The segment problem. So is the Corona virus pandemic going to get better or worse? A lot of people are asking that question. Yeah. Is the Corona virus pandemic going to get better or worse? And that really depends on who you ask Scott Gola. He's the former commissioner of the FDA Sunday. He predicted the U. S death toll could reach 400,000 by the end of January. White House coronavirus Response coordinator Deborah Burkes wasn't very optimistic, either, saying a vaccine isn't going to save us from the current surge. However, Operation Warp speed adviser most F belief is whistling a little bit of a happier tune. He says. There is light at the end of the tunnel, predicting a drop in Kobe cases by the end of January. Life will return to normal in April or May, he says. So I guess it's just who you ask now. The statesman is reporting this morning that we're nearing capacity for those needing intensive care treatment there, the Statesman reports. Local health officials say that could be attributed to residents ignoring the coronavirus recommendations with some gathering with love. One sub, you know Thanksgiving during this pandemic. Now the latest hospital capacity report Robert Lees Friday has 483 ICU beds available and ascension Bayliss Scott and White health, saying David's and those air 85 87% occupied Now and of the 2473 total staff. Meds within the hospital of all three healthcare systems 75% were occupied Austin Travis County health officials said Monday night. They reported 246 Corona virus Patients are in the hospital with 75. I see you and 44 on ventilators for comparison of this. I see you capacity was an 85% November the 15th, which was the week before Thanksgiving, However, total hospitalizations were a little bit higher compared to Friday. It's 79% trust those numbers. I guess. I mean, that's the number of people in the hospital. You know, I don't I don't I don't know. I don't know what one thing I do know is they keep talking about capacity. We've been dealing with this for nine months. And you haven't gotten more beds. You haven't gotten more ventilators. How about the 1500 hospital that you put up on auditorium Shores or in the convention center? How about the convention center's That's still in. Is it there? Did they tear it down? I don't know. Cost a million bucks to get that happened. Runners set up the convention center to take in 1500. Patients never got close to the idiot. Is it still available? I don't know. I do not know There's been no mention of it. It's not available, then that tells you that they don't believe their numbers either. Don't know. We've had no status update whatsoever about that for months, as far as I know that I don't have no idea that still ready and waiting for the possibility of that, Or did we spend over a million bucks to set that thing up? And then they quickly toward down now, A lot of people are still calling for Mayor Steve Adler to to resign. Yeah, Some people have a conflict. Doctor s got to resign because he paused on allowing the mayor to come back from his vacation. He paused. And before increasing some of these restrictions, which means he was kind of, you know part of the scam. If you will, the lie the deception the premeditated lapse in judgment well, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee He doubled down again calling for the resignation of some of these hypocrites. A lot of people have lost their jobs. Ah, lot of the people whose kids were having to stay home from school. They're missing their work because they can't Go to work. They have to stay home and take care of kids who schools are closed. This hypocrisy is terrible. But you know who hadn't missed a single paycheck. People working in government City state. Federal they all got every paycheck. Here's what we need to do these mayors and governors who have ordered people to miss their jobs. Let them take a pay cut. Let them do without their pay for a month and say, I'm not going to ask you to do something that I'm not willing to do that be one thing, and the fact is The just glaring hypocrisy What it reveals. Is this Sandra, these people don't believe in a lockdown. They don't believe that social distancing and wearing a mass works, because if it did, they'd be doing it. Instead. They just want to impose these restrictions on other people. Personally, I do believe that we ought to be wearing masks and social distancing. And I'm not ordering other people to do it. I'm doing it because it's the right thing to do These folks who are ordering it, but not doing it. They should resign. No doubt about that. He's talking specifically about Mayor Steve Adler. I think it's not about controlling the virus. It's about controlling the population. It's about people exhibiting their power and being power crazy, and the sad thing is a lot of people are just going along with it. In California churches were told they couldn't have more than 10 people in the church. Now you could go to a strip club. I jokingly suggested on Sean Hannity's program that pastors auto stand up and say they're gonna open a strip club for church strip off their tie in the middle of the sermon and have as many people as they wanted. From California Pastors actually did that Rob McCoy at God Speak Calvary Chapel in 1000 Oaks. It was hilarious, but it made the point. If you're going to say that it's so dangerous to have more than 10. People didn't be consistent, and that's not what's happening and Hear this all the time. Let's listen to the science. Okay, Let's listen to the science and the science doesn't tell us that outdoor dining is really harmful. So why are we doing it Because there's some government bureaucrat or elected official. Who has it in his head that he's a prince and everybody else is a peasant and it's disgusting. It's immoral and it's certainly not. How we're supposed to be is a country where our public servants are to serve us. Not us. Serve them. It's a good points their former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee, I don't think there's good science that shows that indoor dining at restaurants is is a bad thing, either. I haven't seen you Science haven't any data on that either. Erin in South Austin. Good morning, Erin. Hi, guys. How are you doing? Great. What's on your mind? I'm gonna agree this The numbers are cooked. You can Google Time magazine article into 18 Every single year in this country, 30 to 60,000 people die from the flu every single year. The ICUs run at 95 to 100% of capacity. Every single winner in this country. Thea other thing is, is that the governor's He's missing a point there, too. They're trying to kill small businesses on purpose and kill people who go to churches with.

Let's talk a little politics here because we're looking tonight at the. Vice. Presidential. Debate What do you look for to happen in that one? Well I think it's going to be very important. Vice President pence goes directly asked Tomah Harris and there's plenty to go for he didn't have to be mean or unkind or interrupt, or but one of the questions that I hope he poses to her is to ask her what was it that she was so proud of regarding a shape of Blake in Wisconsin that he she actually went to his hospital room I mean. This is the same Comma Harris that said, we have to believe the women during the Break Cavanaugh hearings well, Jacob Blake was being arrested for sexual assaults against his ex wife. Wanted and she believed that woman and instead she went to hospital of Jacob Life. And said, she was proud of it yet when two police officers in our own home state of California was shot in the face she didn't go to the hospital and never said she was proud of them. If I were Vice. President. Pence I would absolutely insists that she answered that question just what was it? She was so proud of. I think that's important also. why was I'm not sure if she dad but certainly members of her staff were contributing money to the bail fund. for. And many apples. I. Why didn't out against that? That would be another very important question ended she reprimand our fire, the staffers who contributed bail money for people who were burning small businesses down. Right. There's a lot there. What do you think about? Chatting with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee here. What do you think about? The, lay of the land right now less than a month to go before the boat and the president. Having, contracted the corona virus and several members of his staff. And he's still got to stay. Inside the White House for a while yet, it's uncertain whether he'll be. Able to do person debate in sports terms you would say, I suppose at the moment. the Joe Biden. Has the momentum. Talk about what you see happening between now and November third bobby honest with you I think I've ever before her determines Joe Biden and in the same sentence. Joe Barely Shuffles up to an event that is Campaign of answered by NBC with supposedly. Voters, every one of whom were very decided for Joe Biden before they ever went in there. I think the president's GonNa surprise people just like you did four years ago I told people on Fox News four years ago president trump is gonNA win they laughed at me that challenge me they told me that there was no pathway and I said, let me tell you. You guys have been sitting in your bubbles in Washington and New York you'd never leave I've been all over the country and I'm seeing what I'm seeing and I truly don't think you are appreciating the level of enthusiasm that's out there for this candidate. Nobody's enthusiastic for Joe Biden but there are people unquestionably who are enthusiastic and hating Donald Trump and I don't mean just disliking they hate him they prayed for him not to get well from Cova. That's where this country is, and it's also why it's so important that people go vote and they recognize that there's more at stake than Democrats, and Republicans in the left and the right. Of. This really is an election is what kind of country we're going to be and I'm not talking personality I'm talking about whether we adhere to the principles of Christianity. capitalism, the constitution or whether we abandon those and we go now for mob rule we go for a huge big government that shuts churches down but not casinos and whether or not we move toward socialism and give up the idea of private property rights. It's a very scary time you look for example at. if Biden whims and the Democrats take the Senate I happen to think the Senate is going to go whichever way the the presidential vote goes, but suppose they get both. they they absolutely will fill the FILIBUSTER ANNEX WASHINGTON DC and probably Puerto Rico. and then it's over yet gary the problem that people are maybe not fully appreciating his. The proposals the Democrats are making, which is statehood for DC, and Puerto Rico. The stacking of the court by adding enough members to ensure that they get whatever they want. And trying to Gerrymander and also rig elections by voting without accountability essentially takes the Voice of people across America away and I know there are people who think well, let's get rid of the electoral college will states like Nebraska will no longer even matter in the presidential election neither will Arkansas. Five states will determine who the president is GONNA be and everybody else will be spectators, and at that point, it really won't matter a lot how you vote. So there are some very very. Important issues that are gonNA be decided by. Virtue of who is elected president and who gets the Senate and who gets the house, and if people think they can sit it out I. Hope they'll rethink it. One of the reasons I'm going to be an Omaha is to be there in support of a Christian school and I'm more convinced than ever. But the future of our country depends upon parents sending their kids to a school that will teach them about how America Really came to be who we are what makes us unique special exceptional because I'm just stunned that kids growing up today go to public schools in states across this country where they are taught that America is a terrible evil country that it's awful things and that we ought to not be proud of it we ought to be of it and that's why I'm so grateful for the person schools across America who are changing that narrative. Wish, we had more time to chat. Mike Huckabee. Thank you. He's here tomorrow night from Christian Academy. I I got to admit I'm not hundred sure about ticket availability. I suggest to go to their website at O- mock Christian Academy. I it is an event tomorrow evening and Mike's the keynote speaker..

"Welcome to the program. So here's here's the theory. That stood I've been kicking around that vine is doing extraordinarily well right now in in polls. And that's because he hasn't been in the hot seat everybody thinks they know who he is the the rest of the democratic field is so crazy, and this actually gives me hope the Democrats are not crazy. They're they're just blind. But they're not crazy. Because if you see Bernie Sanders was leading the field go over some of these poll numbers since Bernie Sanders Joe Biden entered the field. Listen to this. Okay. Let's put these up as we go. This is we've got a bunch of different polls start with this is morning jolt. Yep. Seventeen candidates are under five percent. So there's twenty two candidates seventeen or under five percent over at five then Buddha Buddha judge at six. You have a warrant at eight percent. Then Sanders at nineteen in that whole and finally Biden at twenty forty forty percent as tweets up by twenty one points now forty percent in twenty two candidate field is insane insane insane. Let me give you a couple of other real quick. Again. Another poll sixteen candidates are under five percent. Then you have a Harris at five percent Rourke at six percent, then Buddha. Judge at seven percent followed by Warren at eight percent and Sanders at fifteen and then finally Joe Biden at thirty nine percent. He's up by twenty four and that these are all polls released since he announced. Couple more real quick sixteen candidates under five percent in this poll Aurora with five percents than Harris at eight percent voltage at ten percent. Sent Sanders at eleven and then Warren at twelve only time at warrant is a head of Sandra toast. Yeah. Biden at thirty eight. He's he's got a twenty six point lead over this field in Cana huge huge fan. He's going up. He's gaining. Yeah. Since he entered last one here real quick before we his it's pretty amazing. This one is Harris is seventeen candidates are under five percent. But at the twenty two candidate field. It's crazy. Harris at six percent. Elizabeth Warren at seven percent p Buddha. Judge at eight percent Bernie Sanders at fourteen and show fight in at forty six percent. A thirty two point lead. This is incredible. And and what's interesting is one of the lessons. You learned from the two thousand sixteen campaign. Everyone's like all the poll sucked the lesson from the two thousand sixteen campaign is actually the opposite. When you talk about the primary, which is we should have listened to the polls. The polls were telling us forever that Donald Trump was winning people were just finding reasons including myself, he had to say, I don't think this is going to hold show show the first one where where Donald Trump got in. Yeah. He got in. This is a month into the campaign. This is the first poll really with him in the campaign. Now, remember, this is he had just come down the escalator. Everyone was saying there's no way this guy is going to win yet. Here's what the field looks like this this point in two thousand fifteen it was eight to this under five percent of the vote. Then you had casick at five percent. You had Rubio at six. Sent you'll said crews at five percent Paul at six percent. Mike Huckabee at six percent, Ben Carson had six percent at this point in two thousand fifteen Jeb Bush had ten percent and Scott Walker. Remember that thirteen percent he was in second place. But Donald Trump lead the field, however journal Donald Trump lead the field with twenty percent kit a seven point lead. And some of these polls Joe Biden has a thirty two point lead. Now, it's his blow here if he chokes this. It's a choke doesn't mean it's going to hold. It's interesting though, to see if he's going to be able to do this and fascinating to think about we couldn't get a poll from may two thousand fifteen that showed Trump at the race because Trump hadn't joined the race in may of two thousand fifteen he didn't do that until June. So we have twenty two candidates already in the race before Trump had even announced glass tight. And I think it's because people think lunchbox Joe is not a crazy socialist scary. Newsradio twelve hundred w a. You know, the ticking that you hear is the second moving closer and closer.
CNN's April Ryan and Fox's Mike Huckabee Have Twitter Beef
"One time GOP presidential candidate and Fox News contributor. Mike Huckabee has clashed with a tweet by CNN's April. Ryan after she criticises daughter White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders on the heels of the Muller reports release the controversy started after Ryan called for Sanders firing. In light of special counsel, Robert Muller's claim that Huckabee Sanders misled the media during press briefings, no Ryan said, there's a lack of credibility, and you have to start lopping off heads to watch my copy reminded, folks. Well, especially in light of the fact that Sarah Palin got pilloried because she talked about targeting races now targeting races in politics means that you pick out races that you want to win. But she was said to be trying to incite violence, then April Ryan who's supposed to be an objective journalist is not objective journalism. How does a person sit there in that space at the White House press room claiming to be a reporter and a journalist and have such over the top opinions about the White House press secretary who does. Yes, happens to be my daughter, so sure pops a little sensitive about it. But I just think that it was outrageous and CNN, of course, never called her out. Neither did the White House Correspondents Association. That's. It's not the kind of comments that should be celebrated among journalists. It's ridiculous Huckabee. "You know way too much about it. Yeah. Yeah. Man. It's interesting now, they're also spending money on an Oscars campaign. They're spending for the movie Roma which is like. A black and white foreign language film with a good shot of winning good shot of winning best picture, but they are spending more than anyone has spent on an Oscar campaign since the social network they're spending twenty five million dollars on the just the marketing awards campaign. Yes. Or the movie twenty five million dollars is the tap. Yes. What was the production budget of the film? Fifteen million. Sounds good. Great. And also how many academy voters are their bright like couple thousand. We'll know that includes Golden Globes to I'm sure I think it does. Because man, the Golden Globes they were handing out fucking milk crack pies like fucking. They were offering me boxes. They're like, hey, do you wanted to take this home? I'm like, what's a milk. Crack pie milk. Bark the bakery. They good pie, which, you know, the name whatever, you know, the bad, but it is definitely highly habit-forming like cigarettes, right? Pie nicotine, that'd be less popular, very delicious. But I mean like you go to those parties. And I mean, those things alone cost, you know, millions of dollars if not hundreds of thousand dollars, I mean. Yes, millions. I think too depending right. If you're going to rent out, like a huge section of the Hilton hotel, then build all the infrastructure to tended to make it look like not the Beverly Hilton. Yeah. And then from there, you have all the catering the cost of the DJ's. I'm gonna give you half a million. I could pull that party off. Yeah. Probably okay. So. For sure I'm my math could be all wrong. But it wouldn't like, for example, the Amazon one that was upstairs they fucking completely like they built a new floor. They put all this other shit in. And I think when you I think. Yeah. Maybe I guess, yeah. Yeah. On the order of a million. Sure. But I think also when I guess you consider all the printing that has to be done all the extra parties into vents that are around every single thing like in every city, probably have all I'm sort of implying is they basically just give ten grand theft or your cat, number right? Worth the shit. Like, what's the difference? And those gifts man, those gifts cost money to what I think that's only the anyone. But again, my pretty cool par fives. Yeah. We'll just a normal guy. Like, look like sure you want to do the tenure challenge. Ten years ago. Yeah. I was just punching up jokes for Mike Huckabee. And now looking me Globes. I'm shoulder to shoulder with Anthony Scaramucci I these. mean, these the he was he was there. And I was like what What the the fuck. fuck you doing here? And shame on the dude who snuck your ass in here. I think this is good for both your resumes. You will be punching up jokes for Huckabee and Andrew you can be an event planner for Netflix version. Yes to any streaming also quick thing on that ten year challenge thing because someone at wired magazine wrote like a little thing just flippantly had a tweet about everyone on social media during the tenure channels like this was in two thousand nine me in two thousand nineteen had a much darker view of it. And it was saying like what if you know because I think it started on Facebook. Like what if they were trying to train their algorithm nasty understand aging? Yeah. And you just make it much easier. Because a lot of people like world information's out there. It's there. Anyway, it's it's like, but what if you had everyone organized side by side photos for it. Yeah. And knowing that it was a fixed date range ten years. Yeah. Right. And then, you know, and it's human selected to be sort of Representative of two euros. But there it's all about a person clearly identifying himself as a thing, you know, that there is human in for. Formation going in there. I this is a slightly off topic..

"Andrew beck. And should we just come off the top rope with a little bit more Mike Huckabee? Yeah. Fine. I mean, yeah. I can't get enough of this. I mean, this this next one just let me just set this up for you. It was story about I think like a guy who tried to steal a bicycle and was like really stupid about it. I don't know. It was probably from like, you know, one of those like news of the stupid dumb criminals websites where I think guy was just basically a very inept bicycle thief. And then this is him just given him the fucking smoke. Okay. So just put on your protective belts. I wonder if they can charge him for impersonating a criminal. R maybe attempted theft without using a brain. Not sure, but he's probably not going to be a big wheel in prison. Please clap. All right. Jeb Bush in their police clap. Oh my God. What do we want to break? This joke down. Yes. Yeah. Talking about this morning. So we're trying to figure out what that big wheel in prison. Joke means is it that we'll sounds like deal, and he's going to be a big deal in prison. And we'll because he's. Or is being anti will like a thing that people used to say, I just assumed like Huckabee is just like, well, that's not a normal bicycle, you know, one enormous wheel in one tiny wheel and you just ride on it with tiny Christ. I'll write tell he reds bicycle. Yeah. Yeah. I think he's what he's doing is actually very genius. It works on two levels. He's saying is you're not going to be a big deal in prison. Right. And then he's also specifically calling out the big wheel. Oh, a big week big wheel member of left. Right. And that makes sense that he would say he's not going to be a big wheel in prison. Yeah. That's called a fucked up. Joke is terrible stupid jokes really been no. It's like many of his tweets when he's trying to be funny. Like hurts. My head kind of. I do think I have to assume that he's writing all material that like there's no way that he has a right Right engine. engine if but like, he no he has doesn't have that. Do the righteous tweets. Oh, does he him in that guy? There's but there's a dude that was like on. I mean, maybe he's just a Twitter right wing bullshitter. But I think he says like, you know, contribute jokes too like at. There is a dude who I follow who is always claiming that he he's Mike huckabee's writer and his like brilliant once again. Perfect fit. But I'm pretty sure that that is joking. But I mean, it's a little bit like mad, libs. Like, he kind of has the delivery of a type of standup. My wait. Hold on your in the nineteen sixties. He has a this in twenty seventeen someone was bragging about having this Joe being okay? Okay. Let's chip Hinkle men. I think that might be I think that might be the fake. Yeah. I think he might be joking. Chip Henkel men. That sounds like the the because it sounds so on brand for a person who would right Mike huckabee's jokes. Yeah. We're just the perfect nexus like could be real. Also like that's because he does he does. Dennis Miller too. But that's what I I like the idea though, Mike Huckabee being so protective with his art where he's like, I'm sorry. I can only trust me to write these jokes. Right like, and he's like people trying like give them. No. Like, I said, I got it. That he writes is like can it be a big wheel? I'm surprised today. Something about being chains, right? It's I mean that humor is like the dumb stupid news dumb. Criminal humor is like inherently very problem. Got the goal this Heddle in robbery. I mean, that's also. That is approximately guy same level. I'm trying to come up with the crushing it. I should have a segment where it's just like a like huckabee's writing room punch. Punch it. Yeah. Yeah. Huckabee's punch up is that a whole new podcast. Oh my God. Can oh listen to the monologue. You're down every right? Every week pitch punching up yet because it is a weekly show. "We get back to commenting Kant on a Matthew. Right. All right, guys. Let's talk about Mike Huckabee. He has a what what seems like his answer to the daily show twenty five years later, a weekly show on TBN. What does that trinity broadcasting network baby? Okay. My bath and fucking TBN at the gym yesterday. Hell, yeah. I think it was like it was all right wing shed. I was like what is this? I think was TVN right? Were they playing sid roths? It's supernatural. I don't I only noticed because all of the ads were for like low cheaters. No, no, it was for like call in or like by this Trump commemorative coins shit like that what? And then and then the station ID came up, and it was like watch TBN. I think I have TB I. Yeah. So he's got, you know, look, we're always saying we knew the conservatives have been praying to the heavens for a weapon in the culture wars. To- pony the lives, and you know, again, let me just read the description of this show. Mike huckabee's weekly show. It says former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee hostess weekly our that includes a monologue commenting on issues of the day. A question and answer session with the studio audience, a panel of commentators and interviews with special guests each episode closes with a song by quote house band, consisting of members of the Fox News staff wolf, I don't even know what this means as depressingly almost exactly the format of the Llosa's racist pilot. I did a couple years. Well, there's nothing necessarily wrong with the format. It was weird that you closed with a house band consisting of members of the Fox News staff. All they're so good though. But we so we want to just check in a couple of times with what Huckabee has to say as he owns the libs. So let's check in with one of his takes, but ingest their first four days, they managed to set a new land speed record for careening from reasonable impersonation of a rational human being to full on that poop loonies. Now, I'm next Thursday. I have expected them to be climbing to the top of the capitol dome while screaming gibberish and waving flaming torches. Here's just a little recap of their version of Maga make America grown again. I said BankAmerica grown again. Wow. If you look at if you actually look at the fucking clip, the video audience is all like sep-, dole and Octo and Nanno pets generes, very elderly white audience. Yeah. He's gonna have Alan Dershowitz on. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So that'll be a lati-. Great. Yeah. But again, we'll we have all kinds of other clips from there. Yeah. We're going to continuously check in with Huckabee. But yeah, that writing style of his translates as well, as we all imagined it would to out loud joke telling that poop, crazy, man. I can't believe I didn't get an interview for this writings talking shameful. It is lovely to see Republicans like are conservatives finally like every time they compete in the marketplace of ideas on comedy, it is the fucking best yet the show cost a billion dollars. So good. "So what do you think? There's a little sample of the president and the cabinet room. You went on like, I said, we would we have more that would wind up being more than the rest of the show. He takes his time, and he goes through and they're asking him questions, and he gives the media more access than any president. I can remember. I don't think you will ever hear anybody complain for the media because of the fact that they love as much as they hate him. They love the fact that they have this enormous access to him and he loves them. He has a need a desire of inclination, whatever you wanna call it to have the media crowd around him and make him the story of the day, and it works, and that's exactly how he got elected and the other candidates, and I've I've talked to some of them. I I mean, they. Would just have kittens about the fact that they could not get any traction when they were running against him in two thousand seventeen I'm talking about the Republicans. Hillary also brought it up but everybody who ran against him said that he is a media vacuum. The back Hume goes to him. And. They. Huckabee would would you drove him crazy because he would be invited on some program to express his views on something. And the first question was Donald Trump said this, what do you think about it? Don't you want to know what I would have said as opposed to what I think about what he said. And I mean, he was right Mike Huckabee was like all the other candidates. Couldn't get traction. I see that. Continuing. I don't see that changing at people talk about the fact of of of how people hate Donald Trump. But. His his favorability numbers are are still underwater. But they're they're still hanging in there. They haven't really dropped out. He's got a very very loyal base. Mitt Romney's different around out there thinking, maybe I'll run against him. He didn't say that. But this. This hippies for Mitt Romney. And the Washington Post today, basically, says Trump isn't fit. Trump reaction was I thought he would be a team player. What do you make of this? What do you make what he was talking about in General Mattis? The fact that I gave him I gave him hundreds of billions of dollars. I gave him hundreds of billions of dollars. And he he was so thankful. But when it came to Afghanistan. What's he done for me? Donald Trump puts everything in a very personal position. What has he done for me? And what he says not too good. I want results. And he's talking about Afghanistan. He got his years a little wrong. It's been seventeen years, but it's been a long time. And a lot of people are going. What are we going to do? So I don't know whether Donald Trump who indicated before he's going to get rid of half the troops in Afghanistan. I don't know if he's going to get rid of the whole group sounds kind of like that's kind of where he's thinking. Plus his announcement last week that he was going to pull the troops out immediately from Syria. Now. Not so fast. Apparently, his generals had been talking to them. And the reporting is they told him that we need. A longer period of time. I think they said one hundred twenty days don't hold me to the time. But pretty fast, but he said one hundred twenty days minimum without everybody getting killed is the reporting. So apparently he is starting to slow down. Lindsey Graham also said he is now considering maybe a slower path. But he wants out and the libertarians out there. Oh my gosh. I was reading some of the commentary from Kato, and and the people at Kato the libertarian group there. A static is said this is the best thing he's ever done. This is the best president ever. This is these are the libertarian. So that's why I say for the Democrats who think it's going to be a cakewalk because Donald Trump is. So hated got an got to really rethink that. Because I don't know if he's all that hate it. Libertarians love what he's doing. Eight five five two nine five. Sixty six hundred Kevin in California. Kevin. Hi, you're on the Tom Sullivan show. Hey, thanks for taking my call. You bet. One thing that caught my ear is what he said he'd he'd be. You said some interesting things, but what he said, he agreed. General. My gosh. You don't you're never even in the service. Well, he went to a military academy. Got a private school military academy. Yeah. But he wasn't in the service because of bone Spurs, right? Right. So by not going in at you know, and maybe they contacted by different times. I guess, but he may have a justification in it that now technically I get the military why she's higher than a general? Yup. But to me, Tom, that's like me running around going. I would have made a great police chief, and I never was even in law enforcement. Well in those positions. You can't be appointed a general or police chief you do have to work your way up. So right. That's that. That's that's what you have to do. So that's the question is coming out as you've got all the way from general Mike Flynn who lasted what a couple of weeks to. Who was it? H R O my gosh, national security guy drawn a blank. But now, you got Madison you've got Kelly. And he's losing all these generals. He used to brag about the generals that he had HR McMaster. He bragged about those generals and. And every one of them's gone every one. Yeah. What do you make of that? Josh. Well, you were mentioning how many troops are around the world. But I think the thing is what might make them nervous about it. When you start pulling troops over there was actually action going on. That means you know, there's things happening there some of those things whether somebody's thinks are good or bad. There's there's big companies that are making a lot of money. So P says I'm gonna pull out of here. Remember, the old military complex that like? Gosh, the great great general Eisenhower talked about. Yup. Military industrial complex note. There's no there's no question that there's a lot of defense contractors out there that are probably pretty nervous about him indicating that he wants to get out of these wars. You got the libertarians going Yippee ya. It's about time. Somebody did this. You got all these different things going on at the same time. You got the phone call from the head of of Turkey Erawan saying I want I get out of Syria. So we can come in and wipe out the Kurds who are our allies. So he is the system says we have a civilian that runs. Our military. That's what's going on. He's he is the personification of what our how our system was designed that doesn't mean he's. The best that doesn't mean he's got getting it. Right. And the problem with all this is we don't know who's right because his decision about getting pulling troops out of Syria reducing troops in Afghanistan. Whatever else he's going to do. We won't know the results of that for at least a couple of years, right? Classified secrets we'll see that information. No. Appears on that day. But we saw when President Obama pull the troops out of Iraq. It didn't happen tomorrow. But it took a year or two and ISIS became a giant problem because of that. So it takes time for the dust to settle if you will. So we'll see what happens, but I find I find his his viewpoints on this. I I like to play them. So that everybody has a chance to hear Kevin. Thank you for the call phone number. Here is eight five five two nine five sixty six hundred or Tom Sullivan dot com. Some of you get pretty vicious the.
