"29 to 7. To the Michigan wolverines right now, we're going to go down to the locker room with will team and Peyton Thorne. Well, thank you very much, Jason, and Peyton. I don't know how you describe this thing because there were moments when it looked really good then there was some of these other moments. So what do you think? Yeah, absolutely. That describes it pretty well coming in halftime. We probably should have had the lead, honestly. Our defense played fantastic. The whole game, then we got fourth and one fourth inches and 6 yard line. We're able to convert there. Should have had a chance to punch in there before that. And so that would put us at 14. We're seeing a 1413 coming in a half time. Then we go out there in the second half. Defense does a good job again. They held the guys to field rolls all day. In my book, they gave a one touchdown and they're putting an extremely tough situation around the ten. With a special teams, I don't even know what happened on that. You can see it. But then they score there. So for us on offense, you know, we just came out the second half and we didn't execute. We just had some airs here there. At critical times. And it wasn't just one guy, you know, but it was usually one guy on one play. And then, you know, it's a different guy on the next play. Well, all it takes is one guy, most of the time. And that's what's going to do it. But that's all of us. We're all moving in the right direction, or in the same direction. And so there's no finger pointing at all. We're a unit offense and we're a team as an offense defense special teams. And so we got to find ways to be better as a unit. And then it'd be better for our team. I do want you to point to a finger at guyon Coleman for a minute. Those two catches he made back to back that led to the touchdown, how good is he? I've asked you about Jayden Reed, how good is he? How good is Coleman becoming? He's very good. Very talented player. Obviously a dual sport athlete. You see that when he jumps, he goes out for the ball. And there's nobody at his level. I'm yet to see a DB that's able to jump with him. And it's on me to just put the ball where he can make a play. And a lot of times, sometimes that's a jump ball. Sometimes that's a bad shoulder. Those are fairly similar throws. And then in our times, it was past the guy or if he's even with a guy, I'll throw it over the top and then we'll go make a play, but he's doing a really good job with those. His mindset's great. And I'm looking forward to moving forward with him and watching him develop, you know, it's only year two for him, so he's a great player. Well, final question here, getting ready to go to Illinois and put this thing back together. How close do you think you guys are? To put it back together? Yeah, after this one today. Yeah, I think you saw tonight in the first half, you know. Like I said, you know, a play here at play there, we're up at halftime. And you come out in the second half and we have full confidence in the second half. We're going to come out and do what we need to do to get the win. And it's an execute. Didn't execute in the second half too many too many mistakes at critical times and can't have that on the road in a big game like this. And so we'll be working. This whole week to fix those up. But I can guarantee you one thing and I said we're going to keep playing. We're not going to throw the towel. That's not us. That's not Michigan state football. That's not that's not coach Tucker, coach football. I'll never give in and I know my teammates will never give in. So you'll see you'll see a 100% Michigan state next week and we're going to be excited to get out there on the field and play together. Well, Peyton, I appreciate it and hopefully we get the champagne. We can do this again and everybody be smiling a little bit. That's right. Thank you so much, Peyton. Back to you, Jason

"It was a crazy game. And our guys were John and their guys were John and it's going back and forth and there's like 6 minutes up in the game. They give more techs out and the rest they forget it. Forfeit. Game's over. Like this is out of control. And I will never forget their coach. Went up to the official screaming at him, grabbed the ball from took it and just pelted the ref with the ball. And all chaos ensued. I mean, we were like, my mom and dad were there, and we were trying to leave the gym and guys were about to fight, and the police came. But dude, this is the freaking, you know, king would classic. Not a big deal. You thought it was the biggest thing. You thought it was the big thing in the world then. No doubt, but at the same time, you're looking back and you're like, dude, that's some janky, you turn it down into Houston. This is not a Big Ten game on CBS, you know? That's the only situation that I can even think of that is similar to this. Yeah, no. Like you said, listen, it's an embarrassment on college hoops. It's something that we shouldn't really be talking about today, and I'm sure everybody is. Outside of the NBA. Right, and football is over. Now is the time, honestly, if this had happened a month ago? It'd be kind of a blip. Yeah, it'd be more of a blip because everybody would be talking about football. Now, we finally get where people are have put basketball at the forefront in college basketball at the forefront when people say it doesn't matter for ten months of the year. And this happens. And that's not what we need at this point. So I guess some people could argue that no publicity is bad publicity. But it is, it is unfortunate because outside of Steph Curry in 16 threes, this is the biggest story today. I didn't even know he hit 16 threes until you just said it. Well, you're a bad fan then. No, I'm not watching the All-Star Game. I'm not right. I think the new format is good. The last quarter is awesome. Well, yes. It's the greatest pickup game that you will ever watch. Yeah, I think you need to figure that out. I was busy with you. With you on Howard and some other things going on last yesterday. There were some other things that happened. It should have been a nice, easy Sunday of watching the All-Star Game and watching no defense and instead that wasn't what happened. This is an uneducated take. Maybe for the early quarters, but late in the game. We got big, big defense, all right. All right. There you go. Yeah, 'cause dude, I disagree. I disagree, but that's fine. All right, all right. Homo disagrees. He's upset now. So we're going to end the podcast and we'll see you next week on the podcast. Go pout, go pal, will you?.

"They were like 40, 41. They fell. Yeah. So yeah, I want to say they were 44 before the butler game. If you win coast games, you get penalized. I don't quite, I do understand it. I don't agree with it, I guess, is my bigger thing. But Mark Adams, to me, is the clear not clear. But the FrontRunner for coach of the year, I'll give you my other four guys. Barring an implosion, yes. Correct. Correct. I mean, and cool. He's got to be in the equation, especially if they win the big east regular season title. They got three games left. They go to Villanova and one of them. So if they get that one, they went, you know, Tommy Lloyd got to be in the mix. Bruce pearl, to me, got to be in the mix. And Greg gard. Great guards got to be in the mix. Those are my 5 frontrunners right now. For high major national player coaches. I wrote those guys down too and I also had, I put Kelvin Sampson because I think he's had to plug holes and they've kind of stumbled here so I don't think he'll win the award. And I wrote right underway down because the same deal. I mean, the amount of injury that he's dealt with in illness and the fact that they still are in the shape to like ant said be a top four seed and win the Big Ten. But everybody else, Mark Adams the FrontRunner Tommy Lloyd Barry deserving at Cooley Bruce Perot same thing. Yeah, that's a good group of 7, I would say that you could put for that. All right, we're going to end with rob, your biggest under the radar team. What is your team right now? It's just, I don't know. They're dangerous. Whether they can make a final four run and nobody's giving them enough juice, whatever it is. I don't know if it's to that level, but I'm going to say Arkansas. Look at you. You're just you're just trying to rile up their damn fan base against. What do you think? I'm saying that, oh, against you. Sure, yeah. Of course. They won 11 to 12. They beat auburn. I think the fact that they now have concerns about their offense, but I think that in the NCAA tournament they will give themselves a chance with the way they defend and how hard they play. They turn you over, they guard their ass off, have 5 new guys on the team, took some time to gel, but I think that Eric muscleman, and you know how his teams operate. They are always going to compete and play hard. Jalen Williams last 13 games has been really, really good. Average in a double double. I think that they are flying under the radar. And I'm not saying they're going to make a final four, but I do think that I would not want to see them just because boy they're going to fist fight you. They are going to really, really make it tough for you. Yeah, JD note has been awesome. He was awesome last year, even as a freshman. Yeah, now Musk, you know, it's funny. I mean, again, I kind of wrote him off early. I didn't think their talent level was quite good enough, but you know, they didn't beat anybody early. Right. And their schedule is tough here. I think at Florida, Kentucky LSU at Tennessee. They just be Tennessee and the most grinder asking. I think Tennessee's effective effective field goal percentage was like 25%..

"All right, Robbie, let's continue and let's move from, you know, a little player of the year talk and you never gave your actual national player of the year. Mine is Johnny Davis. Who are you going? Yeah, I'm going with John and Davis. I just think you go for 30 against Houston when they're a full strike. That to me is a statement. You go for 37 at Purdue, in macarena. And I guess produce given up some gaudy numbers to a lot of people this year. But I mean, in that setting and I totally agree with what you and aunt were saying where you take him off their team and boy, they are just limited. Underwhelming. Well, Annie's leading the team and point to just rebounds, he's awesome. He's a two way guy. He guards his ass off. He plays hardy competes. Now I will say there are opportunities in the last four or 5 games for other guys to win the award. Kofi could do it. I think he did Adele could do it. You talk about Jay navy. They go head to head in March in Madison. That will be a statement type game again. Keegan Murray is flying to the radar. That dude is a great stud. The Big Ten has elite players, elite players. And guys that I think are going to be taken in the lottery. I think you've got three lottery picks in the Big Ten this year. Ivy, Keegan Murray Johnny Davis, where would you take EJ Liddell? If you're an NBA team, where would you personally take EJ lid? Well, that's a tough question. I probably, I would say 20 to 35, me too. I would think. I mean, I think he's really good. And I think you look at him and I think he's improved offensively. He could still be better garden guards, and that's going to be the biggest thing for him. I don't think he's, I heard someone the other day compare him to Paul Millsap. And I don't think he's as tall as Paul Millsap. Will says more like 6 8 and the EJ is probably more of like 6 5. But boy, he does, man. He gets his butt on you. He can post you. He can drive it. He's shooting it from three wells, so I really think he'll shoot it from three in the NBA too, even with him. And even guard now, rob. And I think he is guarding better. I think there's still room to improve protecting the rim. He has been incredible this year. He had to block some Michigan where you were like, holy shit. This dude is just defending his ass off. So I think that I would say 20 to 35. And that all depend on how does he work out? You know, all that stuff. But I think he's had a great year. And you know what? He is a great example of a guy that said, you know what? I want the NBA feedback and I'm going to take it and I'm going to take it in the most positive manner I can and he has done everything that you would hope. He hasn't proved he can't do anything. He's worked on this game. He Jay Liddell. He's a pro. All right, we're going to do a few kind of not rapid fire, but we'll get through these fairly quick..

"I'll put Keegan at four and I put Jade in that 5 and that's not, although I think Jane is by far the best pro prospect. And I don't think it's close with Johnny Davis at all. I'm with you. Yeah. I don't think it's a common thing as close. Johnny Davis is numbers. How about this against top 50 teams? Good teams. 25.3 points, 8.8 rebounds. He's shooting 41% from three. 53% from the field. I mean, insane in the craziest venue, right? West Lafayette, Bloomington, champagne. He's done it in the most hostile places in America. And he's, again, I've said it, I don't know if you agree, either one of your degree. If you took him off the team, I'm not sure they're an NIT team. I'm not even sure they're good enough to be an NIT team. Without Johnny dips. I mean, just like you take hunter off magician, they're probably down there with Minnesota and Nebraska..

"Why? Why would you be limited to anything? So again, so then he said that said, anticipate the league and Michigan to jointly issue the penalty, meaning that UM can add its own additional games and sanctions. Who said that Quinn, Brennan Quinn? Yes. The Quinn be like this, just like you and me while people like this guy. There you go. Have you ever standing like this? Even in AAU, I was thinking back, have I ever seen two coaches fight or whatever you wouldn't even want to call this? Have a issue or similar I can't think of this even at like the AAU level and you see the craziest shit ever in AU. AAU is wild bro I have seen, I've seen coaches because around here coaches poached like crazy. Like they'll still so many players. So like I've seen, I've seen coaches go at blows in the parking lot. But I haven't seen coaches go. Right, but then you're outside of the whole stack of different teams. I haven't seen dudes get shot, but I've earned plenty of stories of, you know, Gus being pulled in the parking lot. But it's always been outside. It's always been away from the courts, usually away from the kids away from crowds because that's more of a more of a personal matter. And I assume that's AU in high school. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I just think it's so crazy in a Big Ten game. We had two coaches. It's doing this. It's pretty and it's both you want. That's the part that sucks. That's part that sucks, because even when Juan gets his texts, like it's their intense, he earns them. He gets his money for it. He flips quickly. Like, there's no build up with juwan. There's no build up, which is more like a player, right? You're in the flow, you're chilling. He flips. Bad call. Boom. Yeah. I'm going after whoever said that. You know, you're totally right. I've done a couple of games of theirs where he's gotten technical files and boy. It's like, there are no brainers for these officials. You have to give them to him, you know? I totally agree with you. All right, before we let you go, I'm gonna hit you with, we gotta hit you with one basketball question, at least. National player of the year. I'm dying to know your thoughts on this one because. Well, everybody, listen, it's most Big Ten guys. Now I know it is. Let's put Oscar shibe and drew Timmy in the mix because they have to be in the mix. They're at four and 5. And O chai. I know what y'all. Those three non Big Ten players. But I think we can all agree. Johnny Davis,.

"I'll call him in 24 to a 48 hours. It's all good, right? 'cause some dudes, they just don't want to talk right then and there. That's what should have happened. Right. Should have, but you know, then as students, he grabs him, he wants to talk to him. Now you're talking to a grown man who is all of a sudden that just happened two minutes earlier. Yeah. Now they're getting into it now they're talking about it. But it's still, it's you've seen coaches getting get an argument like that through something that happened and all that stuff. But then they actually separate about 15 feet. They separate about 15 feet and Joe crabbing off. I played against them, Robbie played against them. All 6, 7, two. He's probably about two 25 to two 30 now. Big boy. He's a big boy. Yeah. He's so good. He probably remembers the marked urgent thing. He sees guard. He's like, these little baby coaches, you want to step up against a grown man. So he walks up and he's protecting his coach, right? He's protecting his but his coach was already 12 to 15 feet away. He was, there were already players in between them or people in between them. Once he steps up, now I kind of reignite some things and then he pushes jaren falls from Michigan, pushes Terrence Williams from Michigan. If you look at the replay in like slow it down, juwan is like in the back like seeing all of this go down. And that's, I don't even think Joe said anything. Based off of his mouth, I didn't see him say much if anything. People are saying, you said something he said, he was racist. We don't know. No, no. Anyways, yeah, no, no, no. So that's when jawan, right away, like within a second. That's what he reaches over and strikes him. It was a strike. Right? We can all agree that it was a strike, right? Cross the stage, whatever. And that's what all help breaks loose. And then that's when you see guys really start going, you see shrimp chambliss, he kind of got launched into tea will. Williams, and then not sure if Terrence tried to put him down or he got, I'm not sure, but that lift things up. And then as soon as Jacoby needs, laid laid a sucker punch on Terrence Williams, that's what started a melee. That's what started moose and getting into it. That's what started Terrence getting into it. That's what started guys just started throwing blows and that's what came up to well, what started it really what started it is you want Howard, right? I mean, he started without that strike as you call it correctly. None of this other stuff happens, but if Joe also doesn't touch his players as well. Probably true. Because you never touched the other team's players, you only touch your own. Right. And that's kind of a thing. Robbie, if in assisted coach from mischief, came up to you and was hugging you. Like, you don't know this cat unless you were clear to you. Right? Right. So I do agree with you. I think if you're touching another player on another team, that's going to be looked at as a problem, for sure. Especially in that context. Now, contests can change based on what's going on, right? But based on this situation alone, based on this context, that's it. And then I saw someone try to pull a receipt that like juwan called the timeout late when they're up 30 against Purdue at like one 42 or.

"So they're pressing with these high energy players, Greg gard has guys out there who don't deal with that situation. They shouldn't be in the game. As Robbie knows, those are the guys who are pressing the rotational players and practice with 5 B line through like 7 or 8 guys once in a prep against against freaking Clemson, you know? It's like those guys, all they're doing is out there, they're go hard, do the right thing, and be rewarded for that in games like this. So if Joan wants to play the rest of the game like a game, Greg gard has to coast rest of that game like a game because we've seen wild things happen in college basketball. Wild wild things. If they get two or three steals and hit you at 9 straight, 5, 5 point game with what, like four seconds crazy things can happen. So calling the time out there, he still coaching his kids. All right? So you justify that. You justify that. Justify that. For sure. But I do see where Juan's upset because as a player, he took that a little bit too prideful. When I was a coach, he should see, okay, getting their butt beat in front of fans. Yeah. Hey, you know what? I get it. We'll see you next time. The issue one of the biggest issues that I haven't seen brought up is when they went to the handshake line, juwan didn't.

As a Michigan man who played there, but it's not a juwan Howard like apologist. You and I talked about last week when I was doing this story, you know, on former NBA guys coaching in college. And I said, like, my grade for juwan Howard is a B plus and you said to me, flat out, you were like, you might be too generous in your grade because yuan was good in your one, great in year two, and has probably been a little bit disappointing in year three. All right, I didn't bring you on to talk about juwan Howard and his grade, but I want to give people some context to you didn't play for you on. They really don't but i'm still out there in the park. Landside jalen to shoot so every levels the playing field for everybody would you do. Is this all about who plan. And it's all about the weather like you can do it at a time. Where play outdoors isn't going to have a major effect on the trajectory at a ball because that's really what you care about and you care about the integrity of records and percentages and that type of thing but for the most part it's going to happen. I think it's a great idea for it to happen. That's no different than watching collegiate. Tease play night. Football games and hockey teams playing outdoor. But clearly this washington team or maybe they just honestly our worst team they montana. We're about to find out on saturday. Big news for the wolverines ronnie bell star receiver number one receiver out for the entire season. Seems line keeps going up emotionally and maybe i'm just trying to salvage huskies football play-off pick and i just keep picking it against michigan in spite of the fact that they destroyed western michigan taking the huskies plus six and a half. This is a massive bounceback spot for them. And i think losing a number one receiver like that is going to be a bit of a letdown. And maybe it'll take little bit for their their offense figuring out and i think washington is going to be hungry. The same reason that phil steele like the team to make it to the college football players like they have talent. And i think they're going to be up big time for this game. Give me the. Huskies plus six and a half colby. Are you with me. I am with back to back door. Yeah if they can limit dylan morris three. I don't know if he even starts zero touchdowns three interceptions against montana. But if they can just do that. Ronnie bells out michigan struggle with the big play against western michigan. So obviously i think washington jimmy lake head coach. He's a defensive guy. This is going to be a close game to michigan. Wins this but i. I agree with sean. I think washington might get this outright sean. What was the spread mere weeks ago. Well and terrell firm in contributor over and then he's going to be out here in vegas with us. He's throwing it out in the in the youtube chat that this game was minus one and a half for michigan before that montana loss points. It's changed. did they get really five points worse or they didn't they an and if you're gonna learn one thing from us a we like to fade the public. Lots of people betting michigan right but also It again you. You can't turn away from that kind of line movement it. This is a clear spot. Last thing i'll say. Why is this number bumping up against six and a half and not going to seven is they don't want to take that plus seven on your way take six and a half and the other thing to point out is look at like when apps state beat michigan. These teams were. Fcs beats a top twenty five. Preseason top twenty five or eighteen normally those preseason top twenty five teams have a decent season. We'll just kind of barest state like how many people honestly how many college football fans if you ask a college football fans from all over the country. How many of those college football fans could point in montana on a map. Seventy percent interest states for a frame of reference. I don't want to talk a lot of maps mac and have it Burn up in my face. The gm you channel two patti beat virginia tech in blacksburg textile had a good year that year. I don't. I don't wanna talk smack either but i think montana might be state fifty out of our. We got some bonus games to get to but before we do want to shout odds crowd..

"We should ask for a little bit more yield than we think rates should be heading higher the delta variant and its impact on the growth trajectory. The obvious key risk. I do think the afghanistan story is very difficult story on many fronts. But i don't think it's an economic or market problem. Is you know considering the phenomenal history of the michigan wolverines. Their performance over the past few years over the last decade really has been dismal. When are they going to field. A really winning team rj. Just you know. I have to warn you. Matthew is from the state of ohio that you are you higher state fan. Is that what you're saying sir. Well i mean i. I like winning teams. You know. well you know. I used to bristle at these kinds of comments. I have to say that the it's been a little humbling. The michigan football performance of late I would say this. I think that you basically. When hoban came in there were expectations. He was going to get us into the college football championship. You know get into the playoff or whatever iteration on of enron. I'm i i'm going to have to cut you off. Well here in the bloomberg radio. Studio here bloomberg. Hq and european got lots of the cable.

"Know that but overall we still have the overall series lead whatever so but what i wanna do is go through each regular season game and predict. Who's going to win and we'll get like is like the first game. The seasons michigan versus western michigan michigan. Win that one no problem and again. We don't even know who the starting quarterbacks can be. we don't know who's going to be a starter at running back. We don't even know who's gonna be starting wear next year or this coming season for the michigan wolverines. But we won't have. Joe milton a quarterback. He's transferred to tennessee but to open the season at home like michigan to beat western michigan. Then washington goes to michigan. This game last year was supposed to be the first game of the season at washington now michigan gets the benefit of washington going to them. And i like michigan to win that game. I think when you have a michigan team that won will open the season with a strong win at home to michigan to western michigan. Then you get a good match of cross conference matchup between out of conference mashed. Excuse me between washington and michigan. I liked them. Michigan is going to have washington at home in front of the big house. You expect there had a lot of fans with the majority of the fans are all the fans respect. A lot of the fans to be that. Stay for the michigan. Wolverines next northern illinois goes to michigan michigan to win. That game again. Michigan would be three and now to start the season cool. Then rutgers goes to michigan so four. Straight home games for the michigan wolverines. I like michigan to win that game to michigan terrible like horrible weird season last year. Went to rutgers beam in double overtime or something like that. Got the win. So yes. I like michigan to be ruckers at home. Hopefully it's a better outcome but graciano at rutgers is a combination because they tend to be a better team when he's there then. Michigan hits the road to wisconsin wisconsin. 'let us up pretty bad last year at michigan. I don't know how i feel about them. I think misconduct wisconsin's a tough a tough game to win. I'm going to put michigan. Losing that game jess because of the fact that i think michigan might not be tough enough. I mean they'll have four easy winds. And maybe they also momentum maybe the defense is few teams field generals or maybe a good game but going to wisconsin. That'd be tough for them to michigan. Wolverines win that game then going to nebraska. I liked the michigan to go to nebraska. And get that win. I think the brassica with coach frost. It's nebraska's good. They're going to be as good with coach. Frost coast fraud a great gig down..

"Once in a while. Maybe not the last 15 years. But every once in a while, just remember the 2000 and 13 Final 14 and 2000 and 13, national men's swimming champion, the Michigan Wolverines. Hey, Well, thanks, JJ and go along with your point of liking more of the Dominion of players last night. Mike Smith, another Mike. You know Mike are coming back to Michigan. But Mike Smith really playing his best game of the year and putting himself on the map, but Really, Uh, you know, with Michigan playing their best game of the year Him playing his best game of the year. There you go. All right there. It is JJ in Lincoln Park as we continue on here, talking about last night's performance, and then also With the impressive showing, asking you what game comes to mind as the most impressive performance by the Wolverines. Let's go. Back to the phones. Hadley, you're on the Amazon. Well back to back with JJ and myself to most outspoken guys, you probably never heard on the radio back to back. I don't and I was talking to have been just before we came back from your breaking stuff that I said, and, you know, he told me that Jamie and you're taking care of the little kid and I said, Well, I hope with JJ comes on. He doesn't get you know. Good afternoon. Yeah. Least he prepared you for this time? He did. That's a good thing. You know, guys, when you talk about the basketball game last night, we were you were talking about how close it was gonna be stuff like that. And then the other was favored and everything else. I think most of us Michigan fans are just Shocked by the way this team is playing. I mean, I don't know where to start. You know you could start with any of the guys on there. He's just got that team just totally in focus and on, you know, on the money and everything like that. And, uh, I was gonna say doesn't tell me if I'm wrong, But Juwan look like he's been pumping iron lately. He was something he's really looking both lately. Tell you what. He looks good. I don't I don't know about the weights. But whatever he's doing, and, you know, maybe it's the shinobi in 11 and oh, and everything else and Just having that big smile on every you know it. You know, it makes you stay up later die when the team's not playing well and everything, but you know, maybe it's the opposite there when everything's going well, man, you just getting good rest. You're getting up and, you know, can't wait. Can't wait to get out to practice and all those things. Maybe all those things that happened in there for him, Hadley Yeah, I think so. And now this is a good thing about Michigan. So I'm not gonna get all Debbie Downer on you guys I could do the other day. But Sam said this on the show this morning. That's the Michigan basketball team. This was the first time in NC double a history that the team has beaten a ranking, like Michigan is being three ranked teams in a row by 19 or more points. Never been done before. Yeah, that was showed on ESPN last night after the game. Okay, I well, you didn't hear mention, but I talked with me. You guys do their and Jamie. Thanks for having our lady of the big house on Angelique and blood. She straightened the sound on a lot of this stuff. Know that we've been hearing that sort of thing. And, you know, tell her we wish her a happy New Year's to next time you afterwards We'll do that for sure. Hedley Hedley what jumps to mind when we ask you about most impressive performance from a Michigan team. Basketball, football, hockey, baseball, softball, Whatever. Oh, Yes, Dennis. You know there's just so many games and went through my head about that. But Oh, Uh, um, It's just really into t. C no matter what happened in the game, huh? Uh, yeah. You know what you the does sometimes take a little bit time. Then they they started flowing through. You know, the when Michigan won it all in 97, you know, the first game against Colorado? You know, was a fantastic performance where you know they want 27 3 and the defense was flying all over just a couple of years ago, when it was number one. Michigan played Florida down in Dallas. And it was the opener the 2017 opener against Florida. The defense was flying around in that game, too. I was very impressed. That was that was a very impressive performance and sometimes doesn't have to be like a championship year. Don't even have to be a good year just has to be a game where you go out. And you say, Man, that team was impressive today. No, You know, it's just there's just so many games that go through your head. Dennis is it's really hard to pick one because I've seen well know Ugo, you sit back you, John. A couple down is you're listening. And then the next time you call you say, Oh, yeah. There's a couple for you. How about that? Well, I'll give you one right off the bed. I may be wrong on the year, but I thought the most Yes Football game I've ever seen Was that was the Haiti Five games against Iowa that we hit the winning field goal. Like Gillette. I think, 86 you know, that was the first game that I ever went to. That was a great game. No question. Uh, you know when you win it right at the buzzer. Um, yeah. I mean, it could be impressive that way. I love that one. But especially me. Jamie left because he was actually out there on the field. Yeah. Is that the one where you ran on the field to? I was on the field. You're right. Went right down there followed everybody on Right, also real quick about Mike Hart. I'm really happy for that. I think that's so great to have Mike come in and be our running backs coach. We should have had him a long time ago. I think, but Yeah, I'm glad Jim did that way. Got him on our staff now? Because you guys some caller brought that up the other day, And you guys first saw you didn't think he was gonna come. Michigan, But now he has, and I hope you he's going to do well. And I think Jamie is gonna be a special assistant to him or something like that. No, Yes. Yeah, I think so. I think Jamie should be over there. I'm with you on that. He kind of is, you know, football ever? This would be okay. Great job. The great call, all right?.

The Dolphins were confused on what was going on. Flutie receive the snap, dropped the ball and kicked it through the uprights, converting on the first drop kick extra point. Modern NFL history. And today in 7 2001 of the most exciting bowl games ever played. His Boise State beats Oklahoma by a score of 43 42 in overtime game featured a syriza of fantastic finishes 25 unanswered points by Oklahoma to take its first lead with just over a minute remaining team scoring 22 points in the final 1 26 of regulation and 15 points in overtime instead of kicking the extra point to tie the game and send it into a second. Overtime. Boise State risk defeat to go for the two point conversion and the win. They ran another trick play and won the game Now, you know today in sports history on my heart radio I. Heart radio goes one on one with George Strait to discuss how creating music is a part of his Edna. Music is always you know, if I'm making a record, it's the most important thing at that time, And I'm always thinking trying to find song ideas. NFL's Braylon Edwards tells all in new book

"Our next guest had a legendary career at Michigan he was outstanding receiver in the NFL he is the author of a new book in the title really does say it all doing it my way my outspoken life as a Michigan Wolverines NFL receiver and beyond it's a pleasure to welcome to this sporting life the one and only Braylon Edwards Braylon thank you for joining us. the long time it's been a long time since we spoke at an end and as you were dressed in the book Braylon when people think about you they don't just think about your talents as a receiver they don't think about the big games that AC title games or the rose bowls they think about the controversies what you you delve into them in this book why did you want to you know dredge all that stuff up. a lot of times people get attention as they tell their story or what exactly happened so one thing come out is more so with the perception is that the time and then it becomes a story and in all the years you know and that's what it is written in stone so it was a good time for me to be able to tell all the stories and under every story from do you eyes two incidents outside my clothes will arise and people works better there were other things at at playing in those situations but I just sold you know not saying anything but the media dictate that the media the media personnel for markings dictate a on one matter and I got quiet never said anything and those things never get a chance to you know get toggle plus a lot of good things happen to you know there's a lot of philanthropic endeavors that happened a lot happier off the field have a great there are a lot of other things to talk about you know depression bullying when I was a kid so it's a heck of a store and has a lot of things that we can put out there in the book speaking with Braylon Edwards the former Pro Bowl receiver the former Michigan Wolverines star he was the third overall pick in the two thousand five NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns it only your third season in the league Braylon you at twelve hundred eighty nine receiving yards right AT receptions are your pro bowler you had some other good years notably with the jets in twenty ten almost a thousand yards receiving but you're clear didn't go the way you hoped it would go eight and and although he lasted much longer than most last in the NFL you you you were someone who is thought of as a hall of fame talent. if their injuries there are other things that went on what was it like just being caught up in that maelstrom and and not being able to get every ounce of your talents to use every ounce the weight that you would have wished our records right you know a lot of times he says spray Kato where you go online for you were you drafted what can you play for I was not at the Cleveland Browns and United play with injuries and uncertainties and continue with. in your world organizational changes office according to head coach ownership ID with kids go to New York Jets have young quarterback was did it for us but there wasn't a lot of. Aaron it outside there were you going to have success then I had a knee injury San Fran I rushed back to the field to get out there because your Harbaugh's how could a person on and it was the first time I hadn't been in a stable situation you know I got that right is a one year deal there was no stability there was no next year there was no gas I was going to start so when I got hurt when I was starting to try to come back try to rise back needed never was the same a play for Seattle I still feel the nails in quarters on sat I'm way way too young at their target core those that travel more time with jet and two thousand thirteen and Lincoln totally with Michael in the preseason against the Jaguars. it is it was times that I mean I I I will smite curricula definitely connect them when I was a kid the one of those guys. got drafted in the end of the first round to the coat so to the you know to a team that won the cowboys Burgoon a play yard can do more to maybe just have a consistent office right you know it is clear that I had seventeen quarterbacks and and for that reason I remember I remember all those guys no no I mean it's hard to remember all of them but I remember that there were a lot of them yeah I mean it was the with Braylon Edwards and his new book is doing it my way my it's spoken life is a Michigan Wolverine NFL receiver and beyond really before we let you go it's great catching up after all these years but you've been out in the news a little bit recently you're talking about your alma mater talk about your former coach Jim Harbaugh and and the words you've used I think are light years behind that team in Columbus Ohio a lot Ohio state and it's it's everyone's entitled to their opinion and I would never discourage anyone from sharing their opinions especially someone with the standing that you have what makes you say that the other than the fact that Michigan's lost fourteen out of fifteen to Ohio state well for them and that's a great start but United in the in the space of the conversation that was more so long live. as they have the idea of a state trooper who over the last year he started without one which says look from trestle so first we'll start a minor. by my Dennis they're gonna have a quarterback that can run quarterbacks that can pass the ball sort thank you have athletes at the wide receiver position they could take the ball and taunted him call back and have a great run again and I have great uses if you look at the changes over the last eighteen years they all have the same I didn't you know how they're able to have success in order to be a national championship game you have to have the formula is you need a defense that can play and win games defense bill instead but you have to have a quarterback yeah arguably in highland conversation that definitely should be first team all conference and you have to have a running back that is potentially a second round us or in the hive in conversation apply when you look at certain things all have stayed in one of when you watch them play you see a team that you know has the potential to be there at the end of the year we watch Oklahoma we watch the cleanse Alabama Georgia where you are these things you see something bad okay this is this is even ten straight year with a Honda fit yet so you know that we watch miss again you have the same question each year by year who's going to be the quarterback who's going to run the ball on this game hasn't had that yeah all dirt like Lansing Michigan office is that lived in our rabbit I do not around and finished in two thousand twelve two thousand thirteen and before that you know who the other guy you know was listening at the wide receiver play make would like this guy's just it is with the the creme de la creme like he's the one I don't mean to talk about my is usually does our ideas right. nineteen ninety six so what's being said ideas on that that was going to take forty Janes national I mean by light years behind my house they get sick and they stay true lies we've been asking the same question of Michigan there's love the arms of our book let's go the radio because the rates right every year who's the quarterback the quarterback gonna be who's going to be an issue I can always between three guys it's never a guy would never moving the next season of their lives guys come back we're gonna build around him even this year's like say that is in that wires yeah this is what I said okay last year but even if your life is your McAfee gonna be you guys Joe Miller even twenty years ago when one of those guys was named Tom Brady couldn't get the job exactly or did you incident Brady is it US got left cooking the bouldering so it's always a question about the way I received right I have you so those are questions at the major institutions that away those are not the question so I did and that's what I mean by light years I know people eight years I would say in the way. that's what I mean the identity has not been there it's it's tough love for Braylon Edwards for his beloved Wolverines his new book is doing it my way my outspoken life and it is still outspokenness Michigan Wolverine NFL receiver and beyond Braylon as I said it's a pleasure catching up with you and congratulations with the book and a good luck with us on as many as possible so I like to tell the others to come on the show. thank you maybe I will we'll catch up with the recap in a round thanksgiving before those they I would love to do

"He and Jim horrible had some interesting takes on his old is old master I mean his old urban Meyer urban Meyer has dominated this robbery not just in the Jim Harbaugh era going back before Jim Harbaugh urban culture house state for seven years you want every single one of his match up against high against the Michigan including last year's domination was sixty two to thirty nine a blow out over the Michigan Wolverines last season at the horseshoe and Jim Harbaugh ways on Tim telecom these podcast was ask about urban Meyer who's no longer on the sideline he's in the booth for fox but this is what Jim Harbaugh had to say you know what I don't know if I disagree with us know whether he should have said it okay let's hear it or you can be judged on his record and what your record is overall what your record is within your conference and what your record is head to head matchups with with the other teams that you play right now how soon is the only team that has a has a better record than us has a better conference record in us and has the better head to head match up with this into your action when urban Meyer retired yeah he's really matters had a winning record the really the normal record everywhere is bent on also controversy follows in the words all right so that is that's a T. K. show on the athletic podcast networks in Carroll County bay area obviously those horrible from his nine or days and there is a really good reporter was with the mercury news for years I I listen I want a great concession by horrible he's got a winning record he Jacko by the way you know speak you said he beat him four times three of the four double digits right so they pretty much smoking over including last year but it the question is at what the question but the point is Jim Harbaugh's not wrong he's not he's just stating facts controversy has followed urban Meyer wherever he has been in its I don't know if it's if it's relevant because we all know that these things happen and go warning college football so is it worth the coach said in it especially if you might get helped up more these things somewhere down the line saying Jim Harbaugh's done anything but the fact that he's been dominated by urban Meyer it feels like sour grapes feels like we just but I can't beat him so I got a taste of the bad about it you should take the high road but herb is not there anymore herb is not on the sideline at Ohio state it's Ryan day now who hasn't had to replace a quarterback in Blaine Haskins who was phenomenal a for the Buckeyes last you were fifty touchdowns and obviously a first round draft pick in Justin field who came in from Georgia transfer market he's got to take over so it's like he's throwing gas on the fire that November thirtieth matchup between Michigan at the big house this year in Michigan house day it'll be better when it will be lively but he's supposed to win now yeah because of the transition that's going on it I'll state and the fact that he's going to do is fifty year he's got his quarterback for the second year in a row this last year we got she batters it is finally got his quarterback Jim Harbaugh is gonna find a way to you know take them to the college football playoff because all we needed was his quarterback great I didn't happen last year and you get a second year with the same guy it better happen this year he's not a **** I'm not buying the viral he's not on the hot seat that's going to happen but whether or not he's getting the job done at the level in which we thought you might that is obviously open for debate is all real or is it all one needs about championships allegedly at Michigan that they don't exactly it's about beating Ohio state they don't do that to me what is it really about look they haven't won a title since ninety seven missing and I get to think about where they were before Jim Harbaugh came there I wasn't good Brady Hoke rich rod behind and you weren't even like paying attention to me war because this Michigan yeah I work say and this team has a chance to win a national title was in the conversation any surprises in your one yes with ten ten to three ten and three is one ten times three out of the four years that he's been there a year two was eight five you lost a lot of guys on the on defense the NFL going to try to to be fair right yeah not to look I I urban Meyer never has those excuses I dictated doesn't have those issues that's because urban Meyer has controversy following him

He's the winningest coach in the history of the Michigan program para final four appearances in his twelve years there twenty thirteen in two thousand eighteen now he takes over a rebuilding project in Cleveland getting a five year deal with the Cavs ESPN analyst docket. I think that if I'm the Cavs. I would much rather have HIV line in some. I don't know guy. That's never really done a whole lot. Now, there's not a lot of guys in college that you can go to the NBA all that kind of stuff the peelings. Here's a great pamper. My son played form is great temperamental players ended development. The the rules of the game aren't going to hurt his style at all because rules are different very different. But I think it's a great gift of the Cavaliers? But as you will know, you guys will get some players if you don't that's a bad roster. And you may get some players if you if you're gonna make this work, no matter who the coaches, Dan with that being said, this is a big summer. A lot of free agency conversation how excited a player's going to be in the NBA to play for a coach while he's had a lot of success. It's been in college. It's interesting. I think that I am gonna change a little bit. A lot of players were always talking about got playing league for me to play with you. I think I think people have seen that's going to differ way. Look, let's be on if money talks if the Cavaliers have more money than somebody else. Go get who they want. But also city talks, and I couldn't personally I mean, I I'm a big fan of Cleveland. I love going there when I was coaching bowling green is just two hours away. But if I'm twenty two years old, I got pocket full of cash twenty five years old. I put cash I don't really Cleveland would be a destination. No matter who the coaches unless I'm LeBron I'm from there. So, you know, the guys that are truly going to make a difference probably gonna go to New York probably gonna go to LA probably gonna go to those cities, regardless. But I'm saying is as much as coaching can make a difference in the NBA, which you can some John. We'll make that difference. He will. He is a very good basketball coach on all sides. Offense defense transition. He is a perk. Perfect to handle all ages, older, younger whatever but come on. You got you gotta have guys in aging. Kevin love a hopefully for him developing Colin sex. And then who knows what you got in the middle between Tristan Thompson, and and the rest, and then you gotta hope you win the lottery you throw throw Zion with those guys. Maybe you got something but mandate like like, I remember when his was going to go the Cavaliers he desperately. All you wanna do is talk. Lebron James and see what the Brian James was thinking LeBron his people wouldn't talk to him. There's no Brown there. And you know, what if you can come in the same time as I'm Lehman, we really good thing for it'd be let in Cleveland is this a risk worth taking when you're a guy who's got an eight twenty nine to four sixty eight college record has been transformative at Michigan and your sixty six for jar. I think it's a absolute win win. I mean, you know, sixty six years old. He's leaving comfort sixty six five years. Let's say I don't know six seven eight million dollar cost of living. Cleveland's not bad. If you're going to do it. You do it. Now. That's it. Right. I mean, you're not gonna be offered this five years from now. So I I like it for both. I really do. I think John made the only choice that he could make it. In fact, he was going to leave. Now, if he wasn't gonna leave if he was married to Michigan. Then you obviously, don't even entertain it. But if you're thinking about it. And you sixty six five year deal. Let's go and John gets a five year deal to leave in and head to Cleveland. And yes. It was a headline about an MBA coaching higher. But are Stephen a Smith says? And you got job be Lana. Head coach for the Michigan. Wolverines is the new head confident Cleveland Cavaliers, no problem there. It's news. Here's my point. What the hell is the segment about it? Who cares? I'm John Williamson with the draft tomorrow that might be different. But since you announced this before we know whether or not the Cleveland Cavaliers going to have the number one overall pick which undoubtedly is going to be I on Winston in the upcoming NBA who gives a damn about the Cleveland Cavaliers the pros not there anymore. Kevin loved Sydney on his way out. Don't talk to that man by keeping them in Cleveland some someplace where he could compete for championship. He's a damn good player who the hell out this day. Give a damn about Cleveland graduates. Bravo. Gravel. It's so touching confined. And. I'm sorry. Cleveland the bras there anymore. No one cares about you right now. No, no, no. Your day is common
