"A Democrat for the Senate, but maybe I'm going to stick with my Republican governor. So we definitely see people voting for checks and balances throughout each midterm cycle, but that's also one of the reasons that historically the midterms have gone to the party that is opposite the sitting president, which is why we're likely to see at least in the polls so far we're likely to see Republicans taking back the house and potentially taking back the Senate as well. That doesn't seem to be a lot more at stake here simply than just the policy agenda in this particular midterm cycle. You see things like redistricting, you see the election of officials who will be responsible for counting the votes in future election cycles. Have is there a sense that the Republicans have stolen a march on this or have the democratic or has the Democratic Party been as cognizant of that particular threat? Yeah, it's really interesting. I would say that Democrats have been campaigning on this idea of election security. We saw last week President Biden and a huge speech in California talking about the importance of fighting for democracy, fighting back against election chaos. But what's really interesting about that is Mick Mulvaney spoke exclusively to Bloomberg saying that that message might have fallen flat particularly with Republican voters who just aren't as bought in on the idea that democracy is hugely at stake this election cycle, Mick Mulvaney is saying that Republican voters are thinking about day in day out issue. Like you said at the top of the show, it's the economy stupid. Republicans are really focused on inflation, gas prices, grocery prices, day in, day out issues that they can feel in their wallets. And some analysts would say that Democrats haven't done a good enough job on the campaign trail this session, talking about how they can help voters with their economic situations talking about. You know, the positive jobs numbers that we got last week talking about the latest GDP numbers, Democrats didn't necessarily transition over to those talking points quickly enough to catch those voters that are really focused on economy economy economy going into the election today. Well, thank you so much, Matty mills, joining us from Miami. I hope you're able to hit the hay before the polls open a little bit later. That's we're going to be keeping track of that story of course throughout the day on Bloomberg radio and Bloomberg TV. This is ring book Now the paper review on Bloomberg daybreak Europe. "Insane. That's the word. Between two 30 and two 35 within ten minutes of president Trump's tweet thousands of rioters overran the line that the Metropolitan Police forces civil disturbance unit was holding on the west side of the capitol. This was the first time in the history of the Metropolitan Police department that is security line like that had ever been broken. President Trump's conduct that day was so shameful and so outrageous that it prompted numerous members of The White House staff and other Trump appointees to resign. In prior hearings, you've heard deputy national security adviser Matt pottinger and deputy White House press secretary Sarah Matthews explain why they felt compelled to resign on that day. Since then, we've spoken to more high ranking officials, like president Trump's envoy to Northern Ireland and former chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, and transportation secretary Elaine Chao, who resigned after the 6th in protest of Trump's misconduct into dissociate themselves from his role in the violence. Take a listen to what they had to say. I was stunned by violence. And stunned by the president's apparent indifference to the violence. And that was the time for the president presidential I thought he failed at doing it. I thought he'd be failed at any critical time to be a sort of leader that the nation needed. I think the events that the capitol, however, they occurred, were shocking and it was something that as I mentioned in my statement that I could not put aside. And at a particular point, the events were such that it was impossible for me to continue, given my personal values and my philosophy. I came as an immigrant to this country. I believe in this country. I believe in a peaceful transfer of power, I believe in democracy. I was a decision that I made on my own. When security decisions began to arrive at the capitol in the tide turned against the insurrection, president Trump finally gave his painfully belated instruction at four 17 p.m.. So after multiple hours of writing and more than a hundred serious injuries suffered by hour law enforcement officers, the crowd finally began to disperse. Listen carefully to what they said as they decided to leave the capitol. The president's

"The great one. The great one, Mark Levin, dial in now. 877-381-3811. While Mick Mulvaney has had some air breathe back into him by the constipated news network, CNN. It's what I call a CNN. Double M. Apparently, he's still disgruntled. He's asked questions by Brianna keeler. Who's a fake and a fraud? Cut 9 go. How close do you think that person in Trump's orbit would have had to be to know these details about where these documents were? Really, that's a good question. Really close. I didn't even know there was a safe at Mar-a-Lago and I was the chief of staff for 15 months. So this would be someone who was handling things on day to day. How do you know there was a mole? Mick, that newsweek article has been wrong at least in one respect, it said that Garland didn't do anything. And there you are. Buying it hook line and sinker, of course. Maybe there is a mall maybe there isn't. Why don't you say, I don't know if there is a mom. Maybe there is or maybe there isn't. And how do you know? That the documents are identified in the warrant with any degree of specificity. You don't know that either. What a schmuck. Go ahead. So there would be somebody very close inside a president. My guess is there's probably 6 or 8 people who have that kind of information. I don't know the people on the inside circle these days, so I can't give any names of folks who come to mind, but you're instinct, I think, is a good one is that if you know where the safe is and you're certainly kissing her, I guess you really needed a paycheck. Yeah, so your instinct is, what are you doing a bad imitation at Ted Kenny? They got supposed to be from South Carolina. Go ahead. In ten boxes in the basement, you are pretty close to the president. Ten boxes in the basement, hey genius, the FBI was there in June with a subpoena. They negotiated their arrival. They knew the re boxes in the basement and they told them to put another lock on the door apparently according to public reports. In Noah, you don't understand. They had to be yeah, very, very close, 6 to 8 people. I don't know who they are, of course. But the 6 to 8 people. House would they know about what's in the basement? They showed them. They showed them what's in the basement. So we don't know if there's a mole or not. We do know the article is fundamentally false. Fundamentally false. You know, these days, we need to do more to protect our finances, our investments. Our families. To do everything we can to survive inflation. We

"Know what to say about how good this week has been and it's only Thursday still. I mean, it has been blissful. A G and I were talking about it on the podcast yesterday. She's just, you know, Trump's walking around going, I'm innocent, but which one of you has the wire? And then I said, but which one of you is bugged? Yes. Yes, Travis. Oh, we could say something on the safe. Mick Mulvaney was on scene, and this morning. He said that only 6 to 8 people know about that safe and Mar-a-Lago. Oh. Who could it be? Oh my God. It's like a game of clue. It's just getting. It's like mystery date, but better. Now he's going to be sad he wasn't there, Dana, 'cause the Trump lawyer said she saw ten to 15 FBI vehicles, including a rider truck. You know how he loves to pretend to drive the trucks. And drugs are a big trick. Do we have him doing it? I love big drops, Hong Kong. Doesn't he doesn't he always pretend? For photo ops to ride the stop reaching for the wheels, sir, you need to stop reaching for the wheel. Okay, she spoke to Trump while the raid was underway, and he expressed shock about the FBI search. This is massive job done right. Has required more than 1500 pieces of heavy equipment, one of the largest cranes anywhere in the world and look forward to seeing it. I love cranes. I love trucks of all. Not the rider trucks at the FBI. I took your illegal away and yes, this is but you know, the fact that he expressed shocking that this is what Mary Trump said yesterday, I think, is that this is the first time his life he's been without protection of the office of the presidency of the banks of his father. I mean, he's shocked because why wouldn't he be? He's gotten away with everything his entire life. But she's also said and we need to follow it. He's that list of inventory that he said he has. They're going to say they planted something. They were already starting to say that. That's what he's alluding to, and all of these will no one was there. The lawyers weren't there. The FBI agents had full reign. It's coming. So we all need to be prepared that it's coming. Yeah, I would say I was quoting Rachel Bennett offer earlier said, I think what we find at the end of the day is going to make our jaws drop as much as nothing you think nothing would surprise you about Donald Trump. What would be worth hiding and going to prison for for ten months? Jim Jordan seems to think it's golf balls. That's what they took boxes of golf balls and a raincoat. I'm like, he doesn't have a raincoat. He doesn't know how to use a rain umbrellas. So I'm sure that's not what's in the boxes, Jim.

Did you know Joe Biden has cancer? Now Joe Biden never lies. And Joe Biden is as coherent and cogent as ever. How do I know? Because Mick Mulvaney said he would not vote for Trump, he'd support Biden instead. Passively, of course. And everybody knows Mick Mulvaney knows what he's talking about. The mixture. But there he is. Did you know Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation? I didn't even know this. Wasn't either senator there for like 412 years? I think he was. "Would think, by the way, since that decision, that we'd have thousands and thousands and thousands of examples by now. Of women who could not get abortion, who wanted abortion, whether rape, whether incest. Whether health, whether anything. And yet we don't have those examples. You know how they say when Trump talks about for we had, my God, we had 66 lawsuits. And not a single one went for it. That's what the legal analysts tell us. Because they're so smart. We haven't even had 66 examples. Of women. Excuse me. Birthing people. Birthing people who wanted abortions who couldn't get them. We haven't had 66 example. What's with that? What's with that? And what's with mace does the entire purpose of this vote? Was political. They weren't voting on same sex marriage. They weren't voting on interracial marriage. They weren't voting on whether to make it legal or even illegal. They were wasting America's time. Because the Supreme Court specifically said, we're not ruling on that. But clarence Thomas wrote a concurring opinion that none of the other justices agreed with. But all he said was, look, perhaps we should revisit this whole subject of and I'm getting in the weeds because it's necessary. Substantive due process, or some people like to say, substantive due process. What? Substantive due process. Where is that in the constitution? It doesn't exist. Where did it come from? Nowhere? Emanations and penumbras, meaning methane. of the left. For activist judges, they have to concoct things. They have to rewrite the constitution. They have their own little constitutional convention. All clarence Thomas said, ladies and gentlemen. All he said was we should look at this issue of substantive due process. Maybe there's other parts of the constitution. That support our holdings. And perhaps there are. But not this. Oh my God. Clarence Thomas wants to eliminate the right to contraceptives. Did he say that? No. Clarence Thomas wants to eliminate interracial marriage. I guess his own marriage. Is that what he said? No. Clarence Thomas says, let's eliminate same. Is that what he said? No. He didn't say any of it. But it doesn't matter. The facts and the truth do not matter. So the Democrats put on a big, there's a former editor of mine, turned out to be a real jackass. And he's got an increasingly radical, he writes me. You think the Supreme Court will take away same sex marriage and he's in the same sex marriage. I said now, of course not. We'll look at what clarence Thomas wrote. I said I have looked at what clarence Thomas wrote. Look at what Sam Alito wrote, too. Didn't matter. Didn't matter. You see, I've lost my integrity. Also because I defend Trump, and the way he's under attack is to say I've lost my Tiger. He's never lost his. Then I concluded he never had any. Okay, great. But here we are. So why did they vote on this? So they could run ads the Democrats, and the selection cycle. Sang Ernie grabowski, Republican from wherever. Opposes interracial marriage, opposes your right to buy contraceptives. That's what they're going to do. So Nancy mace, that's your name from South Carolina. She's not standing on principle. She's a gutless buffoon. All 47 Republicans who voted that way are gutless. That's the truth. Now, you've got at least two Republican senators one tillis, who says he's going to vote for it, too. And I'm sure he'll make the arguments that the kooks make. Like Nancy mace. If gay couples want to be as happily or miserably married, a strike couples more power to them. I'm gonna vote for this law. Well, they already have a right to be as happy or as miserable as straight couples. Nancy. And I even believe this woman's a lawyer. I don't know. But she really is an operator. She reminds me of Mick Mulvaney. There's another joke. Mick Mulvaney, a CNN Republican. But that for another day. So they voted on this with great fanfare the media's all over. Oh my God. Who voted against it? Who opposes people from different races marrying each other. Clarence Thomas, my God. So you have morons on the view. Like this sunny, what's your name? Sunny hostin. There's nothing sunny about hostin. There's nothing joy about joy. Sonny's not sunny, and joy's not joyous. There are two morons. There's a lot of morons who get law degrees. There's a lot of morons who fail at radio like joy. And Scarborough I might. And Mika. So nobody's taking anything from everybody, even in the Dobbs decision on abortion. Nobody took anything from anybody. So you radical kook marks that should be thrilled. You're still free to kill babies. You're still free to kill babies right up to birth. Now, before I take this break what is it like to abort a baby one week before they're born? You women in particular when you hold that baby after it's born. Is it any more baby? When you're holding it, then a week before,

"And so now they bring in Mick Mulvaney, does CNN and ask them about pat cipollone. Now I don't know pat cipollone well, but I do know him to be a very stand up guy. From my talks with him, which weren't many. He was always very friendly to me. Told he's a good guy. But the purpose for CNN and MSNBC and the Sunday shows is to create, is to create battles between former staffers or current staffers and former staffers. It's to create a narrative. And so when you're a Mulvaney or a bar or a Chris Christie or whomever you are, you know this. These are the people who've tried to destroy you in the past, whether it's Chris Christine as bridge, whether it's Bill Barr and impeachment, whether it's Mulvaney and his incompetence. So here's a perfect example. Cut one go. So you previously predicted that the committee was going to work on getting pats like one of his testimony and that ultimately he was going to show up. And now that is. Now, how hard was that to predict? How hard was that to predict? The only person who can assert executive privilege over what cipollone said. As counsel to the then president is Trump, and he hasn't done it. The only other person who can do it is Biden in order to protect the tradition and the practice of not allowing a White House counsel to testify and this sort of an environment. But Biden is Trump's opponent. So he's not going to. So how hard was that to predict? It wasn't hard at all. So cipollone either appears very subpoenaed. He can't assert executive privilege on his own. Doesn't belong to him. Go ahead. What do you think he's going to offer to the committee? The truth. I know pat, I work very closely with pat for 15 months, actually more than that when I was in The White House in the west wing. And pat will tell the truth. There is no question about it. Will he corroborate what Casey Hutchinson had said? Will he counter what she said? I don't know. But I do know that pets that belonging is an honorable guy and once he puts his hand on that Bible, he will be telling the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help him God. So what is the point of this interview? Do you trust Mark Meadows? That's the point of the interview. Mulvaney now is going to be the demigod who decides which person is trustworthy, but even more witches not. And he has this hate on for Mark Meadows. Go ahead. Do you trust Mark Meadows to tell the truth? If Mark Meadows put his hand on a Bible and said he was going to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing, but the truth, I would be inclined to believe that. I do not believe at this point he's the most credible out of all the witnesses. You asked me a fair question 5 minutes ago, which is if cipollone said X and Cassidy Hutchinson said why I'd want to look at it very, very closely and it would be a close call. If cipollone says X and Mark Meadows says, why? I'm absolutely believe in sip aloni. I just damn it. I think a lot of folks are. Mark seems to have gone through a very dark period. He was apparently according to Cassidy, detached from the job. I don't know if he was having some sort of event where he could not engage. But I think Mark is in a really strange place. That is that is just unbelievable. That marks in a really strange place. That's why he's invited on. They hold up a former chief of staff to attack a subsequent chief of staff

"Resort has decided to change its insensitive name. Is this prudence or another overreaction? Let's discuss it today after four, John Howell double DLS, AMA 90. Bongino golden rule number one, whatever you do. Don't get dead. The dam bongino show. Yep, don't get dead. Any policy that helps you get then. Don't do it. Run from it through the opposite. It's the whole pareto optimization thing. Look it up, right? Any good policy should help at least one person while harming no one? That's the don't get dead rule, put into a economic terms, right? It's a real thing. Pareto optimization. So I'm going to get again to yesterday's juicy Hutchinson. Cassie small a testimony, which is falling apart by the second. Even since I finished the podcast, it's fallen apart even more. Even more, now yeah, Jim Jim's like, it has you. Breitbart has an arc loud that apparently one of the people she said she spoke to when The White House wasn't even there. That's kind of a problem. That's kind of a problem. What do you mean you spoke to him in The White House? Like on your cell phone? No, they take cell phones when you go in there. No, no, I spoke to him in The White House. That's kind of hard. Because he wasn't that way, wait, wait. Was it like the Star Wars the later ones where they have the holograms like in the Jedi chamber and they're all talking to holograms? Was that what you were doing? Did you see Hutchinson? Was she talking to the guy on a hologram? But the marvel movies had that, too, it like that council of international United Nations people. Is there a hologram device? I've been in The White House. I've never seen it. Is that like on the 7th floor? There is no 7 four day. Exactly, that's my point. Where is that? I miss that. So Cassie Smollett is having a real problem. She's having a real problem with this testimony that I really wish like the media folks. Some of whom kind of Jim do you notice it kind of calmed down a little bit, yesterday? A little bit calm down. Some of the media people who are hyping up Cassie swallow as like, my gosh, where were you when you heard this incredible testimony? It was appraised that was not based on genealogy and that he was such a great priest he was a priest even to abraham and it says he is he's a he's a member of an eternal priesthood and he offered the bread and the wine so this is the similarities without kids addict. So this king would also be appraised like mckenzie deck. This promises made to david. About the eternal kingdom his repeated in psalm eighty nine and psalm. one thirty two where god doubles and triples down on this promise that he made so he made the promise to david that that one of his descendants be thrown over the kingdom that would last forever and he goes on to say in psalm. Eighty nine at great length. He says once once for all i swore in my holy place would not lie to david. His seed shall remain forever his perron as the sun before me. So this is after the time of david that the the god is revealing. He says i soar in my holy place. I will not lie to david. I will fulfil this promise. No matter what it looks like and dad's psalm. One thirty two says the same thing Lords tour today. This truth shall not reject it. I shall set upon your one from the fruit of your loins. "Former white house. Chief of staff mick. Mulvaney believes something is different about the president. I wrote a piece in the wall street journal. Six weeks ago saying that. I thought the president would leave in a presidential manner. I really did believe that at the time the stories i told to back that up. We're true. I've seen the president be presidential before and i know that he has the ability to do it. He did it every single day. I don't know what's different if it's different about him. "I mean, it is at this point, January 7th. This is an outgoing administration, however. Some of them were hastened. Some of them definitely were hastened Clearly because of what happened yesterday. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, for example, is stepping down. I don't know if officially, the resignation letter has been sent out yet. But she already released a statement online. Mick Mulvaney is out. Former chief of staff is kind of a big deal. Although currently he doesn't hold a significant role in the current special US on Voy to Northern Island. He was on with the squawk box that called Mike Bail last night. Fleischman outlet until night. Be resigning from that. I just can't. I can't do it. I can't stay. It's a nothing thing. It doesn't affect the outcome. It is an effective transition, but it's It's what I've got right and that's a position I really enjoy doing. You can't do it on by Wouldn't be surprised to see more of my my friends resigned over the course of the next 24 to $4 would be completely understandable if they did. Now, he told CNBC. You know some people who want to leave Who want to leave this administration. But the choosing not to why. If those of those who choose to stay and I have talked to a couple of them are choosing to stay because they are concerned that the president might put someone in to replace them. That could make things even worse. So I don't I'm not condemning those who choose not to resign. I understand that, but I can't stay here. Not after yesterday. You can't look at that yesterday and think I wanna be a part of that. In any way, shape or form. I think there's some real heroes yesterday. Like Mike Pence really proved himself yesterday. T. Oh, that was a historic thing that he did. Toto stand up for the Constitution Now. Well, that's happening. You've got some Democrats. Ah.

"With another video statement last night, a good video statement and naturally is being attacked for the video seven, which is a good and sound and thoughtful in the right words were used inside. Um, I would say, as opposed to the statement from day before yesterday, which was lackluster. We'll just call it lackluster day before yesterday but yesterday came out with a statement would probably would have been better if it had been issued day before yesterday in place of the one that was issued day before yesterday. But but never mind that because he's still being attacked at Bare minimum. Even his friends they're saying too little too late. And by the way, there have been a significant number now of resignations from the from the Trump Administration, not the White House proper necessarily, but from the administration. And we've got Mick Mulvaney, who was, you know close actually counted on special envoy Northern Ireland. At this point, he resigned. Stephanie Grisham, chief of staff to the first lady resigned, met Pottenger, the deputy national security advisor. Some of these, it already resigned while we're on the air yesterday, Um Sara Matthews, Deputy Press secretary resigned. Uh, Ricky Nikita, is it Nikita? I'm gonna go with that has resigned. Might be Nikita. White House Social secretary resigned John Costello, and this is apparently all over the president's conduct of the events on Wednesday. But I'd like to hear from them each individually. The timing certainly would suggest that that is the there's a cause and effect going on here. John Costello, the Commerce Department, the deputy assistant secretary for intelligence and security, he submitted his resignation. Ryan Kelly, who NSC senior director. For European and Russian affairs. He resigned. Betsy DeVos, the edge education secretary, has resigned. She's an interesting woman and her brother is Erik Prince, and I'm right about that. I think that's right. Erik Prince of Blackwater and Z Systems and all that stuff, Great American Patriot and Elaine Chao Elaine Chao, the secretary of the Department of Transportation, has resigned. Also. And I haven't seen a lot of like letters. I'm resigning in protest because of this, But it's being taken that way in. The timing would suggest that that is, in fact, the cost Elaine showers, of course. Also anybody The wife of Senator Mitch McConnell, who is for the moment, at least the majority leader in the United States Senate. And, of course you know the story. You know that this ridiculous story about the Democrats. Dave labeled Mitch McConnell cocaine. Mitch, You're familiar with this right? Cocaine, Mitch and you know, But you know why the cocaine Mitch label, you know, you remember this story, Michael. Michael remembers the story because he's got a memory. Unlike anybody in the news media, you should run a major news organization. Actually, Michael, you should be CEO of shakes his head. I don't think so. See, Elaine Chao is she comes from a very wealthy family. Her father is a very successful businessman. Chinese And, um, any owns, among other things he owns controls many businesses entities. One of them is a global shipping conglomerate. Elaine Chao's father. And as the man who runs this global shipping conglomerate. As you might imagine the ships go around the globe and 11 of the ships. One of the ships was found leaving. Where was it? A port in in South America was on the northern border of South American. I can't remember which port it was, but a lot of cocaine comes out of there. And one ship that inspectors law enforcement went aboard the ship to inspect the ship. And they found that aboard the ship. There was a a container with cocaine that was being smuggled out of the country, and they intercepted that shipment of cocaine and then you know I don't think they arrested anybody. But they took the cocaine. They seize the cocaine. So the left I saw this summer, the Democrats and the media, but I repeat myself. They saw that. That's okay. So wait a minute. What's the connection here? Um, Mr Chow. Welcome, Mr Chow. Because I don't I don't know is his actual name. He He owns a company and they have a lot of ships. And on one of the ships coming out of South America's Somebody tried to smuggle cocaine and his daughter is married to Mitch McConnell. So Mitch McConnell is cocaine. Mitch, right? That's the connection that we have her and that's the kind of stuff that they do on MSNBC. And I'm sure it's been said on CNN and they all laugh up there corrupt, ignorant little sleeves and and pretend that they're doing journalism or something like that. It's pretty amazing, but that's the thing that's the thing with them. Christ. Everyone knows that. In reality. He's just the turtle. Everybody knows that. And I believe it that there is all right. So let's go to Chuck. Because the lane shot she she resigned in all that stuff. Um Now the president and again for people that are joining him. We have no phones We have. It's no lines Friday, no lines Friday because we had no lines to call into because her entire phone system is broke. She is a bit out. She's a broke Now the president, United States and the president's speech last night was What was that about a minute and a half long about a minute and a half? Was it Was it longer than that? Wasn't that one was about two minutes. Okay was about two minutes long and and I can't actually play it all for you comfortably right now, with the clock being what it is, but I could if we went to break early, So why don't we do that and I'm gonna play for you what.
