That messy mix of freezing rain slate and just plain rain will change over to rain from east to west over the next several hours the big trouble area for the next couple of hours. Well, northwest and west of the metro area. And then for the Sanford, rain heavy at times, 45 to 50 are high. Randall taper off tonight to a few showers lows in the 40s, Arctic cold front comes through tomorrow morning, Reynolds changed over to a period of snow. It could be some light it came in like she's many on the grass, but it's going to turn windy and sharply colder. Cross-country storm threatens 150 million with ice and snow
"Mother Nature is giving us all another reason to stay home, at least for part of this weekend. Snow and ice are in the forecast with an ice storm warning that starts at 7 A.m. tomorrow until seven Sunday morning for the far southern suburbs. This includes Spotsylvania, Stafford and Orange counties in Virginia and Charles and ST Mary's counties in Maryland. Upto a quarter inch of ice may accumulate, leading to slick roads and the risk of power outages and down trees. The Washington DC Region Is Under Tornado Watch, Flash Flood Warning
"It's going to be a stormy evening around the region. There is a threat of tornadoes. But right now we've got that severe thunderstorm warning.
