"Has been filling in the last four races with Kurt Busch being out with concussion like symptoms, so obviously a ton to unpack here, both about what it means for ty Gibbs, his future in the Cup Series, what's going on with Kyle Busch being inside our show gets racing, what happens with Kurt Busch in terms of when's he going to come back? I mean, should he come back really at this point in the regular season with just the Glenn and Daytona left before the playoffs? Like, I wonder if that comes into the calculus now with that team's decision there. You'd have to thank that may. Rex can happen anywhere or anything like that, but why not come back when the playoff starts? You know, don't put yourself in that position. Take as much time because he has that. Unless we have the two winners and then it's going to be a non issue with that. It wouldn't have mattered probably if he would have come back. So I don't know. But the question is about ty Gibbs and I'm just saying, I don't know where there's a seat in that Toyota camp, but Joe Gibbs or 23 11 racing, but Todd Gibbs deserves the seat. He's ready for a seat in cup racing. He does not need to be in Xfinity full-time anymore. Yeah, listen, I agree. Sometimes and it's a stupid saying. Hire good people and find a place for them. Okay? Ty Gibbs is good people when it comes to driving a race car. Higher tag Gibbs and find a place for it. That's how simple it is. Just as Dale said, he doesn't need to be an Xfinity racing anymore. You know, Rick Hendrick looked at William Byron and said, you're my future. You're the future of part of the future of white Hendrick motor sport. I'm committed to you now. We talked earlier about Ryan Blaney and Penske committing to him. Somebody needs to commit to ty Gibbs. Whether that's his grandfather, whether that's Michael Jordan. I don't know. You know what I mean? Somebody in that Toyota organization has to commit to him to say, you're our future. Because there's nothing but blue scan from this kid. He has done a phenomenal job, or an exceptional job. I think getting in a Pocono with no practice, being calm, talking them through it, and finally we go through two races, Indy was not going to be a spectacular. We didn't think. You still had a solid race. But we put him in a position, or they put him in a position so he could race at Richmond. And we actually saw him race. We saw him racing with Kyle Busch. And I think that that progression over a three race period in this car shows that he deserves are at least has the talent to be in one of these cars. Well, I'll turn around on you. Hire good people find places for them. Does it still apply to Kyle Busch? I mean, should Toyota find a place to kind of keep Kyle Busch in the fold if they decide that ty Gibbs. Okay, let's say this. Hire good people and find a place for him unless they want to pot load of money and you don't have the money, okay? So let me say that. And I'm not saying Kyle Busch wants a pot load of money, but he's worth a potluck on. Okay. He is worth a pot load of money. So I don't know the D lens

"Get on a rolling continue and they just don't they fizzle out for one for one reason or another. And let's not forget pit road speeding. Penalties and pit road issues and all that stuff. That scares me too with a lot of people. We're looking at the play out pitcher right there. And obviously, the name everybody's talking about bagman is being outside, is Martin Truex Junior. I think normally we'd be thinking, this is a guy, he's one at Watkins Glen one there in 2017 on his way to the championship, has won at Sonoma as one many road courses throughout his career, but no one's really talking about it as a contender this week. Kyle said it this morning. Did he miss his best shot already at Richmond because of the way Toyota has run on road courses this year and the fact that Truex doesn't have a win in a super speedway, can Martin Truex Junior still make the playoffs. He's going to have to have more help than he needed last week because I agree with Kyle. I thought Richmond was his best opportunity. Statistically coming in MTG was gold last week. When you were coming in to Watkins Glen, I think some of the bloom has fallen off his rose at Watkins plan in road forces. And he even admitted it with us on motor racing network last week. He's like, look, we're not as good as the road courses as we used to be. And there's obviously a difference there. I'm not going to totally rule him out, but I got people that I think that could win that race right now more than I think he can. And then we go to Daytona. He's just not been good on super speedways. Martin, there's a wreck that's going to break out. Martin's going to be in the middle of it. I mean, he came close to winning that Daytona 500, but as far as being one of those names on the short list to win the Daytona, I just don't have MTG there. He's going to have to have some help, something's going to have to happen to the 12, or he's going to have to take advantage of some pitch strategy or some luck of the draw at Daytona, but I think his best chances to even make it to the playoffs have passed. My confidence is low on the 19th. Not saying they can't do it, but my confidence is a whole lot less this week than it was going into Richmond last week. And you feel like ship may have sailed. Yeah. Listen, I do. I think listen, he's had success on the road courses. And but here we've seen what the Chevy's done. We just talked to Randall. We know what chase brings to the road course and the Chevy's bringing the road tours and Tyler brings to the road course. And we know what Austin brings to the road course and some of these guys that are pretty good. I think Martin continues to go down by the time we get to Daytona. I've got Corey Lajoie, Austin Dillon, Eric Almirola, Ricky Stenhouse. I got all these guys ahead of Martin Truex when by the time I get to Daytona

"Goes to the left. Some of it gets crossed up right here. You are in trouble. Look at that. There is nowhere to go. There is no evacuation route in turn three when you get to the top of the hill. Things get narrow, Kyle, and you can speak to it. I mean, you get caught up in somebody's mess, you have absolutely nowhere to go. Yeah, I think I'm the one that crossed up and took out Mark and everybody. So thanks for the memories there, back then. Everyone say it. But here's the deal. That is that is and Dale and I know it at the same time. It is like crashing in your driveway. Man, you've just blocked everything, but at the same time, that's where you have to make time. Because if you lose time coming up through there, from two to three up through the S's, then it shows up at the bus stop. It shows up at the end. And that's when you're just a setting up. They're going by you on both sides. So it's critical. And you, you do a great job and you can visually see who's making time and who's not making time. You see them carry that left front, you see them sideways, whatever it may be. But that is a critical part of the racetrack that always goes as far as the analysis of the racetrack. Always, people are like, yeah, up through the S's. No, up through the S is where you make your time on a qualifying lap where you make your time a lot of times during the day. Well, if you stop and think about it, so turn two is the first turn of the S's. Well, when you get that launch in that right hander and you start that run, you've got to almost be flawless and you got to get a good launch up at it too. You got to transition over into three and then ease into four and then go to the back straight away. Well, if you scrub off any speed, you just killed your backstretch speed and you killed the entry going into the inner loop. While at the same time, here's something I've been hearing this week with the loads of the cars. I mean, Randall just talked about shop limiters and the bump stops and all this. You hook that curving at the bottom of two and that car jets out on you. Next thing you know, you're crossed up and here we go with multi car pilots all that stuff. You've got to be laser precise going up to those S's. And if you get off course, you can hang it up. You're done. Yeah. You could be where all the action is this weekend with these new cars. I don't know how much of your life is spent taking phone calls Batman, but you've joined a call in show. Yes. I'm afraid you're up for another one. Greg, joining us here on NASCAR, America motor mouse, Greg, what do you have for Mike Bagley and the crew? Hey, guys. I'm a huge fan of the show. I'm from Tommy Stewart's hometown of Columbus, Indiana, and sort of a big supporter of Kevin Harvick. I just want everybody's thoughts on what's everybody thinking about Kevin Harvick when the championship this year. Batman answer that one. Everybody just calm down. Okay, let's talk. We actually win the championship three, three weeks ago. And then now we get somebody come onto the scene. Look, there's a lot of recent left to go. And I think Rodney's shoulder is summed up best this week when he said, you know, we can go here and we can win this race and next week, we may be out to lunch. And then the next week may be decent and there's no consistency. We'll get pockets of it. It was a surprise that they won this past weekend. Michigan just perfectly timed pitting and caution sequence for the four team. And they were able to take advantage of it, got the race pulled away. I think that perhaps maybe they're onto something. They said it started in Nashville, and they say that, well, we've not done a whole lot. Look, Ronnie's shoulders is roddy Childers. We all know how Rodney is. I think Rodney has found something maybe. We'll see only time will tell. But if they don't put it together at Watkins Glen or Daytona, I'm not that worried, but show me what you got at Darlington. Show me what you got at Kansas and, you know, those mile and a half tracks like that coming up. And we'll see if they got a championship worthy effort. But right now, I'm confident about the four. I'm not sold that it's going to all manifest itself into a championship. I'm getting close to being pretty sold. And I think you said on Monday show DJ that right now you've got the four in your championship four. I only have three of the four, but I'm back here. He's one of them. I've said that the 9, the 11, and now the four are the only three that I think that I say can maneuver their way through. And I think the playoffs you may disagree with me, but I think because of everything that you are saying and what Rodney church is saying about being on it for a week or two and then all of a sudden things go away. What you can't have that when you get in the playoffs unless you're going to win a race in each one of the rounds. So I think this may be the most pressure pack that we've seen. Oh, it's going to be pressure pack. Those are not about it. I just can't get a gauge and maybe you guys can. But I'm not being able to get a gauge on consistency. Like Joe and nagano with Darlington. He shows up. He was running second, moved by to win the race, comes back, can't find him the following weekend of Kansas. Then the next week he'll be decent, then they'll miss it by a little bit. A lot of these crew chiefs are still guessing mode, like they're still, yeah, they got simulation, but they're still, I don't want to say necessarily trying things, but they're not necessarily sure with confidence until they can go back to some of these racetracks for the second time and going through those notes and all that stuff. I think it's possible that the 14 can get on a roll, but I've been bitten already several times this year with teams that I thought that were going to get on a rolling continue and they just don't they fizzle out for one for one reason or another. And let's not forget pit road speeding. Penalties and pit road issues and all that stuff.

"NASCAR and NBC going radio style this weekend at Watkins Glen international in the S's. We'll have Mike Bagley from MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR radio. The inner loop also known as the bus stop, Dale Earnhardt junior will call the action through there. And then coming out of the carousel into turn 6, we've got Jeff Burton calling all of the action there as well. And of course, Rick Allen Steve what tart at the start finish line in the booth. Calling this weekend's race at Watkins Glen air national and as promised, the man in the yes's. Now joins us Mike Bagley. Bagman, what do you think? Are you got your pipes all warmed up? Dolce and tones ready to go for this weekend? We are locked and low. We are ready for action boys. Top of the evening, how are we all doing today? We're good. Good, man. We're good. So let's just start with, you know, we've been doing this a few years now. I mean, tell us about like, does it get easier? Each year was it easy from the start? You know, what's it like being a part of our broadcast and doing this radio stuff? Well, for me, it's a whole lot easier now than what it was because before we did this, I think it was what, 6 years ago, I think we did our first one. I'd never done any kind of TV. I've got people saying, got a triple box coming. What's a triple box? And then you don't want to be that guy, right? Pardon me, could you tell me what this is? And you're like, hey, they just said Elvis, who what's going on with the Elvis? What's going on with this? So getting used to all that, the lingo, but I think the most awesome thing for me has been getting to know everybody on the crew. I said this this morning on the show that it used to be that radio state in its lane and TV state in its lane, and those paths didn't cross. Well, they did 6 years ago and we enjoy it. Fans enjoy it. I think everybody gets a kick out of it. It's just a different way to present the race. Just putting a putting a unique spin on it and a track like Watkins Glen and his legendary as Watkins is. It's pretty awesome experience. Yeah, listen, it's Dale and doing pre race and post race. We get to watch you guys. And it's a lot of fun. Radio style for me is a lot of fun because it's like, it's like that throwback of listening to MRN and listen to that, all that because that's what I grew up with going to the racetracks and traveling with my dad when we'd fall out of races or whatever. My question is this. We only do this once a year. It's a special occasion. You take it from Rick and Steve, you throw to junior. What's that rhythm like? Does it take a few laps and take a few practice laps when you don't in practice or qualify on whatever it may be to get back in that rhythm of different personalities on both either side of you? Yeah, it does. And we're going to take some opportunities to knock some rust off this weekend before we get going. I think the thing where as far as like the pacing is concerned, you don't want to oversell it, but you want to do it justice. So trying to find that trying to find that happy medium. I'm just an excitable guy. It's like, you know, I'm excited to be calling races. I do it with enthusiasm. And then I think that rubs off down the line. I think getting the timing and the drops and everything right, you know, a lot of people think that when we do it on radio that there is someone in our ear telling us what's talk or there's a light that flashes when to go because we had that seamless handoff, it's all by voice inflection. And the more we do the voice inflection and the more we get into the rhythm of that, the further along that we go, I think they're better off we are and all the time that goes along with that. It's a blast to do, but it's also I get a kick out of seeing Dale junior and also Jeff evolve into that style. They're doing more analysis, but getting into that rhythm of that handle that we do. Ensure radio and then obviously what we'll do Sunday and radio style. Yeah, you guys make it pretty seamless at seems like you do it a lot of times together, which we know is it. Let's talk about the part of the track that you're at that I don't think fans understand as much because they hear about the bus stop and everything that you go through there and getting down into turn one. But as a driver, that was one of the places that I looked every time you started up through the S's that I'll either make it here if I don't. This is going to be pretty big. I'm not sure that everybody understands the speed and exactly how narrow that is and the things that could happen if one driver messes up. I think that's a good point. It's been pretty tame the last few years, but Kyle, you can speak to this. You got swept up in a wreck you and Dale and Mark back in the 90s where somebody gets crossed up, you know, all around this racetrack like we're coming into the essence right here. That's the right hander that's turned to, then the card transitions back or goes to the left. Some of it gets crossed up right here. You are in trouble. Look at that. There is nowhere to go. There is no evacuation route in turn three when you get to the top of the hill.

"I want to bring international drivers to the NASCAR Cup Series and you see here that we're already making history. Sunday at Watkins Glen where we have drivers from 7 countries the most ever in Cup Series history in one single race. We've got drivers from Finland with Raikkonen. Daniel Suarez obviously in Mexico. Mike and rockenfeller, whose overall winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans from Germany, he's also run the Rolex 24. He'll be there. He was a former F one veteran from Russia. I mean, the list goes on and on. Yeah. Maybe we'll see IndyCar guys. 1969, they were all from the same state. They're all from the same state. You know what? But you're right. You only had drivers from 5 or 6 state, period. You know what I mean? We didn't even do that. So that's pretty special. To an answer to this question, I think we're closer to seeing those guys. With this project 91, and just in general, with this car, I think this car brings our sport, brings NASCAR and what the car itself is closer to the IndyCars closer to sports cars closer to European racing. So it's not as big a transition for a driver to jump in. Yes, it's a transition. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that all race cars are the same. But what we had before was so foreign to what akimi Raikkonen would say. So far and to what a Rockefeller would look at. Today they look and they look in the wind and they're like, yeah, I've seen this car before. I've been in this car before at some point in time. There's so many things. So I think that's part of it also. I think it's great. And it's great for the sport and you look at it. I just wonder who's going to be the first driver to really welcome someone like kami to NASCAR and giving that little punch in there. Right or left rear quarter panel, depending on what corner it might be. Yeah. Well, certainly not. But unfortunately, right? Depending on the turn one on the first restart, we're expecting it'll be quite the welcome for these guys. Oh, yeah. Can you imagine that? I can't. Wow, man. Hey, welcome to NASCAR boys. Turmoil. Watkins Glen. Let's take another phone call, NASCAR America motor mouse, welcoming Justin to the program, Justin. What are the I for us? Yeah, I guess it has a question. Where do you think cases could. Not only work overall

"Motor mouse when we come back. Certainly been a memorable first 16 races as we take here another look at the playoff leaderboard, Ross Chastain, William Byron, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, as we just talked about with DJ, the only guys with two wins really seems wide open, heading into the NASCAR NBC, pushed to the playoffs here. These next ten races that set up the final ten race championship dash and joining us now to talk about the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, the hosts of the morning drive on SiriusXM NASCAR radio, they will be with us for the next half hour here on NASCAR America motor mouse. It's Mike Bagley and Pete pistone. So guys, we just had ty Norris of track house racing join us in segment one and obviously he's been part of the biggest story I think of the year. So let's just get started with start with Pete, both of you guys thought starting with Pete on track house and what a story that's been this season. Well, if anybody said at the beginning of the year Nate, the track house racing would have three wins by the time we got to June 15th. I don't even think Justin marks or ty Norris would have said that. That by far is the biggest story of the first 16 races this year for me. Two from Chastain, one from Suarez, and I think from the reaction that PacMan and I get on the morning drive, I think the fans are really plugging into this story as well because this is what a lot of race fans want. A lot of sports fans want. Story they didn't expect. The underdog story. Guys that have never won before. And I think it's amazing. And I think Justin marks, I was trying to figure this out the other day. Has there been another owner guys that have come in and NASCAR in such a short period of time and made such an impact like Justin march and trackhouse racing? You need to be argues.

"You think back just the probably the last four to 5 years there's been a dominant driver or two that had well over 50 playoff points going into the playoffs and here we're talking about numbers at 13. So what this is going to do. I think it makes it so much more interesting. But what's going to happen is when we get into the playoffs now, remember last year everybody saying what Kyle Larson has to, you know, he's got an easy way in to the final four there and we've said that about Kevin Harvick in years past Martin Truex Junior doing doing that same thing. That's not going to happen this year. So when we start the playoffs and you get that first round, if you have one bad race, you can find yourself in a lot of trouble because you don't have a safety net there to fall back on. So this is going to require drivers and teams to be on their game every single week. And now you're also throwing in the mix, drivers and teams, crew chiefs, crews that haven't ever been in the playoffs before and the added pressure to perform each and every week there. So this is just getting so much more interesting. We talk about the season and the parody and the opportunity. I mean, we might even end up with 16 winners and not have anybody in on points. So I'm just so looking forward to see how these ten races play out and exactly what happens. And then when we start to playoffs again, every week is a pressure packed situation for these teams and drivers. Yeah, it's definitely a hot topic, DJ, and we thank you for joining us to talk about here when we come back. We'll be talking to a couple of guys who've been talking about this a lot on SiriusXM NASCAR raider. That's Pete Boston, Mike Bagley, joining us here on NASCAR America motor mouse when we come back. Certainly been a memorable first 16 races as we take here another look at the playoff leaderboard, Ross Chastain, William.

"But now comes time for practical application. You've got all the cars on the racetrack. Now, when you put all of them out there with all of this put together, how will it come to be? What kind of race will we get? What kind of product will we get? We're going to have to wait and see. I'll give them an a for effort all the way from redesigning the track. And I say redesigning with the progressive banking to moving it tonight to doing all the other adjustments they've done as well. Well, wait and see. I'm hoping for the best. Let's head to Josh and Nebraska who wants to talk about the Bristol dirt race and he has the question that I want to ask. So Josh, go ahead, you're on with Mike Bagley. Yeah, hey, Mike. Well, my personal comments about this holder. Well, I'm pretty excited for the whole event. I'm really excited to see what the next gen car can do. I think what NASCAR is going to be doing with these next with last year's race, it's very exciting to see what they are able to do and to learn from the gen 6. I mean, if we look at what the next gen is like, no diffuser on there, I think that helps with a drag issue perhaps. Well, and also with the comments, is it possible that we're being dragged back? I'm not sure. I'm still excited for it. I really am. His question here, bag, man. Well, should Bristol be raced on dirt at all, which I say no. I mean, I think it's one of the best racetracks. Leave it as asphalt. I don't think Bristol should be racist. Let's go race el Dora if you want to race tour. What do you think, bag, man? Well, I think that the fans that said, listen, we don't have any short tracks as it is, and then you took one, you made a dirt. I think that that voice is still there. And I can see that point, I think that if we get a great race, you know, we were about to entertain this topic this morning, we may do it tomorrow. You know, when you sit there and you watch a race for 400 laps, right? And you sit there through 390 of it. And it's one thing. And then you get this massive run at the end and this chaos breaks out and all heck breaks loose in the final ten. A lot of fans forget what happened.

So <Speech_Male> I think <Speech_Male> my <SpeakerChange> prediction <Speech_Male> will shake my magic 8 <Speech_Male> ball. I think chase <Speech_Male> Elliott wins. <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> then everybody heads <Speech_Male> in the Phoenix Billy. <Speech_Male> Is Larson still <Speech_Male> the favorite or is <Speech_Male> it chase Elliott? I <Speech_Male> think Denny runs really, <Speech_Male> really, really well. <Speech_Male> And <SpeakerChange> I actually <Speech_Male> believe <Speech_Male> Brad Keselowski. <Speech_Male> I don't think they can shake <Speech_Male> them. I think the <Speech_Male> blue collar mentality <Speech_Male> is going <Speech_Male> to literally <Speech_Male> be and <Speech_Male> bang and <Speech_Male> grind and <Speech_Music_Male> fight my flask <SpeakerChange> for <Speech_Music_Male> this one. I'm challenging. <Speech_Music_Male> You can't just conversation <Speech_Male> about Truex. Can <Speech_Male> he get mean <Speech_Male> enough? I don't think so. <Speech_Male> Can he? Just <Speech_Male> not in his DNA. <Speech_Male> I'm sorry. But he's <Speech_Music_Male> going to Martinsville <SpeakerChange> where he <Speech_Music_Male> got knocked out. <Speech_Male> You know what he? And you know what? He'll <Speech_Male> get knocked out again. <Speech_Male> Barked that down. <Speech_Male> Somebody's gonna run <Speech_Music_Male> through Truex to win <Speech_Music_Male> this thing. <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> I don't even know <Speech_Music_Male> how to follow that up. <Speech_Male> So <Speech_Male> listen, next time you hear from <Speech_Male> Jeff and I we're gonna be <Speech_Male> in the booth Saturday, <Speech_Male> calling the Xfinity <Speech_Male> series race, but not <Speech_Music_Male> KP. We'll be back <Speech_Male> here in Wednesday, running <Speech_Male> my mouth. Back <Speech_Male> on Wednesday, <Speech_Male> so Colin Wednesday <Speech_Male> night asked Kyle <Speech_Male> Petty it's you Marty <Speech_Male> Dale Jarrett, <Speech_Male> looking ahead. <Speech_Male> I think so, anybody else <Speech_Male> that wants to <SpeakerChange> join us? Which <Speech_Male> means you guys, <Speech_Music_Male> call in. Reason they call <Speech_Music_Male> it motor mouse. Yeah. <Speech_Music_Male> Right. And the <Speech_Male> golden team master <Speech_Male> himself, Mike Bagley, <Speech_Male> we'll be joining you. <Speech_Male> He's been there for sure. It's been a blast. Thanks for all the calls.

"It's a lot of fun. And it's a very inclusive community. We love to have folks come in and come to the races. Many of my friends come in for the big stakes. Preakness time or in the fall at Laurel and have a great time. So I invite you to come racing here and participate in our program. It's a lot of fun. We're in the move as well. You know, I was worried with only 12,000 people at the Preakness. What would happen to the purse account and the bread fund, but four children who simulcast and the VLT, money, we actually had a surplus. So things are rolling here as well. And it's a wonderful opportunity. Folks in Maryland know how to breed and take care of and raise good horses. So anyway, I'm so grateful for the participation of the sales and simulcast when we have big fields. I can feel the and see the totals on the betting tallies and the money comes in from out of town. And it's going to be fun and we're probably going to sell the bonds for the new pimlico and Laurel rebuild, perhaps beginning this fall and that would be a whole new era for Maryland racing. They're trying to put a poly at Laurel just like a Gulfstream they'll have three different tracks. It could be world class. Yeah, well, one thing's for sure. "Moody, Mike Bagley, Eric Morris, Jason Toy, Kyle, Ricky, Kurt Becker and Tim Cattle. Fam O on the pit lane and garage area. Kim Kun. And Pete Best Oni. William Byron is the race leader. He's led all seven laps to this point, a couple of big guns that started deep in the field. In fact, one started dead last Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott. Child to a backup car didn't even attempt to qualify. Chase made two attempts at qualifying Both times He was out there. We went under a red flag or a caution and the laps didn't count trying to get out there right at the very end of qualifying to get a lap in time expired. He started deep in the field, but they didn't stay there very long. Did not chase Elliott has worked his way from the back of the field up to 15th. That is a gain of 13 positions in the opening seven laps, but he is not the highest runner on the on the leaderboard as far as gaining positions, not by a long stretch. Well, you've got Kyle Busch, that is up. 21 Chase Elliott up. 13 Austin Dillon Having a good run, he's up 11. Alright When you're moving up the leaderboard, some must be free falling back through the field and they are and those drivers that are having a hard time right now are Daniel Suarez, who is now back in the garage area without apparent transmission issue. James Davison, the Australian driver that's running the Indy 500 A couple of times He's dropped 13 positions. Ryan Eversley, the sports car races down seven positions. Ryan Newman is also one of those drivers losing positions. Why don't we take a look at the leaderboard right now? Again? Working on lap.

"Number three if he's conserving fuel, and you never know what here at this end of the race track as he closes in on more traffic and continues to draw away from loyal Byron and second Here comes Brad Keselowski off Turn three. Staying on the race track flying by the start finish line. 13 laps now to go looking at the lap times. Brad Keselowski of 53.9 2nd lap. Where's Kevin Harvick? He's now up to 13. His lap time is right around 55 seconds, Keselowski putting down a heck of a lap this time, which tells me, Jeff, He's trying to get all he can get right now because he knows he's got to make a pit stop. Well, you've got to believe that that's the case. Brad Byron Kurt Busch, Hamlin. Kyle Larson. Let's follow. Brad Keselowski, I believe is back in front of Mike Bagley across the tunnel turned by himself and headed to Kyle Ricky continuing to pull away from William Barr William Byron continuing to pad that advantage over Kevin Harvick, who is not quite a half a lap behind the recurrent race leader, Brad Keselowski as he closes in on some more slower traffic, including Christopher Guest. Mr formal keeps his car begins The outside wall. Keselowski will go by Dave Moody. These types of races are just nail biters and fun for race fans. They're fun for us to broadcast. But if you're a crew chief, a driver, this is gut wrenching. It'll give your ulcer an ulcer by the time this is over, but I'll give Brad Keselowski and company credit. Mike Bagley's right. He's still driving hard. If he's going to die today. In this race, he's going to be carried off the field of battle on his shield..

"Pit road. It's still to workout form. They probably be passing Kevin Harper like 10 laps to go or something that hurt Bush made to stop just a moment ago. Also, Benedetto made a Pitstop. But now we're seeing number one and number two on the race track. That's position one and two come to pit road here comes true, Lex. He's going to make a stop in cellars, Kyle Busch, but true exes in Let's Cover it. No wrenches back student will nose down in a way. Very quick! Stop! Ah! Bush! It's now number four. The crew's going to work on the right side of the Eminem's Toyota. He's got a throwback to one of the earliest paint scheme of Elliott Sadler, who was the first card of Victory Lane for Robert Tracey. Four tires. He's gonna get out behind Martin through Extreme pit board is out for their third teammate. That's FedEx Toyota. Any him? Well, he just had a truck trouble moment. Just a moment ago, we tried to get the pit road from the outside lane turned 3 20 transition to the bottom. He came across the nose of Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy almost turned him in three. Hamlin was beyond the commitment lines and he had to make another lap. It's spectacular call by Mike Bagley Exactly what happened. We all saw it here in the broadcast booth. "Tip of the cap to you, my friend because you did an outstanding job. Get everybody underway. Mike Bagley Over in turn number three, right 48 to go here in stage number two. The weather is beginning to change around us Just a little bit, Alex. Yeah, That's an understatement. You could say for sure coming up out of out of the East, which is behind the front straightaway. It is. It's picking up with the wind. But the skies were getting extremely dark now by rule here, since we've begun this stage racing what we do to make a race deemed official it's whatever comes first. The end of stage two or halfway on the lap count. Today, it will be halfway on the lap count, which will be 156 laps. There's 1 38 on the board right now and, Well, Mike Bagley, your position out there in the grandstands on on the top. Over there. Turn number three. You've got a pretty good view of the changing weather conditions here. We've gone from bright, sunny skies to get cloud here. They're having to look over my right shoulder. And if you're familiar with the ruby independents stay, you know what I'm talking about. All of a sudden the sky has turned black. It's not showing up on my radar. But there is shower activity in the area and we've gone from having a great weather weekend now being threatened by Mother Nature here in the middle reaches of this second of the two double headers right outside our window. Where all the way at the top of the racetrack here there is a cameraman. And by rule, they have to be tethered and probably a good thing that he is because there's a lot of wind blowing around him. But we're in good shape right now. Jason Toy You are talking with Cliff Daniels about weather and And that affects how these guys approached the race. Doesn't it definitely doesn't mean it. Forces them to stay be takes change. Stay out on the opportunity comes up or come down..

"That infield road course right now, our own Mike Bagley, he's positioned just outside of the superspeedway turned to a welcome back. Mike. Glad to be back with you. Not a drop of rain has fallen. The lightning has abated. We got cars back on track going through Turn five. And we've been treated to a dandy. So far. Business is only going to pick up from here. Can chase Elliott hang on to this thing and pull it out of the fire Concur Bush get when one of the year lot of unanswered questions. Under cloudy skies, but no moisture falling from those skies and the cloud cover is very welcome in what was a very son washed turned to Sunoco tower this afternoon. So you're saying that it's over? The bad weather is over. It's moved on way. We are watching the radar. There is certainly Some cells further back over the middle portion of the state of Florida will keep an eye on them. But they're they're not. No, They're not going to be here in the next 10 minutes. Let's put it that way. All right earlier, because of the great position Mikhail Ricky has he is literally right on the edge of Lake Lloyd. And I know that that Lake looked refreshing earlier today, Kyle with temperatures or the heat index, well above 100. Yeah, About an hour hour and 1/2 ago, I was ready to jump in the lake here at Daytona. But like Mike said a moment ago, with this cloud cover that has come over the speedway. The temperature has come down about 10 15 degrees. Maybe more than a nice breeze off of Lake Lloyd here in the infield as well on the back side of Daytona International Speedway. It's been a great race thus far. Not too many mistakes here on the bus stop that left left, right, right left combination of corners to slow the cars down before entering superspeedways. Terra Superspeedway turns three and four. It's been fun to watch. I expect the intensity to pick up here in the final laps of this event. Jack. It's going to be fun to watch this still 28 laps to go. That's a pretty good, long way to go. However, 37.
