access to vcon, Gary V's mega event that's sort of like Coachella for entrepreneurs and web three enthusiasts. It came with access to Gary V like literally access to them. Some of the NFTs they actually get you personal video calls or even lunch with GaryVee. And the take care is that the utility that comes.

Well, it's open there. It's there on the other side. The well, here we are again on right. So, yeah, his point pointing east Yeah. East of the track back here, all right. David joins us on the program. David Good morning. Thanks for calling Wi. Bc Yeah, I've got to thank you for Danny. I've got a Patriot tank for my well and when I pleased a little valve on top to add air to I get water out of That's a bad sign. Yeah, I figure I'm going to replace it. Uh, it's about 45 inches tall about 16 inch diameter. When I mentioned that the hardware store, they said they're different sizes. I need to stay with the same size or does a different you do not know. Yeah, size size matters. But it is important that you get something with the right amount of volume. We have tall, skinny ones. We have short fat one. Some people put them down across basis. Some people put them. In a little corner in the garage. I would I would make sure that you just get how many people are in the family. There are two of us, Uh, we're old and retired. All right. Here's what I want you to do. I want you to call the folks at C. N. J. They'll help you size it. They'll point in the right directions. You used to be well extra had about four different models. But give him a call. It's 852. Well, 317852. Well, just say you're one of Denny's buddies, and he said you'd help me size. A pressure tank. But you know, once that bladder gets compromised, there's no way of fixing it. So you do have to replace it. Okay. Okay. All right. One other comment, though I miss your 7 to 9 evening shows through the week. You know, that's very kind of you. Alison is helping me put some of those shows on a YouTube channel. So far. I haven't been been banned. But you know what? Alison helped me get those all organized and I just did one and send it off to somebody's of an interview We did on July 4th with Chuck Yeager. And it just brought back great memories. But I love doing that show and I love doing the interviews, but I couldn't get any sleep. I was getting by on three and four hours sleep because I had to go back to work. 56 o'clock next morning, So thanks for the kind words David Appreciate it. Sally joins us on the program. Hi, Sally. Hi. I have two questions for you. Okay, first. And what time? In the summertime. Do I put down my crabgrass preventer for fall? All right. So you would put their crabgrass preventer down in August? Mid August, and you're not doing that. Obviously, for crabgrass, you're doing that to prevent winter annuals. Mainly chickweed and hand bet so it is a crabgrass preventer and you'll put it down in mid August. Okay. Sounds good. My next question is the hard one. A few weeks ago, I heard both of you talking about pulling buying weed. I would like to use this. Describe what Bind weed looks like it comes out of the ground at the stalk of hide ranches or some of your big bushes. And it is really, really thin and it just what it does is it comes up along the stocks and then it just starts going around and around and around and you can, you can almost watch it on a daily basis. It will grow two or three inches in the time grab hold of it and Poland The whole Bush will start to move because it just all wound divine weed. It's the devil's weed. I'll tell you what I fight that on on those hydrangeas. Pat sold me and it'll make a pre people with O C D kind of like it. Oh, God, I got I got O C D. And I hate it's kind of like popping bubbles. Okay, well, popcorn. I have it in my backyard. And I thought I had gotten rid of it because it took me over a year to even find out what it was. And I thought after listening to you guys, maybe they gave me the wrong information. But it grows in like in my yard in my flower bed, and that might be creeping Charlie. What does the leaf look like? No, it looks like a morning glory leaf, and it will grow. Six inches overnight..

Maybe you can just sorta summarize what we do know at this point sure. Let me mention that. Brian coleman is with us heroes as brian. That's see that's that's what sort of an event today is. Yes it's it's very. What can i say disconcerting for all of us So what we do know. We can find from flight aware dot com shows. That launchpad was leaving an airport. South of austin flying back to his home airport in killeen texas short flight. Only a little over one hundred miles. he did have to deviate a little bit to the east To avoid weather it didn't really look like that. Big a deviation so it was only probably a few miles out of the way the very end of the track ends up at twenty three hundred feet which is about fifteen hundred feet. Ag also at that point he must gone below the The re the reception rain for a dsp data but what he did do within the last Two minutes or so. It's clear that he had Altered course about fifty degrees so that he was lined up with the final for the clean airport and the last data shows him. You know basically established On the extended center line a little over three miles away from the airport. We know that he did crash in a field Short of the airport I talked with a reporter. Who was at the scene today and i asked her. How big was the field. Was it smaller than football field. And she said yes and there were a lot of trees around there and apparently there was a fire after the the crashes well the the last two two and a half minutes of the flight shows him in a descent and also slowing fairly dramatically in the two and a half minutes he he dropped seven hundred feet from about Eight hundred feet from about thirty one hundred feet down to twenty three hundred feet is ground. Speed went from one hundred and fifty one miles an hour or two seventy four miles per hour. And that's pretty much. All we know the the weather at the airport. I just for the first time pulled up the the me a couple of minutes ago this would have been about.
