"Yes. That's my. Keep going yeah. Okay. I'll keep going Justin Jefferson for the seahawks. Join me to repeat all. Yeah. I heard it. No. No. I'll give you the short version Mike Clay exclusive tweet Odell wide receiver one. person goes to play the seahawks this weekend, and here's a full disclosure re revelation right now. The note which Kyle does an incredible job of building nightly kyle is a the grinder of all grinders. He put it out and we have a responsibility. If we want to change something on the note, we've got to do it by a certain time. I failed to update my ranking on Justin Jefferson in time. So what you'll see right now is Jackson. Jefferson is at thirty, six, my client. Daniel. Both helmet twenty seven. Here's the error of my ways is that they play the seahawks and the seahawks could not stop me Dana Kyle and Mike and a four wide receiver set. So I, need to have Justin Jefferson higher my ranks by now you can explain to the people just how good of imagine this? It is very good matchup and also I don't know if you've noticed but Jefferson himself pretty good right in the past couple of weeks back to back under yard games Adam Phelan in Jefferson believe it or not are both top ten fantasy wide receivers over the past two weeks. They combined sixty four percent target share, which is just an absurdly high number Jefferson playing well, eighty percents catch rate despite a thirteen point nine average at that means he's getting downfield and still is highly efficient catching a lot high percentage of his passes. He's averaging seventeen point, four yards per target, which isn't even close to sustainable, and actually this is my. Only concern with him in this low volume offenses is target so far three three this playing time went up and it's nine and five I only one high target game something to keep in mind. But as you said, great matchup Seahawks, fantasy points, ladder receivers, most targets, receptions, yards, wide receivers right now, just wide receivers tight ends running backs nothing just wide receivers averaging twenty four catches for three hundred and thirty six yards per game against him. He'll see the. Shocker in this game, he's allowing the most fantasy points in coverage this season. So wow, he's a good player for them to maybe if he's a cornerstone player, no question a lot of guys we thought were good or allowing a of production this year it's it's unbelievable how some of these defenses are getting lit up by the way shutout, Haley Burns whose our One. Of our great post part of the great production staff we have here at the Oh six Oh annot who's adjusted my ranking at twenty nine accurately pass what I screwed up. But here's the problem here is that like you give me an inch and I might take an IRA so I will not do this again one time my bad I ended up. The next guy, he's an outline and then. No because. I want to. This is an important thing because you're going to say, are you an outlier on this next play we're talking about the answer is no Dj more if you've got thirty one, my wide receiver ranks, Mike Claes got him at twenty one. Got Him at twenty two. You know why I thought about this I've Got Jim Warren Timeout DJ Moore's and timeout for me, and here's what I'm trying to do I'm trying to fired DJ more? Up for. This weekend I'm trying to get him ready to go off against the Atlanta Falcons because the Falcons are terrible on defense, they have just been miserable throughout the first four weeks of the season. We saw last week no Davante Adams no allen lazard no problem for Aaron Rodgers they have been carbon sliced and diced, and they also lost Monte Casey. One of their starting safeties to an Achilles tear on Monday night, which is terrible newsroom. He's a really good player. So I want more to get it going and I have ranked thirty one. Amongst my wide receiver. So he's been a grand disappointment this season make no mistake about it. I'm certainly relative to where he was drafted. I'm having a hard time I wanna see it to believe it and maybe all maybe, I'll give him some slack by the end of the week. But do you believe firm and this can be the breakout week for him definitely and you laid out plenty of the reasons on the other side of the field obviously secre matchup against the Falcons they've been toasted by Seattle Dallas and even the Chicago wide receivers they were. Good against the packers against wide receivers on Monday night. But the packers running back and tight ends I love this stat twenty targets twenty catches two hundred and forty one yards, four touchdowns that was they didn't need their wide receivers in the game, the to injuries with lazard and Adams they just decided to throw him. But obviously, they struggled very much is secondary I. Believe I heard that was one of the second time a quarterback has gone one hundred percents in terms of. Running backs, wide receivers like minimum of seventeen targets. who was the other quarterback to do it? This is the turned the tables here on cal sloppy. I know we gotta keep moving here but Mike, you have fifteen seconds is the last quarterback to go one hundred percent on targets, two running backs and tight ends you. No Peyton Manning Cam Newton, you guys are. Making this you're thinking you're thinking way to. Joe FLACCO baby. Joe Flacco Chris Herndon Week as what you're saying telling you right now. But. Anyway. Just really quick nugget. I'm more zero touchdowns, but he's twelfth wide receiver and Targets Sixteenth yardage. He has basically the same target share last season but his area. Are Way up from last season. So I do think the volume is there along with Robbie Anderson both of those guys I think it'd be fantasy starters going forward alumnus from Robbie. Anderson he's been so far this year right wake up.

"He's a fourteenth among quarterbacks for me this week up for his true talent ranking but still not somebody you want to start in your shallow Espn Leagues Yeah He's outside my top ten as well. Interesting though if the home road splits, we'll see how sort of goes with this for the year he's always been better at the Superdome, but it'll be interesting with with no crowds basically this year or very reduced crowd it'll be interesting to sort of see I'm not sure it's fair to judge him on the. Road game this year with Michael Thomas. I just I. Don't know that we have enough knowledge about drew brees until you get a fully until we get more of a sample size with with Michael. Thomas, but I agree with your basic take here, which is that drew brees not a top ten guy despite the fact that they're playing the lines, which in theory is a pretty good match I'm going to be writing my love list and I love hate list later day Scott and Kenyan drake is on that list for me you like him this week as well. I really do. so He's playing against the Carolina Panthers, which is really the best match you can get for running back there atop four booster twenty percent booster of yards per carry for running backs in the number one booster of touchdowns per carry over a one hundred percent boost touchdowns really been the problem for drake so far this season, he's top ten among touches at the position just one rushing touchdown though in three games however, he does lead Mike Claes opportunity to just a touchdown metric among the running back. So seems like the most likely running back to score on the team in the panthers of allowed thirty one rushing touchdowns in their last thirteen games dating back to their week seven by last season. That's an average of two point four per game they've allowed at least two rushing touchdowns and ten of those thirteen games. So Drake at this point, not normally in my top twenty position he's twenty I in my true talent running back rankings jumps to seventeenth night expected gains about one point four projected PR points this week. By the way and not only I haven't seven this week in terms of my rankings and I will say that I believe he is a Great Bilo that I believe I'm with you and I, think the opportunity to get him in a trade is going to end on Sunday because there's probably people out there managers that are frustrated with him, but we expect them to go off against the Carolina. Panthers. So your chance to to buy low as it were on Kenyan drake ends on. Sunday. So get your trade offers in now. There's been a lot of debate in the fantasy football community about Austin equitor Yeah I had him as a top ten running back coming season. There were other people that thought he was a complete fade. There was definitely obviously some of that was quarterback related people thought tyrod lasted longer than he has so far this season, where are you on Austin actor and let's talk about this matchup with the buccaneers. I do still have eh cler in the back of my top ten. Formats in particular. He's night for me but drops a little bit to ten this week playing against the buccaneers. Razz. The Panthers are one of the best matchups running backs I. Think you could make an argument that Tampa is the worst they had the number one, TV way run defense last season it release you up all the time 'cause Jameis Winston tended to those interceptions giving his opponents, short fields in in opportunities for rushing touchdowns. But so far this season they're still fifth in the metric and they dock running back yards per carry by more than thirty percent and just to give you kind of context I know that big reception sky. But just look at Christian McCaffrey last three games against the buccaneers we to last year thirty, seven rushing and sixteen receiving yards week six, last year thirty, one rushing twenty, six receiving yards in week two, this year, Fifty, nine and twenty nine before the injury. So I think it's a situation where even though may still catch some passes and we project him for four point four this week it's it's not enough to make him a great play this week in the matchup where he may not get the rushing yards that you'd expect from him. Typically worth noting buccaneers have allowed the third most running back receptions this season so we'll see how that. Plays out I'm a little bit more bullish on him than you. I'm running back eight for the week. We'll see how that plays out. Let's go to Washington. Now you know I gotTa Washington question in here. Scott so. Let's talk about Terry maclaurin who Might be my favorite player on the team right now at least on the offensive side of the ball here. He's going to face a really tough defense. He's gotten some bad quarterback play, but the volume has been there for maclaurin where're you on him this week? S. True. McLaren. Is At this point normally top ten wider steeper for NPR but this week does drop outside of my top twenty. He's playing the ravens and I know that everybody watch Monday night football is probably a little bit unafraid. I guess facing them after the chiefs just like ran amok on them. But typically, the Ravens are a very difficult matchup for in particular number one receivers their top ten in reducing yards per care yards per target and completion percentage to the position. In while the chiefs have so many weapons that they can kind of spread the workout in the passing game when you have one focal target like the Washington football team does Marlin Humphrey, cornerback is probably going to be the man on infamous to the day. He averaged just five point zero yards per target allowed last season, fifth-lowest of eighty nine qualified cornerbacks and just for context defensive player of the year Stefan Gilmore, allowed six point, four yards per target. So Humphrey is that good. Sounds. I well listen you're not going to hear me say anything bad about Moreland home for that. That is that is for sure just WANNA skip ahead real quickly I know we're running short on time here. Let's move over to tighten now no Dallas Goddard in this game for the Philadelphia Eagles Zachert going to San Francisco normally a tough defense they've had some injuries on the defensive side of the Ball Carson Wentz is struggling as well. Scott. Where you on Zach ertz This Week Yes the forty niners are difficult matchup in particular for tight ends. Last season, they were the number two team in Devi away allow the tight ends. Being football outsiders, efficiency, metric names, this season they're far and away I. so even with the injuries that hasn't really been a factor so far this season so I think this is probably going to be a tough match-up birds even with a potential boost, the target share. So this year they've only really faced an Ingram top-flight tied into position, but they limited him to three catches toward the end of last. Year. They Limited Austin Hooper to three jared cook to two and Mark Andrews to three catches. So even though you would expect urge to lead the team in targets and we project them to do. So I think it's a situation where his is ranking has docked a little bit because of the matchup. So he falls from second position for me to fourth this week losing about one point two projected PR points. But still somebody that I think needs to be in fantasy lineups I don't know that you're gonNA have a better option but understand that maybe. Maybe he's not worth paying up to pay for the price Scott, we can find your work on football outsiders, dot com, and of course, you also contribute to ESPN, but if somebody wants to follow you on social work and they find you. "On one hamstring and the in week one no Godwin last week right and so you know I just there's too many unknowns for me to say like Yep Leonard for a week in which there are. No bye weeks is obviously a no-brainer starter is just there's too many question marks for me yet, which is why I have as a flex play and not a top twenty guy. This week wouldn't surprise me if we all end up where Daniel is in the next two to three weeks but for now the patients between Matthew and let's talk about Jerick McKinnon. But before we do that, I want to ask you a question that I think is actually intuitive but. I don't know that people are really talking about enough right now spying Jerick McKinnon two years ago, sign with the forty niners for four years and thirty two dollars. Unfortunately he suffered a major knee injury at the end of training camp. He came back last year, and then that knee issue flared up again, he missed back to back seasons. This is a player who's knee I don't know what the state of it is, but I can't imagine he will ever have quite the same health in his knee that he did before those injuries he's now back and they might need him to play a decent role on Sunday but can you really give the? Football. Twenty Times Three weeks into a season in which Jerick McKinnon has been off the football field for twenty four months is it is it? Is it weird that I'm sort of cautious on the idea of him getting more than let's say like eight to twelve touches. I it's not weird at all. You're bringing up excellent points and I don't think they would have scripted it this way. But I, think out of necessity he may be pushed to a little bit more work. Obviously, you're operating within the context of the teams concerns about the field and also what they saw last week. Now I think that you're still going to see Jeff Wilson get work jerk in probably still. have. Potentially a touchdown away from Jerkin and that goes up and but I think that jerk McKinnon this is based on the fact that what he's done so far he's responded really well, he's look good. He hasn't had any issues with the knee and you know who knows at what point last season he might have been able to. You know once they made the decision for him to go out for the year. Done, you know if if you had the luxury of doing something like what they're able to do, this year could come back partway through the season it might have been an option. So I think it's hard to know obviously, they're watching it very carefully and you're right. They probably would not have scripted it that he suddenly would carry the majority of the work but I don't think they're going to do anything rash and if he feels good, they'll probably allow them to work more than. They would've anticipated I. Hope I'm wrong because I like to play a lot and think stories and inspiring one right now I've just got him running back twenty, nine years twenty-three each of you. So that's why I'm lower than you guys. I'm just mindful the possibility that he might get like I said twelve or so touches as opposed to eighteen or so touches that being said he is an excellent pass catcher and we saw last week he's got some juice. So you're more confident. That's all. It's not only more confident, but it's also not only necessity here but also the match up here I mean the giants allow David Montgomery and Benny Snell neither guy that has lit up the NFL so far this year so far in their careers, right but they montgomery and many snow combined for thirty five carries one, hundred, ninety, five, yards, five point, six yards per carry so far their running game has a lot to be desired here and given the the dearth of pass catchers and obviously even viable running backs for the forty niners I do think that even if it's only. Closer to twelve to fifteen and seventeen twenty touches I think they'll be high leveraged spots I think they will be used and in in a smart way here. My expectation is that McKinnon has a very nice day. Again, I am at twenty three. So I'm not going crazy here because I agree with you I don't think they're going to use them between the tackles prices Jeff Wilson Junior. And we'll see what this offense looks like if Garoppolo can't go. But like the match up a lot and a PR scoring, which is what we do rankings for. He should have a pretty good day tougher some pass catcher rankings and generation rising brought to you by EA Sports Nfl Madden Twenty one I player. We're GONNA discuss Calvin Ridley we all have inside our top ten you and Daniel both have inside your top five interesting question posed during our live remote show last night, which was if you got Calvin Ridley, would you consider trading him right now with the thought process being his values at its apex? Sure or would you would you say you know what? I'm here I believe is GonNa stay as it is and I would rather have a clear-cut wide receiver one for the next fourteen weeks. Any player is available trade. The correct answers is that any would you consider trading player? The answer is yes threats they've always the always has to be yes. Okay. The answer always has to be yes. It just depends on what you're offering. that. If the question is essence, right is like it do you think his value goes higher than it is now or could it? It can't go higher he's the number one wide receiver and fantasy by twenty points, right? Okay. So so my answer here is that if somebody is offering me If somebody is offering me what devante atoms tyreek Hill Michael Thomas de'andre. was worth at the beginning of the season. One of those type guys then yes. I do the deal. So let me rephrase the question because I think what you're saying I think we all understand that and get that if you had calvin really on your roster and he's twenty points clear if every other wide receiver through two weeks. Would you proactively start to make offers to other players with Calvin Ridley I would not. I don't see it going to get because I think what you need a value him do I think he finishes the year as the number one wide receiver and fantasy by twenty points I do not. Okay. That's an instinct I understand. Yeah. So I do not. So I do think yes his value comes down slightly so to speak but I, do think he will well outperformance ADP whatever cost you to acquire. Him On draft day he's going to grossly outperform and significant way. So to me his value is as a top five wide receiver and fantasy, and if somebody's willing to pay that price, I'm in Fort like other than that. No enjoy the ride and congratulations Kenny golly it's expected to make his return this week but suffice, do you have any concern you saying? No, I'm just not excited about it. Okay Gotcha. Got Got Patrick Peterson shadow coming back for sweet often doesn't look great. I didn't mean to take it from to. Do. You have any concerns about him playing this week senior. Well, he always did you guys have it's like a broken record right? Until the guy comes back and gets through game without a setback you're never really fully confident but you take some clues wherever you can and the fact that last week Matt Patricia said he was really close even before Sunday's game. There were hints that they thought he was very close and I think they did the smart thing by keeping him. Through week to let's see what the practice report show. But if he's back in, does this full practice every day or even starts limited Wednesday moves up to full the next couple of days and I feel really good about I've got him on a team I would be planning on starting. Am You have a comparison in Mile Sanders? Who again they held out because they were being cautious and then that week practice fully winning and was able to go the full length game without any setbacks so it's not like this is going down to the wire. This is something we're optimistic about a week ago. Okay. move him slightly my rankings after hearings to find you give him a clean bill of health. We sure Patrick Peterson still thing just GonNa ask you that I would love to see Mike Claes wide receiver cornerback matchup report is now up I think Petersen's a very good player but he I think even the there's evidence last year right I mean I mean Terry maclaurin like an offense can't pass Terry maclaurin. Let them up last week. Yeah. He here down season last year did Patrick Peter be the first person to tell you that it may not be quite daunting match but once was and I think this is probably just a matter of how confident you are in Kenan Golladay finishing the game not starting but finishing..

"Was saying to Michael kissed on episode Jan radio episodes, five earlier this week, the I, I like what I've seen out of Jordan Howard, so far and it's only not as it's not doesn't mean. Everything. But again, he's not chopped liver. I don't think it's simple as you traded for mile Sanders and sorry traded for Jordan Howard an like an by the way. Remember how much hype there was when they did that the people were thrilled because at that point deals hadn't addressed the running back dishes at all? So oh, we got Jordan Howard. He's going to be this big difference maker, and I was kinda like trying to temperatures petitions for him. And all of a sudden the draft mile Sanders in it's like Jordan Howard. Who like he's out the door. So that's kinda funny. How that's worked. And again, not even a slight against mile Sanders. I just think it's the reality of the eagles running back position the rotation. They use the fact that Sanders like he has to prove himself. You know, he's not he's not approval commodity by any means. Like he is upside for sure, but he needs to prove that he can fix this link issues that he had a Penn State. He needs to prove that he can be better in pass protection. So it's just kind of say it's restless responsible, because sports, who cares but you know, it's a little. It's a little whatever you wanna call premature. I guess, to throw out those big numbers in the sumit's gonna get there. Again. The ceiling is there to me, but I'm not gonna like bet on that as a sure thing. Yeah. Mike Claes fantasy football guy and he's an eagle sky McLean. Eagles fan. So I mean he's he does think maybe it's a little bit of green, you, you mentioned before midnight, green colored glasses here. But if mile Sanders is getting seven hundred thirty three yards rushing. He's probably the team's leading rusher given this rotation. So how many yards are we are we then predicting for Jordan Howard? You know, I don't think there's any way mile Sanders out Russia's Jordan Howard. And if you're telling me, both these guys that Jordan's gonna get seven hundred fifty yards. Rushing and miles going. If you're telling me that combine these guys are gonna rush over thirteen hundred fourteen hundred yards. I'm just not buying that on an run heavy team in the past. And look, we've talked about the fact that good football teams. Good offenses need to be able to run the ball. There's no doubt about. That. And I think Jeffrey Laurie in an interview that he did was shell Capote owes a friend of the podcast. Yeah, he was talking about the, the idea of being a run. Heavy team really just as stupid anymore. But that doesn't mean that you don't run try to run the ball affectively. And that's why they went out and got Jordan Howard. That's why they drafted mile Sanders. They obviously know that having good running backs is important in two thousand seventeen we we saw a lot of Carson Wentz and all of the great plays that he did. But I've mentioned this over and over and over again, people forget, how many big running plays this team had in two thousand seventeen how when there were some games when the eagles were just a grinded out running team. There were a number of games in two thousand seventeen where the passing game just wasn't firing on all cylinders and they relied on the running game you have to be able to do that, sometimes, but that doesn't mean like you said, this is going to be a type of team where you have a, you have fourteen fifteen hundred yards combined from your your to leading rushers. That's just not how this is all going to go down. So if you're a fantasy full. Football player and you're drafting mile Sanders based on seven hundred thirty three yards rushing and three hundred yards receiving, you're going to be woefully disappointed because I don't think we're getting anywhere there. Let's let's wait until we get into the into the mailbag to kind of talk about more specific numbers because we have someone who wants to ask us a question about Sanders and Corey Clemenza we'll get to that coming up here in just a few minutes..

"Let's start with you your trade scenario. Jags trade running back Leonard for net to the eagles for quarterback. Nick foles. To problem solve how about that for net. Obviously if the Jaguars at the end of the season sounded like they were done with him. You know, talk talk about voiding his guaranteed money as a result of his suspension. They didn't like, you know, they kinda in and out of the lineup. So yeah, I mean if they're done with him. He's got a couple of years left on his working deal. The eagles are done with holes. They're not gonna pay him what he wants. And they're going to go back to Carson Wentz. They need a running back. He'd be like their Garrett want from a couple years ago. Only only better. I don't know. I don't think I don't know if it can happen. But I like it. I mean, I think it would solve both teams problem. Sure makes sense next up. Had this is for you. Teddy fantasy writer Mike Claes trade prediction dolphins trade wide receiver. Devante parker. The colts for quarterback Jacoby present. You think this makes sense? Well, it it does for the Miami Dolphins. Because I mean, they need a quarterback Ryan tannehill. Here comes to Coimbra sat and he's the type of guy that no his teammates love him. He's a hard worker. He can get things done as you're trying to develop a system and also also on defense also. But I'd be careful. I don't like this deal because the quality that Jacoby precip provides as a backup quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. I just know he's valued in that locker room and getting rid of that piece all of a sudden you have Andrew luck. What happens if it's a minor injury in Andrew has to miss one or two games? I think Jacoby that type of player that can go in there. You can go one in one get lucky, and maybe when two games that's a very valuable piece to get rid of GM's talk about that the backup quarterback is not the fifty third guy on the roster or even close it's a very valuable position. Because as you mentioned, you never ever know what's going to happen to your quarterback young quarterback with starting experience. Here's what Chris Ballard said the general manager at least publicly it would take somebody doing something. That would absolutely blow me away. So it does sound likely. He's gonna be doing. No offense. Devante. But I don't think at this point. That would do it became, Dan. Here's the next one field Yates, his trade prediction that helps both teams bills trade running back Leshan McCoy to the eagles for twenty nine thousand nine fifth round pick. What do you think about assuming for net full straight falls apart? You know, this would be a good fall back. No. I mean look at McCoy. Obviously a strong connection there started his career in Philly didn't want to leave got traded when chip Kelly was running the show there. So yeah, it would make some sense. The eagles are going to be looking for a running back that can kind of be the guy in that offense. And McCoy has a history of that. What's he got left at his age? It feels like it's been four or five years speculating that la- Shawn McCoy is almost done and and last year, obviously issues, but there are a lot of issues in buffalo periods. So this would be a guy that I mean, the fans would probably love to see him back. I think that'd be a nice reunion. Yeah. I mean, Shawn McCoy can still help a team. I mean, I don't I don't know. I don't think he's the every down running back that he is anymore. But you know, this is a guy where you get a good offensive line in front. Them. He can still have production. Final trade prediction for you teddy. This is from national writer Kevin Seaford dolphins trade quarterback xavien Howard to the raiders for the number twenty four overall draft pick. What do you think you're going to get it twenty four?.

"And if you wanna compare to other guys at the position, you talked about position scarcity record my guy beat cancer e buying now beat cancer. He was laying. While he had broken ribs, saying guy, be cancer. Horrible person. Yvonne was tightened for and he was thirty six and a half points behind George Kittle and Colorado we talked with the one game. It was wonder he finished height and seven on the air. He was over a hundred and six points behind. Can kill cancer was good. He didn't be cancer. But he was good. Let me make the case for Patrick Mahomes. My vote in this Kate, and I'm going to not empty out the volt of Patrick Mahomes. Goodness because he might be nominated for some of our final wars. Yeah. Serves of players that appeared on championship winning teams this season. Only one player Christian McCaffrey was on a higher percentage of those championship teams than Patrick bump. So you talked about, you know, the positional value is different. It Patrick Mahomes was just that much better in the rest of the quarterbacks in fantasy football this year. Thirty five point five percent of leagues with the champion had Patrick Mahomes as his or her starting quarterback. He was great every single week not a single dud from Patrick Mahomes all season and more often than not he was taking Mike Claes projections and doubling them. The guy was an absolute freak. He was a behemoth this year my pick for best value clearly Patrick Mahomes. But Matthew it is now your turn. Drummer, please. Well, I will just say what's amazing about all these players is that they've all as we look into rankings for twenty nineteen are all the top of their position. So James Connors vaulted into being a top ten running back. George kills obviously top the right side and Mahomes is going to be the number one quarterback drafted next year. So it's unbelievable all three players had an amazing season. But the oh six Oni OPEC's Owoh hair. Six one only. For best value goes to envelope. Please Patrick Mahomes. These guys this season. You're not gonna get the best value for many more. Because now they're gonna cost we move forward to breakout player of the year, and this is the player whose production exceeded expectations and not previously emerged as a reliable. See that in this case, Patrick Bohm's was one number one. He finishes quarterback one with writer in seventeen point one, total points number two in terms of nominees is James Connor. He was Rb six with two hundred eighty total points and Tyler Boyd finished as wide receiver seventeen with two hundred and twenty one points. Aircar bill's not here right now. But he made the case for James Connor to probably goes along the lines Matthew what you just said for him in terms of best value. He was awesome. And a somewhat unlikely source of awesomeness because of all the Levy on bell noise that we thought could lead to eventually showing up at the beginning of the season. I think break I mean here would be it's not who I voted for. But I think my guess is that Eric's argument for James Connor for breakout player of the year would be that. There was so much talk about lady on Bell's contract and franchise, and he'd been franchise by there was thought that like, hey, maybe even the Steelers don't think Jane, the reason they're willing to pay fourteen million dollars to leave on bell. The reason they franchise him is because they don't necessarily know that James Connor can match his production. And so I think there was a thought in terms of Patrick Mahomes that being the lead quarterback in an Andy Reid offense and the gotten rid of Alex Smith after very productive year that we thought they would be good things. He was asleep or for many people coming. This including myself. So maybe that's in terms of breakout. No one expected James Connor to do what he did. And so I think that would be the argument maybe that Eric would make for James Connors that he truly I mean in many ways if you look at the stats actually exceeded lady on bell and hurt lady on bells free agency case we go because he performed so..

"I think five grand would get me that buffalo drive for me. It's only a drive and true. It'd be cool to I I would wanna tailgate with those mafia. I think that is an experience that something pretty cool free game. Yeah. Bills have an awesome fan base for sure. And I think that they're about to be rewarded for their loyalty. I think the bills are about to turn the corner for me. It's like I would love to go Monday night game for me is just missing all the other games. Like in the opportunities financial opportunities. That would be my biggest element of reluctant if you will. I could see that. I can remember that in college. When when West Virginia had some crap opponent. I'm one of those noon games. Be like, I think I'd rather just watch all the games I bet on and sit foam, oh, which still got foam of these days. Mr. director should be interesting with a ten K bet on Jacksonville, minus seven minus one ten that's the big lots of all out there. So we will continue to match that. And who knows what can happen. A few more plays between now and kick off on Sunday. I stood earlier in the show that I probably wouldn't watch much of that Redskins Jaguars game. But I stand corrected. Well, this thing over by halftime. So you'll be okay. I'll certainly all of my eyes on the skins on Sunday morning and look for another play from me later today. All right. Good luck with that with Mr. director and feel better man, feel better. We appreciate you playing her today. Yeah. I'm gonna go recipe golden pipes guys. And I'll talk to you next. All right. "I'm trying to make a point so Atlanta's five and a half. So you're telling me click Kansas City's only three points better on a neutral than the falcons or their last week member. I think this is an inflated number is what I think I think there's a lot of value in Cleveland, plus five and a half. But do we really wanna go down that road again, axed income tax income on Cleveland? We wanna do that we really want to aren't there. You're in this this part of the calendar. Our according to on November eighth you've got hockey NBA, college basketball, college football, all kinds of soccer and fighting to choose from do you really want to bet on the Cleveland Browns duck? No, no, you do not. So you I interrupted you were saying that there is what is your most liability right now. It's jacksonville. We had a guy bed Jacksonville, plus three and a half for sixty to win sixty thousand and that's our biggest liability taking a lot of money on Tampa Bay Buccaneers to. Yep. Typically, a three point favorite right now at the super book over the banged up. Washington redskins. There's gonna be a lot of money on the bucks in that game. Redskins looked so bad last week. And then certainly you're gonna have the usual suspects. We're gonna have a lot of liability onto England. They're six and a half point favorite on the road. And we're gonna have a tunnel ability on the Packers they're nine and a half point favorite at home against Miami. That games in the afternoon probably be the most heavily bet game. And that after noon session, I would think bit of a quarterback mismatch Brock Osweiler Aaron Rodgers. It's a somewhat of Eminem there between those two bit of. That just a little bit just a little bit that line. That's an interesting line. It's nine and a half for the home. A lot of points. Does all Seabrook. Oss wiler and go oh God. What was I thinking? Yeah. That could be get get right game for the Packers. About a very tough schedule. I know we've talked about it a few times, but they've really the last two weeks especially talking about going to LA and then going across the country at New England on Sunday night football. It's brutal. Brutal two week stretch. It's interesting. You took that big bet on Jacksonville. Mike Claes coming up later on the podcast does projections for everything like matchups obviously the props that we talk about. But also he thinks the colts should be favored by like touchdown in that game Lisa's projections. Whether that should be the case by the house, that's all different story. But a lot of despair the colts in that game. I so I I just I feel like the colts our team it's getting it together. I really like Frank Reich. I think he was a really good higher by Indianapolis. And as they get healthier. I think I think that they can potentially get back into the AFC south race. But like I said earlier they need the Texans to lose some of these coin flip games. How many fifty fifty games can Texas win a row? Yeah. No. I. We'll look very fortunate the other way to look at it would be there making them coin flip games where they really should be winning. Right. Certainly Shawn Watson they have Hopkins. Yeah. I mean, what are they doing these nail biters and some of these games? Well, I'm gonna pin that on Bill. O'brien Bill, Brian is here for healthy hair. Brown a lump careful. All right. I mean, we can skew. Let's get right over that. But I think Bill O'Brien is fortunate to be six three how about that. How about this quarterback match up? What happens to the point spread with Sam darnold out? Yeah. It went from seven jets seven jet six and a half. I could make a case Josh mccown is better than Sam darnold. That'd be easy case to make Sam Donaldson turnover machine. Now there have been some reports that Josh Allen is questionable to play on Sunday. I definitely think Josh Allen despite his struggles as a huge upgrade from Nathan Peterman. Yeah. I like the bills in this game. I think it's too many problems. The jets are confident are competent. I wish it was buffalo getting more points at a better team. Like, maybe Cincinnati or something that's an ugly game. I mean, I don't know that I don't I don't have a whole lot to say about that game..

"Is this chargers defense that may not be the old school legion of booms whereas going, but it's an excellent secondary in Los Angeles. It is you You know. know? Sort of similar to what I talked about with Taiwa Williams in terms of sort of a fishy here. Okay. So over the last four weeks three games, of course, there was a buy in their Russell Wilson is fourth in the NFL touchdown passes. He has nine touchdowns in lesser games. He's thirty second in pass attempts. I mean like he's literally last in the NFL impassively during that time. I mean, it's one of the run heaviest teams here. So you're really banking on officiency here your banking on the touchdowns with Russell Wilson because you're not getting running from him anymore. And you're not getting volume you're not getting three hundred and fifty yards passing. And so and to your point it is a very good defense for the chargers have had two weeks prepare for this game here. I've Wilson just outside my top ten. He's playing great football. I just I he's one of the reasons why he's being able to be so officiant is because he's playing so well, and you know, obviously, you've got Baldwin there. But Tyler lock it's a really nice here in the emergence of David Moore. Who again, we've talked about like I love and dynasty like they really like him. In seattle. So they think they have something with him. And and so, yeah, I mean, I haven't just outside my top ten I think it's hard to expect him to be like, you know, Russell Wilson all capital letters. But I also think he's playing so well, you may not have better options. Like, if I had I don't know what Michael Mike Claes projections are for this. But off the top of my head to forty and two touchdowns would be sort of what I would project for Russell Wilson to forty and two touchdowns. There you go there from. That's sounds about. Right. Yeah. So it's a good game on his great game. Doug, Baldwin is no longer hurt. But he is just not produced of late. If you had the choice between him and Tyler Lockett, like do prefer. Would you prefer tire lock at Doug Baldwin in this matchup because the number suggests is pretty close. No. I think I have I have Doug Baldwin ranked a little bit higher than Tyler Lockett just by a few spots here blocking. It's certainly been much much more much. More productive thirsty. Kyle Mike Claes projection on Russell. Elson two hundred and fourteen passing yards and two touchdowns. So you can just pretend like you're missed a two hundred fourteen forty fourteen whatever I'm a lot more optimistic. My Claes a hater, what do you want from me? I'm a little more optimistic than my clay. Now, you go, but not bad. All right. So he's got all these numbers, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, good. I just you know, I'd pull that out of my head. Okay. Yeah. Leave it there. So my concern. It's Casey Hayward that you know. And so it just depends on sort of we've seen lock it doesn't do some rats out of the slot. We've seen Doug Baldwin do it as well my expectations that you see more Baldwin out of the slot in this one than you do lock it. I think you see lock it a little bit more outside. So I think you'll see a little bit more of Casey Hayward who's been nothing short of terrific this the Seahawks actually favored in this game. Because they're playing at home. I've got the chargers though, one and a half point dog. Didn't they win this game? How about used to you? This week. I'm really nervous I feel differently than Gordon doesn't play. And because it's Seattle. I'm gonna go with Seattle. All right. Daniel hayat. I'm taking the chargers. There you go. Matthew, less one for you. Philip rivers. Give me some give me some Philip rivers. Yeah. I'm taking the chargers bolt up. Go chargers. Go here's why that there was no more of that. No. But then Daniel brought of the hamstring joke again. So it it is what it is. Right. That was the deal that we made. Did make that deal. It's been awhile since I brought up the hamstring joke. But you, but you did pass that Joe did I don't think we ever agreed to that. No. I don't I don't even know..

"I think he's right there with like Christian McCaffrey territory because I mean, he also had a career high in carries in this PASCAL because they needed to use him in that capacity. And we know he's delivered as I think I said this on this on this show yesterday, not. I think it's David Johnson light as long as Sony Michelle is out. I think he's David Johnson light who obviously caught whatever it was one hundred balls or whatever. In that twenty sixteen season. I think he's David Johnson light where he coaches a ton of balls, but also scoring about two touchdowns. They're not scared to give it to him in goal to go situations. And I think they'll probably trust him more than Barner if it's the two of those guys. And so I think I ranked James white like v this week. Had eighty catches eighty catches twenty sixteen. He had over a hundred targets in in two thousand sixteen eighty catches you don't wanna per game basis. I, I think that's what James white is just slightly lower. I compared him to Christian McCaffrey 2017 Christian McCaffrey touchdowns but seem usage. You know, you're kinda limited carries to maybe a hundred season at the most. I'm usually below that, but a larger pace this season because of injuries around him. But the target usages, what he's at twenty two percent target share this season. That's a massive number, and it's great often. So no question. He's in Rb one right now, especially when you think about buffalo on Monday night on a run defense, that's really struggled. We just saw Marlin MAC run all over the entire colts offense. And so in a game in which we'd expect and Derek Anderson playing, you could certainly see a scenario in which the patriots get big there Anderson struggles and all of a sudden the patriots and Bill Belichick say, let's give Kenyan Bonner some run. Let's get him out there and get him some practice in that kind of stuff. Number one is to, you know, sort of protect James white, but also just to get him some reps in him, get him on the team. It's ends up thirty two carries right. We've seen that before, right? Who was who am I think Jonas, Greg, Jonas, great, right. Can be game. It's very possible couple of quick hitting quarterback updates. Bortles remains the Jaguars starter Jag out is there? Yeah. So things are back as they always are, though I do believe I saw Mike Claes quarterback wide receiver. No, it was a your. Your fantasy sleeper of the week, or you're off the radar? Pick in the inside around table was keeling coal for you? This hour? Yeah, chemo calling Dante Moncrieff facing the eagles. Right. I'm gonna pick on my eagles permit I in London because they just get teams go into those games and they're just like force, feed the ball against those corners. They cannot stop anything. And that continues to work each and every week we see that happen. So that's gonna be Jacksonville, not a by part of the quarterback. It's the Cornerbacks that has Mike his ears up on that matchup and Brock Tober lives for one more week. Again, not as a prize here. Ryan tannehill is out, but I'm not sure he's going to be thrown into because Kenny stills, he's out for the game. Albert Wilson, Mike, go to injured reserve. Danny amendola. And I suppose devante Parker would in theory be the top to pass catchers for this dolphins office on Thursday night. Yeah, I'm in Dallas. Dole has.

"All capital letters launch go to wrote a pass daily dot com and start getting into the somebody. Absolutely. It is. It's always a great Sunday activity Daniel time. Now I some ZipRecruiter fan of the weeks emissions. Yeah, you bet. Here we go. I won the question reminder via choose one member of the six. Oh, in order to be your tag team partner in a wrestling match, who would you choose the wrestling name? Be? First one says, I would definitely pick Daniel not only because he looks apartment because lions fans have that deep, deep, sadness, and rage in the bowels of their psyche, and he could call on that desperate nothing to lose the Dopp of Detroit. PS theory also works for not cool kief, but he doesn't seem to have any closet rage to call upon. That's true. Non Keith is the most stable. Nicest low though, if you ever seen Keith when he's like refereeing or he's playing in like one of his league sport, there's a competitor, he's better. You might be able to extract that one game with key sometime. What else do you Daniel? That one came from Tyler Henderson by the way to start Tyler. Right. All right. But I. I like the pit of sadness or whatever it is you have. So this one says. I would choose Mike clay, aka the Klay q. later tag team finishing move is the projection connection through the opponent off the top ropes and upon their return. I lift the opponent up into the air and the Klay Kya later then leaps into the air to performing neck breaker like the three d. I don't know who three years that's a wrestler solo, finishing move would be diamond elevators too. Solo finishing mood the number cruncher which would be tombstone piledriver on Mike Claes algorithm filled computer. My goodness from a run Kanji IRA. Okay. Not bad, right? They're not very descriptive, right? Yeah, very descriptive. All right. This one comes from Austin Riley. I would choose Matthew based solely on the idea that Matthew's dad body render him nearly a mobile in the ring, leaving him as a human punching bag for the other team to waste all their energy on. While I finally get tagged in spry full of pep, I will be able to evade all of the opponents and defeat them do their exhaustion. And his wrestling name of course, would be the Big Ben. Yay. I wait for that line delivery headband. Good, good. All right. This next one is from Evan Nogi the question obviously. So same, the wrestling partner, if of course, Stephania bell would be my pick tag team wrestling partner or what better? What would be better than the six os rose between two thorns taking a, he'll turn intimate knowledge of the human body would allow us to inflict maximum damage on our foes and our signature move. The bell ringer, involve both a groin and a finger tweak when she's really backed into a corner. We'd employ the cone, the perfect hamstring based move that would leave our opponents, begging for a recall hauling ourselves. The ding dongs. We take foes from far and wide from Farmington to Bristol, San Francisco, to Princeton from Miami to Kansas. I fan. It was not bad. That's not bad, either ding Dong. All right. We got three more between two thorns reference. Patrick making, he'll turn if I had to pick a member of the tag team partner, it would have to be Matthew because I would need someone with a girthy or stature to balance my small but cut physique. Our wrestling names would naturally be the hustle. Hamster shadow to the Sono and the kills berry Doboy. Hustle. Hamster in this. Yeah, hustle killed that. Patrick. This comes from Ethan Risley's. I would have to choose Daniel. It'd be my tag partner, secret squirrel, Daniel Dopp, and Ethan the grizzly Ridgely fighting in the main event together as the untameable animal brothers, we would be the perfect team, but not because not only do we have matching beards, but we both already have animal themed nicknames that right into the wrestling world, and we should have love a band that no one has ever heard of. We would destroy not only destroy our opponents, but we would take the WWE tag team championship. And so secret squirrel get ready because we need to practice our signature move mauled by a squirrel that is from Ethan the grizzlies bald by a squirrel. And this last one is from Robert Anthony..

"Slash f, f, f moving along to the fighting fits magic Buchan ears and the Chicago Bears. We do not know who is starting this game at quarterback for the bucks. And as a matter of fact, we may not know until early Sunday morning, whoever it is would either of you feel comfortable Matthew. Let's start with you. Would you feel comfortable trying Fitzpatrick out there against this bears defense? No. Now it's really interesting, right? I mean so I could be dead wrong on this. Sit here and look at Mike Claes got on wrong wrong. Top ten play. I don't know where to find you lands on this one. I have MS AAC, eight hate this week, I, and so my concern on, yeah, I mean, I get it. He is the number one player in fantasy football. He is setting all sorts of records. He is red hot for me. I think we saw on Monday night in Tampa Bay. What happens when you get a little bit of pressure on Ryan Fitzpatrick and just and so in not all of it's his fault. Like there was some blown assignments and Evans quit on the route on the second interception but in totality when you get pressure on Ryan Fitzpatrick. Yeah. I mean, good things happen for the defense. He turns the ball over. He struggled to get sack. Well, since the start of last season. The bears, the bears defense is the highest percentage in the NFL this year they lead the NFL in sachse spy letting less often than any other defense and football season, but their basic think about that though. Think about what that means. They're basically they lead the NFL and sacks and they're doing it with four guys. I mean, they're, they're dropping seven back into coverage and they're not really blitzing all that much and they're still getting to the quarterback in a big way. A lot of that obviously has to do with the addition to clear MAC since the start of last year they've allowed the fourth fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, they they don't give a ton of touchdown passes at home. I am. I'm out on Ryan Fitzpatrick this week. I wanna get bored back because I've got him a ten. You've got him at twenty one, but the difference I say Ryan Fitzpatrick will be a top fifteen quarterback this weekend. Sure. I say Ryan Fitzpatrick will not be a top fifteen. Fantasy quarterback this week. Put a little the four. Yeah, I rank in thirteen seinfield side obvious caveat. If he doesn't play the board bed goes into. Board bed heaven. This is this is true. I should say congratulations to you. Brandin cooks, Robert woods had himself the hell battle last night, but I believe Brandin cooks, came out like two or three points better than Robert woods. Last night. That is correct, and I got a lot of messages saying, wow, it's too bad to find you take your Cooper chimed in here because she is destroyed. Like I was reading that much is for sure. So for magic down on. Brandin cooks a little bit down if your little down Ryan Fitzpatrick that that you are in turn down on both OJ Howard and Chris Godwin. Well, I mean, no, because I'm down on Chris Godwin. I haven't been the forties because again, I think the whole offense is down like you're still gonna have to start Mike Evans here, but I'm nervous about Godwin versus Jackson, I think cancel each other out. You're just basically hoping for one big play..

"We have a very small sample size onto j. I get that. I understand why people are still not prepared to totally by in, but look at last year how he performed against Jacksonville. L. he was quarterback for that week. Now, granted is week sixteen, but game was in San Francisco. Yeah, but Jacksonville was pretty impervious to road home splits last year, so I don't totally buy that argument. And I think he's already means. It's going to say, I got word of the day counter looking it up right now, but I got a Harry Potter word. I feel like that's like a like that. Like, you know, it's like a spell the megani, say, like impervious. Door goggle is Matthew. My heart is bursting with pride right now. It really is. You. Thank you. Points slithering bottom line is that now with an entire offseason to work with his receiving core, he's got many options back. I think quite frankly, look, they lost her McKinnon. They're going to have some splits here between Moore's embrace that, but I think that you're going to see a lot of throwing from Jimmy g. and I'm not concerned about it. Plus a couple of big plays. I think the big play potential marquees Goodwin is there. So I think he's still gonna put up a lot of fantasy points through. She seems to be a starter. You seem to think it's going to be a week one bust. Yeah. I mean, I haven't. I am as QB twenty in my initial initial ranks here is not that I hate Jimmy Garoppolo, but I will tell you that, you know it goes into like if I had this guy, would I start them? That's that's, you know, how do I ranks? Obviously, once you taken the projections and and all the number crunching the fact the matter is is that last year Minnesota allowed a league two different games of sixteen quarterback points, right? Neither which came in a home game is the home opener for the Vikings. They didn't allow a single quarterback too. Pass for three touchdowns last season. Remember they were top five defense last year, both completion percentage against an opponent touched on the interception rate. They allowed touchdown pass on a league low two point, three percent of attempts last year. Did they face Jimmy g. no, they not face Jimmy Garoppolo, but I, I will listen. I'm putting my money. Where is I? Will you the three of us the three of us along with a lot of other very smart people are in an ESPN staff Anisi league in our friend, Mike Claes..

"He had to sean kaiser he had cody kessler he didn't have a veteran in his quarterback room anybody could teach anybody anything anybody who he could trust to put in a game once the rookie couldn't handle it anymore tyrod taylor drew stanton or there now the whole thing is different in terms of how you can operate that quarterback situation where do you think for baker mayfield where do you see a scenario where he should go in lulu hesse fall apart would you would you actually consider not playing him at all no matter what happens to give him that full year if tyrod till is holding holding if he's holding the fort down i mean even if the season goes like this where you know they win but this kind of uneven keep tyrod to keep them in there with tyrod tyrod and it's one of the this there's no rush there's no rush really though bacon the fans obviously wanna have their safe they go through rough pass but but like dan said there's a new regime in there they have a plan form so don't deviate from the plan if necessary but if he's ready to play and he can actually do it i think there's some that will take the other side and say this this is your first overall pick plea the guy what's the point is he's ready to play in the season is lost it which i mean again you would expect it to be i mean given the good the steelers probably oregon and how far the browns have it go then yes and i remember talking to eat y manning some years ago about his experience right he was a rookie in two thousand four number one overall pick played behind kurt warner and got in midway through the season i think the giants were fun to and six when he went in so lost season and he said looking back he was glad that he played that year even though he took his lumps and lost a lot because becoming the starter heading into the following season in two thousand five he at least had some sense of what it was like so it probably would benefit baker mayfield if he's to be the two thousand nineteen starter to play at some point in two thousand eighteen but that has to that has to happen once there's no chance of two thousand eighteen being anything and then again you have to be fair to tyrod taylor if he's been good you you know he's going to be looking for job next year and he wants to be coming off a good season as well so it'll be a tricky situation a managed but easier than last year for sure engine baker not the only rookie quarterback trying to win at job right in buffalo there's josh allen nathan peterman and aj mccarron do you think that josh allen has a shot at starting this season damon who's was interesting about this scenario i think they would like to sit him but look at the gaza in front of them they don't have many starts if so this could be a situation if he comes on in cabinet and looks good i could absolutely see josh allen mcginnis star for the buffalo bills and out in arizona sam bradford with that big contract but he's got josh rosen right behind him here how do you see this playing out for this is the opposite situation of damian was just talking about of these guys josh rosen has the most established guy in front of him sam bradford if he's healthy gives the cardinals the best chance to win this year and it will be the most reliable option but that if he health is a huge if with sam bradford as we all know and because of that you have to think josh rosen has at least a chance but it's tied to the health of the man in front of one of the most interesting quarterback rooms right now the new york jets josh mccown teddy bridgewater and sam darnold could sam darnold win this starting job damian all the rookie quarterback situation i think this one sam donaldson situation where he could be most likely to start with one i mean if he's in a situation where like i like i say if he's even he's leaving they're putting everything on his plate and if he proves that he can handle it he'll be the week one started against the detroit lions heavily ready to go todd bowles has right now though josh mccown is the starter right now on espn dot com you can read mike claes.
