"A coach buddy of mine who was like, dude, Houston. The Texans? Lovey Smith got them playing defense. They're like, they're legit defensively. So it's like, that's not a walk over. That's not just a, hey, we step over Houston really quick. Now I understand their offense. They're challenged. They're like, that defense is really good. All right. Sorry. Sorry, dude. No way. Wait two. Home opener, Russell's first game here. Yeah, I look at Houston as a walk over. If they can't walk over. Let's run. If they can't walk over Houston, we got issues. I'm just telling you they're defense is, this coach buddy of mine said that defense is legit and a vow coach. All right. Well, if I'm supposed to be worried about Houston, we too, then yeah, this second half of the season where it goes out of the other bye week at Tennessee home against Vegas at Carolina at Baltimore, home against KC home against Arizona at the rams at Kansas City home against chargers. Houston better be a walk over. Otherwise, ten wins is going to be hard to get to. It doesn't matter if you don't walk away. It doesn't matter if you win by one point. They just better be a win. I'm not looking for Waco. I'm looking for wins. I agree with you, but at some point in order to feel confident about that for you. For you to feel better. I need to blow out you to feel better. I need to see some impressive, okay, now that's a statement kind of win right there. I don't need to see him squeezing past Houston in week two. Would you rather them, would you add them, squeak out a loss? No. I want them to win with some dominance. Or how about if they lost? How about they lose, but it's a shootout. It's time 41 40. It's time to change the solid three point loss. It's time to change the standard around here. And no longer is it about, hey, let's got to win here. Let's try to get a win there. No. It's time to start flexing a little bit. All right, all right? Okay. All right, morning brew. Coming your way next. Yeah, what is Pete Carroll? Have to say about week one against the Broncos. That's next. It's time for your morning brew. Grab a cup of Joe and get caught up on everything you need to know. Here's schlereth and Evans. Yeah, it's gonna be really unique. It's gonna be really special. You know, by the end of the day, you know, what I'm looking forward to is just being out here with my teammates and getting after it. I must have been in that stadium and lumen field a bunch. Won a lot of games there. I touch a lot of amazing memories. Some of the amazing teammates of people and so I can't wait to see a lot of people that mean a lot to me, but at the same time, it's ball. We're on a mission. A mission to try to win the whole thing. So you gotta take one game out of time. All right, it is time to start looking ahead to Seattle, Seattle week is here. Oh, so excited. So ESPN fantasy guru, Mike clay, crunched a bunch of numbers and projected the passing lines for every quarterback in every game this season. Here's what he's got for Russell Wilson's game next Monday night at Seattle. 20 one of 33, 251 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. Mayhem, how much number crunching does that take? You just guessing, right? I'm sure there's some sort of formula involved. Well, okay, so for example, you get Gina Smith. This does poke a like you're skeptical. I can see. This adds to your skepticism. Do you know Smith? 22 of 35 for 250 yards, a touchdown in interception. He's basically as Gino going head to head with. Ross. Yeah, same guy. Yeah, you know what? What is his name? Mike clay, my clay. And I don't say. Come on, this is analytics, dude. This is based out of what everybody loves now. Baseball's run by it? Yeah. Nerd stuff. Ruined by it, but run by it. Yeah. And it's all over all around other sports as well. I know that's a rocky rockies are heavy on the analytics side of things. I mean, they knew exactly what they were getting when they signed Iron Man to play 42 games. They knew. They projected 42 games. They projected 42. What's that worth? 180 billion or whatever it was. Next on the morning bro I don't feel like that at all. I mean, I don't feel like any part of any of that is what's true. Other than the fact that that's what people think, you know? I'm not in that business. Now I'm in business to helping these guys get ready to play with all of the work that we do in all of the mentality and the culture and the environment that we're in. We've been averaged in ten wins a year for the last 20 something years, you know? You think I could think anything different than that? I don't. Oh, the flying girl. Defiant. Saying, hey, all I've been doing for the last 20 years going back to my days at USC is averaging ten wins a year. Yeah. I think my standard has changed. Right. Hell no. I can't wait to see him week 12. Things dauber will be done. Just hang dog. A thyroid ten. Yeah, you might not win ten. You might not collectively win ten over the next two and a half seasons. It's great. It's great when these coaches come out and talk about standards and everything like that. Hey, we've built something here. There's other ways to win beside just having the quarterback, yeah? Okay, Pete, you're going to find out what Bill Belichick is in the process of finding out. And I'm going to issue the same warning to Pittsburgh steeler fans as well. Get ready for a new normal. Right. Your day's coming. So Seattle's. You're going to see what the other side of the tracks looks like. We lived in here the last 6 years. And it was the same scenario. We sit here every day. What did the Broncos have to do to write. They can't make any special teams gaffe. Right. They've got to make a couple of big plays on special. Got to be balanced on offense. We got to be balanced on all offense. Can't throw any airships. Defense has got to be, we got to be plus three and a half category. Let's see how many we'll fill this out in the text line. But were all the buzz phrases of the last 6 years. I'll be clear. Any possession ends in a kick is good? Yeah. You have like, you have it. You've got to play. If you've got a backup quarterback, you have to play cliche football. All right, so all right, so for our New England Pittsburgh and Seattle friends out there, all the cliches that we have learned over the last 6 years. That we can now pass along because we're very helpful now. Yes, yeah, exactly. We want to use our knowledge we've learned, we have learned these hey, when you got a quarterback that has a really high ceiling, but he's young. You better have you better be able to run the ball and force them into some play action. Come on. You're a young man and they have her. We get it. Yeah. We get a people. It was your favorite cliches in the last 6 years. Ramos law dot com text line 303-713-1043 next on the morning broom. Fox strikes, triple zeros. And game number one, the Jane doraville era is in the books and number 8 Michigan overpowers Colorado state, the final 51 to 7. Yeah, it's funny. See a radio right there. You can lose 51 to 7 and still feel hopeful about the direction that your program's going in. At CSU. See you? 7 to 6 game at halftime. And up losing a TCU 38 13. And I'm reading the reaction afterwards. And they are just getting eviscerated. Caldera getting hammered. And I'm sitting back on, well, what did you expect for this season? They lost a bunch of transfers. Everyone left the program. Nobody came into the program. By the way, they don't have a quarterback. What were you thinking that this was going to be a 9 win team or something? You're going to be lucky to win. They're going to be lucky to win two games. Seriously, see who's going to be lucky to win two games this year. Not

"Right, we're going to I have two lightning questions for you. And then we're going to get into the 2022 season because I don't want to keep you too long here, but your greatest win in fantasy history, your greatest comeback with its win. I'm sure you have one that resonates with you. A couple of years ago, there's a league called the king's classic. And I hadn't been in the league ever because typically you got to go to canton, and that's where they do the draft. And I just had never been able to travel. I was on the air all the time. So now that things have been different and we had COVID, we I ended up participating in this. And it's like the best of the best when it comes to the fantasy industry. These guys are all awesome. And I was in the finals, and I had never been in the league, so it was the first year. With Mike clay from ESPN, who's a dear friend, and just unbelievably knowledgeable. Like one of the guys I respect the most in the business. Do you remember the Monday night game, bill's patriots? Where Josh Allen is to find digs just went off. Do you remember that game? Yes. I was getting my butt kicked. Clay was killing me. I was down probably 70 something points. I thought I was done. There was no chance. And Alan and Diggs scored more than the number of points I needed to erase the deficit and I ended up winning. That was a big, that was a big one. And in terms of recent memory, I remember that one thinking I was dust. There was no way I was going to win and I won. And then last year, because I love to talk trash about Miz, we play in a couple of leagues together. I think it's like three or four now, but I run my celebrity league and he's in the Alice in Chains league with me and the other guys. And one week we just happen to play each other. So I threw out a little challenge. I said, all right. If I beat you in both of these leagues, you have

"Running game because they've been ahead so often over the last two months that may not be the case in this one, but again, when they throw, he tends to hit this mark in the packers, by the way, really talented and deep secondary, especially at the cornerback position, but they have about 55 plus yards to 18 wide receivers this season. And of course, is about one per game. If someone's going to do it for the forty-niners, it's probably going to be Devo Samuel. So loving the Samuel overs. I love it as well. My favorite play is debo Samuel over carries that line has not hit yet, but he had ten carries for 72 yards, and of course we saw him score a touchdown. I also like him anytime touchdown as well. You get that at minus one O 5. He's got 9 touchdowns in his last 8 games, so you know what a crucial part. And I definitely I feel as well because of the weather conditions he's going to be a big part of that as well. The Green Bay Packers, 30th defense against running backs in regard to yards per carry. So he should have a monster day in the rushing attack. Some other prophets that I'm looking at, ayuk over 51 and a half receiving yards. His last three games he's getting 23% of the targets. The Green Bay Packers play a lot of zone defense. And I averages 16 yards per catch against zone defenses. So I'm going over 51 and a half receiving yards. Aaron Jones, I'm going under 52 and a half rushing yards. You've got a you've got a forty-niners team that the third best team against opposing running backs. They're only allowing 3.5 yards per carry. And as we know, Jones not a 100%. So he's sharing that load in the backfield with AJ Dillon. So again, under 52 and a half rushing yards, Allen lazard, anytime touchdown, you get that at plus one 75, Mike, he's got 9 count of 9 in zone targets, not just red zone targets in zone targets in his last 7 games, the highest on the team, even more so than devonte Adams. So lazard anytime touchdown at plus one 75, I think there's a really, really good odds. And last but not least, MBS, I'm waiting for this number to drop. It hasn't yet, but I'm keeping an eye on longest recession. The forty-niners are allowing 50% completion percentage in passes thrown 50 yards or more. And as we know, that's MBS's Wheelhouse. So I'm going to see if that lands anywhere between 20, 25 yards. I'm going to play the over there considering the forty-niners are very susceptible to that. So those are just a few of the profits. I know the plethora of progress that I'm playing, but more importantly, I'm with you. I think if the forty-niners are going to beat the Green Bay Packers, it's going to be because it's going to be because Devo Samuels has a monster day. All right, Sunday, afternoon, the rams at the bucks. What you got here, Mike clay? Yeah, my favorite one is actually defense, but it's on the defensive side, but you will know this name, some fellow by the name of Aaron Donald. I'm going over three and a half combined tackles here that's solos plus assists. Look, he has at least four total tackles in 13 of 18 games this season that's a 72% hit rate, but four of the 5 games that he did not get this during weeks one to 7. So he started slow and then had ten consecutive games to finish the regular season with the least four combined tackles. Now he did only have one last week against the eagles, but they were throwing the ball at time playing from behind. It was a blowout and he rested. He only played right around 70% of the snaps in that game, generally he plays 89%. So he'll be on the field for pretty much every play you would expect this to be a more competitive game. They're going to need him to dominate. He's not going to be resting against his Tampa Bay team. So again, I'm at over on this one. He's been kind of money in the bank when he's been a full go this season. So that's my best play from this game. I have a few others. You can check out in the column, but that one really stands out. I love it. Considering as well, you've got Tom Brady who's going to be playing behind a subpar offensive line because a lot of his guys are going to be injured if they do suit up. So I love that prop bet. Here's a few that I like. I like Tom Brady over 38 and a half passing attempts. He had 55 in the first game back in week three. I think the bucks are going to be playing from behind. And I think Tom is going to have to sling that rock a lot and the fact that he slung at 55 times the first time these two teams met, I think over under over 30 and a half is a pretty solid number. I'm waiting to see what the numbers come out for cam Akers. Obviously, he surprised a lot of us last week in regard to being the premier back in that backfield over Sony Michelle, that number hasn't hit yet. Cooper Cup, 98 and a half receiving yards, I'm going over there. That number obviously has dipped down in regard to the last few weeks. The box 28th against slot receivers..

"All right, I need a marks Mike clay with you again for the divisional rounds of playoffs. Mike, how you doing? I'm doing pretty well in a nice sweet last week, column did well. Our first ever player prop playbook that we had in the site. So we crush it. That's a bad beats on the defensive side, but we crush it off. And so looking forward to doing it again for the four games this weekend. Yeah, we went 17 and 14 last week. So we keep on we're hovering around that 58 59 percent accuracy here on our podcast that launches each and every Friday. So let's keep it going. And we'll break down every game. Obviously, the first game this week, the Bengals at the Titans. What are the prop bets you have here that you're looking at? Yeah, so I actually have a ton from this game for whatever reason the last two. Well, I guess it's because they're the first game, right? There hasn't been many injury questions, but there's been a ton of Bengals props available early. So there's a laundry list that will be available in that playbook column. But the one that stands out the most is perhaps my favorite bet of the weekend, which is the Joe Mixon unders under 16 and a half carries at even money. This has fallen down from 17 and a half and also right now it's 59 and a half rushing yards. Now again, that's kind of floating around 59 to 63. We'll see if it falls any further, but I like the Enders as it stands right now. Look is season averages this year are both above those marks, but there's three reasons to like the Enders. One of them is recent struggles. He has not been good as of ladies, but under 60 rushing hearts at 5 of his last 6 games, and he's been under 3.9 yards per carry in all 6 of those games. The efficiency has been not been there despite some pretty nice volume. Also, the volume while it's been decent in the carry column over the past few weeks, it has got trending down and the reason is that Bengals are the pass heaviest offense in the NFL over the last four weeks adjusted for game script, right? They are using Joe burrow more and you're seeing the production. You're seeing the efficiency you're seeing the scoring. That's not going to change going forward, especially in competitive games. And an E to the third reason is the Titans outstanding against running backs. Maybe the best in the league. They've faced the second fewest running back carries this season. They've allowed the second fewest rushing yards to that position. Only four running backs have even reached 55 yards on the ground against none have since we gate and two of the two of the four backs that did are Jonathan Taylor. Maybe the best running back in the NFL, only two running backs have reached 17 carries against him this season, none have gone over 18. So a ton of reasons to like the mix and unders in this one. I love it in that place exactly into all the profits that I'm playing and that is mixing not utilized so much in the rushing attack, but in the passing attack, he's got four if not more receptions in his last three games. So I do see them utilizing him in the passing game, so I like over three and a half receptions this week. Also, as you pointed out, it's difficult to run against the Titans. Therefore, I think the Bengals are going to continue to be aggressive in the passing game. Therefore I like Joe burrow over 35 and a half passing attempts. I also like Joe burrow over 8 and a half rushing yards. And last but not least, Boyd over 45 and a half receiving yards that you know this better than most Mike because you got one of the best columns each and every week when it comes to wide wide receiver cornerback matchups and the Tennessee Titans, one of the worst in regard to defending slot wide receivers, in fact, their last game. They allowed Danny Amendola 7 receptions for a 130. Danny Amendola, a 113 receiving yards in two touchdowns. So they've allowed slot receivers to score touchdowns. 15 times this season. So Boyd over 45 and a half receiving yards, the Derrick Henry rushing totals have not hit yet. I'm waiting to see what happens there. I'm sitting back, but just a note, you know, this is a sense that he bangles defense. In the last 5 games, running backs are averaging 5.5 yards per carry. They have not been good against the rush. So I'm waiting to say I'm curious. I'm waiting to see what those rushing totals are going to be. But again, those are the prop bets that I just shared with you that I have already laid some coin on. Second game on Saturday night, forty-niners at the packers, weather conditions are supposed to be worse than what we saw in Buffalo this past week. So I'm curious, what are the prop bets you like in this matchup, Mike? Yeah, I'm going to talk to ivo Samuel here over 54 and a half receiving yards. Now I like the over rushing yard prop last week. We obviously hit on that. He crushed that one. I think you could go a bunch of different directions with depot this week. You can go over rushing yards. I like that one. You can go over receiving yards. You can go over scrimmage yards, but the reason I'll kind of lay out the case for leaning toward the receiving artist prop. And look, he's first of all, he's been over this line in 12 of 17 games. It's a 71% hit rate pretty good. That includes four of his last 5 games. But again, the reason I'm going with this one over the others is because of potential game script, right? The forty-niners are 8 and one since debo side, big boost in rushing attempts, but there's 6 point underdogs in Green Bay. You know, most people expect to packers to win and lead throughout this game. So the forty-niners are going to have to throw the ball more often and check this out. Debo has at least 52 receiving yards in all 6 of the forty-niners losses. He's been active for this season and he's gotten to 55 and all but one of those games that includes week 16 when they lost the Tennessee had like a buck 50 and that one. So again, he's been able to kind of focus in on the.

"App on your marks. Mike clay is is. We've me as well last week. We went twenty one and twelve on the season. We are fifty one in thirty seven. Which means mike. We are sixty one. Her set baby. Yep we're we're rolling a month Three point eight units in my column as well so Could start the season. And i think we'll get better right. We're getting more and more information. We know what to look for. And you know we're hoping to increase that hit rate as the year goes on here. I love it. I love it all right. Let's start. let's start with the london game nine. Am on on sunday morning. You've got the jets going up against atlanta atlanta. No calvin ridley. Both these defenses will jets deep bench a little bit better than atlanta. But still you know a few things here to plays that. I like here. Mike one is quarterback patterson the way that arthur smith is been utilizing him is really been sensational give credit where credit's due. I mean you know. He's been on several teams and figures out how to use his talents in his ability. So the number isn't out yet. But i like the over in receiving yards for quarter l. Patterson this week that's one of my favorite plays especially with no calvin ridley matt ryan is going to have to go somewhere and the other one that i like is michael carter over eleven and a half carries. I believe this game is going to be a lot closer than what the jets have previously experienced. It's evident that michael carter. Now is the lead back in the backfield. And i believe that they're going to run the ball more they the jets run the ball over forty percent of the time when the game is is is is close so i like over eleven and a half carries for michael carter and also i like over in receiving yards for patterson makes sense for sure It's gonna be interesting to see how they deploy patterson in this one especially because he's been mostly lining up in the backfield right. He's splitting with mike. Davis people want him to be a new. They want us to list him as a rece wide receiver in fantasy at espn. But he's playing running back. He splitting the snaps davis. Yeah he lined up at receiver sometimes but so do most running back so might be more receiver than others. But you know he's still a running back number one but you know they need help but receiver so we'll see what they do here in week. Five let's talk about the bengals and the green. I love the bengals in this spot in the prophets that. I'm going to be playing this game. Jamar chase over sixty five and a half receiving yards as we know Alexander is out. Here alexandra is out of the of the secondary for the green bay packers with a shoulder. Issue in their secondary isn't great to begin with. I came across an interesting stat. I'm sure you're aware this might. And that is chase. Leads all receivers in the nfl in receiving yards against man coverage two hundred fifty already through the season. So i love chase over sixty five and a half receiving yards also I'm a huge joe borough fan. I love over one. And a half touchdown passes Again i i believe this. Green bay packers secondary. Is there for the taking. So those are my two bets in this in this matchup. I know you've got someone job bro. As well right. I do i do yeah i think the volume stats are too high here. I'm under on really across the board under thirty six and a half pass attempts under twenty four completions under two hundred seventy one and a half passing. I liked them all look. He's been under thirty three pass attempts in every game this season. He's averaging twenty six point eight and yet. The lion is thirty. Six and a half. That's well above. Both of those numbers anita. He hasn't even dropped back to pass thirty six times. This season and the attempt line is thirty. Six and a half. he's been below twenty one completions in three or four games. The only exception was that. Jags game last thursday when he was obviously hyper efficient at home against the poor defense and he's been below two hundred and sixty two yards as well in three of the four games with the exception. Being that jags game so this is a very run heavy offense. It's a competitive team. I don't think they're going to get blown out and enforce burrowed after. Throw the ball at a ton in this game and look. The guy's barely in the top thirty in pass attempts. I just think these numbers are way too high. And look. I know joe mixon is not going to be there and they're an underdog and maybe maybe they do fall behind. They just go with the pass this week but i think everything we've seen this season points toward the unders patriots against the texans We know what happens. When rookie quarterback goes up against bill ballot. Check but more. Importantly i like damian harris over sixty seven and a half rushing yards this week against a very porous texans defense. That's just horrendous against the rush. They're giving up over five yards per carry in. And i think you know unlike what we saw last week where you had to pass against the buccaneers to be them. I think they go back to the rushing attack in. So i like over. Sixty seven and a half rushing yards for harris this week. What what are your pets in this game. Yes so. I'm going. Wesley up on interception props you've done quite a few of them. This year are point four unit silver. I'm gonna go back to the well. And and go with both quarterbacks in this game too. So davis mills yes thrown interception that open that minus ten. It's down to one minus one ninety. So that's really interesting against new england team fully expecting to get picked off at least once releases a good chance of it. So i'm taking that match jones. Yes to throw an interception. That's plus money. That's plus twenty You know he's thrown. What is it four interceptions over his past two games and he's still got this one plus money. I know that the texans are struggling defensively. But that's a hard one to pass on especially considering. He's a first round rookie making his fifth. Nfl start so yes to both interception props here miami against the tampa bay bucks Like i said just a second ago. You can't rush against the tampa bay bucks. You could only pass against them. And so i love waddell over four. And a half receptions fuller is is out with an injury so i think waddles gonna get a significant a of targets and again that but secondary is is nothing spectacular in the other property. I like is leonard fournette over rushing yards again. That total has not been posted yet. I'm sure it will obviously before game time But you've got you've got some injuries that are Giovanni bernard to that backfield and on. I think that this has the potential to be a blow out. And i think the bucks are going to rely heavily on that rushing attack especially in the in the second half. So i like over rushing yards for leonard fournette this week. What do you have in this matchup. Yeah interesting for sure. I'm going. Tom brady over two and a passing touchdowns again get plus money or plus one fifteen low key. Is that like. He's money to hit three passing touchdowns he's actually only throw them. What over his past two games but he did hit hit four in weeks. One and two Last season obviously at a terrific gear. He reached three passing touchdowns in nine of his twenty games. Average two and a half. So he's right on this line and look bucks or so throwing the ball deep scripted. Pass heaviest offense in the nfl. They've scored almost eighty percent of their touchdowns through the air. And it's not a fluke very past heavy near the goal line Then you're playing texans defense. It's allowing three and a half touchdowns for second worse in the nfl so Brady to get to three against here. Plus money era she against No not playing houston right. Is that miami. Play miami tech one fifteen. That's great yeah so If the wrong defensive stat here Correctly myself on the fly in eat up but nonetheless. Miami's defense obviously not playing as well as they were last year so Still like him to get to this number eagles against the panthers can't wait to watch this one. Mike prophet here is on jalen hurts over. Forty four and a half rushing yards once again. The eagles offense applying all banged up. I know you're huge eagles. Fan mike. They've gotta do something with like their trainers or their medical staff. I'd be like each and every year. You know the guys who play in the trenches just can't last you know past like the first quarter of the season but nonetheless you gotta panthers team. Their wits rate is just ridiculous. I think hurts is going to be running for his life So i like over..

"Nfl views him as a player that even when he's not drawing top coverage because of aj brown and even when he's got a very efficient quarterback and even when when things are going well the running game can draw a ton of attention for the defense. That maybe he's not bound for the massive state of his his fantasy success. Sometimes the wall comes fast for nfl players. I'm not saying that's happened yet. For who john week but tough one for me. I totally totally get it. Because they're on the road at seattle tough place to play seattle. Look good sounds like rain. In the forecast which seattle it could change and also could be pouring rain. It's and recruit seattle's defense look good against the call with you know so it's really wanting. It is a tricky one. I i'm hoping he does not have a good game. Because you and i play each other in the war room league this week ryan tannehill big derrick henry. Game okay handoffs. I hope it's like six touchdowns for derrick henry and five for ryan tannehill which seems reasonable enough to me right. Yeah let's make it happen joel. Henry julio jones is the one of the most difficult players to rank for this book. I think i haven't right around wide receiver thirty so he's a borderline flex play this week. I hope i'm not overreacting too much again. Really the story of that day of that game between the cardinals and the titans was the defensive front of the cardinals completely overwhelming. That titans offensive line is going to do a for coming back tomorrow so on thursday show. We'll have mike clay available to preview thursday night football. We'll take a look at the upcoming washington football team against the new york. Giants matchup possible talk about wide. Receiver quarterback matchups. Perhaps some news. Anything else to plug on the way out. No i'll i'll be up late tonight. Finishing up love hate a guy basically takes me two nights to finish it so i won't be here tomorrow. Show but michael do a great job and thinks to find his back as well. All righty and yes so tomorrow. Love hate new. Love hate column in new episode of the pants show on. Espn plus check both of them. "He's definitely the bengals wide receiver and we talked about him in the season-long show but the bengals wide receiver based on price point. That i love this no questions for matchup usual but the volume of either. Yeah davante adams. Eighty three hundred dollars. Michael which seems anytime you get. Devante adams under nine k. Feels like a steal doubt. Michael pittman forty one hundred dollars. Devante smith forty five hundred dollars. Taking on the falcons jerry. Judy under five k. At forty eight hundred and jalen rigor thirty. Seven hundred dollars again. Taking on the falcons. Jalen rigor i realized struggled. Didn't do all the things that we were hoping to see his last year as a rookie but thirty seven hundred dollars my clay. Yeah no question about it. We both us receivers in there. We talked about jalen hurts. You could potentially put some stacks together in in tournament. Keep in mind with wattle willfuller suspended. So he's gonna come in and play a huge role. You might think well devante parker and fuller and they might want us guys. There's no fuller in this game. He is going to play a huge role. And i can apply this data both waddell and devante monte smith. They were both top. Ten picks six of the seven wide receivers picked on the top ten over the past decade. Who didn't get hurt played. Thirteen plus games. Six of the seven were top. Thirty fantasy receivers so again possible. These price points go way up for a guy like smith and waddell going forward. Really interesting about t- higgins to fortieth price receiver. This week he finished twenty one in his in his Fourteen four games last year and again. We expect them to be pretty clear number. One in this match up as tomorrow chase learns how to learn how to catch the ball. Honestly and that sounds like i'm insulting. But he said he's having a hard time with it. He said transitioning from college to the pro ball has been an issue and he said we still learning the ropes. And he's gonna come along slowly. In the meantime it should be the t. Higgins and tyler boyd. Show i love it. i'm all in. There are so many wide receivers. We couldn't even name them all but definitely go in there so many valley wide receiver this week and check out. Both mike and al have beautiful articles on. Espn you can go and check out. Mike you've got a great Value reiter that. We're able to go through and talk about if they're great values good values what you like so really really useful definitely check that out with your best buys column which we love every week so definitely check that one out too tight ends. Let's get. We're getting real close to the end. Mike favorite part of the show where we talk about why. My lineup is better than yours kyle. Pits comes in at forty four hundred dollars taking on your philadelphia. Eagles another rookie. That just feels like they're priced super-low but a rookie. How do you know what the expectations are. Mike clay and well because he was a top five pick case i mean he didn't do a lot in the preseason but catches the ball and then you're dislike. I should have drafted this player with the first overall. Pick as all my goodness. I looks ridiculous. So look here's the thing though. Playing the eagles match appear against their you know reworked linebackers and safety. So and you'll probably see some avant in slot he's kind of a defacto slot receiver But he's about. He's almost half the cost of travis kelsen and that's what makes him really appealing chelsea's good value too but considering that pisses about half half the price and makes him a very appealing here should be the number two target beyond calvin really right away again like the matchup and how about this. He is six foot six. He is six inches. On calvin rarely n russell gauge and we expect them three to be the top targets really dominate targets of those three guys. Well once i get to the goal line the guy that's six inches taller. That's where the ball is going to go. We've seen that historically in the nfl just based on play calling so that's another edge. Good chance that he scores a touchdown in this matchup so like pets alive at this price. Yeah no one of the things that i have said often is. You can't teach size and are known for saying that. Yeah yeah and that's one of the things with kyle pits that. I think you're great point there. You go allah. I wanna talk with you about tight ends because you love logan thomas this week again. Only forty six hundred dollars for the washington. Football team love him. I love this price. Point talked to us about why. You love logan thomas hero like the zig when everybody else zags. If everybody's gonna look over here. And say ooh kyle pitch shiny new toy and he's a great value in a situation to make fun of me i think. So am i looking at it. And i'm gonna look over here. And say logan thomas who led the league in terms of routes run her quarterback dropback last year and was signed to a long term deal after his breakout year last season where we saw him basically garner more targets and more endzone usage. More red zone us as the season went on. This team is going has already committed to him. And it's going to continue to keep him in that role and he's on the field these not out there to block. He's basically a wide receiver. Who's just bigger and a little bit husky. Or so they let him have that tight end role at least in fantasy. So i'm paying two hundred more to be a little bit more contrarian over collpase and guess what arbeit for me to think that. It's magic is a better quarterback than what he had last year. But i think that there's going to be improved quarterback play so you have all of those things in terms of volume and routes run and targets and we get better quarterback play from somebody who's going to challenge so i really like logan thomas both in season-long but specifically for this week based on everything that you have to think about when you're playing in tournament towels point. They're just an awesome stats. Logan thomas had a top ten fantasy week with four different quarterbacks last year. None of those four quarterbacks are starting this weekend while or even starting the season at all. They're not starters in the nfl. Pretty incredible now. He goes to ryan fitzpatrick who was top third and qbr last year. Something like third or fourth. Qbr i mean if he plays at that. Level of washington is super bowl candidate. We'll see if he can do it for a full season. Watch out yeah. Couple of tight ends that we really love travis kelsey. We'd be remiss not every week. We basically have to mention travis. Kelsey eighty three hundred dollars taken on cleveland. George sixty three hundred dollars taking on the detroit. Lions feels like a great spot for kiddle. Against what is going to be a tough detroit defense for me all year long..

"We are going to not only have an audio product but this year we're going to stream the entire thing and it will be available on youtube. After we get done taping it will be able to share that you guys can watch the video of the dfs podcast as well with me. Mike clay and our buddy al zaid and felt so. If you're in a dfs definitely follow along there. And where can you find that. If you download podcasts. Listen Right into the fantasy focus. Football fiji need to go anywhere. It's just going to populate right there for you. That is amazing right into the football fantasy. Focus football podcast feed so earlier in the show. We talked about lately on bell signed with the baltimore ravens maybe eventually becoming the urging running back on the active roster for now he's on the practice squad well for now we also know it's the gusts bus show in baltimore as gus. Edwards is the undisputed starting running back going into the season math along those lines. How high does he. Climbing your rankings. In week one matchup right here on. Espn monday night. Football against the las vegas raiders. i'm at eighteen. I'm the highest on him among all of our ranker's but i'm worried honestly that i'm not high enough. This is a really good match. I think he scores okay. I'm just. I'm just call that right. Now i think he scores a touchdown pass. Catchers of the ravens are a bit banged up here. They have a behind gus edwards. They haven't inexperience guy. Tyson williams to your point lane bell is still on the practice squad even if they activate him for this game hard to see him getting into the game other than maybe a player to my expectation is lean on gus edwards in a road game monday night football that he gets a big workload and a good matchup scores a touchdown i think he scores at least one. So honestly i'm at eighteen. And i might be too low. Yeah i have them at a one thousand. Nine cam. hasn't twenty-one mike. What i'm most interested in is. Why do hate gus edwards. Oh no no. I wanna see whether or not they get him involved the passing game it all this weekend and that's the concern for me as well with edwards which is why we're not higher on him right. Look at this. You look at greg. Roman play collar and you look at his seven seasons as a play caller in the nfl. Six of his running back. Units top ten in rushing yards and touchdowns. That's pretty telling actually both baltimore. Offenses were top six in those categories. None of the seven were top. Twenty and running back targets. None of that is a trend. And we've seen time and time again with greg. Roman at that changes this season with jk dobbins out of there right. There was some swirling. Maybe they would throw more to that position but without dobbins. I don't think that happens. However we're talking about a lot of positives here with gus edwards. A high scoring offense a really. Good up against the raiders. Defense we expect a struggle certainly early in the season and look edwards has been really good right. he's been around since two thousand eighteen. You went undrafted. He is second in yards per carry at five point. Two in the entire. Nfl among running backs of course during that span. So something's not like. Mpp are the lack of targets it is going to limit him a little bit of a mid range tobacco rb to non. I certainly feel a little better about. The bottom. line is a v. scores. You're in business if not it could be trouble. There implied team. Total is twenty eight points. When you look at the over unders and again we expect them to be up in this game. We expect them to be running. Edwards has nine career games. He's gotten fifteen or more touches in those games. He's averaging over ninety three yards a game over five yards per carry. I think he gets big workload here. I think he scores a touchdown on monday night. I'm making. I'm pushing my vegas pushing my trips to the middle on that one gus edwards gets into the end zone on monday night. All right so the rams have a couple of running backs this year. They've got a potential new starting running back. I should say daryl henderson and it also certainly michelle acquired in a trade earlier. This training camp. Would you start either of these players against the bears in week. One through a pretty good bears defense for the most part. And this rams offense that we think it's going to be very very good matthews operate under center but it could be very very good because they throw for like five thousand yards and thirty five passing touchdowns. Yeah i mean. The bears always play the rams tough. It feels like you know over over the years. And and so i would i start them obviously depends on your options. I've henderson twenty six. I've sony michelle at thirty four. So if i'm picking one rams running back right now. It's henderson the expectation here. Is that henderson's involved in the passing game here again i have ms mid tier flex so probably not see how this tough match-up let's see how this plays out because we're still not really sure what this rotations going to look like. We think henderson over michelle but to your point we think michelle gets the goal line work. We think he gets short yardage stuff. It could be henderson just as the third down back. So let's see how this plays out the one thing. I'll say on henderson. Is that if there's a guy that can break a big play. I think it's more likely to be henderson than sony. Michelle and if they can't run the ball between the tackles..

Didn't even have preseason so very thankful excited for the regular season. Donau ian so good to have you on here and a listen at the end of the day. We got a lot of fantasy players out there. And i got to know. We watched last night's game. James had himself a hell of a game looked like a completely different player. But what are you expecting. Really out of james this season and not to mention that the saints skill position players as well ken marquez. Calloway how about night from him too for those. That didn't catch those highlights diving. Catch him between two defenders and then one handed over shat griffin. Like this was not empty. Stats against scrubs marquez. Calloway earning some think. He's someone that should be anyone's top fifty receivers at the moment. I guess the issue james is this as much as we all love. James i mean literally anything can happen every play when james gets the ball. I appreciate guys like that particularly on red zone. James hasn't always been a great face quarterback though he really almost never has been twenty. "I figured i'd give you some of the players that make my favorite's list and if you're upset about the name lacking originality workshop and yet but my first name is field alliteration fields favorites if you have something better our way right now on the field of okay. Maybe we have to do something with field about. I mean what about What about your chapin's my as my wife. His wife name is chapman. You love shape and obviously so this would be the football versions of your tape in like. What are you love more than chapman right exactly. It is original original however. I'd not sure that. If i just like randomly put that under the universe most people will be like. Oh yes this guy. I know his wife stay. Misshapen but how about this for a gift for your wife. I mean what if that becomes a cinema. Honey i brought you brandon euch. Wow that really would be. I have done some romantic things in my marriage. But that's about that top list right there right right that i mean that's up. There goes in boy. What about your golden boys. The boys fields favorites for neo name. Cisco golden boy has his own instagram accounts. Here's the no big deal. Here is the the gist of the article. It's pretty simple it's players. it's not players that you haven't heard of right this is not sleepers. This is not players that If you haven't listened to the fantasy focus before haven't been paying attention. You would not be aware of as a matter of fact. Some of these players are bona fide stars just players i find myself gravitating towards and perhaps a few spots more optimistic in the rankings than others or i think. This guy is bound for a massive massive year this year. And if i had to give a captain fields favorites team this year it's cowboys wide receiver cd lamb. Who has been the talk of the town during cowboys training camp. He felt a seventeenth on the board last year. In the real nfl draft. There's no way to ever gone that low seventeenth cowboys who were not looking for a wide receiver in the first round. Where like how can we bypass a player who might be one of the five best. In the entire draft this is shades of calvin ridley in atlanta who slid to atlanta twenty four th overall three years ago in the falcons just took them even if they didn't need him at the time he eventually became the best wide receiver at least fantasy wise and arguably just overall in atlanta. It happened pretty quickly. That's where see llamas heading towards this year. Mike you of course our projections or the projections tell you about. We're cd-rom ranks even amongst his own teammates. I think he's the top guy right now. Especially with mario cooper missing some time i moved. I moved lamb ahead of cooper in the projections with some tweaks for projected target share. Maybe a little miss time for amari cooper but the towns they're the pedigree's areas of first round. Pick entering your too. i mean. of course we expect him to take a step forward and keep this in mind too. He was wide receiver in fantasy with dak prescott last season. I mean what an xactly. What if he didn't get hurt. I mean we might have been. We might be talking about him with justin jefferson all off season long instead of him starting to spike right. Now as we're in mid august. And i think what's exciting is if you're if you're seeing some of the Some of the reports at a dallas cowboys camp is they are lining them all over the field. His route tree is really expanded this year. We always talk about how it player makes the biggest jump from year one to year. Two and well. That's what. cd lamb as we expect. Cd lamb who has already great when he got got into the nfl. We all expect him to Take another leap this year. He's like the mike clay of nfl wide receiver. Because mike can be multiple places at one time as ken. Cd lamb lineup. In this logic lineup. On the perimeter. Mike clay can be here on radio also on daily wage at the exact same time wearing two very different outfits. My commander many towns that was like twenty minutes ago to we're just we're just lying right through this thing. It's a marathon right on. Its back to back. You guys know if i had the gumption i'd put cdrom wide receiver five because i think there's a chance finish as one of the five best and fantasy this year. Another player that look just the fact that he is sometimes being taken ahead of or being drafted head of amari. Cooper should tell you something. I mean because like a mortar. Cooper's really good twenty million dollars a year right get amari cooper. Some slouch like amari. Cooper is really good and and young still and and by the way malcolm michael gallup. That's why we talked about in the first hour. Why i'm so high on dak prescott despite you know the noise about his shoulders to give them a clean bill of health. I'm in on dak min on the cowboys offense disappointingly so as washington but kabul is going to be good offensively. This your very good with good reason to be in on them. I'll give you one title. Only one tight end made my list. This year fields favorites a jonah smith in new england got titan eight well above most other rankers here and this is not about what he has done. It's a reminder that in free agency you are wise to pay a player for what you expect him to do not what he has done up to that point. Even if that's been greatness. Johnny smith if you were to i i said this if you were to have an nfl combine right now and just put all the nfl tight ends in there. He might win this arbitrary. Combine that making it would win the decathlon if there was a ton to kathleen. Maybe he are. Perhaps george kelly's an absolute freak though athletically. The problem was he played in the third. Least pass. happy offense last year. Who also happened to have. Aj brown and derrick henry as the primary arteries in their offense johnny smith when he got the football space was electric. There's a play last year. I think i might have been actually was more than last year. Couple years ago where there was interceptions thrown in the end zone and johnny smith was like twenty five yards behind the intercepting player and he meets him like eighty yards down the field and brings them down. And you're like he pulled the nikkei metcalf. Everyone knows that gas play exactly like the also the James harrison play from the super bowl. That is the kind of athlete that johnny smith is end earlier in the show. Matthew mentioned following the money you don't pay a guy fifty million bucks which patriots are going to over the next four years without making him a huge part of your offense mike. I know it's really hard to have too tight end sustained in one offense but do you think. I'm unwise report of putting my chips onto the table. Johnny you know you covered all the things. I was gonna fire back already like we've worked together for a long enough. You knew where. I was going past performance hunter henry. The tight ends In this offense but look..

"Off target rate was twenty six percent that was fourth highest among wide receiver. So he didn't have a chance on a lot of those balls thrown his way so keep that mindset to your point. He missed five games as well but he's also really young. He's only twenty two so even for a second year receiver. Very young player should play. Every every down roles could be a sixty snap player with the twenty percent target share. And if he gets that he's probably going to be a top 35-ish wide receiver. Maybe top forty. So i if he stays healthy and sees that sort of volume. So i'm interested in the twelfth round of twelve team leaks about where he's going. Sure your question. And i know we're going to get to the titans here in a second as a part of this but jalen rigor is the fourth or fifth option. If you consider jalen hurts legs as an option on this offense. Is that fair rigorous. Yeah no got her miles sanders. Devante smith in terms of targets. I think he'll be second. I think with erz there. They'll kinda he'll steal a couple from cannibalizing her in a little bit. I still think over pretty high target share to the tight end position which we'll talk about shortly but i could see it being like twenty four percent smith if he pans out. Nineteen percent raygor seventeen percent god or fourteen percent or second they may be like eleven. Twelve percents anders. That's kind of the the distribution their favorite part about my clay is that i think those numbers those percentages truly were in his head. He's not just like making them up on the phone at all. no i mean i. Do i do projections year. Round is on twitter. They're always there. So i'm looking at that stuff every single day mike clay. Nfl on twitter for not following him. Really the joke is on you. So what i'm realizing. I realize every august is that you know you go through all these different wide receivers and they see a lot of big category right so. I don't know that i'm here to tell you. Jalen rigor is better than this other late round. Flyer that we've discussed in recent days more. The context is that i think he's fast mic to these young. I think he's got some toughness. I know it's been a tough training camp for him so far at least by some accounts so not really necessarily prioritizing him but his in one of those names that if you're looking for is mike noted a potential number two target in his own offense he would fit that i love them late round high pedigree talents first and second year guys whether it's a rookie or think about a dj. Or maybe tyler was year three but those kinda guys right. If they're really talented drafted early. They sold a shot a path to touch. Take a late flyer. Those guys they hit those are the guys we got two tight ends in philly for right now. It's no mystery. The zakar i play elsewhere tells them no mystery that is not one. Philly's not want to trade him without getting something back in return promised to do a lot of money for this not play well last year and i believe he feels like he deserves a new contract. And i'm not here to dog soccer. It's the guy's been an unbelievable player for a long time. Another example guy. Who had everything go wrong last season. That could go wrong but with two tight ends in philly. It's hard to plant your flag on either of them as a lock it in difference maker at the position which for many years zach ertz was but we clearly have a preferred target amongst these two. It's dallas qatar tight. End nine for me eight for you. Seven for daniels in descending order right there as ab is tight. End eight mike. Good player Solid target's share last year. When he did play has missed some time over his first two seasons but good solid player. The limiting factor is just that zacharias could bounce back. Maybe not to where he was three years ago but bounced back to a closer version to himself and all of a sudden. You've got dallas scott splitting targets with yet. Another tight end yeah. I'd feel better about him. If if i was not there. Obviously but he did see pretty generous targets when even splayed last season. So you like to see that He played at least eighty percents of the snaps in nine games last season and three in fantasy points just under seven targets per game. You know he's been top eleven and fantasy points per game a each of the past few seasons that it should be tightened friendly scheme we would think coming from. You know this common indianapolis certainly was philadelphia. Has been in the past and you would imagine would be now. So i think he is. Now they're certified number one which he never was in past years he's already producing fantasy. I think it's his job. So i think even with urge their inner reduced from hassle play still play a lot. i mean. they don't have a really locked in number three receive right now so i still think it's gonna be a lot too tight end packages out on the field. I still think he can overcome that and be again tight. End seven eight nine finish rate in that range. Yeah i just think the upside is limited if you have urge there as like in from sort of breaking through that glass ceiling and getting into tier of. Let's say not a kelsey or a kid. Laura waller but in the next little pocket of tight ends maybe a mark andrews type that could have eight or nine touchdown upside every single season. What's your guests on the record. This your mike. What do you think it takes a while. Now because two point eight and seven point four but you have to think about what course right..

"The waiver wire calm for a number of weeks like enticed every week. You're like guys. Do you understand what james crowder is doing here. Especially in pr like you know but in you always have to take camp records with a camp reports with a grain of salt. I'm telling you right now. But the allies you're more like high. Trade is out of control hype. Train is out of control. Train is moving fast right now. But you're right matthew and that. I'm not saying this is what i don't think that allies more guaranteed to fall into this bucket but every year i mean almost every team. There's like ten guys per roster they're like oh my god. This player looks amazing. Right i mean how. Many players are receiving positive buzz. Right now we're talking about it again. And i'm not trying to like earlier. We were talking like nikiel. Area has been legitimately one of the most housed about players at the patriots training camp. Who knows if that will amount to anything. So i think lies more a player. I i think we all kind of agree is really potentially useful in dynasty. Don't know that he's the kind of guy that a touchdown upside you just don't see. i mean. we talked about this. Mike clay for years on the podcast nonetheless. Lot receivers with a bunch of tied inequity. Right russia and equity. Excuse you just don't see a bunch of guys that are five foot eight diminutive in size going up and winning with fades in the red zone or something like that. So i actually think. It's corey davis said. I would believe it or not because first of all like it's laughable. How we don't. He's like we've talked about five thousand times and yet we can't just like get ready to accept. It's just a good solid football player right. Like not sure. He lived the fifth overall. Pick billing when he came out but just a good solid started out with some in he. He had a bad hamstring injury as rookie year. Like what he has to health issues. Right correct so i think. Corey davis is the jets player amongst pastors that. I'm most interested in rostering. Let me ask you another question. Though one of these players blows up this year and finish his top twenty fantasy wide receiver. Which one is it. Who's most likely to be the answer to that question. I'm going to go with cory. Cory davis okay. How about you. I was gonna say i think allies more like i think it depends what you need at the end of your draft. I said allies more. Just because i think the upside is there but there's also a wide range of outcomes. If you're telling me like i need to. I need sixteen team league in our war room league. It's probably davis because who's more likely to be usable on a week to week basis. It's definitely corey davis. He's got a higher floor than i think. Allies you're more. I just think. And maybe it's a ten percent chance or fifteen percent chance. But i think it's within the range of outcomes that allies you're more has just monster year this year. I think but like. I think there's a there's a chance i just think that if you're elijah more i don't know he's a deep threat player right. I don't know that he's like ten. Or twelve touchdown guy. I think it's possible that coordinated competing with james credit who's also really good player for snaps in the slot. Yeah and i think like if. You're corey davis any i. I am excited about all the bus. I'm not diminishing. I believe that he's been as i. Just think that. If one of these guys has a thousand receiving yards and nine touchdowns or ten touchdowns league corey davis doing that. Because he's come close to doing it. In the past the touchdown thing is is very fair. By the way you mentioned denzel mims and you're talking about camp buzz. The camp buzz on danzon mims is the opposite direction easy. He's he's behind keelan coal by most reports so the jets the jets actually have like not necessarily top end de have decent depth that wide receiver..

"You waiting for? Get your car running right with gum out now with carbon clear performance enhancement for your car. All right, Mike Clay, let's look at my team really quickly. Second, if you don't mind, and what I'd love to do is I'd love to have you do you have it there on we do a Google doc. That Kyle, uh have together most weeks. I'd love for you to look at the team that I have assembled. Those are the order that I made those first five picks in And kind of break them apart and let me know in real time. Whether or not you think I'm a stupid idiot or whether you think I did Okay with my the first five picks of my draft. Uh, man, you just You're just setting me up to say nice things about you. It's not true. I do not. After I started one of them. I was picking one of three for the record. And so I I started. Patrick Mahomes went first. Like I said to you, Doc went second and the big thought was and this for me. I feel like the top two players in this in this game are Patrick Mahomes. And Travis Kelsey. So when Kelsey felt to me at three, I felt like I had to go that way. And I kind of locked in a drafting strategy, taking a tight end in the first and I'm fine with it. I think you can make the case for Kelsey. As I don't want to, say the first overall pick in normal formats 12 team leagues because Christian McCaffrey's hard to pick against, But after that, I mean, you could at least make the case you could. You certainly can. Because he has such an edge over the field. So I'm fine with that, especially in this format where you're getting bonus points for tight ends. It's a definitely a smart pick. And if I was picking early in the first round, I would have considered going that direction as well. I certainly would have gone that direction if he was available. So like that, Joe Burrow as your QB one coming back. And what was he off the board? What was he Oh, gosh, I got to tell you,.

"The phone with Mike Clay, ESPN NFL fantasy analyst. He's fantasy football rider. He appears on SportsCenter NFL. I've talked about fantasy football and The ramifications and projections about who's going to be really good. Who's going to be really bad? All a lot of not too much going on around the National Football League at this point, but something that came up over the last couple of days for those of you don't know and I didn't know this. There's a massive lawsuit. File against the National Football League by the city of ST Louis. And for obvious reasons, the Rams the ST Louis Rams, moved to L. A and some of the inner workings that happened during that the city. Took issue with whether it's a breach of I have no idea the specifics of the Contra of the Of the lawsuit and what the NFL is being accused of doing wrong. But As a judge in ST Louis or Yes, A judge over in ST Louis has Ruled that as a result of this litigation Um That Roger Goodell and five NFL owners would be Stan Kronke and owner of the Rams. Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys, Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots, Giants owner John Mara. And, of course, former Patriots paid former Panthers owner Jerry Richardson, who no longer owns the team. Those five guys and Roger Goodell all have to disclose financial statements to the court. Which is Interesting because even poor people don't want people to know what their money is doing. Rich people are the far into the spectrum of the last people. They want to know what's going on with their money, and now they're being ordered by the court to divulge their financial, um, their financials. Did not. The speculation is and this is from pro football talk, NBC's pro football talk website and they they're into this trial. This was ruled on by the court, and so these five guys are going to have to come up with financial statements to give to the court. These five owners and Roger Goodell, the commissioner over conversations and things and whatever Whatever the NFL is being accused of in this lawsuit. I do not know. Obviously, it has to do with the Rams relocation efforts. And when that happened, how it was discussed what was legal about what was illegal. Who knew what who. When did they know it? The whether this gets settled out of court or gets Goes to trial. Uh, is a big deal, but The league took a punch to the gut. Win this because they want to know is the reason they want to know what the financials are said. Listen, we gotta if we're going to punish These guys. How much money is it gonna take to punish them? Who are they going to feel? We're not going to find these guys. You know, $50 parking ticket. This is gonna hurt. So How much is going to take for each of them to hurt a little bit, I guess is the is what has been written in this report by pro football talk. That's why they want their financials. What do you think about all this is this is they say it's a massive lawsuit, and you can imagine the numbers that the city of ST Louis would be talking about when the NFL's involved What do you think is going to happen with this? Well, First of all, I think this is something that going to resonate with the average fan too much because it's the the cliche battle between the government and rich people. That just happens in the world that most of us don't exist in But it is, you know, like you talked about a black eye for the NFL or punch to the gut. Whatever you want to call it, Um, because they're being caught in a lie here. You know, One of the big parts of this lawsuit is that Stan Kronke purchased land in L. A with the intent on building a stadium While there was a press conference of state of the League Super Bowl Week press conference that Roger Goodell did in early 2014. After this land had been purchased where he stands up and says, I don't know why it was purchased. No one told me it was for a stadium. But it was revealed in this court document is why we're talking about this yesterday or in his Court proceeding that Roger Goodell very well knew exactly what was going on. He was told what was going on end. He told Stan Kronke. He would make sure no one else found out now in the grand scheme for someone who doesn't live in ST Louis. The fact that the NFL was planning to move to l A, which we all thought was going to happen for. Years and that executed a plan to move to L A and kept the city that was going to lose the team in the dark while it was happening. I mean, to be honest, that makes logical sense to me. But it's still the NFL being caught in a lie in the NFL commissioner being caught in a lie, and like you said, The consequences of that lie are going to be are going to start with a lot of rich people having to open up their books and kind of show what's underneath the mattresses and all that and not ideal situation for any of them. I'll just read one paragraph from the pro football talk, Uh, report and it says this. The reason for the conclusion has significance as well. The judge who made the ruling from the bench, which means The evidence pointing to this was clear. Concluded that clear and convincing proof exists to support a finding that those individuals operated in a fraudulent manner. As for the rest of the owners ST Louis has 10 days to present evidence supporting that they should be forced to surrender their information as well. That means the city of ST Louis needs to surrender their financial information as well. So.

"Happy Tuesday. Howard's off This week up until Friday, and you've got me and Brayton and an assortment of guests along the way. So happy Tuesday, Howard off for a couple days, he's celebrating the Mets, who are looking looking good. Celebrating life as a Mets fan. A I suppose, um, so we were from the best in the meantime, Like I said, already happy Tuesday, and good morning. The, uh the game last night did not go that far into overtime Braid, and I actually made a decision to stay up and watch the whole thing. As did I Was it because you thought you might want to see the cup. That and I figure I'd probably have to do something like post the story on the website tomorrow. You know this morning? Yeah, It's tough, though. Like any time a game is going to overtime, you have to make a decision. You don't know how long it's going to last. Look, I'll be honest if it made it to the first overtime intermission. I might have cashed out at that point and said, I'm not going to make it, but you know, it's Tampa, Montreal. You have a chance to see the cup. You have a chance to have a cup one on a power play, too, because Tampa started over time. With a lengthy power play, and Montreal kills it off, and Montreal gets the win relatively early in overtime to to extend the series. I'll I was probably watching to see the Cup that was probably watching to see if Tampa could Clinch back to back Stanley Cups. And now, um they get to go back home for Game five. Something the mayor of Tampa suggested was a good idea that they should let Montreal win the fourth game so they could win the careful what you wish for. That's all have to say, I know so I don't know. I mean, should they really be worried? They played fine. No. They could have won the game. They played fine, right? If if they do find a way to blow this series, I mean it be It'd be wild, and I don't feel like you should be blaming the mayor on that stands. I mean, it seems like yesterday with the way that Montreal was playing trying to be more physical. Trying to take out guys like Brayden point, Nikita Kucherov and some of their top line players like Montreal can't keep up that physical play for three more games they possibly can. They were really going all out to try and physically take them out of the game. The second, they go back to Tampa Bay in front of the Lightning crowd. I just to me. It just seems like that Montreal is going to quickly run out of gas even more than they already really have. I think they were just pretty much running on physical fumes yesterday, but by the time they go back to Tampa Bay for games five tomorrow I have a feeling that it's completely gonna run out for them. And you know their their their idea of playing more physical. Um, you know, if they play like that, you could say they wouldn't be able to keep it up. They got out shot. 52 33 shot attempts and high danger. Chances was 14 to 4 for the lightning. So you know, like Okay, your physical style. I mean, you kept the game close. But if you play like that a bunch my guess is if they get out chanced 14 to 4 on high danger. Chances three more times that they're going to have a lot of trouble winning that series. So one interesting thing was the Knicks. Suzuki play on the Josh Anderson Gle. So I was watching a pregame little segment with Mike Clay. Who does those for Mike Kelly. Sorry, my clay's NFL. Mike Kelly. NHL always do that. Um, that breaking down what Montreal decided to do, You know, you mentioned get a little more physical. Uh, they shuffled some lines. They put together that line of Suzuki Anderson and who's the Who's the other guy on that line? I'll Caulfield Caulfield. Yeah. They put that lying together with Caufield. That line had played together a grand total of like 30 seconds this year. Accidents. Then those three players had only been on the ice as a group during line changes, and it's Game four an elimination game. The coach Goes to that group and says, Like, all right, this is my new line. There. They sat Cut Kenny Emmy and play this group and Mike Kelly, breaking it down, was talking about how little experience they had together. How desperate times kind of call for desperate measures and sure enough That line puts in a goal after not playing together at any point this year. So you know, I made a point to watch that segment from Mike and remember it and think, all right. I want to see how well this line does. And hey, you know, I guess you could say it was a hunch. A good call, whatever it might be, But that line got to go on the board and you know, while they got Kind of steamrolled in the game. I guess. You know, at this point you could talk fancy analytics, which I do, and I appreciate their value all you want, but you know what? At the end of the day you've got to you've got to survive. You know, You don't get to hang a banner and say we had good numbers but lost the game. But, hey, the numbers were good. You know they had bad numbers, but they won the game. So I wonder if he sticks with it because that line like every line from Montreal kind of got beat up. But Caulfield keeps making a difference. You know, and Suzuki is very good, too. Like those two. Those two are pretty fun to watch it tweeted it out last night. If there's one thing one thing, the Vegas Golden Knights have gotten wrong in their entire existence as a franchise is trading Nick Suzuki granted It was to acquire Max Patch ready. However, they did have Cody Glass also in the organization at the same time, and they elected to keep glass over Suzuki and that decision right now I'm not looking so great. I mean, it could look better down the road, but right now it's just Doesn't look too good for yes. That Suzuki had never played for Vegas, right? No. Okay, right. He's our young prospect. At that point. He's a first round pick 13th overall. And they trade him with the patch, right E trade or how these Patrick Gotcha. So they trade Suzuki. That's 11 thing about Vegas. I bet they do that their entire existence. A team like Vegas decides. Well, I shouldn't say their entire existence. But They don't want to wait around. Hey, congratulations on being a prospect. Well, take a good player today. You know, they did that with a number of traits. Vegas went out and you know, in the expansion draft, they get a bunch of players. They make a bunch of side deals. They get some pics. They trade picks all the time. They're moving picks for players regularly and right for Suzuki 1/13 overall pick to be traded. That's why, as, um, you know, we're all waiting on the Jack Eichel trade whenever that happens. Vegas to me, makes sense that they might say, Oh, of course, we'll give you picks and players were not worried about that. Picks. Draft picks Prospects futures Fine You're offering us a player that will play right now, you know, health. Permitting at all. I think Vegas is a great candidate for that. Because, you know, they did it for who else Right? They went out and they got stoned. They got patch already. They sign these guys who extensions they they traded for Thomas Tatar the deadline and got a 1st 2nd and 3rd round Pick three pieces given up for Thomas Tatar. The deadline like It's just It's an aggressive organization. So you might be right that they rue the day they get. They get rid of Nick Suzuki. They did get a pretty good player in return. But, yeah, he's obviously really good. He's young. He's contributing 16 points in 21 games in these playoffs for Suzuki. At age 21. That's pretty good. That's pretty good. So Montreal lives to fight another day and forces Game five, which will be in Tampa. There's also going to be a hurricane, though, right? Isn't there whether to worry about potentially potentially, I think the tropical Storm Elsa or Whenever they're calling the storm. I think it's Elsa. But I think it might graze Tampa, but it doesn't seem like it's going to take, you know, make a direct hit with Tampa. So Maybe there's a chance that they'll still be able to play the game..
