"Got a lot to figure out still Kaylee's just back from the hill. They're starting to get really used to you up there. And it wasn't just banking hearings today. You're chasing Jamie Dimon among other people. I think this is really important actually. We've got the big bank CEOs, the big money center banks, diamond Frazier was up there in Chuck Schumer's office, is that the equivalent of a big letter going off to lawmakers urging them to avoid a default? What was the message? Well, it's a good question because we know what Schumer wants these banks to go out there and say, he said he wanted them to spread the message that default should not be an option. I have to say, though, when I was, I mean we can show. I would just like to clarify and say I have never claimed to be an athlete, I was running in not great athletic shoe wear, and I was trying to chase the head of JPMorgan down the capitol steps. So you can imagine this thing. He doesn't even see the video. Well, it's kind of some of it on the terminal. All that. Kayleigh running a football length to get to this man. Imagine the camera guy Nick. He's running with his heavy camera. They finally get to him. Jamie Dimon, your thoughts. Everyone wants a strong financial system. Whatever it is we will be prepared. Yeah. Man, a few words today. Did he not like what he heard from? Chuck Schumer, what are we thinking? Well, I don't know. I asked him, can you tell us anything about the conversation you had with the majority leader? And he said, no, no, I'm not going to do that. Thank you. So whether that is just keeping it close to the chest, not trying to advertise widely, the private conversations you were having in a closed meeting in the Senate, maybe. I think we'll have to see what the messaging is from these banks going forward. That said Joe, I will say that Jamie Dimon has, in recent weeks, come on Bloomberg to talk about how bad a dealer would be, other banks have warned about this as well. So it's not that they're not already on the record. Warning about the potential consequences. We'll see what they hear from him today. Hopefully others can get more out of him than a. Yes, exactly. We spent time last hour with Dan Kildee, the congressman Democrat from Michigan, and we're going to talk coming up with congressman Mike Gallagher, Republican from Wisconsin to try to get both sides of this issue because we're creeping up on a deal here. We heard from Joe Biden before he prepared to leave for his trip to Japan earlier and he's expressing confidence I suggested earlier using the Jedi mind trick. We're just going to go ahead and confident that we'll get the agreement on the budget that America will not default. So not the droids you're looking for. Yeah. Speaker McCarthy slightly different angle today. He says, I'm optimistic, but the problem is over there on the other end of Pennsylvania avenue. I'm optimistic for America because the people standing behind me. I'm optimistic of our ability to work together. Do we have obstacles? Yes, we have a big obstacle in The White House. But we're going to change the course of history because we're going to stand for the American public. Okay. Suggesting there will be a deal in time and interesting President Biden scheduled a news conference for Sunday when he gets back. Who's working on Sunday, by the way? Well, you might let's draw straws on that one, Joe, see who has to show up. But yeah, we'll have to see, because remember by Sunday, we're going to be 11 days out from June 1st, which is when the treasury has said it could be as early as that date. Yes. That they can not pay the U.S. as Bill. So it just kind of goes to show you the urgency of these talks. What I thought was interesting in the president's remarks before his departure was when we was talking about work requirements for entitlements. And he did specifically say he doesn't want them. Tied to any health benefits. That isn't necessarily a red line, though, on the whole thing. And as I've spoken with multiple Democrats in recent days, it seems like it is a red line for them any stricter requirements. Whatsoever, when I spoke with congressman Jerry Nadler, a Democrat from New York earlier today. He said he wouldn't vote for it. I don't think that's going to be that particular thing is compromised. Not compromised. Yes. Dan Kildee, on the other hand, said, yeah, I agree with Joe Biden on this one. Yeah. And he does not think that it should extend to healthcare. We've been, I think that we've heard that from a lot of folks here. But sounding very different than Jerry Nadler and it's clear that there's going to be a split here when it comes to aggressives in the Democratic Party. Yeah, and so it really just becomes a matter then of counting the votes. Can you get enough people in line on board with whatever compromise it is that they reach, that you can actually get this thing through Congress. Looks like the gentleman from Wisconsin is with us. Been looking forward to talking again with Mike Gallagher, Republican congressman who happens to chair the House committee on competition with the Chinese Communist Party, the select China committee as we call it for short. Representative is great to have you back. Thank you. And we'd love to talk about your hearing that's coming up tonight, just first year take the last time we were talking about work requirements, for instance, and it does seem that that's going to be kind of where the action is here as we make a deal. Moderate Democrats, if I can use the word moderate, I hate characterizing anyone's position on the spectrum here, but Mike, Dan Kildee rather, congressman says that he's okay with work requirements on food stamps. Is that going to be codified in this agreement? I hope so. Because we're talking about work requirements for able bodied adults. I mean, that, to me, should be an on objection without children. Without children, right? Yes, we made all these carve outs, which I think are sensible carve outs. I think it's really hard to argue against it. And it is amazing to me how far we've strayed from what used to be the bipartisan consensus on this issue, which I would note started in Wisconsin, which is usually the epicenter and the birthplace of common sense with welfare reform we did in the mid 90s and then it sort of migrated to the federal level, but we've consistently seen an erosion that bipartisan position. So I think it's a sensible framework. I'm glad some of the remaining blue dog Democrats are willing to be the voice of reason on this. And we got to get a deal. And so I think this is a sensible part of the framework that's emerging and I hope cooler heads

"Once in a while, you know, we like to put on kind of like our version of TED Talks. We'll call him Dan tongs. They're brief instructional episodes We do to make everybody out there a better person. Why? Because I failed a lot in life. Matter of fact, my next book is called the gift of failure. I have so many failures. I wrote a book about it. And believe me, we could arrive 16 chapters. I could have written 20. I failed a lot. You take a lot of chances, you're gonna fall on your face. But I like to learn from every time I fall on my face, so we do these little Dan talks once in a while and we have this video we've incorporated into our instructional regimen, it's very helpful. It is probably of all the videos we play probably the most important. Now, whoever it's CNN thought it was a good idea last night to stick the hapless Caitlyn Collins, who couldn't even handle Don lemon. Up on stage with Donald Trump, again, The Lion King of debaters. I don't know. What kind of an imbecile and a board one? Yeah, that's a good idea You just ended this woman's career last night. She's forever going to be known as the woman who got body bag by Donald Trump on the town hall the basic. Because it wasn't debate. It was a lefty. It used to be a pretend conservative Caitlyn Collins against Trump. I just wish Mike that in the boardroom at CNN before they decided this they would have played this little Dan talk video from roger scare. It went viral years ago. It's the F AFO video. If you don't know what FAA FO stands for, we have FCC rules. I wish we didn't have. We could save a.m. radio today as a friend told me yesterday if we would just dump those FCC rules and let us do what we wanted. But whatever, you can look that up online what F AFO means. But if they just would have played this on a speaker inside of the office, maybe they wouldn't have found themselves in a situation last night on a stage with Donald Trump, where he just decimated CNN and the so called moderator. Take a listen. I want to find out at a level of 7, okay? So I find that level on my graph that I come horizontally to my gradient line where I've never sex with my gradient line, I'm going to come straight down toward intersex with my around line. There's going to tell me how much I have to around to find out what I need to find out. See, as you can see, the more you around, the more you're going to find out. And also, if you stay down here, and you never around, you'll never find out. So I hope this lesson is helpful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, roger. It's always helpful. It would have been very helpful to Chris select the CNN and Caitlin Collins. They came in and they wanted to F around at a level 8.7 and they found out at an 8.7. They just would have listened. If you would have gone in there with roger scare's advice in your head, maybe we shouldn't have around and we won't find out. You wouldn't have found out. But you did find out. Last night you found out, like a lot of other people who've taken Trump head on in debates town halls, whatever you'd like to call them like they've found out, too. Like Jeb Bush, like Chris Christie, like a litany of others who thought it was a good idea to take this guy on head on. Listen, folks, they said in the opening hour I'm going to say it again. The primary at this point is pretty much over. It is. I like a lot of the people in it. I am not going to be piling on these people. I don't I'm not doing it. I really appreciate what they've done. The vac is a friend, the Santos is an amazing governor, and he's a young guy. He's got an outstanding political career. My fear here is, this is legitimate. Shouldn't have to say that, but because it may be taken the wrong way by people who are not trumpers. My fear here is we have a very, very good bench in the future. I really, really. You listen to Vivek Rama Swami on the campaign trail, you're going to be like, wow. You know, some people are like, oh, well, he's just showing me whatever the part, whatever. Politics is all about. I don't really care about it. Doesn't bother me at all. I'd vote for that Perry Johnson cat over Joe Biden. He sees his commercials on newsmax. This guy, we got a real opportunity. My fear here is that Trump train is just going a 150 miles an hour right now with armor and Kevlar at the front and careers are going to be ended. They are. They're just going to be ended. I really hope some people take my advice on that because I say it with a pure heart. I mean it with the purest of heart. I will never bad mouth run the santas down here in Florida ever. He is best governor I have ever. I'm 48 years old. I've never seen anyone transform a state this fast. But last night, man, this is a boulder going downhill. And try to stop it, but it's not going to be pretty. I mean, playbook lost their minds last night, political playbook always gauge it by the response to the left. Talking about how CNN, the CEO of and Nevada independent, I guess some media outlet posted a Twitter thread earlier in the day. They Politico is reporting, defending CNN's decision. Noting that Trump's the FrontRunner needs to be questioned. It is where it gets good, Mike. Minutes into the event, ralston reversed course. It's a farce. I'm so sad. I can't. You're from political playbook, another one. By the end of the night, the reviews were abysmal. The words disaster and disgrace were plastered all over Twitter. On MSDNC host Alex Wagner called the spectacle an hour of misinformation lies and disinformation. Matt fuller, bureau chief of the daily yeast, railed against the forum, is journalistic malpractice. Even CNN insiders were flip it out. They noted it was a complete disaster, one CNN employee told playbook. It was a strategic error, even Dan Rather chimed in, Mike. Dan Rather said, what was that an in kind campaign donation to Trump? Listen, man, I'm sorry. I'm not getting ahead of myself. They're still going to be a primary things could change granted. I shouldn't say it's over. I don't want to get presumptuous. And I really think a good primary is a good thing. I do. I'd love to see a frosty primary. And listen, Trump could lose. I mean, these liberals are crazy. You don't know what could happen. I don't want to get ahead of myself and be dramatic. We did that in 2022 in 2020. Look what happened. We got our asses kicked. I'm just taking a bit of a respite from what's been, can we all acknowledge a pretty terrible two election cycles and a litany of bad news. We've got title 42 expiring tonight. We got Pakistan and floating, almost overnight. You've got to spend no crisis as crime crisis out of control. I think we can take a day all of us today to just go, gosh, last night, it was just glorious. I watched it. I mean, I don't even stay up past 9. I watched it and I was like, this is just the greatest thing I've seen on TV and eons. I mean, just Trump just on every question just slaughtering them. Here's another highlight. My queue up for me if you would cut for this is where Trump's a natural. He gives answers that even though he didn't invent drill baby drill, people been saying that since the McCain Palin campaign, he just has a natural ability to answer a question and even if he gives kind of a response you'd call canned like drill baby drill. He says it in a way that people are like, oh, okay, this guy kind of talks like me sounds like me. And he cares what I have to say. He doesn't have a guy in his ear, coaching him. He doesn't have a scripted response where he's sitting there, well, let me tell you the marginal price of oil at the margin here is going to be this, and then we're going to get some Forex derivative. It's all important stuff. Hedging, I get it. He just talks like a normal person. Listen to this question and this is why this guy's The Lion King up on the stage. Check it out. Hi, thank you so much for coming to New Hampshire to answer our questions. My question is regarding the economy over the past two years, we have seen the prices for everything skyrocket. From food to gas to utilities and insurance costs, many people's bills are

"Check out. A new video series for me and chris go. Check that out. We had fun with it. Anthony davis this red herring not to be confused with our colleague. Chris airing i listen. Anthony davis ed white. Didn't i get that. A dozens of other guys bigs in particular. Made it that if we want to start quickly like it wouldn't necessarily anthony davis comes offer. Dwight is is what i'm saying like i'll take off you know doll shape for dwight before i'm taking to your earlier point like i don't think you can do that because i think you. You can't just start comparing guys from different eras. Necessarily i think you davis is not exactly dwight's arab close enough like they're both ghana two big men and dwight's dwight belongs on a seventy fifth anniversary more because of the length of his career. What he accomplished white was a great defensive player but he was a pretty frigging good offensive player. To at least when it came to scoring numbers. He put up offensively. We're really damn good. Never evolved zyppah bigm. Anthony davis is but big. I didn't have to back then. Nobody asked big men to shoot threes back into our days. So i i just look at those. Two guys. particularly davis will davis one is all said and done because he's probably got ten years left on his career is going to eclipse dwight howard. There's no doubt about that in my mind but for right now i don't see how he does it. Let me just say that. Dwight as a score he was. He was a great around the basket. He's a back guy. He was a screener role guy and at his best. He averaged twenty points better in four of his seasons. So that's fine but it's not like spectacular twenty point seven twenty point six dips eighteen. Point three bounces back to twenty two point nine. That's his high point. And this is in a time when we were coming out of the era of shock and all those guys when you expect centers to be something more but he he never averaged between beyond twenty two point nine and then in that second stage of his career when the league start moving toward everybody running a lot pick and roll and this is when you could be most effective some. He's rebelling against. Mike dan tony he's rebelling against the rockets and he's rebelling against the hawks and the and every the team he plays where because some these like. Now i wanna be a back to the basket guy. I want you to dump the ball into me seventy times a game or whatever he was such a freaking pain in the ass. And he's i cannot speak for the other eighty-seven voters and i didn't way this heavily and all the factors of dwight's candidacy but you cannot ignore that the guy's career pete basically at age twenty seven twenty eight when you're most guys are still in their prime. He did some injuries in la. He overcomes those but then as a period of time while still in his prime age wise where he bounces from houston to atlanta charlotte to washington and then to la five teams in five years. Most of those two or three. Those teams were terrible and they want nothing to do with him because he was such a freaking pain in the butt and so disliked in the locker room like when we're talking about the totality of guys career..

Fifteen thousand barrels or five thousand barrels. And now it's down to five hundred barrels. So everything's kind of been revised down in down in down. "Makes me feel good and that should be valuable to people i i. I hate that. We live in a society where it it's. I remember growing up like people that drove those cars. Whatever we're kind of revered and looked at successful and and people want to emulate the end now it's like they're villains are evil people they're greedy fucking pricks capitalists. And it's just like you know that's just such a defeated shitty way to jellison defeated shitty way to look at things but But anyway there's a of hope though i feel like there's a paradigm shift happening right now. I think some people are opening there is V twelve lamble with the doors. That go up. I see a lot of kids being like. How did you know that the lambo is my favorite car. You know because it was my favorite cartoon laugh. And i give the kid a high five that at my daughter gymnastics classes. How did you know that. Land regaining was. My favorite car was recalled. I'm seeing the kids. So like when i grew up i wasn't i did live in dallas. I saw one lambo my whole life. Now you come here and mike. Dan isn't it like four hundred at the same meet right so things are a little different. But i feel like you know. There's still that glimmer of hope that you know kids that they see that. And you're like man one day i'm going to have that sit in absolutely kinda read it. Yes because if they can feel it they can see it. They can test you get the sensory overload if you don't know what i'm talking about as a car guy you know what i'm talking about. Go to a car meet and you see these kids and they're eating it up and you can see. There is all the question questions all the specs on. I'm like you know what kids gonna one for sure. Because he knows what he wants. He knows what he likes and he's going to reverse engineer. What do i need to do. And what's the number one. Dan what do you do. And then you start having for like then. Then it's like. I don't really know how to explain. I sell dogs or you breed dogs or you know. I'm a plumber. Whatever you know like this this past weekend manager of where we're at heo. His son wants to ride in your car. I was like okay. And i throw them the keys. What take it for rodham doing shit you know. And i'm sitting there talking to people and they take off in my car. And i think three or four times a new thank you so much kid is keeps talking about your car and all that and engine change in lives man. But that's what i got the car for. Yeah it's my enjoyment too but it's cool to see the look on kids faces and i tell him every time we go for racket. His daughter likes ago. The look on her face every time. And it's what five months now. Every time still to this day she gets out. It's a totally different. Look and that's why the fuck we do. Not the just going fast and getting archie. It's watching her ass. One day is going to have a car faster than this and look at us like we're a bunch of old. How old is your daughter. Is fourteen fourteen daughters five. And i've taken her to school in the roles school and forty eight and limbaugh. And who is this guy but the thing is also doing strategically because my daughter is not going to be impressed by the kids mustang when she gets a high school so now dad i want i want to be the death of my dad can beat up your dad. I think we get that checked and then the cool cars are going to be president really to come to the table. Take my daughter. You're come clean them a guns on my car. You're going to have to come correct if your daughter is really what it is. Because she's not impressed. You've got a story about daughters off the air. But man. I appreciate you coming down you average coming now. You have any motorcycles now or no. I don't well actually i do. I'm actually working three broken ribs right now. Because i lost against the trees the tree one burton zero. I gotta cr four. Fifty are growing up one hundred by more than anything. Couldn't afford it my mom every every friday when she'd take me back home to darby dell we would go to stop it ask and was a motorcycle dealership and i would go and you smell and tires and all that stuff and it's that i couldn't scratch i raised bmx. But i never had a dirt bike. Got street bikes. But i needed the dirt bike but the thing is the dirt. Bike is hurting me. But the thing is is like i. That was a score that i needed to settle. You know now. I get the riding. Dirt played my friends. Went up to arkansas network in doing this iraq plan in the worst broke my ribs. But i didn't miss any work. I didn't complain. I'm a little uncomfortable right now. You see me kind of sitting. Three broken ribs hurts but again. That's what i got right now. The street kind of made me nervous. When i started having kids. I started thinking like okay. I'll play with the cars. Because when i get on. The motorcycles had something like this. I'd be chilled. But when you're on a truck it's already know what it is. It's a different rights. Thing is risk reward. Yeah so that's where it's I got offered a duke someone to buy like a dope yukata. Not too long ago..

"Segment. To reminisce about wrestling. So what is your Favorite wrestler. And if it's obvious, like Hogan, please don't call any waste our time, because that's that's a very uninspired choice. That just means you like what you were told to like. At the grave digger. Yeah, I think people get what I'm saying there. I think people get that. Alright, 7132125874 do we need to do the black line Because I don't think black people went to wrestling. I really don't. I'm not just saying that. Who are J. RJ is not on the black RJ doesn't know. Oh, my goodness. R J, Just not okay. Jail, like the best Western on the planet is too much to me and windy said it. Okay. Now, why would you go for a white dude, when you had to junk yard dog in your back pocket? Just wrestling the world Drop. Who bring him down, Elizabeth, Pick them up. Randy Savage, Michael. Okay. This may be RJ's greatest call. Ever. Fantastic call, RJ. You know, wrestling? I did not. You have impressed me. All right, who we got? We're going to go in order. Ramon, Let's start with David, Dennis, Mike, Mike Dan and then catch me up on what we have after that, David, you're up. Go. Alvin Pukowski. All right, Dennis, go. Killer Kowalski and his death grip. Oh, yes. You know the concept of the death grip the iron claw. All of that. That was when I was about 89 years old. That was fantastic. Well done, Mike, who you got? Axel. June Dugan. Hack Sergeant Mhm. My buddy Toby Schultz used to come up and do the hacksaw Jim Duggan on your shoulder and he was taller than me and a lot bigger and stronger. And it's still kind of makes my my shoulder ache thinking about it. All right, Mike, who you got? I'm going to school. Wahoo McDaniel. He had some great fights with Johnny Valentine. Oh, wow. Okay. Alright. I hope Mac is listening to this because Mac really was first known to Houston from the Paul Bausch wrestling days, and he's still It's funny. Ramon and I will get him off air talking in the studio. And he will tell you stories. I mean, just on and all of the people he met and the people he liked, and the things that went on. He's got some great old rested stories. Dan Europe Hacksaw Jim Duggan with the tube before he took it before. I love that two by four. We all did 713212587 for this. This is one of the best call ins Ramon we've ever had, because nobody's said the obvious stupid ones like you did, Jerry Europe. It's the old to do like cool. Where to go, Jerry. Well done, Ray. You're on the Michael Barry. Show who you got. The one and only George the animals still Oh, wow. Okay. Um, you know, you're forcing me to go back. And what Ramon? Did you ever go? Did you ever go to a wrestling match? I used to go with the warnings. My my buddy Ben weren't it was my year Mark. Warning could just whips all smart was a year ahead of us. And then Jeremy was a year younger than us. And then they had. I think Elizabeth Nathan is a big family. But Ben's Cousins, the wind gates. If you know anybody in orange, you know, wind gate. There were 19 single birth Children. Same mother, same father, but anyway Ben Wernicke was a wrestling nut. And his parents used to take us over to Lake Charles and Boy was that a treat who we got one night It was the junk yard dog, the Samoan twins. Who else was on that particular bill that night anyway? Lesko, Ken, Bob James Scott. Oh, let's go Sherman on the black line because I'm just surprised somebody black nose wrestling other than RJ shocked me, Sherman on the black line, Go ahead. Dick or bruise. I couldn't hear you. Dick, the bruiser. I don't remember Dick, the bruiser. Well, I'm a little older. Where did you see Dick? The Bruiser? Yeah. Sling at the Chase ST. Louis, Missouri. Thought with Baron von Rosky who had the iron cloth. Yeah, I remember that. I remember that. Okay, but I just don't remember Victor Bruiser. Okay. Alright. See the fun thing. Thanks for the call The fun thing about this. Is before McMahon managed to really put wrestling under one tent Raston was was a completely regionalized. I think there were 30 or 50 different associations around the country. In fact, I'm gonna find it during the break and I'll tell you where to go. There's a great documentary on Andre, the giant. "Dad's lost it again, 866. Adds law appreciate You're on an island there, Bart all by yourself. Just here. Bart Scott, Kevin Negandhi alongside L. Duncan. Mike Dan Obama in Fitzsimmons here. We're here with you all the way through the entire first round of the NFL draft. What's the over under between Kevin and l. When you guys will say that was Bart. How many times in the next five hours E. I'm gonna go eight hours. I'm taking back myself to warn five over. Hey, You know we were continuing this conversation with quarterbacks here, because obviously, that's been the story line leading up to the draft and he and shared a very fascinating story talking to a GM about Justin Fields, But mighty I wanted. I want to talk to you about. Processing stuff and looking at film, especially in a pandemic. When you're watching tape from 2020, How are you doing it? Gathering information with prospects, especially at the quarterback position compared to 2019 Gazelle brought up a great point that we're judging a lot of trey lands on 2019 film. And then when you talk about Justin fields, it's a different conversation. It's 2020 film over 2019 film. Yeah, it's a great question. That's a great point, something that I know a lot of people the league are struggling with because You go. The big 10. They weren't gonna play. Then they were gonna play. So the whole process of getting ready is historically weird. I mean, the Pac 12 was basically done and then they came back. And specifically as it relates to Justin feels again. I went out to see him when he transferred. This guy was Really highly recruited player him and Trevor Laurence were won and won A And when you talk to people around Ohio State, he did everything he could to immerse himself in that environment to be productive. He did not play well in a couple of games this year. When you watch the tape, there's a couple games where he was rattled against northwestern Alabama. He threw a couple picks against Indiana. And when you do that full evaluation, you have to Take that into account with that said. You look at someone like Trey Lancer. You played one game this year, and he's only playing the actual ass level. So you say, like, Well, how in the world could Trey Lance go before? Just it feels like the body of work is compelling. And that's where I know a number of teams of Starling, which is if you took Trey Lance out of North Dakota state and put him into the big 10. How much What would he look like? I'm really intrigued by Trey Land because I think his skill set is phenomenal. I think Justin Fields is also could be really good. We are splitting hairs here. But Kevin what you're talking about All 32 teams are struggling. No combine not be able to bring players in. There is a difference between zoom and being in person, and the medical is unfortunate. For these quarterbacks. There's no real medical issues. Um It's been really hard for these teams to break these ties, which is why we're seeing some guys that have a history of injury. Really, at least in the pre mock drafts fall and slip because they can't evaluate them themselves. I want to bring you in and hear bark is one thing I know about you. You don't listen to the chatter. You don't care what the people have to say. You watch tape. So so how much people are calling this the tape draft because of all the covert protocols. How much can you believe from looking at the tape? How much of it is accurate? Well, your lies your eyes. Don't lie, Okay? I don't look at the older productivity. I don't like the yards thrown. I don't look at the touchdowns, the interception ratio. I want to see a guy that when I turn on the film can process complex defense is that can identify the man to man coverage When I'm getting a blitz, Where's my hot? You know, Can I get the ball out fast? Can I buy time? Can I make those off schedule plays and all these guys do that and really what you're doing when you're looking at a quarterback. You're looking at any prospect. You're projecting. You're projecting what to believe they could be because they're not a finished product. And it's all about saying, Hey, if I can get it if you have confidence, that's why I'm looking at Kyle Kyle Shanahan. I'm saying, if you're supposed to be the quarterback whisper, if you're the guy that could develop talent to see talent. Why would you want a guy with a high Sillitoe high floor in a low ceiling? I'm going for a home run because guys that were just okay. Kirk Cousins, the RG three's and worry even Matt Ryan's They got you to the dance, but they didn't win one for you. Thank you. So I want one that's gonna win it. Why would you want to see? Oh, if I would've been at the program of Magdala TV. I would have had a flashback of Jimmy G. Overthrowing Emmanuel Sanders does the fact that the narrative is oh, he was showing that he had a strong arm. I thought the ball too far, like, Come on, man. I want somebody that could. That could be great. You know, you swing for the fences, right? Coaches look at it somewhat differently. Bart, where he's saying. I had a lot of success with Matt Ryan in Atlanta. We got to the Super Bowl. Back. Jones is a younger, slightly more athletic back. Jones. He Mac shows is nowhere near the athlete that both trey lands and Justin Fields are and I think we'll see what they're gonna do here in a little bit. But ah lot of people around the league myself included, thinks he's not trying to hit the home run. He's trying to get a younger Matt right, and he's beginning very sort of, like, compartmentalize way and he's gonna come up short to the Los Angeles Rams, who asked Matthew Stafford was about to be the M V P Italy because if I'm a defender, and I said, God, like Mack Jones or guy like Kirk, cousin, I'm looking at barbecue chicken. I'm looking at it. I'm looking at a sitting duck. Somebody did that once I get to is going night night when I'm looking at a guy not like guys like trade lands Guys like like, feels they hold the back side linebacker. They hold the bag defense event, So that means if I'm a defense event, I can't flatten down and just disrespect the fact that even if I guess wrong, I can speak turn and catches do because he can't outrun me. You know when I when I'm doing that, That's so that opens that helps the entire team that helps the run game helps to play accident creates all these windows with the threat of a quarterback, so I need Kyle Shanahan hit the refresh button and get a newer updated version. Evolution of Matt Rank, don't be started looking back on in the weight in the hot tub time machine and get what you used to have made You get updated version and again, by the way, Todd McShay and his morning markets Final one. He has the 40 Niners going with Trey, Lance and Mel Kiper and Louis Riddick sticking with Mack Jones at number three to the Niners in Take us past the tape. You were around that Alabama program Ah lot last season when it came to conversations and relationships. What is Mack Jones? Like? Aside from what we're seeing on film? He's the ultimate team guy. First of all, um, and before the Yellow shoe game. Vontae Smith went to him and said, We're winning the Heisman and Mag. Jones likes him because now you're the best player in college football. You're winning the Heisman to the point where going into the S E. C championship game. True story. Mack Jones wanted to wear a T shirt that said Davante, Nagy and Obama old line for Heisman. He wasn't allowed to do it. For whatever reason I'm going. Mark Emmert, NC double A. That's just my guess. Who knows? But But the bottom line about Mack Jones is he completed nearly 78% of his passes for 4500 yards over 40 touchdowns. Four. I aunties. Two of them weren't on him. Bart, You're shaking your head already. But here's Here's the thing, Man. He's the most..

"To left field. Go back the public buildings gear. So last weekend i was the first time leeann. I took harrison out of the house when it wasn't to the pediatrician k. So there's a picture here. We took him to so it was a brewery. Let's do so interesting so we went to a brewery. Got it yet. We were just like dying to get out of the house. We have Friends who we were trying to find amid amid point because they wanted to see the baby. But we don't want to go inside and we just want to make covid safe so we we need to find a place outside. It was in hackensack hackensack brewing. The beer was good. The we're in a parking lot like it wasn't ideal for a lot of stuff going on. It was also like a pretty warm day. I'm going to tweet this picture. Out for matt yankees. Podcast you can save. I found myself trying to console him. I we had like this blanket. And i just like covered him and myself in this blanket and i was just like feeding them a bottle and like talking to him and and the friends of ours my friend mark. Who is actually best man at my wedding. Took this picture and then like showed it to me after and it hit me on mike dan. My life has changed. Because like i didn't even think twice about doing this. Like people around me were probably looking at me. Like what the hell that guy doing like. he's just like he snorting cocaine under. They're like no. He's feeding a baby a bottle. So like i don't even know what the point of this is or what my question is but like did you also have a moment with kemp where you're just like you're just gonna do things on instinct and you don't even think about like the what you're thinking or what it looks like or how it's going to be received like you're just doing this because the only thing in your mind is make sure your son is comfortable. And that's what i was. I was like blocking the sun from him. Like i'm sweating. Just want him to sweat so just like a whole a whole ordeal. Yeah that was my outing last saturday. It definitely looks like you're the you're the guy that tried to get a little hair. Dog was struggling. Walk into this place. You have half a beer in the in this glass and you're just you're done at this point you you're done and you're you're you're everybody else wanted to come to the brewery so you're just there now is a fixture because everybody wanted to hang out and it doesn't matter we they got you. They're finally and you're there and they just threw a towel over your head and you're just knocked out. That's what it looks like. Did i yes. I don't know. I don't have a situation but yeah i don't care what people think anymore that. That's what happens when you when you get to situations in my life where. I really stopped caring. What people thought one. I got after i got married. I don't need to impress any girls anymore. Like that's done right. I just gotta make sure my wife's happy. I gotta do things for her. So nothing matters there. I got got a got her. She said yes locked it up done in the second quarter stricter and the other one was when we had a kid so now i'm like don't care don't care about anything anymore cut away. I have a kid who have to keep alive and we have to make sure that with the feed him and do all the things that that because it's our responsibility now so all of that stuff went out the window like what people think of you. What you're doing what it looks like. I just don't care anymore. And i think to maybe the third thing is just you're getting another. You're older every single year and the more that happens the less you care about what other people think well and yes so that there's a trifecta of not giving a shit and i think the kid kind of locks a lot of that in so it doesn't surprise me at all like not not at all and i think most parents feel the same way. Yeah and the thing about it like we were just so happy to get out of the house and like see friends and like talk for a couple of hours but like it was so not worth it because that night he didn't sleep at all and it was just a hellish nights on like or those three hours at the burri where i had one and a half beers and talk to some friends. Was that worth not sleeping night. I don't know yeah. I mean if it was only one night maybe if it trickled into the other days then then probably not yet. But that's a screw up the schedules. The fourth the hand. You gotta go out certain point. You can't just look at the same four walls anymore. You gotta get getting pretty old freaking year this all right. That's going to do it for this episode. Maybe we'll get some unexpected news. From the bruce and talking and stuff as we as we said over the Scott and i will continue to roll out. The alleys previews opening day is next week less than a week away. We've got our bold predictions episode. Coming up start thinking about those. I kicked last year. You kicked my ass the year before. We're tied one to one side like this is three game series so you don't get a full win from last year remember. The last year doesn't count. I was thirty seven percent. I got thirty seven percent of income of one. Nothing but you took a big l. on predicting mike ford over no it didn't it didn't. It didn't have okay all right. So we're gonna we're gonna be a big al. We'll be back next week with the rest of the previews and our bold predictions episode and then after the season starts we're going to get into our normal routine and we got some some some fun content for you this season which via different routine which will be a different routine not the normal routine. The normal routine is a different routine. Which will be you wanna talk about it now or do you wanna talk about it when we actually start the new routine. We'll talk about later. I think we tease last episodes. But yeah it's going to be more content more more consistent content more good conversations a little bit more in depth so excited excited for some new.

"It is very logistical right. Just for example. It sounds like small things but be 'ultra-flexible. They need to reschedule like dates times etc be altered flexible. Logistical be 'ultra-flexible. They need to reschedule. Make sure all your payments are made on time or early. Make sure you respond to all their emails like right on time. Like don't delay with responded. Their phone calls like literally everything to do with the operational stuff needs to be easy because they need to be like. Oh my gosh is such an easy person to work with. He's such a great client number. Two if you see something breaking down in their lives check in with them. It's just not their job to be there for you. It's your job to be there for them. People put us in different relationships the world that the divine puts us in different relationships so that we can do better. It's not just a kuch client relationship or a mentor mentor relationship. It is a relationship. I believe that. I have as much to offer my coach in this karmic balance. That she or he does for me. I if i don't then. I only leave them one way. And it's just a shared some ideas. I gave him some money and done like whatever. That's there's got to be more to life than that. I also would say you got to get a little engaged in their lives like a coaching client. And they don't read my emails. Didn't look at my social media post. You don't return my phone calls or text messages. Like i have zero interest in working with them. I recall like. I expect them to be a part of my life. Now you'd have Not everybody, but the majority of people would have. Ah, let's say they'd be below a 35% tax rate. So they might say we want to re calculate. Um, the way IRAs or calculated and that yes. You have to pay income tax on that which is income, but that you've put in, but you're gonna have to pay capital gains tax. On the gains of what you put in in the investments. And that would generate more revenue to the government. So all of those things, this is a vory, um vory difficulty. Situation and we've and it's gonna be the average Joe the mom and pop America that is going to suffer from these So that there's going to be a comprehensive tax plan they have already they have already vowed to undo everything that President Trump did that includes his taxes They've never made. Any bones about it is a matter of fact. President Biden is the only president in America to be put in place. That ran a campaign. One. Raising taxes. I mean, who would have thought? So who would have thought we would have elected somebody? I promise you, I'm going to raise taxes. I think the whole qualified money in the whole irony thing is extremely complex. And Because there's so many options for the government to choose. And some of it. We're just gonna have to wait and see how it shakes out. Let me go to Mike and Alabama. Hey, Mike. Dan. Uh, I really, really appreciate your program. Um I'm um, partner and retired, and I sure um, income strategy. And I'm just a little concerned that I'm a little out of balance now, and they're not many funds on the bottle. If mostly utility would if you were me, would you just wait until you see how all this political stuff shakes out? Try to re balance No, I don't. I don't know. So I wouldn't necessarily wait. Mike, um, check the new asset allocation model today. You'll see that the utility sector is now increased. But I wouldn't On. You still may be over. Would start looking. I think it's not a matter of waiting. Go ahead and try, but you're probably going to be somewhat forced to wait because there's just not a lot out there in the industrial sector and the material sectors. The technology sectors that are on the buy list that are producing income is just not a lot out there. So you kind of going to be forced to wait. I mean, I wouldn't look and do what you can do. And if you're a little overweighted in utilities Based on the new asset allocation models. I'm okay with that, if it's if it's within 45% All I would ask you is to be diversified in that so I don't have a stock that you really love in the utilities. Um That you have. And the pay's a very good dividend that you have most of your money. Try to spread it out among several different utilities. If you're going to get overweighted in that sector, but I you know I'm okay. Waiting. But I think the waiting is going is going to open up more.

"Tax rate stayed the same and capital gains tax went up to 35%. So all of those things, this is a vory, um vory difficulty situation. And we've and it's gonna be the average Joe, the mom and pop America that is going to suffer from these So that there's going to be a comprehensive tax plan they have already they have already vowed to undo everything that President Trump did that includes his taxes. They've never made any bones about. It is a matter of fact. Um President Biden is the only president in America to be put in place. That ran a campaign. One. Raising taxes. I mean, who would have thought? So who would have thought we would have elected somebody? I promise you. I'm going to raise taxes. I mean, who would who would vote for somebody so anyway, but he was placed in office. On a platform of raising taxes. So you can't say you didn't hear it. You could say you weren't listening. Republicans are distancing themselves from Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power
"Are dismissing President Trump's statement that he may not accept the results of the November election if he loses. Mike Dan from member station GBH reports. The Republican governor of Massachusetts did not mince words when addressing the president's remarks. Governor Charlie Baker has long distanced himself from the president. But he bristled when responding to a question about the president's statement. That quote we're goingto have to see if there will be a peaceful transfer of power should he lose the November election. Baker did not hold back. It is appalling and outrageous that anyone would suggest for a minute that if they lose an election, they're not going to leave. Baker called the peaceful transfer of power based on the vote of the people of fundamental aspect of America's strength. Trump spokesperson now says the president would accept quote a free and fair election. For NPR

Houston Rockets fail to stave-off elimination in loss to the Los Angeles Lakers
"So, there's a whole list of ways to For a whole host of the culprits here. Right IF PEOPLE WANNA start scapegoating or pointing fingers at the reason for the rockets. Quick Demise. This postseason I might point to James Harden just say they're fundamentally flawed because of the the style that he plays and how how hardened centric they are that I will always key on that. I but there is the Russ Hardin experiment. There's small ball itself. There's the catch all analytics failed that there's there's the camp out there who wanted to blame analytics or Darrell Blame Mike Dan Tony. It's about maybe it's about his system although I don't think they were running what Mike is usually known for. Is there one thing that stands out to you? That was that the primary culprit for why they failed this particular postseason? Well I'll answer that two ways first and foremost is that it's very hard to win an NBA championship especially coming out of the Western conference I think people forget that think how you have to beat our. You know now with Lebron James Who's arguably the best player in the League one of the best of all time he is here, Wilde Leonard whose I believe has the best. Regular season win percentage in the NBA history who may be on the verge of leading his third different team to an NBA championship is the best player he's out here and the no. Forget the team in the bay that went to the finals five years in a row they're going to be back next year and how are those are the guys you have to just to get To the NBA finals out of the West. So I think in our winner, take all society it's easy to forget that as I mentioned, I think the rockets have been arguably the second best team in the NBA over the last four five years So they are close however to answer your question more directly. The biggest concern I have like I said is on the biggest stage look. Who sometimes as an executive coach or player, and sometimes it's not that's what happened to him a few years ago in game seven when they missed twenty seven consecutive threes or whatever it was that's part of the deal that way this thing goes the way it shouldn't go. Howard. If you'RE GONNA WANNA win anything at a high level is you always have to try you always have to compete. You always have to give your best effort. Now can Houston do that? Can they answer those questions that remains to be seen and unfortunately were they new head coach coming in? I think to some extent Howard whenever next season starts it doesn't really matter what they. Do in the regular season you and I both think the Houston Rockets as you know currently constructed or very likely to be playoff team again, the western conference but the questions are going to start again when they get to the playoffs and frankly I don't think they'll be able to answer those questions until the playoffs are ending as far as did they show up and compete every night because we have two examples in the last four years where they haven't done that in the big stage and has a lot of people myself included scratching their head as far as you know why James Harden, his teammates didn't even try to rise to the occasion. Yeah it's. You lay it out correctly or I would agree with the way you laid out, which is as you start looking forward. Immediately you have to think about. All right. Well, who who are we chasing and if we assume everything stays static that Lebron Anthony Davis are still together that Paul, George is still together. The nuggets aren't going anywhere. So there's a three teams at the top. Already, the warriors could very easily and should jump back into the top four. Even Gotten to Utah or the rising mavericks or anything else yet, and at best the rockets are V before we've even gotten through this season much less the off season and getting next. Look ahead like do we know how do we? How do you forecast them's anything better than that, and that's fine. If you're young team on the rise, if you're the mavericks and you look out an next year source, maybe somewhere in the four, five, six range. That's fine. You're young team on the rise you're you're you're building as you go the rockets are you know you're built around two stars in their early thirties? And if you're if you're not going forward, then you're going backward the you're sliding and I don't know that the flexibility is there to to really rebuild around those two guys on the fly here. So I don't know whether assuming darryl still in the job because there's been doubts about that too. But whatever. Whatever the Front Office does this off-season I I do not envy especially in an Arrow or in a year with potentially a shrinking cap with the little or two zero flexibility I don't I just don't know where they go from here unless you go and start entertaining the extremes and that's trading the stars and that that might be even harder. So maybe they have no choice but to just stay on the path, try to find some bargains and hope for the best I

Mike D'Antoni's Agent Not 'Willing to Take' Rockets' Latest Contract Amid Rumors
"In other NBA news contract tax reportedly back on between the rockets head coach Mike, Dan, Tony has been Tim McMahon reports of these sides are nearing an agreement with new rockets team, owner Tillman for Tita agreed to eliminate the bio language, that was the primary reason that did Tokyo's agent end attacks may thirtieth, but they're back on, again, with more ESPN NBA front office insider, Bobby marks. Well, I think it's a little bit of learning of for a new owner until for teetering. And I think he's on this team for about two years here that you can't run a rock at the basketball team like you do your own business, and to structure, a coach's contract extension likely. It's a scene with Mike, the Antoni. I, I had never seen that before basically performance bonuses in its you start low and then you kind of build your way out there. So, I think I think probably the last couple of weeks was, you know, doubt Daryl more probably educating him on as far as the business of basketball, and how you probably can't go out, you know with your head coach and how to structure with your system coaches here. So it's like something that's going to get resolved here. I think it's going to be interesting. What they do with their system coaches because they let go of, you know, just as Delic and ROY Rogers, and, and what the length of an extension will be here. It's, it's hard for an assistant coach to come on board when he's basically on a on a two Yukio. Yes. They will have somebody to get, you know, at the top of the line assistant coaches. I think that's a little bit of a challenge there. Bobby marks on ESPN radio's GTL rockets owner Tillman for t- ten GM, Daryl Morey visit my dad Tony at his home in West Virginia this week to smooth over any hard feelings, did Tonia one seventy three and seventy three record over three seasons as rockets had golden used Twenty-three, sixty in the playoffs during that span losing the Golden State the past two

Lakers reportedly to interview former Grizzlies coach J.B. Bickerstaff as coaching search continues
"B Bickerstaff is going to interview for the Lakers. Head coaching position at Bernie, son. It is son. Yes, he spent two seasons as the grizzlies head coach and went forty eight and ninety seven he was also the interim head coach in Houston after Kevin McHale was fired right before the rockets hired Mike, Dan, Tony. He's scheduled to meet with Jeanie Buss. Rob Pelinka Joey bus, Jesse bus, Tim, Harris. And of course, Linda and Kurt Rambis. And yes, his father is Bernie Bickerstaff interim coach five games before. Mike Brown after Mike Brown was fired. But he looks like his dad, of course, you would he's well worked. These are the Lakers coaching candidates, and this is their last two seasons as head coaches JV Bickerstaff was fifteen and forty eight and thirty three and forty nine before he was fired Frank Vogel was twenty nine and fifty three and twenty five and fifty seven for he was fired Jason Kidd, forty two in forty twenty three twenty two five. Admits season final Holland's ten and twenty seven in his last season was fired mid season. And Mike Woodson was thirty seven and forty five before he was fired. That is you'll want to coaching pool. I I don't know enough about J V Bickerstaff to have an opinion. But he's interesting. I always liked his dad. Interesting list. My feeling is that they have completely blue completely blown this coaching. Search not been good. They they should have got money Williams. If that was the guy that they wanted they should've paid whatever and giving him whatever it is. He wanted to get him. Because what I feel like is. If you have someone in mind, that's your number one guy the moment that it goes out to the public. That is your number one guy. He is now your guy otherwise you look like a second option, and you're the Lakers. You can't be the second option. And then when you go to your number two guy, and he turns you down your now on your third option. And everyone knows this is your third option. Well, that's why you know, it's amazing to me. How stuff gets out like?

Officiating becomes focus of Warriors-Rockets Game 1
"Outlets off the heart at the foul line. The control. There. A wild sequence a very apoplectic Mike Tony screaming towards the official. James harden is so difficult to officiate. He's initiating contact. And there was a lot of contact right there. Calls early or no calls for James harden. And of course, the one down the stretch that the NBA said was the correct call warriors would pull out a four point win the series opener rockets, not happy at all with how it came down. But coach Mike dantonio he's moving on yesterday. I shouldn't buddies you guys had a great pity party, and you know, by myself, and then nobody showed up. Walled? So now, you know what? Whether we wanna laws we're gonna bring game Tuesday. And then when when we we're gonna win Saturday, and this is the mentality gotta have and that's part of the game. And I've been all over the points. So it's over I felt sorry for myself. Nobody really helped me out I got throat, and I'll be fine you'll be fine. And you know, what is big game on Tuesday. Mike, Dan, Tony might be moving on Lisi's says he's moving on. But he's those -ation announcing Monday the refs were correct in their pair of no calls in the final seconds. That's at the NBA did say the officials made three crucial. Incorrect calls in the final minute ten of the game, including two would have resulted in Steph curry fouling out. Hurry, those state in the game and wound up making a key three pointer with twenty four seconds to go rockets would like to have had game. What officiated a little bit differently? They were certainly vocal about it. And it's not just game one. They're piping up about the rockets went back and audited game seven from last year's Western Conference finals and into report they sent to the NBA they say, they're Eighty-one. Incorrect calls or no calls. Houston said that deprived them of a spot in the NBA finals. Rockettes may have the New Orleans Saints online to here. Was more. Here's our crew on the jump. The rackets took the league's forty eight minute version of its last two minute report for games they played against Golden State analyze the missed calls that the league Ida fi. But then assign their own point values to what they feel what have fairly come out of those incidents if they were called. So how did the NBA feel about this executive vice president Mike bass told me that quotes as we tell the rackets agree with their methodology? And indeed is that can I looked at it a lot of it is subjective. But regardless it is now also part of the story, which is not what anyone wants during a series that should be its own fireball for the past ball going on on the court. Not for everyone's opinion on the folks in the stripe shirts. Standing nearby. Scotty that is a lot of stuff going on in less than twenty four hours. But it's now all part of this conversation. Do you think the rackets deserve more calls that that would have changed game one? I mean based on what I saw from the rockets into regular-season based on what I've seen James harden. Get into regular season the call. He gets. Yes, he did calls anytime you make contact with a guy when he's still in the air. That's automatically call. I don't care if students at him you have to give him room to come down. You see guys basket all the time shooting. Rauner shooting floaters day get a foul on that contact and they're floating. So it's the same situation would have jumped shooter in in some senses that guys he's fallen boiling. You're not allowed to make contact with the rules of changed a little bit. And I think the way harden launches himself forward because if you watch some of these specially that call at the end of the game, he launches himself. Scotty, I don't know. How many I don't know how much for? But his legs go a bit for they didn't change from. Regular season to the playoffs because he's getting these calls about three weeks ago. Right. But I don't think he should've gotten that calming. According to radio he getting some of them last week. Right. I do think the call your on the league reviewed it. And they said dream on did not fail, and you can't make your landing area as you know, half the court, right? You can't kick your legs out to such a degree that it just becomes everything. And it's to frustration of what they were going skiing. You can try to dodge it, but if you make contact it's a foul, and I felt like the warriors game plan was great because they almost turned their face. They turned their back. They didn't really buy into the file allow the Fisher just automatically call it. And I think that was a big difference maker then them making that call in not making it the Houston Rockets were expecting that very game plan because they have compiled data from every position. Absolutely. Of course. And so they you know, James Harden's game. Let the league in free-throw temps. He needs to get to the line. If you make some shots or Mississippi is gonna go to the line. That's always the case. So if you're Houston, you're going to lay out all these two ticks, and you saw them I did not you're telling me, and I believe you Zach that they're their subjective. Of course, they are. Of course, they are. But I just think it's a shame that this series is going to be focused on
