"Time I ever heard Wu Tang clan, that was just refreshing to hear this. It brings back that same emotion of just, what is this? This is so different. I love this so much. So much of this album truly reckons with the fact that he's at the top of this craft and he's received more critical acclaim in recent years than he ever has, and he doesn't know what to do with all that. Because he has such an independent vision for his artistry, you can tell that he's still wrestling with this idea that he still has something to prove and he's looking around these lists like in that king of black song, mentioning how he's being listed next to yoga, but MCs. He's sort of like, this is what you think of me, really. It speaks to his very unique stature in hip hop. There's clearly so much pride that he takes in his craft, but he's also very honest with the fact that maintaining this independent vision just isn't easy at all. Both he and open Mike eagle share this quality where they speak really specifically to this indie rap hustle but have this way of making it seem like very visceral and like super, super relatable. I love the part in the title track where you seek specifically about like, you know what, keep your flowers. I can't eat that. I love that. I'm trying to get that ghost money on the weekend power. I also like on the track so tired you can't stop dreaming the line when he's like when the course gets tough ain't no force in the win to finish snap like stacks with the jazz like.

"The stone riders on the stall and a little part of me is thinking that maybe he did go to paris just to get away from all of this as much as anything else. While some charges went away it was the other things that happened in the the stuff involving the faa in federal charges. That weren't going away. That really were hanging over him. Maybe that mattered a little bit in the move that he made. I'm not giving. Jim morrison a pass for his behavior on the flight. Or anything like that. Because i was totally unacceptable completely unacceptable and wrong then now and everywhere in between as a role on the same page. Yeah there's no way that we would be supporting that but at the same time. I don't have a problem with dude whipping his dick out on stage while he's performing now if you were to rub one out. I think that's a big problem but again. If you pay rigi allen show you know what you're getting if jim morrison singing and his penis happens to fall out of his trousers big deal. I think that Things are different. Now there's they are always changing different now than they were then and if you look at it they were trying to get something they could string him up by his genitals with and they found that the bigger stick was the federal charges of what happened on the plane. If you want to avoid these situations in life then as now don't do stupid shit on airplanes end of story and of the discussion and really maybe to some degree. So we kind of wrap up of the discussion about whether morrison left because the pressure. I'm sure that the pressure was pretty intense. Look at the legal problems he had. And i think he was smart enough to know that the federal charges were a hell of a lot worse than the miami dade county charges or the The new haven charges. Because those were local authorities versus flying on a flight from la to phoenix. I'm betting wing you found the fbi file. You thought this'll be anything to read and learn about not knowing that we'd be sitting here on the whole thing apart just taken apart this at the i. File is very revealing about what we were doing with our government and artists that were over or on the edge back then the same way or similarly to what was going on in uk and that may be the biggest thing that i take away from all of this also the fact that they were very on top of what was going on in quote unquote counter culture as they called it. So i'm sure the amount of f. b. i. files from that time on musicians artists and people who spoke against the system are rather large. And i'm sure that if you alive during that time and had an arrest record or did anything of that nature in your youth during that time. You might have a page or two in the fbi. Archives stopped at. Don't tell anybody. I i'm not doing anybody about your lips. Lift out what it comes down to is some of the things marcus that we've suspected for a while That he maybe didn't even intend on coming back and doing anything in the future with the doors or anything else in other words. Some of these things that we've kicked around when you're not on the podcast kicking around there may be some validity to some of those claims or thoughts and learned a lot about behind the scenes. How powerful people will try to make things happen. That are on a personal purely personal. Not even a political agenda. You wanna play politics. That's one thing but when you take something like this and some of the words that were exchanged or offensive to me as an american. I agree with you on that and i don't understand why the government went after people like this so hard well really nasty. Words came from that one guy that broadcast guy. That's true is what's important similar to what i think. Our mission was when we set out on the brian jones project so Another unusual circumstance in a different kind of an episode. "Yep. Bangs weren't having it. They were happy to see The Rock. Go back. He was in there. They're booing. They play the rocks music. They cheer for a second. Then the people realize, wait a minute, he's about to put over Roman Reigns. So he raises his hand and people are like, no. I'm out of the Bailey. It was crazy. So eventually, and I may be getting something mixed up. I probably am. But eventually I'm fascinated. It's always because this is, I think the last time I had somebody talk about wrestling was open Mike eagle four or 5 years ago. So I haven't caught up with the drama. We gotta catch up. The soap opera that is wrestling. Go ahead. And this is just between the fans and the company. Right. We haven't even got to the other stuff. Right. So they booed Roman out of the building. Anyway, go heading up to mania. Another guy quits. By the name of CM Punk, he is he may get mentioned later. And they have to on the fly no it was Batista one that year. That's what it was. Oh, Batista came back. They Bautista from Guardians of the Galaxy. Yeah, sure, drax. Yeah. Yes. He came back. It was him. He came back, he won. He won and people were hot, so like, okay, so they had to shift around. I had the Roman Reigns thing one thing was the year before. So it's outside and run together, but another guy who was backed up by the company, and the audience was like, but we like this Daniel Bryan guy. They wanted Daniel Bryan. Yeah. And they didn't want Batista, who had who was a, you know, I mean, he was a wrestler first went to the movies and then, you know, came back. And he seemed super charming and very, very likeable. As far as with my brief interaction, with my interactions with him, yes, he's always been good to me. Okay. That's about all I could say. Yeah, I mean, the thing is, he's cast as sort of a likeable lug. And he does a very good job in the Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes. There you go. Yes. So it was Batista wins. Daniel Bryan is, and the people are like, we're not having it. We're not having it. Right. So between January and it's usually the week after it's the week the WrestleMania is.

An obsessive marvel comics fan from from the seven or eight and it was heartbreaking to get cut but it definitely fits my brand more to get that close in get cut and it's a good story and i squeezed bits out of it all these years later so i mean. What's what's really good about it chris. Now you can get cast in other marvel movies without there being a crossing of the timelines mess up the mcu situation. Well i did get cast. They did a a a wolverine. The long night podcast. That was like a detective. Podcast oh yeah and if you'd see the press releases very often the press releases with list stars and they would list me and i was always so baffled by that because then people started noticing gathered. Finally got in your in. Mcu menu found your way. And who i played was an unnamed librarian who had I think two. Maybe three sentences. So i was confused as to why trotting my name out is one of the show ponies because it was weird of is a librarian. Who told the cat to get off a blueprint. That was the bulk of what i said. But i think what i've actually done. I mean i'm also big marvel comics guy and i actually did a deep dive into this and that librarian was actually a disguised version of king conqueror. So we'll can exist throughout all timelines so takes on forms. I mean if you want to start getting into kang the conqueror we can get into a car at a time. Oh no that's a that's a good came out of time. This come up early. Are you ever at a time when you're talking about how it's a good timelines. Chris point i know a lot about king myself. Don't we all we can all go back and forth talking about kang. The conqueror we were we can just switch it up and talk about a mortis. Yeah gotcha gotcha living. Of course we've finally reached the apotheosis of all podcast which is just an extended series of lists of names of guys. Sure list list list list.
