"Onto conservatives having meltdowns over justice while americans have been celebrating the derek chauvin verdict and of course he was found guilty of three charges in the murder of george floyd some conservatives are having difficulty in dealing with this news. They don't like this reality tucker. I just think that it was excessive. What should and what. I'd like to see guy who did it. Looks like the rest of his life in prison. So i'm kind of more worried about the rest of the country which thanks to police in action. In case you haven't noticed is like boarded up. So that's more mike gavin. That the justice system actually worked for once and he freaked out about that because this guest who he brought on presumably to agree with him about literally everything said that kneeling on someone's neck for eight and a half minutes is excessive which it objectively is. So i don't know how we're supposed to respond to that. The guy sent a reasonable thing and tucker carlson absolutely lost his mind and then cut the guys. Mike

"This morning's Mike Gavin is here with a look at some of the other stories you'll be talking about this morning. Good morning. Well, you know, it's always tricky when deciding how much to give a couple their wedding. But you hope that no matter what you give that at least it's appreciated. What you don't want is to be told that you were a cheapskate. That's what one Australian woman claims happened to her having recently hung up with her now ex friend on the phone the guest who post it to an online forum and was shared on social media had a beautiful or went to a beautiful and extravagant wedding that ran over two hundred fifty dollars per person, a number which guests were expected to match with equally expensive gifts the bride told the gas that the cost of having her and her husband at the wedding was far more than the miserly gift that they gave and she demanded another three hundred dollars in cash. The guest says she and her husband gifted newlyweds, two hundred dollars in cash in a seventy five dollar designer candle that the bride had specifically requested. Which the bride didn't consider a real gift? The speechless woman claimed that the Bryant continued to navigate her for five minutes before hanging up and ending their friendship. Well, well, she should call and say, well, I want the two hundred dollars back. Yeah. Do you at least get that at at that point? It seems to me the situation here is you know, I don't care how extravagant your wedding is. You know, I I can't match if you spend five hundred dollars on me. Sorry. I can't pony up five hundred dollars that right? That's a you problem. Madam province. You're not inviting me for my Bank account, you fighting me 'cause we're friends. Right. Well, I think in lot of these cases, especially where I guess the bride and groom are not actually paying for the wedding with mom and dad or pay for the wedding. They're hoping to sort of inflate that wedding. Make it as extravagant as possible in the hopes that people are going to give them bigger gifts who hundred fifty bucks per person. Yes. Expected to. It also, I guess this woman said that she's this gas. She says, she's from Australia in Australia. You're not necessarily expected to match that kind of accustomed here in the US. That's what you hear is sort of rule of thumb in Australia. That's not necessarily the case slow. We don't we don't do that in the deal family. We'll give you what we got at the time. Right. If it's appropriate. We'll empty out the chain container. Sure, you what you spend on the wedding will have no bearing on the gift that I give you Honey what's under the seats in the back of the car. And we know Gordon that Zion. Williamson is a pretty good basketball player who will now set his sights on the NBA, but whatever the frequency freakishly athletic Duke player had chosen a different path and decided to play football. Instead that question was posed to college football coaches by ESPN, and as you can imagine there were plenty who would have been excited to see the six foot seven inch two hundred eighty five Pounder running out of the tunnel and pads Ohio State coach Ryan day was among those who would line Williamson up at tight end due to his tremendous ball skills. And quickness saying that to be a nightmare matchup for defenders. Michigan state's Mark dantonio said he take hundreds ions and put them all over the field to that end. Florida state's Willie Taggart said that there's not a position he couldn't play including quarterback, adding who'd gonna want to tackle them and not surprisingly, the coach of your alma mater. Gordon would welcome. Williamson to suit up for the scarlet knights. Chris Chris ash said that he probably never come off the field playing tight end and defensive end probably quarterback to at Rutgers use all the help. We get lots of they're saying, they basically just take the ball run with it and who's gonna tackle them. And most of the highlights you see from Zion, William, sir. Tremendous blocks. Yes. Dunks things like that occasionally shooting the outside jumper. But if you watch him move leg even in a fast break. Yeah. He I mean, he runs like he has the Jilani of somebody who is five eleven one seventy right. It's it's really really salivate over. He moves so easily for somebody so bears a lot of big guys. But they don't move like that's the difference with him. Thank you. Mike thirteen.

"Now this morning's Mike Gavin is here with a look at some of the other stories you'll be talking about this morning. Good morning. Well, if you've ever frequented and all you can eat buffet restaurant. You know, there can be some jockeying from time to time when it comes to nabbing some of the higher priced items that usually doesn't lead to a brawl breaking out and subsequent arrests. Until now, Alabama police say a dispute over crab legs at a dinner buffet ended in a brawl, I'll have to people facing misdemeanor charges Huntsville police officer, Gerald Johnson told local TV that he was eating at the meteor buffet restaurant. What a fight broke out Johnson said the diners for using service towns like fencing swords plates were shattering and a woman was beating a man Johnson said diners have been waiting in line for crab legs for more than ten minutes. And they lost their tempers. Once the food came out to people were arrested one was charged with assault and one with disorderly conduct crab legs. And they waiting for ten. Oh minutes. Gordon? I think that's the different mentality. When you go to a buffet, right? If you sat down in order to meal, you'd be fine sitting there and waiting for ten minutes. Right. When you walk up there. And you're standing there with a plate in your hand. And we'd for someone to bring out crab legs for ten minutes. I guess that seems like an eternity, and you know, perhaps to the point here few things are more crushing at a buffet. Yeah. Then when you watch the last crab leg taken by somebody who's fifteen people in front of you. Right. Yeah. That's so what you're saying. This is justified or you, you you would have perhaps maybe not started fighting people or sword fighting people with Tom you would have been upset if I think I might be looking to trade up in line. Gotcha. Like, hey, ten bucks. Can I take your spot in Lyon, you risk alienating all the other people behind you RAB legs are serious business. Mike, what are you gonna do? You can all fight over the crab legs. I'll be over by the ribs. That's where I'll be in this whole equation. And here's one guy Gordon who might want to stick to eating out as Mets fans. Gordon, you know, we're all all kinds of. Reasons why players aren't playing in a game in any given day usually having to do with any number of injuries affecting Mets players. Now. The team might have to add home economics classes to the spring training schedule along with hitting fielding drills. The Mets say Brandon Nimmo was absent from team workouts and the ensuing exhibition game against the Marlins yesterday after becoming ill from under-cooked chicken manager, Mickey Callaway told reporters that nemo attempted to cook some chicken, but doesn't really know how to cook. As a result. The outfielder was vomiting all night missing yesterday's game and will likely also missed today concerns over dehydration and cramping nemo joins a list of at least three other Mets who have already succumbed to some sort of injury or illness. Just over a week into the start of spring training know, what this means what does it mean that my energy and emotion for the Mets. Yeah. We'll probably be drained by mid June your checkout time right now set for early summer. Let's right about where things. Really went badly for them last year. So yeah, I think that's that's a good target to get over under for you. I think I tend to try and stick it out at least till the end of July if I can. Hey, Brandon Nimmo. Yes. Like microwave if two and a half minutes, you know, if you're not sure use a thermometer. If it's on the grill, get it. What do you get chicken two hundred hundred sixty degrees? Yeah..

When it comes to social media, analytics company says that the parents have scored nearly one hundred ninety thousand mentions on social media and the last thirty days besting, the one hundred fifty six thousand for LA also of the over four million tweets related to the big game on Sunday only. The patriots playoff slogan is among the top five hashtags used the top Twitter. What I'm wondering? I can't answer that. I'm sorry. We need to get this out. The speaking of the game you played any money down or not as of yet. But here in New Jersey where we're betting is now legal. I've actually thought about maybe somebody's prop bets. Jen was talking about four maybe laying down, you know, even something small five dollars ten dollars just to have a little extra fun with the game. And and if you made any game predictions. "The headlines now, this morning's Mike Gavin is here with a look at some of the other stories you'll be talking about this morning. Good morning. Well, there's plenty of optimism in the deal house. I'm sure now that the New York Jets have a new coach well, Adam gazes ability to connect with the jets young quarterback will be his primary concern this season handling the spotlight that comes with coaching in New York will also be very important one could say that things in that department got off to bit of a rocky start yesterday when it took all of five seconds for gays and specifically his face to become an internet meme the coach was introduced to fans in media during a press conference in gases, extremely wide eyed expressions quickly became the talk of social media some jokes that the jets job had already broken the former dolphins. Coach others noted that he definitely has his eyes on the prize while a few warned that you should probably steer clear of gays when he's angry for fear that he gets you laser beams out of his eyes. When told in an interview after the. A press conference that he'd already become a mean gays laughed. It off saying he wasn't familiar with that term claiming that he didn't use Twitter or Instagram and doesn't quote look at the internet. Oh, doesn't look at the look at the internet existed at inspire you with how quickly did you renew? Your jet season. Tickets press conference in ten fifteen seconds what we are going places now for sure getting on the phone to the box office. Yeah. Listen picked up a coach from within your division shore. Makes great sense. Oh, yeah. It's going to be it's going to be a good season. Yeah. Yeah. Gays and his is yet. Again, they looked not all Football Conference coaches have to be great in front of the media in a, but it helps it's certainly in New York. It certainly helps to maybe keep your job little longer. Anyway, he doesn't look at the internet doesn't look at it. You know, it just because the pipes. Sometimes I think represent a very complex network that can can hurt your eyes at four make them. Go. Maybe looked at the internet more his eyes. Wouldn't wouldn't look look like that? Right. Let's say he's looking for the internet and just can't help me help me. And here's hoping Gordon that this morning's commute is a little sticky for folks in Arizona after an overturned tanker truck turned over near I forty near flagstaff and turn it into a scene from willy Wonka chocolate factory. "This morning's Mike Gavin is here with a look at some of the other stories you'll be talking about this morning. Good morning. Well, it looks like a California man has at least ten million reasons to hate his former roommate that's the number of dollars. He won the lottery ticket. He purchased in December. I take it. His roommate allegedly stole that roommate was arrested this weekend charged with grand theft. According to a Facebook post by police, the police posts said an unidentified man purchased a thirty dollar ticket hoping to win some extra cash for the holidays. He hit pay dirt with a ticket. He bought or that he thought was worth ten thousand dollars and shared the good news with two roommates the next day. The man took his ticket to the California state lotteries district office in Sacramento to get his jackpot only to be told the ticket wasn't a winner and have been altered. The victim suspected the ticket had been stolen by one of his roommates and reported the theft to the police department, then lo and behold, the roommate shows up at the lottery office the next day and tries to cash in the ticket, Wichita. Turns out was actually worth ten million dollars. Not ten thousand good thing for the real winner that the California state lottery reviews all winnings of more than six hundred dollars end after reviewing police and surveillance video at the place where the winning ticket was found. They figured out that the roommate was not the real winner. The alleged thief was then invited to the lottery office Monday. He thought to collect his winnings. And was instead greeted by police detectives who arrested him, oh that is quite a story. Yeah. The, you know, the whole thing with the roommate the ten thousand dollar ticket that actually was ten million. There's a there's a whole lot of layers to that is this a movie or this was a real thing. Exactly this. This sounds like the plot of a movie that would be you know, too far fetched. Wow. And, you know, Gordon, there are all kinds of reasons why you might hit some slow traffic on the way to work this morning. But let's hope it doesn't have anything to do with an electronic road sign telling people to slow down for no reason. That's what happened in Texas where the state DOT says an equipment malfunction was to blame for electric highway signs ruinously giving the speed limit at twenty miles per hour. State says the regular speed limit is in effect despite signs that say to the contrary, you know, from listening to this show that electronic signs have proven vulnerable to mischief makers in the past warning passing motorists of quote idiots on bikes various profanity and what happened in April of last year when a quote training error caused the digital sign in Washington state to display the message, you suck. I love those training hours. Yes. A training error and let me hit the let me type this first and then hit enter. Yes. This is a training problem apparently forgot to put in the employee handbook that that's the list of phrases are not allowed to put on the road. So I support the altering of electronic road signs, if there are at least humorous intentions, right, right? Not something that causes a rack or said, something offensive clever. Possibly the worst defense here. Having people slow down to twenty miles an hour on your way to work. No reason whatsoever. Yes, that's that's an offense. That's a flammable offense. Those types of.

We know enough to commute into New York City on a daily basis. The last thing you need is to have your OCD go into overdrive, just as you're about to reach your destination. That's what's been happening. This holiday season at the entrance to the Holland tunnel. In New Jersey, where drivers are complaining about the placement of the tunnels holiday decorations above the toll plaza where the name Holland tunnel is spelled out in all capital letters. There's a wreath placed on top of the oh in Holland and also one on the u in tunnel. The issue is with the placement of a Christmas tree shaped ornament on top of the letter n in Holland, which because of its shape. Many argue would be much better suited to be placed over the letter A you getting all this Gordon is triangular shape over the triangular shape of the right instead of the end, which kind of looks like an eye dopey port authority of New York New jersey, which is in charge of the tunnel fielded. Angry questions from people at its monthly board meeting this week about the eyesore in a lighthearted notice said Wednesday in style to mimic, the poem that begins. Twas the night before Christmas the port authority said it's conducting its own public poll. Participants have until Sunday to select one of four options. So I'm guessing it's going to get moved if they actually listen to what's going on here. More tax dollars well-spent. Yes. Can we move the Christmas decorations on top of our sign? Ask him can maybe get them out on Christmas day. We'll get double time or something like that. And over the weekends like stretch it over the weekend on Sunday double pay. The is just terrible looking like, it's not it's not even pretty to look at and it's off center, and that whole areas already not pretty pretty spot in pretty much all of New Jersey right there that the tunnel. Forty lanes of traffic into about six at a cost of fifteen eighteen dollars. Whatever it is. Then you gotta look at this dreadful attempt at holiday cheer do get the Christmas decorations. Right. Horrible job New Jersey. And there's no need Gordon to ask Ted Pelley of Westford, Vermont how he really feels about officials in his town. He's showing everyone who passes by his property with a new sculpture he has erected the artwork is a raised middle finger carved from a seven hundred pound block of pine and perched atop a sixteen foot pole lights up at night. Like, a lamp just in case you have trouble seeing it set out the provocative sculpture on November thirtieth after the town's development review board denied him a permit for. For an eight thousand square foot garage. He wants to build on his eleven acre property, he says he paid four thousand dollars to an artist to create this masterpiece. Belqis not the first come up with the idea of this particular kind of protest art, just this past January, for example for glistening ice sculptures of middle fingers were displayed on king street in Toronto to protest the city's pilot project that clamps down on private vehicles on the street in favor of mass transit. And so they regard was inspired. What happened in Toronto? It's relatively close by there in Vermont who knows? That's a serious commit? When you spend four grand. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the number one sign to I think from what I gather here. This is sort of a big business decision for him. He's gonna lose I guess much more than four grand. Yeah. Because the town decided not to grant him this permit. So you figured it was money. Well, spent eleven acres. Yeah. And they wouldn't give him a thousand square foot garage. Yes. You never know. I guess added to the tax rolls provided. You know, hiring opportunities offaire. We don't know. All the details. That's thank you, Mike. It's thirteen minutes now in front of the hour on This Morning, America's first news. What's in store? This holiday at your local Staples hearing, all you shouldn't.

"Morning's Mike Gavin is here with a look at some of the other stories you'll be talking about this morning. Good morning. Well, we know that there are all kinds of reasons why we might have a delayed flight on a given day storm strikes and equipment failure chief among them. Now, you can add your plane has been seized by the governments to that list. That's what happened in France last week where one hundred forty nine passengers were preparing to take off for London before French authorities ordered their Ryanair Boeing, seven thirty-seven impounded. The passengers had gone through passport control and security in. We're about to walk onto the tarmac to board the plane when airport authorities told them to turn around the passengers report on another flight that finally brought them to London's Stansted airport. Five hours late. Meanwhile, the jet was only released to the airline Friday after Ryanair paint a Bill equal to six hundred ten thousand dollars. So the government money that was the deal apparently, so a sizable amount nothing to sneeze at exactly looks like they were a couple of bucks behind but. Folks were just about to get on until turn around. Sorry has been seized manager trying to explain that to the passengers. Yeah. Sorry. We didn't pay our Bill. Yeah. I think initially they did not tell them that. I think they found that out. Right. They told them there was some sort of a delay or whatever they gave him like a voucher to go and get some food or something like that. And I guess probably later on is when they found out what the what the real problem compensation. We will not charge you if you have to go to the bathroom today. Yes. Ryanair would be the first plane ever to charge it he's right after right? Lucky everyone, and I Gordon as the Rams have reclaimed the buzz in Los Angeles. They've embraced the glitz and glamour that's involved with being Hollywood's home team, according to Yahoo Floyd Mayweather star sideline appearance netted him not one but two touchdown balls from Sunday's win over the Seattle Seahawks and a growing trend of celebrities getting game balls in LA now stars are making their way into the game plan as well early in the first quarter yesterday to see hawks showed pressure prompting quarterback Jared Goff to audible out of a first down play. Call the audible Halle Berry Halle Berry, and while the place exceeded down the field that also succeeded in catching the attention of the Academy Award winning actress who tweeted to God asking what is a Halle Berry with a few playful emojis attached when told about the tweet after the game GOP seemed very excited and tweeted a response to Berry's question later in the day saying that Halle Berry is simply his favourite play ever. So there you go very good. Not mincing words. This is not necessarily something called the Halle Berry like sometimes it can just be a code. That's used right. Well, right. Like like Peyton Manning Omaha. Wasn't a play some sort of diversion tactic Halle Berry Chia play. Well, I guess it seems like it. I mean, he's at Halle Berry twice and then snap the ball. They they ran this play which gained them eight yards. So he's successful as far as we can tell. It's a play of some kind of you one of those guys were I'd be alignment. Yeah. And the quarterback would yell Halle Berry. I'd pick up my head. And look like watching you start. Let's give her a get pancake by the defensive lineman. Ron route untouched to the quarterback. Is that is a little odd and a good good for the police here acting on a hunch when they saw these sixty or sixty eight year old man at three fifteen a m. Yeah. Dropping something on the side of the road. That was probably a good idea on their part to pull him over. Well, he's lucky. Yeah. Motorcycled? Well, yeah. His bike against but didn't suffer any serious injuries injured more seriously. This could be a lot whole thing. Could be a lot more serious. She's just go to YouTube and look up. How do I dispose of diapers properly? Yeah. Maybe he would get some help. Yeah. I look I mean, we all know those diaper genies those kind of things they don't really work as well as advertised. The restaurant then responded by posting its own sign in their window, assuring customers that it's fans are compliant with local regulations, and they say the neighbors complaints haven't affected business. Now, if I understand this correctly when I was reading through this story, this this guy moved in after the restaurant was already there. For years and years, this guy kind of what he was getting into when he moved in right next to a restaurant. He might get the smell of some food once in a while he kinda shoulda. You're right about that. Not exactly sure what's going on here. And then they say that these claims have been settled they sort settled these a few years ago with us with the city and everything and now he's kinda stirring, this all back up again for executive reason he's angling for meals compensation. If that's what it takes that myself like garlic, though. I mean, come on. That was good as it gets. The restaurant, smells, food or something. Like that could be a lot worse things. And we know Gordon that few rockers seem to have more fun on stage than foo fighters frontman, Dave Grohl who seems to go viral every couple months for something. Cool that happened that one of the band's shows the latest making the rounds on social media comes from a gig last week in Kansas City when Grohl invited a ten year old fan on stage to show off his guitar skills.
