School Bus Drivers (MM #4528)
"I don't know if you have this problem where you live, but the city of Louisville is having to delay the start of school because they don't have enough school bus drivers. It was supposed to start last week and they tried, but they couldn't get the kids to school. To me, school bus driver is probably one of the toughest jobs there is and that's taking nothing away from being a school teacher. So much of what you do is so pressure packed because number one, they don't have seat belts. Number two, you can't control the other drivers around you. It's a thankless job and I just can't imagine being a school bus driver. And of course, since COVID -19, it's a job nobody wants to do. Too much pressure, not enough pay. We've had a school bus driver shortage here in Middle Tennessee for the last six, eight years probably. I don't know if there's a solution. I know school systems are trying to figure it out, but the one solution they have that's not going to work is kind of staggering schools where they send the older kids to school earlier, then come back and pick up the younger kids and do it all over again. It's bad enough doing one run to school, but having to do two in the morning? That would be brutal.

Watching It Snow (MM #3943)
"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason. Most of middle Tennessee yesterday sat around watching it snow. I'll be honest with you, I don't know what we got. Three, 5, 7 inches. Heaven bothered going outside and I really didn't watch myself. Because I've been through this drill before. One of the reasons I wanted to move south was because it would avoid snow. Now I realize we only get a snow like this once every few years. Snow is an annoyance when you're in the south, and I've lived through bigger snows and I've lived through more snow and at least other places can handle it. But the one thing I've learned in all my years on this earth, kids love the snow, most smart adults don't. I realize there are people who love to ski and if you're a skier, you're not living in middle Tennessee, for the most part, unless you got to be here for business, but you're usually living somewhere where there is snow more often. I'm not a big fan of snow. I make no bones about it. It's the snow and the cold combined that I don't enjoy, but I'll be honest with you. It's the idiots on the road that I enjoy even less. Now we'll just shovel out from the snow here in Tennessee if you have a shovel. If you have a scraper, if you plan ahead, which most people haven't.

"Sources So don't be getting But Keep getting letters in the mail from our natural guests provider stating that Any pipelines that run exterior to the house. We would be responsible for 100% out of pocket for any repair or burst and they're offering a plane for eight bucks a month. That would, um, supply up to, um and $8000. Policy coverage, a better world hunger and if that would be a good idea to do absolutely not. That's horrible. Okay, That's what I thought. But I This is the first household that we've ever lived in with an electric. So I was going to get your perspective. Yeah, they're making a bazillion dollars on that They're making more on that crap in their own gas. Oh, my God. What I thought Yeah. So let me let me cut. Here's Here's how I'm answering. That question was such with such emotion, okay? Um in my life, which I'm old I have owned over 2000 pieces of real estate. Lots and lots of residential single family homes are on that list. I used to buy property that was trashed, Fix it up and resell it in my twenties. And flipping. And all of those pieces of property. I have replaced plumbing. And lots of them. I've replaced. I've had septic tank problems with lots of them. I've had a sewer lines running from the street that got busted up by roots from a tree growing next to them in lots of lots of them, not hundreds, but enough of them that I remember it happening a lot. Okay. I've bought houses that the wiring was bad in and we had to strip it out and put all wiring back. In all of those properties on I'm in Middle Tennessee and natural gas is very proper are very prevalent in middle Tennessee. You'll see it in a lot of our homes. I've been in my personal home now. I have it in my lake house now. Okay, right here in Middleton, So it's natural gas is everywhere where I'm doing all these deals. The vast majority of these houses would have had natural gas in them. The number of times I have replaced a natural gas line from the street. To the house. Out of all of those different experiences is zero. No one. Okay, beautiful. So there's actually some data behind my going. No way, right? Yeah. So that's what I thought, too, But I mean, I'll be more likely to buy sewer line experience sewer line insurance that I would be gas lining insurance, and they don't know they don't sell that that I know of. So Um yeah, that that's interesting God, what will they come up with next to sell people? Unbelievable. Hey, thanks for calling. That's very interesting. I appreciate that question. The first time I've ever had that question. I don't even know they did that. That's wow. So here's a good rule to remember on insurance of all kinds, extended warranties of all kinds..

Yeah, that's what When he turns into go, go. Power Rangers Looks like the jealous one guys I saw transferred. No, I'm just saying it because it looks like it's built to keep it looks like it's built to reflect the wind. Keep it off of you. Well, there's different kinds. You have some that have open pores to allow air flow to come through and very, very comfortable. Are you one of those guys when you ride your bike you have you don't have the headset for radio. You have to do blurring speakers in your face. Well, yes And no. I have two motorcycles. I have a gold wing, which I could do that. Or I can use a Bluetooth device for my helmet, which I haven't put in my head because I don't really think the speakers of that. So I think that would be distracted. Well, to be honest with you, I don't really I don't really look at maps when I'm writing And even though I have on the gold wing and And I don't have the radio on when I'm writing. Ah, back roads with a lot of curves. I feel like you gotta concentrate. That's just how I am. I mean, I'm just, you know. So, um, Wow, I just always It was always interesting when I was a kid because they're always this is before they have Bluetooth and you roll up in some guy would just have that thing blaring like in front of his face. Oh, yeah, There's okay. Yeah, the motorcycle clan, uh, all kind of gets that there's a little bit of stupidity to what we're doing. I'm sorry, Middle Tennessee State University. Thank you, Bill. I am in Nashville and so he went to Middle Tennessee State University now is going to school out in Arizona. And it is a boatload of money that we are paying for my son to go to school, and that is all money right out of pocket. I mean, we're not taking We do not take out any loans. I just have to write a check every few months and let me tell you something. It is a ton of money. And so part of if the if Joe Biden decides to do this all think about this, too. So if you're like me And you just paid off is you go along. I called earlier and said that he had done this if you pay for school all along and not not taking out these loans, or if you're a parent that has done this. Well, then you also are getting penalized. I know the answer to our question is no. We will not be getting any of this money back. Now. Chase Chase. You are in Denton and you've been hearing to speak about You know the possibility that Biden may be issuing an executive order for giving $50,000 in federal loan debt. What do you think? Hey, thank you for taking my call today. Um, shout out to Rick. Hope you're doing well, um, but, yeah, I'm 23 years old and I just graduated from the University of North Texas. I've paid for it while I was going. I had a little bit of help from my parents. You know that. They wanted me to go to school further my education, but a lot of it was coming out of my pocket. You know, working my part time job going to classes. Doing that. But if they if they never took out student loans because I knew it was a scam, you know the interesting that is just ridiculous. It is insane. It is insane. So I did it the right way. So if you want to forgive probably about 75% of the students that go to colleges and take out these loans, what about the other people get better just getting there getting screwed all their money out of pocket. And and nothing, nothing for them, And that's why this whole equality issue an equity. It's all buzzwords. It's what I do know I chase it's It's what I like to call Chase is what I like to call a bumper sticker politics, bumper sticker activism or hashtag activism. You know, this is the kind of thing that they like to do. No. They like to come up with these these buzzwords or the slogans that looked really good to the right of a hashtag. But in reality, like, for example, with this whole thing With the repaying of the or forgiving of the college loan debt. It really looks good behind the hashtag. But in reality, it's just not fair to somebody like you who did it the right way. And paid it off. Is they go along? I think this is terrible for folks. And you're exactly right Colleges where they go to indoctrinate you. But you've got to be smarter than when you're getting there. And you're there lecturing you about you know, Marxism how great it is. How horrible capitalism is. You really got a You take a step back from these radical professors better spewing this nonsense, man. But so is so chase. Let me ask you because you're a conservative. It sounds like and good for you. Congratulations on getting out of college. Still retaining your conservative credentials. So, Yeah, man. It was It was hard. I bet. How did you was a As a 18 1920 21 22 year old man in college and conservative. How difficult was it for you to one? Did you have to keep your mouth shut or were you allowed to speak up? No. You brought up anything on the right now. You better not say it in class. You keep that to yourself. That's unfortunate because it wasn't I thought the other conservative s. So where Chase. Let me ask you when you were going to school and you wanted to speak up, but you couldn't Was. They're part of you. That was disappointed because you thought that college would actually be a place where you know ideas could be exchanged. Could. I thought that was the plan, But at the end of the day, I just wanted to make good grades. So I'll listen to what you have to say. And I'll remember it now. We're Gertrude Tate it for a test, but It really. It's not a place where you can, you know, have an idea of like a fiscal conservative and then argue with like some one on the left, and you know, you'll come to an agreement. Maybe there's some ground in the middle. Where y'all can find Agreeance is on. It's not like that. It suited you think this way or you're not going to pass? So chase. Let me ask you this question because I and I've asked this question before on the radio. Do you regret going to college? Do you have any regrets of of spending? All of that money. And then, um, just you know, you decided Why did why did I do that? Do you have any any college regret? I don't necessarily regret going to college. I love the degree I got. I got a bachelor of science and geography and I minored in geology. Um, like my core classes, you know, for those were really fun, and I enjoyed it. I love most of the people that were in my degree field, but I mean, some of the professors are just so radicalized. It's almost it's almost scary. I mean, I remember I had to take a class of its called critical resource in geography. And the first thing I had to write a paper about was Nigerian famine and how the Islamic caliphate failed in that, like Gets a bunch of nonsense. I really had nothing to do with it. It was just the pro Marx's book, but I had to write a paper about that. No, I just like this has nothing to do with furthering my education, and now he doesn't buy it.

CBS News reports person of interest identified in connection with Nashville bombing
"The name of a person of interest tied to the explosion that rocked Nashville on Christmas Day. Multiple sources say. Anthony Quinn Warner, a national area resident, had a similar make and model RV is the one in photos released to the public water described as a white male 63 years old. We're going live now to an FBI news conference from Nashville. I'm special agent in charge. Doug Corn, ask E. And then Mickey French. The special agent in charge of the FBI was a star. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms will also speak. Also joining us is Colonel Matt paired with the Tennessee Highway Patrol following the investigators update. Well, then hear from Mayor Cooper. At this time, I'll turn it over to United States Attorney Cochran Have known 2020 has been a tough year for Nashville. Started back in March with devastating tornadoes that we had the torch through some of our neighborhoods. Continued through the pandemic and the events of this past summer and now this Cowardly bombing on Christmas morning. Right here in the heart of our downtown. Yeah. When they haven't heard about Nashville use in the time I've lived here is that they're tough and they stick together as a team, and that's what we're doing now. And I want you to know that the team is behind me. And the folks that they represent are doing everything we can to. Find out what happened here to get the answers that you deserve. And to make sure that we're all safe. So One of the toughest groups of folks we've got here in middle Tennessee is our law, enforcement of first responders and nowhere in my experience in law enforcement. Has that ever been plainer to me and what happened early yesterday morning? 6 15 6 26 30 years. So on Christmas morning, Metro Nashville police officers just number of blocks north of here didn't run away from danger literally ran to danger. Vehicle that was announcing that it was going to blow up. And Metro Nashville police officers instead of heading in the other direction headed towards that. They evacuated that area got all the citizens out of there. I'm quite confident that their actions are part of the reason why there was less cost of life in this heinous act. Sorry. Yesterday morning we had a task force came together and it didn't No. One time thing. This is what we do all the time. The U. S attorney's office. We work together with our federal partners are state partners in our local partners. That's what immediately started happening yesterday. Teams of agents group together across agencies started handling leads its citizens are citizens were calling in. We've had over 500 leads and tips come in on every single one of those is being followed up by a team of investigators. That's the stage we're at in this investigation. We are still continuing to follow every lead that we have. On. We will continue to do so until we find out what's happened. We also have national resources here. The department justice, the acting attorney general has told me any resources we need. We can have the FBI and the A. T F have sent their most specialized bomb technicians here to Nashville. And as we speak, they are north of here, a number of blocks that he had a massive crime scene. Doing what they do. Doing frankly what they do better than anyone else in the world, and it's quite a challenge. Having been up there and seeing that scene, it's like a giant jigsaw puzzle created by bomb throws pieces of evidence across multiple city blocks. They've got to gather it. They've got to catalog it. They've got to put it back together and trying to find out what the picture of that puzzle looks like. But there's no one better to do it. Then the folks we've got on the ground here in Nashville, Tennessee, right now. So that's going on as we speak. The investigations of the Leeds was going on as we speak. I am Confident in the team. We have way will get to the bottom of this that we will find out the story of this individual or individuals. We don't know right now. But this this is ultimate Scrooge, who on Christmas morning instead of spreading joy and cheer decided to spread devastation and destruction. But We know how that story ends your Nashville. We're gonna stand together. We're gonna get back on her feet. We're gonna get our business is back up and running. We're gonna get our infrastructure and the cell coverage back up and running because that's what we do in Nashville. Thank you for your time. I
