Nasir Acikgoz's Advice to the Next Generation: "Everything Is Achievable"
"For you being someone that touches so much that is powerful at the end of the day that can make things happen You've overcome so much being a immigrant with a dream and a vision not knowing whether you would be where you are here today You know doing what you're doing today and just going after it becoming fearless conquering so much You know having God guide you and on this path knowing that things happen for a reason Even if it might not be the way you wanted it to be it happened for a reason just like in finance I don't want to take this course But now you do you know what a P &L is and you can look at it and see if you guys are losing or winning What do you see for the future of the green industry and you know the youth when it comes to just you know? Your path and your career and what you've been able to do and how you're still gonna be able to do more What do you see for the green industry and the youth? What would you have to say to them youth like their new? Younger generations or even people that are that are sitting on the sidelines of going after something that they think is unachievable Everything is that you will you put in your mind Watch once you set your mind to it you work again You know, first of all, you got to believe in God God gives you a talent. I give God sees everybody talents You got to find it And you put something in your mind you work you wake up in the morning you dedicate yourself Into it work hard, but well, you gotta work hard because some people say I'm doing this and I'm working but it's not happening Then that means you didn't work, you know, you didn't work or it's not what you're supposed to be. They're supposed to me And it'll happen in in the green industry and the youth what I would say is You have an idea Try it say look. You know what? I want to Do it in your mind, obviously you have to do it and you have to draw, you know draw what how you want to do it get the first prototype or or first production depending on the products and in like I said in you know, you know beginning of the pop kit a podcast that it's The opportunities are limitless. There's no limit. So it's gonna happen. Believe me it If it's a product you put it out there With the right time right person right platform people will see it and they're gonna start buying it Or a service again. It doesn't have to be a product. It could be a service and And they're gonna start using it. So Again, the green industry. I love it You know, like I said, I start as a hobby, you know a side business, you know for one of my tile businesses but it became a an addiction to me and and And it's it's a you know, I'm like, I'm like, you know what? It's a good business. It's a huge business And there's no limit. There's no I would say oh you can't there's no you can't do this in this business. You can do anything you know with plants with rocks with Synthetic turf now, you know everything with everything who would have thought we're gonna have synthetic turf back there Maybe would have left a huge movement I don't I don't know what that that industry is now, but it's gotta be over a billion dollar industry at this point It's billions of dollars right now Yes And in other states actually they're building like coffee shops kind of thing like you go there some brand names that came out you go You know, the products are out there. It's like a boutique you pick the product you have your drink Yeah, the coffee or whatnot. You're like talking to the people and at the same time you're purchasing it. It's So people came out with the idea and they they didn't think it's not gonna work out and it worked out for them Maybe it took a while to adapt to that, you know product into the industry or the service But if you think it's gonna work and you did your research, right? It's gonna work and it's gonna happen So never say never never say I can't do it Never say this is not gonna sell never say people will not call me for this service People will not call me for this product if you believe in yourself believe in the product Obviously first you got to believe in God, you know, it's gonna all all happen even even if you guys are going to school right now and you're like man the Industry that I picked, you know people in my in my niche of what I'm gonna go study They only make sixty thousand dollars a year. That doesn't matter. That means that they make sixty thousand dollars exactly There's you know you can you can Get in that same Ballpark and blow it up and become something so much more do something impactful that can touch the whole industry and this industry Did thirty six point four billion dollars the plant industry for the state of Florida last year alone for 2023 It was the strongest year. Well, no 2022 was the strongest year Out of all the years, but the fact that it was done and that's just in plant sales 6 .4. Yeah billion dollars for Florida imagine only

The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, the governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds. And you completely throw them under the bus, you call them names, and just because they don't bow the knee to you. That's not leadership. Trump deserved to lose my endorsement. Matter of fact, I've never endorsed him. In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here's Mike. I love that aside from the evangelical leader, Bob Vander Plaats. Trump deserved to lose my endorsement. Matter of fact, I never endorsed him. That's like a pretty important aside, you've never been in Trump's corner. I love all these people that act like it's a big deal that suddenly they're not endorsing Donald Trump and they've never been in his corner. It's got to be such a weird feeling to be against the guy who's a gazillion points ahead of everybody else. Now maybe the voters, listen, I got to respect the voters in the primary process. Nobody should be dropping out. I mean I know Doug Burgum dropped out the other day, but you know, Chris Christie doesn't need to drop out. DeSantis doesn't need to drop out. Chris Christie is calling, he reacted yesterday. Neil Cavuto, one of his favorite shows, he always races to Neil Cavuto because Cavuto's a never-Trumper. And here he is on Fox News with Cavuto yesterday being asked, well listen, there's a lot of praise, because I don't know if Christie's gonna be on that debate stage tomorrow night. Tracey, can you give me the latest see if we find out if Christie is gonna be there, because I'm not sure. The last I heard, he didn't have the criteria needed, and then it would only be Governor DeSantis, Ambassador Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy. That'd be it. Which would be a pretty, you know, that would be a pretty epic debate. If there's only two or three of them, I like that. I don't like it when there's ten people up on the stage and they're all yapping and they're babbling and they're interrupting each other and all that. If there's three of them up there, if it's just DeSantis, now, now, Vivek will infuriate Nikki Haley. She'll start yelling and screeching at him. He'll insult everybody. They'll try to avoid talking about Trump, which is the 800-pound elephant in the room. So I don't know if Chris Christie is gonna be up on that stage or not. But he doesn't need to drop out now. Maybe Chris Christie soars in New Hampshire. Maybe Ron DeSantis wins Iowa, giving him the desperately needed momentum that could propel him to the nomination. I don't know what's gonna happen. I mean, Chris Christie, for all of his bluster and all of his rage and, man, oh, man, this guy's like a World Wrestling Federation participant with Trump. I mean, you just, you could almost see Chris Christie and Trump in the octagon going at it. All Christie's about is trashing Trump. That's all he wants to, that's the, that's his whole purpose, that's his whole reason for being a candidate. What, what awful, nasty, horrific things can he say about Trump next? That's all he's about. So Neil Cavuto, his fellow never Trumper, well, no, excuse me, Cavuto used to be very much for Donald Trump before he became against Donald Trump. But I suspect Cavuto has always been against Donald Trump. Here was what Christie said when asked, why don't you drop out? And frankly, I think Christie's answer makes a lot of sense. You've heard the press, right? You know, well, Christie, you know, great job, brave campaign. You give out a bailout to give Nikki a chance, to give DeSantis a chance, you say? As, as, why shouldn't DeSantis bow out when he was in the mid thirties in these polls that everybody wants to be, you know, slave to. He was in the mid thirties back in the spring and now he's in the single digits. Why shouldn't he be the one to drop out? I was at zero. I'm now at 14 in New Hampshire. We seem to be going in opposite directions. He's right. Nobody needs to drop out. I mean, they're going to have to make that decision, but why should they drop out? Let the voters start voting. We're weeks away from the Iowa primary. They're going to start making this decision for them. If the Iowa vote reflects the Iowa polling, they should all drop out. If the New Hampshire vote reflects the New Hampshire polling, they should all drop out and coalesce behind Donald Trump. If the South Carolina polling, or voting rather, reflects the polling, they should all coalesce around Donald Trump. But we should at least wait for the primaries, don't you think? 1-800-655-MIKE.

Oh, they went way up some times for right Time no some yeah sometime for and then and then some of them times eight. Wow. Yes So you're paying twenty thirty grand a container together, you know some countries. Yes Imagine I'm bringing pebbles. Mm -hmm, and I'm selling it as certain amount per bag. Mm -hmm or per ton. Mm -hmm and and And a nursery calls me or the distributor calls us and Says look are you gonna be able to bring it because the pandemic the shipping rates we already know because they already bring other products To they already know the problem I'm like, look, I'm gonna take the risk. I'm gonna bring it. I'm a businessman. I have to have the product Yes, and I remember even one of the nursery owners told me Nasir I think you should wait until it cools down. I said to him you would have still been waiting Yeah, and I told him I can't wait. I have to bring it. I'm a supplier for I'm gonna you know Manufacturer for all these color clients that I had but I'm gonna give him an option. Look I have it available The price is four or five times more You know, it's here, but it's here. Yeah, you wanna make it work. Yes, you know what happened the containers They were not even coming. I mean they weren't they weren't they weren't even here yet. That's here I need ten pallets. That's here. I need five pallets. That's it. I'm like, look, are you sure? This is the price you and even the person who told me that you know and that's you gotta wait Are you sure because this is the price I'm not me, you know, I want you to know Just so you know because sometimes you know, it lands and start on a seat I thought it was the last price, you know, they tried to you know, get a better price from you It's in the nature of the business. Yeah, of course That I couldn't keep anything in stock.

Cannibalism Theory and the Left's Desperate Racism Accusations
"Love you you're welcome the p ones you know i'm going with this my cannibalism theory of the left is very simple conservatives ignore these idiots now we will police racism where we see it because we believe in god -given rights but we've started to realize that the left doesn't mean whenever it the left cries racism it's a political fight it's not a moral they they know tarring people with that label has worked for them in the past it doesn't work anymore the left calls everyone their mother their dog their cat their hamster everybody's a racist to the left so we just give it up i mean we know it's not even serious anymore so the charge is now now jim you've been in radio three decades you and mike both i asked this a lot of you but you know know for a fact twenty thirty years ago if you were called a racist it was a big deal folks you could lose your job i mean it was a serious thing the democrats have so watered down this label and have called every bit no one buys it anymore so the cannibalism theories given that we're ignoring them they're going to start using it now that racist label because it works on their own people just not us they're going to start using it on their own people queue up for me if you would jim cut for here here is cnn doing a segment on dean phillips and i want you to listen and dean phillips at end the of this has the perfect comeback to this being called a racist because he's in new hampshire thing and it's how even though the guy's a democrat i never support democrats ever but he has the perfect comeback if recuse of the same thing check this out your exchange with them casey over uh... black voters and not not just black for his key coalitions in the democratic party was really talented yeah and you you know know and i'm i'm really into some really bad barrels here and when i learned when i learned about that because he's obviously gone back and forth with jim cliburn because cliburn supported this move to have the first primary go to south carolina he said it was disrespectful of black voters the way phillips is going about his campaign and and i think we should just note that trying to win a democratic combination without the help of some of these critical groups is i think next to impossible although i want to know you think let's how dean phillips answer this question first of all if he feels i've disrespected anybody i apologize but if it's because i was in new hampshire speaking with voters here that that was voters i take exception to that because when i'm in south carolina shortly visiting with black voters that is not disrespectful to muslim voters in michigan listen and dean ellips i don't know you you're a democrat i don't support democrats ever but ladies and there are learning moments to be found on social media and the internet everywhere that is actually how you

I want to talk with you about this book. David Brooks's brand new How to Know a Person, The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen. David joins me now. Hello, David. How are you? It's good to be with you again. It's good to talk to you. David, I'm used to getting books, and I got yours for free. They get sent to me. I want to tell you I'm going to buy six copies of How to Know a Person, three for my children and their spouses, and three for friends who are no longer friends that I want them to read. I wonder if you've had other people tell you that they're going to be buying your book to give to other people. Yeah, thank you for being generous on Twitter about the book. I appreciate it. Yeah, no, I've had people buy it for all their employees. I've had people buy it for the families. I haven't heard about buying it for ex -friends, but it's a good strategy. It is. We just live in these brutalizing times. It is. And my book is supposed to be a missile directed right at that. It's about the precise skills of how do you get to know someone, how do you make them feel respected, seen, heard. How do you make them feel respected, seen, and heard? I know why my friends are not my friends anymore. It's because of Donald Trump. They thought me insufficiently outraged about Donald Trump, and I can't bridge that gap, right? I can't be other than what I am, which is I voted for him twice, and if he's the nominee, I'll vote for him again. But they don't understand it, and I don't know that they're trying to understand. I don't understand them either, but I think How to Know a Person has assisted me. So, congratulations. Let me also tell you, I told our mutual friend Bob Barnett that I was telling people about your book in Miami as I prepared for the debate, because my wife and I talked about one statistic in particular, one paragraph actually, on page 98. Thirty -six percent of Americans reported they felt lonely frequently or almost all of the time, including 61 percent of young adults, 51 percent of young mothers. The percentage of Americans who said they have no close friends quadrupled between 1990 and 2020. 54 percent of Americans reported that no one knows them well. That is an extraordinary raft of terrible news, David. Yeah, and I found it's hard to build a healthy democracy on top of a rotting society, and so when this people are filled with loneliness and sadness, it turns into meanness, because if you feel yourself unseen, invisible, there's nothing crueler than feeling that people think you don't exist, and you get angry, and you lash out, and we have these school shootings. We have bitter politics. We've got the brutality of what's happening on college campuses right now, where Jewish students are being blockaded out of classrooms or have the recipients of genocidal how to build a friendship, how to make people feel that you're included, and these are basic social skills like the kind you could be taught at like learning carpentry or tennis or something like that. It's how do you listen well, how do you disagree well, how do you sit with someone who's got depression, how do you sit with someone who's contemplating suicide, how do you sit with someone who disagrees with you fundamentally on issues, and I just try to walk through the basic skills, and in my view, there in any group of people, there are two sorts. There's diminishers, the people who stereotype ignore, they don't ask you questions, they just don't care about you, and then there's another sort of person who are illuminators, and they are curious about you, they respect you, they want to know your life story, and they make you feel lit up and heard, and my goal in writing the book was partly social, because we need these skills to be a decent society, and partly personal. I just want to be better at being an illuminator. I think it comes through in the book. I listened to your interview with Katie Couric and her colleague, who I don't know, and they were trying to get at a question a couple of times, I'm gonna try and land that plane. Why did David Brooks write this book? Well, I'll give you the personal reason. You know, some people, if anybody watched Fiddler on the Roof, you know how warm and huggy Jewish families can be. I grew up in the other kind of Jewish family, and our culture was think Yiddish, act British, so we had love in the home. We just didn't express it. We were not a huggy family. We were all cerebral up here, and then when I was 18, the admissions officers at Columbia, Wesleyan, and Brown decided to actually go to the University of Chicago, which was also a super cerebral place. My favorite thing about Chicago, it's a Baptist school where atheist professors teach Jewish students St. Thomas Aquinas, and so I went into the world of journalism where we just Frederick Buechner once put it, if you cut yourself off from true connection with others, you may save yourself a little pain because you won't be betrayed, but you're cutting yourself off from the holy sources of life itself, and so I just wanted to be better at being intimate with other people. I've heard you now three times, read in your book, heard you tell it to Katie, and heard you tell it to me, the anecdote about the University of Chicago, the anecdote about Yiddish and British, but what is new is you brought up Buechner, and I've never read Buechner. I now know his backstory, which is so tragic. You include it in the book. I did not know he had a tragic backstory that illumines his character for me, and maybe I will go and read it, but you're in interview mode. How many different book interviews have you done? Uh, probably 20 or more. I don't know a lot. You're definitely, I know what that's like, where you want to get through an interview, and you want to make sure that people, you land the point, and I want to get a little bit deeper than that. I want to find out if you're with your self -examination. There's been a David Brooks self -examination underway for a long time, but you have not yet written your book about God. Are you going to go there? Yeah, well, at the end of The Second Mountain, I wrote a book about my spiritual journey, and how I grew up, my phrase was religiously bisexual, so I grew up in a Jewish home, but I went to a church school, and I went to a church camp, so I had the story of Jesus in my God. And then when I was 50 or so, reality seemed porous to me. It seemed like we're not just a bunch of physical molecules. You know, I once, I was in subway in New York City in God's ugliest spot on the face of the earth, and I look around the subway car, and I see all these people, and I decide all these people have souls. There's some piece of them that has no size, weight, color, or shape, but gives them infinite value and dignity, and their souls could be soaring, their souls could be hurting, but all of us have them. And once you have the concept of the soul in your head, it doesn't take long before the concept of God is in your head. And so I went off, especially about 10 years ago, and it's still going on a spiritual journey of just trying to figure out what do I believe? And I learned when you're on a journey like that, Christians give you books, and so I got like 700 books sent to me, only 350 of which were different copies of Christianity by C .S. Lewis. And so that was my journey. And it didn't, it was very slow and gradual. There were some dramatic moments, but not a lot. But I realized, oh, I'm not an atheist anymore, and my heart has opened up to something. And I think this book is the extension of that. When your heart opens up to God, and if every person you meet, you think this person was made in the image of God, I'm looking at somebody so important, Jesus was willing to die for that person, then I've got to show them the respect that God would show them. I've got to try to see them with the eyes that Jesus would see them with. And that's a super high standard that I'm not going to meet, but it's a goal. And Jesus says, even in brutal, tough times, He sees people, He sees the poor. And the main thing He does is Jesus is always asking questions. Somebody asks Him a question, He asks them a question back. And that act of questioning, what you do for a living, that's a show of respect. And that's the doorway to seeing someone. And so to me, I think questions are a moral act that we're phenomenal at when we're kids. And then we get a little worse at it. And I come sometimes leave a party and think that whole time nobody asked me a question. And I've come to think like only 30 % of the people in the world are question askers. And so part of the thing I do in the book is just try to say, here are some generous things to do to ask people questions. It is a, that is the key takeaway, how to ask questions. And this is a skill set. I sent a note this morning to my friend, Jan Janur, who has been running a Christian ministry for 30 years called The Wild Adventure. He wrote a book called Turning Small Talk into Big Talk. And I was reminded of it. Yours is a longer, more complicated examination of the art of asking questions and why you want to do so. It's also, it reminded me a lot of C .S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory. You have never met an ordinary human being. Everyone is an eternal horror, an everlasting splendor, and you believe that and you get to it. And I want to talk about how one gets there, but I want to begin, interestingly enough, with a comment Katie Couric made you. And I listened to that yesterday. I'd finished your book last week and I made my notes last night. And then I listened to Katie Couric interview. She spontaneously brought up her interview with Sarah Palin. Why do you think she did that, David? I like Katie a lot. And she's been a guest on my show. I loved her memoir, at least the first two thirds of it, which was about her younger life, which I thought was fascinating. Why do you think she brought up the Sarah Palin interview? I was also struck by that because I don't think she talks about it enough. I know Katie from various things and I don't think she talks about it all that much. I think it was a time when she was asking questions and somebody just wasn't answering. It was a time when she was having a miscommunication. I imagine that's why she wrote up. Do you have another theory? I do. I think it's because she's been misunderstood because of that question and that she wants people who only know Katie Couric because of that question to know that that's not Katie Couric. And that, to me, it was it made perfect sense she used to be known. And that's the central theme of this. People want to be seen. They want to be known. And if you are known for the wrong thing, in this case, the Katie Couric Sarah Palin interview, you want to you want to get that off your cargo ship, right? You want that unloaded. And I thought, wow, you really the book worked on her. Let me tell you also, on page 134, you talk about face experiments with infants. I want them outlawed. David, what did you think when you read it? I think those are cruel and awful. Tell people about them. Yeah, so babies come out of the womb wanting to be seen. Baby's eyes, they see everything 18 inches away in sharpness. Everything else is kind of blurry because they want to see mom's face. And these experiments that you referred to are called still face experiments. The babies send a bid for attention. And the moms are instructed, don't respond, just be still face. And in the beginning, the babies are uncomfortable. And then after a few seconds, they start writhing around. And five within seconds, they're in total agony, because nobody is seeing them. And I really don't think that's that much different as adults. I think when we're unseen, it is just total agony. We're rendered invisible. And that's what I encounter in my daily life as a reporter. I used to go to the Midwest. I live on the East Coast, but I spent a lot of time in the Midwest. And maybe 10, 15 years ago, once a day, somebody would say, you guys think we're flyover country. In the last five years, I hear that like 10 times a day. And so a lot of just people feel they're invisible. And frankly, that's a little on my profession, the media. When I started as a police reporter in Chicago, we had working class folks in the newsroom. Our reporters, they hadn't gone to college. They were just regular people from Chicago, and they covered crime alongside me. Now, if you go to newsrooms, especially in New York, DC, LA, San Francisco, it's not only everybody went to college, everyone went to the same like 15 elite colleges, and a lot of the same prep schools. So if you're not in this little group, and you look at the national media, and you don't see yourself, it's as if they're telling you your voice doesn't matter. You don't exist. And that's a form of dehumanization that we've allowed to fester in this country. And of course, people are going to lash out. Yeah, I just spent two weeks with really wonderful professionals at NBC preparing for this debate. And at one point, I asked one of my colleagues in this exercise, I don't work for NBC, how many people do you think in this room voted for Trump? And taken aback, they did not answer because the answer is obvious. Nobody. And if if your newsroom is full of 100 % people not only didn't vote for Trump, but actually loathe them, you can't cover the country. It's impossible because you're not seeing the other 50%. And what your book is, I hope the newsroom is distributed as well. We are all about seeing people who have long been marginalized, and that is important. But if you don't see people who are supporting Donald Trump, for whatever reason, you can't cover the news. Let me ask you about this Philip Lewis fellow. I love him, because he finally gave me the courage to teach the do the Dormant Commerce Clause in the 11th Amendment with the confidence that even though my students are terribly bored, they have to know this. Where did you meet Philip Lewis? Because he's talking to teachers. Teachers need to read this book too, if only to be comforted in the fact that every teacher has this experience.

Discerning Hearts - Catholic Podcasts
A highlight from Sunday of the Thirty-Second Week in Ordinary Time A Time of Lectio Divina for the Discerning Heart Podcast
"A time of Lectio Divina for the discerning heart. Sunday of the 32nd week in ordinary time. As you begin, take a deep breath and exhale slowly. For the next few moments, surrender all the cares and concerns of this day to the Lord. Say slowly from your heart, Jesus, I trust in you. You take over. Become aware that he is with you, looking upon you with love, wanting to be heard deep within your heart. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew chapter 25 verses 1 through 13. Jesus told this parable to his disciples. The kingdom of heaven will be like this. Ten bridesmaids took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were sensible. The foolish ones did take their lamps, but they brought no oil, whereas the sensible ones took flasks of oil as well as their lamps. The bridegroom was late and they all grew drowsy and fell asleep. But at midnight there was a cry. The bridegroom is here. Go out and meet him. At this, all those bridesmaids woke up and trimmed their lamps, and the foolish ones said to the sensible ones, Give us some of your oil. Our lamps are going out. But they replied, There may not be enough for us and for you. You had better go to those who sell it and buy some for yourselves. They had gone off to buy it when the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with them to the wedding hall and the door was closed. The other bridesmaids arrived later. Lord, Lord, they said, Open the door for us. But he replied, I tell you solemnly, I do not know you. So stay awake because you do not know either the day or the hour.

ACG - The Best Gaming Podcast
A highlight from Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming! | Mass Effect Teaser Trailers | Legend of Zelda movie | Spiderman is Spiderman #424
"We're live, what's up everybody this is Karrick with ACG and I'm here with Abzi4, the best gaming podcast number... four, two, four, four hundred and twenty four man. How many have you been on? How many podcasts have you been on? Probably. Do you mean like since I became a co -host? Yeah, since you started. Even if you had the old ones. Or the Patreon? Because you were on a bunch in the first, you know, you jumped in. I remember back in 2018 we did a bunch of, we did game awards and shit. We did a bunch of, you know, events and stuff like that. We did a bunch of E3s. I hopped on a bunch of, a couple internationals. The first one I ever did was just a Patreon one, which was really fun. That's when I, do you realize, there's two games I always talk about and it's Near and Those two games were recommended by you in that first Patreon podcast. That's how I found out about them. That's how long you've been doing them? They were in the original Patreon podcast? They're in the original Patreon podcast and then, yeah, before I became a co -host, yeah, I feel like I come on like twenty, thirty times or something and then ever since then it's been every week, right? Yeah, I think you were on probably the most out of, you know, like the people who come on and join. I think you were on the most before and that you and Johnny was on quite a bit, which is why we, I was like a regular, you know, just like coming in sometimes and yep, coming in hot. What's up? Everybody in chat? People are asking about the ads. Are they real? No, those are, I mean, manscraper. Come on, man. Come on, bro. Those ain't real. That would be, that would be ridiculous. Well, you know what? These days. Josh L, $2 Super Chat. Will Gilf Island have microtransactions? Yeah. See, if you know that sometimes YouTubers make games, if I made a game, it would be Gilf Island and it would be a point and click like Leisure Suit Larry, but with just grandmothers, just hockey island, but like Monkey Island, but half Gilf Hot Gilf's. Yeah, be Gilf Island. What's the, so, so do you have like a distinction between Gilf and, and Cougar or, yeah, see, that's, that's the thing. I personally, I think Cougar's just replaced the number of kids you may have had. So Cougar doesn't matter if you've had kids where Gilf is like grandmother, you know. You have to be a grandmother. Yeah. You have to be a grandmother. So even if you were like a 40 year old grandmother, you'd be a Gilf. You would be a Gilf. Yeah. Technically. But again, we're changing all the slang. So who knows? If there's like an 18 year old with a, with a, that has a son or a daughter, she'd be a MILF. That doesn't sit well. She would. It doesn't sit well. It doesn't sit well. It does. It doesn't sit well when you look at like how we've changed. Like the way we. MILF has to be at least 40, you know. Yeah, right. Exactly. Because at some point you're getting into, well, not into creep zone, especially if you're 20 and that person's 20, but it's still, it's a little weird. Right. Yeah. Sup everybody. Thank you for joining us. We're going to be talking about GTA 6 and the announcement of an announcement. I got to tell you, I just did this on Twitter. I just said, okay. Cause they said, you know, we're, we're happy to announce that at some point we'll have an announcement. And I was just like, come on guys. Do you think they're going to do in game awards? They never do that. They don't. They don't. Rockstar doesn't want to share the rock, rockstar is big enough to not share the limelight with E3. Yeah. They could literally just release a YouTube video and it'll be good, man. Right. Yeah. So I don't know, but it could be, it would be a big get for the game awards to have the big first ever get for the game awards, not for rockstar. They don't need that publicity. Exactly. No. In fact, it would be in a way worse because I know a lot of people who aren't going to watch and aren't interested at all in the game awards. So it's like, you know, there'll be parsing out. We even do that sometimes where we parse out trailers after an event. Yeah. So, yeah. But I mean, they said there was going to be an announcement of announcement what for the last six months we've seen leaked data on it. What did you think? Have you seen some of the leaked, um, like our footage? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She has a fucking ass joy dude. I noticed that as well, I was like that's that's a interrupt those pain. Those pants are tight. Yeah. That's all I got from that. But. That's all you got. Not yet. It's not that I didn't. All I saw was like the Ba -Donca game over there. Like I didn't I didn't really. You know, I didn't really want to look at too many leaks. Yeah. Right? On why I just just went on. Um, it was just a game in progress. Like, didn't they go after a leaker? Probably, yeah, yeah, they did. Actually, they did. They did. But you know, with Rockstar, especially, you know that it's like a spoiler for a trailer, you know what I mean? Yeah, you know, like it's, it's just, it's, it's a Rockstar game, dude. It's, you know, doesn't happen that many. Yeah, you don't want to really, um, we'll put the GTA five thing there. Well, um, I think overall, I don't really want to see too much because like we were talking earlier, I asked everybody what they wanted to see from GTA five or GTA six. And dude, I would never want to be a developer. The ideas that everybody came up with were so cross in cahoots, like they wouldn't work together, you know, people saying I want a four by somebody else said I wanted a strategy. Somebody else said I want Anarchy and a deep characterization. The other person said I want deep customization and no, I want to be the character which I get both of those. I understand both of those sides, but it was I was reading it just going, dude, seriously, if you were a dev and you were reading the thought process on that, you'd be like, we're fucked. No one. Dude, imagine, man, being a dev must suck ass because your customers are gamers, man. Yeah, it's got to be the worst. It's got to be rough because they're and there are gamers who are embedded in GTA to the point of being like, yeah. Okay. For example, we had a big discussion yesterday. I said every announcements been about two years, so they show it and then they announce it and I said one of the reasons why I thought this would make sense for another two years is because they've got to tell people quit buying shit in GTA 4 or GTA 5. Sorry. They've got to do the thing where they don't say it, but they're like just so, you know, GTA 6 is coming. So you might want to not spend a hundred K and GTA 5 and shark cards, but it's like I don't quite know, you know, how they're going to handle that how they're going to say online. Did they release something new for shark tard shark tards? Sorry shark cards. I don't know. I don't know. I cuz oh, go ahead. I don't know. I don't know if you'd agree with me on this. So it'd be nice obviously to like transfer stuff, you know what I mean? Yep, but at the same time dude, it's a new game and you already this is the game you chose to spend. It's like, you know, I mean, it's a the games are not like a year apart. You know what I mean? They're like they're like what like 10 years apart, right? It's just a whole new. I mean, I don't see, you know, if they if they were like, hey, we noticed that your account had like this character with that much shit and you know, we're going to give you a little booster going to give you some stuff that be cool for them, but I'm at the same time. I'd be I mean, I haven't paid much, you know, I don't I wonder what how they would feel but I feel like, you know, it wouldn't be a big deal if they were just like, yeah, this is just a new game start start from scratch, right? I don't know if you'd agree with that or not. Yeah, I think it's diminishing. They'll do a diminishing refund where they're like if you had a hundred thousand you get a thousand if you had a million points of things bought you get five thousand, you know, they'll be a percentage maybe but that's why I think the two years make sense. You announce it now you got two years and you're really telling people behind the scenes. Hey, listen, man in two years GTA 6 is going to be at but GTA 5 isn't going to go away. It didn't go away with red. It's not thank God. But yeah, and gta4 didn't go away and gta4 didn't go away. I mean, well, I don't know what there is in GTA. Is there even an online though and gta4 fucking okay. Yeah, I don't think there is but I don't think what gta5 they would close it down. I just think they'll yeah, they might have a diminishing, you know, return kind of thing where they look at a percentage. Yeah, because otherwise dude, it's a lot the Shrike $5 stupid. I just lost my left bullet using my lawnmower to shave my nuts lawyers details, please. Oh for the for the man scraper commercial. Yeah, I think when you look at like GTA 6 man, what I want to see is want to see a larger world in size a bigger city and then bigger out of bounds. I don't need three cities. People are talking about multiple cities. I don't think it needs to be just cause either. I just wouldn't like to because GTA 5 is good, but you can cover GTA 5 pretty quick. I did the walk in the walk and you can walk to one edge the other pretty quickly not quickly and like, you know what I mean in game, you know, sure. Yeah, it's not eight hours. What are you what I'm wondering about as well. Well, it's always Rockstar there, you know, they're going to like push the push it even more. But what I was wondering I always wonder about this Red Dead. They were able to do what they did with the Red Dead because it's not a fully developed world. So every single NPC you me has his own scripting and and you can talk to them and they react and there's so much detail in that and then like encounters that might happen. Now. I'm sure encounters can definitely happen and GTA but I wonder I wonder if they're going to hate have scripting for every sink dude, like there's no way right like it's super populated. I get it's a city. There's no way they're going to script maybe they're going to do some crazy tech voodoo smart shit where they do some like AI scripting, you know, what I mean or something like that, but I don't see them, you know, but but it'd be it'd be awesome man. If GTA on the scale that it is had the same type of detail and and and density has read that that'd be that be insane man. And I always wonder about that. Like like what what direction maybe they're just too completely there two completely different games going two completely different routes, you know what I mean? So I don't know. I mean, it'll be the first ones based on SSD and NVMe. Yeah, so my personal opinion is they'll do a lot of loading behind the scenes NPCs. They'll do what Ubisoft does where they you know, they sample less scripting for the farther out the end of the guy is and so you're up close guys. There is a lot going on but looking at the footage here. There's a lot of places in GTA 5 where there isn't a ton of traffic and people and then depending on the time frame depending on the city. There is a lot I think they can probably do something that's very close to Red Dead plus a lot of cheats. They're going to have a ton of cheats. Yeah, 100 percent Legion had a ton of really good despite anybody's love or hate for Watchdogs Legion. If you watch their GDCs, they had some really smart ways of basically having one person sort of running a group of people and and it was like using their senses instead of everybody's and then informing others and sort of like fear did with its with its AI and stuff. I mean, I'm sure they're going to be able to work it out. It is over. They'll definitely have some cool stuff because of the new consoles. I mean base PS5 base Xbox series S and X they can do a lot with those is this so Red Dead came out 2018. That was almost that was like towards the end of the console life cycle. I believe now we're in the middle of it and it's interesting because even GTA GTA was at the very very they pushed the shit out of those systems. Remember Xbox 360 PS 3 like that was at the very very end the cusp. So it's interesting. This is going to be the first well, maybe I don't know how they usually they announce a game and then and then release it like a couple months later, right? So I'm assuming that it's going to be released 2024. Well, all GTA's have had two years exactly after announcement. Yeah, I looked my spot. Yeah. Yeah. They delayed GTA 5 by a couple months, but it was okay. Yeah, they so for with like two years to your two years two years and GTA I think for that probably makes sense because it also gives you some room to sort of identify where you are. Also, if you look at the alphas, dude, they're not very good. So we're seeing footage that I assume is somewhat current when people leak it. Yeah, that's got a long ways to go and a long ways in Rockstar terms, of course, is different than everybody else, but they could do it at the end of 2024. But I think more like or sorry, starting in 2025, the end of 2024, but I think it'll be probably end of 2025 or 2026. How Red Dead was released a couple months after, right? Right. A couple months after what? The announcement. Yeah, see that one I didn't track because Red Dead was, Red Dead was leaked many years prior. So I don't know. Yeah, I don't. Yeah. I mean, we've all we and we knew just we know about GTA 6 until today. They didn't announce it, but we knew it was being made too. So it is. And we knew GTA 4 was being made. I'm thinking of the deep dive trailers, you know, when they when they like when they released the Red Dead deep dive. Yeah. When they did like the 20 minute or 30 minute, like this is the game mechanics this way, you'd be that that was close to release. So maybe maybe they did like a teaser way before for sure. I mean, I'm excited whenever it could come out tomorrow and I would play it, it come out in two years and I could play it come out four years and I play it. I do also think that they've talked about not punching down in humor and all that stuff, which I think is really weird because that's sort of that's sort of what it's known for and why I think a lot of people there's a little bit of like cathartic kind of, you know, just like some of the stuff you would never say, but these characters say and so you find it funny like a comedian who's edgy or what we know for sure. Yeah, so I want to see how they're going to handle that how they're going to handle characterization of those two characters. Sicilian Gamer, $5 Super Chat thoughts on Boogie documentary. He spent $200 on prostitutes instead of his mortgage. Oh, God. What is Boogie? Boogie has been on a spiral since who's for a while now. Is Boogie the fat guy? He's heavyset and he did a lot of Xbox stuff. He did. I think he had like he was one guy from Xbox come over. Yeah. It was known for his like character that likes to drink a lot of I think Mountain Dew as you drink Mountain Dew. Francis. Francis. Flipping up the table thing. That shit, that shit. But then he went into like this whole rabbit hole of depression and I don't know. I think he's mentally unwell or something. So yeah, I don't know what's going on with that. Yeah. I personally would just say I don't like documentaries on people anyway, like everybody's personal life like everybody loves to pretend they're perfect in the real world. No one is. For sure. Never met anybody in my life and I mean that's what I did for you. Instagram filters. Instagram filter of life, right? So it's like I just don't care and I would never watch it like. You know there are like full on studios that would that would like that's where like there's full on studios and I know that like some of my some I have like friends who are Instagram like you know e -girls and shit and they tell me like they take they take a picture in Instagram like they're on they're in a private jet or like on the boat with that's all fake. Yeah, it's all that's all fake. Yeah. Yeah, it's all fake. It's it's yeah. Yeah here there's a guy who rents out his jet for Instagram models. So he'll rent out the jet. Yeah, they're coming to the tarmac take photos. Yeah. Yeah, and literally literally there's there's a lot of a lot of jet owners or speedboat owners or boats or yachts or whatever they say people just want to go there take videos with them. Like like fucking opening champagne and shit and ruining dirtying up their whole oh God the world. Yeah, I hate it. Number one says Red Dead 2 reveal was also two years prior to release. So yeah, you were probably thinking of those deep dives. I don't track that too much. I only do with GTA.

Simply Bitcoin
A highlight from Taiwan's Next Embracing Bitcoin?! | EP 863
"It's all going to zero against Bitcoin. It's going on forever. You're against Bitcoin. You're against freedom. Yo, what's up? We are back. We're back for another episode of Simply Bitcoin. And today is an interesting story. I did have to do some deep dive for this one. So game theory is heating up in China, guys. The first reading of Taiwan's crypto bill passes. And depending on the source, Taiwan might be on the verge of making Bitcoin legal tender January 24th. It almost seems like this is happening. It's almost like it's inevitable. And Taiwan is embracing Bitcoin. And we all know the saga between China, that we know that we won China policy. We've been covering this all year. And we know how many times China banned Bitcoin. They banned mining. We've seen even Taiwan themselves try to ban Bitcoin. But of course, you can't ban Bitcoin. You can only ban yourself from Bitcoin. And even this week, on Mainland, Hong Kong has been mulling over whether they are going to embrace an ETF as well. So it really makes you wonder. And if you go back for a couple episodes, Niko and I went over this, the idea of maybe China is using different proxies to embrace Bitcoin after officially banning Bitcoin. The dip last we saw, I think that was 2021 now, it's all a blur at this point. Some days they're banning it. Some days they're embracing it. Well, it seems like China or Taiwan, forgive me, is about to make Bitcoin legal tender. And remember, one of the IRLs we did, we had a friend come on here and I'm blanking on exactly which one it was. But he said basically that what they mean when they say crypto is really Bitcoin and they do not talk about what they have under their mattress. So whenever you're hearing crypto come out from the Asian countries, from China in particular, remember that they know what we know. It is Bitcoin only. And there's Bitcoin and then there's other cryptos. Anyways, Bitcoin's global game theory chess match is playing out in real time, guys. And as a Bitcoiner, you just love to see it. The Mexican standoff is continuing to get spicier. It's continuing to heat up. And it's going to be very interesting to see which countries get left behind, which countries don't embrace hard money. And also in that same vein, which countries are fighting their citizenry. And as we always say, forcing them to have fun staying poor. Anyways, welcome to Simply Bitcoin. We are your number one source for the peaceful Bitcoin revolution. We cover breaking news, culture and nomadic warfare. We bring on Bitcoiners from all around the world, from the biggest names to the everyday Bitcoiner. We got them all and we will be your guide through the separation of money and state. And of course, I am not here alone, guys. I am here with Dell, the funky hodl sapien. How are you doing this morning, Dell? Good. I'm dandy. I'm chilling, relaxing, moisturized in my own lane, sitting in a 45 gallon tub of lotion right now. It feels pretty luxurious. Absolutely love it. OK, well, Dell, what are we going to cover on the culture today? We're going to cover that you can't really stop the Internet. You can't stop things from happening the way you want it to. I imagine most of the people that come to this channel are interested in Bitcoin surviving. That's my assumption. There might be some people that come pass by like, oh, what's this all about? But I get the impression that the regulars that I see in the chat, you're Roman, you're wine a kiss. Tyler Durden, what I'm not going to try and talk for wine a kiss. He's a he's a he's a strange cat. That one is people that I see in day in and day out. They're people that are they understand Bitcoin to some degree. They like it to some degree. And they're yeah, thumbs up to that Bitcoin thing. But the idea that it could die or shut down is not something that a lot of us think about all that much. We're like, oh, it can't happen. But here's a question for you, Opti. If you were given a challenge, let's say let's say somebody comes along, Michael Saylor, whatever anybody that you know has the money to say, I'm going to give you a million dollar bounty to shut down Bitcoin. Could you do that? You think you could? Not for a million. There's literally a half a trillion dollar bounty on Bitcoin. You got to you got to you got to put those numbers up. Well, like, do you think you could do it at all? Me personally? No. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. And so the idea that there is some individual out there or group of people that can shut it down is preposterous. But yet there's still and we're going to play this clip. People out there that are honestly, they're relatively smart people in many fields and there's a lot of really smart people that don't understand Bitcoin. It's like shut down. Shut down the Internet. What are you going to do? Go in. People, people are concerned about that, Del. That is definitely on people's minds. Well, I get that. But why? Like, tell me how that happens. Like, walk me through exactly how how it how that would work. Like, please. Like, if you can do it, if somebody can do it, I truly as much as I would like to see tomorrow, would like you would like to see somebody shut down Bitcoin. So we're going to be talking about that in the culture. Like, you can't do it. Like, I want you to if you can, if somebody in chat can do that, by all means, go and do it. Because we need to know that that's a vulnerability when we need to know how that could happen. And oh, wow, there's a guy that's in the simply Bitcoin chat that has the ability to go and flip a switch and shut off Bitcoin. That we should know about that. And I mean, that'd be so funny. Someone in the chat just shuts it off. Anyway, anyway, side tangents. I mean, we even see it and we hear this all the time. I hear this all the time when I talk to my normie friends out there. They're like, what if, you know, like in twenty seventeen, it was like, what if China bans Bitcoin? And like they did it and it didn't stop Bitcoin. I am convinced that every three letter agency around the world, that nation states have also tried to attack Bitcoin and they continue to try to attack Bitcoin. But they can't stop this. They cannot stop digital money for the digital world. And even if the even if we got like some weird by chance EMP or something that shut off all of electricity, we will never go back to a time without the Internet. I am fully convinced of that. The Internet is something that that is ubiquitous with the modern world. It put a pause on things. If people talk about that, like, oh, well, what about. OK, well, just imagine if things that are escalating over in the Middle East and then the whole Russia, Ukraine thing, like imagine things really take off. And they detonate a nuke in the atmosphere over every country in the world and all the Internet goes out. What about your Bitcoin then? Like, do you even hear what you're saying? Like, imagine that scenario and the thing that is going to be on people's minds is food, shelter, is my family safe? And then probably after the first 24 hours, where can I get a I'm just going to say it, a hand job where where the sex workers like where where can I go and trade these bullets that have been stocking up for, you know, a little me time with with Old Destiny over there? And I do mean old because she was in the business for a hot minute and she's looking a little more now, but she's got the experience. And that's what you're going to want to go to when times are tough. You're going to want to go to the person that knows how to get you to that happy place. So, yeah, you're going to check in on Destiny and give her some bullets for some fun times. But you're not going to be thinking about Bitcoin. You're not going to be thinking about all my cat pictures and all the trad wives on Twitter talking about how they're grass feeding their goats. No, you're not going to be paying attention to any of that. You're gonna be like, what do I need to survive? That's it. That is that is it. That's all you're going to be paying attention to. So this idea that, oh, what happens to your Bitcoin? It's like, go fuck yourself. What are you talking about? Listen to yourself. Is grandma alive in a nursing home? Because there's no oxygen on. What's your first concern if the nukes go off and there's no Internet Opti? Is it is my note still on? No, it's thinking about people in my local community and can I survive? Exactly. Exactly. All right. Well, this is going to be a spicy one. I can already tell this is going to be a spicy one. Let's get into the show, guys. This time seeds do it yourself kit has everything you need to hammer your seed words into commercial grade titanium plates instead of just writing them on paper. Don't store your generational wealth on paper. Paper is prone to water damage, fire damage. You want to put your generational wealth on one of the strongest metals on planet Earth, titanium. Your words are actually stamped into this metal plate with this hammer and these letter stamps. And once your words are in, they aren't going anywhere. No risk of the plate breaking apart and pieces falling everywhere. Titanium stamp seeds will survive nearly triple the heat produced by a house fire. They're also crush proof, waterproof, non corrosive and time proof. All things that paper is not allowing you to huddle your Bitcoin with peace of mind for the long haul. Stamp your seed on stamp seed. Yeah, the chat. You guys are wild. Love you guys. Anyway, we made this easy for you. Scan the QR code. Make sure your seed phrases backed up on something stronger than just a piece of paper in your sock drawer. Make sure it's backed up on titanium, guys. This is the way scan the QR code. Get yourself a stamp seed kit. And we have been in the talks of getting a simply Bitcoin branded one. But maybe maybe you don't want that OPSEC unfriendly version. But anyways, scan the QR code. Go check it out. Get yourself one. Stamp your seed in titanium. All right, guys. Anyways, we're over here on the numbers. We're at Clark Moody's dashboard. Of course, my favorite number is the block height. We are currently at eight hundred and fifteen thousand eight hundred and eighty six. Take talk next block. Honey, bad you don't care. Blocks keep coming in. We are what? Twenty four thousand one hundred and fourteen blocks away from the halving roughly around April 20th of twenty twenty four. So it's happening in time, guys. We know exactly what's happening with the monetary policy that is Bitcoin. You love to see it. Bitcoin is my stable coin. Bitcoin is stability. Anyways, the current price on Bitcoin is thirty five thousand three hundred and forty dollars per Bitcoin. The Moscow time, a .k .a. how much your fiat dollars worth, a .k .a. how much Bitcoin you can buy for a single U .S. dollar is two thousand eight hundred and thirty cents per dollar. The percentage of total Bitcoin that will ever be issued is ninety three point zero three percent. The market cap and fiat terms of Bitcoin is six hundred and ninety billion dollars or six hundred ninety point three billion dollars. The realized monetary inflation of Bitcoin taking fiat currencies to school is one point seventy four percent. It's going to get cut in half. Well, I think it's going to slowly. Is it going to get cut in half? I think it's going to cut in half. I think that's what the halving does to it. Anyways, Bitcoin versus gold market cap is currently at five point two seven percent. We are only at five point two seven percent of the gold market cap. The hard money gang. We're coming for gold. Gold market cap is ten trillion dollars. Only five percent of that, guys. And you guys are bearish out there. Couldn't be me. Can't relate. Anyways, the total public lightning capacity is five thousand three hundred and five point zero seven BTC. The hash rate has been going absolutely parabolic. Of course, this is just a rough guesstimate of what is going on on the Bitcoin network. But something is happening and people are uploading and turning on a lot of A6. The last 90 days, we are at four hundred and twenty point one exahashes. The pending fees. Oh, my goodness. It's spiking right now. Eleven point four four BTC, at least according to the mempool that Clark Moody is connected to. We've been telling you for a while. You wanted to make sure that you are consolidating your UTXOs because things are going to get crazy. This will probably cool down a little bit. I think I did hear that there's some like ordinal BRC 20 stuff going on right now. Yeah. So that's probably why we're seeing this spike right now in the fee market. So once it gets a little cooler, oops, oops, sorry. It gets a little cooler. Not wrong, though. Yeah, not wrong. Once you once you get a little cooler in the fee market, I suggest you guys take the opportunity to consolidate your UTXOs. Make sure that you have good UTXO hygiene. Anyways. All right, guys, I'm going to connect last night's TTO that I did with CJ. I hope you guys watch that. I do have it up here for you guys to show you that you need to go watch this. And I took a little piece out of there. But here we are. We got Neil Kashkar. And remember who he is. He's the crazy guy that was coming out when we were going through the the, you know, the flu pandemic. And he was telling us that they can print unlimited money. And they clarified that question. And we got the memes of him with crazy eyes, like, wait, so you're telling me you can print unlimited money? And he said, yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you. Well, here he is again. And if you listen to last night's TTO. And you will listen to this this morning. You really start to realize just how detached these quote unquote elites are, how detached the Fed is from reality. You really would ask yourself what is going on. And again, I reference the white paper constantly on here because it's literally in the first paragraph of the white paper. Satoshi was so prescient when it came to this because he saw the fundamental problem of the fiat system. It is its trust based system, inherent trust that you need to just trust that these people know what they're doing. And we're seeing in real time that people still seem to trust them. And if you look at the data. There is no reason to trust them. Anyways, Neel Kashkari in this little video here goes, I'm not seeing a lot of evidence that the economy is weakening. And he discusses market expectations for an interest rate cut by the central bank next year. So let's just listen to him and remember the idea that the only reason the system is continuing to hobble along as it is, is because people out there still believe these people in the suits that they know what is going on. Trust the experts. They know exactly what's going on. Trust the guy in the suit on the television telling you that they have the economy under control, that interest rates are under control, that the Fed knows where we're going. And if you really look at the data, it may be completely different and telling you a different story. Anyways, let's listen to this, guys. You said that people want certainty and that you can't give it to them. And I understand that. But people don't just want certainty. They also want some sort of guiding philosophy. Do you think that Fed Chair Powell has outlined some sort of guiding philosophy on where the bar is to cut rates, on where the bar is to raise them further? Well, I think he's articulated very clearly that we're committed to getting back to 2 % inflation, right? There's been some chatter amongst economists that maybe we should raise the inflation target. I think he's done a great job saying that is not on the table. We're not going to do that. We're going to get inflation back to 2%. And we're going to let the data guide us. We've moved very aggressively. We've made a lot of progress on inflation. We're not done yet, meaning inflation is not back to our target. And if we need to do more, we will. There seems to be a feeling in markets that the bar to cut rates has been lowered over the past week or two weeks. That suddenly, not only are we reaching a pause, and have we seen a peak in the Fed funds rate, but that also the Fed will cut next year, maybe surgically. Neil Dutta is talking about that. He's coming up next. Do you want to push back against that? Do you think that the bar to cut is still just as high as it was? I have no idea where market participants are getting that. There's no discussion amongst me and any of my colleagues about when we're going to start preparing to cut rates. The only thing that's been talked about at all is that at some point, when inflation is well on its way back down, if we didn't back off a little bit, the real rates would be getting tighter and tighter and tighter. And that's real, but that's math. But is there enough weakness currently in the market, in the economy, I should say, to give you that sense at this point? Look at the last GDP print. I mean, does anybody look at that and think, oh my gosh, the economy? For the last 12 months, GDP has been very strong. The labor market continues to be quite robust. Yes, the unemployment rate has ticked up to 3 .9%, but we've also seen a huge surge of labor supply, which is really positive, come online. So I'm looking at this. I'm seeing consumers that are strong. By the way, my airplane that I came here on was 100 % full yesterday. It's going to be 100 % full today. I'm not seeing a lot of evidence that the economy is weakening.

A highlight from Wednesday of the Thirty-First Week in Ordinary Time A Time of Lectio Divina for the Discerning Heart Podcast
"A time of Lectio Divina for the discerning heart. Wednesday of the 31st week in ordinary time. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke chapter 14 verses 25 through 33. Great crowds accompanied Jesus on his way and he turned and spoke to them. If any man comes to me without hating his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple. Anyone who does not carry his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. And indeed, which of you here, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and work out the cost to see if he had enough to complete it? Otherwise, if he laid the foundation and then found himself unable to finish the work, the onlookers would all start making fun of him and say, here is a man who started to build and was unable to finish. Or again, what king marching to war against another king would not first sit down and consider whether with 10 ,000 men he could stand up to the other who advanced against him with 20 ,000? If not, then while the other king was still a long way off, he would send envoys to sue for peace. So in the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions. What word made this passage come alive for you? What did you sense the Lord saying to you? Once more, give the Lord an opportunity to speak to you. Great crowds accompanied Jesus on his way and he turned and spoke to them. If any man comes to me without hating his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple. What did your heart feel as you listened? What did you sense the Lord saying to you? Once more, through him, with him, and in him, listen to the word. Great crowds accompanied Jesus on his way, and he turned and spoke to them. If any man comes to me without hating his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple. What touched your heart in this time of prayer? What did your heart feel as you prayed? What do you hope to carry with you from this time with the Lord? Let us now close with a prayer to the Father that Jesus gave us. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from MASSIVE XRP PUMP! (Ethereum Not Done Yet!)
"Today is a great day to have a new set in crypto. How are we all doing today? It's 11 -6. It's November 6th. It's 11 -32. Sorry. It's 10 -33am. How are we all doing today? We got a new set. We got some new people. This is going to be phenomenal. Look at that lighting down below, folks. It's lovely. I'm loving it. Hey, chat, let us know what you think about it. But guys, we're going to be talking about XRP. Why is XRP pumping? What is going on with Ethereum? Is there more activity? XRP is the crypto market's back is all -coin season starting. Also some huge Bitcoin ETF news as well and Grok AI, the AI that most resembles a caveman's name. But yeah, we got Drew and Kelly. I don't know which way to look. Do I look at the camera? Do I look at chat? Do I look at these two lovely gentlemen? Look me in my eyes. All right. Let's maintain eye contact for the entire show. Love the new set. It looks amazing. Nice. Nice. Okay. A little bit of an echo. Special shout out to our entire team here at Hit Network, BJ, Aaron, and Joel, and Bobby, and Owen. There's so many people who just work tirelessly. If I forgot anybody's name, a lot of you. Love you all. We appreciate how much hard work you do. Really special shout out there. Drew, any message on the beginning of the set? How do you feel about it? Man, it's just - You helped carry some things. Yeah, no, it's nice to have a fresh start. And I mean, this is just, it feels as professional as we act every day. Oh, that's not at all. I mean, I don't know. We bring the heat. So we have a new set up here. It's nice to be able to conversate back and forth with you guys, bounce ideas by each other a little bit more organically as we go through the news. So - Legit, because he DZ being a future Jimmy Kimmel. No, I will never be the CIA's puppet master. Okay. I will never be their puppet. All right. Let's get right into the show here, folks. Guys, let's see if I can share your screen. Make sure you're following us on Discover Crypto. We just put out two phenomenal videos over the weekend. In this Cardano video, I also added it to my pin tweet here, if you want to see it. But I highly recommend you go check it out on YouTube. Get in there, get in the chat, leave a couple of questions, we'll start replying to the videos. I don't know how I'll do it with the next video, working on some top three tips to master the bull run for the first hour that the video's out, we'll go ahead and maybe we'll engage with you. So if you've got any questions, I'll jump in there. Also, we did another video on Jimmy Bitcoin. The heist Bitcoin is stronger than any Bitcoin heist in history, billions of dollars. So it's a really, really good video. I recommend it. He's like the Bitcoin heist meister. He's the heist meister. Yeah, yeah. He's not Heisman, but he's the heist man. All right, folks, make sure you go to hit merch as well. And I think it's time for us to just get right into this Ripple story, folks. Ripple gaining momentum, $850 million, and whale buys push price above 75 cents here. You see it broke out above a critical 65 cents resistance, and now it looks like it's off to the races. So over the last two weeks, crypto whales have been spotted buying XRP aggressively. Not only are the whales buying, they're buying aggressively, folks. As of 2023, the event edges is now the best time to get crypto. You know what? I can see why Bobby's wanting me to move left. I tend to lean to my right. All right, between October 24th and November 6th, the whales, how much XRP did they acquire? 1 billion .26 XRP, folks. And if XRP does say go to $2, $2 .50, even $4, talking about billions of dollars here. So they're bringing their new balances to a new 2023 peak. So we're at a new peak for XRP balances on the whale wallets here. Now there is a big event coming. It's the 2023 edition of Swell Digital Asset Conference in Dubai later this week. It's an invite -only event. So we'll feature keynote speeches and dialogue with some leaders, regulators, and innovators. Now Drew, you're kind of Mr. XRP here. I think you're probably the biggest fan of XRP. The whales are buying. Now are they going to start dumping? No, I mean, we'll always see a little bit of sell pressure, but I think that banks being even just slightly willing to test out XRP and its remittance payment systems and these continuing patterns growth that I see for Ripple in general, I think that things across the world are seeing this. The US still has the gray area, but the rest of the world is feeling ready for it. So I don't think that that'll be on us anytime soon, a big dump. All right. All right. More conspiracy talk. You guys are always on point. No, no, no. We got to get off the rails here. Poor Jimmy. You know what? Poor Jimmy Zong. That's the only Jimmy I like talking about. All right. Here we have the social dominance chart. So this blue line is where people mentioned XRP. So when you see a little bit of spike in social media chatter, oftentimes you're going to see a little bit of a price increase as well. But sometimes social media chatter precludes the pump. Sometimes it's after the pump. They're just, it depends because as a coin doubles in price over a month, people will just start talking about it naturally, even if nothing else is going on. But so here's the social dominance metric is showing the percentage share of a cryptocurrency in comparison to the 50 most talked about projects in the crypto media channels. So they'll just look at keywords, how many TikToks are being made and compare it to the other 49 coins there. But having cleared the resistance at $0 .65, XRP price now faces minimal resistance on the road to $0 .70 as well. So not only that, though, we also have Deaton coming out. He was coming out in favor. So there's a little bit of a settlement with the SEC versus XRP months ago where, hey, programmatic sales, hey, that seems fine. But when you're selling to a hedge fund, that seems bad. So we had one win, we had one loss, and we're saying, so this is like a 50 -50, right? This is like a 50 -50 win -lose. So Deaton's coming out saying it is not 50 -50, it is 90 % win, 10 % loss. So we're looking at more of a 90 -10 ratio here. So here, let's just get his quote out here. In a recent post, he strongly refuted the idea that the result was close to a 50 -50 outcome here. The people who argued that the SEC got a 50 -50 victory in the ripple crates are 100 % right wrong here. I'm still messing around with it. It was more like a 90 -10 in Ripple's favor. If Ripple ends up paying $20 million or less, it's a 99 .9 % legal victory. Did it feel like a 99 .9 % legal victory, Drew? Yeah, I mean, absolutely. A lot of the talk from famously like Pomp when we first got the Ripple case laid out, he's like, oh, you're holding securities, but kind of dancing on the graves of people that held XRP, even in the retail, which I think was just an absolute spit on the face disservice and a to our freedom to transact and to have new systems come about to do those transactions. So seeing even these chunks of wins from XRP and Ripple are massive, massive gains in confidence for people across the world. Now they're looking at this thing and many people are calling it the most regulated crypto on earth just from these recent wins. You brought up gains of confidence. You think I care about the gains of confidence? I don't care about the gains of confidence. I only care about the gains in price. And that's where we're going to go to Kelly here. Kelly, we have some charts here. I don't know if you're looking at XRP, but yeah, 65 cents, 70 cents. Is that all just a facade or is there a real support and resistance happening here? Well, it's throwing it here to the chart. We can see that this is essentially a chart I've been looking at for some time. And interestingly, we have this sort of uptrend parallel channel that on this break to the upside, which is when we have that initial news breaking of the sec the court case stuff that we got this massive pump and essentially rejected right here at a known level that goes all the way back. I mean, this goes all the way back to this base point here, December, 2020. So this is a pretty interesting when the price was going, I was looking at this suggesting, and this is going to be likely turnaround point. We got a stiff rejection off that until we broke down and tested the lower bound here. Got a deviation below. Now why will we have a deviation below is because these smart money people out there, these the people that really understand how to move the markets, they try to do everything they can to trigger those of you and those of me and drew DZ. Everybody that's in this market is subject to emotions. And those that are in control of their emotions and have a sound strategy and risk management doesn't get triggered by this consistently. But those, somebody sold down here cause they thought it was going lower. Oh man. It gave that opportunity for a lower entry for a long, okay. Now we're seeing here, especially where we're at in relationship to the having coming up and we have all this stuff on the horizon about the the IPO for ripple. And we have all these court cases winning into to your point earlier. I don't think they're going to win a hundred percent, but I think that's baked in. I think in the sense that at 99 .8 % or whatever, they're going to have to have some concession not to make Gary Gensler feel like he completely has, you know, a full face of egg on it. So there's going to be some sort of small fine paid or some concession that they have to make, but it's literally just going to be the fee of doing business. We see this also, it's not, it's not the end of the world. We look at you know, traditional banking, they've had $40 billion in fines since 2000 traditional banking. And yet there's, you know, they're able to continue doing business because it's the price of doing business. Now, are these levels that you're talking about? You said 65 cents. Yeah. 65 cents. And then a lot of resistance at 70 cents as well. 65 cents is right here. This previous range high that we broke through. I do think if we come back down, this is a great area. If we're very bullish, this is a great area for price to bounce on. It doesn't mean if we lose this, it's not bullish anymore. In fact, we can come all the way back down here to this horizontal line. That's in perfectly a basically cross section right here to that 60 cents level. This would be a great opportunity for another, you know, still bullish pullback if we come back to this level. Now, if it does continue to run, where is it going to go? Are you going to buy DZ? Are you going to buy on the way up if we get two candles in a row that are still bullish and we break 85 cents, is that a signal for you to buy and prices just running higher? You know, as much as I like candles, I don't like buying wicks. And so just I even when it hurts me, I just I'm averse against buying wicks. Yeah, no, I hear that. And so the point here is if things are running, that's a signal that there's a lot of stuff going on. Let the pullback let the chart come to you in your strategy so you can so you can make a smart buy. Now, let's go ahead, look at Bitcoin, Bitcoin and an interesting sort of channel that it's it's trading here. A lot of people are speculating. Is this going to be a setup for a sort of kind of flopsided bar pattern where the price action actually continues chopping in here only to break down and, you know, to this level? But why is that level important to previous high level that thirty two thousand dollars? Now, whether we continue higher or pullback down there now, at some point, I do think we're going to test below this range that we're in right now. Things are I mean, we see the momentum here is trending down while the price is still slightly turning higher. So there is some signs that we may be having some issue here coming up fairly shortly. I think C90 says the best. We're too far away from the having to not have at least one pullback. I don't know if it's going to start tomorrow. I don't know if it's going to start two months from now, but we're looking at an April twenty twenty four halving date. There's I'm assuming it's going to be much more likely than not in those six, five, six months. We'll experience a pullback now. Everybody want and I just did a video on this on the bit lab morning stream talking about the pump season. It's holidays. Everybody not only has a bias that they wanted to go up because you want to feel happy during the holidays, but there is data out there. There's data out there that shows that on average, November has a thirty seven percent pump to the upside. But that doesn't that doesn't mean every November is a thirty seven percent pump. There are some November's that have been negative. Basically, you've lost value in November. And we can see on this chart right here, this is seasonality. This is Q4. These these yellow bars, horizontal bars. This is Q4. And yes, we had a pump here. But look, we had a dump here, consolidation here, pump here, break down here. So you have to you have to take it into the context of where you're at in the market cycle compared to the halving. So as it stands right now, I do think we very well could get a pump. But look how far we still are from having to me if we do get that pump, I'm going to be looking for an opportunity coming into the halving for still some lower prices to whatever level we pump from pump two. So I would just urge caution. The higher we go, start looking for opportunities for prices on a pullback. All right. Let's say what is the coin you want to get more of during a pullback? I'm just going to say boring Bitcoin. I feel like I don't have enough Bitcoin. So if there is a pullback, I think I'm a scoop up some more bitty. What about you two? I'm going to be going after Cardano next. That's the next big bag. I have too much of it. What about you, Kelly? Well, I'm torn because I mean, look at pull up this chart real quick, because we see dominance is coming into a known zone. Not a carry off. Do you like Natalie and Bruglia? I'm told that's how I was trying to think of the song is that I'm still coming into this zone. Dominance is pulling back. We're seeing a little bit of capital rotate out of Bitcoin. And we also see the Ethereum dominance broke. Everybody wants to see this breaking, thinking every alts are just going to moon. But we still could very well have those alts pull back. So it's still a little bit. Everybody wants this to be an alt season because we're seeing some pretty big gains, you know, also because we're all overexposed in alts. That's why. Yeah. You know, one of those ones, everybody was kind of taking a little doodoo biscuits on was right here. Albert Rand. Everybody was saying they thought it was dead because they're also doing that rebrand. But look at this 45 percent pump. But it's pushing higher. But don't get lost in the bias just because you're feeling good in a green candle. Look for those pullbacks. If I had to pick one, it would be Bitcoin.

But he said to him, there was a man who gave a great banquet, and he invited a large number of people. When the time for the banquet came, he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, come along, everything is ready now. But all the likes started to make excuses. The first said, I have bought a piece of land and must go see it. Please accept my apologies. Another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen and I'm on my way to try them out. Please accept my apologies. Yet another said, I have just got married and so I'm unable to come. The servant returned and reported this to the master. Then the householder in a rage said to his servant, go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in here the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. Sir, said the servant, your orders have been carried out and there is still room. Then the master said to his servant, go to the open roads and hedgerows and force people to come in to make sure my house is full because I tell you, not one of those who are invited shall have a taste of my banquet. What word made this passage come alive for you? What did you sense the Lord saying to you? Once more, give the Lord an opportunity to speak to you. But he said to him, there was a man who gave a great banquet and he invited a large number of people. What touched your heart in this time of prayer? What did your heart feel as you prayed? What do you hope to carry with you from this time with the Lord? Let us now close with the prayer to the father that Jesus gave us. Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not in too temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Simply Bitcoin
A highlight from Michael Saylor: Bitcoin Will 10x From Here | EP 861
"It's all going to zero against Bitcoin. It's going up for everyone. Bitcoin! You're against Bitcoin, you're against freedom. Yeah, welcome to another episode of Simply Bitcoin Live, your number one source for the peaceful Bitcoin revolution, breaking news culture, medic warfare. We will be your guide through the separation of money and state. Michael Saylor, literally saying the quiet part out loud. He's saying basically that Bitcoin will 10x from here. Now there's a couple of things that he said needed to happen in order for that to be achieved. But the important part here is that he didn't just say this on a Twitter spaces, right? With a bunch of anons like listening in. No, no, no. He said this on the legacy corporate media and he said, you know, Bitcoin will 10x from here. These three things happen or a couple of these things happen, 10x from 35k where we are currently sitting is $350 ,000 Bitcoin. That's a really big statement, but at the same time, I think he has the ability to say that because obviously his strategy using Bitcoin as an alternative to holding dollars on his balance sheet clearly has worked. But what are those three things that he said needed to happen? There needed to be a change in the accounting rules, the FASB accounting rules. Check that off the list that happened. That was a big deal when that news broke. The other thing he said needed to happen was that large banks needed to have the ability to Bitcoin custody for their institutional clients. Check that off the list. Multiple banks in the United States and Europe are applying for licenses in order to do that. And then the third thing he said needed to happen, which was the approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF. So those three things have happened on Twitter spaces, which he didn't say this on the legacy corporate media. He said if those three things happen, we would be going to $5 million per coin. He wasn't as bullish on the legacy corporate media, but he still said 10x, which is a huge, huge jump from where we are now. So anyways, I thought that was super noteworthy. And I think that, guys, we are in the beginning of the next bull cycle. We're in the first, you know, first innings of it. I think we all feel it. We had a little bit of a tease when the price of Bitcoin went from $27 ,000 to $35 ,000. I think it touched $26 ,000, and now it's been kind of hovering around this area. That was a massive candle, right? What was that, like $5 ,000, $6 ,000, $7 ,000 in a day or two? All of Bitcoin and Twitter was losing their minds. If you've never experienced a full bull market cycle, that was a tease of what is to come. Strap in, hold on, don't trade, stay humble, stack sat, stay solvent, because we still have about, you know, a year and a half, two years of this bull cycle left. And my intuition is telling me it's going to be a little bit crazy this year. There has never been a time in Bitcoin's history where the amount of Bitcoin on exchanges, it continues to go lower. And that wasn't the case last cycle. It was trending up for a while. Now it's trending down. The hash rate continues to make all time highs. The hash rate represents the estimated amount of computational power actively mining the Bitcoin network, theoretically making it more secure, making it more difficult to attack. Right. So theoretically, the higher the value proposition, in my opinion. So anyways, it looks like all the stars and planets are aligning, but I want to bring up Opti to talk to him about this, because I think a lot of us are, you know, specifically the class of 2017, 2018. I think a lot of us have PTSD from the last cycle just because it was a bit of a tease, bro. It was a bit of a tease. A lot of people had this expectation that Bitcoin was going to hit one hundred K and it fell way short of that. And I think American HODL had this great threat over the weekend. I was just about to mention it. Yeah. So he says bias is a mother effer. Last bull, we had two blind, we had two major blind spots, one one hundred one hundred K guarantee, two higher lows. In my opinion, the big blind spot, this bull is diminishing returns. Many will sell far too much, far too soon. Imagine selling one hundred K only to watch it explode to five hundred K shortly after pain. Right. And one thing, wait, literally attacking Nico love to see it. Yeah. American HODL. It's good. It's good. It's good because that was like the mainstream consensus. The mainstream consensus was one hundred K guaranteed. And I think a lot of people were let down because of that. And now I think a lot of people have PTSD. A lot of people got like, you know, disillusioned, so to speak. And I think people are expecting, you know, diminishing returns. That's what I've said. And I think that there is going to be some type of diminishing returns. But I also think that if the mainstream consensus is, you know, we're only going to reach one hundred K, one hundred twenty K, one hundred thirty K Bitcoin, you know, Bitcoin tends to do the thing that everyone least expects, you know, so I would be pleasantly surprised.

What Bitcoin Did
A highlight from Bitcoin vs the Infinite Money Printer with Luke Gromen
"They're not going to cut the entitlements. They're going to print the money. And they're going to print the money with oil at 90. They're going to print the money with Bitcoin at 35 ,000. They're going to print the money. They're going to print the money. Happy Monday. How are you all doing? Did you have a good weekend? I did. OK. Real Bedford. They won on the weekend and were top of the league. So that is Real Bedford men and Real Bedford ladies both at the top of their respective league. What a start to the season. We've both got massive cup games this weekend. Get anywhere near Bedford and you want to come down, especially on Saturday, because before the men's game at 12 o 'clock, we've got a meet up. And I'm going to be joined by Robert Breedlove. So please do come down to Bedford. Come down to McMullen Park, enjoy some football, enjoy some Bitcoin, and hang out with the man Breedlove himself. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the massive legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack. And today, we've got macro genius Luke Gorman back on the show. Now Luke is one of our absolute favorites here at WBD. Me, Danny, and producer Ben all love Luke, and he brought the fire this episode. We get into the infinite money printer, the bond market getting crushed, inflation, and social unrest in the US. We covered the lot. I know you're going to love this one, but if you've got any questions about this, any feedback, anything else, please do hit me up. It's hellowhatbitcoindid .com. And if you haven't checked out our event next year in April, Cheat Code, please head over to cheatcode .co .uk to get yourself a ticket. All right, on to the show. Luke, how are you? I'm doing well, Peter. How are you today? Yeah, I'm doing well. I do wonder if we'll ever jump on one of these calls. We do every six to 12 months and be like, yeah, do you know what? The economy's good. The banks are making good decisions. The government's doing well. It has no inflation. The world's all right. That would be nice, you know, we could all go to the beach and have a margarita or something. Yeah, it's a bit weird. It seems like everything's just getting worse. We had planned all these things to talk about and just while Danny was setting up the cameras, I was flicking through, I hate saying X, I'm going to keep it to Twitter. And our mutual friend Linaldin tweeted out that the Treasury expects to borrow nearly 1 .6 trillion in net new debt during the six month period covering this quarter and the next quarter. Is there no limit to how much money they're going to borrow? It seems like the bond market is maybe making the early noises about attempting to restrict what they can borrow without Fed help, but it's really ultimately a function of what's the dollar, what's the bond market doing, what's the dollar doing? It's that classic rates versus currency decision. Can you explain that? Can you walk us through that? What is the bond market saying and explain it so I understand. Sure, so there's sort of the case for most places and then there's a case for the US because where the reserve currency is sure. And you also have this giant offshore dollar borrowing market, right, the euro dollar market, but there's 13 trillion dollars in offshore dollar denominated debt according to the BIS. So means that the implications of that are that as the dollar goes higher, so the Fed raises rates, the dollar goes up, dollar goes up, the foreigners who have borrowed in dollars see their effective borrowing rate go up, the cost of servicing that dollar debt goes up and so they need to somehow raise dollars. Well, they can't print dollars like the Fed, so where do they get their dollars from? Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on which side of it you're on, foreigners have run surpluses against the United States by virtue of how the system works for a long time and particularly in the last 25 to 30 years. And so foreigners have about 18 trillion dollars net, so I don't want to say it's closer to 40 trillion gross, but I think it's 18 trillion dollars net in US dollar assets more than we have of theirs. It's this net international investment position I've talked about. So they have 18 trillion dollars of dollar assets, about seven point six trillion of that are Treasury bonds. And so, yes, they are short dollars, but only to the extent they are unwilling to sell treasuries to get dollars or sell stocks to get dollars to defend. And so what you see is this virtuous or vicious, I guess it is vicious cycle where the dollar goes up. Foreigners are forced to sell treasuries that rates go up as rates go up, the dollar goes up. You wash, rinse, repeat until we either get a calamity or more likely more. The way it's worked really increasingly frequently is the US Treasury market gets dysfunctional. And there's an index we follow called the move index. It's the volatility of the Treasury markets created by a gentleman named Harley Bassman who pointed out once that index goes over 150, the Fed has lost control of the bond market. And October 3rd of this year, it was 141. All of a sudden, everyone and their mother on the Fed came out and said, well, maybe the bond market's done our job for us. Maybe we're done raising rates. They tried jawboning the dollar down. It's it's sort of worked. It's stopped the dollar going up like every day, but it's it hasn't really gotten the dollar down. But that's ultimately as it relates to this situation for the US that as long as the dollar's going up, given this massive offshore dollar denominated debt and this US massive dollar asset net position that foreigners have that they can sell to get dollars. Ultimately, it's sort of all fun and games until the Treasury market loses an eye. And once the Treasury market loses an eye, the volatility gets to a point where it is indicating that the Fed is losing control of the Treasury market. That has been the point over the last four years. Where the Fed steps in and says no mas and at that point, they kind of say, well, it's not QE, we're growing our balance sheet, but it's not QE. You know, Jackson Hole, a couple of guys gave a speech that said it was a presentation. It was, you know, it's possible the Fed might have to do non -monetary policy purchases of treasuries. But it's important that we sort of lay that out that, you know, it's it's almost like, you know, those are those are trading sardines, not eating sardines. It's it's, you know, they're printing money for for market functioning reasons, not for monetary purposing reasons. And the market's not going to care. But that's ultimately that do they want if they want the Treasury market to function really well, given these levels of debt, they need the dollar to be a certain level lower than it is. If they want the dollar here, then they're going to need to restrict how much they're trying to borrow or be willing to lose control of the bond market and the Treasury market specifically. I'd like to pretend like I just understood all of that. I would. I really want to say I pretend I can understood all of that. But but it sounds complicated for the layman like me, the everyday guy, I can't interpret what that means. So basically what it means is unless the Fed prints the money to buy the rate down, then the rates are going to go up on the government until the government until rates ostensibly extremes inform the means. In theory, we the bond market could run away and then all of a sudden. The in theory, you can get to one hundred percent of your revenues in interest expense, nobody, nobody for anything else, in which case either the Fed prints the money or we say, sorry, Ukraine, sorry, Israel, sorry. Everywhere we're bringing our boys home. And in fact, they have to book their own tickets because we don't have the money. And boomers, you're on your own. I know we promised you hip, sneeze, drugs, docs, all that, but sorry. All we have is money is to pay the interest. So this is an issue of supply and demand in bonds. And the big risk is they cannot afford the interest on the debt they have themselves, because what is it like 30? Where are we at now on the debt? Thirty three trillion themselves? Thirty four. High interest rate is so it becomes unaffordable themselves. It's the only way to see that is it's more QE. Yeah, that's exactly I mean, it's ultimately a supply demand problem of of debt versus not just existing debt, new debt, and then also against the supply of balance sheet. Right. There's only so much global private balance sheet that can that the capacity to buy the stuff and continue to hold the old stuff and the balance sheet capacity increases as the dollar goes down, it decreases as the dollar goes up. And ultimately, that balance sheet capacity has repeatedly needed to be supplemented by the Fed's balance sheet, which is infinite. They can buy as much as they want. They will never run out. The flip side is, is that has implications for the dollar because you're effectively printing money to finance deficits. But if they do do that, would it be a case if they're trying to bring down the interest rates and they're using QE to do this? Isn't this just the cycle we've been going through over and over again? This will lead to more inflation and more inflation will lead to them having to raise interest rates again. You know, isn't this just a cycle that gets worse every every time we go through another cycle of this? Yeah, oh, it's to me, it's been a very it's a very I think it is the most important macro cycle. It's a very obvious cycle. In 2014, global central banks stopped growing their holdings of FX reserves. And what that means in plain English is foreign central banks stopped adding to their supply of treasuries. So if if one of your biggest marginal buyers stops buying, somebody else needs to buy. And as that happens, a couple of things, a couple of things happen. Number one, the dollar starts going up and number two, rates start going up. And that can manifest given the omnipresence of the dollar and the centrality of the dollar to the system that shows up a lot at different places. But dollar up rates up. And we've seen this sort of at first we regulated the banks in 2014 into, you know, it's a little bit like the cracks in the dam. Right. So the first crack in the dam is like, OK, foreign central banks are buying the debt anymore. OK, what are we going to have by what we have regulate the banks into doing. So they do that. And that works for a while. And then because the supply of water, which is U .S. federal deficits, just keeps growing and growing and growing. Right. Inevitably, the pressure from the water growing, growing another crack, money market funds. We're going to regulate them into that was 2015, 2016. Again, both of these things crowd out global dollar markets. They send LIBOR short term rates up. Then you end up driving the dollar up to levels that start creating problems around the world. What do we do? We weaken the dollar in 2016. We weaken the dollar in 2017 with the Treasury general account. Basically, the Treasury's checking account starts to inject our liquidity to kind of manage this process. 2018, more cracks, especially now that the Fed's QTing in earnest. We start regulating Trump, regulated U .S. corporate pensions into buying more treasuries, gave him a tax break. OK, now we've got our thumb in the in the in the wall. So and, you know, 2019, we get another crack with repo rate spikes. OK, oh, now the Fed has to step in. Now the Fed's growing their balance sheet. But it's not QE. It's just fixing the fact that repo went from two to eight overnight because there's too much supply of water and not enough demand for the water that kind of holds. That breaks again in March 2020 at the depths of the covid crisis. The Fed does mega QE. They call it QE. OK, leads to inflation. 2022, we're going to start backing off, we're going to tighten. They get, you know, whatever they really start getting aggressive in March, April of really tightening. And by September, the UK gilt market blows up. Uh oh. They all get together in Washington in October of 2022. And they give Janet Yellen, what we used to call on the desk, a hey MF 'er conversation and Yellen comes back and runs on the TGA. The dollar goes down 15 percent, buys time. Another, you know, so it's just this you it is a constant cycle that started 10 years ago, but it keeps getting faster and faster. Right. That 2014, we regulate the banks. We worry about it again to like 2015, 16 with money markets. And even then, you know, you didn't have to worry about the the dollar was not too high in that case till 2016, 2017 and had to be addressed. Then it was already end of 2018. The Fed had to stop raising rates. Then it was September 2019. Then you kind of covid sort of screwed up the pacing of it in terms of of getting a clean apples to apples read. But since then, it's accelerated, it's September 2019, you had March 2020, you had September as soon as they started raising rates, March 20 or September 2022, March 2023, September 20 or October 2023. Now, it just it's getting faster and faster. And so, yeah, it is really it fundamentally the problem is very simple, way too much U .S. deficits, not enough global private sector balance sheet unless the Fed is in there helping to buy this stuff of printed money. That's at the end of the day, that's it. That's the problem. Is it essentially paying off your credit cards with a new credit card? Absolutely. While the rates going up on it, if the Fed does step in and start buying bonds in that way, does the U .S. just turn into Japan? Japan? No, we turned into Argentina. Japan, Japan is. Night and day different than the United States in this situation, right, so Japan is a net international investment position, remember, so I said we have foreigners own 65 percent, that 18 trillion, 65 percent of US GDP. So the U .S. net international investment position is negative. Sixty five percent of US GDP. Japan's is positive. Sixty percent. So for starters, when Japan runs into that problem, the first thing they can do is ring, ring, ring, hey, Washington, it's Japan. Those dollar assets we have to the tune of 60 percent of of our GDP, we want to start selling five percent a year because we need to finance our our fiscal deficit of three percent a year and do two percent of stimulus. And they can do that for a long, long time. That's number one. Number two, they run a current account surplus, right, their trade surplus. So they are running the surpluses on the current account versus us running deficits. We need number three. OK, the deficits we're running, the twin deficits historically have been foreign financed. They have financed internally. So you can run you if you're financing internally as Japan, deflation is an option you're when you're financing internally. Right. Because now you can pay your people, you know, zero percent interest on long term bonds because the cost of living is fear and deflation. Your cost of living is falling. Living standards are rising politically. That works. You cannot do that when you're in the United States. If you're financing externally, you start running deflation as a twin deficit. You get into a debt spiral. Your debt pile gets bigger and bigger and bigger nonlinearly every year. And pretty soon you run into debt credibility issues. You also, as Japan, do not have to provide most of your defense because your friends, the United States, have provided it for most of the last 80 years. We have to provide our own defense and that defense appears to be getting much more expensive by the minute. And then lastly, the United States is very heterogeneous in population. And Japan is very homogeneous in population. So it's a lot easier to sort of get people to sort of, you know, go along to get along and take one for the team. Culturally, there's much more of a willingness to take one for the team. I think their government has probably all in all done probably a better job of maintaining their credibility or maybe losing their credibility less fast than ours has with its domestic populace, maybe a better way of putting it. And so when you roll those things together, but especially the net international investment position, the current account, you know, Japan can say ring ring Washington send us our money. We need it to finance ourselves. And that throws that, you know, sell treasuries. We're going to bring back the dollars and defend the yen with those by selling dollars and buying yen. And they can do that for a while. They have 60 percent of GDP in that area. There is no there is no ring ring for the U .S. The ring ring. They don't call anybody overseas. The ring ring is, hey, Fed, start printing again. And when you say when they have to do that again, whenever that is, because they're going to have to do that again. Yeah, then that's why it gets much more into an Argentina like dynamic. And as I've said, Argentina with U .S. characteristics, not Japan is what is going to be the outcome. I was out in Argentina recently, was it three or four months ago, Danny? And I made a documentary while I was there about inflation. And one of the interesting things about being in Argentina is if you're certainly in the middle class, you have access to dollar products, whether it's cash dollars or digital dollars or crypto dollars or U .S. equities or U .S. bonds, you have access to dollars to mitigate against inflation. And most people just get rid of their peso and get some kind of dollar products as soon as possible. But if if you're an American, there is there is no equivalent. I mean, yes, there's gold and yes, there's Bitcoin. And, you know, we've seen this rise in both gold and Bitcoin recently. Perhaps that's it. I mean, is that it? The short answer is yes. You know, you can kind of see right who is who has won over the last 10, 20 years in the U .S., right? It's if you if you own a lot of stocks, you're doing great.

The Bad Crypto Podcast
A highlight from SBF Guilty!
"7 guilty verdicts for Sam Bankman -Fried, Bitcoin ETFs in the future and a happy recovery in crypto prices are all providing the blockchain world with much to discuss. After a couple weeks off, we're back to do the thing we do where we look at top stories and say whatever our brains tell us to say and it'll be super interesting because by the way, Travis is transitioning. More about that in this show. There's no filter, just badness and banter about what's been going on in the crypto world and in our world on this bad news, episode number 701 of the Bad Crypto Podcast. Hey, welcome back to the Bad Crypto Podcast, the show for the crypto curious and the crypto serious. Joel come here. Travis right there. Still your Sir Lords and with you from Puerto Rico, the beautiful island in the Caribbean. How you doing? Doing great. Nice to see you again. Good, sir. You as well. We had a couple weeks off and people are like, are you guys done doing the show? We hit 700 and we're like, done. No, actually we hit that 700th episode and then we were waiting for SBF to get seven indictments and then so he did and then we're like, okay, we can do the show again now that he is going to prison for a long time. Seven the number of perfection. We'll tell you more about what's been going on in our world. But first let's get to the news and tell you what's going on in the crypto world. Timestamp November the 4th, 2023 to 14 p .m. in the afternoon here in Puerto Rico. I know this show is coming out on Sunday, so it might be a little delayed on what you're going to hear here as far as the prices go. But the crypto market cap, according to CoinGecko, is currently $1 .34 trillion Bitcoin, thirty four thousand seven seventy Ethereum eighteen hundred thirty eight dollars BNB two thirty seven XRP sixty one cents Solana forty one dollars. Damn. Why did I sell mine? Cardano thirty two cents and Dogecoin almost at seven cents. The crypto markets have taken a bounce back. Sir Lord Travis, you know what? And one of the things that I am transitioning is I'm selling my home and moving back to the States. And this home is the selling process is taking forever, dude, but I wanted to start selling it. Bitcoin was like at sixteen eight when I decided to sell it in in January. I was like, dude, I thought this house was going to sell quickly. And I was like, I want to get some of that sixteen seventeen thousand dollar Bitcoin might sell us some bitch and then process and this and that in Puerto Rico. And now Bitcoin is freaking thirty, almost thirty five thousand dollars, dude. Like I missed out on doubling of my money right there, which sucks about that. There are. So I just I just want you all know, I want crypto to do I want Bitcoin to go down like about ten grand. I want to I'd like to see twenty five K again so I could snag more of that. I'm sorry to interrupt this show, this broadcast to slap Travis Rice in the head. Yeah, because the rest of us, I mean, yes, I want you to have cheap Bitcoin. But, you know, if this is just the beginning of a bull run, that means that there are lots of opportunities. Remember, our previous high was sixty nine thousand. And most people are expecting us to blow by into six figures this time around. And so we can analyze, you know, what's happening in that world and all of what's driving it. I thought maybe we take a look and just see who are the big winners right now. We mix. Don't know what it is, but it's up 66 percent this week. Well, that's what that's what a deejay does whenever they have a list. They do a we mix. Yeah, we. Yeah.

Discerning Hearts - Catholic Podcasts
A highlight from Sunday of the Thirty-First Week in Ordinary Time A Time of Lectio Divina for the Discerning Heart Podcast
"A time of Lectio Divina for the discerning heart. The 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time. As you begin, take a deep breath and exhale slowly. For the next few moments, surrender all the cares and concerns of this day to the Lord. Say slowly from your heart, Jesus, I trust in you, you take over. Become aware that he is with you, looking upon you with love, wanting to be heard deep within your heart. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 23 verses 1 through 12. Addressing the people and his disciples, Jesus said, The scribes and the Pharisees occupy the chair of Moses. You must therefore do what they tell you and listen to what they say, but do not be guided by what they do, since they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men's shoulders. But will they lift a finger to move them? Not they. Everything they do is done to attract attention, like wearing broader phylacteries. And longer tassels, like wanting to take the place of honor at banquets and the front seats in synagogues, being greeted obsequiously in the market squares and having people call them rabbi. You, however, must not allow yourselves to be called rabbi, since you have only one master and you are all brothers. You must call no one on earth your father, since you have only one father and he is in heaven. Nor must you allow yourselves to be called teachers, for you have only one teacher, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will be exalted. What word made this passage come alive for you? What did you sense the Lord saying to you? Once more, give the Lord an opportunity to speak to you. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. The Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. The Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. The Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. The Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Amen.

It's very interesting How the media treated this guy leading up to it all throughout the whole thing. They love this guy. He came out of nowhere He looked like he lived under an overpass and and then he was there darling I we got a very good clip of what what's his name? Oh leery what stop listening to these people? They are absolute morons and I think we're coming to a conclusion. Maybe the CDC will pick this up but maybe there may be a connection between degenerative mental illness and Prolonged use of shit coins. Is that five point eleven percent? Barely at five percent of the gold market cap and that is ten trillion dollars guys And you guys are you guys are bearish out there couldn't be me can't relate Anyways, the total public lightning capacity is at five thousand three hundred and six point nine nine BTC The hash rate the last 90 days is at four hundred and fifteen point four exit hatches the pending fees Wow Okay, yesterday was at one point nine today is at three point nine Oh for Bitcoin currently sitting in the mempool that Clark Moody dashboard is reading and then of course blocks to having We're at twenty four thousand eight hundred and sixty two and as of today the having estimate is the mean number April 20th 2024 let's let's hope we mean that into reality anyways guys As we were telling you yesterday We've been covering it constantly on this show the theme of You know yesterday we talked about the flight to quality. We talked about the bond market. We talked about inflation numbers we've talked about corporate press covering Bitcoin in favorable light or rather even in unfavorable light, but it does seem like we are crossing the Rubicon into mainstream consciousness and moving forward if you are in Financial markets financial media you will have to talk about Bitcoin and I say it all the time, you know Look, we're just youtubers. We're just Bitcoiners. We're just everyday Bitcoiners that happen to make a show We just cover what's going on in the world. So We realize that maybe what we say about Bitcoin doesn't hit as hard as when a billionaire rocket scientist Talks about the same things we're talking about or rather maybe we need to wear suits So we seem like we're more authority figures or maybe one day we'll be on the television and then now that will give us some Sense of legitimacy. Personally, I love it when everything in crypto is a winner. It don't get no sexier than that. And look at Chainlink up fifty two percent for the month. Good lord. And check it out. Coin market cap percent in just under one point three trillion with about forty five billion in volume in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin dominance pulled back a little bit, currently at fifty two point seven percent, and the ether dominance in the 16 percentage range for the first time I have ever seen that I could recall. It's currently at sixteen point nine percent as Bitcoin dominance continues to outpace the rest of the market, especially Ethereum. And checking out the top one hundred crypto gainers of the past twenty four hours for chain up fourteen and a half percent trading at three dollars and twenty cent and Oasis Network up twelve percent trading at six point two cents, followed by the trust wallet token up almost twelve percent trading at a dollar twenty three and checking out crypto bubbles so we can see the top gainers for the past week. But as we can see on the crypto bubbles on your screen, we got a lot of gainers overall. That means the market cap is pumping and a rising tide rises all ships and checking out the crypto greed and fear index. We're currently rated a sixty five in greed. Yesterday was a seventy two last week, a seventy and last month a forty nine, which is neutral. So there you have it, my fam. What's your thoughts on the current Bitcoin price action? Let me know. Are you pumped up for Moomvember? I sure as hell am. Let's dive into our Bitcoin technical analysis for the day. Check out the charts with a Bitcoin price action is likely to go next. Bitcoin broke below thirty five G's baby after the November 2nd Wall Street open, as analysis warned of overheated derivatives. As you know, derivatives are financial tools of financial destruction. Yeah, for real. Now Bitcoin under does the post fed gains. We're currently tinkering just under that thirty five thousand, which is now back at a resistance. The highs had come on the back of the encouraging language from Jay Powell, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, who in a speech suggested the interest rate hikes might soon end. Now, the Fed opted not to change the rates at the latest meeting on the Federal Open Market Committee, which was November 1st quoting their press release. Recent indicators suggest the economic activity expanded at a strong pace. In the third quarter, job gains have moderated since earlier in the year, but remain strong and the unemployment rate has remained low. Inflation remains elevated and accompanying press release stated. They also shared here that the U .S. banking system is sound and resilient. Sure it is. Tighter financial and credit conditions for households and businesses are likely to weigh on economic activity, hiring and inflation. The extent of these effects remain uncertain. The committee remains highly attentive to inflation risk. We all know they're full of ish, right, to say the least. And quoting crypto analyst, Bitcoin breaks out, reaches a new yearly high, which is currently just shy of 36 G's. Now, not a massive breakout, but as long as we say above 34 .8, which we currently are, the next target is 36 .5 to 37 ,000. And the altcoins will follow after, which is typically what seems to go down. Now, down over a thousand from its highs. Bitcoin was worrying some with derivative markets, particularly in the focus, quoting Charles Edwards at Capriole Investments. All Bitcoin derivatives markets are overheated at present. This captures the perps, futures and options. Stay safe out there. And also, we have reacting popular trader school agreed that arguing it was now the spot market to charge of saving the Bitcoin price strength, as he shares here, something to be aware of when sizing up positions currently, when derivatives get hot. This puts increasing focus on spot market to support the current prices and the trend. That's right. In his own analysis, we also had material indicators concluding caution should be applied to the current Bitcoin trading environment, meaning expect more volatility ahead and uploading the snapshot of liquidity on the Bitcoin order book for the largest global exchange, Binance. It warned support levels were apt to disappear quickly. A form of a rug pull. So you have been warned. Newcomer support gaining liquidity at this time lay at both 34 and 33 .5. So there you have it, fam. Again, how many of you are currently bullish on that? King crypto. And with that being shared, now let's discuss our next story of the day. The latest from Michael Saylor. He was recently interviewed on the news and shared some very positive sentiment in the Bitcoin market. Also, he has been a dollar cost averaging and stacking stats. This week, the Bitcoin price came within a hair of thirty six. I think we hit like thirty five nine ninety during our watch party before abruptly reversing and correcting to thirty four to fifty. But after nearly a 30 percent run over the past month, it is natural for the price to cool off as some traders take profit and market participants evaluate whether or not the catalyst for the rally remain valid. Now, despite the intraday price action, which saw almost five percent drawdown, a number of analysts remain bullish on Bitcoin naturally, and some expect another gamma squeeze. If the Bitcoin price manages to push through the thirty six three hundred level, we're only like four hundred dollars off of that right now. Just FYI, permables like MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor appear unbothered by the whipsaw price action. And on November 1st, MicroStrategy announced the October purchase of one hundred and fifty five more Bitcoin for five point three million. As the outlines here in October, MicroStrategy acquired additional one hundred and fifty five BTC for five point three million bucks, now holding one hundred and fifty eight thousand four hundred BTC like, whoa, and what's the most mind boggling? Saylor didn't even get into Bitcoin until twenty twenty. So it goes to show you someone can come here in twenty twenty three and become an even bigger whale than Michael Saylor. In fact, the likes of the Black Rocks of the world put Michael Saylor to shame because we're talking about mega mega mega whales on a massive scale. And when asked about the upcoming Bitcoin having during an interview on Squawk Box, here's what he had to share. Most of the natural sellers of Bitcoin in the market right now are Bitcoin miners and they have to sell to cover their electricity bills and capital costs and retire their debt. That's about a billion dollars per month worth of selling into the market. The protocol forces that to be cut in half as of next April or late April. And he also says, so you're going to see twelve billion bucks of natural selling per year converted to six billion of natural selling a year and at the same time as things like the spot ETFs increase the demand for Bitcoin. So that's why all of us are fairly bullish over the next 12 months. How many of you are bullish? Let me know. Demand is going to increase and supply is going to contract. And this is fairly unprecedented in the history of Wall Street. That's what's up now is a pretty ideal entry point for Bitcoin, according to Saylor. Also, he was recently interviewed and I actually transcribed this video clip when he was speaking on Squawk on the street. And I feel this is very relevant. Here's what Saylor says for the industry to move to the next level. We need to migrate to adult supervision. We're going to need the big banks to become the crypto custodians. We're going to need Wall Street to take a role and we need to rationalize away from the one hundred thousand crypto tokens. You know, the yo yo coins that people are manipulating to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is an asset without an issuer. It is the one universally recognized protocol that is a commodity in the space. And so when banks on Wall Street and responsible custodians are managing Bitcoin and the industry takes its eyes away from all the shiny little tokens that have distracted and demolish shareholder value, I think the industry moves to the next level and we 10x from here. Now, what's another 10x from the current price action we're talking about roughly? What is that? Three hundred and fifty thousand dollars per BTC. Send it and let's frickin go. Also quoting him here, I think the liabilities or the early crypto cowboys, the crypto tokens, which are unregistered securities, the unreliable crypto custodians for the industry to move to the next level. We're going to need to migrate to adult super vision. And I shared with you the rest of that quote. So there you have it. Let me know if you agree or disagree with the one and only giga Chad Michael Saylor. Next story of the day. This is breaking news. SBF has been found guilty in all seven fraudulent charges. Yeah, this is wild. Yeah, here we go. I'm going to read all this to you. Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman Freed was found guilty of all seven charges by a jury in his criminal trial in New York after about four hours of deliberations, meaning it didn't take long. Bankman Freed was found guilty of two counts of wire fraud, two counts of wire fraud conspiracy, one count of securities fraud, one count of commodities fraud conspiracy and one count of money laundering conspiracy. Good Lord. That's a lot of charges and it's just getting started. He'll be back in court in March to continue with some more charges to probably get guilty of. We'll return to the court for sentences by New York District Judge Lewis Kaplan March 28th. So that's the date is right before the having. Government prosecutors will recommend a sentence, but Judge Kaplan will have the final say. Now, Bankman Freed's crimes each carry a maximum sentence of between five and 20 years in prison with the wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy carrying a maximum of 20 years sentence in a press conference outside the court, the New York Southern District U .S. Attorney Damian Williams called Bankman Freed's crimes a multibillion dollar scheme designed to make him the king of crypto, right? The Michael Jordan of crypto, the Warren Buffett of crypto and of one the biggest financial frauds in American history, Bankman Freed's attorney Mark Cohen said in a statement, we respect the jury's decision, but we are very disappointed with the result. Naturally, Mr. Bankman Freed maintains his innocence and will continue to vigorously fight the charges against him. Anyone here in the chat. We have over 200 people in the live. Anyone believe he is innocent? I am just curious if there's any outliers out there. Anyways, other key FTF execs, including former Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison, FTX co -founder Gary Wang and former engineering head Nishad Singh have all pleaded guilty to various charges and work with the government to testify against Bankman Freed in the five week trial. Now, Bankman Freed had pleaded not guilty to all the charges. And during his trial, he took the stand to maintain his innocence against the best wishes of his lawyers who told him to shut the what up, just saying, and marking the FTX November 2022 collapse as a number of big mistakes I made. He denied any wrongdoing in the FTX relationship with Alameda, attempting to distance himself from key decisions, which we all know is not true, according to the testimonies of their execs, Bankman Freed pinned the blame on Gary Wang for creating a function that allowed Alameda to trade funds on FTX that it didn't have and claimed he wasn't entirely sure what happened. Oh, I don't know what happened with Alameda's line of credit, which ballooned to billions in the collapsing crypto market of 2022. In his testimony, he also blamed Caroline Ellison for not focusing on risk management. How are you going to blame your ex? That's just why. Anyways, he didn't believe he defrauded FTX customers by taking over eight billion worth of their funds. Instead, he framed it as Alameda just borrowing from the exchange. Yeah, borrowing from investors without their permission is called stealing. I just wanted to point that one out. Now, Max Kaiser responded to this attorney who spoke out and he said, this is tough talk when it comes to the minor league, the drug Adderall ish coiner like SPF, but where's all the bravado when Jamie, the tapeworm diamond, the best the CEO, JP Morgan Chase, gets caught manipulating markets and defrauding the public again or the next crooked Warren Buffett bailout? You talk a good game, but you're no different than SPF. And I think Max makes some excellent points. The big dogs get away with this all the time, of course, but clearly there's levels to this ish, if you know what I mean. Now, what are your thoughts surrounding this case? How do you think this will likely continue to play out in March as they continue with the court trial facing more charges he's up against? Let me know, fam. I appreciate that. I got some very bullish predictions to share with you. In fact, I'm going to be sharing with you the top five Bitcoin price predictions for twenty, twenty four and beyond. Bitcoin continues to circle its highest levels in 18 months. Again, the annual high for the year is currently almost thirty six thousand dollars, but let's dive right into the predictions. First and foremost, Matrix Port predicts forty five thousand within two months. So two months from November would mean January. I could definitely see Bitcoin hitting forty, fifty thousand easy peasy before the halving. But let me know your thoughts. Now, that prediction came from Matrix Port, the crypto trading firm founded by Jihan Wu, himself a founder, a Bitcoin mining giant Bitmain in a blog post in late October. Matrix Port doubled down on a forty five thousand year end price targets. That's the Christmas target. Let's go, Santa, which is initially revealed in January. It was based on a handful of in -house models with Matrix Port also successfully predicting Bitcoin's October gains. Quitting them here, Bitcoin is breaking above the July thirty one five resistance showing that forty five is achievable by the year's end. And again, I think that's a very doable target. But let me know your thoughts. The next prediction comes from Bitcoin. They say new all time high pre halving. I also agree with that, especially if we get the ETF approval. I would anticipate above and beyond sixty nine thousand before the April twenty twenty four halving, but that's only if you know what I mean. We'll see how this plays out. The halving is a watershed moment. We all know the blocks of subsidies get cut in half for the miners in September. Bitcoin stated Bitcoin would surpass its current sixty nine thousand peak before April of twenty twenty four. Now they shared here, no, Bitcoin is not going to top before the halving. Yes, it's going to reach a new all time high before the halving. No, Bitcoin is not going to one hundred and sixty G's because the magnitude of every pullback is large. This means it'll peak after the halving in twenty twenty four. And yes, the target price is around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. I love that. That's right in alignment with Max Keiser's short term target of two hundred and twenty thousand. Now, they also shared this chart. Both the all time high and the post halving two hundred and fifty thousand target came courtesy of the Elliott Wave theory charting, which we cover commonly here in the show with Bitcoin mimicking the behavior from the previous cycles. And you can see their estimation of how the Bitcoin price is likely to rise is coming directly from Bitcoin. Now, Bitcoin did, however, make room for a total of four pullbacks. As outlined in this chart, you can see one, two, three, four. Before we hit the peak at five, quoting them here, there will be one pullback before breaking to a new all time high, followed by another pullback at around one hundred and twenty five thousand. Additionally, there will be two more pullbacks after the halving, which are not demonstrated here. Now for the next one, three Bitcoin price models, one hundred and thirty thousand dollar target zone. That's right. Let's freaking go. Quoting CryptoCon here, I'm prepared for the lower prices, but the stars are aligning at one hundred and thirty for the Bitcoin this cycle. And the concept also hinges on the halving events and the next peak should come around four years after the sixty nine thousand dollar move in November of twenty twenty one. We all know everything is cyclical and Bitcoin every four years driven by the halving. Now the one million dollar question. How about a one million dollar Bitcoin price target leads us to Kathy Wood of ARK Invest, the CEO and chief investment officer, has joined former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes in doubling down on her seven figure price prediction when this could happen, understandably up for debate. But changing macroeconomic tides have emboldened what remains a daring Bitcoin price prediction. In October, Hayes maintained that the path to a one million dollar coin was in full effect thanks to the macro reality. Now quoting BlockWorks on the Margin podcast right here, this was shared actually on an interview. If people lose faith in the bond market and this fiat artificial construction we have created over the past 80 to 100 years, this global economy and how it has been structured, if we lose confidence in that, then the amount of money that's going to be looking for an alternative is going to be something that we have never seen before. He shared over in an interview and speaking of Kathy Wood, she was just on Bloomberg and here's what she shared when she was asked, what's a better hedge against inflation? Is it Bitcoin or is it gold? And very boldly she said, Bitcoin hands down, hands down is a hedge against both inflation and deflation. Yes, so is gold, but Bitcoin is digital. And if you look at the incremental demand we are going to see, but gold already has its demand. You know, it happened already, right? Bitcoin is new and institutions are barely involved in the young people would much rather prefer to hold Bitcoin than hold gold preach. So it's interesting that both gold and Bitcoin are hedges against deflation, but Bitcoin has been doing better recently preach and Bitcoin naturally will consider outpacing gold. I think it was Max Kaiser who said for every dollar, the Bitcoin price action increases. I'm sorry for every dollar, the gold price increases expect Bitcoin to go up by over $20 meaning it will continue to outpace gold by a factor of 20. Let me know if you agree or disagree fam. And we spoke about Kathy Wood and her a $1 million price prediction. In fact, she even has a bullish case scenario by the year 2030 of Bitcoin hitting $1 .48 million. Keep that in mind. But now let's discuss Arthur Hayes, the BitMEX founder predicting Bitcoin price to rally 2700 % taken us to $1 million per coin. And then we'll dive into the latest updates with the likelihood of the spot Bitcoin ETF being approved this month in November. According to the major asset manager, here we go. BitMEX co -founder Arthur Hayes is doubling down on a prediction. The Bitcoin is destined to reach the seven figure price. Hayes says that a monetary policy tool known as the yield curve control will act as the catalyst for Bitcoin to reach that 1 million Mark, a gain of around 2 ,700 % from the current level. Send it, let's go. Central banks use the yield curve control to influence the longterm interest rate level by buying longterm bonds as much as possible to prevent the rate from rising above the intended target. And according to Hayes, the entire U S government is enabling a loose monetary policy environment. Even as the fed continues tightening. Now the BitMEX founder first predicted seven figure Bitcoin earlier this year in March in that essay, which I covered here on the show. And at the time, he argued that China's loosening of his monetary policy would trigger Bitcoin to explode to $1 million per coin. Hayes also says the decision by the fed mid this week, uh, pause the rate hike interest rate suggests it's time to pump it up, pump, pump it up. And according to the BitMEX founder, the feds decision would trigger other central banks to also ease their monetary policy. Quoting him here over to you, BTC, let's go. I shall increase the pace of my rotation out of treasury bills and into Bitcoin and ish coins. Now that the fed had paused over two meetings, every other central bank has cover to print expect massive stimulus coming from China, Europe and Japan. So there you have it coming directly from crypto Hayes. Just blaze. Let's get it now for the moment you have all been waiting for. Let's dive into our featured story of the day and discuss a Bitcoin ETF being approved this month in November. And what would that mean for the crypto market? Let's break this baby down. We have Steven McClurg, the chief investment officer at Valkyrie investments has put forth a strong indication that a landmark approval from the U S SCC for a spot Bitcoin ETF can transpire by the month's end. Send it and let's go. The approval of the spot ETF is currently one of the biggest factors influencing the Bitcoin price as well as the entire crypto markets trajectory. You can say that again now alongside the financial giants such as black rock, the world's largest asset manager fidelity, which is about half the size of black rock. We got Vanek, we got Invesco, we got Valkyrie, one of the companies at the forefront of the battle with the SCC over the spot ETF. We also have grayscale. Don't forget the GBTC product. We have the firm managing to Bitcoin related ETFs at the moment. Now Valkyrie Bitcoin and ether strategy ETF and the Valkyrie Bitcoin miners ETF with a combined asset value of 51 .1 million at this time. And they also have active filings for spot Bitcoin ETF. Now McClurg, citing the latest amendments to Valkyrie spot, Bitcoin ETF app anticipates the SCC will issue another series of comments within the next weeks, potentially setting the stage for the approval of the 19 before rule changes by the end of the month. Send it quitting him here before anything else happens, we get a second round of comments and I believe we'll probably get those comments in the next one to three weeks. A late November approval likely means a February launch. So note that if we get the green light in November, it means the Bitcoin ETF would likely launch a few months later in February, which would be right in time again for the Bitcoin having. Now he also shared with ETF .com this interview suggesting a timeline for the SCCs response to these crucial amendments. He also argues the SCC can wait until January to ask the applicants to put the final touches on their S one filings. That's the other alternative scenario. Now Nate Geraci, host of the ETF prime pod explain that Valkyrie CIO suggests SCC can approve the 19 B fours exchange rule changes for the spot Bitcoin ETFs by the end of November and then the S one registration statements early next year. These don't have to be approved at the same time, so keep that in mind. Though they need both for the ETFs to begin trading. Now in recent weeks, the SCC has been actively communicating with ETF apps and disclose that the agency is carefully scrutinizing all spot Bitcoin ETF apps. The focal points of the SCCs inquiry have pertained to the comprehensive explanation of various risk disclosures, methodologies concerning index usage and net asset value computations, environmental risk inclusions, as well as detailed insights into custodial practices. Recent amendments to filings by entities such as BlackRock and VanEck have been augmented to eludicate how initial fun seating could be conducted and also note that BlackRock already began seeding their ETF back in October, which was last month. This is something that Larry Fink their CEO has already disclosed. Now because of that, industry experts remain cautiously optimistic. We have Matt Hogan, the CIO of bitwise asset management, highlighting lingering concerns, quitting him here. Market manipulation is still a potential stumbling block. Custody isn't a wrap, so there is still a lot of work to do, he stated. Now the anticipation isn't purely speculative. The man forecast suggests substantial interest. McClurg envisions about 10 billion bucks flowing into these products within the first one to two months post launch. While bitwise projects 50 billion in inflows within the first five years. I think that's extremely conservative. I could see trillions of inflows within five years, but hey, to each their own. Valkyrie revised its spot Bitcoin ETF filing October 30th a few days ago with an S1 registration statement submitted to the SCC outlining the Valkyrie ETF. The proposed fund shares are intended to be listed under the ticker BRRR on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Valkyrie updated their app and a part of a wider trend as several firms have similarly refiled their spot ETF apps signaling a concerted effort toward regulatory compliance and optimism for approval. Bloomberg ETF analyst, James Saferard identified these amendments as positive signals for progress and possible imminent approvals. Let me know which you think will get the green light first from the SCC. We all know it's imminent. We all know it's going to happen, but when is it going to be November? Is it going to be December? Could it be January? Could it be March? Let me know in the live poll we have on the screen. I have some bonus content to share with you before we dive into the live Q and A. This is from jury and Timur. Why is this so relevant? He is the head of macro at fidelity fidelity being a four and a half trillion dollar asset manager. He's the one who predicted a billion dollar Bitcoin price by the year 2038 and here's something he just recently shared. He shares some incredible threads I want to share with you. Bitcoin is volatile, but it's scarcity and adoption curve create the potential for it to be a high powered hedge against monetary shenanigans. I think of it as exponential gold and in this chart it shows you Bitcoin going past $1 .2 million per coin. That's pretty sexy. Gets me excited as he shares here. One of the attributes of Bitcoin is that it's a network asset and as such it's adoption curve has followed the typical S curve shape. We have seen many of the S curves throughout history and he continues here in the thread. The question, where is Bitcoin's journey along that S curve? A network assets value is driven by its adoption curve, so the slope of that curve matters a lot. Makes a good point. And when I first went down this rabbit hole in late 2020 it's adoption curve, which I defined as the number of non -zero addresses was very steep. It resembled the S curve for mobile phones during the 1980s and the 1990s, which was pretty promising. I'm going to read you a few more now. However, as the real rate narrative changed from dovish in 2020 to hawkish in 2022, the adoption curve flattened and it is now closer to the slope of the internet adoption curve from the two thousands and it has not made much progress since 2021. Now we also had some other threads which are very valuable. I'm just going to read the lead part of it with Bitcoin moving up. Once again, will its adoption curve accelerate as it did a few years ago and how does the macro trend on rates affect it? There's some very insightful data. If you want this, check the show notes below the video in the description. I'll include all of this. And he had one more good thread continuing the discussion from the recent thread on Bitcoin. I highly recommend you check this out because again, this is the head of macro over at Fidelity, one of the world's largest asset managers. So there you have it, my crypto fam and don't forget to check out cryptonewsalerts .net for the full premium experience with video and to participate in our live Q and a, and I look forward to seeing you on tomorrow's episode.

Rich, Successful, and Childless With Alex Berenson
"Alex, you have a great piece out and I want to plug your sub stack unreported truth. Everyone should go to his sub stack and support it about birth rates, having kids. What did you learn in the series of this doing this research? So, I mean, this is something as I write in the sub stack that I'm going to come back to because, you know, it's a it's a it's a vital issue. And I mean, you can argue it's the most important issue, right. You know, Elon Musk may want to take us to Mars. But right now, if you look at birth rate trends and it's not just in the U .S. or Europe, it's sort of in every rich country. They're they're low and dropping low, meaning below the replacement rate. So every woman has to has to, on average, have slightly more than two kids or or the population will start to fall. And actually, I remember in January talking to Elon about this and he said, you know, the demographers make the math really complicated, but it's actually quite simple. Look at the number of children who are born and multiply that times eighty five. And, you know, that will give you, if nothing changes, the number of people a country will have in in eighty five years. Right. At the at the end of the average life of a child born today. So a country like Taiwan, Taiwan has about twenty three million people in it. And this year it's going to have about one hundred and thirty thousand children born. So one hundred thirty thousand times eighty five is about 10 million. So what that tells you is if nothing else changes, and the children of Taiwan who are being born today actually have the replacement number of kids in eighty five years from now, Taiwan's population will be less than half of what it is today. And I mean, that's that's really unbelievable. Right. And actually, you know, in South Korea, it's worse in Japan. It's nearly as bad in southern Europe. It's terrible. Northern Europe is a little bit better in terms of the rates, but they're going down there. The U .S. is a little bit better, but we're below replacement. But this is it's not just again, it's not just sort of, quote unquote, white, wealthy countries. It's South America is like these countries that you wouldn't even expect. Like Saudi Arabia, for example, is barely above replacement level. All over the world, people are choosing not to have children. And, you know, you think about think about Japan and Sweden and Australia and Canada and Germany. These are countries that don't necessarily have that much in common, aside from the fact that they're, you know, they're they're they're wealthy. Their cultures are very different. Their attitudes towards women in the workforce are very different. They're, you know, they're their religions are different. Their languages are different. Their ethnicities are different. I mean, one of the things they all have in common, actually, is that they're they're having this stunning trend towards very few kids. So it's it's something that actually crosses cultures. And if you think about, you know, what is the like what is the ultimate biological goal of any organism? It should be to produce, you know, reproduce to get your genes to the next generation. Somehow, something is happening worldwide that is bigger than culture and bigger than what should be our most basic drive to reproduce.

"I think for a lot of women that happens in their mid thirties. Your a lot of us are later. Thirty s maybe if they started a little bit later. But that's kinda fun. It's fun to think about us. Both being kind of you know super cute and hot and arthur. Yeah well as you're talking. I'm remembering okay. So when you have a young toddler babies through young toddlers. You can't wear your hair down most of the time so you had short hair. I had ponytails literally. Pull your hair or your hair will go into your like milky bras situation or your hair's falling out like so finally like my hair could be upon. You're dangling areas yeah exactly so the world's that opened up when you can wear strapless bras or no bras or dangling earrings or have your hair down like it's like all those things get unlocked and for me. Since i had three kids pretty close together. It was really like six years of not doing those things and then the fashions had changed. And i was like oh cool like what what will i wear so yeah i love it. Well now. let's go to the other side. Sarah tell me about your worst. Look post or during motherhood okay At first i wrote in our outline any time. I decided to cut my hair short and that was several times that i tried to do a chin length. Bob because my long hair would bother me and my would go through this process. Where i would think. Well it's always in a ponytail anyway. So why don't i get like a cute layered chin length. Bob that's kinda tussled and i've got the natural wave. It was never cute. And i did it many times actually even before kids. I would do this every few years. It's never cute. I promise i will never do that again. You're hearing bob's really hard. For a lot of people to pull off by the way and a lot of ways and truly short hair like yeah as they hit you at a real weird spot on your face and you have to keep them up and it's a myth. Short hair is low maintenance. I mean it can be but then it doesn't look very good so short hair. That looks cute is just as high maintenance really and so that was always a bad choice but specifically i did it right after having read i cut off. I donated my long ponytail. Cut my hair off. When i was like six weeks. Postpartum wasn't cute but also what happened after read. I had stopped working in an office because they still worked in a corporate job after allegra. And then i decided to stay home after my second baby so i had a really hard time. He's born in june. And i had a really hard time figuring out what my post to baby. Wardrobe was going to be so. I had you know the first few months. I hadn't lost any weight. So i was wearing like ugly maternity shorts and stuff for that summer but then the weather starts to cool down in arizona and like my body is a little bit more like stable. And i'm like what do i even wear a stay at home mom. Like what does the stay at home. Mom where i really. It took probably a year or maybe longer to where. I knew what i wanted to put out in the morning. Do i wear sweats. Like do i look cute. It was just vastly it varied by the day and just like we were talking about earlier. It's almost like if you have a sense of your style. It doesn't matter. What the style is you..
