It's a group that they claim was retooled coming into the year. We didn't see it early on in the season, but to Mike variable and the rest of that staff's credit, they've been able to write the ship, get them playing at a dynamic level, and now very much in control of their own destiny so much so that the AFC playoff picture would run through arrowhead. A team that had been playing exceptionally well, stubbed its toe and opened the door for the bottom of the AFC playoff picture. I'm not sure how to describe what we saw unfold with the Indianapolis Colts paint. I kept shying away to the point where I one of our teaser legs rather than include the colts. Went with the saints in their -6 and a half at the time we did envision them going to 7, which is where they ultimately closed. But it's like, we chose a non Wong teaser over the colts, because of what we kind of saw unfold there. And I just, I don't know. What was interesting to me though was we had a little battle on this total. And we leaned under initially and early on in the week and that was surprising for us based upon our numbers because we've been kind of the people controlling the over market when it comes to the golds this year. And there was a group that came in somewhere between 12 and 12, 20 eastern on game day and sent at least circa from 45 and a half to 47 basically in one move and 47 is a key. That trigger to buy for us. And to me, that was pretty much a dead knot under ten to three, two minutes before the half. You had two fourth down touchdowns in the game. Carson Wentz to your point threw up a prayer. It gets batted around twice then just chill out. He was waiting for the silver and black to collide. Just fall down in the air. Fortuitous bounce right into his hands and T but I was dancing in the back of the end zone. Yeah, so that was the gist of the scoring in that game. It played like a true playoff game. Now what does it mean for the colts? I think this is an imperfect team early on in the year we saw a team that was substantially better than where they started and saw a lot of value in them. I think their peak can be really good, but we've talked about some of their holes. And again, I still think Carson Wentz now he hasn't shown it the last two or three weeks. But leading up to the Arizona game or even the Patriots game, he was playing well better than perception. But is he a franchise quarterback? Probably not. Are there a ton of great weapons past Pittman on this offense? Not really in pitman's probably not a traditional number one at this point. It might be like a one B or one C or like you know a two a type receiver and then where are you deficient on defense? Well, it's in the secondary. And so as much as I love Chris Ballard and Frank Reich, if you look at the construction of this team, and I.

And I guess my take here is that I trust the over in this game more so than I like either side. The colts, they've been playing very well, but you take them on the road on a night prime time games during the weekend there. I don't really love that spot for them. And then I mean, when it comes to the Cardinals, I don't know if I trust them enough to deliver as currently constructed with the woes that they're defensive than having. So give me the over here, I think, would be the play. It was around 50 earlier in the week. That's what we had told everybody to go bet it over on the website. It's down to 48 and a half now. I think it's a decent look as I think that both offenses should be able to get some points on the board. So that's a Christmas Day slate. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. The NBA at the same time as some of these NFL games, I think it's going to make for a really fun Christmas Day. If you are a sports enthusiast, of course, spend some time with your families, make sure you prioritize that. But if you are going to watch some sports, plenty of options on Christmas Day. Now let's move to the Sunday slate in the NFL and we will start with giants eagles giants. Ten point dogs, total 40 and a half. And you know, again, I talked about the next system a minute ago, I'm a Knicks fan nominee or Giants fan. And can we just forfeit the rest of the season? Can the Giants just not do the rest of the season? They shut down Daniel Jones. It's going to be Mike Glenn and the rest of the way. But you can look at his yards per tenth and compare him to other quarterbacks. So here at the GBI show, right? We're a hardworking group of one. As far as, you know, I'm producing preparing delivering the show as I love to do. It's one of my great passions as far as the sports gambling industry is doing this very show. So no complaints about doing the research, of course. But you look at Mike glennon's yard prepares attempt numbers. And they are worse so far the season than the following quarterbacks. Jacoby Brissette, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Davis mills, all averaging more yards for pass attempt. Than Mike glennon is this season with the Giants. And as if that wasn't bad enough, cadre is Tony, the Giants wide receiver. He is averaging 6.3 yards per pass attempt, which is over a yard per attempt more than Mike glennon this season. That's concerning if you're a Giants fan trying to watch these last few games of the season. Meanwhile, the eagles I listen, they're fighting for a playoff spot somehow here. The bottom feeders of the NFC east have all lost the eagles recently making things pretty easy on Philly the rest of the way who, of course, they get the Washington football team again next week, chance for them to win another game in division and really give themselves a good shot at getting to the playoffs here. So they've got something to play for and they're playing one of the worst quarterbacks in the league right now. As a ten point favorite at home, I think that the eagles might actually be worth a play here. The Giants defense tends to come to play at home they actually did get the better Philadelphia earlier in the season at home. But on the road, I don't see them putting up a lot of fight. And more importantly, I just don't see them putting up a lot of points. I think that if Jalen hurts, who is questionable, but if Jalen hurts and that eagles offense can score 21 points, I think that's out of reach as far as the point spread is concerned for the Giants this coming week. It's going to be pretty ugly in my opinion. Next up, NFC showdown. Here on the GBI show, rams, Vikings, rams, three point favorites, total of 49, and you know the rams starting to put it back together again. They had that run where things were going very poorly for them, Matt Stafford was looking banged up. Well, they've kind of fixed that. They have turned that around as the rams. They have one three straight all of a sudden. And now you look at this rams team tied with the Cardinals for first place in the NFC west. I believe that the cardinals are above them in the standings. By some tie breakers scenario that I didn't feel like looking up. But the rams are right there. They have a winnable game this week. And the cardinals have a very difficult game on Saturday. And you wonder, okay, is this the time where the rams can kind of take over this division like yours truly thought they would from the beginning of the.

Should you want to go under. It's amazing when you look at the houston texans overall profile just a year and a half ago. This very franchise headache. Twenty four seven lead over the kansas city chiefs in the playoffs. We were all talking about them. Maybe getting to the afc championship as cinderella. And here we are a franchise completely in shambles most likely without a franchise quarterback and really lacking direction When you look at the houston texans worse record against playoff teams last year owen. Ten and this is despite to shawn watson putting gaudy numbers but pain rather than breakdown. What the texans don't have on either the offense or defensive side of the ball. should we attacked a coaching. Hire david kelly takes over as the oldest first time head after twenty seven years of serving as an nfl assistant. I'm not really sure what's going on with the organization and we're seeing the market react in a strong manner. I mean this total has been blitzed from under five in this morning. You look some places. And it's four under minus twenty five so like three point eight five the win total here. So there isn't a lot of confidence in the texans. And you start to look at what this roster is and it's tough to find wins on the schedule with who they're going to be trotting out there. I mean we talked about to shawn watson. And how fantastic. He was over. The last five decades seven quarterbacks have had as good of a season as to sean had last year and they finished with a losing record. Only seven quarterbacks. In the history of this league have played as well as the shawn watson team finished with a losing record so an shawn watson texans last year. That was the worst record of any of those quarterbacks so it really just shows how talent void this roster is and somehow you mentioned the new regime bringing in an old coach in cali but the organization really doubled down on that approach and they've managed the impossible really of having the oldest roster in the nfl with below average cap space. It's not a good combination. And so you know you start to look at the four wins last year and how they achieved it and it was still an offense that was above average inefficiency thirteenth. And now you have this. Massive downgraded quarterback and i mean tyrod taylor is what he has. He's thirty two and the best attributes about him are his athleticism his quickness. How fast he is but at thirty two those of all those things and so this is just a monster downgrade. You do look at the schedule of defenses. That the texans will play its. It's bottom six overall and against the oh. There is some hope there. I guess defensively that is going to still be a problem. You're looking at a unit that finished thirtieth inefficiency. The schedule of offense is this year are going to be really good. Can be hovering around the top. Five rate in basically overall efficiency passing offense all of those key areas I i don't really know how this team's going to get to their win. Total and i think that's probably the interesting part about this. Like what is the texans game plan for the season. And i think that's really the important part trying to figure out if the market has priced taxes properly. Because you look at where they opened where it is now. Nobody's projecting the texans only when three point eight five games but we also know. The jaguars weren't a one in fifteen team last year. Either and so there's ways to tank without actually making it obvious and it's when guys have nagging injuries. That could absolutely play. If games were important. Start to sit out and the guy under center that makes you most competitive gets benched. I mean we saw jacksonville last year. There is not a reason in the world. Mike glennon and jake are playing eight games air. Utah gloria dear. Utah poorly about jake lieutanant amount of money. He made us oregon state beaver. That is true so i. That's the part that you really have to figure out. Is you know the roster. Construction really boggles my mind. It's just got so many vets on it. It makes me nervous that the texans won't actually throw in the towel unless ownership demands you know callum. Mcnair start seeing like one of the college. Qb's look like the second coming and then all of a sudden he's like we we need to tank. And you know maybe get davis mill some reps here. The last half of the season but based upon the roster construction. I'm not getting that vibe And so that would make me a little nervous to tail the steam and the professionals going under at a far worse number. You know it's so interesting because you look at the texans. They had one draft pick in the top one hundred. And they use it on davis mills. Which leads you to believe. Either they're gonna throw his feet to the fire early on or maybe they do think that this is their franchise quarterback potentially if they drafted number one overall. Because the texans do things in will be nice and say or unorthodox manner that they would go after a guy like cave on tibet. If he was to be the first guy off the board to try and pick up a pass rusher but you mentioned the defense and this is a group that ally allowed more than five yards per carry the worst by any team since two thousand twelve. They surrendered thirty. Touchdown passes in route to that. Thirty overall defensive efficiency metric enforced only three interceptions.

I have been in lockstep about one thing now. I have been More hesitant to leave my post at the Mike Glennon fandom fan shop. Morales has been more hesitant to leave his post at the Josh Rosen fan shop. That's how this thing is gone. I have consistently felt as though if Mike Glennon got a legitimate position, legitimate team He could actually succeed. I'm now pretty willing to leave that post. But for morass, you will not close up shop on Josh Rosen and we both felt as though Josh Rosen was one of the best quarterbacks coming out of college in his draft that ended up in multiple bad situations. He ended up getting drafted by the Cardinals with a one year lame duck GM and head coach. They go three and 13. They immediately bring in a new head coach and reset everything okay? So that felt like Rosa was set up to fail. The moment that a new head coach came in and wanted his guy Cliff Kingsbury, not a lame duck GM but a head coach. Then he ends up in Miami and the Dolphins. Don't like what they see or are already thinking about to a tongue of Milo also thrust Rosen into a really bad situation. Remember, the Dolphins were basically trying to tank for two. Ah, He uploads there as well and then has since been bouncing around practice squads. He was the practice squad Q. B for the Buccaneers this year, obviously no action, but now he has signed in San Francisco. And could be vey back up to Jimmy Garoppolo or whoever the star to raise coming up in 2021 morass. This give you some hope for your Josh Rosen love it has to and this is to me an ideal situation. I think Kyle Shanahan is the perfect offensive Coach Forum and also if they don't move on from Garoppolo There's enough bread crumbs, whether it be injury, or Shanahan, growing frustrated with Garoppolo that thinks there may be just will maybe be like that door crack opening for Josh Rosen to kick it down and find the right offensive coach and everything comes together and everything clicked because the talent is there. D a. The talent is there. It's the psyche. Now we need to worry about So I'm more willing to again Leave my post at this fan shop than your I'm not. I'm not as convinced anymore. The Josh Rosen definitely has the talent to do so. But what I do know is that he has The youth. He's only 23 years old. He still 23 How how much older is he then? And burrow. Maybe a year or so.
