"Okay. So . we're here with Dr Taylor, , don't worry we gave a nice bio on you before you came on the line do truly one of the most amazing dermatologist <unk> in the United States like I'm so excited you're here we want to hear about your career little bit before we start talking about the issues of the day that we brought you on to talk about. So . first off what made you want to become dermatologist well, , you know. When . I went to medical school, , I. . wanted to be an interest and I wanted to treat people from the inner city with hypertension and diabetes and cardiovascular disease. . But then during my fourth year medical school did my very first dermatology rotation and I loved everything about the specialty <hes>. . The fact that he could range from Piatra patients to you know those in their eighties and nineties the fact that there was a little bit of surgery. . Pediatrics was cosmetic. . Dermatology in general dermatology. . The fact that you could actually see in feel in touch the pathology as opposed to like pretending, , you can hear it you know through the stethoscope <hes> so that really changed my whole focus. . Now when I graduated I decided nonetheless to do a <unk> internal medicine residency. . But halfway through I said, , you know you've got to remain true to yourself and what are you gonna be happy you know thirty years from now practicing so I went back and did another residency in dermatology in here we are. . Also, , that added a little bit of time onto your career. . It did. . Yes it was so worth it. . Yeah, , and so you I know you're the founder of many amazing things that I've gotten many resources from one of the things that you're known for is. . Working at the skin of Color Center can you and you co-founded that ready did yes. . So I'm back with that is when that started back in nineteen ninety eight I did my dermatology residency at Columbia. . Presbyterian. . Medical Center in about ten years after I had finished I got a call from one of my professors who said you know here in New York, , there's the need for a center that specializes in skin disorders for people with darker skin tones, , and he said, , this was my my mentor. . Dr Deleo. . He says, , you know they say to me you're a nice guy but I want someone who looks like made and so he called me one day and said, , would you be interested in coming to New York in creating some type of center and for me it was an incredible challenge <hes> an incredible need. . This type of center didn't exist anywhere in the world and my mandate was to name it started to figure out what the mission was and that was a wonderful wonderful challenge. . So what I decided was. . This would be a center for. . Instance in clinical dermatology, , we would also perform clinical trials, research , trials, , and at that point, , many dermatologists were very afraid of doing any types of cosmetic procedures on people with darker skin tones. . So we wanted to really gorge path that. . So that's Why we created the skin of Color Center, , I am delighted to report it still in existence. . Now, , it's now affiliated with Mount Sinai and there's a new wonderful director <hes>. . WHO's there? ? Can, , I just ask Dr Leo was he a White Guy? ? Dr Dalil <unk> I didn't know you. . Know can Dr till now goes bad. . You know I'm a tall white guy and they don't want to see a tall white guy. . They want someone who looks like you and you know he's just been a wonderful inspiration over all of these years I'm very fortunate to have had him as a mentor Academic Sense. . So when you let your medical residency, , did you feel like you were prepared to treat all the patients that you were about to say is at the level of care that they are. . Yeah. . So I had the distinct honor and privilege of a doing my dermatology residency New York City in Manhattan like one of the most diverse places on earth. . So from the time I was the first year. . Dermatology residents I saw people with all skin tones. . And all ethnicities and racial groups. . So when I completed three years of residency, , I did indeed the very prepared in diagnosing and treating disorders in people with darker skin tones. . Then I opened up a private practice in Philadelphia, , which is my hometown and I found that over time many women and men of color sought me out because you know it's not just the skin tone, , but it's also the customs habits. . Women did not have to explain to me what they do with their hair because I have the same hair and so there is a cultural competence <hes> and we wanted to create a center were all the doctors no matter what their race or ethnicity was culturally competent. .

"Of fun and and I locked eyes on a Ruger. Pc Nine carving rbm going home was it like love at first sight. You know you look into each other's is in our and that was the thing it actually was so I really do believe in miracles. uh-huh why the obvious question is this is an I wanna say it's odd it's not. It's a cool little rifle all but it is different enough to where you say. Okay what is the use. So what was it about the PC nine that got your attention. Well I wanted something a little larger roger than you know playing with a twenty two something. That wasn't gonNA break the bank and I figure nine millimeters pretty inexpensive true and the gun is really different. It kind kind of reminds me if the emlyn carving was designed today kind of what it really is. You know it's interesting. I say is kind of because the carbon urban was actually a little thirty caliber pistol round really right Really made it very intriguing so I took it out and and I Fired it out at the range and I tell you I. I have a certain expectation I usually set in my mind. You know what. I'm hoping that the firearm will be this. Far Far exceeded it also The quality of the fit and finish the accuracy. Accuracy is really amazing on this and I I ran all the AMMO that I could find just to see what it was gonNA do flawless. Lalla where you didn't have an expectation of a lot of accuracy now I figure you know out of Nine millimeter I figure it was probably. It'll be navy GONNA lack. I figure you know me. Hundred hundred and fifty yards my might be able to hit a of round target. But I don't nope out by at two seventy five. I was hitting that foot round target and I was putting wait. Wait wait wait. Wait at two hundred. Seventy five yards to seventy five. This the thing is super amazingly accurate. It's unbelievable what kind of side did you put on this thing. It's just running the ironsides and it's the site that One carving and how much are you having to hold. I mean. That's a lot of drop or nine millimeter dead distance. I would think right and I get compensate knowing what the drop was but I was able to get a lot of Brown's on target. That's impressive. I was really impressed with it. I mean I thought this just can't be for real. There's somebody's gotta be the main someone's in the Bush shooting at my because mapping Kinda guy out there when you shoot he runs out and whack said steel target with a hammer. Do you reload your ammunition or is this factory ammo reload. I fire all factory AMMO. Okay awesome so I thought you bought the gun. Just because you had a dozen Glock mags laying around and said what can I buy that these fit into I. I like the guy at the counter. Wasn't sure if if the Ruger magazines were specific to the PC nine and when we got to look and full of further into it at stamped damped SR nine right standard s are nine meg and also it comes with an adapter. You put it there and you can use glock magazines in that rifle. Yeah in fact. I have not played with that yet but I did pick up a couple of the What is it Mag Paul Magazines and of course you can also get if you look around. You can find a thirty two or thirty three round Glock Meg. That'll work in there. Now you've got a lot of fun. Oh Oh yeah and in fact if I don't quote me on this but I know as made by Mac Pulse of drum I wanna say it's fifty or sixty round drum. They make you too. I believe now. You're having a fun day at the rains. Now let me throw this out to. You may have already thought about this but I will tell you. I think that the repeal nine car being is actually actually a really good home defense gun. It's funny that you say that because I was running the The one carbon And now then the rigor pc nine in its place ammos better. You got more ammo in a magazine. It's more modern probably more reliable and you got all this great defensive ammo now in nine millimeter. I just think it'd be a great home gun really do right. Oh you know what I actually she liked you. I got my notes here. It was It was two hundred and twenty five yards that I was shooting at that point blank. Then Gee Whiz they got that space down my hallway and my house not thinking the great stocking stuffer for you would be one of those universal meg voters to save the Thumb Initiative actually hinted to the live about stocking stuffers already got her. She's the one that got her concealed weapons permit thirty eight and she shot the carbon. No she has not shot. Got It yet but I know knowing her as well as I do really like it. You Bet because again you almost recoil. That's what a great little rifle. I mean that's a home run with that show. Yes absolutely and and people were eagerly awaiting that coming back to the market and I mart enough to allow you to use Glock magazine. That was that was very UN ruger like in the old days and just brilliant right so we we have in our store like one of the old original Sr nine. I'm thinking that We could give you a combo deal there. Think I will tell you. I am a big fan of this this also. I don't know why that thing got bypassed and people don't pay attention to it but I love it. It's it's got a great trigger. It is slim I mean I just think it's a great shooting pistol nine see. That's one of our favorites and those who don't no if you can find one used out there scarfs it up because that is a nice pistol. Really Rigor pets one of the magazines that were than the PC thirty nine is also the river security nine magazine really. I didn't know that were not. I pick one up and I thought I'M GONNA experiment and see if this is gonNa work because it looked the same side by side it just looks shorter So loaded up put it in there and it yeah. It was flawless at worked great. Well I'll be darned. I did not know that. Just learn something. That's cool or Brad thank you. That is a great range report and congrats and let me tell you hitting targets past two hundred yards with the nine millimeter. Carbon is impressive. It's not just the rifle it's also the shooter. Well my wife says Used sure spent a lot of time out of their range and says yeah well pays off it pays as off making it better. Shooter also pays off keeping you out of the house. So there's that so everybody wins on that one. Thanks Brad take yea. Hey let's talk with Darryl. He's driving through Ohio out of cell phone range. Now Dare you still there. Oh good good so I here. You went hunting. Yeah Pennsylvania with my father in law and his uncle and my wife and uncle sue went very well for me. I ended up with a huge eight point. Buck probably two hundred pounds holy cow. So I'm a gun. So what did you shoot. A with I bought a thirty six REMINGTON seven hundred classics. My brother-in-law several years ago to hunt out there. And that's what I got it with. I Buck I've got with that. Is that like an older. Like maybe a fifteen twenty year old rifle. Yeah that is that fabulous stock design. The the seven hundred classic has great classic stock design. That I think is one of the prettiest stocks rooms ends ever put on a rifle. You scored huge with that. That one made really good were. Yeah that stock if I remember right it's not. It looks very. Are you much like Michelle. The original Ruger seventy seven stock that lend Brownell was involved in the design of that famous stock maker that Classic Classic style stock and not the glossy monte-carlo it's an oil finished stock up. I've always lost it over. I thought that Remington really got it right with those and yeah that goes back. Probably fifteen twenty. I bet it's twenty five years old. I wouldn't wouldn't be at all surprised if he ever wanted to get rid of their eiffel. Ah I you daryl. You are driving through Ohio right now. I know the store you could stop in. If you're going anywhere near Toledo just so happens. I hope by the way do you WanNa Ruger. Sr Nine uh-huh goodness. Are you going by Toledo by chance driving through Saleo right now south. Yup All righty. Well congrats on the buck. That is terrific What emory is by the way I had been using herders Up until this year and I it was running low and didn't have time to run down and get it Cabela's so I Got Some Day one hundred fifty grain from rural king and that worked really good. Yes it will all if you shoot him in the right place they will generally died right there about two times and fell over. Yeah Yeah it's pretty hard to beat a thirty six. I mean there's there's a reason it's been so popular for more than one hundred years. That is great well. Congratulations at his excellent. We I appreciate shape. The range report on that one. That's terrific thanks Cheryl drive safely man all right. Well there you go. I mean think about how classic does that get a Rim seven seven hundred Bolt Action Classic stock in Thirty Six for Pennsylvania hut which is for those who have been to Pennsylvania. I don't know you guys know the drill that is like deer hunter heaven. Yeah in the woods turned blaze orange. If I don't know if it's true true but I heard a story that way back as before. Cellphones that the phone companies would actually go put cell phones Out at various places on the roads because there were so many hunters out and on deer and deer season but evidently it's just like they closed the the public schools and people. Just get off work and everybody goes on. Why would you put cellphones? I I you lost me for the pay phone pay payphones out there for people because they had so many people out and before cell phones are out they pay phones out installed him out there so I don't know if that's true but I like the image here. Hey found we'll spread it spread it is also payphone. Is They have a shelf and they leave often there and you put a dollar on their and use. Its that boxes. Superman changed in kidding. Yeah among all those things you show pictures of two younger people say you know what this that end back.
