"I was still covering state politics at the time in Virginia. So I didn't, I wasn't down in Florida, but I watched it like everybody else, and I do think you're right. There's some eerie similarities there. Oh my goodness, I've got tattoos from then. Because every day, it was every day was a new headline, 25 different lawsuits. David Boyce squaring off against Ted Olson, Ted Cruz down there. W are running around. James baker in town. Al Gore. It was wild that I think Pennsylvania is going that way. So Michael, the president's in Seoul, Korea. I'm just curious, how did you not draw the short straw and have to go? A lot of people think everybody loves to go on these trips. I'm not sure that's true when you're over 50.

Gas Prices Reach Record Highs, Again

"A new marker yesterday gas is hit $4 a gallon in all 50 states. In California, $6 and 29 cents a gallon for regular. I'm thinking about someone stuck on the 55 and the 91 coming in from Marino valley over to the coast or someone coming down from Santa Barbara or the one O one into LA and certainly those very long commutes up into the city or Silicon Valley, $6 and 29 cents a gallon. You know, yesterday, Joe Biden invoked the defense production act for baby formula to make it easier to make baby formula. I think he should invoke the defense production act to make more gasoline. Does anyone ask him that in the press corps I'll ask Michael to share that. You know, it was a big deal. The DNP, the DPA, defense production act for baby formula. Why not the DPA for gasoline?

Peter Doocy Tangles With Karine Jean-Pierre Over Disinformation Board

"Peter doocy. A national treasure tangling with Kareem, everybody's a racist, but me, Jean Pierre, in The White House press briefing. Last week you guys said that you needed this disinformation governance board at DHS to make sure that freedom of speech is protected across the country and that these platforms are not used for forms of disinformation. So what changed? Look, the Department of Homeland Security, they began their statement repeating that the board had been intentionally mischaracterized, which is a little bit of what you were asking me. And they were explicit about what it does and doesn't, it does not do. It was never about censorship, policing, speech, or removing content from anywhere. It's function was to keep Homeland Security officials aware of how bad actors, including human smugglers, transnational criminal organization and foreign adversaries could use disinformation to advance their goals as secretary Marco said, he has asked former DHS secretary Michael chernoff and former DAG Jamie to lead a thorough review. This is the pause that I was talking about and assessment as members of the bipartisan Homeland Security Council advisory council. The board will not convene during that period, but the department's work across several administrations to address this information that threatens the security for our country is critical and will continue. So that work is going to continue. So if it's pausing because you think the Borg was mischaracterized, then the disinformation board is being shut down because of disinformation. Is that what's happening here? Look, I mean, the board was put forth for a purpose, right? To make sure that we really did a really did address what was happening across the country when it came to disinformation. It's just, it's going to pause. There's been a mischaracterizations from outside outside forces. And so now where we're going to do is we're going to pause it, and we're going to do an

Jason Pye and Doug Chat About Alabama's Parole Board

"Board shot down every single case, denying relief to 28 eligible people. Including this man, Michael bettis, he said, he is serving. He has served, hear me, served 12 of 20 year sentence for marijuana possession and distribution. He served 12. He sat at a minimum security work center where they worked him for $2 a day. Turned him down. Now is costing you folks in just to let you know out there. Probably upwards of between 50. I mean, 15 and $30,000 to house him for a year. The older he gets, the more expensive that gets. Okay? This is the part that is really, I think if we emphasize this kind of. Now, I'm not going to go into because again, to get a 12 of 20, it's marijuana possession and distribution. You know how those chargers will work. But there's nothing else here that indicates that the 12 years is not more than sufficient to have him even on supervised probation, whatever it may be. But to get him out. But they turned out all 28 eligible, not a one. I mean, is this the case where honestly the headlines are affecting what should be non attributable boards. I don't know of a better way to put that. I don't want to say partisan because in a way they are, but are political boards. I mean, what would a call something like this? And again, they might come out that there's something you need to, but he wouldn't be now think about this folks. He wouldn't be eligible for parole. If they had to not satisfied everything else in his sentences, taken into his past to get the sentence that he's currently under. It's kind of mind boggling because I think I'm not trying to be mean here. I am from Georgia. But this is Alabama, which is, which is a notoriously tough state when it comes to when it comes to crime. But even Alabama has taken some steps in the right direction when it comes to prison reform. I mean, I remember there was a state I think state senator cam ward there who helped usher through Alabama's prison reforms back in, I don't know, 6, 7, 8 years ago. And that was at the time when DoJ had followed lawsuit over prison conditions in Alabama. But it's unfortunate. And it's frustrating because there had to be one person deserving of some sort of parole who they

Michael Knowles: Why Catholic Support for the Right to Life Is Lagging

"Michael Knowles, host of the daily wires, the Michael Knowles show, everybody check that out. Michael, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk show. It is great to be with you, man. Thanks for having me. Well, it's great to have you on the show all the time. I mean, it's great to have an apostate Catholic, be able to explain these horrendous poll numbers. I was like, Michael, you got some splaining to do my friend. Got this plane. Catholics, according to pew, you got 48% of Catholics that believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. So that's 48 to 47%. What the heck is going on right now? Well, it's very sad, but the reason that you see that is because Joe Biden calls himself a Catholic. Nancy Pelosi calls herself a Catholic. The Cuomo family has called themselves Catholics. They don't ascend to the teachings of the Catholic Church, but they were raised Catholic. Maybe they went to church on Sunday sometimes. And so they take it on as a kind of cultural identity. In a similar way that Jews will do this. Jews being an ethnicity and a religion will say I'm Jewish, even if they don't believe anything about the Jewish religion and they don't follow any of the practices. I have a sort of personal connection to this in that I was raised a cradle Catholic. I was, we have infant baptism, that's one of the reasons that people will keep this identity even if they don't actually practice the religion. And I went away. I fell away from the faith for about ten years. And I came back to it, and I came back to it in a very gradual way. And I came back to it through certain Protestant thinkers and through certain actually not even not Christian thinkers, and then I was convinced God exists. And then I was convinced Jesus is who he says he is, and that I was convinced that the Catholic Church really is the Catholic Church. And so I came back to it with all the zeal of a revert. All the zeal of a convert. And it drives me crazy because it take, for example, Joe Biden, who says he's Catholic, he goes, I believe he receives communion at mass, he is in a state of grave and unrepentant sin. He is supporting abortion in a very public way. He is committing the sin of scandal. He is committing all sorts of skins. And the scandal here is that he's leading the flock astray and it's a real risk. When Christ says, it's not going to go very well for those of you who lead the little ones astray. It's just thinking about that verse. Millstones and all of that. That's what we're talking about here. We're actually not even really talking about

Let's let's start with this since we're taping this wednesday afternoon and it just happened a couple of hours ago. Aaron rodgers testing positive for covert. Obviously he's in a ten day protocol will miss the game sunday against the chiefs so that means he's unvaccinated after. He said he was unionized. Everyone's all wrapped up in rogers. Let me ask you this. Because i think this is an angle. People aren't really covering yet because it's so fresh. I'm curious if the packers we don't know what the packers knew or didn't know but the packers unvaccinated and didn't follow the protocols. I would imagine the packers could be in for big hit here from the nfl.

"And the here I am, you know, and so my mission isn't just about my book. I mean, it tells my story, but it's like I understand that our suicide rate not only in our veteran community, but in our first responder community is a lot higher than people realize because in the first responder community, they're not tracing it like the veteran community is. They should be, but they're not. It's still very taboo. It's not considered a line of duty death. The family is left without a respectful funeral. It's awful, how it's handled. And it's not across the board. I know some agencies are really good about it, but overall I would venture to say if I guess maybe 10% agencies handle suicides in their ranks better than the other 90%. It's taboo and it's not considered line of duty. And I don't agree with that. But I know a lot of people don't. But anyway, so I want to erase the stigma because I know for me, the reason I wasn't asking for help long before when I should have was the stigma. I was afraid of them taking me to the mental hospital and throwing away the key and losing my gun in my badge and when I talked to others, you know, survivors of suicide, victims, that's what it is. They wouldn't talk about their issues because they were embarrassed or ashamed or afraid of what would happen to their careers. And I want to change that. I want to make it I want to fix the leadership so that they understand what they can be doing better for their people. So it won't get to that point because the problem is trust. We need better trust. And I want to let those who've been through hell, understand that there are options for them. And if their agency won't handle help them, there are lots of other options. They just need to know where to look. You come out of this amazingly. Thank you. Appreciate that. I love operated in and around this space for quite some time now and it's good to see somebody who can take trauma and flip it on its ass. And you know, you always carry the weight, but you're pleasantly optimistic on life. Seems like. Well, I've already hit rock bottom. So once you hit rock bottom, you got nowhere to go, but up, you know? And I'm not going to sit in pretend I did it by myself. I didn't. You know, I was blessed. I had the right people in my world that knew exactly. The rocks down there. I saw you know when rock bottom. So I called right with other rocks down there. That's what you lean on to kind of push you way back up. It's crazy because fake it till you make it. Yeah, if you learn that from us, right? But with the first responders and the police officers, man, when they go into war every day in their own communities. I mean, the definition when we go into combat is that we're leaving something dead on the ground. The separations that we go out of the country to do our business. They send us over there. I mean, we avoid intersections. We have intersections. We'll go way out of our way to avoid a certain intersection. You know, or a house on the street, you know, yeah, that might be the shortest way to get there, but I don't want to drive through there..

"Growing up because airborne benning's down there so we would always go and then when I was at Bragg, too for a while. So every now and again during a holiday, we get to venture out. But please, go ahead. Yeah, I know. So I lived there for a year. Working basically day in office job at nights is a nightclub waitress. And then so I got a question. What's the difference then? 'cause when we transition out, we still have the same we have a job in the military, like we're crank paper and we do right? It ultimately boils down to the camaraderie. Yeah? Oh, yeah, and there is none. There is none. There's no commonality. It just, it was, oh, it just sucked. I mean, I moved to a city and I didn't know anybody my age. Nobody to hang out with. It was just me. And I picked Atlanta because I wanted to be far enough away from home, but close enough to go home for a long weekend. It was three hours. So and I had an uncle there that could help me find a job. So but then, let's see, I settled in there. It was in May of 93. No. That's not right. That helped her. Yeah, no, it would have been May of 93 ish. And then it was a few months later that one 30 in the morning, somebody knocked at my door and it was my mom. And she had been held hostage for ten days against her will till they ran out of food. And she convinced my dad to let her go to the grocery store and she literally left with the clothes on her back and drove three hours to show to put my doorstep. And that was it. She finally left him. And that was your dad doing that? My dad. He held her at gunpoint and disabled the car and did the phones..

I'm like they're rare. There's not that many of them. And she's like, yeah, I know. We need to flood it. We need to get a minute. I was like, no, no. They're rare. There's not that many of them on earth. You know, so I was like, they're just a rare human being. No matter how much you throw in there, man, it's still gonna the disposal still gonna catch that big stuff and then your primes will come out. But yeah, and that's the biggest.

"As a woman, things happen once a month. Yeah. And I did math and figured out that that was going to be an issue for me. And they told me the hell or monkeys were going to come after me in a ten mile radius. So I didn't have a gun to protect myself and I thought of everything. They make you move outside camp. Hey, hey, we need to put ten out of camp. Flank security about it. At the envision of being attacked by hordes of fucking little, I'm sorry, I hate this monkeys to this day. Those evil little gotta hate those monkeys. That's brilliant. They were gonna need you to push you out to the right Flank about half a mile. Yeah, you're gonna be by yourself. Yeah. So, but I made it, I made it. There you go. They asked me how I felt and I know I've pissed off a lot of feminists with this. I've had so many, you know, hardcore women over the years approach me in uniform as a police officer. Good for you. Good for showing those guys, you can do anything you can do. And anything they can do. And I just kind of shake my head and say, have you ever served a military? No, they were served in uniform. No, then how do you know? How do you know that we can do anything they can do? I said, because I have, and I can tell you, I'm all about women being driving tanks and flying fighter planes and I got no issues with that. I said, but going out on a battlefield, I said, and having to carry a brother out who weighs 200 and something pounds is another 80 to a hundred pounds strapped to him out of a gunfight. I don't care how much adrenaline you got. I said, I don't know when to do it. I said, I don't believe in going in special ops..

"A few months later, I got orders. I got down there and more or less settled, but the wounds were still very fresh. Obviously for everybody that was there. A lot more happened than what the world knew about. Yeah, they hadn't even got done licking the wounds by the time you got there so. Yeah. Exactly. People hadn't even got time to get over the fact that that had happened. It was. No, no, no. We lost four guys. The loss was difficult to say the least. And if my memory serves me correctly, I think it was the first time we had a big loss in a long time. Good to see you now. Yeah, so sadly, of course, that changed your time, but that time that was a big one. So yeah, it was it was very you know how sales do it, man. We're always trying to outdo each other. That's the only way that's the only way we can look at that in a positive light, right? It's just like, man, just we're always trying to do each other. It's gonna go bad for us. "It's cool. So a lot of that full stuff grew up around. Saw the first shuttle launch, you know, of many. And then we left in 83 and we moved to BFE North Carolina. And I mean BFE, like miles from the nearest neighbor. And dirt road, you know, I had a three wheel motorcycle that I raced wrecked on a ridiculous number of occasions. They got those three wheelers. The ATVs? Yeah. Yeah. And you know, my grandpa, the same when I was telling you about they had bought property on the mountain as well. So they're like our only neighbors. And he would get me out of so much trouble if my parents found out about it. My ass would have been beaten that I would never wrote that thing again, but I was kind of a wild child a little bit. And then but my dad was he was abusive. He was a paranoid schizophrenic. We didn't know that then. It was something that came out much later, which was the one where my book dig in. The one word for NASA? Yeah. Yeah, and they're 30 year marriage. He was he worked only 7 years. He couldn't, like, every time they do a layoff, he was always in the first one to lay off. You know, and he never did anything wrong or criminal. He was just an asshole. So, I mean, we have exist. Say again. They exist. Down here, yeah. Yeah, he just, he just, he didn't play well with others. And he anyway, mom was young when they married, and she had the old Christian beliefs for better for worse. I chose words. That was my fault and she stayed with him because she didn't want me to come from a divided home. I didn't know any better as a young child, but when I got into my teenage years and started spending time with other families and I looked at their families and I could compare it to my family. I realized, wow, my family's jacked up. You know, my parents got issues. So I was 13 when I joined when the stark was hit. And I remember watching it on the news and coming from that passionate meaty background as far as I would concern, there was no other branch of military. I mean, it was like army who marines what? You know, that was just that was just my navy navy. That's all I ever heard. So I decided to him the navy would be a really good choice for me to see the world, get an education, get away from home. It was a really, really small town. And I just wanted to get away. So that's why I joined the navy. You came out of Carolina? Yeah. North Carolina joined the media there..

"Way we've got to be able to amplify that word. We have all the time. You've been what in here? I did my thesis in an undergrad and on a tie writer. I've been there. Haven't I had something I was gonna ask her right before we started talking about that too. She said typewriter. Oh, it's funny in the closet. I've got a 1960s old school manual that keep his face. It's an Antigua. Yeah, we are about that stuff. It's cool to see how far it's evolved into something like this. Okay, so I got a question for you. Okay. Real fast. I was my mother teaches the kids piano. And she was she could type really well. And I was sitting there trying to learn it and putting the letters on the keys, so it's like a typewriter. And I was like, can you play the piano too? Because it's not no. Because it's all about it's the same thing. It's just the keys on a keyboard, just like that. But I think you got to have that musical gene. Yeah, because my mom did, my mom played the church organ and my daughter plays beautifully, but that whole didn't creative musical gene to skipped me completely. You gotta be able to read music because it's both hands. Yes. So it's typed in. You have to be on both sides. Yeah, but people read code all the time and my point with it is. Does anybody care what I'm going with that? No, not even. You don't even see any similarity on a keyboard with letters on it. No. No, you're right, you're right, Marcus, but I can spell, but I can't read music. That's totally. Right now, man. Where do we just go? I love rabbit holes. I can spell but I can't read music. Typewriter. Typewriter. Donna, how did you get your start in the navy? Well, back it up. Tell us where you're from where you grew up. Okay guys, guys. So I'm from originally from Florida this space coast area. My dad and my grandfather being my mother's father, right? Worked out on the recovery boats that recovered the parts of the launches. In capsules coming back cool. Yeah, they came back into the ocean and they run the recovery teams. So that's how my mom met my dad. When a UDT 'cause they used to be the UDT divers that were doing that. My uncle, everybody able to confirm it, Michael's passed away. I was told he wasn't maybe diver, but I don't think he was UDT..

"How does Vena Najah respond to them? Well firstly forcefully, they are not spy. She says they are pawns. Be Very clear. They are ponts. She says you know. Remind reminds us all this has happened before. This is a pattern with China that even in documents released about conversations that were held before Mung Zhou was detained that Vancouver airport in two thousand, eighteen, the Canadian government was reminded. Do this and remember. Canadians could be taken out of retaliation. So she also points out that China may tend to overtly deny a connection, but then we'll always say when asked about two men what needs to happen to have them released. The candidate needs to correct its mistake so in an elaborate wage. China routinely makes the link to, but she says you know ponds just remember they are pots. Let's see another bit of of the conversation which picks up on that very point. So I think it is very important for all of us to be clear on the fact that we can end the extradition process that is within the rule of law in accordance with the rule of law. It is not in any way judicial interference that the minister can act whether the ministers should. Is a second question in that is a conversation. We should be having instead of hiding behind a supposed- independence of judiciary so-forth. Let's have that conversation should administer do that. And how would the minister do that? That then becomes a matter of political discretion Adrian. Just before I let you go. The Canadian government has said that can't get involved in judicial proceedings. Why is she making the argument against her? She says the government does have an option to consider that isn't and that will. She appreciates it may decide. It's on Canada's interest to exercise that option. She wants to know why the doors been closed. She asked Brand Greenspan the lawyer to look at the extradition act he did. He says you're right. Vena nine, hundred, ninety nine. There was a shift in the language of the extradition. Act that says the Minister of Justice could stop proceeding like this at parts of the process and could have done so early on. That's illegal safety valve. In case arguably extradition underway that could be considered not good for count range of reasons. I suppose this is my laypersons. Understand you this, but you know she's taken it to Louise Arbour former supreme. Court justice, shaking to Allen Rock and our boy says yes, minister can and should step in this request to detain and then extradite. Malaysia was a problem from the very beginning for Canada. Lots of people are going to argue it's a bad idea, Venus. Maybe, it is a bad idea. Just have the conversation. We're going to pick this up with Allen. Rock right now Adrian. Thank you. Certainly Adrienne Arsenault co-host of the national as you heard. Two of Canada's preeminent legal voices agree with Vienna knowledgeable former Supreme Court Justice Louise Arbour Justice Minister Allan Rock recently prevent presented to the government with the legal opinion, saying that the government can as you heard. Stop that extradition process against. Joe Allen Rock Good Morning. Good, Morning Matt. Why did you and Louise Arbour feel that? You needed to seek out? Legal opinion with regards to the case of the cases I suppose of Michael's spout recovering in the case of among Lonzo. Well because Louisan I believe very much that the government is pre-empting any discussion of options in this case by insisting. That extradition is like a criminal prosecution and their response when when ministers or the prime minister or asked about this case, well a matters before the court, we cannot comment. The rule of law is engaged. It's improper. Try to influence an independent judiciary, but our fundamental point is that that is wrong at this is nothing like a criminal prosecution. It's an administrative prospects and parliament has made it clear that the Minister of Justice who manages the process. May step into to terminate the extradition proceeding at any time during the judicial phase. One might ask. Why did parliament include that section twenty, three three in in in the extradition act? I believe if you look at the parliamentary debates at the time mad, it's clear that. They. They wanted an exceptional case to be provided for. There can be unusual cases in which the government might decide. It's not in Canada's best interest to continue with an extradition to the most important objective that. We have in putting this before. The public is to demonstrate. The Minister of Justice does have that option. Let's have a discussion about what what those options are. CBC contacted the Office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General candidates sent us a statement, which in part reads with respect to the extradition processing candidate extraditions are conducted in conformity with the Extradition Act, were well aware of the laws and processes, governing this important regime as Mrs among case remains before the courts, and the Minister of Justice Has Drexel in the extradition process. It would not be appropriate to comment further on this matter. You were in cabinet if you were sitting in cabinet now and this were presented. What essentially is being framed as a trade between Mum Joe and Michael Savage and call? Would you approve that? Well, let's Let's look at that option I think right now. We cannot have that public discussion for for the very reason that you just read out some the Justice Department's press release. They say we can't even talk about that right because the Minister of Justice has a role. He eventually has to decide in the ministerial phase, so we cannot even talk about any options. So that's point number one point number two I understand that reasonable minds can differ on the question whether we should have the minister terminate the preceding now send Mung back to China and and secure the return of the two Canadians. I understand it's controversial. There are those who say it'd be giving into. Blackmail the into a bullying setting a bad precedent. But. This is an unusual case in unusual time W-. It's a very different case. Math than it was in twenty eighteen when it started, who could have known that a pandemic would delay court proceedings considerably resulting in longer detention for the to Michael, so if you were so if you're sitting in the cabinet now, would you approve this? I would debate fully I'd because all the merits? my own inclination would would be. I don't style it. As an exchange of prisoners on the bridge, I styled as a decision made by a sovereign country. That's own interest, not the interest of China or the United States, but our own interest. To end the preceding, and I would be inclined to end the proceeding and to say it's in our interests to do that because our our citizens are a grave risk, because the viruses again live in China. They're having another outbreak. The pandemic has delayed court proceedings so that their detentions going to be prolonged the Chinese now have laid criminal charges and propose a show trial to Canadians on a show trial, and frankly our entire foreign policy is hostage to the situation. But that leads to other questions of at the foreign policy, one is our relationship with the United States candidates stuck between these two enormous countries and see in in the United States and China. How do you think that is being weighed by the Trudeau government particularly when it comes to our allies south of the border? I fully recognize that the prime minister and the government are in a very difficult situation with China on the one hand and the US out the other, and.

Do <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> seeing <Speech_Male> how they reacted <Speech_Male> to <Speech_Male> basically a <Speech_Male> completely different song <Speech_Male> was a cool <Speech_Male> experience <Speech_Male> to watch <Speech_Male> them be like oh <Speech_Male> they put in the work. <Speech_Male> They changed this. <Speech_Male> They really thought about <Speech_Male> who they were pitching the song <Speech_Male> to so. <Speech_Male> This song <Speech_Male> was much <Speech_Male> more suited <Speech_Male> for Julia <Speech_Male> than the <SpeakerChange> original <Speech_Female> song was <Speech_Music_Female> so much <Speech_Music_Female> for being a part of <Speech_Music_Female> this process <Speech_Music_Female> and for all <Speech_Music_Female> the work you guys did. <Speech_Music_Female> And the Song <Speech_Music_Female> I've picked record <Speech_Music_Female> is <Speech_Female> <Speech_Music_Female> Keegan's give <Speech_Music_Female> it to you. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> She says <Speech_Male> that and then everything <Speech_Male> just kind of a Blur. <Speech_Male> She comes down. "Know by. I never knew. He paid more attention to what Julia had mentioned as far as the never do comment that she made and so we worked on another version of the song called. Never do so at this point. We've got three different songs. We've got glad you came the original and then changed it to a minute with you. Then I go in and I talked to Ryan and we've changed it to never do so completely different lyrics the but the melodies of stayed because Julia mentioned the room that she felt like most of the lyrics will have to change. It was GONNA have to be pretty much of a rewrite which I expected. You know what I mean. That wasn't a surprise to me just based off of the content of the song. So we've got three different versions of the song of this point and then eventually Ryan. Here's back from Julia. And then she comes with this completely different idea totally different from anything that me and him had come up with and so basically she was just like I wanted to be more stripped back so me and Ryan start working on a fourth version of the song called. Give it to you and so we finally finish out. This final version Ryan made the decision that we needed to bring it a female vocalist to sing it to just kinda give Julia a better picture of like. This is what it would sound like if I were singing it. That is Austin who came in saying that and she was awesome. She did a great job learning the song quickly and under pressure so excited to hear what you guys did. King is going to play Guitar Keegan and this is give.

Oh I am in trouble your son's big range to commodores to Bob. Dylan you have pretty diverse. Music Tastes Birmingham Music. I love all kinds of music. All kinds listened to everything but I knew going in. I started out with Elvis Presley. I figured I'm going to stick to the classics. Yeah Throw them off with a low vocal range and then I hit him with the little. Billy Ray Achey breaky heart And then and then lean on the was by before my dad had passed last August fourth and he really like best buds and lean on me was one of our favorite songs so I hit him with that. And then a little sweet home Alabama and then and then brought it all the way around on the anniversary Oddly enough in my brain hemorrhage was exactly on West Coast I was singing knocking on Heaven's door and the tenth anniversary of surviving my Survivor brain hemorrhage how how crazy is wild. What a surreal moment right there. Unbelievable it was it was is surreal as it gets. They were literally as I was singing. Knocking on. Heaven's door On the West Coast time and playing the piano Is when ten years earlier. They were literally operating on my brain. And and how are you feeling now? I feel great. I honestly I feel I feel first of all grateful rape full to be on the good side of the dirt talking to you Becoming a human ban banana all off and And to celebrate it and my diabetes is in at the moment of feeling in good shape at good Considering that the world and everyone is we're all in this together going through the Staying alive healthy and mentally well and physically well during the coronavirus. And and obviously it's gotTa throw a monkey wrench into the touring. Are you going to have more Again are you going to take more precautions when you are able to return to the road or have? Have you even thought about that? No doubt no doubt there. Here's the thing. Armor thousand percent person handshake a hugger. How you doing person and I want to be able to do that. One thousand percent but I think the first thing before we go out and do the stadium tour before we continue in the arenas with Solo tour. "Jillian. Hey how are you gonNa have you on again? Hi Robbie me my gosh. Of course I was just reading your breakdown about your APP and seven minutes just sounds amazing like we were trying to figure out like what we could ask people to do right now. You know because the kids are all everything's crazy and we were like all right seven minutes. Everybody can commit to seven minutes so we use their free. You download the APP and anyone can do it at home. No equipment needed seven minutes in heaven. Concerned know about that but seven minutes. Jillian does that include like any warm up or just seven minutes start to finish. Let's go seven minutes start to finish. Let's go but the idea the hope is that you will. Maybe you like is three minute. Cardio warm up and a three minute stretch on your own. But ironically like I didn't Kinda come up with seven minutes in a vacuum. It's all based on data. So as kind of micro workouts in many workouts have risen to popularity. That number seems to be the magic number so we were like all right. It's the least barrier eventually right. There's no charge. You don't have to travel. You don't need any equipment. It's not too hard. It's not too easy. It gives people a sense of accomplishment. It's like this. Little seven minute micro break and that really kind of his like a gateway drug. You can hope it's like a gateway working to get people to do more but that does seem to be kind of the number that they can manage right now but it's not so crazy that you if you don't warm. You're going to get hurt like we're not doing Olympic lifts or planned metrics like it. It's just body weight training Calisthenics using body weight. So yes. I'd love more but it's seven minutes all in right now. Do you Kinda get frustrated. That that's the limit seven minutes because I don't want to. I hope people don't take this the wrong way but I think a seven minutes and I'm like it sounds amazing to like my to my laziness and to just also know that okay at least seven minutes but like that. Don't they recommend thirty and it's like shouldn't we all be trying to do more than that? Do you know what I mean like me well. Let's do more. I mean three years when I was younger. I used to get furious. People would say things like just take the stairs and I was like. We're talking to guarantee that I realized that like you. You know you Kinda gotTa meet people where they're act so I mean look. Yeah I've got twenty minute. Workouts THIRTY MINUTE WORKOUTS. Forty five minute workout. Sixty minute work. Which is totally unnecessary to be honest. Like twenty to thirty minutes done right four times a week will be more than more than effective. Especially when you're eating right but unfortunately or with maybe that's the wrong word because I don't WanNa make anybody feel bad but the reality is people. I think are judged overwhelmed over worked. They're intimidated and they're they've they can say anything from. I don't have the money I don't have the time. I don't have the equipment. So there's something about these little micro workouts that you think are I. I can do that. It doesn't sound horrible. It doesn't sound miserable. So yes he kinda get him in the door with that and then hopefully it does become a bait and switch. So it's like you know Grad. Let's try you know. Give me just a few or And you you hope to acclimate them introduce them get them a base level of conditioning. Get them comfortable with carving out some time And then you get like good. Get him like toity minute And and again if Don Right. Twenty minutes world work But you know you gotta you gotTa make every minute that those twenty minutes counts but that that is the goal right. Is We start with. Something's better than nothing. Get them in the door. Warm them up acclimate them and then you know then you kind of do that. Bayton switch of like all right. Now Gimme Gimme a little bit more. So basically you're seven minutes is like a way to were. There's no justifiable. Excuse around that's like we're not using weights. It doesn't cost you anything. It's only seven minutes. What excuse could somebody possibly come up with to say that? They can't do seven minutes because their kids are in school right. Wow always saying excuse. I totally I totally agree with you. And the argument there is like look. You know what you give them the ipod. You use the apparent for ten minutes or you know they jump around behind you do it with you. We have yet. I've tried that so many times and it it. It really doesn't seem to work in my household I look at my daughter. She's like you in either doing something totally wrong. And I'm like the trainer in me like No. No no no. No no no no no. No No. Don't do that. You're going to get so I finally. I'm like okay. You know what I'm GonNa work it out. Here's your IPAD and we'll play later But I I just don't think right now the concept of being perfect it anything with laughable before this moment now it's it's downright hilarious like forget it like home schooling than the other. It's just not going to be perfect. You do the best you can and if you give your kid in Ipod for ten minutes twenty minutes thirty minutes while you work out the world is not GonNa End. I totally hear you on that I do have an excuse. That is a lot that I would love to to figure out why I don't like working out by myself. I hate it like I truly don't like in an even when I if I were to go on an APP Mike trainer hasn't happened it. I'd go on there and I'm like man like you know. She says to do three rounds. And I'm like I'm good but if I had someone else in there if like my husband Mike was in the gym or if like my friends I'd be like all right guys thirty more swats like let's do this. I just don't like working out alone and it really sucks because I don't really have as many like you active like let's go get. Let's go go do it. So it's just it's like. Is that like what's wrong with me? Why like what are WHA? How can I change that like mindset? There's nothing wrong with you. There's a reason it's called fit Bam you know what I'm saying like this. There's a reason this stuff is like church for people because it does provide a sense of community and Camaraderie and we're all in this together and I mean it it. It's a huge industry group. Classes all like for a reason it's because about social component right So there's nothing wrong with you. You're you're actually wired perfectly correctly human beings designed to be social And what I would say is in this. Particular instance try. If you're the instagram live workouts. Kinda suck I started doing warn justice Sunday and thirty Pacific and in my mind and migrate. This is ridiculous like I don't know if they can hear me. I don't know if the music is like. Can you hear me over the music? Like I can't see what they're saying. I'm trying to instruct a workout like it's on a tiny little phone. I don't think this constructed the TV but you know what the people loved it because it gave them wasn't as a trainer. Of course I was annoyed. Because it's like it's not perfect as a trainer. It's like I wanna hear everything. See everything I want your feedback. I want to know what you're doing and even my APP allows that 'cause you can say too hard too easy. Don't want this move. Don't like these foods and then you'll get the response. I would give you in real life but on instagram like. I don't know what they're doing but I think people love it because even though it's not perfect is giving you a sense of like we're all this together. We're all doing this at the same time for sure. Okay I'll I'll I'll give that a shot or trying to do your friends. We OUGHT ZOOM. Zoom is going crazy now right like you do with like five friends and throw up a video that you're doing at the same time seriously. That's not bad Jillian. How you doing with this personally like obviously your profession. Your whole world is is active in doing these kinds of things. So how how are you feeling just like on a daily basis? Are you going stir crazy? I mean I know you can still get outside. But you're still limited with what you can do. You know it's interesting. I on one hand. I WanNa be like we got this and it's okay and don't worry team but on the other hand I feel like that would be false and while I know it's going to be okay and while I know that there is a great lesson and opportunity for each and every one of us to grow from this and become better. I think it's important to acknowledge that this is the ultimate like it is just such an incredible head. I don't know your got so everybody I know is having pretty intense feelings about very different things so it could be a couple. That's been married for ten years and never had a fight and now they're at each other's throats and Y- their home all day long together and it's totally bizarre. It could be that. You've lost your job where you have a hair salon with forty thousand dollars a month overhead and you can't pay your bills for the first time and you don't know where the next meal is coming from. It could be that you have older parents that you're extremely worried about. It could be that your kids are home. I mean for me. It's it's the kids it's been really not my kids. Actually here's the crazy part. My kids have actually been fine if mean feeling guilty because I still have work and in fact I have more work than ever right now. Because it's like I've got so many different businesses and some are being impacted by this badly summer doing fine like my APP. But then it's like I've gotta constantly feed that beast with new content and free content and slash the price and do all different. It's just I'm busier than ever workwise. And the other day I literally was like. Oh my God it's one thirty. I haven't seen my daughter. She's in her room in a dark room in her pajamas. Shazad lunch and I was like. Oh God like it was the worst feeling I was like. I'm neglecting her and I am. I'm ignoring her and I am. It's terrible for her. She's like not around her friend. She's this home. School thing is a joke flat out joke. At least my kids schools and they go to different schools. And it's like that to me is really messing with my head. Manav. I'm not the only mom walked with my mom's this morning and they're all struggling because they felt guilty like they weren't being good enough parents so you're not alone and thank you for sharing honesty for sure it's tough. Oh my gosh it's crazy. That's what's messed with my hat me personally. But just give yourself a little grace. Because you're not the only mom feeling that you're truly not I mean it's just.
